[Unboxing Organic Beauty Products I Won]

and guess what I just got in the mail?

Wooo whooo!

If you follow me on snapchat and Instagram then you already saw from

my stories that I was a winner of the Organic to Green youtube contest!

So let's go on and open it and see what it is. I just want to do a quick little

video and show you what I got.

Now full disclaimer (FTC): this video is not a sponsored!

Yes, I was sent these products for free. However, it was part of a contest, so I'm

not getting paid for this or anything. But I got these products [sent] and they didn't

tell me that I had to post a video or anything like that. I'm doing this on my

own free will! I'm just super excited anytime I get new

fun products and I want to show you guys, yada yada yada...enough of that! Let's keep

it rolling!

It's been, honestly, a day since I got this and I've been dying, but I

haven't had time to do the video for you guys! And I wanted to film it so...

Cuz who doesn't love opening up presents? I love watching unboxing videos!

Oooo! It's already green and

beautiful just like the company!

Basically they started out from scratch, and small batches, and they are steadily

growing and gaining lots of traction. They, last year, went into ULTA Beauty.

I did a first impression video for the first time me trying it.

I've been following them for a

while and I'm just super stoked.

Oh my goodness, look at this little package! So cute!

Little stickers and everything! Oh & a cute little

note thanking me. Oh, that is so sweet. It's little touches like that. So companies

out there just know the little notes mean the world.

Then it has some little information. So I can read more about them. That's super

cute. Yeah, it's created by Rianna Loving and

I love following her Instagram, she has the best posts. Really cute stuff, she is adorable!

Ok, let's open it! So excited! So I remember this being one

of them. This is the Coco oil, which I tested out on my channel and I tried the

Ylang Ylang, and this one is the no fragrance added, which is awesome.

It's been about 2 months since I tried that one and that little guy I'm only halfway

through & I use it every night. So this sucker is gonna last me quite some

time. So, I'm super excited about that, so far. If you haven't watched my video yet,

I use it to take off heavy, crazy, makeup. I did purposely crazy makeup to

take everything off and it took it off so easy! I also cleanse with this now,

which I take it in warm water and I just smoosh it around and then I rinse it off.

It is beautiful. But if you know me at all, I'm notoriously dry, and I have

this crazy dry patch on my nose ever since pregnancy and nothing takes it

away! Well, this stuff has taken it away. So if I'm

feeling extra dry I put this on all over at night, but if I'm like okay I at least

put it on my nose area and I haven't had an issue since. So, two months flaky nose

free and it's all because of this stuff.

I am super excited...I need to try using

it shaving, it says you can use it shaving...and cleansing already I use it [like that]...

I use it in my hair, it feels really nice. it's really light. What else can use it for?

Ooooh, you can make a DIY scrub, so I might need to try that and let you guys know

how that is. And, you know what? This one is gonna be even better for me since

it's fragrance free because I am more on the sensitive side. I love the

fragrances in the Ylang Ylang, and I've smelled the rose before and that's

really nice, but this fragrance free will be better for my day-to-day

skin care.

And now, this cute little bag. Oh, I just, I love packaging. I'm such a

sucker for it! I just love it!

These little bath bombs!

Oh, how did you guys know I am such a sucker for these? Oh, they're so cute!

They smell so nice! They like...bath bombs, you guys, I tried making them but I

found out that I don't really like essential oils because it's what I

was trying to use, but these ones smell amazing! They don't smell like perfume-ie

or, I'm sorry, like "old lady-ie". They're very nice.

I don't know the "fragrance" on these but they are so nice.

Organic to Green, let me know what these

fragrances are! Because they are amazing, smells so good!

Ooh, I saw them talking about this on their YouTube channel. The Chap Guard

Great Barrier. This is supposed to be a nice all over chafing guard and a

skin and lip conditioner. Oooh, super excited! Ooo, that's nice. it's a very

light, very very light, lavender fragrance. Let's just go into it, ok, let's

just test it out. Let's feel this since I haven't felt it before.

Ooh, super creamy. Ok, my skin has a nice glow. Do you see that? I see you

girl! I see you! So you're supposed to apply this protective wax barrier before

exposure to the elements to protect lips, skin, face, cheeks, & hands from extreme

hot or cold. Chapping, even irritants like rashes, baby's bum...

So, that is great actually going into the winter. Especially because if anybody out

there snowboards or skis you get really chapped skin, really easily, from the

wind and the cold blowing at you. And you need something like that. And this is

a more natural, obviously more organic, option. So that is super exciting!

I can't wait to use this as a lip conditioner. If I didn't have a bunch of it liquid

lipstick layered on me right now I'd slather it on, but I didn't know, I didn't

know what was going to be in here!

This guy, this is what got me subscribed to their channel!

