Spacecraft Bonanza! - The Planetary Post with Robert Picardo - Duration: 5:33.
This is Robert Picardo and you're watching the Planetary Post.
Hello again and welcome back to the Planetary Post.
First off, earlier this month, the Voyagers 1 and 2 spacecraft celebrated 40 years of
being in space.
Now, to be clear, I'm speaking of this Voyager which NASA launched in 1977.
Not this one, which Starfleet will launch some time in 24th century.
Anyway, the Voyager spacecraft carried the famous golden records with messages from Earth
to any distant world that may someday come across them.
To celebrate the 40th anniversary, NASA's JPL held a contest and one lucky individual's
word were chosen to be broadcast to Voyager 1 from mission control.
To send the message off, they invited none other than my fellow Star Trek alumnus, William
Shatner.
Captain Kirk himself.
Let's have a look.
William Shatner is with us in Mission Control today.
What an honor.
I'm so pleased to be here.
Can we have the envelope please?
Can we have the envelope please?
Here we go.
Oliver Jenkins.
We offer friendship across the stars.
You are not alone.
That's fantastic.
Okay.
Commander Engineer Annabelle Kennedy, send the message.
On your command.
We are radiating message to Voyager at 17:20:01.
That's fantastic!
I am so delighted!
Me too!
We offer friendship across the stars.
You are not alone.
Well done, Oliver.
And congratulations to both Voyagers on 40 magnificent years.
And to my Voyager for 7 seasons in a very competitive television marketplace.
Also this month, we said a bittersweet goodbye to the Cassini spacecraft when NASA successfully
crashed it into Saturn's atmosphere.
While the spacecraft is now gone, the mission goes on!
Data from Cassini will continue to thrill planetary scientists with new discoveries
for decades to come.
For Picardo's Pic this month, here are some of the final images from Cassini.
And if you missed the opera tribute to Cassini, you really haven't lived.
(Singing) Dazzled our eyes.
Who is this?
He's very good.
Next up, the OSIRIS-REx spacecraft had been orbiting the Sun for the past year, but on
September 22nd it made a close flyby of Earth.
And our planet's gravity helped slingshot it out to its rendezvous with the asteroid:
Bennu.
Some of you may remember, that the asteroid was named Bennu because of a contest that
The Planetary Society ran for NASA.
One of our own young members, Mike Puzio, was only 9 years old when he won the contest
by suggesting Bennu after an ancient Egyptian deity.
Way to go, Mike.
OSIRIS-REx will arrive for its rendezvous with Bennu later next year.
Last thing for today, The Planetary Society's CEO, Bill Nye, just gave a highlight presentation
at the IAC.
The International Astronautical Congress.
It is the biggest space industry event of the year.
In his presentation, Bill discussed our legacy in solar sailing and he unveiled a brand new
animation of the LightSail 2 spacecraft unfurling its solar sails in space that is just so cool.
If you didn't happen to make it to the International Astronautical Congress, you can see it on
our website.
And here's a sneak peak.
Wow.
That new animation is impressive.
But the real thing will be even better.
So, if you want a chance to go to Florida with Bill Nye and watch the launch of LightSail
2 on a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket, then you should go to omaze.com/bill right away.
In fact, I'm going to do it.
No, Bob.
You can't enter the contest.
What do you mean I can't?
You're not qualified.
What do you mean qualified?
What does that mean?
I'll see you next month.
What do you mean qualified?

Anger Management - Part 3 - Enjoying Everyday Life - Duration: 28:33.
ANNOUNCER: THE FOLLOWING PROGRAM IS PAID FOR BY
THE FRIENDS AND PARTNERS OF JOYCE MEYER MINISTRIES.
[MUSIC]
JOYCE: LET'S JUST TALK ABOUT FIVE ROOTS OF ANGER,
WHERE DOES IT COME FROM?
WERE YOU BORN ANGRY?
NO.
DOESN'T TAKE LONG, YOU KNOW?
BAH!
ANGRY PEOPLE, FIRST OF ALL, MAY COME FROM ANGRY FAMILIES.
IF YOU LIVE IN AN ANGRY HOUSE, WHICH I DID.
HOW MANY OF YOU GREW UP IN AN ANGRY HOUSEHOLD?
OKAY, WELL, MOST PEOPLE WHO GROW UP IN A ANGRY HOUSEHOLD, THEY
EITHER TRY TO GET STRONGER THAN THE ANGRY PEOPLE OR THEY COWER
DOWN UNDER IT AND JUST LET THEM CONTROL THEM.
IN AN ANGRY HOUSEHOLD, EVERYBODY DEALS WITH EVERYTHING WITH
ANGER.
IF YOU WANT SOMETHING, YOU'RE NOT GETTING IT, GET ANGRY.
IF YOU'RE POTTY TRAINING THE LITTLE BOY AND HE DOESN'T
GO WHERE HE'S SUPPOSED TO, GET ANGRY.
IF THE TELEVISION STOPS WORKING, GET ANGRY.
EVERYTHING IS ANGER, ANGER, ANGER.
AND THAT'S THE WAY MY DAD LIVED HIS LIFE, ANGRY, ANGRY, ANGRY,
ANGRY.
AND THEN MY MOTHER WAS THE OTHER EXTREME OF NEVER DEALING WITH
ANYTHING.
SO, I HAD IT FROM BOTH ANGLES.
AND I LEFT HOME WHEN I WAS 18 AND THIS IS IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO
HEAR, THINKING THAT I WAS NOW FREE.
"BOY, I AM GETTING OUT OF HERE WHEN I'M 18 AND I WILL BE FREE.
IT WILL BE OVER."
WELL, SEE, I SPENT ANOTHER, I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY YEARS
HAVING ALL KINDS OF PERSONALITY PROBLEMS AND MANIFESTING ALL
KINDS OF WRONG, JUNKIE BEHAVIOR, SOME OF IT THE SAME KIND OF
BEHAVIOR THAT MY FATHER HAD MANIFESTED AND NOT HAVING--I
THOUGHT IT WAS EVERYBODY ELSE.
"WELL, I WOULDN'T BE ANGRY IF YOU WOULD DO WHAT I WANTED
YOU TO.
I WOULDN'T BE ANGRY IF YOU PAID MORE ATTENTION TO ME.
I WOULDN'T BE ANGRY IF YOU PAID ME MORE ON MY JOB."
NOW, COME ON, IF THAT'S WHERE YOU'RE AT TODAY, YOU'RE BLAMING
YOUR ANGER ON SOMEBODY ELSE, THAT KIND OF ANGER IS JUST
A SNEAKY WAY TO NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR
BEHAVIOR.
[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]
JOYCE: SEE, GOD OFFERS US A LIFE FILLED WITH THE POWER OF
THE HOLY SPIRIT WHERE NO MATTER WHAT SOMEBODY DOES, YOU CAN
TRUST HIM TO DEAL WITH IT AND YOU CAN STAY HAPPY WHILE
HE'S DOING IT.
IS THAT NOT A GREAT DEAL?
[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]
JOYCE: WOW.
AND I TELL YA WHAT, IT WAS YEARS AND YEARS BEFORE I REALIZED THAT
ALTHOUGH I LEFT THE PROBLEM, I TOOK THE PROBLEM WITH ME
ETCHED IN MY SOUL.
IT WAS IN ALL MY THINKING.
IT WAS IN MY WILL.
IT WAS IN MY EMOTIONS.
IT WAS IN HOW I DEALT WITH RELATIONSHIPS.
IT WAS IN THE WAY I TALKED.
AND SO, UNTIL WE LET JESUS DEAL WITH WHAT'S GOING ON INSIDE OF
US, WE NEVER REALLY HAVE THE FREEDOM THAT HE WANTS US
TO HAVE.
BUT YOU KNOW WHAT?
HE IS THE HEALER OF WHAT?
THE BROKENHEARTED.
[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]
JOYCE: ACTUALLY, I WANT US TO GO LOOK
AT THOSE SCRIPTURES BECAUSE ABUSE OF ANY KIND CAN CAUSE
DEEP-ROOTED, REPRESSED ANGER, JUST ANGRY ABOUT THE WAY
YOU'VE BEEN TREATED IN LIFE.
YOU'RE ANGRY ABOUT THE LOVE YOU DIDN'T GET, ANGRY ABOUT THE
THINGS THAT PEOPLE SAID, ANGRY ABOUT THE THINGS THAT PEOPLE
DIDN'T SAY.
