"Why Should We Forgive?" - A Motivational Video - Duration: 5:16.
Forgiveness.
In my experiences, it's one of the hardest things that a person can do in life.
Oftentimes, people will go days, weeks, months, years, even whole lifetimes withholding it,
and not always for negative reasons.
Sometimes we'll refuse to forgive an ex lover because of the way they betrayed us, or we'll
refuse to forgive a friend because they didn't call us on a special occasion, yeah.
But sometimes we refuse to forgive people, perhaps a loved one who's passed away, because
they left us alone in this world.
But what is it?
In order to truly understand what "forgiveness" is, we must look to its antonym--it's opposite.
By definition, the opposite of "forgiveness" is "punishment."
So the question is: Who are we punishing?
Science has shown us that stress can actually reduce your lifespan by minutes, hours, even
years.
So when you hold in a negative emotion, you are, quite literally, holding in poison.
Now, oftentimes, we have very valid reasons for withholding that forgiveness.
But what we don't realize at the time is, it's almost like someone coming up to you,
punching you in the face, and in order to "get back at" them, you are punching yourself
in the face.
Why do you think they call it "holding a grudge"?
It's something that you're carrying along with you until you decide to release it.
Remember that ideal: That it's until YOU decide to release it.
Offering forgiveness is NOT a sign of weakness.
If you remember what I said in the very beginning: It's oftentimes one of the most difficult
things that I've ever had to do.
We often look at forgiveness as letting the other person off the hook, or letting them
win, but that's where we need to change our mindset.
Because forgiveness has nothing to do with anyone except ourselves.
We deserve it.
We deserve to put down that baggage.
We deserve to live those extra couple of years.
Forgiveness is not going back, or you letting them come back, or you letting them win, or
you giving up.
No.
Forgiveness is you taking back control of your life.
Because you've got to understand the reality of the situation.
This is someone who, for whatever reason, they have given you this bag, and they've
said, "You've got to carry this for the rest of your life."
Forgiveness is you putting down that baggage and saying, "No, this is MY life; I will not
allow another person to dictate what I will carry on my journey."
And, what's more, forgiveness offers perspective.
Now, I'm sure there's many of you who are sitting there withholding that forgiveness,
and you're thinking that you did everything right.
And maybe you did.
Maybe there's absolutely nothing in the situation that you could've done better, or improved
upon, and you are absolutely 100% correct in everything you did.
But you will never know for sure unless you can take off your blinders and see things
from all angles.
And what we've got to realize is that there's a lot of things that were shoved inside that
bag that person gave you to carry around.
And one of those things are those blinders.
So when you finally offer up that forgiveness you can really take off those blinders and
you can really see the situation from all angles; see it for what it is.
And what you might be surprised to realize, is that there's someone else in the equation
that you need to learn to forgive, as well.
And I'm not saying that you did anything wrong.
I'm not saying that you are the antagonist in this story.
What I'm saying is that life is not always black and white.
And oftentimes the reason that we can't move forward, the reason that we can't be the best
version of ourselves that we can possibly be, sometimes the reason why we can't actually
forgive, is because we can't forgive ourselves.
And the reason we can't forgive ourselves is that we refuse to acknowledge the fact
that we could be wrong in that situation.
Not 100% wrong, but we could have some fault in that situation.
And until we finally acknowledge that--until we finally FORGIVE OURSELVES--we can never
truly move on.
We can never truly put down that baggage.
And the only way to get to that point is to forgive them.
So don't do it for them.
Do it for yourself.
Do it because you deserve it.
You deserve to be free.
You deserve to be healthy.
You deserve to NOT have someone else tell you what you have to carry on your journey.
So forgive them, and be free...

