Waching daily Sep 14 2017

Do you have trouble staying motivated and taking the actions you know you have

to take in order to reach your goals?? I have. I've been there and it's not a good

situation it's tough you know what you have to do but you just don't follow

through you just don't have that spark to move you forward the good news is

this video is going to give you the only thing you need to know to take action so

stick around

there is so much talk these days about hustle staying motivated toughening up

and taking action and I'm no stranger to that if you've watched any of my videos

that is the underlying message of a lot of them even just two weeks ago I did a

video titled what separates the men from the boys and it spoke specifically about

taking action check it out highly recommend watching it I'll leave

a link to it in the description of this video and in that video I shared a few

things I want to cover today specifically I shared a story about

Jerry Seinfeld the famous comedian when he was starting out as a comedian in his

earliest days when it wasn't going that well for him he wasn't taking it very

seriously he wasn't really getting traction wasn't that committed to it

wasn't taking the action he knew he should be taking and he was eating at a

restaurant in New York City when he noticed across the street some

construction workers finishing their break and going back to work and he had

this moment where he said to himself those construction workers are not

wanting to go back to work but they're grabbing their stuff and going back

anyways and in that moment he said to himself I need to be able to have that

same type of drive and commitment with my comedy even when I don't feel like it

even when I'm tired I'd rather do other things I'm not feeling that motivated I

just pick myself up and sit down and focus on my comedy focus on crafting new

jokes or new material so sharing that story which was inspirational to me and

I was hoping for you if you saw it was inspirational for you as well I realize

it's not enough I realized when push comes to shove in those hard moments

it's not enough to just say to yourself I know I need to take action right now I

know I need to just grit my teeth and push through this you can't sustain

continuous effort off that alone sometimes that's required sometimes you

need to dig deep and just grind through I'm a big I'm a big proponent of that

you've seen my other videos but I want to rectify things here today because I

feel like I shortchanged you to a degree and I want to clear things once and for

all and you the true trigger of all action and

if you can harness this and put this to use to your advantage there's not going

to be many situations where you're going to let a lack of motivation or a lack of

feeling like it overtake your desire to take action and get what you want to get

I can tell you all day to toughen up and act when you don't feel like it but

without addressing the true trigger it can fall flat it can be ineffective so

I'm going to give you this technique in just a few moments I'm gonna give you

the only thing you need to know about taking action but first I'd like to give

you another quick hypothetical story to just solidify the point I'm trying to

make here just imagine for a moment someone maybe someone in your own life

that you know maybe you yourself have disregarded your health for your entire

life up until this point you haven't eaten healthy you have an

exercise you've smoked your perhaps overweight or someone you know and they

get to a point where cardiovascular disease is a very real thing

perhaps they get hit with a heart attack and a stroke and they go and visit the

doctor and the doctor says to them listen you got to make some changes in

your life or you're not gonna have much life left and that person makes a

radical change they start exercising they start taking their health seriously

I mean perhaps you've heard this story on some level in some degree I know

there's people in my life I've watched this happen to but what actually

happened there why was it that their entire life they put off health they put

off their well-being but they got to that point in their life where

everything flipped everything turned around in an instant and they were a new

person they took their health very seriously

they had a complete 180 what was it what happened one word PAIN now what do I

mean by that if you're familiar with neuro-linguistic

programming or Freudian psychoanalysis or something called the pain-pleasure

principle and what it states is that all of our behavior is dictated by the

desire for pleasure or the avoidance of pain think about this in your own life

every behavior you have every action you take if you drill it down on the most on