YOU MAY EVEN BE IN A SITUATION IN YOUR MARRIAGE WHERE YOU'RE
ANGRY THAT YOU FEEL LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE IN THE FAMILY
TAKES ADVANTAGE OF YOU AND ALL THEY EVER DO IS WANT YOU TO DO
SOMETHING FOR THEM BUT THEY NEVER THINK ABOUT DOING
SOMETHING FOR YOU.
AND I'M GETTING A LITTLE ACTION OUT THERE NOW, AREN'T I?
OH YEAH, AMEN, SISTER.
WELL, THAT'S NEXT ON MY LIST BUT LET ME FINISH THIS ONE.
DON'T SPEND ANOTHER DAY OF YOUR LIFE GIVING UP YOUR JOY BECAUSE
SOMEBODY ELSE DOESN'T DO WHAT THEY SHOULD BE DOING.
[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]
JOYCE: "THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD GOD IS UPON ME,
BECAUSE THE LORD HAS ANOINTED AND QUALIFIED ME TO
PREACH THE GOSPEL OF GOOD TIDINGS TO THE MEEK, THE POOR,
AND THE AFFLICTED."
JESUS WAS SENT FOR PEOPLE THAT ARE HURTING.
"HE HAS SENT ME TO BIND UP AND HEAL THE BROKENHEARTED,"
ISN'T THAT WONDERFUL?
"TO PROCLAIM LIBERTY TO THE CAPTIVES AND THE OPENING OF THE
PRISON AND OF THE EYES TO THOSE WHO ARE BOUND."
SO, YOU KNOW WHAT I'M DOING TODAY?
I'M TELLING YOU THE PRISON DOORS ARE ALREADY OPEN AND HOPEFULLY
THE WORD THAT I'M SPEAKING IS OPENING YOUR EYES TO THE FACT
THAT THE DOORS ARE OPEN.
IF YOU WANT TO KNOW THE TRUTH, I THINK THAT A MESSAGE LIKE THIS
OR ANY VERSION OF IT IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE TOP TEN MESSAGES THAT
WE NEED TO HEAR ON SOME KIND OF A SEMI-REGULAR BASIS
BECAUSE IT IS SO EASY.
NOW, LISTEN WHAT I'M GONNA SAY.
IT IS SO EASY TO FEEL JUSTIFIED IN OUR ANGER.
AND YET THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION FOR IT BECAUSE GOD
DOES NOT STAY ANGRY.
HE FORGIVES AND SO HE GIVES US THE ABILITY TO DO THE SAME THING
BUT IT'S A CHOICE THAT WE HAVE TO MAKE.
IT IS A CHOICE.
VERSE 2, "HE SENT ME TO PROCLAIM THE ACCEPTABLE YEAR OF THE LORD
[THE YEAR OF HIS FAVOR]
AND THE DAY," I LOVE THIS, "OF THE VENGEANCE OF OUR GOD."
SO, I'M HERE TO TELL YOU TODAY THAT GOD WILL VINDICATE YOU
AND HE'S HERE TO COMFORT ALL WHO MOURN.
THERE'S A SUPERNATURAL COMFORT TODAY FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT ARE
BROKENHEARTED.
WOW.
GOD CAN GET TO PLACES THAT NO PERSON CAN GET TO.
AMEN?
YOU'RE GONNA FEEL BETTER JUST BECAUSE YOU WERE HERE TODAY.
YOU ARE GONNA FEEL BETTER JUST BECAUSE YOU WERE HERE.
YOU WILL.
YOU'RE GONNA HAVE A BETTER WEEK BECAUSE YOU TOOK TIME TO COME
HERE THIS WEEKEND.
I DON'T CARE EVEN IF YOU THINK, "WELL, YOU KNOW, I'M NOT
AN ANGRY PERSON."
YOU KNOW, MY HUSBAND'S NOT AN ANGRY PERSON, BUT THAT DOESN'T
MEAN HE DOESN'T NEED TO HEAR THIS.
JUST BECAUSE YOU'RE NOT A VIOLENT, ANGRY PERSON, I MEAN IF
YOU DON'T NEED ANYTHING I SAY, JUST ENJOY THE ATMOSPHERE.
[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]
JOYCE: JUST SOAK UP THE ANOINTING.
IF YOU DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM NOW, YOU'RE GETTING INSURANCE
FOR THE FUTURE.
[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]
JOYCE: HE GIVES US AN EXCHANGE.
"HE COMES TO GRANT [CONSOLATION AND JOY] TO THOSE WHO MOURN IN
ZION," NOW WATCH THIS, "TO GIVE THEM BEAUTY INSTEAD OF ASHES."
I LOVE IT.
ONE OF MY FIRST BOOKS THAT I WROTE WAS ENTITLED,
"BEAUTY FOR ASHES."
[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]
JOYCE: BUT YOU KNOW WHAT?
YOU CAN'T HAVE THE BEAUTY AND KEEP THE ASHES, THAT'S ONE
OF THE BIGGEST MISTAKES THAT WE MAKE.
"WELL, I'M GONNA HANG ON TO THESE ASHES IN CASE I WANT TO
HAVE A PITY DAY."
[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]
JOYCE: "I'M GONNA HANG ON TO THESE ASHES IN CASE I FEEL LIKE
SPENDING TODAY ANGRY.
BUT LORD, I'D LIKE TO HAVE THE BEAUTY TOO."
NO, IT'S A DIVINE EXCHANGE.
YOU GIVE HIM ALL THE JUNK THAT YOU'VE GOT AND HE GIVES YOU ALL
THE GLORY THAT HE'S GOT.
[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]
JOYCE: YOU RELEASE IT AND YA LET IT GO.
"BEAUTY FOR ASHES, THE OIL OF JOY INSTEAD OF MOURNING,
THE GARMENT OF PRAISE INSTEAD OF A HEAVY, BURDENED, AND FAILING
SPIRIT."
WHO WOULD NOT WANT TO COME TO THE CROSS AND MEET JESUS AND GET
IN ON THIS KIND OF DIVINE EXCHANGE?
AMEN?
"THAT THEY MAY BE CALLED TREES OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, THE PLANTING
OF THE LORD, THAT HE MAY BE GLORIFIED."
LOOK AT VERSE 7, "INSTEAD OF YOUR [FORMER] SHAME YOU SHALL
HAVE A TWOFOLD RECOMPENSE," OR TO PUT IT PLAINLY,
A DOUBLE REWARD.
I TELL YA WHAT, I HAD A REALLY BAD CHILDHOOD, BUT I AM JUST
HAVING A GREAT TIME NOW.
[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]
JOYCE: I MEAN, I COULD HAVE BEEN BITTER AND WASTED MY WHOLE
LIFE AND PROBABLY BEEN MARRIED SEVEN OR EIGHT TIMES BECAUSE
NOBODY COULD HAVE PUT UP WITH ME MORE THAN A FEW WEEKS.
AND DAVE HAS BEEN MARRIED TO 20 DIFFERENT WOMEN IN
THE 48 YEARS WE'VE BEEN MARRIED.
[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]
JOYCE: BECAUSE I JUST KEEP CHANGING, AND KEEP CHANGING,
AND KEEP CHANGING, AND KEEP CHANGING.
[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]
JOYCE: I MEAN, HE GETS A SURPRISE ABOUT EVERY
2 OR 3 MONTHS.
IT'S FUNNY NOW BECAUSE DAVE HUGS ME.
I MEAN, HE'S VERY AFFECTIONATE.
AND HE HUGS ME EVERY MORNING AND HE'LL SAY, "OH, HOW'S MY
SWEETIE PIE THIS MORNING?" AND I THINK, I WOULD HAVE NEVER
THOUGHT 40 YEARS AGO THAT ANYBODY WOULD HAVE EVER
SINCERELY THOUGHT I WAS SWEET.
[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]
JOYCE: I MEAN, I JUST HAD A HARDNESS IN MY SOUL BECAUSE
OF WHAT WAS DONE TO ME.
I MEAN, IT'S TOUGH WHEN YOUR FATHER'S ABUSING YOU AND YOUR
MOTHER WON'T RESCUE YOU.
THAT'S LIKE, WHAT'S LEFT?
