Finally tonight, some good news.
A former top aid to New York governor Andrew Cuomo is found guilty by a federal jury for
taking bribes from big corporations.
Joe Percoco was found to be a very influential figure within New York's most powerful political
dynasty.
He was tapped by Andrew Cuomo to manage his gubernatorial campaigns and was considered
to be a third son by the governor's father.
He now faces decades behind bars for collecting more than $300,000 in bribes from political
donors.
Most of that money came from an energy company called Competitive Power Ventures.
They pulled this off by paying his wife $270,000 over the course of three years for what mattered
to no more than three hours work per month.
Prosecutors flagged a $35,000 check made out to his wife from a real estate company called
COR Development.
They said the company's objective was to win Joseph's support for various projects throughout
the state.
It was a pay for play kind of arrangement.
The president of that company was also convicted and is going to join Joseph in prison, possibly
for 50 years.
Further investigations are underway to uncover the full extent of corporate bribery in New
York politics, but no one should be fooled.
It's not just bribery, but the overwhelming power corporate money has in politics that's
the problem.
Politicians get millions of dollars from high rolling industries every year for their campaigns.
In return, they vote for laws that favor them while leaving the public just out on their
own in the dust to fend for themselves.
Percoco's conviction is a good thing, but the truth is we're still a long way from cleaning
out corporate corruption from within our system of politics.

Parents Of Adopted Kids That DROVE OFF CLIFF Wanted For Abuse | What's Trending Now - Duration: 3:22.
A family that plunged to its death over a cliff in Northern California may have
been much more than meets the eye. You're watching What's Trending, I'm

Jennifer and Sarah Hart and three of their six adopted children were
discovered Monday morning in a wrecked car at the bottom of a 100-foot
cliff off of the Pacific Coast Highway. Three of their children are still
missing and investigators aren't sure if they were in the car or still out there
somewhere. One of those missing children is Devonte Hart, who at the age of 12
went viral for this 2014 photo of him embracing a police officer at a Portland,
Oregon protest of the decision not to charge the police officer who fatally
shot Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri. In 2017, the family moved from Oregon to
Woodland, Washington. And the Hart family's next-door neighbors in
Washington have shed some light on why they might have left in the first place.
Dana and Bruce DeKalb lived next door to the Hart's and say a couple of weeks ago
Devonte started sneaking over and asking for food. He told them his mom's didn't
feed the kids, said it was punishment. Dana said one of the girls, seen in these
happy family photos on Facebook, had said something similar before, but she says
the mothers provided an explanation. Apparently, Devonte had been going over
to Dana DeKalb's house multiple times a day asking for food. Despite hearing an
explanation from the parents, eventually DeKalb decided that she had to contact
Child Protective Services. I was trying to help them and protect them and this is the result. CPS tried
visiting the home, there was no answer, and the next day the family left. Their
former next-door neighbor in West Linn, Oregon said the family grew their own
vegetables and kept animals. Though the neighbor said he never was concerned
about the children's well-being, he told reporters: "Something just doesn't seem
right. They were very isolated in the home." And
this wasn't even the first time that CPS was brought in to check on the kids.
Back in 2010 when the family lived in Minnesota, six-year-old
Abigail Hart told a teacher she had "owies" from when "Mom hit me." Sarah Hart
told a social worker she had leaned Abigail over the tub and spanked her for
misbehaving. She pled guilty to misdemeanor domestic assault and served
a year of probation without incident. So this family moved around a lot and
multiple teachers and neighbors had concerns for the kids, which brings us back
to the crash. Though investigators aren't ruling anything out, some details of the
wreck indicate that it may not have been an accident. To drive off the embankment
the vehicle would have had to drive at least 75 feet off the highway. And tracks
at the cliff edge show no signs that they tried to brake before going over.
The Mendocino County Sheriff said: "I can tell you it was a very confusing scene
because there were no skid marks, there were no brake marks, there was no
indication of why this vehicle traversed approximately over 75 feet of a dirt
pull out and went into the Pacific Ocean." Despite appearances, friends of the
Harts say they were wonderful parents and that the crash could not have been
intentional. They put their heart and soul into raising a beautiful family and
taking care of this planet and taking care of the animals. They are just some
of the most beautiful beings and I know they're still here with us in spirit.
We've covered stories in the past where neighbors and people surrounding
families of violence have seen this happening and have done nothing or have
done stuff too late, so my hope is that a story like this encourages you that if
you see something do something. You can genuinely be saving the lives of
children and family members. This is a horrifying story, but let us know what

