MY PRODUCTIVITY PLANNER [CC] - Duration: 5:15.

Hey guys, what's up? It's Lainey and today is, I think kinda gonna

be a shorter video. Productivity. Accountability.

Two very important words that I feel like go

hand in hand when it comes to writing. So here in the beginning of the year

I decided to, one: start a planner.

Which I did and I'm still up to date with all of it. It's going

really well. Going into my planner is

my productivity for writing

and holding myself accountable. So far it's

been going very very well. I didn't create this.

This is not a new thing. But I saw Julie Dao

who is the author of "Forest of a Thousand Lanterns"

and she talked about this one day on her

Instagram stories and then I was like, "Ok, yeah. I'm gonna do this now."

I do it on my monthly spread here. This is my January spread. To break it all down. And to give kind of a

rough overview of what a productivity planner is.

You create a key.

Which mine is over here of accomplishments that you

are achieving. Mine were in January here,

and I'll get more into this, I promise. The words written.

Finishing writing a chapter because my chapters are really long

for my first drafts. And when I finished a book

for my reading. Then you'll see in February when I show it that my

key kind of changed a little bit based on what I wanted to accomplish in the month.

You correspond a sticker with your accomplishment.

You put it on the day that you did it.

So when you look at over the month, you're like, "Wow! Look how great I did!"

Or, if you don't do a lot in the month, like mine in February.

I didn't do that much in February.

You'll kind of feel bad about it. Be like,

"Ugh, my spread looks really sad. And I wish, you know, it looked more."

Supposed to help with your productivity as well as

your accountability because you want to see as many stickers as possible

on your spread, right? This has helped me a whole lot

you guys. I really love this idea.

And I'm so glad that I discovered it so early in the year

so that, when I finish, you know, when the year is over I

can see everything that I've done.

So now we're gonna switch to showing

the planner more in-depth of my accomplishments.

Just so that you can see how it works.

It's definitely something you can

change so it helps with your

habits. It's helpful and it keeps you on track.

So that't why I really like it. I like putting the stickers on the days because it makes me feel good.

Let's jump into my planner and dissect it a little bit better.

This is my January, monthly spread. With all the dates and everything.

And over here is where I have my key. So in January my

accomplishments were measured by every 500 words,

by every thousand words, when I

finished a chapter, and when I finished a book.

So you can kind of see throughout here that I do

have stars to denote when I made my thousand word mark.

I ave these little flowers when I finished a chapter.

These accomplishments worked for me during the month of

January because I was trying to finish the first draft of

Pair of Prides. I probably won't be using the 500 word marker anymore. You can see

on the 27th I did awesome. That was the day I wrote nine thousand

words and I have that as a

Write With Me, was when I did that.

Because I also finished Pair of Prides, the first draft, on this date. That's why

I don't have anything on for the rest of the month.

I wasn't really writing.

I was preparing to get read for rewriting Sharp Hollows.

This is my February monthly spread.

February I decided to measure by hours.

So you can see on my key

I have, you know, finished a book, again.

One hour on Sharp Hollows and the one here is I was able to critique

for my critique partner. This month was a little bit more spotty

for me. Just because I didn't so well in February

that I thought I was going to do. That, is a little unfortunate.

And that's why I think this spread works really well. Because when I see

the less amount, I feel bad about it. And I'm like, "Damn. I could have done really well this month."

It't not exactly March yet, but I started to prepare the

March spread. My key over here is going to be again, when I finish a book. I'm going to be using these

stars when I reach one thousand words.

And a heart again when I am doing critiquing.

I wanted to go back to one thousand words this month.

Since my deadline to finish the rewrite of

Sharp Hollows is going to be on March 31st.

Seeing all those stars on January really motivated me.

And seeing so many of them. So I am definitely going to go back to that.

For here in March. So it's only the start of the third month

of the year, so, I don't have that much to show you.

That is all I have for showing, kind of what I'm using the productivity method planner for.

I would love to know if you guys are doing something similar to this as well.