72 HOUR BUILD: SELF DRIVING CAR - Duration: 21:28.
hey guys so we just got invited to an awesome event in Australia come with me
oh my god are we interrupting a gang meeting oh boy t-rex yeah that's so
creepy hey guys we're here down under just south of Brisbane with Ben Sam
today and we're gonna be converting some cars to self-driving this weekend so Ben
flow so all the way from Canada to participate in this event and make a
video about it so Wayne tell us a bit more about what the event is and what
we're gonna you got it well thanks for coming Jane great to have you here so
what would really like to see is is everyone in the world build robots you
know there's a lot of talk about robots coming to take jobs and we think the
solution to that is if is if everyone makes a robot then everyone's got a job
right so that's what we're we're grabbing a hold off so we've got some
some cars here they're picked up for the the grand sum of a few hundred dollars
we got a few bits of mechanics together we got about 10 people working on each
car we got we got three days and by the end of it they're all going to be
self-driving
all right so these are these are all app tools power tools equipment actuator is
everything you need to kind of automate the systems of a car we've got we
actually rip out the steering column put in a power steering one from the records
so it's yeah it's a complete conversion of the time and the cause we got some
the most serious equipments and off the hits and that kind of thing a few
welders as well so this here is an Nvidia Jetson tx2 and what this is is a
really kind of a common platform for advanced sort of self-driving car
artificial intelligence type stops you know a hobbyist robotics projects yeah
well makes them really cool is that the exact same type of technology and this
goes inside a real Tesla the same kind of CUDA cores same kind of course so we
said it worked on these for a while and then Ken had the bright idea of doing
some real cars and so we just took the same sensors off the top and then scaled
up yeah awesome yeah all right so that's all the tech we're gonna be using yeah I
guess go step away for us the teams to show off and start hacking that's it
awesome wait your horse do it thanks James
the general things to note is we've done what we can to kind of help look after
you but there are serious kind of safety implications of what we're doing the
barriers that you're standing next to are rated to 40 kilometres an hour
they're not all filled so that's apparently going to be fixed in 20
minutes everything that we do it's gonna be BSD licensed or Creative Commons as
applicable so you're all free to do whatever you want with it that means
anything that you bring here any code or diagrams or stuff that you bring here
that you develop here is now for everyone here to do and everyone else in
the world to do whatever they want with safety is like the biggest concern I
have with all of you most of you probably from what I could tell hadn't
use many power tools before I know James has straps and rocket engines to his
hands before and then he burned a face off the dummy so like I don't know if I
trust in me but so I've got we've got gloves we've got glass safety glasses
and got earplugs and you all should be wearing coloured Footwear at the whole
time all the fences are electrified please do not interact with the fences
all the goats are horns and they know how to use them the whole purpose of
this event is to make sure that everyone in the world is ready for robotics so we
want to make sure this event is a welcoming place for every person on
planet Earth
alright so we got an awesome Mitsubishi Colt
that we're going to be converting to self-driving and we've got an awesome
team of nine people here control freaks hi my name is Erin I'm the team leader
for out anima still driving car this weekend I'm a mechatronics engineer and
now I work in autonomous systems yes I wrote here at Brisbane Australia
self-gravity we don't have the seats it'd be a lot easier to work on it if
there's a bit more room in there
can your chair do this
it's even got the original repair manual Wow what years this one I think this is
an 84
sometimes Willie I'm a graduate student with csro in Palma and Brisbane with the
project here I'll be giving the card ability to control the brakes and the
steering at the gear shifts by residues adding more bespoke that we can control
myself
os at the moon I'm a project engineer at Chalmers University and today I'm
working on the electronics and integrating all of our motors without
alright so we're just making the main 12 volt power line that goes from the
battery in the car into the backseat Morosi off for all electronics we've got
some battery lugs listen so be measured on the back of the car in case the car
goes rogue so I'm gonna have to chase the car and hit that back
hi I'm Becks I originally studied robotics and a lot of the stuff I do
nowadays in software so I'm looking forward to getting more hands-on in the
electronics and mechanical science stuff whether whether we cut these off and do
our internals they've got energy to Victor I only got little wrinkles yeah
I'm some this little gate my name's Thomas I'm a QUT student studying
mechatronics and at the moment we're working on some of the mechanical