The All in One Liquid Coco oil in the Vanilla Chamomile. How do you guys know I love

vanilla? Oh, because your mind readers! Oh and then

the lemon, I was super interested in trying this one for when I'm breaking out. so

the lemon is supposed to be purifying and it's like antibacterial, if I'm not mistaken,

I think that's what I saw. I'm not sure, don't quote me on that. But it's supposed

to help with completely cleansing the skin and purifying the skin. So, also good

for those times a month or if you have acneic skin type. I know I read that

somewhere.

Trump vows if threatened to 'totally destroy' North Korea, Kim Jong-un on 'suicide mission' - Duration: 2:39.

Our top story this morning....

U.S. President Donald Trump has issued his strongest warning yet to North Korean leader

Kim Jong-un at his debut at the UN General Assembly.

Calling him by the nickname, "Rocket Man," on the global stage, Trump said North Korea's

nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles are a threat to the entire world.

Our Park Hee-jun has the details.

The 72nd UN General Assembly session opened on Tuesday.

Leaders from 193 member states gathered at the UN's New York headquarters to address

several ongoing international crises,...including the Rohingya crisis, the civil war in Syria,

climate change, and of course North Korea's continual nuclear and missile provocations.

The highlight was, as expected, U.S. President Donald Trump's keynote speech at his first

appearance at a General Assembly session since his inauguration in January.

In a wide-ranging speech where he hit out at Iran and Venezuela,...

President Trump reserved his sternest words for the leadership in Pyongyang.

He said that,... if necessary,... the U.S. would "totally destroy" North Korea to defend

itself and its allies.

(English) "The United States has great strength and

patience, but if it is forced to defend itself or its allies, we will have no choice but

to totally destroy North Korea.

Rocket Man is on a suicide mission for himself and for his regime.

The United States is ready, willing and able, but hopefully this will not be necessary."

He went on to emphasize the importance of UN member nations working together to isolate

the Kim Jong-un regime.

President Trump also thanked members of the UN Security Council, specifically China and

Russia,... for their votes in favor of the toughest ever UN resolution on Pyongyang for

its most recent nuclear test.

Although Pyongyang will have heard President Trump's comments loud and clear,... the North

Korean diplomats in New York weren't in the room to hear them.. as the North's UN ambassador

left his seat prior to Trump's arrival.

Following the speech, South Korea's presidential office issued a statement, saying it's evident

the new U.S. administration sees the North Korean nuclear issue as highly important.

The top office also said Trump's remarks confirm that the strongest possible sanctions are

the only way to denuclearize the rogue regime.

President Moon Jae-in, who will deliver his speech on Thursday, is expected to focus on

North Korea and call for international cooperation to condemn and rein in Pyongyang's provocations.

South Korean President confident successful PyeongChang 2018 will promote peace - Duration: 3:35.

President Moon Jae-in's second day in New York for the UN General Assembly--has so far

been all about bilateral and multilateral meetings... and his key messages consistent:

The international community must work together to fundamentally solve North Korea's nuclear

problem and the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics will serve as venue for promoting peace in

the region.

Our chief Blue House correspondent is in New York... traveling with the president.

It's day two of the South Korean president's four-day visit to New York and already Mr.

Moon has met with a number of global leaders on the sidelines of the 72nd United Nations

General Assembly.

The South Korean leader began his day by continuing his efforts to promote next year's Winter

Olympic and Paralympic Games in the nation's alpine resort town of PyeongChang.

His first meeting on this Tuesday: talks with International Olympic Committee President

Thomas Bach.

"I'm sure that today we can discuss how we can really make this Olympic Winter Games

together successfully."

(Korean) "North Korea's missile provocations have added

to the current tense situation in Northeast Asia.

I believe a successful hosting of the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang would serve as an

opportunity to promote peace in the region and defuse any concerns regarding regional

security."

Since his arrival in New York Monday afternoon, South Korean President Moon has been seeking

to assure the world community that the upcoming Winter Games in his country will be held peacefully...

dismissing the possibility of any conflict with North Korea.

(Korean) "The president also said should South Korea's

Olympic Truce Declaration be adopted with the support of many countries on November

13th, it will help remove security concerns and North Korea's participation in the Games

will further help guarantee that security."

The tradition of the Olympic Truce dates back to the 9th century BC, in Ancient Greece.

The IOC decided to revive this ancient concept and since 1993, the UN General Assembly has

been urging Member States to observe the Olympic Truce from the seventh day before the opening

to the seventh day following the closing of each Olympic Games.

President Moon again called for collective efforts by the international community to

swiftly and fundamentally solve North Korea's nuclear problem in a peaceful manner... at

a state luncheon hosted by the UN Secretary-General in a UN meeting hall on this Tuesday.

Over pan-seared beef and potatoes with ten other world leaders, including U.S. President

Donald Trump and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, the South Korean leader also asked those

attending the power lunch for their support in PyeongChang's hosting of the Winter Games

as one for peace.