AND MANY OF YOU HAVE BEEN THROUGH EVEN MANY WORSE THINGS
THAN THAT, BUT EVEN IF IT WASN'T SOMETHING AS TERRIBLE AS THAT,
PEOPLE ARE NOT CREATED TO BE USED, AND ABUSED, AND HURT.
THEY'RE CREATED FOR LOVE, AND KINDNESS, AND HELP, AND MERCY,
AND GOODNESS.
AND YOU CAN SEE EXACTLY WHAT THE DEVIL WANTS.
HE WANTS TO HURT YOU SO YOU WILL SPEND YOUR LIFE HURTING
EVERYBODY ELSE THAT YOU COME AROUND SO THEN THEY WILL GET
ANGRY AND HURT EVERYBODY ELSE THAT THEY'RE AROUND, AND THAT'S
EXACTLY WHAT WE HAVE GOING ON IN THE WORLD TODAY.
COME ON, WE ARE LIVING IN A VIOLENT SOCIETY.
[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]
JOYCE: AND WE HAVE TO BE DETERMINED AS THE CHURCH THAT WE
ARE GONNA BE A BRIGHT, SHINING LIGHT AND NOT BE THAT WAY.
I'LL GIVE YOU A DOUBLE RECOMPENSE FOR YOUR FORMER
TROUBLE.
AND VERSE 8 SAYS, "FOR I THE LORD LOVE JUSTICE.
I THE LORD LOVE JUSTICE."
LOOK AT THE END OF VERSE 7.
IT SAYS, I WILL--LET'S JUST READ THE WHOLE THING.
"INSTEAD OF YOUR [FORMER] SHAME YOU'LL HAVE A TWOFOLD
RECOMPENSE; INSTEAD OF DISHONOR AND REPROACH [YOUR PEOPLE] SHALL
REJOICE IN THEIR PORTION.
THEREFORE IN THEIR LAND," NOT WHEN THEY DIE AND GO TO HEAVEN,
IN THEIR LAND THEY SHALL POSSESS DOUBLE [WHAT THEY FORFEITED]."
[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]
JOYCE: "AND EVERLASTING JOY SHALL BE THEIRS."
BUT WE'VE GOTTA REWIND FOR A MINUTE AND GO BACK TO GIVING
UP THE ASHES.
SEE, WE CAN'T JUST TAKE THE PROMISE PART.
ARE YOU WILLING TO GIVE UP YOUR ASHES TODAY AND EVERY DAY OF
YOUR LIFE?
THE THIRD ROOT OF ANGER CAN BE UNMET NEEDS.
YOU KNOW, WE ALL HAVE LEGITIMATE NEEDS AND WE HAVE A RIGHT
TO EXPECT THEM TO BE MET.
SOME OF THE NEEDS THAT WE HAVE IS REST, LAUGHTER,
ENCOURAGEMENT, APPRECIATION, THE FREEDOM TO BE YOURSELF.
LORD, HAVE MERCY, THAT'S SOMETHING DAVE GIVES ME
AND I LOVE IT.
I MEAN, I AM A LITTLE BIT FEISTY, BUT HE LIKES IT.
[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]
JOYCE: I MEAN, HE'LL SAY SOMETIMES IF I GET A LITTLE BIT,
YOU KNOW, MAYBE OUT ON THE EDGE HE'LL SAY, "OH, THERE'S THAT
OLD FIRE I MARRIED YOU FOR."
[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]
JOYCE: AND YOU KNOW WHY I THINK GOD GIVES HIM THE GRACE
TO DO THAT?
BECAUSE GOD KNOWS WHAT I WENT THROUGH, JUST LIKE HE KNOWS WHAT
YOU WENT THROUGH, AND GOD KNOWS THAT YOU'RE DOING YOUR BEST, AND
THAT YOU'RE GROWING AND YOU MAY NOT HAVE ARRIVED BUT YOU'RE ON
YOUR WAY.
AND I BELIEVE THAT GOD WILL COVER YOU AND GIVE YOU GRACE
WITH PEOPLE AS LONG AS YOU'RE PRESSING INTO HIM.
WHOO!
[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]
JOYCE: UNMET NEEDS.
YOU HAVE A RIGHT TO ENJOY THINGS AND YOU HAVE TO RIGHT TO MAKE
CHOICES AND NOT TO BE CONTROLLED.
NOW, HERE'S THE PROBLEM THOUGH, A LOT OF PEOPLE DON'T GET THEIR
NEEDS MET IN THEIR RELATIONSHIPS, WHETHER YOU GOT
INTO A RELATIONSHIP YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN IN TO
START WITH...
[FAKE COUGHING]
[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]
JOYCE: JUST SAYIN'.
DESPERATE PEOPLE DO DESPERATE THINGS.
I WAS DESPERATE WHEN I WAS 18.
I MARRIED THE FIRST GUY THAT SHOWED ME ANY ATTENTION AT ALL
BECAUSE I WAS AFRAID NOBODY WOULD EVER WANT ME AND I KNEW
WHEN I DID IT, IT WAS GONNA BE A NIGHTMARE AND SURE ENOUGH, IT
WAS ANOTHER 5-YEAR NIGHTMARE ON TOP OF THE 18-YEAR NIGHTMARE I'D
ALREADY HAD.
DESPERATE PEOPLE DO DESPERATE THINGS.
AND IF YOU'VE ALREADY DONE SOMETHING DESPERATE, THEN WE'RE
GONNA PRAY FOR GOD TO HELP YOU.
BUT IF YOU ARE ON THE VERGE OF DOING SOMETHING DESPERATE, WE'RE
GONNA PRAY FOR YOU TO HEAR WHAT THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS SAYING
TO YOU TODAY, "DON'T DO IT."
[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]
JOYCE: FEAR IS THE ROOT CAUSE OF A LOT OF ANGER.
NUMBER FOUR, FEAR.
LET'S GO TO 1 SAMUEL 17.
LET ME SHOW YOU JUST ONE MAN'S STORY, AND YOU'LL GET IT.
1 SAMUEL 17:28, ALL THE MEN OF THE ARMY OF ISRAEL WERE RUNNING,
FRIGHTENED BECAUSE OF GOLIATH.
NOBODY WOULD FACE HIM.
NOBODY WOULD CONFRONT HIM.
DAVID, THE LITTLE SHEPHERD BOY WHO NOBODY REALLY SEEMED TO
RESPECT THAT MUCH, SURE HAD A MIGHTY RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD.
AND SO HE THOUGHT MAYBE HE COULD DO SOMETHIN' ABOUT GOLIATH.
IT'S AMAZING, WHEN YOU HANG OUT WITH GOD, YOU GET QUITE BOLD AND
COURAGEOUS.
[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]
JOYCE: BUT HE HAD OLDER BROTHERS THAT WERE SOME OF THE
ONES THAT WEREN'T DOING ANYTHING ABOUT GOLIATH.
AND SO, IN VERSE 28, IT SAYS: "NOW ELIAB HIS ELDER BROTHER
HEARD WHAT HE SAID TO THE MEN; AND ELIAB'S ANGER WAS KINDLED
AGAINST DAVID AND HE SAID TO HIM,
'WHY DID YOU COME DOWN HERE?
WITH WHOM HAVE YOU LEFT THOSE FEW SHEEP IN THE WILDERNESS?'"
RIGHT AWAY, HE'S TRYING TO BELITTLE HIM AND MAKE HIM FEEL
LIKE HE'S UNIMPORTANT.
"I KNOW YOUR PRESUMPTION AND THE EVILNESS OF YOUR HEART;
FOR YOU HAVE ONLY COME DOWN HERE THAT YOU MIGHT SEE THE BATTLE."
AND VERSE 29: "AND DAVID SAID, 'WHAT HAVE I DONE NOW?'"
SO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT TELLS ME?
DAVID WAS USED TO THIS KIND OF TREATMENT.
COME ON, MAYBE YOU GREW UP IN A FAMILY WHERE YOU WERE NOT
THE FAVORITE SIBLING.
[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]
JOYCE: OR THE FAVORITE CHILD.
YOU DIDN'T GET THE BEST GRADES OR THERE WERE THINGS THAT OTHER
SIBLINGS GOT ATTENTION FOR THAT YOU COULDN'T DO AND YOU DIDN'T
GET THAT.
WELL, YOU CAN SPEND YOUR LIFE NOW HATING THEM BECAUSE THEY
DIDN'T TREAT YOU RIGHT, OR YOU CAN TURN YOUR ATTENTION TO GOD
AND KNOW THAT TRUE PROMOTION COMES FROM HIM.
