Waching daily Sep 19 2017

I started my day like I do most - behind the stick at the Velveteen Lounge Kitsch-en.

Then she walked in. My cousin Glendora. I hadn't seen her in a while. All those men

were really taking up her time, though she couldn't catch a break in that department.

She looked good, considering all she'd been through.

I need your help.

Glendora never needed anybody's help, so this was big.

My Franzia merlot is missing. I've looked everywhere and I'm about to lose my mind.

It was the last box they had and the traffic was a nightmare. I'm at the end of my rope.

I did what any good cousin would do in this situation. I made her a drink. It didn't

have Franzia merlot, but she sucked it down all the same. All I did was combine 2 oz of

gin, ¾ of an oz of Barrow's Intense Ginger Liqueur, ½ oz fresh lime juice and 2 stoppers

of Rose & Hibiscus Flower Extract from the Wild Hibiscus Flower Company in a cocktail

shaker, shake with ice and strain into a cocktail glass.

Thanks, hon. I needed that.

She looked like she hadn't eaten in a while and that cocktail was going right to her head.

I threw together a bite to keep her straight. It was soaked in bourbon, but then again,

Glendora is soaked in wine. To make those degenerate cheese balls, all you do is combine

8 oz of softened cream cheese with ⅓ of a cup crumbled goat cheese, 1 oz bourbon,

1 TBSP dried onion, ½ tsp garlic powder and ½ tsp salt. Refrigerate for about an hour,

roll into small balls, then roll the balls in black sesame seeds. Serve with crackers.

Your favorite lushes will love 'em.

I knew time was running out on finding that box of wine. Who knew where she'd been that

day? Anybody could be drinking that wine. No one was above suspicion and suddenly all

of the characters around here looked shady. I was just about to throw in the towel when

I saw that telltale box peeking out from a pile of chip bags and spray cheese. Glendora

was planning a little party of her own and none of us were invited. That's my cousin

for you. Though she did come through with a glass of her wine. I guess the guilt was

too much for her. Deep down she's a good gal. Just don't mess with her wine.

Thank you for visiting the Velveteen Lounge Kitsch-en. Do yourself a favor and subscribe

to our channel for all the drinks you can handle, along with live broadcasts where you

never know what will happen. See you on Thursday.

ଘରେ ବନାନ୍ତୁ ସହଜ ଉପାୟରେ ପାପ୍ଡି | How to make Papdi for chaat or snack | Odia - Duration: 6:23.

Namaskar. Welcome to www.mrunalinee.com

If you enjoy my recipes don't forget to like , share and subscribe

Let's see today's recipe

Today we will make Papdi

It can be served with any Indian chaat such as aloo chaat , papdi chaat , ghugni chat or with bhel puri

It can also be eaten as an evening snack

Let's see what are the ingredients required for this recipe

All purpose flour - 1 cup

Water for kneading

Ghee - 2 tbsp (you can use oil instead of this)

Carom seeds - 1/4 tsp or add cumin seeds

Salt to taste

Oil for frying

Add all these ingredients with all purpose flour first

Mix it thoroughly to make it crispy for 2 minutes

Then gradually add the required water in it and prepare a little hard dough like somosa dough

** Do not make the dough very soft **

Like this

Then cover it for 10-15 minutes

It's been 10 minutes

Knead it again for 2 minutes

Now the dough is ready for next process

Divide the dough like this or you can also make small balls for papdi

Then roll it to a roti or chapati shape

Make it very thin to get the papdi crispy

Like this

Cut it by using any round shape cutter or bottle cover or glass

Make the remaining papdi like this

Here all papdis are done

Then take a fork and make some holes by pressing it like I have shown

So that they do not puffed up while they are getting fried

Here all papdis are ready for frying

Then turn on the flame and heat the oil

Here oil is little hot now

** Heat the oil on low flame **

Now carefully place the papdi one by one in the oil

And fry them on very low flame only

** Do not fry more papdi at a time **

Do not flip them immediately until the opposite side turned to light brown

Here papdi have become little brown from both sides

Take out them into a plate now

** Turn off the flame while taking them out , so that the oil will not very hot for next batch **

Fry the remaining papdis in the same way

Crispy Papdi is ready to serve now

It can be eaten as an evening snack

Or you can serve it with any Indian chhat

It can be store in an airtight container for so many days

So try this recipe at home

And share with me your experience

Thank You.

How to Live Stream on Facebook from your Desktop - Duration: 12:15.