President Moon also held one-on-ones with UK Prime Minister Theresa May, President of

the Czech Republic Milo Zeman and President Macky Sall of Senegal throughout the day.

Mr. Moon is currently in a meeting hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron aimed

at spurring the implementation of the 2015 Paris Climate Agreement... and absent from

that meeting, U.S. President Donald Trump.

EASY T-SHIRT UPCYCLE | Style Pile #16 - Duration: 4:34.

There is a box in every crafter's home, that is filled with old unfinished projects,

and stuff you thrifted in the hopes of upcycling.

That becomes abandoned, That becomes forgotten.

Well this is the series that tackles that forgotten box.

This is the Style Pile!

The items that I'm pulling out from the Style Pile Box today are these two loose-fitting,

slightly oversized t-shirts.

Now in the past, I've usually just styled and worn oversized tees by tying them up like

so with a hair-tie.

But that doesn't look awesome, and we can make it fit more nicely than this, with just

a tiiiiny bit more work!

So today, I'm going to be chopping these tees up to turn them into cute, tie-up crop

tops.

So, I started off with this loose-fitting t-shirt that I got from the thrift shop for

$4.

This t-shirt also has a small, kinda nasty looking little stain on it that I wanted to

get rid of – it's not showing up well on camera, but, yeah, it's… definitely

there.

So I wanted to use this tee in a project where I would be able to get rid of that stain.

So I figured out the point that I wanted to crop the t-shirt to – usually this is just

above my belly button, but you can choose wherever you would like on your own body!

Then, I drew a line with chalk at this point.

I also measured the length from the chalk line to the bottom of the t-shirt, which was

8 inches on my t-shirt.

Next, I drew on two more chalk lines that were also 8 inches up from the bottom of the

t-shirt, at the sides of the tee, and I extended these lines around to the back, just past

the side seams.

Then I flipped the tee over, so the back was facing up, and I joined up these two side

lines up with one long line of chalk, using a rule to make sure this line was straight.

So next, I cut up one side seam, and then I cut straight across this chalk line, and

then back down the other side seam of the t-shirt.

Then I flipped the tee back around to the front.

And then next, I folded the tee in half like THIS to create a crease exactly down the MIDDLE

of the t-shirt.

And then I drew a vertical chalk line directly on top of this crease.

Next, I extended the vertical line 3 inches up from the first chalk line that I drew on

the t-shirt.

Then, I cut straight up this chalk line with my pair of scissors.

The last step was to draw a curved line, that looks like THIS.

The curved line goes from that side chalk mark, down to the middle slit, and it tapers

off in a triangle shape like THIS.

And then I cut along this line with my scissors.

To make sure that the cropped t-shirt would be symmetrical, next I folded it in half again

like this, and I traced around the shape that I cut out, with my chalk.

Then I unfolded it, annnnd I cut up this line here.

And, I'm done with the cropping!

Now, an optional step is to adjust the sleeve length and permanently cuff the sleeves at

this length.

I did this by folding the sleeves up once, then twice, like this, and then tacking in

a couple of stitches at four points around the sleeves – here, here, here and here!

To do this, I used a needle and a thread, and I hand sewed - I simply sewed up and down

through the cuff a couple of times in one spot... tied off the thread at the back...

and, that's it!

And this is what it looks like!

Now this was a short and simple DIY, that can be completed in about 10-20 minutes, and

it's a great project to try out if you're new to upcycling your clothes, especially

as it doesn't require a sewing machine.

I get a lot of comments that say "I wish I could upcycle or sew my own clothes, but

I just don't have the skills!" – but I promise you, this is a project that pretty

much anybody can do!

And if you don't bother with the sleeve shortening, then all you need for this project

is a t-shirt, a pair of scissors, some chalk and a spare 10 minutes.

Also, one more note is that t-shirt fabric doesn't fray, so you don't need to worry

about finishing off the raw edges of the fabric!

All you gotta do is snip snip snip, and you're done!

Also, I just wanted to give a shoutout to everyone who came to meet me or see me on

I had the BEST time meeting you all, and I hope that you guys enjoyed it as well!

I've been absolutely exhausted and recovering from Vidcon all week, so that's why I chose

this relatively simple project to do today – I hope that you guys understand, and also

2,500 cruise tourists from Taiwan visit Korea's Busan on Tuesday - Duration: 2:56.

South Korea's cruise sector was one of the hardest hit industries when China slapped

a blanket ban on group tours to South Korea... in protest over the deployment of a U.S. defense

system.

But Seoul has been formulating measures to lessen the country's dependency on Chinese

visitors,... and as our Lee Jiwon tells us, those efforts are starting to bear fruit.