AND IF YOU GIVE UP THE ASHES, HE CAN GIVE YOU DOUBLE BLESSING FOR
YOUR FORMER TROUBLE.
[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]
JOYCE: OOH, I LIKE THIS, MERCIFUL DAY.
1 SAMUEL 18:6: "AS THEY WERE COMING HOME,
WHEN DAVID RETURNED FROM KILLING THE PHILISTINES,"
WELL, NOW HE'S WORKIN' WITH SAUL.
HE'S IN SAUL'S ARMY AND THEY WERE RETURNING FROM A BATTLE.
"AND THE WOMEN CAME OUT OF THE ISRAELITE TOWNS, SINGING
AND DANCING, TO MEET KING SAUL WITH TIMBRELS, SONGS OF JOY,
AND INSTRUMENTS OF MUSIC.
AND THE WOMEN RESPONDED AS THEY LAUGHED AND FROLICKED, SAYING,
'SAUL HAS SLAIN HIS THOUSANDS, BUT DAVID HIS TEN THOUSANDS.'"
NOW, LET ME TELL YA.
YOU WOULD'VE HAD TO HAVE BEEN ONE REALLY SECURE KING FOR THAT
NOT TO BOTHER YOU.
AND ACTUALLY, GOD WANTS US TO HAVE THAT KIND OF SECURITY.
HE DOESN'T WANT US TO HAVE TO FEEL LIKE THAT WE'VE GOTTA
DISLIKE SOMEBODY ELSE BECAUSE THEY SEEM TO BE LIKED A LITTLE
BIT MORE THAN WE ARE, COME ON.
[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]
JOYCE: LOOK AT ME.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO LIVE IN COMPETITION WITH ANYBODY.
HAVE YOUR OWN LIFE.
HAVE YOUR OWN RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD.
LET GOD DO WHAT HE WANTS TO DO WITH YOU WITHOUT COMPARING
YOURSELF WITH ANYBODY ELSE.
[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]
JOYCE: VERSE 8: "AND SAUL WAS VERY," WHAT?
WHAT'S OUR WORD TODAY?
AUDIENCE: ANGRY.
JOYCE: "AND SAUL WAS VERY ANGRY, FOR THE SAYING DISPLEASED
HIM;" HE DIDN'T LIKE THE SONG.
"AND HE SAID, 'WELL, YOU'VE GIVEN TO DAVID TEN THOUSAND, AND
TO ME ONLY A THOUSAND.
WHAT MORE NOW CAN HE HAVE BUT THE KINGDOM?'
AND SAUL [JEALOUSLY] EYED DAVID FROM THAT DAY FORWARD.
AND THE NEXT DAY AN EVIL SPIRIT FROM GOD CAME MIGHTILY ON SAUL,
AND HE RAVED [MADLY]
IN THE HOUSE."
VERSE 11: "AND SAUL CAST THE JAVELIN, FOR HE THOUGHT, 'I WILL
PIN DAVID TO THE WALL.' AND DAVID EVADED HIM TWICE."
HERE'S THE THING.
IF YOU KEEP A GOOD HEART, I DON'T CARE WHO TRIES
TO COME AFTER YOU, THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO HURT YOU.
GOD WILL DELIVER YOU EVERY TIME.
[AUDIENCE CHEERING]
JOYCE: AND I'M NOT SAYIN' IT WON'T HURT.
I'M NOT SAYIN' IT WON'T BE CHALLENGING, BUT GOD IS OUR
DELIVERER.
HOWEVER, LET'S REWIND.
YOU GOTTA GIVE UP THE ASHES.
AND THE ASHES REPRESENT THE BITTERNESS.
I MEAN, YOU KNOW, DAVID COULD HAVE BEEN LIKE, "WELL," HE COULD
HAVE BEEN MAD AT GOD.
"WHAT?
WHAT?
YOU STICK ME IN THIS HOUSE WITH THIS CRAZY KING, AND HE'S GONNA
THROW SPEARS AT ME ALL DAY?" BUT YOU KNOW WHAT I NOTICED
WITH DAVID?
SAUL THREW SPEARS AT HIM FOR YEARS, BUT DAVID NEVER THREW
SPEARS BACK.
[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]
JOYCE: COME ON, COME ON, THERE'S MORE THERE THAN YOU'RE
GETTING, AMEN.
[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]
JOYCE: THE IMPORTANT THING IS NOT WHETHER YOUR SAUL IS
THROWING SPEARS AT YOU, BUT WHETHER OR NOT YOU'RE THROWING
SPEARS BACK.
[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]
JOYCE: AND, YOU KNOW, YOU KNOW THE STORY.
I MEAN, SAUL TRIED TO KILL DAVID FOR YEARS AND YEARS AND YEARS,
AND GOD JUST KEPT PROTECTING HIM, KEPT PROTECTING HIM, KEPT
PROTECTING HIM.
I MEAN, DAVID WOULD NOT TOUCH THE LORD'S ANOINTED.
HE WOULDN'T TALK ABOUT HIM BADLY.
HE WOULDN'T COME AGAINST HIM.
HE HAD OPPORTUNITY TO KILL HIM.
HE WOULDN'T DO IT.
HE PUT HIS SELF IN GOD'S HANDS, AND GOD EXALTED HIM TO
THE THRONE, AND HE BECAME ONE OF THE GREATEST KINGS.
[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]
JOYCE: DO YOU WANNA BE ANGRY?
AUDIENCE: NO.
JOYCE: OR GREAT?
AUDIENCE: GREAT.
JOYCE: THE LAST, THE FIFTH ROOT OF ANGER IS FEELING LIKE
YOU'RE BEING CONTROLLED.
BOY, DOES THAT MAKE PEOPLE MAD, WHOO.
I MEAN, MY DAD CONTROLLED EVERYTHING.
AND, YOU KNOW, OF COURSE, YOU CAN IMAGINE WHAT THAT WAS LIKE
FOR ME 'CAUSE I HAD A STRONG PERSONALITY ANYWAY.
AND PEOPLE THAT ARE STRONG IN PERSONALITY REALLY CAN'T STAND
TO BE CONTROLLED.
AND I MEAN, HE CONTROLLED EVERYTHING: WHAT YOU WATCHED ON
TV, WHAT YOU DIDN'T, WHAT TIME YOU WENT TO BED, WHAT TIME YOU
GOT UP.
I MEAN, EVERYTHING, HE CONTROLLED IT.
WELL, IF YOU HAVE SOMEBODY CONTROLLING YOU, IT IS WRONG.
IT IS WICKED. IT IS EVIL.
BUT IF YOU WON'T CONFRONT THEM, IT'S JUST AS WRONG.
TO BE HONEST WITH YA, THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT WILL TREAT YOU GOOD
EVEN IF YOU DON'T INSIST THAT THEY DO.
BUT THE BIGGEST MAJORITY OF PEOPLE, AND SADLY, EVEN
CHRISTIAN PEOPLE, THEY'LL PROBABLY GIVE YOU WHATEVER
YOU'LL PUT UP WITH.
[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]
JOYCE: IF YOU SAY, "YES," ALL THE TIME AND YOU NEVER SAY,
"NO," THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN, YOU SAY, "NO," IF THEY'RE USED TO
HEARING, "YES," ALL THE TIME, IT'S PROBABLY GONNA MAKE
'EM MAD.
SEE, GOD FINALLY TOLD ME I HAD TO GO CONFRONT MY DAD.
AND, MAN, I DIDN'T WANNA DO THAT.
I MEAN, I'D BEEN GONE FROM THE HOUSE FOR YEARS, AND THE SUBJECT
HAD NEVER BEEN TALKED ABOUT.
EVERYBODY HID FROM IT.
EVERYBODY IGNORED IT.
MAN, I DIDN'T WANNA DO IT 'CAUSE I STILL HAD FEAR OF HIM.
AND WHEN THE TIME CAME, GOD SAID, "IT'S TIME," I WENT, AND I
SHOOK SO HARD THROUGH THE WHOLE THING THAT IT WAS PATHETIC.
BUT I JUST TOLD HIM, I SAID, "WE HAVE TO TALK ABOUT THIS.
YOU WERE WRONG IN WHAT YOU DID TO ME.
IT WAS WRONG."