the deepest fundamental level it's the avoidance it's motivated by the

avoidance of pain or the acquisition or seeking of pleasure however that is not

all the avoidance of pain is a much stronger motivator than the desire for

pleasure so there's this whole movements with this secret law of attraction

visualization visualize your success and I'm not completely averse to that I'm

not completely against those things they have a place in our lives they play a

role however there's not enough talk about thinking negatively thinking of

worst case scenario if you're not taking action if you have trouble staying

motivated consistently in taking consistent actions that you know you

need to take visualizing what you want is not the answer positive thinking is

not the answer what you need to start doing is start focusing on the pain of

not taking action and magnifying that pain of not taking action imagining it

in detail going deep into that a deep visualization exercise not for what you

want not for what you're after but what you want to avoid so like the story of

the person who radically transforms our health within an instant they had a

realization that I don't want to die soon I want to live more life so now I'm

going to fix these things it's unfortunate that it took the person that

long to do that but that is what happened with in that instance

anyone who radically makes a radical transformation in their life there's

some trigger maybe it's a near-death experience

maybe they realize they almost died or they face death and their life

transforms they're a new person after that they have faced death and they

realize how precious life is and they want to make the most of it and it's

that pain that's driving them that avoidance of that pain the strongest

motivator is pain so how do you dive into this and make this work in your

life suppose you've set a goal you're not

taking action towards it you've been visualizing the goal you're like I want

this thing it's just not enough to motivate you start making start by

writing down a list of all the negatives of not achieving that thing if you do

not achieve that thing what's gonna happen that you want to avoid you're

gonna be a failure you're gonna be embarrassed you're not gonna be

successful you're gonna be broke you're not going to be healthy you're gonna be

a slob and like low energy overweight make a list of all the things and focus

on each one of those things going too deep detail of visualizing what that

looks like if I don't stay consistent with the gym I'm gonna be low-energy and

I'm gonna be overweight I'm not gonna feel good about myself I'm gonna have

low confidence low self-esteem and feel that fully embody that and keep that as

a constant reminder there's other ways you can magnify the pain and make it

stronger getting an accountability partner someone you are accountable

towards like I shared two weeks ago in the video as well this friend of mine

who's going to the gym it needed some help and needed some some motivation so

him and I became accountability partners he called that he called that one

morning and said I or he texted me that one morning and said I'm not gonna make

it today I said you better get down there man you better get your ass down

to that gym and that sunk in for him and he got up out of bed and got down to the

