what we call the five to thrive that is your mind your body your soul your

relationships and your business so what is the match game I'm not talking about

a dating game I'm talking about a trick or a game that you should be playing on

a daily basis moment by moment to make sure that your words actions and

energies match up to what you want to create as your own story so what do I

mean so are you walking around talking about being broke oh man I wish I had a

little bit more money so I could get out nature and you have a boat to be on the

water you know things like that instead what does that match does that match up

to who you want to be no that's a negative talk that's negative self-talk

things you could talk about alright I'm constantly growing my wealth to support

the lifestyle that I want these are the types of thoughts and things that you

need to catch with yourself and saying on a day-to-day basis now this could

also be at work if you're at work sitting down there and go geez I can't

wait to get out of here you know these are negative thoughts that are actually

gonna hold you back and hold you down from becoming the author of your own

story this can also be in relationships this can be in all areas of your v to

thrive also with energy you know oftentimes I'm somebody that talks about

being tired you know I have all these excuses I work a lot I play a ton you

know I have a newborn all these things but I'm always talking about being tired

how I shouldn't say always but oftentimes I am and my wifeís is nice

enough to point that out to me to let me know that I'm being incongruent with my

match game so that's something I'm working on I have a couple clients and I

don't even a couple friends that talk about their spouses you know things that

they don't like oh Doug you know she's just not exactly what it turned out to

be that our relationship isn't the greatest things like that I have a great

friend who's always he or talking about what's going down although he lives an

epic life see they're not playing the match game and by not playing the match

game really you're just not happy it may put you in a state of mind of deficit it

puts you in a state of mind of non abundance not having enough right so by

creating more abundance and I use that term abundance loosely it's really about

creating the life that you want you know if thoughts are things and we

all know that they are now what are your thoughts matching with for you are they

matching up with the person you want to be are they matching up with your

destiny or what the author of your own story lifestyle that you want to live if

not make note of that and change it you can change it in a minute you can change

it in instance you can change your energy right perfect example that I use

often for myself but also often if with clients is you say you're tired right

you're exhausted you're down but if you found out you won the lottery what would

you do all you do you would erupt you jump up in town you would go crazy

because you have that energy inside of you you always do and it says tapping

into that on a regular basis that creates more muscle memory so when

you're walking around you always have energy that is your equilibrium that is

your natural state you can do the same thing with positivity with love with

your body with your mind with your soul with your relationships with your

business it helps you thrive you don't believe me people talk about hey Doug

you know this is great it's helped my relationship but fry business this

mental stuff give me some tactics give me some tips well this is one of the

best tactics you can use to grow your business why you want to do business

with people who were positive you would do business with people have a lot of

energy that's what makes salespeople great the great salespeople are

charismatic and the reason they're charismatic is because they're living

epic lives or at least it seems that way right so this will help you grow your

business you'll have more energy more creativity to bring to the marketplace

so business is all about creating value whoever creates the most value wins

right so that's what this is all about matching that up matching that up with

your energy matching it up with your life what you want to do how do you want

to live an epic life see for me right now I've been out for four days in the

wilderness with my wife for her birthday this matches up with my author of your

own story lifestyle this matches up with our lifestyle for her this is where we

want to be and I'm sitting here talking to you right now in the middle of the

wilderness how ik is that so what I want you to do is plot your journal write

down your five to thrive your mind your body your soul your relationships and

your business and where are you not matching up

now that's fine write that down but what I also want you to do is write down each

area two things that match up with what you want what are two things that you

could say on a regular basis that match up with the life that you want to create

the life that you're living but the life that you really want the author of your

own story lifestyle and then I want you to repeat those every day every morning

when you wake up repeat those two sentences in each of the five categories

and also read those out loud in front of the mirror is the ideal situation in the

evening right before you go to bed give that a try guarantee it'll upload with

your life that's it for me today remember go out and be the author of

your own story