aspects in the ice and you put well yep that's powering everything what what are
the relays there just for the ignition hey yeah thank you
we only need one food mission is that right yeah and I think the power just go
straight I'm tired I'm a student at UTS and Sydney I've been on the Formula
Student team there for three years now and today I'm working on the electronics
then wearing
you see 19 Nelson Falls around now I love to find something hey I'm James
Hobson and wait why am I doing this interview the oh shit switch works so
you just need to hook up to the Arduino and we've got an emergency off so what
we're gonna do next is we're gonna be making a mounting point inside the glove
box for our main computer we're gonna try and find a way to reroute the air
conditioning fans into the glove box so that we've got integrated cooling so
that we can have our computer in its own self-contained unit away from all the
other clutter and hopefully it'll have not fully there sorry darling and look
pretty nice and well they we need the schematics verify what they actually I
think we when I was Jacko do pussy you know I work as a machine learning
engineer at pinch in Fortitude Valley and I mean it to basically learn a lot
from people have a bit of fun making a self-driving car and yeah just hopefully
make something that works delicious is a damn spider in there
I can't find now I know it's here I don't like space my name is Riley
Martin I'm a freshly graduated high school student and now a full-time
worker as part of the hack Smith team I'm here to just participate in the
event and be as much of a help as I can and learn about the wonderful world of
autonomous cars and you know I'm excited to be out here
that makes no strikes hey all right so we're about halfway through day one of
the self-driving car build and it's going pretty good
I say mechanically we're almost about 50% done that's how you dance yeah where
are they so about 50% done the mechanical build now to actually steer
the vehicle in our remote-control Baja build we have to use a windshield wiper
motor coupled to the steering column but in this case what they did was they've
actually gotten us a whole bunch of new steering columns from I believe Toyota
Corollas and Mazda 3 and new steering columns are actually have power steering
with a motor built in now the tricky part is it's a different car company and
this cars in 1984 so hopefully by the end of day today we'll have all the
hardware stuff done all the actuators mounted and tomorrow will just be a
matter of bending up the software and then taking it for real driving we don't
need these anymore either
hi I'm John my background is in research robotics PhD and machine learning and
I'm here to help where I can on the automotive side but really to try and
bring some computer vision and some of those stimulates approaches to our cool
car the ability to pick up a piece of it just for a two-year-old to do that the
lead robotics advisor this weekend is Peter Corke who's a distinguished
professor at the Queensland University of Technology and his online or box
classes have reached over 90,000 students his goal is to bring robotics
education to the entire world so we're on a YouTube channel called blacksmith
and our main goal is to inspire kids around the world into STEM fields there
is a market out there for or need out there for people to to learn about these
more advanced robotic concepts you considered that for primary school
students and high school students there's a time stuff and it's good and
it it certainly is encouraging and very motivating but to my mind it's more
experimental than principal when you come to engineering you can't just keep
backing to work so if our viewers want to learn a bit more about robotics
where's the head they should go to robot Academy and that's robot Academy dot ne
T dot a you I'll have the links in the description below and maybe some videos
linked in the card annotation all right so it's day two now and the team pushed
hard last night we got pretty much all the mechanical stuff done all the linear
actuators are mounted and there's just a little bit of wiring and testing each
component individually hopefully in maybe an hour or two we'll actually be
able to test the car in remote control mode once we've tested all the systems
like that we'll be able to start working on the self-driving AI
all right since we're going for a Mad Max theme and we don't have the drawers
anymore I'm just gonna remove these sensors here
first turn the lights on when the doors are open and we don't want that because
it's just my total battery especially for do some testing about the engine
running the nice thing is the switch clearly is
bronze the frame literally yam plug it doesn't work
secondly functions that interact with each other you know that's all being
soldiers but always be able to just its delay just in milliseconds yes yes 3,000
you know anything at the end
so but at the moment on the card we have is just the Arduino that's just bad yeah
I'm the computer with the serial yeah yeah but the computer the serial what
the necessary thing all right so to give our car a bit more range we're gonna
actually try making our own omnidirectional antenna to mount on top