gym at 6:30 in the morning that pain of letting me down that pain of me thinking

of him as weak willed and soft was enough to trigger it if I wasn't

there if it was just him and himself oh no one's gonna know I can just let this

slide his accountability to to me was the pain point you can take this a step

further you can get monetary value involved with this you can make set

goals and have an accountability partner I've never done this myself I know

others that have where if you slip up or fail you owe that person money or you

have to donate that money a few hundred dollars a thousand dollars whatever

whatever makes it painful enough that fear of loss of that fear of having to

pay a thousand bucks because you failed on a goal or didn't meet your commitment

is a powerful motivator avoiding that pain is the motivation so play with this

use this principle to your advantage magnify the pain make it stronger add

these components accountability partners money get money involved with it it

create that pain as much as possible as much as you need for me coming to work

here I love coming into work I love coming into this office you don't feel

like it every day that's life but I don't want to let my team down I don't

want to let my people down here I want to set the example that's painful that

that is a painful enough for me to trigger that I mean when I was rock

bottom when I was 100k in debt $100,000 in debt depressed low self-esteem no

confidence that was the darkest time of my life and wallowing not and

experiencing that eventually as painful as it was became so painful that you

know I just resorted to desperate measures like desperation desperation is

often you know there's negative connotation associated with it but being

desperate being in a desperate situation in your life that can evoke tremendous

effort we all know what we have to do guys there's no mystery there it's about

whether we could follow through it's about whether we can execute there's

always a next step for you even if you're at the darkest place in your life

and feel like there's nowhere to turn

there's always a next action you can take to help you get out of that to help

you move towards the life that you want

and we often create too much pain for taking action oh that's not going to

work out oh what's the use oh I have to step out of my comfort zone

to do that create more pain for not taking action and taking action becomes

the default becomes the default you don't throw out visualization and

positive thinking and moving towards what you want to move towards but don't

make that the only thing visualize success create a clear picture of what

it looks like and then magnify the pain of not moving towards that that is the

formula and if you still don't believe me if you believe that you are the most

unmotivated most unreliable person that cannot follow through that cannot get

motivated I guarantee I could get you motivated real fast if I took your head

and I held it underwater what would happen you get motivated real quick and

why is that the pain of drowning the pain of death the uncomfort of that

thought that feeling you would get motivated real fast now imagine you have

that same type of intensity in your own life facing your own small-time BS about

not taking action. about not being motivated. make inaction hurt. magnify

the feeling of discomfort the idea of not taking action with the same

intensity of drowning with your life dependent on it and you've just given

yourself the cure for inaction and lack of motivation. stay strong guys

JUST IN: Bernie Sanders Caught In $450,000 Corruption Scandal | Top Stories Today - Duration: 3:55.

US Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT), the self-proclaimed Socialist, has no problem with other people

footing his bills.

According to the Dailywire, Sanders visited a number of states as part of his campaign

for the presidency.

Cities in those states reported that he's failed to pay $450,000 for security services

used to protect him.

Cities in Ohio, Arizona, California, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Washington have all reported

that Sanders has failed to compensate them for security services rendered to his campaign

in 2016.

Lachlan Markay, a staff writer for the Washington Free Beacon, posted a tweet of Sanders'

outstanding debts saying "Bernie Sanders' campaign still owes (a disputed) $450k to

cities where he campaigned.

Clinton and Trump, OTOH, have settled all 2016 debts."

Rob Pyers, a finance data guru for California Target Book, claims in a tweet showing Sanders

unpaid bill that he has $5 million to pay from campaign donations, but hasn't used

it for the debts.

"As Bernie returns to CA, $5M+ left in his campaign account Stiffs multiple CA cities

for $327k in security costs."

The return trip Pyers refers to is a legislative push by Sanders to establish free universal

health care through a single-payer health bill, according to Vox.

The bill would see all US citizens required to be enrolled in Medicare within four years.

The bill eliminates all medical costs from those enrolled and requires the government

to foot the bill.

In order to do this, the government will establish a tax hike, estimated to be in the trillions

of dollars.

The Medicare-for-All Act supposes that US citizens are entitled to free unlimited health

care, apart from cosmetic nonessentials like plastic surgery.

The belief is that Americans would be able to afford the tax hikes because they are no

longer paying for medical expenses.

Despite not having a concrete plan on the table to pay for it, Sanders believes tax

hikes and what money the government has should be able to pay for it, once again showing

the dismissive attitude Sanders seems to have for fiscal responsibility and financial solvency.

Surprisingly, a third of Democrats were happy to side with Sanders on the bill.

The intriguing thing about Sanders failing to pay his security debts is that he should,

theoretically, be more than capable of paying for them, according to an article in Time.

In 2016, Sanders was estimated to have earned more than $1 million, mostly from book royalties.

The biggest earner, Our Revolution, published a week after President Trump was elected,

became a bestseller earning him $795,000.

Apart from his book sales, Sanders earns $174,000 from his work as a senator.

Between the $1 million in personal income and the alleged $5 million left over from

his campaign coffers, Sanders should easily be able to pay off the $450,000 he owes for

the security services provided for him in the various cities he campaigned in.

Though it is possible that Sanders may be refusing to pay out of principle–he is after

all a strong anti-capitalist who's obsessed with income inequality and criticizes money's

role in politics–his political stance has also leaned towards an attitude of "somebody

else should pay," while being unsure of who or how.

Perhaps he's intentionally not paying these debts, believing, like his voters, that someone

with more money should pay for his expenses.

It'll be interesting to see if the city he visits in California will foot the bill

again for his security detail knowing he probably won't pay it.

