Greetings earthlings!

Welcome to the MadQueen Show, I am your host the MadQueen

On today's menu, we have a new Cyberpunk 2077 lore video for you, and today we're

going to talk about Night City

After the economic collapse of 1997, the American landscape changed completely: most cities

survived the collapse, but most non-urban areas were obliterated

As a result, the whole land of the country turned into one of two: a few large, densely

packed urban areas, surrounded by a vast ecological wasteland or ghost towns and Agricorp farmlands

and abandoned suburbs

This created three types of urban environments: Old Cities, Corporate Cities, and New Cities

Night City was a New City, dreamed and designed by the late visionary architect

Richard Alix Night, and founded in 1994

Established at the head of Del Colorado Bay and facing the Pacific Ocean to the west,

Night City is a modern city of the XXI century

Its wide streets and ultra-modern towers are home to over a million people, with another

four and a half million living in the greater Night City area cities of Westbrook

North Oak, Heywood, Pacifica, South Night City and Rancho Coronado

It's even pretty modern by Euro standards: you can expect to find all the modern conveniences

of a European City in any major Urban area in the States: video stations, Aerodyne vehicles,

bio-sculpt parlors, cyberware… whatever you could expect to find in Paris you can

probably find it in Night City as well

Maybe what bothers Europeans most about American cities isn't the level of technology

but the amount of it

Huge video boards screaming from every building

Monster ad-blimps cluster overhead, booming messages down twenty-four hours a day

The streets are packed with pedicabs, taxicabs, metrocars, and cyberbikes, while the skies

are a maze of speeding aerodynes, helicopters, and aero-gyros

There's a screemsheet box on any corner, and a dataterm every block, both surrounded

by holograms screeching out the latest headlines

And the weather isn't that bad either

In most cities, the acid rainfall percentage has been steadily dropping

As more and more cars are converted to non-petroleum fuels like methane, the dense, poisonous fog banks

that used to surround American cities have become less common

You don't have to buy air on the streets every day, just during the heat of summer

when the inversion layers move in

Winters in the temperate zones are cold, bright and clear

All you have to do is worry about freezing to death as you sleep in your packing case hovel

An exciting and vibrant place to live, Night City is, even more, fun to visit

world famous for its slogan: "The City on the Edge of Tomorrow", the area hosts almost nine million

tourists, conventioneers and corporate travelers every year

A planned community with an advanced rapid transit system, its own net LDL, and a Corporate

Center boasting representatives from over a dozen of the world's most famous megacorps

Night City is a shining example of the Technology Triumphant over the Troubles of the past

Night City government is a Democratic Mayoralty, with the corporate-controlled city council

Popular votes are cast via DataTerm, using IdentiCard registration software

The City Council is made up of representatives chosen by the ten largest Megacorporations

with offices in the city

There are two public hospitals in Night City, and four other private hospitals as well as

many corporate-run clinics within the Corporate Plaza

As with most American cities of the XXI century, there are also a wide number of less formal

medical services, romantically called "ripperdocs" by the popular media

These mini clinics provide emergency medical services, cyberwear installation, and drugs

prescription at reasonable prices: more or less 600 eurobucks per visit

In addition, offices of Trauma Team and REO Meatwagon are well established in Night City

Night City differs from any other American Cities in that police services are not provided

by a contract corporation

Instead, the city maintains its own independent police force, with three precinct offices

within the urban core area, while deputized corporate forces patrol the Corporate City Center

Although it suffers from a chronic lack of staff, the NCPD maintains order within the

city through the ingenious use of monitor cameras and Controlled Urban Zones

Unlike the more obvious walled Zones of Detroit and Chicago, these Controlled Zones are kept

relatively crime free though electronic security, aerial patrols with AV and aerogyro vehicles,

and close contact with deputized security forces in the Corporate Zone

Unlike many other urban areas thought the United States, you may actually find any personal

protection beyond a light caliber handgun unnecessary: Night City is Safe

Or so says the corporate advertising

Night City was born as a Dream City

Because the entrepreneur Richard Night had a dream

A dream of creating the ideal city, a city of the future so grand that all other cities

built before or after would be compared to it

His design and vision were immense, and so were the plans that he drew up for Night International