So that is it for my productivity planner video. I hope you guys enjoyed this video.

I know it's kind of different. But I am so happy that I'm keeping up with it.

And I think it would help a lot of other people if you are struggling

with keeping yourself on top of your writing.

So. If you guys do this, please let me know down below.

I'd love to hear how you guys track your productivity. And...

I will see you guys very soon. Bye!

Phản Ứng của Trung Quốc Trước Thông Điệp của Tổng Thống Trump | Trung Quốc Không Kiểm Duyệt - Duration: 3:17.

On this episode of China Uncensored,

is it getting cold in here?

Or is it just your cold war mentality?

Hi, welcome to China Uncensored,

I'm your host Chris Chappell.

China reacts to "the biggest, best State of the Union, ever."

It was an hour and 20 minutes long,

way longer than a typical tweet.

Of course, you're just watching to see

if you get name dropped.

And China's did.

Right alongside Russia.

And terrorist groups.

"Around the world,

we face rogue regimes,

terrorist groups,

and rivals like China and Russia

that challenge our interests,

our economy,

and our values."

Now why do you have to be like that?

China's fine.

It won't try to block America's new moment,

as state-run Xinhua says.

But also, if the US doesn't stop

this kind of Cold War mentality,

there's going to be problems.

"We hope the US can abandon Cold War mentality

and outdated zero-sum game ideas,

treat China and US-China relations properly."

Yeah, treat US-China relations properly.

Like, stop talking about intellectual property theft.

"And we will protect American workers

and American intellectual property,

through strong enforcement of our trade rules."

Because we all know who Trump's talking about—

without naming names.

It's about stopping the Chinese Communist Party

from stealing an estimated $5 trillion dollars a year

in American innovation.

That is such a Cold War mentality.

And of course,

no speech in front of a crowd by Trump would be complete

without a reference to Rocket Man.

"We need only look at the depraved character

of the North Korean regime

to understand the nature of the nuclear threat

it could pose to America and to our allies."

Of course the Chinese regime

might agree with President Trump on that one.

Let's just say China is not known

for its environment of open debate.

But academics have been given a free pass

to debate what to do about North Korea.

Of course that courtesy has not been

extended to the general public.

And its seems like President Trump

may have successfully driven a wedge between

the former best Communist neighbors.

According to this South Korean newspaper,

North Korea has banned Chinese retail products.

I guess beggars can be choosers.

So what's your reaction to China's reaction

to President Trump's State of the Union address?

Leave your comments below.

Thanks for watching this episode of China Uncensored.

Once again I'm your host Chris Chappell.

See you next time.

Wanna learn more about American politic?

Well, thanks to the...

about millions comments suggesting we make a show about America.

We made a show about America.

It's called American Uncover.

An Open Letter to People Who Criticize Rioting and Political Violence - Duration: 11:58.

So I was browsing the internet the other day,

and saw a post about how protests are super dumb and super ineffective.

I jokingly commented "That's why we riot, conrad"

Some intellectual responded, "Well, actually, the reason Black Lives Matter is so unsuccessful

is because they're not peaceful.

If only today's activists could find their inner Martin Luther King, Jr."

And Me, being the respectable Leftist I am, responded with a well thought-out point-by-point

counter argument.

It actually got me thinking, why is this line of thought so pervasive?

Black Lives Matter is pretty low on public opinion polls.

Liberals would have us thinking that peaceful protests are the Holy Grail of political action,

and I don't blame them.

Public schools are terrible at political education and paint MLK as the ultimate warrior for

political rights, who wielded not a sword, but a pen.

And classical liberals eat this shit up faster than urban revitalization programs.

The idea is pretty sweet right?

All we have to do is hold up signs and society fixes itself?

SIGN ME UP.

Unfortunately, that's not the case for a few reasons.

It's revisionist, it's ahistorical.

1.Liberals and moderates hated the Civil Rights Movement and Martin Luther King Jr.