of the roof so we actually use Wi-Fi to control it up to hopefully 2030 meters
or so whereas right now we either have to use the wired Xbox controller which
is only 2 meters long to be running alongside the car which you can imagine
might not be the most safest thing to do so let's see what we knew this antenna
all right cigar makeshift omnidirectional Wi-Fi antenna right here
hooked up to a standard router and now we're gonna test it out and see what
kind of range we get so let's go take a walk
that famously can you connect it first all right dropping off it's pretty far
away can't even see it from here lower that's up I'll be higher left left left
left left left left left a bit just a bit more stop there we go
before you right it doesn't seem like I'm pointing at it don't usually either
good but
all right so the third and final day of the self-driving car hackathon and the
teams are scrambling to get these things done almost everyone is up super late
last night trying to work out some of the bugs in the code I think only one
car has successfully been driven in remote-controlled mode I am self driving
mode yet our team is almost ready right now we're just charging the battery and
hopefully we'll get down in the field and be able to test it remote-control
mode and then self-driving mode
hi
like
yeah ah
okay do you need anyone else with you
we have everyone else back now the plan was to also use a webcam to be able to
do basic obstacle avoidance unfortunately we weren't able to get to
that point in the competition now earlier on the weekend GPS data points
were recorded along the inside and outside edge of the track which gives
the car a digital boundary that knows not to cross this event would not have
been possible without all the generous sponsors Telstra provided us with high
quality 4 GX internet and Nighthawk routers Telstra kept the event online
with the world's best 4 GX network the motor traders Association of Queensland
provide lots of equipment and advice for building the cars this include tools and
the Sun shelters neo provides sponsorship of food and drinks for all
the volunteers and participants and provided guidance throughout the
challenge we'd also like to thank BAU raha lidar ethereal capital and
Blackbird ventures coltec provide mentoring and a presentation on their
work in RC and autonomous systems scouts Australia Queensland provide
accommodation for all participants through loaning 15 tents trade tools
provided a discount on all tools purchased for the challenge and bonus
equipment Woodstock provide the space and redbull provided drinks to ensure we
could work all night long and finally we'd like to thank the queensland
community especially Monica Bradley Tony wheeler and Kylie Hickling
we've got this amazing trophy so there's clearly two teams that are kind of you
know grabbing onto one of these wings and trying to tear it in half so I think
we'll have to figure out you know what happens you know this is this is a month
in the making this is not like a year or anything this is a fever dream and
thanks for coming and being part of it we want to make this so much bigger we
want to take us everywhere in the world we want you to turn into into monster
trucks and spaceship everything beyond that if you've got a completely
dangerous we had an awesome time in Australia but it's time to go back to
the cold all in all it was an awesome event and everyone who participated had
an absolute blast now this is just the first of many future events so if you're
interested in try and convert a car to self-driving in 72 hours or less check
out three day robot comm there's a link in the description below

4 Yıl Önce 239 Yolcusuyla Birlikte Kaybolan Malezya Uçağı Hakkında İnanılmaz Komplo Teorisi! - Duration: 6:07.
Hi all friends
I'm with the new video
This video will be a slightly different video
In this video
In 2014
Lost by 239 passengers
I'll talk about the plane
I read this news on the web
I read on the Web, I want to share with you
Videos before you go
Do not forget to subscribe to channel
I look forward to your comments on the video
On March 8, 2014 there is still no news from the western part of the 239-day journey that has disappeared in Malaysia.
What a debris, what an etiquette
It was invisible to the radar after this plane was left, and there was no signal afterwards.
World media and researchers have researched about the plane.
The technology has developed for years, but the huge plane can not find it within the borders of a small country.
Countless conspiracy theories have been put forward about this event.
But what you're about to hear is a bit different from these conspiracy theories.
On March 13th, a young man came to the phone with an audible message with meaningless codes.
Let's listen to that message with you guys.
There are no words in the audio record except for the terms aviation and military, such as "Alfa, delta, sierra, november, echo and fox".
We understand that this message is a secret message, before estimating how it would reach the young man.
Let's look at a message from this genine after sharing these messages on twitter.
The message is written in indonesian, but when this message is translated into English
End conversations about voice recording on the phone. We understand the writing.