SunnyLenarduzzi: For the bright side of branding, business

and being your own boss.

Hey Boss, it's Sunny Lenarduzzi.

Welcome to The Sunny Show - for the bright side of branding, business and being your

own boss.

It has been a minute since I've done a tech tutorial, and there's one question that I've

been asked so much over the last couple months.

I feel like I'm being forced into doing this tutorial.

I'm kind of going back to my roots of doing this tech tutorial, so I'm excited to share

this one with you guys.

You guys know that I use live streaming all of the time especially when I'm launching

products or I'm launching courses.

I love to use live streaming, and I'm often asked when I do my live stream, "How do I

make them look so good?"

Well, there's a little secret and a few tools that I use to livestream from my desktop and

make them look perfectly branded for my business, and you can do the same thing in a matter

of a few steps so that's what I'm sharing today.

Let's dive in to the techie tutorial.

Okay, so step number one is to make your graphics.

We are going to do 1920 by 1080, and those are the dimensions that you want to be using

for your livestream graphics.

We're going to design in Canva, I use Canva for pretty much all of our design in the business,

I love it.

You've heard me talk about it before.

It's one of my favorite tools.

Okay, so what we want to do is say I'm doing a live stream on how to get more YouTube views.

This is a paid Canva account but you can also do this in a free account.

How to get more YouTube views.

Okay, so we're going to do that in our brand font which is this, and we're going to move

this over here.

I'm going to make this bigger move that up and then I'm actually going to put a background

on it, so let's do just a gold background.

Oops.

What I meant to do with that elements, you do that any of these shapes there, I'm just

going to use a square and we're going to make that square gold.

What I'm going to then do is move this over here, move this like that and we're going

to arrange that, so that's in the back and this is in the front.

I will then add another subtext that has my name on it, that way if people are sharing

the live stream which fleetly will be, people will know who's hosting it and it gives you

more brand recognition.

Let's make that a little bit smaller.

That's going to go right there, okay.

That is going to be just our graphic for when we go live.

Now, what I also want to do is I want to create a cover graphic, so what we want to do here

is have something that people can see while they're waiting before you go live.

The value of this is that you can go live without actually being on camera before you

start your training so that people can know where the link is, and can be there in the

waiting room almost before you start your live stream.

For this, I do the background in black usually.

What we're going to do is add text, and we're going to say, YouTube training starting soon.

One little added tip here that I really like to do to encourage engagement because the

more engagement you get on your live stream the more reach your live stream is going to

get on Facebook live.

What I like to do is put a question on here as well, so let's make this 88, it's really

big.

Then what I'm going to do is add a question, so we're going to say, what is your YouTube

channel name, so we will do this guy and will do that in let's say 42 and we'll do that

in gold, and we'll say comment below.

That way you get the conversation started before you even come on camera, and you'll

see exactly what I mean by this in just a second, so everything is centered.

It looks good.

When you go to download it you just hit download, and then you're going to drag the folder,

it will show up in your downloads up here, and you drag it onto your desktop or into

an area that you can easily pull from.

We're going to do is we're going to drag this guy on to the desktop, so it's easily accessible.

That is step one of designing your graphics in Canva.

Step two is opening up OBS.

Hello.

Okay, so there's a few things that you definitely want to have here, so I'm actually going to

delete this guys, we can start from scratch.

To add in elements to your live stream, you just go down here and press add, so we're

going to add something in just a second but if you guys are a little overwhelmed by what

OBS is, it's Open Broadcast Software this is what I use and a lot of people use to broadcast

live on Facebook from their computer.

What you want to do is first and foremost you put a link below that we follow every

time we go live, because it makes the process a lot easier it's a quick step by step of

how to do it.

We want to first and foremost before we go live on Facebook and remember that link is

below if you want to review it every time you go live, but before we actually go live

we need to make sure that the live stream is going to look good.

I'm going to walk you through this.

The first thing that we have here, the first element is actually me on camera we want that

to be visible to the audience when I'm live.

If I turn that off, you can't see me anymore, so that element is there.

The next thing is the screen so I can actually share my screen with the audience while I'm

doing a live stream.

The last thing I want to add in here is the images, so we're going to do intro graphic.

Okay, so we're going to upload this because this is the graphic that we created in Canva,

so it's going to be this guy, so add that in, and you'll see we're going to go.

All right.

This will be the very first thing people see when we go live.