In 1963, the Year of the PEACEFUL March on Washington, 78% of white people indicated

they would leave their neighborhood if black people moved in.

On the actual march itself, 60% thought poorly of the march, stating that "they felt it

would cause violence and would not accomplish anything."

About 45% of Americans one month after the passage of the Civil Rights Act became law

were either unsure or opposed to it.

63% of Americans thought the movement was moving too fast, and a majority of the country

thought that black people were hurting their own cause.

Man, all that peace sure was really paying off huh?

What about the messiah himself?

While public opinion on the man was always pretty evenly split during the 60's, it

reached a major low during 1966?

Why?

Did he drop the whole "Do no harm thing?" and start calling for violent revolution?

No.

After the passage of the Civil Rights Act passed, MLK set his sights on another goal:

housing and economic inequality, which America thought was too much equality apparently!

So no matter how peaceful you area, America will still hate you if you try to push for

certain measures.

Here's the thing, you might think your thoughts on BLM and rioting are original, but they're

not.

We danced this dance 50 years ago, and if you're in the "BLM hurts the black cause,"

camp I guarantee you your grandparents thought the same of the Civil Rights movement, and

their grandparents thought the same thing on slavery.

These are historical processes at work here, and you should wake up as to what side you're

falling on in history.

2.The Civil Rights Movement wasn't that peaceful.

Look, as appealing as the narrative is that our country listened to reason and peaceful

deliberation and passed the Civil Rights Act, this isn't true.

It was the height of black power movements.

There were HELLA riots, way too many for me to highlight.

One prominent one is from 1965, the Watts Riot.

This one was ignited by the arrest of Marquette Frye, a 21 year-old motorist.

Street-brawls against the police exploded, as many as 30,000 people were reportedly involved

in the riots, 34 people were left dead, 1,000 injured and 4,000 arrested.

DAMN.

Ok, so the Civil Rights Era wasn't a peaceful time, and Americans didn't exactly care

for the whole "peace and love" thing from MLK when it came down to full equality.

They mainly cared about keeping their neighborhoods white.

But it was a different time, right?

Surely things have changed.

We're living in the modern age now, where logic and rationality prevails.

So, why would supporters of equality dislike MLK or BLM or any other push against systemic

injustice?

Maybe it actually is the violence this time around?

We've established that peacefulness doesn't really matter.

MLK and that football player whose name I can't pronounce were peaceful as hell, but

still saw major backlash.

Short answer: It's bigotry, it's racism, sexism, homophobia etc.

I know, here I go, pulling out the RACE card again S-M-H.

But it's true, have any of you ever tried talking to a regular ol American before?

That shit is hilarious!

I was talking to an older, "I voted for Obama"-type women awhile back, who LOVED

the gays, absolutely, and if her kid was one, no problem!

But letting them adopt kids?

Never, would not vote for it.

The conversation went a little like this: "So you're against equality?"

"NO of course not, but just imagine the kids growing up like that, they'll think

it's normal."

"But it is normal!"

She backtracked, "I misspoke, I meant they'll want to be gay themselves."

"So more gay people = bad?

That's homophobia!"

"But they'll get bullied for having two dads or moms"

"Kids bully kids over everything, what about divorced parents or adopted kids in straight

families?"

"But the gays are so scandalous and overtly sexual…"

And this continued for awhile.

After some time I told her I couldn't continue because she obviously had a deep-rooted hatred

of gay people.

You see clear patterns of goal-post shifting and irrational arguments when debating moderates

and conservatives because the mind of a bigot is filled with irrational hatred and disgust

at others.

So I bring this up not just to pat myself on the back, no amount of arguing would have

changed her mind, and the older woman was my FUCKEN MOM!

[video] She's basically forced to listen and talk

to me whenever I'm home.

Discourse doesn't get any deeper than with someone who has to love you.

It wouldn't matter how gay people protested, for her to agree she would have to get passed

that bigotry, and the only thing that would help with that is time, death and generational

change.

Sorry mum!