Our young friend is sharing exactly what we experienced 3 days before the events on twitter
I was sitting in the car next to my house and a man started to take photos of my house and flash? then walked away, what a business hour was 3 pm, and I think I will die.
Another user who sees the sharing of our younger friend via Twitter reaches a creepy result by combining the initials of the encrypted message
Note the prefix 's'.
This record says it's not a recorded voicemail and it's in a continuous loop.
In the parsed message
Dangerous, SOS, evacuation, very important, be careful, they are not human, 042433964230, SOS, danger, SOS
The numbers in the register are actually coordinates.
Another twitter user is exploring these coordinates.
The result is the Aceh region in Indonesia.
I mentioned in the beginning of the Aceh region video March 8, 2014
It is claimed to have fallen on the flight where the malesian passengers involved in the loss of history. Coordinates are very close to this area.
Is it not interesting to you that it is still not possible to receive news from this remote.
Because the conspiracy theories are on the edge, there is still no news from 239 people inside and out.
Another twitter user says:
He said that the coordinates given were in areas close to the last signal that the maltese plane took.
Well, if we're listening to the black box records of this flight.
Well, why is this message irrelevant to the phone of an ordinary genie?
User who claims black box
this message will go through thousands of miles and reach your friend's phone,
The sun is connected to the storms.
The solar storms,
That the communication systems around the world are distorted,
we often hear why the orbits in the orbit are causing the fault
According to theory, this message is influenced by electromagnetic storms and reaches its destination with a surprising signal.
For this reason the source of the record is unknown.
Of course the reality is not known.
However, there is still no trace of a koskoca flight and 239 passengers inside it
a strange message
and we find ourselves in a mysterious event with the meaning of the message.
A friend who thinks voicemail arrives and life is in danger still lives.
Yeah, we came to the end of our friends video
Is this a real deal or is there another theory?
What are your thoughts
I look forward to your comments on comments

Hello everyone.
Finally, I rented the Bird.
Welcome to our new video.
Right now, we are in our school. I just got a book
It is 126$ wtf.
If you translate it to Turkish currency, how much would it be?
It's like around 500.
Today, we are going to Venice and we are here with a new video for you guys.
We are going to talk to random girls and try to get their numbers.
However, we are going to do it with a different way.
If you want to see the video, please stay tuned.
We came to Venice.
Check the Venice sign, they made a heart for the valentine's day which passed.
Yes we are here to start to our video in Venice
We are gonna walk around and
we will show you how to get girl's numbers.
in the easiest and also different way.
hopefully you like it.
go right there bro.
We will see Yigit's talent lol
I will also have this experience for first time haha
Are we ready?
So as I am speaking, they will probably not guess what language it is.
I will get 2 numbers
You can just give me your number
Now, it's Ali's turn.
Let's see what you got bro.
Are we getting 2 more numbers?
Let's see if they are going to guess it right.
This is the fastest way to get number.
I will talk little more.
I don't know why but everyone thinks that it's Portuguese
By mistake, I said Turkish.
Hopefully, they didn't get it.
Yeah, it's this easy.
I think, this will be the last number.
Let's see this time if she going to get it right.
Normally, they can't know the answer but we still give them chances.
That's it. Yeah that's enough.
As you watched, it's not that hard to get girl's number here.
We got all the numbers. It was easy.
No one wanted to slap us.
We were also lucky that met with really good people.
If we tried this in Turkey, they would all slap us haha
Hopefully you like the video.
Thank you very much for your support.
Please don't forget to subscribe to our channel and also like and comment.
Thank you very much. Be safe!

Great Moments in Irish History with Denis Leary - Duration: 1:42.
(Irish music)
- One of the great moments in Irish history
that I'd like to share with you right now...
1475.
The invention of what we like to call Shepherd's Pie.
Now, if you haven't had Shepherd's Pie, you should.
It tastes good, and the reason it tastes good is because
they cook it with Guinness Stout.
You don't really wanna know what's in there.
And, the Guinness Stout makes it kinda taste creamy,
and kinda gravy-ey.
'Cause...
Really what's in there is...
It's like...
It's balls.
Listen.