If I take that off and that's what I do when I go live, I just quickly press the eye and

then people will see me and not see that intro graphic.

The next style we want to add in is the, we'll call it like the title graphic, which will

have my name and the title of the training on it.

What we're going to use here is this guy.

[inaudible 00:06:48] like this, move that over slightly and what we're going to do is

we're going to move this guy below the video capture device because we want to make sure

that people can actually see me.

Now, this is something you can kind of play with, you can kind of like how it like that.

I mean I can move my positioning.

You can play with the graphics, I've done graphics that don't have this exact set up

before and actually have a computer graphic on there and I put myself in the computer

screen.

So you can do really whatever you like, you can just have it set up like this so you have

the white bars in the top and bottom, or like I said I could just adjust my position and

have a full screen of me on camera.

You can set it up however you want to see what you're looking for and just kind of play

around with it.

Those are the graphics that you need, so when you start your live stream this is what people

will see.

Obviously, that red thing will be on, and then when you take that off, "Hi.

Here we are.

Let's start the live training," so that is step number two of setting up OBS to be branded,

so when you go live on Facebook it looks good and it looks like your brand colors.

Okay, step number three is actually going live.

We're going to go live on my Facebook page, I'm going to show you the set up to go live

on a Facebook page.

There's also a way to go live in a group using this method, and like I said this link is

below this video because it's a great resource so kudos to iag.me on creating great guide

for going live no matter if it's a Facebook page or a group, but what we're going to do

first and foremost is we're going to go live on a page.

This is how to do it, so what you're going to do is go to your page, this is my page

Facebook.com/SunnyLenarduzzi and I have gone into the publishing tools, then videos, and

I want to hit go live.

This is really, really important this link right here, the stream key, we're going to

need that in just a second.

What we're going to do is go next, and you can post your title of your video, so we'll

say, YouTube Training, put any links that you want to have in there, and then the video

title we'll just call it the same thing.

Training, oops, and then any tags so we'll say YouTube, Video Marketing, that's good,

and Social Media.

What we're going to do is we're going to make sure that we put this stream key now, so now

we connect the two.

We've gone on the Facebook page, we've set everything up.

Now, what we need to do is go to settings in OBS, go to stream, and then you're going

to copy, and well not copy, you're going to paste the stream key that you just copied

from Facebook right here.

We've done that and then we go start streaming this, this is not mean they are actually live

on Facebook yet.

This is before you actually go live so you can just see what it's going to look like.

We're going to start streaming, and then we go back here, and in just a second it'll pick

up and show us that it's actually working.

Now you can what that's going to look like so we don't want that to be the openings,

we want to do is change it to this, and you'll see it change just second.

There's about a, I don't know 10 second lag here, so just keep that in mind when you are

going live.

There you go.

That's what people are going to see, and then all you do is hit go live, and you are live

on your Facebook page.

My other tip for this is when you are going to go live using this method, I do recommend

having your phone or another computer set up so you can actually monitor comments while

you're going live and also be adjusting your graphics or showing your screen on one computer

and doing the comments on the other computer.

There you go, that's how you go live on Facebook using your computer and making it look branded.

Now that you know how to make your live streams look amazing, and there's actually a link

that I always refer to when I'm about to go live and it's a recap of everything that I

was told you guys, so you can grab that below this video.

The great article just with all of the steps you need to know if this wasn't clear enough

for you but it should be, and if you want to launch your own course and you're interested

#وجبات_15_ثانية | كيكة الجزر Carrot Cake# - Duration: 4:13.

Hi, it's Raghad

we're making Carrot Cake recipe today

exactly like café's

moist and in the same time crispy

and what makes it so special is its frosting

I really want you to try it, so yummy

now let's see the ingredients to begin

Firstly, combine the dry ingredients together:

2 cups flour

2 tsp ground cinnamon

2 tsp baking soda, which is different from baking powder

salt sprinkles

now we move to the rest of ingredients

whisk 3 eggs with a small amount of vanilla

and 1 ¼ cup of sugar

if you'll not make the frosting, then add an extra ¼ cup of sugar

to make it balanced

then add ½ cup of apple marmalade

and start whisking

then add 1/3 cup oil

¾ cup room temp. milk

stirring gently until they disappear

now we move to the main point

the ingredients that make it incredible:

2 cups grated peeled carrots

¾ cup coarsely chopped pecans

1 cup sweetened shredded coconut

5 or more pineapple rings- small pieces

¼ cup raisins

coconut and raisins are optional but preferable

they make it crunchy and more delicious

then add the flour until all the ingredients combined

prepare a large oven pan

set the butter paper, cut the extra if any

grease it

pour the batter and bake in a 180 degree

about 40 to 50 min

it differs from one to another according to your oven,

so check frequently

then you can cool it,

or cut them and serve immediately with ice-cream

or you can make this frosting

it's delicious and add to it a beautiful look and taste

firstly, 1 cup of icing sugar

you can make it at home

but I prefer buy it ,because it's more powder

but make sure you make it powder and then sieve

now add cream cheese 150 g

usually, it comes with 200 g, so take ¾ of it

add 30 g of butter

vanilla then blend until smooth and cream

you can make it light by using 2 tbsp of milk

until you reach the desired cream

the more you add milk, the lighter it becomes

after the cake becomes cool,

now decorate the cake

spread the cream as flowers shape

like what we did here or spread it by spoon

it's up to you

I add strawberries, and mini carrots I bought from the supermarket

It's so cute with the cake

or add nuts like pecan, coconut, or pineapple

now our cake is ready to serve with your coffee

I hope you like it

Hello everyone, Karboom here...

So welcome on this little annoucement video...

So... to sum up... What do I announce in this video, well to put it simply...

a little program of gaming videos

that will be released weekly if everything goes right...

and they will have as subject

A Telltale Game

The game I have in mind...

Well... I think I can name it...

It's the first season of The Walking Dead.

I'm amongst the few that didn't see any let's play or any other things of this game...

I saw season 3 played by Joueur du Grenier

But I never saw any let's play of that game

I saw a couple of pictures, maybe a scene at some point

But nothing more, which means that for me too, it will be a big discovery...

So, here we are. It was to announce this... If everything goes right, it will be released on every Tuesday...

I don't know if I will do other Telltale Let's Plays

First I'd have to get other Telltale games if I want to keep on doing it....

I'll see when the time comes and I'll keep you informed, don't worry...

So, here we are... That's about it

Thank you all to watch this video and thank you Skarr to shelter me so I can make this little annoucement...

Dealing With Mean People Who Hurt Your Feelings - Duration: 3:32.

- We all have those experiences

where someone embarrasses us.

Makes us feel bad, makes us feel not good enough.

Causes us to get angry.

That makes us so frustrated.

In this video, I'm gonna share with you some tools

so that you can prevent someone from ever

making you feel any of those ways ever again.

My name is Janelle Fraser, the expert to follow

to become genuinely happy, wildly successful

and a Naked Leader.

It is the lunch break on Day Three

of my certification program.

We are training new Naked Leaders to go out in the world.

Step Number One is that no one is capable

of making you feel any way.

And you actually decide how you feel.

And so we need to stop giving people the power.

We give other people the power

that they can just manipulate how we feel

about our lives and about ourselves at any given moment.

And to me, that is no way to live.

That feels powerless to me.

And what I know, and what I'm teaching my Naked Leaders

is that we have the power to feel

how we want to feel.

And that we are responsible for how we feel,

how we react to people.

So what people and life do to us

is they push our buttons.

But people are not able to push your buttons

if you don't have those buttons.

So I get sometimes people say some really mean things,

and that pushes a button inside of us.

But what what we teach here is that you can

actually get rid of those buttons

so that, those behaviors in the future,

people saying things to you,

doesn't affect you in the same way anymore.

Step Number Two, Carl Jung's theory of

Perception is Projection.

What we perceive outside of ourselves

is only a reflection of what's going

on inside of us already.

So what I like to say that is these people who

made you feel a certain way,

they're Asshole Angels.

So they are an angel because they're here to teach you

what's already happening inside your heart,

because you wouldn't be feeling that way,

or reacting that way

if that wasn't already something that you believed.

If some part in our being didn't already believe it,

then you wouldn't react and feel that way.

I call them Asshole Angels because they kinda come

in the form of an asshole because

they make us, make us

feel embarrassed or not good enough

or all of these negative things.

But really, they're just pushing a button

that's already inside of you,

and there is an opportunity for growth.

So I know it's easier to blame.

I know it's easier to say that they made me feel this way.

But if we continue to do that, you're always gonna

feel powerless over your circumstance.

You're always gonna feel like there's

nothing that you can do about it.

When we can take responsibility for how we feel

and the way that we experience the world,

we see it differently.

Most people are creating suffering in their life

on their own, but they just don't understand

how their mind works, so that's why

I'm making this video for you.