Bigot's out, they won't care about riots, they'll be emboldened sure, but they'll

be emboldened by anything.

So what about the logical racists, the moderates.

These people drink the numbers Kool-Aid, who say immigrants in Europe statistically commit

more crime, black people statistically commit more crime, if we open our borders it's

only logical we're inviting MS13 to come in.

These are usually the librarian types.

So some of these could undoubtedly be won over, I don't think everyone that believes

the talking points is necessarily a bigot.

However, if they are really logical they'd understand that: the acts of the messenger

don't detract from the message.

Just because that guy broke a window doesn't convince me that gay conversion therapy is

good.

If you truly do consider yourself an enlightened rational individual, there are people out

there willing to debate with you.

The question of riots and protests shouldn't bother you.

And for the "logical" ones who can't be convinced through rational discussion,

they might just be closeted bigots.

(hint it's usually this one) At the end of the day, there is no rational

rhyme or reason as to why certain people support what they do.

Here's a Congressman who loves free speech saying he'll punish a company for exercising

it.

Here's someone who says black culture is the cause of black on black crimes, denying

white culture is the cause of mass shootings.

People will rationalize any form of bigotry and prejudice to convince themselves that

they're right.

That's why they're disgusted at being called racist or sexist.

They're not sexist, they just have legitimate reasons for why women and men can't work

together in the workplace!

Duh!

So f you lose someone because you were violent against some buildings or threw rocks at the

cops, they weren't actually in your camp to begin with.

And you certainly don't want to be counting on them.

And from what we've seen from the fight for DACA, you can have all the sympathy from

white liberals and moderates, and that doesn't matter one bit.

Recently, stories surfaced on how despite the majority of Americans supporting DACA,

they were willing to discard it in favor of avoiding a government shutdown.

These people aren't the allies you want, because they will turn on you at the first

chance they get.

You might agree with all of this, but still disagree.

"politics is a numbers game, you riot, you lose the numbers, sucks but them's the breaks."

Well, wrong again.

Politics isn't a game about numbers, it's a game about power.

Numbers is one way to acquire power, but as we saw this last election, they don't matter

a whole lot.

A government position is a form of power, so is access, money, violence and fear.

Here's an example of violence and fear enacting political change.

[anthem] I bet your ass LOVES Hamilton.

But that's a big example.

Here's more.

The rioting following Freddie Gray's death resulted in an investigation by the Department

of Justice on the Baltimore Police Department (which actually was my first video ever made

check it out it's rough but it has good info).

The riots in DC during the 60's actually resulted in a lot of changes at the municipal

level.

So here's a request, if your gut reaction to people of color protesting is opposition,

ask yourself why?

No matter if it's taking a knee, staging a boycott, or smashing a building, if your

first reaction to any of these is disagreement, evaluate if it's a misplaced belief that

oppressed people need to follow YOUR standards, because by every RATIONAL standard, they are

doing everything logical in their power to fight for change.

And look, I feel it, everytime I see a protest at my college campus, I think "Jesus fuckin

Christ, again?

What this time?"

We're all guilty of this, and if we're not, then great now I'm an asshole.

But it's a misplaced sentiment.

Any inconvenience I face should be put aside in favor of the movement.

I'm going to go against the grain here and say there are effective protests and riots

and ineffective ones.

Three people screaming in a circle next to the admin building isn't going to do anything

to make the administration do anything, sorry.

This extends to all forms of tactics.

I do think the Left is too eager to be provocative over facilitating understanding at times,

but I'd rather be provocative and lose the bigots than to go unnoticed.

Going back to riots, the ultimate difference between a protest and a riot is that protests

can be co-opted by capitalist elements of the movement.

"Want to resist?

Buy your immigrant power shirt today!"

They lose their power the greater support they have.

The Women's March?

Pride?

March for Science?

They're great for community building and, like, amazing for cardio, but they're not

affecting any change any time soon.

A riot is the rawest expression of the oppressed, it can never be profited of, and that's

why they scare the hell out of the establishment.

