hey guys! Shawn here for another two minute tip tuesday and today's two
minute tip is for kids. if you are interested in learning how to make your
own children's book at home keep watching. fun activity to do with your children is to
have them make their own very simple children's book. and so I thought I would
show you an example of something I did in high school. I am NOT an artist by
any means but I had a lot of fun. so much fun with this project that I have kept
it through the years. and so it's just a simple children's book made out of a
folder just a regular file folder. and you use staples to hold things
together. you just need some glue and some construction paper and markers
crayons or colored pencils. anything you want to make it out of. but you put your
title on the front of the file folder. and this is called the Rolly Polly
Postman Delivery. this book is all about a postman who delivers letters to
princesses. when I was a kid I had a really great fairy tale book that
I loved so that's where it came from. this one is to Briar Rose. so you just
get some construction paper and make a simple envelope out of it, cutting a
triangle and two pieces of paper and using some staples and some glue. then you put
your address of where you think your fairy tale lives and who it's from.
this one I made a cute little Rose on the outside of it for Briar Rose and it
says "dear Briar Rose I would like to introduce you to a new product it is a
non sleeping pill. it will help keep you awake for 100 years. it works much better
than coffee. I call it the Wonder worker. sample is enclosed inside packet. yours
truly new products." so this is just a product offered to Briar Rose. if you
remember she slept for a hundred years. so there's that one and you can do a lot
of different fairy tale. so this video is going to go a little bit over two
minutes. you can stop here and put together your own
storybook or you can keep listening as I read the story for you all. the Rolly-Polly
postman's delivery. the Rolly-Polly postman walked to the house of briar rose and
the prince. this was the first letter he was having to deliver today. he knocked
on the door and gave the letter to the butler. the butler gave him a penny for
his good services and he was on his way to deliver the next letter. Here's briar
roses' letter. we already read the letter that was on the inside.
the next letter said it was to be delivered to the three pigs. he walked
through the woods, over a hill, swam through a swamp, and arrived at the Three
Little Pigs house. he knocked on the door. three little heads poked out and said
who's there? the Rolly-Polly postman answered it is I
the postman with a letter. the pig said thank you and closed the door. all right
so this letter is from the big bad wolf. sixteen ham Street the woods. to the
at the Three Little Pigs brick house the clearing. this letter says with a
lunch menu. lunch menu: roasted pigs topped with gravy.
jello. to the three little pigs what birthday party when March 16th 2 to
3 p.m. from big bad wolf.
the next letter was addressed to Belle. Belle was so sweet the Rolly-Polly Postman
liked delivering letters to Belle and saying hi to chip. as he walked up to the
door he noticed the house is quiet. everybody must be asleep he thought so
he left the letter on the door stop. it's from we remove thorns thorn bash Road.
Belle Rose drive the castle. let's see what this letter said:
dear mrs. beast when I heard you had roses I knew my product is what you
needed. my product is called thorn remover. you simply rub the cream onto
the thorn in your finger and within three days it will be gone. please fill
out the form, attach this letter, and mail it back in the envelope provided.
compliments of we remove thorn. rose in the little corner and the included extra
envelope. all right let's see where the postman is going to next. the next letter
was addressed to Cinderella. he loved Cinderella like his own
daughter. he skipped up to the door. two mice opened it. the Rolly-Polly postman
gave them each a slice of cheese, said goodbye, and went to deliver a letter to
a mermaid. insurance sixteen Shore Drive. Cinderella sixteen pumpkin Road the
castle. the letter is not on the inside. but I remember had some sort of like a slipper
or a shoe on the inside. and I've lost the insert to that one. all right let's
keep going. he rented a boat and when he reached the middle of the ocean he
dropped the letter into the water. a hand quickly threw him a shell then
disappeared. he caught the shell, stuck it in his pocket with the penny and sailed to
England. The Little Mermaid Triton palace.
alright let's see what the letter says: catalog for magic potions. they will work.

potion, and silly potion. when he reached England he delivered a letter to the
mouth of one of the 101 Dalmatians. the puppy, lucky I think, gave him a spot
for his good services. there's the spot. this one is from houses 68 would drive
101 Dalmatians 12 spotted rd. let's see what this letter said:
let's get it out. dear donations, are you tired of looking at the same old
spotted house? do you need to get away from a wicked woman? the answers to your
problems are simple: move. I have sent you some pictures of our beautiful house if
you would like to buy one or 101 houses please call me at 100 HOUSE. the last
letter was to be delivered to India. the Rolla-Polly postman sailed to India
and deliver the letter personally to Aladdin.
Abu handed him a coin then he sailed back home.
the letter's from the All Impressive Genie in Florida and Prince Aladdin at the castle
the palace the palace. alright this letter says : there's a lot of stuff
in this one. dear Al, l just wanted to let you know that I'm living in Florida. it
sure is hot. enclosed are pictures at the beach
resort I own and some plane tickets. come visit me. have fun. love, the genie PS also
enclosed is a picture of my new girlfriend. all right so we've got some plane
tickets here and we've got some house a picture of a condo .oh here's his
girlfriend is that Jem or Barbie? yeah so that's from the Genie. and then the last
page says this: thus concludes the Rolly-Polly postman's delivery. so this
was my book from I did this in high school... high school... I'm thinking high