A cruise carrying some 25-hundred tourists arrived in Korea's southern port city of Busan

early Tuesday morning.

Having departed from Taiwan on Sunday,... Sapphire Princess made a one day-stop in Korea

as part of a seven day trip around East Asia.

Unlike last year, when there was only one cruise coming from Taiwan, Tuesday's trip

is the fourth time that a cruise from Taiwan has docked at the port city this year,...

carrying some 95-hundred tourists to Busan.

The majority of Korea's cruise tourists used to come from China,... which accounted for

over 90 percent of the nearly two-million cruise tourists visiting Korea last year.

But with Beijing banning group tours to Korea in March in retaliation for Seoul's deployment

of the THAAD missile defense system, Korea's cruise industry has been hard hit,... seeing

a more than 90-percent on-year fall in cruise tourists in May and June.

Since the ban,... Korea's tourism industry, including Busan Port Authority, has been active

in trying to diversify its tourists,… and Taiwan is one promising market.

Port authorities expect the number of Taiwanese cruise tourists to jump from 250-thousand

last year, to well over 300-thousand this year.

With limited time to explore the city, many cruise tourists opt for a one-day tour to

see Busan's famous sites.

(Stndp) "One of the stops on the tour is the BIFF

square.

Every year, the city hosts the world-renowned Busan International Film Festival,... and

in this area tourists can enjoy the history of Korean films while tucking in to some local

street foods."

From spicy rice-cakes,... to Busan's famous sweet pancakes, Hodduk,… there's plenty

of Korean snacks to taste.

And on the streets are hand prints of famous movie directors and stars,... as well as posters

of some of the country's most well-known movies.

time I've been to Busan.

The food is great and this place is really exciting "

Port authorities say they are working on diverse tour packages that can attract more tourists

from other countries next year.

(Korean) "Our promotion activities focused mainly on

Taiwan this year,... but we will expand our marketing into other Southeast Asian countries,

such as Hong Kong, Indonesia and Malaysia to share Korea's beautiful traditions."

Levels of Power | ASL Ponderings & Deaf Awareness Month - Duration: 6:41.

Hello, I'm Rogan and welcome to another Deaf Awareness Month video.

This is also an ASL Ponderings.

I'm not sure how I'm going to do the title. (shrug)

What I want to talk about today is something that I discussed with my Frontrunners group.

It applies to ASL, and I think it probably applies to any sign language.

What I want to talk about, I'm not sure what to call it. The best way to describe it is levels of power.

I'm going to start with a sign: looking down.

It's either I'm [looking down]. Like the person is in front of me, and I'm looking down on the person.

They're below me, [looking down].

Or... If I'm talking about someone doing that to me, it's [looking down on me:two alternatives]

So, [looking down] or [looking down on me].

The position of your hands show where the power is. So I [look down], I have the power.

They [look down on me], they have the power.

I'm showing you that sign because I will give you a few other signs that also show a level of power.

See if you can figure out where the level of power is.

God. People.

The government. Workers.

Hearing. Deaf.

See where I'm going with this?

Let me explain.

God. Obviously, God is a greater "being," above us.

People are below. I "take on" the role of God.

That's just an example.

In that case, it's obvious where the power is, God and people.

Now, government. Did you notice I made a face when I signed government?

That is because often when you do that, pointing up, it's like Big Brother, Orwell's 1984 kind of government.

They control us, they have all the power. We can't do anything.

And the workers, they're under the government. They can't do anything, they're less than.

So that's the idea of those situations.

Now, I'm sure some of you were surprised when I said hearing and deaf.

This is...something that a lot of signers do and they will do levels of power without even realizing it.

They just do it unconsciously. But what they often don't think about is they often refer to hearing people like so.

Yeah, that's a hearing person.

Often, they will put them higher, not on the same level. Why? Why?

Of course, this has a lot to do with how a person was raised, how they view hearing people...

Their attitude towards hearing people.

This came up during one of our conversations at Frontrunners.

I don't remember how this conversation began, I think one of the teachers mentioned it...

Or caught one of the students making it really obvious, pointing high when saying hearing.

They asked the student, why point so high?

Hearing people are not above us. Why point so high? Why? It should be on the same level, it should be flat.

Not up, flat. So after that, we discussed it and government came up, and God.

Anything that has a power imbalance.

Some situations, it's completely understandable, and makes sense.

Like school, they have the power, it makes sense. Parents, makes sense. But...hearing? Why?

It's not one of those signs that can be analyzed to find its origin, because it's more of a locative.

Meaning location of where the sign is, pointing, orientation, all of that.

It's not the sign itself. The sign itself is not the problem.

It's the thinking behind that sign. Or rather, the not thinking behind that sign.

In this situation, hearing, it probably has to do with a long history of oppression by

people who have hearing ability or those who believe that hearing is everything, speaking is important.