Disney Princess: I had an abortion - Duration: 2:42.
Years ago, I worked at Disney World, singing and dancing in front of the
beautiful Cinderella's castle. And I would sing songs like "Someday My Prince
Will Come," "When You Wish Upon a Star" and I was used frequently in the recordings
for my voice as Cinderella. So essentially I was a Disney princess.
I ended up becoming pregnant and I made the decision to have an abortion.
And I didn't tell anybody at Disney World I was not coerced from anybody at Disney
or management. I made the decision myself and it was a decision I would live to
regret. And I really struggled. I tried really hard to get back up on that stage
and sing and dance, and it was as if my very voice was taken from me, sort of
like Ariel, you know, in Little Mermaid. And I just lost my balance and I was
having a really hard time on my own trying to reconcile this abortion which
had really left me depressed and sad and inconsolable. So, I quit the job that I
loved the most, and I left Disney I eventually ended up marrying an awesome
man who I call my prince and I had a beautiful daughter, and I became a mother—
—I was so happy to have a boy and a girl. And then I followed up with adopting five children.
Disney does not need a princess who has had an abortion.
For years, feminists have been princess bashing because they really do not grasp
the power and beauty of these iconic fairy tales and what they represent into
our lives and into the lives of women. They don't represent a weak example, they
represent strength, they represent overcoming darkness, and finding their
way into the light, they represent being able to slay dragons, they represent
beauty rising above the ugliness in the world.
Abortion does not empower people. I want to teach children who have come from nothing,
who have lost everything, who have had their own version of living in the ashes,
that they can look to that castle, that they can hear stories about
dreams coming true, about wishing upon a star, and being able to be anything that
they want to be. We've learned so much through these iconic fairy tales.
Maybe the reason why Planned Parenthood wants to rewrite these princess stories is
because stories of evil witches in pursuit of killing off beautiful
princesses has already been told. Maybe they just don't like their part in the story.