When a riot occurs, that's a symptom of a broken system.

A riot should be a wake-up call, that hey, maybe things are really fucked up.

I mean, to the white middle-class person likely watching this, what possible level of state

oppression would drive YOU to take to the streets?

Think about it.

And I really wish I could say "here's a Molotov cocktail comrade, let's pass the

Civil Rights Act 2," but that's not how it works.

The unfortunate reality is that neither protests or riots are particularly effective at change.

Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't.

The only answer is that it's impossible to know the right course of action for an

oppressed person, and if you're not facing that oppression, your opinion won't really

be taken seriously.

And you'll probably be laughed out of the room.

And to the those who can't get enough of MLK, here's a little-known quote from his

Letter from a Birmingham Jail, on white moderates… [quote]

Thanks for watching!

Nah I'm just kidding here's the actual quote!

My March TBR [CC] - Duration: 10:10.

Hi everybody, it is Julie. Welcome back to Pages and Pens. Today I am here with my

March TBR, which is larger than my other TBRs have been however February was

an amazing reading month for me, well on par with last year's reading, so I have

faith that I can do this, hopefully. I do have an e-book read that I'm a little

bit nervous about that I'll get to at the end but this is gonna kind of be a

month of rereads, arcs, and buddy reads. Let's get into it.

[music and intro]

Here is my TBR for March and you can tell once you look at the whole stack of

books that I'm gonna go for a much more fantasy leaning month after my month of

contemporary reads only. So we'll see how this goes.

I definitely want to dive into the world of fantasy again so I'm starting off

with Timekeeper which was provided to me by the publisher Sky Pony Press or

Skyhorse Publishing they're both the same. So this is by Tara Sim and Timekeeper

is a steampunk time travel through clock kind of a thing. I'm

excited. I don't know I've heard nothing but great reviews. I actually have this and

Chainbreaker which is the second book was also provided to me. So I

definitely want to get to the first one. I've heard really good things and the font

in here is rather large so I feel like I can run through this no problem.

Hopefully as long as the book keeps me intrigued and I have high hopes for it

so I think it will. Then I want to get to Station Eleven which actually made it onto

my contemporaryahthon TBR is not a contemporary should have known better.

Believe this is a dystopian spacey kind of a thing? I don't know. It's about a

traveling bunch of actors which made me think it was a contemporary but it's set

it's like post-apocalyptic ish. We're gonna get to this, I've heard nothing but

good things. This is just a book that I've been waiting to get to for a really

long time so this will happen in the month of March. I will be doing arcs. I

will be doing The Price Guide to the Occult by Leslye Walton,, which is like a

soft feel hardcover and it's collecting a little bit of dust.

Leslye Walton was the author of The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava

Lavender, which I loved. So when this is coming out

I grabbed the arc.Yhis is I think a finished copy, like it is gorgeous

gorgeous gorgeous. I can't even with the pages and this

cover there's like a gorgeous fern work in the inside. I'm relatively certain

that this includes... okay "all Nor Blackburn wants is to live an

unremarkable teenage life on the sweet little touristy island she calls home,

but then a mysterious book comes out the islands flora and fauna raise

their hackles and strangers and acquaintances alike begin to sprout

ominous fern tattoos. It's a haunting maelstrom of magic and murder in the

lush moody Pacific Northwest. This is By Candlewick Press who very very kindly

provided this for me. I am so thankful that they did. This comes out March 13th

so my goal is for this to be one of my first read so that I can read it, review

it, and hopefully put up a review right around publication time because this

book is stunning and I'm hoping to love it. It's not that long it's under 300

pages if I'm not mistaken- yeah it's like 272 pages. So I'm assuming I can get

through this pretty early in March and do my review of it. So this is one of my

arcs that I have to read in March really really quickly. Then I have an arc that

comes out I believe in May so I have time but I want to start it early and

that is Furyborn. I will put up a cover for it here.