AND HE TRIED TO MAKE A BUNCH OF SILLY EXCUSES.
I SAID, "NO, YOU WERE WRONG.
YOU CONTROLLED ME WITH FEAR, AND IT WAS WRONG."
[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]
JOYCE: AND THERE WASN'T A WHOLE LOT MORE TO IT THAN THAT,
BUT THERE WAS A BREAKTHROUGH FOR ME AND A FREEDOM FOR ME
IN FINALLY CONFRONTING THE SITUATION.
NOW, I'M NOT TRYIN' TO TELL YOU WHAT YOU NEED TO DO.
BUT LET ME JUST TELL YA, DON'T LET PEOPLE MANIPULATE YOU
AND CONTROL YOU AND USE YOU AND ABUSE YOU.
YOU KNOW WHY?
YOU ARE VALUABLE.
YOU HAVE GOT WORTH AND VALUE.
GOD LOVES YOU.
HE'S CREATED YOU FOR A GOOD PURPOSE.
HE WANTS YOU TO HAVE A GOOD LIFE.
AND THE DEVIL WILL ALWAYS TRY TO PROVIDE SOMEBODY THAT'S GONNA
TRY TO TAKE THAT AWAY FROM YOU.
AND YOU HAVE A GOD-GIVEN RIGHT, THROUGH THE POWER OF
THE HOLY SPIRIT, AND THE LEADERSHIP OF
THE HOLY SPIRIT, AT THE RIGHT TIME, YOU NEED TO STAND UP FOR
YOURSELF AND CONFRONT AND SAY, "NO."
[AUDIENCE CHEERING]
JOYCE: AND THAT IS NOT NOT TRUSTING GOD.
THAT'S BEING LED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT, AMEN?
AUDIENCE: AMEN.
JOYCE: SO, DON'T SPEND YOUR LIFE ANGRY.
DON'T GO AROUND WITH A BUNCH OF HIDDEN, REPRESSED ANGER, TAKIN'
THINGS OUT ON EVERYBODY THAT YOU COME AROUND.
IT'S TIME TO LET GO OF YOUR BOX, AMEN?
JOYCE: WELL, ONE THING'S FOR SURE, ANGER STEALS OUR PEACE
AND OUR JOY.
SO WE CAN CHOOSE TO REMAIN ANGRY, OR WE CAN GIVE IT TO GOD
AND TRUST HIM TO TAKE CARE OF THE SITUATION.
ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT GOD IS YOUR VINDICATOR.
HE WILL TAKE ALL WRONG THINGS AND MAKE THEM RIGHT IF YOU PUT
YOUR TRUST IN HIM.
TODAY, WE'RE OFFERING MY BOOK THAT I'M SO PLEASED WITH CALLED
"UNSHAKEABLE TRUST."
I'LL TELL YA, IF WE CAN LEARN TO TRUST GOD AT ALL TIMES IN
EVERYTHING, LIFE BECOMES SO BEAUTIFUL.
AND I REALIZE THAT MANY TIMES, IT'S EASIER TO TALK ABOUT
TRUSTING GOD THAN IT IS TO DO IT.
THAT'S WHY WE NEED A BOOK LIKE THIS THAT'S HANDY.

THAN LETTING HIM USE YOU TO HELP SOMEBODY ELSE.
WE JUST ASK YOU TO GIVE THE BEST OFFERING YOU CAN, AND WE BELIEVE
THAT YOU WILL RECEIVE JOY IN RETURN.
NOW, JUST REMEMBER, YOU CAN ENJOY EVERY DAY OF YOUR LIFE
IF YOU TRUST GOD AND JUST KEEP BEIN' A BLESSING TO OTHER
PEOPLE.

FEMALE: HOW DO I TRUST GOD WHEN I'VE BEEN DISAPPOINTED
OVER AND OVER AND OVER?
FEMALE: HOW CAN I HAVE FAITH IN GOD WHEN I'M NOT SEEING

I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO.

Will Vs. The Future | Secret Screening - Duration: 9:47.
The tricky part about talking about half hour pilots is that it's incredibly hard to explain
why the episode is so good and has so much potential without spoiling everything that
makes it so amazing.
So that said, for the beginning of this video, I will try my best to remain spoiler free
as I try to convince you to stop what you're doing and watch Will Vs.
The Future - and I'll give you plenty of warning before I drive into spoiler territory.
That said, if at any moment you feel convinced - and you haven't already watched the pilot
- you can find a direct link in the description below where you can watch the pilot for free.
Yes, this show will eventually be a part of Amazon's Prime service, but you do not need
a Prime account to watch.
I went into this show sight unseen, and I personally think the best way to experience
it.
But if you need some reasons why you should watch, here's some reasons.
Will Vs.
The Future is a half hour pilot created for Amazon Prime co-created by Tim McKeon and
Kevin Seccia.
Tim is the co-creator of PBS Kids series, Odd Squad - but long time fans of my channel
will likely know him better from his work writing and producing some of the best series
in modern American animation.
Including The LIfe And Times of Juniper Lee, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Fish
Hooks, and Emmy winning and nominated work on Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends and
Adventure Time
What truly makes Tim McKeon stand out are his writing credits on the first season of
Gravity Falls.
Where, along with Alex Hirsch, he laid the breadcrumbs of massive parts of Gravity Falls
lore in episodes like Irrational Treasure, Dreamscaperers, and my personal favorite episode
of the entire series - Land Before Swine.
And I know what you're thinking: Does it work for pigs?
Yeah it works for pigs, stupid!
Feel your pig's heartbeat next to yours!
It works for PIGS!
Land Before Swine alone clearly proves that Tim not only knows how to work in tandem with
other creatives, but he also knows how to weave a story that effortlessly explores and
enriches characters while seamlessly expanding the world the show exists in balanced with
some of the tightest humor in modern televised storytelling.
The pilot episode of Will Vs.
The Future was also co-written and co-executively produced by Kevin Seccia, who in addition
to having a long working history with Tim on many of the same shows, he also wrote several
episodes of one of my favorite TV shows of all time, the criminally short lived Duck
Dodgers.
So hopefully by now, I've sold you on this show given the titanic creative talent helming
its first episode, but if not - before I jump into spoilers - know that the entire cast,
which is comprised mostly of kids around 12 years old - is amazing.
These double threats do their own stunts and their own comedy - two of the most dangerous
types of acting known to man - and they do both flawlessly.
Okay, hop in a time portal or stop this video if you care because spoilers begin… now.
Will Vs.
The Future is the story of middle schooler Will Jin who is confronted by the time traveling
Athena - a rebel from a seemingly dystopian future who comes bearing shocking news - when
Will grows up, he destroys the world.
She attempts to kill Will and alter the timeline, but nearly dies in the attempt.
Will saves her life, and convinces her that he can change his destiny - even if it means
alienating his best friends, and giving up on his passions like science.
Now here's where the show gets really interesting - it turns out that Principal Rhodes - who
seemed suspiciously too interested in Will's involvement in the Science Fair - has a good
reason to be.
You see, much like Athena he's a time traveler too.
Rhodes is a seemingly friendly robot that Will himself invented in the future, and he
explains that Athena can not be trusted.
What makes Will Vs.
The Future so exciting is that any bog-standard executive-noted boring "show for kids"
would never have left the answer to this driving force of the show ambiguous.
They would have forced the creative team to ham handedly telegraph that one side was good
and telling the truth and the other side was evil and lying.
And so much of that is a credit to not only the writing and direction, but to the fantastic
acting of Lexi Underwood and Back to the Future's Tom Wilson as Athena and Principal Rhodes
respectively.
Lexi is tasked with playing a post apocalyptic murder machine who's tasked with a grim
mission for the greater good of humanity that needs to balance being a legitimate and constantly
deadly threat to Will with being a fellow kid who's still willing to give Will a chance
to change the future without murdering him when he least expects it.
And Tom has quite possibly one of the best heel turns I've ever seen on screen in my
life.
This kind of story has been doled out time and time again.
Adults - especially authority figures like Principals - are usually depicted as exaggerated
cartoony villains, and the expert casting of Pop Culture's most infamous bully, makes
his reveal at the end of the episode all the more powerful.
There's a nuance and and heart to Tom's performance that blew me away.
He's tasked with flipping this whole episode and the show itself on its head, and he pulls
it off in such a way that is frankly jaw dropping.