LAPD Announced 28 Even Bigger Named Celebs Who Are Going Down With Hollywood Sex Crime.
Earlier this week, Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck said he expects his department,
which already is handling more than two dozen allegations of sexual misconduct by high profile
Hollywood and media figures, to officially open investigations into even more accusations
of assault.
The LAPD currently has 28 open investigations linked to elite Hollywood and media figures.
One of which is the mogul Harvey Weinstein, and a huge list of others such as actor Ed
Westwick, writer Murray Miller, and agent Tyler Grasham. The department also has gathered
37 other sex crime reports that it has sent to other law enforcement agencies as the possible
crimes occurred in other jurisdictions away from the Los Angeles area jurisdiction. All
of the accused have of course denied all and any wrongdoing.
This month LAPD officially established five full-time teams of two seasoned detectives
each to exclusively investigate allegations of sexual misconduct in Hollywood. The teams
even include members of the cold-case unit since those detectives are experts in dealing
with old criminal allegations that lack physical evidence and are affected by the fact that
people forget details of crimes as time goes on. Beck later went on to confirm that his
department is 100% committed to looking into each and every allegation made by those who
feel they were victimized by the Hollywood machine.
The Los Angeles Times Reports:
Wave of Hollywood sex assault claims sends LAPD into uncharted territory
The flood of sexual assault allegations coming out of the Hollywood entertainment industry
has the Los Angeles Police Department negotiating uncharted territory.
Never before has the department received so many sexual assault allegations involving
high-profile figures at one time, including many complex cases that are years old with
multiple alleged victims, officials say.
The department has re-engineered its detective staff to deal with the influx. The LAPD has
established five teams of two detectives to exclusively investigate allegations of sexual
misconduct in Hollywood. The teams include members of the cold-case unit, because those
detectives are experts in dealing with old criminal allegations that lack physical evidence.
Beverly Hills police are investigating 12 Hollywood sexual assault allegations
"They know where to go. They know how to jog people's memories," said LAPD Capt.
Billy Hayes, who oversees the Robbery-Homicide Division and is managing the task force. "We've
[gotten] an unprecedented number of calls."
The LAPD now has 28 open investigations related to Hollywood and media figures, including
mogul Harvey Weinstein, actor Ed Westwick, writer Murray Miller and agent Tyler Grasham.
The department has also taken 37 other sex crimes reports that it has sent to other law
enforcement agencies, believing the alleged crimes occurred in those jurisdictions.
Sexual assault vs. lewd acts
Two main types of crimes have been alleged: criminal sexual assault such as rape, and
the lesser crime of lewd acts such as unwanted touching or masturbation. Lewd act allegations
have proved more challenging because the statute of limitations — the time period during
which a crime can be prosecuted — in California is as little as one year. Other sex crimes
have much longer statutes of limitation. For most cases of rape, it's 10 years.
The LAPD has already established a triage strategy. LAPD Chief Charlie Beck is requiring
that the department perform interviews, and take detailed reports from anyone who makes
allegations, however old. Then, detectives work with the Los Angeles County district
attorney's newly established Hollywood sex crimes task force to determine whether the
alleged crime occurred within the statute of limitations. After that, detectives begin
more in-depth investigations.
Hayes estimated that in 95% of the cases, there is no physical evidence. That leaves
detectives focusing heavily on witness accounts, which, given the circumstances of many intimate
claims, are limited. So that leaves detectives looking for corroborating witnesses, including
people whom the alleged victims told of the incidents when they happened.
Some of the alleged crimes occurred at hotels. So police have been going though reservation
logs, employee schedules and video surveillance looking for clues and corroborating evidence,
Hayes said.
Weinstein has been accused of rape and forcible oral copulation by an Italian actress in 2013
as well as lewd acts by a second woman in 2015. The 2013 allegation occurred within
the statute of limitations for rape, but the alleged 2015 incident is believed to be out
of statute.
Detectives interviewed Weinstein's rape accuser for 2½ hours and are now seeking
to verify the actress' claim by interviewing those whom she told about the alleged attack
at the time. The woman, according to sources familiar with the case, told at least three
people contemporaneously about the alleged encounter. The sources spoke on the condition
of anonymity because they are not authorized to reveal details of the case.
Legal experts said even incidents that occurred beyond the statute of limitations have potential
value.
Under California law, a prosecutor can put on witnesses who can testify to a defendant's
propensity to commit the crime. Here we have many prominent actresses alleging similar
acts. I believe a judge would let them testify if Weinstein is charged with a sexual assault,"
said Dmitry Gorin, a former L.A. County sex crimes prosecutor.
In the case of Weinstein, the LAPD is working closely with police in Beverly Hills, New
York and London, which all have open criminal cases involving the mogul.
"The victims in each investigation could testify in each others' cases depending
on the law in the jurisdiction," Gorin said. "There could be an alleged victim in England
who comes to L.A. to testify."
So far, no criminal charges have been brought against Weinstein.
Besides Weinstein, the LAPD is also investigating other high-profile allegations including:
Actress Kristina Cohen's accusation that "Gossip Girl" actor Westwick raped her
at a West Los Angeles home while she was trying to sleep in a guest bedroom. He has denied
any wrongdoing. An allegation of sexual assault made against
"Girls" writer Miller, who denies wrongdoing. An allegation of unwanted groping made by
"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" actor Terry Crews. Both law enforcement sources and legal experts
said building the cases is going to take time. Detectives will likely interview witnesses
and alleged victims numerous times before bringing a case to prosecutors.
County Dist. Atty. Jackie Lacey announced this month that she has assigned a group of
veteran sex crimes prosecutors to work together to examine the cases and "ensure a uniform
approach to the legal review and possible prosecution of any case that meets both the
legal and factual standards for criminal prosecution."
Some Hollywood allegations have already been closed.
Actor Corey Feldman recently reported to the LAPD that he was sexually abused by two adults
as a child in the industry. But police said the case could not go forward because the
statute of limitations was already up.
But the LAPD praised Feldman for coming forward.
The LAPD knows perfectly well that once this whole can of worms is open and visible for
the whole world to see, a lot of people will be going down because of it. You can't be
in an arena which tries to dictate to the rest of us how we are supposed to think and
act while getting away with crimes like these. Whatever comes of this whole mess, one thing
is for certain, most of us sitting on the right side of the political aisle just can't
seem to stop smiling and snickering every time someone "big" goes down in flames.