4 reasons watching Supergirl - Duration: 4:36.

welcome back to my channel English subtitles may be provided because I

speak English only this time because I don't wanna add English subtitle and I

hope you understand it so last time we've finished Wynonna Earp and I

have promised that we are going to watch some scenes from Supergirl season 2

since there are still four weeks to go before

Supergirl season 3 return in between I'm going to do some Supergirl rewatch

and also talk about why I like Sanvers today is the first video I am going to

talk about why I like Supergirl that much first of all I know that a lot of

people said CW Supergirl may be a little bit queer bait show which I'm not not

agree well but there's limited homosexual Canon couples I think I would

just take the bait that's said. if I have to rank Supergirl I would just say

the story's okay it's just a normal hero show so the first thing I like is

that in season 2 they gave us Sanvers not just Sanvers but a very good come

out scene and I would talk about this part later in another video about the

whole backstory of Alex second one is about sister bonding same

as well Wynonna Earp I like this sister bonding a lot

sometimes they get jealous sometimes they argue at the end of the day they

trust each other they protect each other they worried about each other

Alex is actually a very tough woman which we are agree that I'm sure but

every time maybe she is not sure about something the first one she found is her

sister Kara they stand for each other that's how you do with your BFF right

you know that they are always there waiting for you

the third thing is that message a lots of hero movies that I like is about how

you accept the difference I think it's kind of related to our sexuality because

we sometimes feel like we the minorities ah just like aliens in National City

they're the minority they think that they are not belong to the city even

though you're the minority you still have your rights you still an important

one that's another important message that Supergirl brings us and the last

one it's just because I generally like superhero movie you cannot imagine how

much I love them obviously I watch all the Marvel movies I like Avengers I like

Iron Man I watch cap American I like Black Widow I mean who doesn't like

Scarlett she's so hot and I I just watched them a lot Wonder Woman Batman

Superman like agent Carter Jessica Jones arrows agent of shield

legend of tomorrow

why not because I like them

so that's it that's the four reasons why I like Supergirl and maybe you can tell me

about why you like Supergirl as well if you like my videos give me a thumbs up

and subscribe and I will see you soon bye

ACIV: Low Energy Days Suck. (Sep. 13, 2017) - Duration: 6:59.

Hey guys! I just got home a little while ago.

I was going to film an update but I had the hiccups

So every time I tried to talk I would just go

*Imitates hiccups very badly*

and it was so annoying.

What was I talking about?

So I got to leave school like two hours early today because I had an orthodontist appointment.

Which is kinda nice.

I had a nap in the car on the way to the orthodontist

because it's pretty far away.

So hopefully I will actually be able to clean some of my room today.

'cause I meant to do that on Monday and I had to take a nap and then I was gonna do it on Tuesday and I had to take another nap.

It's just crazy

I missed the bus today

'cause my sister was sleeping in my bed 'cause she just couldn't fall asleep.

So she was over in my bed so she could watch movies on my laptop

for some reason.

So she was taking up like half the bed

So I was trying to sleep in like half of a twin bed

which does not work out well.

So I wasn't getting very good quality sleep.

Finally kicked her out when I woke up at like 5:30 'cause she was still up watching movies

and I kicked her out and then I finally got some actual sleep

and then I ended up sleeping in because my body was like "Ah! Real sleep!".

So I slept through, ok something you need to know'

It takes a lot to get me to sleep through my alarms 'cause I have so many of them

These

Are all my alarms

I have a 6 A.M. one a 6:30 one

a 6:45 one a 6:55 one and a 7 one.

I have to get up at 7 A.M. but I set alarms going all the way from 6 A.M. to 7.

One of those should be waking me up.

If I ever sleep through my alarm, I must really need sleep.

I'm not irresponsible about them either like they do

go off like I'll wake up in the morning

and the alarm will still be up but the sound with have gone off because it's been going off for so long but it will still be waiting for me to decide whether to stop it or snooze it.

I don't know what to do about that whole situation.

Alright. BYYYYYE!

Hey guys. I'm just going to go on for a bit about how crappy I've been feeling lately.

I've just been extra low on energy lately.