So if you like this, please give it a thumb's-up.

I would love if you share this with your friends.

And of course, be sure to subscribe

so you get the update when I post a new video

every single week.

Make it a great day.

Dragon Ball Super Episode 108 Full Advance "Analysis" - Duration: 10:24.

Hello

zeta warriors Today we will analyze the advancement Episode 108 Dragon Ball Super, for

try to reveal what will happen.

I feel happy and satisfied because we hit in the above theory, we said that where

although frost managed to lock up vegueta with Mafuba, something unexpected would happen,

but vegueta would rid of that situation.

We must recognize that was a very good scene.

The teacher Roshi has been able to release to vegueta and the Prince come to her

help, it was an admirable act, demonstrating the vegueta is no longer an evil being, by

Rather, it is a great and proud character, which it has managed to win the affection of the fans.

Now if we start with the analysis of the episode 108.

Gojan progress begins with repelling one attack white and purple, so

It is likely to have been launched by Frizer, Gojan defends himself as he tells Gokú,

that rather than try to consider Frizer as an ally, to always be the same

ruthless villain, and even more so when it is working with Frost. then we see that Frizer

lowers his hand and watch his power when star with the platform, which confirms,

Frizer actually is betraying the seventh universe wanting to eliminate

Gojan.

Before you start fighting Frizer the son of Goku, this is taking

a tough battle against the yadratiano Universe 2, Frizer appear suddenly,

but not to collaborate in the fight, but to Gojan end, the son of saiyayin that

Frizer hates, and recently was a about to kill for revenge when

it revived, but it was not possible because Gokú appeared at the last moment

and he prevented. during episode 108 will see the kind of alliance between Frizer

and frost, finally let everyone Cheaters aware of what they are, coming together

Gojan to attack, which it will trouble, as both villains are very strong

and that we are not taking into account the Golden shape of Frizer, with which would suffice

one stroke to expel the Gojan platform, but apparently, that transformation,

It is not yet the powerful Frizer plans, who prefers to remain in the current form

and fight without wearing their energy.

although we can see that Gojan is achieving to confront the evil emperor, so

only if Frizer and frost are coordinated, They could get him out of the platform,

just after we see Frizer run very excited and is very confident, his

look seems to indicate that you're getting victory against Gojan, given that Gojan

you may see is hurt and exhausted, but if we think carefully,

Gokú could come to their aid, or bills Frizer could threaten to behave,

but I doubt that the emperor of evil, abide by that order.

The next thing we see is a scene where kiabe receives a sharp blow Mole, by

we can speculate that kiabe, the saiyayin sixth universe will be one of the possible

108 deleted chapter, as it has enough skill to cope

a mole and I doubt very much that manages to escape, topo decide whether or not it out of the platform.

The scene that follows, we conclude that Gokú It has not helped because it is Gojan

even he is fighting ribiane second witch universe, though the battle appears to be intense,

we realize that Goku is too easy, because it has not even felt the need

transform into Super saiyayin, and this It makes me think that Goku has not come in

Gojan help, believing that Gojan It has enough power to rid Exit

of that dangerous situation.

The next thing we see is that Frizer and frost are talking, while they have

his gaze focused on a single point, such it seems that this point is Gojan and are talking

probably they can defeat him easily.

And to confirm what has been said, we see that while found together, frost points his

Gojan finger and thereby clarify that if they were talking about was a cinch defeat him.

However, there is something that catches my attention, just before frost launched its attack,

Frizer seen it in a way a bit strange and rushes to attack Gojan preventing

so frost launch their attack, this gives me Frizer understand that slyly saves

Gojan to die, so we suspect Frizer not fully trust frost and

realizes that does not suit you eliminate as soon the warriors of the seventh universe,

so he hastens to attack him, freeing him frost attack and it is left to

a blow to the face, at that moment Frizer, to avoid suspicion against frost, decides

Gojan hit, but apparently is Gojan He has taken seriously and see that performs a

jame powerful kame ha to try to end with Frizer, and when that happens, the expression

Frost, it worries us a bit, it seems that Frizer want to lose, but we can not

guarantee anything.

A moment later, we can realize that the kamejameja of Gojan did not affect

at least that is about to Frizer withdraw from the fight, we do not know the reason,

Gojan possibly he sent to another place the platform had time to

recover, at that time, we can see that cross some words villains while

Frizer turns his back to frost, this ejects your finger a ball of energy, while

stares at Frizer apparently It will be used to attack him while

located off guard.