The next step would be to secure the staggering capital that would be needed to finance Night's

gigantic project

Luckily, history and the forces of a collapsing society worked on the entrepreneur's side

With the collapse, many Megacorporations were starting to look at establishing their own

urban areas: controlled zones free of poverty, crime, and debt

City governments would be corporate run, allowing optimum zoning and no anti-business elements

to interfere with corporate growth

Night's plan was tailored made for these purposes, he provided the design and construction

capacities that the Megacorps didn't have, and the Megacorps provided the raw cash

By 1992, Arasaka, EBM, and Petrochem had all tossed their hats into Night's ring

Unfortunately for Richard Night, his story doesn't have a happy ending

During its construction of Coronado City, Night International employed a large number

of innovative building styles and techniques, and this resulted in the exclusion of many

Night's old partners that, being short of money, had unwisely joined with a local and

powerful Mob leader

During the first four years of construction, there were daily threats over Night's life,

but as a proud and self-reliant man, he typically ignored them

When the threads escalated to sabotage and intimidation, Night called in his corporate

allies, who dealt with the threats in a ruthless but limited way

Finally, Richar Night's luck ran out, and on September 20th, 1998, he was shot and killed

in his penthouse at the top of the newly built Parkview Tower

Night's killer was never found

In his memory, the city was renamed Night City

Then, the scramble for power began

The corporations controlled the civic government and the Corporate Center, the Mob controlled

almost all service-related businesses

The city police, forced to kowtow to both Mob and corporate interests became totally ineffective

During this time, the gangs backed by Mob and corporate sponsors established themselves

in the remaining suburbs of the old city: the one area that never had the chance to

be added to Night's plan, the area now known as the Combat Zone, with gangs so firmly rooted

that the only way to remove them now would be to demolish the entire area

With them inside

After 11 years of chaos and street warfare, corporations decided that enough is enough,

and they battled the underworld for the control of Night City, in what now is known as the

Mob War, destroying the Mob's power base in Night City

From then on, any time the mob crossed one of the Megacorps, they made sure to do it

by the rules of Big Business

In 2077 Night City has all but healed from the ravages of the past and evolved into an armed city

It's not uncommon to see as many guns as briefcases on the crowded city streets, and

while the days of chaos may be over, the danger still remains

Society's rule collapsed before and may do so again

History can repeat itself, and there is always another gang just around the corner, waiting

for its chance to come out on the top, no matter the cost

would you believe me if I told you that your human mind is telling you not to do

the right thing when it comes to your dog and that is why your dog is

misbehaving it's 2-minute Thursdays let's go

hello lover my name is Saro I'm a dog trainer and I coach dog owners and if

you want to become an educated dog lover make sure to subscribe to my channel and

hit the bell icon as well so you won't miss anything a new study has shown that

our human mind is acting up just like it used to do in the old ancient times the

study has proven that our mind will stop us from doing things that it stresses us

or scares us this comes from our ancient brain they

were always facing threats so that's why our brain is always telling us to stop

doing things that will scare us or it's gonna cause stress in us so this

reaction also causes us dog owners to stop doing the right thing that we

need to do for example as a dog owner most dog owners and I know this for a

fact they think that if they do something to their dogs or they say

something to their dog or they feel certain way with their dog the dog is

gonna react it's gonna be scared of them it's gonna be afraid of them it's gonna

be hating them it's gonna cause their dog's soul to be broken especially if

dog owners decide to do something different with the dogs it makes you to

stop doing the right thing so this is normal and it's natural so all we have

to do is the opposite so do exactly the opposite of what your brain is telling

you to do so if for example if you feel like you can't say no to your dog

because it's gonna cause this and that and that go ahead and say no to your dog

it's okay nothing bad is gonna happen if you feel like you need to start training

your dog and something is stopping you to do it either lack of time or lack of

energy or whatever it is start training your dog do the opposite of what you or

your brain is going to tell you if you have any questions make sure to leave

them in the comments area so I can address them in my future video

and as always if you liked this video give it a thumbs up share comment and

subscribe to my channel and until next time have fun with your dog

LGD Forever Young TI7 Journey - Duration: 14:50.