Furyorn is getting a ton of praise. It is a fantasy novel I believe it's

diverse. I don't know a ton about it that's kind of how I'd like to go into

my books but it's like a 400 page plus book and on your nook that's a lot for

your eyes to handle when I spend so much time at the computer. So I want to start

it now so that I can get it up and get it reviewed on Netgalley and be done

with it. Not be done with it, just move along so that I don't have arcs waiting.

So those are the two arcs that I want to get to is Furyborn and then The Price

Guide to the Occult. Then I have a couple of rereads before I get to

my buddy reads. So one of the things that I want to reread is The Serpent King by

Jeff Zentner in this gorgeous gorgeous quote to cover paperback and I will be

annotating this when I read it. This is shorter than the hardcover looked, it's

369 pages. I cannot wait to dive back into this. It is

just a beautiful book I'm excited to reread it. Cannot wait. Also think that

I'm going to throw in Born Sinner by SL Jennings which is a indie published

erotica that is very taboo and dark and twisted but this is one of the things

that I wanted to reread and I'm just really feeling it. So look at these

chapter pages - can you even? I have the next two books that are published on my

nook so I want to read this so I can continue on to those. These two will be

hopefully read and annotated and they will also be vlogged so that they can

show up in a Throwback Thursday. Even if I stagger with the publication of these

into different months I want to reread those. So that's the goal. Then I have two

buddy read books. One that's gonna be a lot more casual and that is Scythe by Neal

Shusterman which I'm super excited to get to. I actually have not looked at the

naked cover, it's just like red and black I don't think there's anything -oh

there's like this light can you see them? There's two of like those sickle things

on there. So I will be reading this with Chelsea from Chelseadolling reads.

Have heard nothing but great things about it, really really want to get into

it. I know she has this equal Thunderhead- I don't. So I want to read this and

see how I feel about it and then potentially go on and get the other

one. But this one I got on book outlet really affordable so if you haven't read

this yet and you're interested in it definitely pick it up on book outlet. And

then the next book is the one that after Furyborn I'm probably most nervous

about. Like probably even more than Furyborn because I can handle fantasy but I

can't really handle as horror and I know this isn't too scary but I've heard

there's really freaky really really really weird parts to this book. It's

House of Leaves by Dan... by Mark Z Danielewski. I always think his name is

Daniel, it's not it's Mark Danielewski. I have this tabbed up on the top. The tabs

really varied because some of these pages are like nothing, like some of them

have no words. [sings-and then my camera died]

So let's get back into House of Leaves. So this is about a

haunted house and it's files and cases and stories surrounding this house but

like I said some pages are totally blank with like the exception of a couple

words. Some pages look like this where there's like upside down, there's

like different sections. So like over here this is all upside down.

This is a section there's sideways text here. This is different.

This one has to be read in a mirror, so you have to like have a mirror and

there's like all these codes. Like this is a hole- it's it's almost like a

footnotes or a glossary. But some is upside, down some is like in different fonts.

Some is in only red font. Some is here where it's like -it's just it's all kinds of

different not mixed-media really, but like red font that's got strikes through

it. I don't I don't know what I'm in for and I'm scared. I have a friend who reads

a lot of horror and reads a lot of stuff like this she said that she figured out

all the puzzles except for one but was able to get through the book without

figuring it out, and that only one of the scenes in this truly scared her. I don't

know, I'm nervous. If you're interested in joining the read

for this on Twitter is the page breakdown hashtag #HOLeaves. I will put

the hashtag here. Look for this hashtag you'll see my tweet with the page break

down. We're gonna start on March 1st and there's pages for every day and then you

can discuss it with a hashtag #HOLeaves. So I will be buddy reading this

directly with a couple people in like a specific chat and then the rest will

just be on Twitter with the hashtag. We can as a group discuss this read because

I think a lot of people are probably going to be joining in this particular

read. It is one that's intimidating and because there's so many

different puzzles I think the more people we have reading the better

chances we have of understanding everything and getting a little bit of

clarity because I feel like it's gonna be pretty- it might be pretty confusing.