This can not be sure, but most probable, as we can see.

For as we know, both villains are very cheats and it would be nothing unusual to end up

by betraying themselves.

However, you may not know frost the true power of Frizer and shed

that ball of energy would be signing his judgment, because the emperor of evil, does not

cost no work to end frost.

If this happens, frost lose, The Covenant and possibly end

Frizer continue to support our universe.

Although I would have lost at that time confidence of all.

Entrepreneur Felix Martin-Aguilar - CEOwise with Dan Newman #11 - Duration: 9:38.

Felix, thanks so much for joining CEOwise.

Thank you so much, thanks a lot. You started your business buying and selling

secondhand cell phones and now you've got them in retailers such as

Edgars, Jet and CNA, how did ReWare come about?

ReWare is a South African brand it's a South African company. My origins are Spanish, but I

have been living here for quite a while, going to 9 years, my wife is South African.

So Nothando Moleketi that was co-founder with me, we started on the

buyback of the phones with a company called Zwipit in South Africa, it's

a European company based in Spain. We started basically buying back the

phones from people, so you have all cell phones that are lying there in your

place and then we will offer money. The reality is that actually very fast

we saw that what people really wanted was to buy those phones instead of

selling those more. There is up a big trend of handing over to the next,

handing down exactly, so you know to your children or to a friend, and then we

started receiving a lot of calls in terms of can we buy those those used

phones, so we switched the model, we broke out from the European company that

we were working with then we started ReWare. We started sourcing

internationally very high quality phones and selling to retail with 1 year

warranty and everything, you know, very very high quality, all tested or, you

know, parts and from there we grew. We started with the Edcon group, it was 14

stores in November 2015 and there has been growing now we are in 160, 170 and

the point in the rest of it, we sign JD Group as well, so pretty soon

we'll be also in incredible Connections and Hi-fi Corp. Discussions with

Mass Mart, so Macro and Game and with operators, so we're starting to get a lot

of traction in retail in South Africa, but what we have done also is to

take the concept internationally, so you know attacking Africa, we'll be

in Kenya and Mozambique, Lesotho, and others and then we have

set also an international platform so we have now a presence in Hong Kong and we

have presence in the Philippines where we do a lot of the testing and of

the phones and then we can serve the rest of the market. So going to Europe in

Spain, launching in September, so it has been quite an intensive exercise of

growth, but very successful. People need that affordable smartphone, the

top of the range, you know, everyone wants it. And what challenges do you have

trying to break into other markets like throughout Africa?

Well, the African continent is difficult, and every country is very specific,

so first you need to know someone in the market that is gonna be able to help

you, because we provide a one-year warranty and needs to be served in

country we can't bring the phones back here, so that is the first

challenge to find someone that actually can help you and support

and normally that person or that company will take also the distribution

and all the clearing and importing documents, and then the

regulatory requirements. I think that the challenge is that the pre-owned

market has had a bad reputation in general. In the past a lot of people

try to do it in Africa and it was very very, you know, low quality devices so

breaking that perception has been a challenge. So how do you educate the

market, because you started as a certified pre-owned cellphones and how do you educate the market?

So well, we try to do a little bit of of digital media

and different campaigns, PR as well, so that people see that actually,

you know, it's a serious business. It's certified, it's not just

pre-owned, but then I think that the

presence in return has been critical for us, so when you go with someone like

Edcon who we started as a partner, that gives you a reputation, that gives you,

you know, it's mainstream it's retail it's there, it's nicely presented,

so I think that has helped a lot. When your business became

self-funded you then wanted some working capital assistance and banks declined you

for that, surely banks are only keen to lend money to companies like yours?

Well no. Yeah banks, you know, are very risk-averse. Any startup with less than

five years trading it's gonna be very very very difficult to raise some

funding to get a loan. We didn't even have an overdraft. Even with a proven model

overseas you still battled? They wouldn't even listen to you, you know, so you

can find a few trade financing houses that take more risk with

entrepreneurs and that's what we started, and venture capitalists, exactly and

VC, and then, but I think the lucky part in South Africa there are a

number of companies that big enough that have been in the industry of and they

were entrepreneurs in the cellphone industry and they are actually quite

happy to fund this type of ventures, so in the end through the industry you can,

if your model is good you will you will find the funding, more expensive.

How do you think we can uplift entrepreneurism in South Africa?