When you kill the animal, you know,
you kill a sheep you get a sweater,
and then you get some meat.
And, you know, then when you've eaten all the meat,
there's some stuff left over.
And you know, in Ireland we didn't have a lot of money
for a long time so you had to eat all the other stuff.
So, you gotta eat the balls.
You can't say "Hey, we're havin' balls tonight, kids,
"come in here!"
You can't say that.
You gotta say pie.
Everybody loves pie.
Pie sounds good.
So, you put the balls in the pie,
you pour some Guinness in there, and you got a pie.
Now you don't wanna call it Ball Pie.
Pfft.
Who wants Ball Pie?
Anybody want Ball Pie?
Testicle Pie?
No, you can't do it.
So, shepherds, kill the sheep,
you get a sweater, you're warm.
You eat the sheep, and you got the balls left over,
you put the balls in a pie,
you have a little Shepherd's Pie.
(Irish music)

Gel Press Pretty Planner Pockets Part TWO by Kate Crane - Duration: 6:09.
We have all of these patterned and textured backgrounds now, so this is what I'm going to do with
them. Like many of you, I'm sure, I'm obsessed with my planner. And I love
playing with it and filling it with arty things as well as using it as my, you
know day-to-day kind of planning or bullet journaling. And I've got this
Sizzix die here and it creates this little pocket with these little slots in
and I'm going to show you how I've got a couple I started. I'm going to fill it
with all of my patterned backgrounds. So these things will just sort in there
I've got some ready so this one I've actually cut the window out here and
I've added a little bit of stitching, of course. This one I put stitching all the
way around and I'll have something on the front there. And this one I haven't got
any stitching on. I'll have something on the front there. So I'm going to start
playing around now. Things I've got ready are white pens, little bits of
collage and some stamps. And I've got four, small size stamps because these are
going to be very small, for what I'm working on. A little bit of distress ink just to go
around the edges so don't get those raw cut edges and punches are quite useful
because you can add different shapes to your tags and ink pads so I can do some
stamping. I've got my pens I'm just gonna do a little bit of doodling. If
the background is quite dark then I will doodle in a little white. If it's quite light then
I'll doodle in dark.
I got my rounds texture plate although they're designed to lift paint off the
gel plate we can actually stanp up a little bit with them. Just bear in mind
that the text would come out backwards when you're stamping. So I'm just using
it to fill in the gaps. And this was my second pull off the plate, so there were
some gaps and I'm just filling those. There's a little bit of stamping. I've
got this teeny, tiny text stamp and I'm just going to introduce a little bit of
black stamping as well. So now I've got my first two tags to go inside pockets.
Now I'm going to keep going.
I have a hexagon punch here. This is a great way of having different shapes that still
work as a tag. Just want a little bit of extra stamping on here.
I've got a variety of tags now ready to go into my little pocket. All the different
backgrounds that I created earlier. So I've just cut into strips, even hole-punched
circles. And this one I've actually typed but it's through my typewriter and typed
a little quote on there. I also typed on this sheet music just because it's a nice
color and that's going to go behind that window. And then I can put all of my tags
and tabs in the pockets ready to go in my planner.
I mean it is my every day planner this is where I kind of keep track of
everything. And what I've done in here is on my weekly calendar, I added my little
pocket with all my tags and so I can pull out a tag, journal on it and pop it back
in. Add anything else in and I think that looks great in my planner. For my next
one I'm going to add to, this is my Dina Wakley journal which has got different
pages in. So I've chosen a calico page to add my second pocket of tags to.

The Most Controversial Moments Ever Aired On The View - Duration: 9:13.
Since its debut, the female-led talk show panel on The View has been notorious for putting
everyone, from celebrities to public figures and even fellow co-hosts, in the hot seat.
It's no surprise that the show has seen its fair share of controversy and uncomfortable
encounters over the course of more than two decades on air, but with so many awful experiences
to choose from, it's difficult to pick favorites.
Innocent until proven guilty
At this point, few people are jumping in to defend disgraced comedian Bill Cosby, who's
battling numerous assault allegations made against him dating as far back as 1969.