I'm I'm low key/ high key really nervous about it,, but we're gonna get into it.

Another one for the smutty book club which as of right now filming we have a

twitter poll up for and I don't know what's gonna win. I believe as of right

now the one that I voted for is winning. Yeah. Oh no, Professed is winning right

now. So it's like the two in the lead are Professed which is like a

student-teacher relationship or Thick as Thieves which is a unicorn horn magical

fantasy gay wizards. By the time I publish it I will know and I will let

you know either here or in the description

your box down below and also the best way to find it most affordably whether

it's on hoopla or kindle for free. Like Professed, if that wins is on kindle for

free. Thick as Thieves is on Hoopla for free if you're in

the US. So we're trying to get them affordable for you because smut can

sometimes be really pricey. That one will be the ninth book added into the TBR but

these are kind of larger intimidating like rereads that I want to take time

with and vlog, giant buddy reads that scare the bejesus out of me.

We're gonna see how the month goes, guys. But that's my tentative TBR. We'll see

what actually happens in my vlog wrap-up or in Throwback Thursdays, or on

Instagram. You can always check with me there. And then I really am excited to

read House of Leaves with everybody on Twitter with the hashtag. Again I'll have

that listed in the description box down below as well as on the screen back a

couple minutes. So that's everything for March's TBR. Hope you guys are as

excited as I am about my potential reading. Hopefully I can actually follow

through with all this. We will see how it goes. That's everything for right now. If

you like this video be sure to give me a big thumbs up, click Subscribe, and I will

see all of you in my next video. Bye, guys.

Review #39 BLACK VEIL BRIDES- Vale - Duration: 5:21.

Hi, welcome to the next episode at the Music Zaułek.

Today I want invite you to a review of the latest album by Black Veil Brides.

which I mentioned in the January summary.

I promised that such a movie will appear

and today I am inviting you for the review of Vale.

The album is a fully original project of the band.

It starts with a very moody intro

like movie trailers.

Later there are two strong blows

my two favorite songs

that is "The Last One" and a single that you can listen to during this review - "Wake Up".

"The Last One" also starts with such an inconspicuous intro,

later comes sharp, guitar riffs.

There is also something that we like the most, namely guitar solos.

Cool, catchy chorus,

distorted guitars and finally it gives us a great song.

"Wake Up" is a song with an interesting clip

and very intriguing in its pronunciation.

Andy Biersack sings in "Wake Up" about the fight with the system, about the need to independently reach the truth.

According to Biersack, the world is full of lies

and therefore only an independent and responsible and mental pursuit of learning the truth,

what's good and bad and all other things that interest us in the world, allows us to get to know the sense of these matters.

In a moment you will be able to hear another, very interesting song,

song with an eloquent title - "The Outsider"

And what is this song about? This song is about ...

people connected with some kind of religion.

There is no specific case here.

Andy Biersack blames these people for building walls,

for creating divisions and for closing our minds in some kind of cage,

for not allowing us to think for ourselves.

Biersack blames here also those who listen to these figures connected with religions

and take every word of them for granted,

they do not submit any of their statements for consideration.

Andy Biersacka describes himself as the title outsider in relation to all these people connected with religions

or some kind of political movement

Out of curiosities - the longest track on this album, over an eight-minute "Dead Man Walking"

(an interesting title, especially when we know what the song is about)

was created after the election of US President Donald Trump.

If any of you would like to write a research paper on songs about Donald Trump

that's a lot of material.

And there is something to work on.

For example on the last Machine Head album,

the song about Donald Trump, perhaps even more blunt, is located.

Returning to Black Veil Brides,

the album ends extremely pessimistic.

Even partly, small, but still, acoustic.

I am talking about the title song "Vale", in which Biersack sings about surrendering and giving up the fight.

But in order not to finish this review so pessimistic,

in the end I'll give a good rating, because that's what this record deserves.

Four and a half notes on five possible.