I think that in South Africa I find a lot of initiative in terms of

entrepreneurship. A lot of people out there trying. I think that there are two

elements missing, which is first is access to funding, and the government

does efforts and there is some funding available probably not well

advertised, probably not easy to access. The process is also a little bit

tedious, so I think there is an element on helping with seed funding and then

the second one is also more mentoring and helping from people with the real experience.

So you have your products in the retailers as well as having it

online on e-commerce website, how do those two models differ?

Well massively, look I mean South Africa is quite unique. South Africa is a country

that it's compared some European countries, for example, in economic

growth in a lot of elements, but then you have a big discrepancy in terms

of income. So you see that online is not for everyone, not everyone has

access to a credit card, not everyone has access to a computer and actually they

prefer to go to the store and see the product. So there is a market

for brick and mortar, but then there is a growing online reality in South Africa

and it's growing fast, it's behind behind Europe, behind the US and some

countries in Asia, but growing fast, so I think that it's required presence but

you need to be realistic with what you can expect online and I think that a lot

of people fail on that you have an expectation that you're going to be

doing a hundred thousand sales online, not realistic. We put very very

clear objectives so our initial objectives was that with the profits of

the online channel we will run online advertising, so it's like not making

profit basically putting some tangible objectives and they are linked to the

people that run the online shop to promote more

and that actually gets, you know, the excitement going, and clear objectives and tangible objectives.

You actually, in that first question you answered, like, five of

my questions in one But we can repeat the first one and then go again

you

True Salvation (Clip 3) // Bayless Conley - Duration: 2:09.

Get ready to discover answers in the Bible

with Bayless Conley

More than 20 years ago I had been traveling and doing meetings in Zimbabwe, you know,

previously known as Rhodesia.

And I took my family.

The kids were all small, and I preached in a great convention.

But then we took the family out in the Bush, out in an area where there wasn't much out

there at all, and I preached under an old-fashioned brush arbor with people sitting on the ground.

And the few homes that they had there were these little huts that were made out of dried

cow dung.

And I remember we crowded into this one little cow-dung hut with my family with an old woman

in there.

With a dirt floor, she had a little fire, and she was cooking.

But she was a believer in Jesus Christ.

She found salvation in the Savior, and I was with family.

I didn't speak her language, but she was family.

You know, as a young Christian I came back to California.

I took a friend of mine, we went to a church in Compton called Little Mount Zion.

I will never forget Reverend Fisher, he would sing his sermons.

My goodness!

I still remember the illustrations.

He sung about this tag-team wrestling match in heaven where Lucifer got thrown out.

My, my, my, my my!

But you know what?

We were the only white people in the church, but we were not made in any way, shape, or

form to feel like outsiders.

We were family.

Only the blood of Jesus Christ can do that.

Listen: True salvation is a radical thing!

Not religion, but true salvation is radical.

It didn't just break down the barrier between God and men.

It has broken down the walls between men and men, and we have been reconciled.

I am reconciled!

Talking to children about Lymphoma - Duration: 10:22.

Hello, my name is Claire Tune. I'm the lead counsellor here at Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care.

I think the most important thing about supporting children through difficult situations,

such as a serious life illness, is being open and honest with them.

Even small children, very young children, toddlers, can pick up when there's something going on in the family.

They can tell the difference in how people are reacting to one another and atmospheres in the home

and these things can often escalate for them, their thoughts can become quite irrational

and that can instill a great sense of fear in them.

The way to avoid that is actually to sit them down quietly, somewhere comfortable,

where all of you feel comfortable together

and just gently explain to them that mummy or daddy isn't very well at the moment.

How much detail you tell them at that point is very much dependent on their age

and their ability to understand this information.

Obviously younger children's understanding will be far less than older children's.

Helping children understand the things that may happen during a person's illness is really important

to prepare them and for them not to be scared.

If you're able to talk to them and help them know what's going to be coming,

they can deal with it in a much better way.

Things like weight loss, or even weight gain, where physical appearance can change quite dramatically.

Hair loss can be another very obvious change.

Sickness also, where they may be receiving treatment and that might mean long periods of time in bed,

they're no longer able to get up and do school runs or take part in activities they may have done once before,

playing football, just generally going out and about and being part of the family,

perhaps sitting down and having family meals together.

Things like that can change and it's really important that children understand that this is all part of the process

and it's not something for them to become overly anxious about.