But in 2014 and 2015, Whoopi Goldberg came to Cosby's defense on The View.
During a November 2014 show, Goldberg asserted: "Settlements don't necessarily mean you're
guilty."
Then in 2015, after more revelations were made, Goldberg defended Cosby again:
"Still I know it's a shock, but you actually were innocent until proven guilty!"
However, she switched her stance following an interview with Chief Legal Analyst Dan
Abrams of ABC News, eventually conceding that about 50 women falsely accusing Cosby was
highly unlikely.
"If this is to be tried in the court of public opinion, all the information that's out there…
kinda points to guilt."
Potty mouth
In a controversial and cringe-worthy moment in August 2015, co-host Kelly Osbourne tried
to make a point about then-presidential candidate Donald Trump's immigrations plans, but her
ill-articulated feelings fell flatter than flat.
Discussing Trump's comments about Latinos, co-host Rosie Perez argued that such rhetoric
was detrimental to dealing with immigration issues in the United States.
Osbourne chimed in:
"If you kick every Latino out of this country, then who is going to be cleaning your toilet,
Donald Trump?"
Osbourne's comment sparked outrage, and she later issued an apology on Facebook, saying:
"I will take responsibility for my poor choice of words but I will not apologize for being
a racist as I am NOT."
"No, I didn't mean it like that.
Come on."
Walters and Woody
Woody Allen and Mia Farrow's adopted daughter, Dylan Farrow, has gone on the record numerous
times to accuse Allen of abusing her when she was just 7 years old, including a letter
in The New York Times detailing her allegations against Allen.
The View co-host Barbara Walters came under serious scrutiny when she voiced her opinion
during a February 2014 episode, sharing that her experience with Allen and his family revealed
no signs of abuse.
"I have rarely seen a father as sensitive and as loving and as caring as Woody is, and
Soon-Yi, is to these girls."
She doubled down by suggesting Dylan's timing was suspect.
"She's doing it now because he's up for an award."
Co-host Sherri Shepherd pointed out that Allen's current wife, Soon-Yi, was also one of Farrow's
adopted children.
"We also know he was with Soon-Yi when she was very young.
Mia had adopted this girl when she was young, Woody was around her!"
The conversation only got more heated:
"The fact that he likes 'younger women' has nothing to do…"
"That are not of age!
17 is not of age, Barbara."
The backlash on Twitter was swift, with viewers accusing Walters of silencing abuse victims
and displaying favoritism.
O'Donnell vs. Hasselbeck
Many of the most outrageous and controversial moments in the history of The View have occurred
between co-hosts.
Arguably one of the most infamous was the on-screen blowout between Rosie O'Donnell
and Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
During a May 2007 episode, O'Donnell and Hasselbeck got deep into it about the war in Iraq.
Leading up to the fight, O'Donnell predicted that getting into a conversation with Hasselbeck
about the issue would result in accusations that:
"Rosie.
Big, fat, lesbian, loud Rosie attacks innocent, pure, Christian Elisabeth."
An increasingly heated discussion erupted about the co-hosts' relationship and whether
Hasselbeck would defend O'Donnell in the Republican press.
"But you are my friend since September…
Do YOU believe that I think that our troops are terrorists?"
The whole thing culminated with O'Donnell telling Hasselbeck:
"You said nothing and that's cowardly."
"No, no, no!"
...while co-host Joy Behar pleaded for a commercial break.
"Let's go to commercial, let's go to commercial!"
Sticking up for Mel Gibson
In July 2010, Mel Gibson's career seemed to be in the balance following offensive, racist,
rants leaked online that were alleged to be recordings of the actor screaming at
and threatening his then-girlfriend.
On a show shortly thereafter, Joy Behar said of Gibson:
"You're an anti-Semite, you're a misogynist, and you're a racist."
Co-host Whoopi Goldberg invited controversy when she jumped to Gibson's defense, saying:
"I don't like what he did here, but I know Mel and I know he's not a racist."
It was Goldberg's personal relationship with Gibson that gave her pause.
"I can't sit and say that he's a racist, having spent time with him in my house with my kids."