so I wanted to show you some of my you know favorite products before
celebration is over so I wanted to show you how I made these really simple
happy birthday cards using the tutti-frutti cards and envelopes said

my birthday was earlier this week on Monday and I wanted to show off some
birthday cards that I received from customers from ladies that are on my

let me just kind of share them with you as I speak isn't this one pretty just
that beautiful glitter paper and this one is just gorgeous she stacked up the
celebrate to kind of like make faux chipboard and made this background just
beautiful and then this one and then here's another glimmer one and then this
really cute Easter card so my birthday always seems to her every so often falls
right around Easter so thank you ladies and um you know guys I really love being
a Stampin Up demonstrator and I would love to have you on my team there's just

random drawing all right so now let's get started with the project so what I
did is I just pulled out the cards and this is how the package comes you get 16
note cards with the coordinating envelopes and like I said that is free
when you choose that is your celebration item
and it coordinates perfectly with the 2d or excuse me with the fruit basket a
bundle as well as the tutti fruiti designer series paper stuff so that's
where I got these designer series papers from now some of these I'm art I wanted
to show you this one I just love I love the strawberries I just the that's my
favorite but I've already run out of this
background so what I'm gonna do is I'm going to show you this background but
instead of using pineapples I'm gonna use strawberries so let me get my items
out so what you're gonna need is a note card and it's nice because they already
come cut and pre-scored and they're white on the inside which
makes it really nice to be able to write your message and then this is one of the
patterns from the 2d fruity 6x6 designer series paper as you can see the back
side and this measures a three and a quarter by four and a quarter and we're
gonna be layering that on top of the card base and we can go ahead and do
that and I'm just going to use snail to do that
so that's just going to go Center that into the the front of the card base as
best as you can and then the next thing that I've done is I have cut a piece of
whisper white cardstock this measures a one and a half by four inches and then
this is just the extra part of the cardstock that I'm going to be using to
stamp the strawberries so you are going to need to get the fruit basket bundle
and in the bundle you get the stamp set along with the four punches you're also
going to need to get night of maybe and real red and lemon lime twist so these
are the three colors that I'm going to be using to stamp the strawberries and
the greeting and then to adhere the strawberries I just used some mini
dimensionals which are the perfect size these things are such a lifesaver I'm so
glad that we came out with those last year all right so let's go ahead and do
our stamping just going to put these away all we need is the strawberry punch
and I'm gonna start out stamping the strawberry and real red and I don't know
why this stamp set just makes me so happy I guess just because it's so easy
to use and the images are just darling okay so now I've put the strawberry cap
on my blog and I'm gonna use lemon lime twist and lemon lime twist and real red
are just gorgeous together it just screams summer to me and with a bean
photopolymer you can see exactly where you need a stamp to put the little
strawberry cap on like so
all right and now we've got our punch but I may need a cut
you're not my thing I think I'm good I'm just gonna punch out my three
strawberries to cut this down a little bit so I can get my cardstock in there
we go so if you have not had a chance to get this bundle or the card pack you
still have some time so I'm always making happy birthday cards and really
simple birthday cards are my favorite just because I can make a lot at the
same time and just be done with it and just have them you know ready just have
them in a basket just ready for me to pull out and just you know um you know
write my message to the person who's getting it and these are just so cute
okay so what I want to do is I want to create a knot on both ends of this
banner or of this strip of cardstock so what I'm going to do is I'm going to
gently just fold it in half and make sure that the edges meet and then I'm
just going to go ahead and not that together and so this way the banner
should be pretty even and if it's not perfect that's okay but it gives the you
know at least it's almost perfect okay and you can kind of come in and clean up
if you need to
let's see here okay that's good and it is kind of bent but what I'm
going to do is I'm going to use a lot of snail which will make it straighten out
and that's just going to go in the center of the card just like that and
before I put the strawberries on I'm gonna go ahead and stamp the sentiment
like I'm using native Navy and I have chosen to stamp happy birthday to you
and that's just going to go down here bottom like that and then we'll put the
mini dimensionals on the back of all the strawberries and I'm not sure if I
mentioned this when I was going over the specials that are ending so my
celebration last hurrah and then the stampin blends give away if for any
reason if you're not like you don't know what I'm talking about you haven't heard
me it had have not heard about my specials today's blog post which will be
in the description notes on this video I will have all the details in the
promotions section of my blog so that you can participate okay and hopefully I
space those out pretty good let's see here it's kind of move this over I don't
like to get my head in the camera obviously so I'm kind of doing this from
a little further away than I normally do okay and there we go guys it's so easy
so simple they're just darling so let me bring in the other ones that I did so
again same design just used a different fruit I did the pineapples here I'm here
here's the strawberries with the lemon lime twist
notecard and this is night of maybe designer series paper but like I said
I've used that all up and then here's the pair's so this is a pool party card
stock base I'm a card base and then this is peekaboo peach in there so just
absolutely darling I just love this collection that just anything small when
it comes to crafting is just it's just so much fun hear me kind of mix these up
there we go all right guys well I hope you liked