What we describe as puddle jumping, is where we see children becoming very upset and distressed

in one moment and then next moment they're running off down the garden and jumping on the swings

and playing quite happily.

It's perfectly normal behaviour. This is how children process the information,

so don't be alarmed if you think that your child perhaps isn't reacting to what

you're telling them or is perhaps overreacting to what you're telling them.

Just be there, be a constant reassurance for them in their life that what's happening

and what they're experiencing is okay and encourage communication all the time.

Tell them that if they want to come and talk to you, if they have any questions, they can come and ask you.

It's okay for you to say, 'actually, I don't know the answer to that, it's a really interesting question

I'll go and see if I can find out.'

The important thing about talking to children as well, is to make sure that they all know the same information.

That can be quite challenging when you have children of varying ages and developmental stages as well.

Their ability to understand information may be greater or lesser than their siblings.

It's helpful if you can all sit down together and talk together using language

that perhaps the younger of the children will understand, so that it's not beyond their reach

to hear what's being said, to understand the words that you're using.

Encourage them to ask questions. It may be that older children will want to ask more complex questions

and that's okay if you can then try and help the younger children perhaps

understand what their sibling is asking, in simpler language.

It's also really important to use the correct words.

Routines can sometimes change and whilst they are important for children,

it's always helpful if you can try and manage their expectations around how things might change.

For example, picking up from school or even dropping off to school.

It may not be you anymore, it may be someone else, it may be a family friend,

and you can help them understand the reasons for that.

Let them know who's going to be picking them up and on what days, reinforcing that on the day, as well,

so they have an expectation of what's going to be happening to them and where they're going to be going,

what time you might be coming back to pick them up.

This helps them manage their emotions and it instils a sense of control and calmness for them as well.

How we model our behaviour to our children is very key.

For our children to be able to express themselves, they need to be able to see us expressing ourselves as well.

So that might be you, the parents, or the grandparents, and other adults around them who are key to their care.

It's okay for us to be emotional and to shed a tear and to say to our children, 'I'm feeling really sad because...'

In that way, we are modelling to them and showing them that actually it's really okay to have these emotions

and not to bottle them up.

Bottling them up can actually cause a lot of illness in us, depression, and it can make it very hard for us

to communicate with one another, which is quite key as we develop and become mature adults.

Even though a child might not be in the room with you at the time when you're having a conversation

with someone else, very often they can be around and about in the house,

and they do pick up on conversations and they hear bits and pieces

and actually that can be very detrimental to a child if you're trying to hide things from them,

because they will hear one part, not the rest, and that can escalate in their minds

and again, instil great fear in them.

Often if you're not talking to them about it, they won't be talking to you about it,

so that information will be growing in their minds and they won't be sharing it

and that can actually cause them to become very low in mood, even depressed.

It can also cause other issues, such as, sleeping problems and things like that.

So, communication all the time is really important.

You don't want your child to be hearing about your illness from another child in the school playground

and that can happen.

Always explaining to children what they can expect to be happening, also helps manage their expectations

and support them through a process.

For example, if you're going to be taking a child into hospital to see a sick relative,

to help them understand what they can expect to see, what the environment's going to be like,

is it a room with a person on their own, is it going to be a ward, what it's going to look like,

what it's going to smell like, what might be happening in there, there might be other people coming and going

and what might those people be doing, some might be visiting, some might be doctors and nurses,

to help them understand exactly what they can expect to see and experience is really important.

They can then make a choice as to whether or not they feel able to go into that environment.

It's also really important children have choice.

It's very unhelpful to force a child into a situation that they really don't feel comfortable in

and that would be quite damaging for them and they will remember that forever.

Allowing them to have that choice, an informed choice, and telling them that if they want to change their mind,

at any point, that's absolutely okay, is really vitally important.

It's all part of their emotional development and if we can support our children in the right way,

we're giving them the tools that they need to get through other difficult situations throughout the rest of their life.

This can be a very difficult and challenging time for families

and it's always useful to remember that you're not on your own, there is other help

and resources out here for you, to support you.

Counselling might be something that could be helpful for you as individuals and even as a family.

Other resources you might want to consider,

that perhaps are quite obvious but maybe don't seem so obvious,

are your friends and your family, who are around you.

What's in your community? It may be your church group or your school or Brownies or Cubs.

Associations like that can be really invaluable at difficult times.

They can help maintain a sense of normality in each person's life, but also be there to support

and understand that things are difficult and that that individual, that child,

might need additional nurturing or attention.