It would be a discredit to simply chalk that up to misdirection or stunt casting, because
it's not.
If Tom didn't stick the landing, he would have come across as pandering instead of affectionate.
Goofy instead of sincere.
Will and the audience are left agape because we honestly don't know who to trust or really
what's going on anymore.
The episode credits Tom Wilson as a special guest, and I honestly hope they can boost
him to series regular in the same way Yara Martinez basically became the co-lead of The
Tick.
Given Tim and Kevin's scripts and Tom's performance, Principal Rhodes could be a new
career defining role for Tom that endears him to a new generation of fans.
Before I close, I also want to highlight the work of Teo Briones and Ashlyn Faith Williams
as Will and his best friend Hailey.
They have a great chemistry, and I'm looking forward to seeing how their friendship evolves
and the new and hilarious ways Hailey continues to be a bad influence on Will.
I also have to shout out Braxton Herda and Noah James as the bully Gary McGinty and the
just okay Glenn Furg.
Normally the characters of "intimidating bully" and "hapless patsy" are usually
thankless throwaway parts, but these two kids knock it out of the park and breath so much
life into these roles that I don't just want to see more of them.
I demand to see more of them.
I want to see Furg continue to navigate the world with his Zoidberg karma.
I want to see if McGinty could go toe to toe with Athena.
But mostly I want to see these two woven into the show in a way that allows us to cheer
when things finally turn around for Furg - or cheer for McGinty when he has his own heel
turn.
That desire to see more is 100% because of their stellar performances, and they should
be very proud.
I'm going to leave on one of the breadcrumbs seeded into this dense episode that truly
belies the raw potential of this show.
The episode opens with Athena bursting through a time portal and fighting a beast that I'll
call the Chrono Kraken.
The Chrono Kraken's robo tentacles attack Athena, who makes short work of them before
they pull back into the portal.
Flashing forward in the episode, after Will flees for his life and hides in his house,
we see, tucked away in the background, a model of the Chrono Kraken.
Was this made by Will, telegraphing his potential to create monsters?
Or was it made by his off screen Father who is never mentioned in the pilot?
There are a lot of unanswered questions, and the potential of this show's story to go
anywhere harkens back to the early days of Gravity Falls.
A show that equally wrapped its viewers in a world of shady secrets, hidden messages,
and leads who could trust no one.
And I know, just as I did with Gravity Falls, I will be back to analyze every episode they
make.
Again, if you haven't checked out Will Vs.
The Future, the link is in the description below.
And if you have checked it out already, watch it again.
Because you will start noticing a lot of secrets hidden in the show.
Either way, please also take the time to honestly review the series and take the short survey
after watching.
Those questions not only give Tim and Kevin the direct audience feedback to make a better
show, but also let Amazon know they should greenlight the series.
Thanks for watching.
Until next time, I'm Douglas MacKrell, and I'm asking you to share and like this video,
and subscribe to my channel.
Because you'll always have a ticket for my next Secret Screening!

DINA LAM - Richard Bona |Comment jouer|How to play|For Beginners|Niveau debutant - Duration: 7:24.
This is the first lesson on "Dina Lam - Richard Bona" for beginners
The song is actually complicated because the chords he uses are add9 chords, major 7ths for example
He really made it complicated to the best of his ability
What I will do here is to break it down to the level of those who can only play the classic chords Em, Am for example
It changes the nature of the song but it's important because it gives us a structure
So we will just follow the structure of the song
The song is in the key of F#m and you can put your capo right here
But we will learn it in the key of Em
For those who don't have a capo
The chord progression goes thus
Em
Am
C
B or B7
Okay that is the first part
Em, D and G
There is this chord which might a little bit complicated but it's possible to omit it
The thing this chord is a bridge and is vital in this melody
You can play it here
G and then Am
You'd be close to the original version if you add this chord
Left hand: Ring finger 4th fret e-string, Index finger 2nd fret g-string
Before playing the Am
Bm,
Am
B7 or B
Either of both depending on you
2nd Time!
Swap between Em and Cm
That's just like in the original and I will make another video for advanced learners
You can simply just swap here
This goes on a while and then
D and G
Then when doing this, play Em and D
**Laughs** I'm basically killing the lyrics
It's just those two parts
Then...
Em, D then fall back on...
And that's the end of it
Voila! That's for beginners. I'll post a video on how to learn the song exactly but you'll need to have a notion on arpegios and jazz style
And I will try to be as explicite as possible
HIT that Like-button if you enjoyed the video and SUBSCRIBE to the channel by clicking right here and see you next time on another song
Ciao!

How to strike a pose? Having fun at mediaday with VP Dota 2 team - Duration: 2:27.
Virtus.pro's vacation came to an end.
There's suddenly nothing left to post on Instagram,
so we self-proclaimed the media-day.
And today guys will pose for your wallpapers right in front of your eyes.
You look fresh and handsome, do you have any secrets?
How to look good before a photo-session?
Win in Dota.
I remember how we had a photo-session in 2015, and there was Andrey Chipenko.
He put on a horsehead mask, and we were like riders.
Remember that, Pasha?
Ilya, recently we saw a great video on the Internet about a supermodel demonstrating like a million poses for photos.
What poses are the most successful? Show and teach me, please.
First of all, you need to make the most indifferent and dominating face,
like you're eating a person looking at you, as if you don't even consider them human.
"How dare they look at me?! The hell is that?".
Next, you need to have an open pose and act like you're a ripped jock, even if you're actually not.
Or like we just recorded our first hip-hop album.
And what is the "huge-ego" pose?
"Huge-ego" pose?
It's kind of hard to show a huge ego like that, so...
"Huge-ego" pose... That's me as a whole.
This is a rare occasion when I'm not being photoed.
I can't accept that!

SNES Mini Unboxing, Review & GIVEAWAY! (In 2 Minutes) | Nostalgia Nerd - Duration: 3:03.
Welcome to an overview of the Super Nintendo Classic Mini in two minutes.
A video where I'll be pronouncing SNES, SNES to save time and possibly annoy people.
There are a few things I want to accomplish in this video, they're listed here.
My story begins at Smyths toys, this morning at 9am.
There's Smyths toys, and there's the SNES Mini.
Marvelous.
Every package warrants an unboxing, and this is no different.
I do think it's nice that Nintendo make us do BASIC arithmetic these days.
Inside we find some points, a manual, USB cable, HDMI lead, 2 lovely controllers and
the console.
Isn't there supposed to be a poster?
Oh well.
To connect the console, we connect the wires, thusly.
We then have a screen of 20+1 games, which when hacked will give us 20+an additional
number of games.
Stick that in your arithmatic Nintendo.
Games play as you'd expect, with 3 screen modes for added flavour.
As you can see, this console is smaller than the original Super Nintendo.
Probably a similar size to a rat's anus.
The NES classic had issues with wire length.
Well, I can safely say that at 4 chop sticks in length, a kinked SNES mini pad adds a little
more.
Although it's nowhere near the original length of 8 chop sticks.
The new pad itself is rather nice.
The rubber buttons are a bit firmer, but then, younger things generally are.
For reference both the USB and and HDMI cables are roughly 4 chopsticks in length, whilst
a typical 90s RF cable is 8 chopsticks in length.
Clearly things were just longer back then.
At this stage, I know there are 2 questions you need answers for.
The first, Can it run Crysis?
No, it can't.
The second, can you use it through a 90's CRT with an HDMI converter.
Well, yes, yes you can.
Which is probably what I'll do, rendering the whole experience pointless.
MARVELOUS.
Now, through a rather strange turn of events I seem to have managed to get hold of two
or three of these.
Not sure how many exactly yet, BUT, rather than joining the scalpers on ebay I thought
I would give my surplus ones away, so if you want to get hold of one of these, then tweet
me something at @nostalnerd on Twitter.
I dunno, maybe why you deserve, or want one of these, or something, in 1 tweet and then
I'll pick one at random.
If I have another one of these, I'll probably be giving it away to one of my Patrons through
Patreon.
So, meaaahhh.
Giving back to the Nintendo community!
Thanks for watching, see you next time!

Lovers in Bloom | 木槿花开了 | 무궁화 꽃이 피었습니다 - Ep.85 [SUB : ENG,CHN,IND / 2017.09.29] - Duration: 33:42.
(Episode 85)
You're here.
Please sit.