I feel so crappy and today

my chemistry teacher was talking to me because

I missed a quiz, and then I missed the day before a quiz

'cause I was on vacation so I missed the first quiz so I had to retake it

and because I missed the few days before it I'ma have to retake that quiz and because I missed one of the days before I did another quiz,

he does like a lot of quizzes type things

he'll go like three days then a quiz then three days and a quiz

so it's like that.

You can redo the quizzes but you have to fill out this form and do three different things of studying

with proof. Like you have to do flash cards, and a PowerPoint, and study with a parent and you have to have them sign a paper that says that you studied.

So now I have to do this for two different things.

He was talking to me today about how I don't have the "right drive for the class" and how I need to "put more drive into it"

and I'm like *sigh* it's not about drive. Like

I have the willingness to do it, like my brain

I;m willing to go "ok let's just get this done"

but when I come home, I crash.

and I've been working on cleaning my room but all I got done today was I got all the laundry off my floor

and then I got one load in.

I couldn't even finish unloading the dryer.

I had to unload it half way and then put everything from the washer into the dryer and then

put stuff in the washer.

That was all I could do.

I've been feeling really crappy.

I'm hoping that this cold clears up, it seems to have gone most of the way

*me just blathering and it's not important*

I'm using my flashlight on my phone which is why the lighting is weird.

So I'm not sure how this lighting is going to look 'cause I can't really look at the screen from right here

That's just how this camera works so,

We'll have to see how that works out.

*More blathering I'm regretting not cutting out. I don't know why I didn't*

Alright, I'll go ahead and sign off now

It's 8:30. Peace out. Goodnight.

*kissy noise*

(Sorry for skipping some subtitles but I need to sleep. If you DM me on anything I could fix it if you want if I'm doing better later)

Thinking Mistake: Catastrophizing - Duration: 3:23.

Hi, again. Building on from last week's episode where I shared about the

all-or-nothing mind set that can sometimes hold us back. Today, I want to

talk about another one which is catastrophizing where we tend to over

exaggerate the effects of a situation that we find ourselves in. So, for example

during a festive season we might have someone say, oh there's no possible way

that I could I could turn down every single open house invitation that I

receive, I must attend all these open house invitations and I must eat all the

food otherwise my friends are going to be upset with me and they're not going

to be my friend anymore. So that is an example of an over

exaggeration or a catastrophization of that situation. Maybe another way

of looking at is to say, look, I'm gonna go to the ones where I can make time and

for the ones that I can't, let me reach out to them and wish them well during

the festive season and ask them for an opportunity to catch up next time around

and let's see whether or not they really would respond negatively to that or not.

Another situation in terms of exercise is someone saying you know what I simply

cannot exercise if I exercise I'm gonna faint my body just cannot take it and

this is more common than we might think versus someone who says you know what I

may get tired my body might feel uncomfortable I'm going to sweat and

breathe heavily but this is my body's way of adapting to a new regime of

physical stress, so I'm going to take it one step at a time and if I find myself in a

situation where I cannot full sentence I'm going to start taking

a break and hopefully over time my body will adjust and adapt to this new

workload, so not allowing that fear of exercise hold us back from carrying on.

Lastly, in the work context maybe there's a situation where we feel oh I failed and my

boss is never going to promote me again right and that puts us in a state of

fear and not be willing to try new things going forward as oppose to

saying well chances are the boss is not gonna be happy because the results

didn't turn out as well as we would hope for but let me share with him the

learnings that I've achieved or sorry the learnings that I've gotten from this

despite the the failure in terms of results and hopefully that what I've

learned I won't repeat the next time around and so there's a recognition of

the effort that's put in, the reflection of the learning, so that we can move on

more positively ahead. As a boss I'm pretty sure I'll take that much more positively

than someone was just saying I failed and I'm gonna give up.

So hopefully the catastrophizing mindset gives us some thoughts in terms of how

simple mind frames can hold us back and stop us from continuing to pursue and

overcome the typical obstacles that we will all face as we pursue our goals.