In 2010 there was a team called Xiao Fei Yang (Small Fat Sheep)

that made everyone pay attention to Chinese DOTA

In the Summer of 7 years later,

LGD Forever Young, the team that Chinese fans nicknamed Lao Fei Yang (Old Fat Sheep)

left a deeper impression in Seattle.

This is a team made up of both old and new

Some have a traditional playstyle

Some create new metas, some have multiple accolades,

and some are new

The road to Seattle wasn't smooth

We faced ViCi Gaming in the first Elimination match

and finally won after 3 hard-fought matches

After that LFY had outstanding individual performances to take down EHOME.K 2-0

punching their ticket to Seattle

Just when everyone was about to celebrate, two members of the team had their US Visas rejected

but finally after multiple applications, everyone got their Visas

And so began LFY's TI7 performance

31 July 2017, Seattle

After making it through the Chinese Qualifier

and going through multiple Visa rejections

LFY played in Groups as if there was nothing on Earth that could stop them

Our work here today is only half-done, ok

Wasn't our job just to be happy? We did that ages ago~

Oh really? Happy DOTA?

Happy DOTA~

Sounds right to me...?

No matter who the opponents were

the result was always 2:0

In the end, LFY made it out on top of Group B with 14 wins and only 2 losses

to make it into the Winners Bracket

Boss, you're so good

Ok, today we don't have to drink cappuccinos

LFY's stellar performance in Groups got the attention of everyone else

and the other teams started analyzing LFY's playstyle

But LFY weren't afraid of the extra attention

and the hard work the other teams put in was just a mark of respect to how strong LFY was

Fighting, let's get high!

In our first match, we played against SEA team TNC

LFY gave mid Super an uncommonly picked mid hero, Puck

Under LFY's relentless attacks, TNC lost quickly

winning two matches in a row

and sending TNC to the Lower Bracket

In the 2nd Round, LFY faced VP

and perhaps the then tournament favorites hadn't yet realised

just how strong their opponents would be

Play our own game

in competitions we must play our own game

even if something unexpected happens, don't panic

Communicate, make sure you communicate with your teammates

In the first game, VP whipped out the team-fighting comp that they're familiar with

wanting to turn LFY into the sidekick of the show

LFY were able to overcome their comp easily

making everyone wonder if VP had really taken LFY seriously

VP typed out GG after just 26 minutes

Since we're already here at TI, let's just play what we're strongest at

VP, who pulled out all the stops in Game 2, versus LGD who were then unstoppable

Game 2 of the series was destined to be one of the most explosive matches of TI7

VP started the game out for blood

killing 2 of the LFY team

8 minutes in, LFY took the initiative

Inflame dove behind the tower

baiting out the enemy's teleport

LFY were able to take down 3 members of VP

turning the game around

31 minutes in

Things looked hopeless for LFY

but LFY refused to give up

and kept looking for their opportunity to turn the game around

We were behind, when you just bought BKB

I told you before, if we aren't behind at that point it means that we're ahead

They can't save their teammates when we burst them

We just need to kill one of them before the teamfight

You guys were playing too frantically there

My thoughts at that time were

they were a bit fed at the time

So I was discussing with DDC

I told him to use his ult so we could see their health bars

and after that I made the decision to run after the Aegis steal

That match against VP, we were really behind

I was talking a lot during that match

That match I kept saying go slowly, go slowly, it's ok

I wanted to let my team get back into the right frame of mind

create an opportunity for a comeback

I kept telling my teammates not to give up

And eventually we did manage to turn the game around

In the Upper Bracket Final

LFY had to play fellow Chinese team, Newbee

That 2 Chinese teams were in the Winners Bracket made everyone happy but sad in halves

The Winners would immediately get in to the TI7 Grand Final

and the Losers would have to play Liquid

Both sides went to 3 games, but LFY weren't able to beat Newbee

and LFY were only able to follow Newbee into the Finals with their gaze

In the Lower Bracket Final

standing between LFY and the Grand Finals was Team Liquid, who had just knocked out 4 teams

We've already discussed everything that we had to

What I want right now is for you guys to help raise the Aegis

Play this match well, and play to win

In the first match, LFY had made their preparations

and decided to let Liquid have 2 of their favorite heroes

Liquid, who usually weren't able to get their hands on even one

greedily decided to draft them both.