On a later show she stood by her statements when called out by guest Joan Rivers.
"You don't like him, that's okay.
He's my friend and I don't care.
"OK.
And the Holocaust happened, now let's continue."
Walking out on Bill O'Reilly
Former Fox pundit Bill O'Reilly appeared on The View in October 2010 to publicize his
book Pinheads and Patriots.
The hot topic for the segment was a mosque that was slated to be constructed near Ground
Zero.
O'Reilly was dead-set against the mosque and bickered with the hosts.
Meanwhile, co-host Joy Behar made bunny ears behind O'Reilly's head and called him a pinhead.
The laughs ended, however, when O'Reilly said that the mosque would be inappropriate:
"Because Muslims killed us on 9/11."
Angered by the racist undertones of O'Reilly's comments, Behar and Whoopi Goldberg got up
and walked off the set.
Making light of stalking
In 2008, sportscaster Erin Andrews was the victim of a horrible stalking incident that
involved a man videotaping her through a hole as she disrobe in a motel room.
The View host Elisabeth Hasselbeck landed in hot water after making light of the crime
during a May 2010 episode.
In the segment, Hasselbeck talks about Andrews' costumes on Dancing with the Stars, saying:
"However, for the past three weeks she's been wearing, like next to nothing."
Then related the crime to what Andrews was wearing, saying:
"I mean, in some way, if I'm him, I'm like, 'Man, I just could have waited 12 weeks and
seen this, a little bit less, without the prison time.'"
Andrews responded by calling the comments:
"A slap in the face to victims of stalking and predators."
The next day, Hasselbeck tearfully revealed she called Andrews to apologize and added:
"I am really sorry and I wanted to offer that publicly..."
Surprise departure
Host Star Jones took matters into her own hands in June 2006 when she interrupted the
show to announce her departure from The View on air, much to the surprise of her colleagues.
She told the audience and her visibly shocked co-hosts:
"The show is moving in another direction for its tenth season and I will not be returning
as co-host next year."
She thanked her co-hosts, the crew, and viewers before sharing:
"I'm not sure what the future holds, but I'm absolutely sure who holds the future."
Barbara Walters later explained to The New York Times that it had been in the works for
months between producers and executives.
She told them:
"They had done a great deal of research, and her negatives were rising.
[...] The audience was losing trust in her.
They didn't believe some of the things she said."
Walters said on the show the day after Jones' announcement:
"We didn't expect her to make the statement yesterday, she gave us no warning.
And we were taken by surprise."
Ann Coulter being Ann Coulter
Conservative author and controversial media personality Ann Coulter appeared on The View
in September 2012, promoting her book, Mugged.
She immediately ruffled feathers when she said:
"Race mongering has been very bad for America.
Liberals use it to promote causes that have nothing to do with Blacks and, in fact, harm
Blacks."
And went on to say that for black people, the OJ Simpson verdict was a good thing.
"And that ended up being the best thing that ever happened."
Goldberg challenged her theories.
"Please stop.
If you're gonna talk about race, at least, at least know what you're talking about!"
And called on Coulter to:
"Tell me how much you know about being Black."
Goldberg continued to be visibly distressed by Coulter's statements and was eventually
bleeped for saying how she felt about Coulter's thoughts.
"They didn't matter whether they were Republican or not!"
"Bull!
I'm sorry!"
Insulting nurses everywhere
In September 2015, as The View panel watched a clip of Miss Colorado, Kelley Johnson, giving
a speech at the Miss America pageant wearing her nurse's uniform, Behar quipped:
"Why does she have a doctor's stethoscope around her neck?"
The social media response was almost immediate, with nurses creating a hashtag #NursesUnite
and calling for Behar to apologize, pointing out that all medical professionals regularly
wear stethoscopes.
The American Nurses Association also responded, releasing a statement that derided Behar for:
"...[using] her national platform and influence to mock Miss America contestant Kelley Johnson
[...] as if Johnson were wearing a costume."
Behar later apologized, saying:
"It's not like I was trying to be funny.
It was just stupid and inattentive on my part."