Although you're not legally my mother,
you did raise
Bora and me for nearly 20 years.
So I organized this as a token of appreciation
for the two of you to enjoy some quality time.
Dohyeon.
You don't have to thank me.
Have a great time then,
Ms. Heo
and Inspector Cha.
What kind of life have you led?
Did you reappear to make me see you like this?
Taejin.
So you're just living with Chairman Jin,
subjecting yourself to such humiliation?
How could you dare return to us then?
Did you think you could win us over with money?
You left us because of money,
and now you do this to us because of money?
Taejin.
Don't say my name with that mouth of yours.
I don't want to hear it.
It was unbearable you were with a loan shark,
but you're not even his wife?
I...
I did it to survive
because I couldn't die.
Why didn't you just
die instead of showing up
in this wretched state?
Go.
Please go!
Unless you want to see me go mad.
Dad won't be coming into work for a while,
so bring the important documents to our house.
Sure thing.
Bring me anything and everything
concerning Cha Taejin.
Got it.
What happened to Bora?
Shouldn't you at least tell me about her?
This isn't a good time.
Later. I'll tell you later.
Did you find her at least?
Yes.
So wait just a bit.
Okay.
As long as you found her.
Dohyeon, it's me.
There's nowhere to go around here.
I'm sorry.
You're sorry?
I don't know what to say to you.
I can't applaud you,
but the deed is done,
so I can't drag you home either
nor will you let me.
Dohyeon.
Where do you live?
Their apartment's tiny.
In Suhyeok's room.
Good grief.
Dad won't forgive you easily.
You know that
he'll explode if you provoke him right now, right?
So don't call for the time being
or think of visiting either.
How's Dad?
You hurt him, and now you're concerned?
Of course he's not well.
He was betrayed by his daughter.
What a face to make after causing the trouble.
I'm sure you expected this.
Yes, you're right.
I'm glad this is the extent of it.
I actually imagined far worse.
So are you happy?
Yes, I am.
They're very nice to me.
Of course.
They're good people.
Dohyeon, about Officer Moo...
Never mind. Go home.
Dohyeon.
Go before I change my mind.
Fine. Okay.
Drive safe.
Excuse me. Soju, please.
Where did you go?
Oh. Um... A walk.
Why didn't you ask me? It's dark out.
And your sweater's too thin.
What if you caught a cold?
Hey, it's not that cold outside.
Moo Gunghwa, don't play the mean sister-in-law.
Whoa.
Are you going somewhere?
Yes, I'm going for a walk.
See you.
Sure. It's not dangerous for me
nor will I ever catch a cold.
I'm sure you don't care anyway.
Should I come with you?
No thanks.
Geez.
You should wear this.
No, I'm fine. I'm fine.
Where did you go?
I went for a walk.
I should shower.
Wait.
Don't try to hide it.
It's very obvious.
Dohyeon came by.
What did he say?
To not worry about anything and be well.
Thankfully, Dad seems to be okay.
I was actually very worried
he'd collapse due to his hypertension.
I feel so relieved now.
Truth is, Dad fusses over his health.
He's a hypochondriac.
But he's very scared of going to the hospital.
He threw a fit the last time Mom
booked a physical for him.
Don't worry too much.
Your father will be fine.
And he'll come to understand us eventually too.
Okay.
Hello.
Ma'am, 1 fish cake
and 3 chicken feet to go, please.
Okay.
So Bora hadn't gone for a walk.
She'd come to see you.
Who...
Oh. Bora's new housemate?
So you're now her sister-in-law?
We became related by marriage
even before we became friends.
You seem very upset Bora married into our family.
Suhyeok's too good for you to get this upset.
And Bora's happy, so isn't that what matters?
Why don't you go so I can drink?
Go away.
I don't really want to see you today.
Mr. Jin Dohyeon.
Regardless of Bora,
I just don't want to see you.
Do you think I always want to see you?
It can be tough for me to see you sometimes.
It's especially tough today,
so please go.
What's gotten into you?
I went to Gangwon-do to find Bora
and saw you with Cha Taejin.
I really feel like crap.
It's a miracle I drove back to Seoul
in one piece instead of
crashing my car somewhere.
But you wouldn't bat an eye
even if I had, right?
You're not interested in me in the least.
Go.
Please get lost
instead of tormenting me.
Geez. Why is this so salty?
You know I have high blood pressure.
Did you do it on purpose or something?
Enough already.
What?
Am I your servant?
Your daughter hurt you, not me.
Why are you taking it out on me? Why?
Good grief, woman.
Why?
Are you having issues with your kids again?
My beloved dad,
I'm back.
Did you drink?
A bit.
Don't worry about work for the time being.
I'll handle everything.
I'll take care of all your problems,
so don't fret needlessly.
You startled me.
Why are you here alone in my room?
I told you not to mess with my kids, right?
Do you think I'll just take this?
If you don't, what will you do about it?
- Dohyeon. / - So tell me.
Why is he running amok,
- oblivious of his place? / - What?
Do you know what Cha Taejin is doing?
He's been digging dirt on Dad.
Do you think he collapsed just because of Bora?
He collapsed as he was already high-strung
because of that twerp Cha Taejin!
How dare he sniff around my dad?
Be grateful I let it go at this.
If this happens again,
you can expect far worse.
You're here.
Please sit.
Did you reappear to make me see you like this?
Taejin.
Don't say my name with that mouth of yours.
I don't want to hear it.
So what have you decided to do?
We'll get him professional help like Taejin said.
Professional help?
You'll take him to a psychiatrist?
Why go that far just because he's a bit blue?
People get treated
these days even for stress.
Even a disease of the mind is a disease,
so good thinking.
Grandma's so unhappy with me.
It's the truth.
Don't think about anything else.
You guys just focus on Haechan.
We will.
When did you get home?
He must've gotten home very late.
We rarely see you these days.
I'm heading out, Grandma.
Thank Officer Moo for us.
You'll miss me a lot.
You'll realize my true worth once I'm gone.
Someone who does everything even though
he doesn't seem to be doing anything.
That's yours truly.
Just look. They took me
as soon as I applied.
Yes, sir,
it must be nice to be so talented.
I'm very envious, sir.
Is that it?
Geez. How can you be like this?
Do I have to tell you to say
"Assistant Inspector Park. We're so sad.
Shouldn't we have a farewell party?"
Do I have to do that?
- We're back. / - We're back.
Officer Moo,
I thought you were better than this.
For what it's worth, we were once partners,
so how can you be so callous?
Pardon?
What do you mean, sir?
He's talking about a farewell party.
Oh. Of course we should have a sendoff.
Wow, you're the best, Officer Moo.
Should we do it tonight?
Should we set it in stone?
Inspector Cha, are you free tonight?
I'm sorry, but I'm busy.
Hey, what was that aloofness?
Hey, I'm not weird if my feelings
are hurt, right?
Why are you making such a fuss
over a short-term assignment?
I'm not, sir.
Inspector Cha won't return to the precinct, right?
That won't happen,
so focus on your work
instead of worrying unnecessarily.
What's with Inspector Cha these days?
Hi, Dad.
Okay. I'll see you in a bit.
What was the rush?
Assistant Inspector Park was very hurt.
He was?
We can do it later.
What would you like for lunch?
I'm craving warm soup as it's September.
I'm sorry, but I have plans.
Something's going on, right?
No.
Nothing's going on,
yet you have plans for lunch and dinner.
You'll have plans tomorrow too, right?
What do you mean by that?
Do you think I'm stupid?
Is it hard to tell your family?
It's not that.
I have to go.
Go ahead.
You're not here just to have lunch with me.
What is it?
Something's up, right?
I don't think it's Officer Moo.
What's the matter?
Did you also know
that my so-called mom is not married
but merely living with him?
How did you know?
Jin Dohyeon arranged a meeting, saying it was
to thank her for taking care of his father.
Taejin.
I think Chairman Jin
is connected to the drug case 3 years ago.
So I'm getting to the bottom of it.
It's dangerous if you get emotional
as it's hard enough levelheaded.
This isn't about my emotions.
I can't abandon an investigation
I already started due to my personal life.
That's true, but...
And I'm just
going to marry Moo Gunghwa.
Taejin.
I hope you can be understanding at least,
even if you can't give us your blessing.
I should go.
I thought Gunghwa would get married first.
Okay.
So they didn't even have a wedding?
They say they had a little ceremony.