So LFY got a huge lead in the early game

pressuring Liquid

But even with the large advantage, it was still hard for LFY to close

Then Inflame once again demonstrated his amazing gank sense on Puck

Finally after clearing the creeps, LFY could go on the offense

At 56 minutes, LFY was pressuring Liquid's base

but Liquid were able to fend them off handily

but LFY were already at full build

and were finally able to get the ace on Team Liquid

to win the first game

We need to take notice of

what they're weak at

In the 3rd game LFY had done as much draft preparation as they could

Only letting through Mind Control's Nature's Prophet

but then of course Mind Control got a kill at Level 1 and got the tower

making it difficult for Monet to farm

Monet got very little gold

By 25 minutes, Morphling had managed to be 3rd in gold

Liquid were pushing in two lanes

LFY managed to catch 3

but Liquid had already picked up bottom rax

47 minutes in, Nature's Prophet flew in to LFY's base

after losing all 3 lanes

with regret and hopelessness, LFY could do nothing but type GG

We were so close

It was so close

As long as we didn't win TI

we would have regrets

From the start to finish we had always thought that as long as we won Liquid

then we could win it all

TI was a big stage

and honestly, coming in 3rd...

I'm not satisfied

We had the advantage in the teamfight

but we couldn't control the lanes properly

so we eventually lost on the back of a few mistakes

I have a lot of regrets

We had the chance to go even further

How I feel about my performance this TI...

I can only give myself a 60/100... at most a pass

I don't think I lived up to my expectations

For me... I hope that I can come to TI again next year with this team

For me, actually, I like it when

a team doesn't argue, and they stick together, and get used to each others' styles

This summer, even though LFY couldn't make it to the end

but those glimmers of excitement

and the cheers from the fans

Those will live on in our memory

Be it the joy from winning, or the pain of losing

they're all worth experiencing

The next time, we will definitely win

Dissecting The Camera: Crash Course Film Production #4 - Duration: 9:06.

Hey, you! Yeah, I'm talking to you. But, I'm actually talking to a camera.

A camera is a collection of parts that can

help you tell a visual story. It takes in light through a lens and captures images,

creating that illusion of reality we keep talking about.

You could even use your cell phone camera to make a movie! But filmmakers usually have

equipment that gives them a lot more control. So, let's look through the eyes of a cinematographer,

and see how they combine camera technology and the language of film to get that perfect shot

[Intro Music Plays]

Let's start with the tool that focuses light into a camera: the lens.

Some cameras have a lens that's permanently attached, but others have a separate body

with a lens mount, where you can swap out different lenses for more creative control.

For instance, low-budget filmmakers can rent great lenses for cost-effective cameras to

improve their footage quality. Or they might use older lenses to make a period piece feel more authentic.

All lenses have either a fixed or variable

focal length, which is the distance from the center of the lens to where the image is in focus.

And focal length determines your field of view,

which is how much you can see in frame. It's usually measured in millimeters, and

a 50mm lens is generally thought to be closest to how our eyes frame the world.

A fixed focal length lens can be called a prime lens. It tends to have higher quality

glass because it's specialized for just one focal length.

On the other hand, a variable focal length lens is more versatile. It's also called

a zoom lens, because it can zoom in and out.

Now, you can also control how much light

gets into the camera body through a hole called the aperture.

It works like the iris and pupil in your eye, becoming wider or narrower to let more or

less light through the lens. Aperture is measured in f-stops. That lowercase "f" stands

for focal length, because it's the ratio of the focal length compared to the diameter of the aperture.

An f/1.2 lens, for example, can open wider

than an f/5.6. So when you "stop down" your aperture, you're making that diameter

of the opening smaller, letting less light in, and changing that ratio.

But, as you stop down, you'll notice that the number is actually getting larger.

And to control how long the film or sensor inside is exposed to light, you can adjust

the camera's shutter speed. You can think of a typical shutter as a door in the lens

that opens and closes really quickly.

If you have an aperture that can open wider,

like in a f/1.2 lens, you can let more light in, and have a faster shutter speed.

Usually your shutter speed is about double your frame rate. So if you're shooting 24 frames per

second, for instance, your shutter speed would be 1/50 seconds.

But there's one little problem with shutters that work like a door: they click. Which can get noisy.

So on some movie film cameras, you'll have a shutter angle instead of a shutter speed.

These shutters are rotary discs that spin, to control the amount of

light that enters an opening into the camera. A smaller shutter angle works like a faster

shutter speed: the image will be exposed more quickly, and it'll look crisper! With a

larger shutter angle or slower shutter speed, the image will be smoother and have more blur from any motion.

How light gets turned into an image depends

on what kind of camera you're using. In a film camera, the light hits the chemical-coated

film strip at an opening called the gate, which exposes it so it retains an image.

In a digital camera, the light heads to an electronic sensor, which translates the light

energy into a digital image. The camera that's filming me right now has what's called a

Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor, or CMOS, sensor.

Other digital cameras might have a Charged Coupled Device, or a CCD, which

uses more power, but produces better images than earlier CMOS sensors.

Both film and digital sensors also have a property called ISO. The higher the ISO number,

the more sensitive they are to light.

The name comes from the International Standards Organization,

which created the scale filmmakers use.

Generally, the lower your ISO, the cleaner and richer your images will look.

But, if you're in a room without a lot of light, your image will be pretty dark.

In this case, it's tempting to just bump your ISO way up to like

1600, to increase sensitivity to available light.

You've gotta be careful with that, though. Depending on the camera or film stock, raising

the ISO to compensate for low light just brightens everything in frame, and can result in grainy,

lower-quality footage. So, instead of raising your ISO, you might

wanna add more light to the scene and open the aperture to allow as much of it in as possible.

Now, imagine you've put everything we've

talked about to use. You've adjusted your lens, aperture, shutter speed, and ISO, and

captured some beautiful footage.

All that footage is stored on what's called the media.

In a film camera, the media is the film itself. As long as you don't lose or ruin it, you'll always have what you shot.

In a digital camera, the media is a data storage

device like tape, drives, or cards. And you'll have to decide on a codec.

"Codec" is a portmanteau of "coder" and "decoder." Because that's what it does.

It's a program that can compress what the camera has shot onto your storage device,

and then decompress that footage when you need to work with it in post-production.

Basically, it's like a little package of digital information. You might recognize a

codec like H.264. Or mp3!

Shooting in raw means the images don't get packaged or processed.

You get higher quality footage, but you need a bunch of storage because those image files get huge.

Now, understanding how a camera works is only part of a filmmaker's job.

Film sets have an entire team of talented artists working

to create the visual story of a movie.

The Director of Photography, or cinematographer, is the head of the camera department. They

create the shot list with the director, to plan how everything in the screenplay will be captured visually.

The camera operator is the person who actually

controls the camera and frames the shots.

Sometimes you need a static shot, so the camera

operator uses a tripod. The cool kids call this a camera "on sticks."

Or, sometimes you want a moving shot, so the operator uses a handheld camera, or attaches

one to a mechanical cart called a dolly. There's also a device called a steadicam, which makes

a shot smoother than handheld, but not as smooth as a dolly.

Now, the person who manages all this equipment and sets up the camera is the First Assistant

Camera, or 1st AC. They work under the main camera operator. Sometimes, you'll hear

this job referred to as Focus Puller because the 1st AC controls the camera lens to focus

on the actors as they move through the scene.

It might sound simple, but for decades focus pullers couldn't look through the camera lens while doing their job,

because the camera operator was looking through the lens.

Nowadays, the 1st AC will usually have a monitor,

but they also have to rely on detailed marks from rehearsal and a whole lot of skill.

The 2nd AC takes all the camera notes for each shot and operates the slate, or clapper,

to mark each scene.

...ooof... Soft Sticks.