I have lots of mixed feelings.
Wow. Ultimately though, a girl from a rich family
is here because she couldn't live without Suhyeok.
Suhyeok is impressive.
I thought he wasn't even dating,
but he hit the jackpot.
She's no jackpot.
Sure she is.
They may disapprove now,
but eventually her family's money...
Good grief.
Watch it.
Don't ever say that.
I still shudder when I think about how they
accused Suhyeok of eyeing their wealth.
But how can a rich girl live in that tiny shoebox
of a room?
Have you seen a shoebox that big?
Rich folks have bathrooms bigger than our homes.
All we can do is redo the wallpaper,
but that won't change anything.
Oh, right.
What about that kid Juyeong?
He stayed in that room.
He'll be staying in the office for now.
Oh, no. Oh Gyeonga would cry
if she found out.
I feel bad too.
It feels like I kicked out someone else's child.
Juyeong.
What are you doing here, Mom?
You got a new office.
Of course I had to come.
Where's your boss?
He went out.
It's not as nice as the old office,
but it's better than your boss' home.
Why'd you bother getting this?
It's heavy.
It's not heavy at all.
I'm going to get pork belly on the way back
and leave it at Officer Moo's,
so have it for dinner.
Um, Mom.
I'm going to be staying here.
Why all of a sudden?
Did you mess up?
My boss suddenly got married.
But why so abruptly?
It's a long story.
So what choice do I have?
Are you sleeping on this couch?
No.
Suhyeok went out to get me a bed,
so don't worry about a thing.
Mom, would you like coffee?
We have all different kinds.
What would you like?
No, no. Sit down and eat.
It'll get cold.
Eat slowly.
Hi, it's me.
I'd like to see you briefly about the kids.
I was actually hoping to see you.
Thank you so much for calling.
Where should we meet?
Whatever works for you.
I'm fine wherever.
Then see you at that same place.
Why aren't you getting ready to head home?
Uri said something odd a few days ago.
She told me not to marry.
She said a friend of hers lives with
her mom and stepdad.
She must've told Uri her stepdad hates her.
After hearing that,
she kept begging me not to marry.
Really?
That tiny thing's been down ever since.
How will I cheer her up?
Should I take her to a kids' cafe?
If you spoil her,
it could actually be bad for her.
Uri seems rather stubborn and opinionated
despite her young age,
so it's vital to instill good habits.
Right.
Did I hurt your feelings?
What you said isn't wrong though.
Seems like I spoke out of turn.
No.
I know this is how you are.
Good night, Mom.
You wait outside, Suhyeok.
I have to talk to Bora.
Why?
Go on. I won't bite.
I'm sorry.
It's hard, right?
No, Ms. Lee.
Ms. Lee?
I'm sorry, Mother.
It's hard, right?
No, I'm fine.
Sure it's hard.
You grew up rich, free of any hardship.
It's not easy living in a poor household.
You've probably lived without any money problems,
but here, we must pinch every penny we can.
I'll take that to heart.
Yes?
What about Suhyeok?
He's probably sleeping.
Has the passion cooled already?
Of course not.
It's hard living with the in-laws, right?
Ms. Lee Seonok can get rather testy.
She used to be so friendly with me.
She's your mother-in-law now.
Women try their best to avoid their mothers-in-law.
You're in her realm now.
I know.
Why are you sighing?
I discussed Uri
with Taejin today,
and his response wasn't great.
He only said the right things.
He was so objective.
Can't he unconditionally defend Uri
and be upset with me?
Don't expect too much.
You know how I grew up.
My mom isn't a bad person,
but alas, there's a limit.
Just accepting that a stepdad is a stepdad
will upset you less.
Higher the expectation, greater the letdown.
Uri.
Hello.
What brings you here?
Did you come alone?
Yes.
Yunhui's mom drove me.
Yunhui's mom?
Yes. She's my friend's mom.
I told her Mom was here
and asked her to bring me.
You did?
Where's Mom?
She stepped out for a bit.
She'll be back soon.
Hey.
Hi.
Hello.
Sit and wait here, Uri.
I'll be right back.
Okay.
Where did Mom go?
So you'll keep digging into Chairman Jin?
I must.
Hwang won't just sit back.
He told me to investigate properly.
How will you manage alone?
You must be swamped here as it is.
I'll have to find a way back to the precinct.
Have a safe move.
I promise to visit.
Geez. You promise?
Where did she go?
Uri. Uri.
Yes. Huh?
Uri's not here.
Did she really drop her off here?
Where can she be?
Yes, okay, Mom.
I'll call you. Okay.
Oh, hello.
Officer Moo.
But where did the kid go?
Inspector Cha,
what happened to Uri?
You see...
She must have disappeared while I was talking
with Detective Han.
What?
Uri. Uri!
Bong Uri!
Oh? It's Mr. Tall.
We won't know until the patient wakes up.
What happened to Dohyeon?
Mr. Santa didn't play with me.
There was this fiasco even though he was there?
You're mad at me.
I don't really want to talk to you right now.
Dohyeon has had feelings for Gunghwa?
You didn't know?
Do you know who ransacked your restaurant?
Who?
That chairman's son.
Oh, no.
I'll do it.
It's all done.
How much longer will you stay this way?
Please wake up.

What is Feed-a-Gene? A presentation by Jaap van Milgen - Duration: 5:13.
Hello, my name is Jaap van Milgen. I'm working at INRA in France, and I'm the coordinator
of the Feed-a-Gene project. Feed-a-Gene is a project funded by the European Commission
and it deals with adapting the feed, the animal and the feeding techniques to improve the
efficiency and the sustainability of monogastric livestock production systems
"Feed-a-Gene" has 3 words and the 2 main words are the main disciplines that we are working on
in the project. It's about feeding and nutrition and about the genetics, and the word "a" could
mean that we are trying to nourish the gene by nutrition,
and in a way we try to do that. But it's much
more than that. The 2 resources that we are using, the genes, the genetic resource and
the feed resource, how can we combine these?
It's the direct link, the different aspects that we have to address, including feeding
techniques but also the sustainability of livestock production systems. Feed-a-Gene involves
many partners, in total 23 partners are in the project. They come from different countries:
Denmark, the UK, The Netherlands, France, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, Hungary and China
And they all have different expertise and knowledge areas so the partitioning of different
tasks varies depending on the country.
The interaction among work packages is something very important
We have 6 different scientific work packages. There's one work package dealing
with new traits that are indicative for feed efficiency or robustness of the animal or
of livestock production systems. And these indicators of efficiency can be used
for instance in animal breeding programmes. That is one example of an interaction between
2 of the 6 scientific work packages in Feed-a-Gene. Another one is where we develop models of
nutrient use, how animal use nutrients, how animals vary in the use of nutrients And this
is also an aspect that we are using in precision livestock farming feed systems, which is another
work package of the Feed-a-Gene project
The EU, in a broad sense, wanted to make better use of natural resources
They asked for new techniques related to feeding, related
to genetics, related to potential innovation capacities, new technologies. And they also
wanted to have, which is very important, stakeholder implication, and end-user implication in the
project. So Feed-a-Gene involves many different partners, academic partners, it involves industry
partners, it involves also extension services.
We are working on monogastric animals, so
most of these production sectors are very industrialized. Part of the results of the
Feed-a-Gene project will be taken up by industries, stakeholders that have a direct impact on
monogastric livestock production systems. I really hope that, at the end of the project
and in the years after the project, in the 5 to 10 years after, we can see practices
or technological developments being used in the market. Feed-a-Gene is not a project in
which we will develop full-fledged solutions. In the European language they talk about TRL
levels, Technology Readiness Levels. We're going up to level 5, perhaps 6, and to put it to market
it has to go to level 9. So it's up to society at large to pick up the ideas that we initiate,
that we develop, and bring it to products that can be used in agriculture in general
The challenge in the project is that we are dealing with people from different disciplines
One challenge is to try to understand each other, that a geneticist understands what
people in nutrition are saying and that a person with expertise in economic science
understands the issues that geneticists or engineers come up with. And I think it's really
the understanding that is crucial and as long as people are open-minded I have no doubt
that it will succeed. Personally the most exciting aspect of the project is working with all
these people from different disciplines. It's not specifically any scientific aspect although
I have expertise in a certain domain. For me, personally, the most exciting thing is working
with people from different disciplines and trying to get them to work together and understand
each other.