They also haul equipment around, from cameras to media.

If you're shooting film, a 2nd AC is the film loader, who changes the camera magazines

with rolls of film inside. And if you're shooting digital, the 2nd AC is responsible

for getting any storage devices to the Digital Imaging Technician, or DIT, who manages all the media.

Now, you might understand the nuts and bolts

of a camera, but it's all for nothing if you're not using these tools to tell a story.

Making the audience feel something because of moving pictures – that's what makes movies magic!

From a voyeur shot through a window in a horror movie,

to the subtle push on the love interest in a melodrama, there's a language and an

artistry to framing, angles, and camera movements.

Take the rule of thirds, which is a general way to think about composing a frame.

The idea is to divide it up into vertical and horizontal thirds,

and then stick what you want people to focus on where those lines intersect.

What or who dominates a frame can affect how

an audience views a scene. And what's in or out of focus can steer our attention even more.

For instance, in the film Road to Perdition,

the cinematographer Conrad Hall combined these storytelling tools really beautifully.

In one scene, a character played by Daniel Craig is dominating the frame, but the other

two men walking away from him, played by Paul Newman and Tom Hanks, are the ones in focus.

So our attention is on Daniel Craig's character because he's front and center in the scene.

But because the other men are kept in focus, we can feel that he's thinking about them

– all through the visual storytelling.

Even if you can compose what looks like the perfect frame,

it's important to remember that cameras aren't static!

Camera movements have their own language too. This is a pan, moving left to right.

A push is when the camera is literally pushed closer to the action in a scene.

It's like we're leaning in, and builds intensity.

And a pull is the opposite! The camera physically moves back. This could reveal something that

we couldn't see before, or help us leave a scene and lessen our connection.

Pushes and pulls are often achieved by using a dolly to move the camera closer and farther

from the action. They have a different look to them than just changing the focal length

of a zoom lens.

If you want to get really fancy, you can use a tracking shot to move the camera with

your actors, like by moving a camera on a dolly parallel to the action.

Now, even how a camera is set up can affect the visual storytelling in a movie. A camera

on a tripod is "locked down" and can make a scene feel safe and stable, like when a

character who craves adventure is sitting at home in their regular life. But when they're

introduced to whatever's going to rock their world, and jump up, the camera might move too.

On the other end of the spectrum are handheld cameras. Think of those horror movies with

shaky cameras – they're harder to see and understand, but feel more chaotic and unstable.

The real job of the camera is to capture visuals

that let us enter the worlds of movies, and feel what the characters feel.

Knowing how a camera works can help strengthen your storytelling, but a lot of it comes down

to becoming fluent in the language of film. And that, like all of these jobs, comes with

a ton of practice.

Today, we talked about the guts of the camera

and how they come together to make a versatile piece of equipment. We learned about the positions

in the camera crew, and how the poetry of framing, angles, and camera movement are what

make it a powerful storytelling tool. And next time, we'll talk about the counterpart

to the camera's visuals: sound.

And shopping at the Disney Store!

That's just like a perfect afternoon right there. Plus all the jazz we saw at the Chicago Cultural Center.

And it's not the same jazz, all of them were like a different style, didn't you think?

Like I had no idea there were so many different styles.

And I don't get the whole scatting thing, but she was really good at it!

We're in the right place!

And we couldn't come to Millennium Park without coming to the "Bean".

And getting a picture of our reflection. Yeah, we're tourists!

This is the Jay Pritzger Pavilion, where they're going to have a couple of events tonight.

The first one is at 6:30.

The one at 6:30 is the George Freeman 90th Birthday Celebration,

And at 8:00 is the Dizzy Gillespie Centennial Celebration.

The music starts in about 17 minutes, and the place is starting to fill up.

There is lawn seating and actual chairs, and all the chair seating is free,

it just depends on where you want to sit.

A lot of people brought blankets and food, and had picnics out here.

Welcome to the opening night of the 39th Annual Chicago Jazz Festival.

We're celebrating the 90th Birthday of Mr. George Freeman, ok!

Ladies and Gentleman, Mr. George Freeman!

Let's get started!

This theater really looks cool at night.