Recently we have a good run when it comes to ratings. Keep it up.

Thank you for watching this episode, remember about likes, subscribing to the channel

visit us on facebook and instagram.

You can write in comments or privately

I invite you to all this and see you next time. Take care.

NEO BATAVIA #9: OFFICIALLY BROTHER - Duration: 5:23.

[heart rate monitor] So what happened?

So after picking you up, we were on our way home.

Out of nowhere, there was a car behind us...

[time ticks faster]...so I quickly swerved right...

...and then our car hit the curb...

...and then our car rolled over like this...

...and then you were unconscious so I brought you here. And the car got wrecked.

[heart rate monitor]

Sorry, sorry.

What happened?!

So after picking you up, we were on our way home...

...out of nowhere, there was a car behind us...

...so I swerved right...

[dialogue gets faster]

[heart rate monitor]

But...

...you're alright, right?

I'm fine...

...but you're the one who got a bit hurt.

But, what about your car?

I just told you.

Told me what?

The car got wrecked.

D'oh.

Oh my God, Jason!

Are you okay?

I'm good, guys...

...thanks to Alex.

Hi, Alex!

Hi. How are you?

We haven't introduced ourselves.

- Rubi. - Alex.

- Dudit. - Alex.

Uh...

...so what happened?

How'd you guys end up like this?

Alex will explain.

Right, so we were on our way home after I picked him up...

...on our way, out of nowhere a car appeared behind us...

..so naturally, I swerved right...

[dialogue gets faster]

ALL: What?

So we were on our way home after I picked him up...

...out of nowhere a car appeared behind us...

[dialogue gets faster]

Um, Bi...

...is there a glass of water?

Why am I suddenly thirsty?

Me too.

But you're alright, right?

I'm fine, Bi.

Just a few bruises here and there.

I'm lucky I didn't break any bones.

[curtains open]

This is your favorite.

Are you feeling better?

What did the doctor say?

The doctor says I'm fine.

Just a few bruises.

I didn't break any bones.

By the way...

...how was your electoral campaign?

It's going well...

...we're getting more supporters for our team.

Even Anto got beat during the electoral speech.

Anyways...

...your program is so much more realistic than his.

By the way, was the guy in the bandage...

...your boyfriend?

I...

...don't hate...

...people like you or your boyfriend.

You mean 'gay'?

Yes. Gay.

Just say the word 'gay'.

Don't treat it like it's taboo.

I'm also not...

...homophobic.

I also have friends who...

The point is...

...I've never...

...I just, couldn't believe that this could happenn...

...with my own brother.

People have always treated us...

...as a shame, Her.

Why do you think my father...

...left my mom?

But I've never thought of you as a shame.

Yesterday, I was just...

...caught off guard.

Let me ask you...

...if you were told to choose...

...to not like girls...

...but you actually like girls.

How would you feel?

I hate when you're right.

So...

...am I your brother now?

Or...

...do I have to call you big bro now?

Sh*t.

[curtains open]

ALL: Wooo!

Were you all eavesdropping?

So...

...I'm your brother now?

Hey, this is...

...Alex.

- Heru. - Alex.

Oh!

Now we can hang out together again.

Well, of course, after Jason recovers.

Of course.

By the way, what happened?

How did the accident happen?

ALL: Alex will explain.

Psalm 103 - Enjoying Everyday Life - Duration: 28:34.

ANNOUNCER: THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN MADE POSSIBLE BY

THE FRIENDS AND PARTNERS OF JOYCE MEYER MINISTRIES.

[MUSIC]

JOYCE: WELL, THANK YOU FOR JOINING US TODAY FOR

"ENJOYING EVERYDAY LIFE."

YOU KNOW, I BELIEVE THAT ANYTIME YOU TAKE TIME TO RECEIVE

THE WORD OF GOD THAT YOU'RE MUCH MORE LIKELY TO ENJOY THAT DAY

THAN YOU WOULD A DAY WHERE YOU DID NOT GIVE GOD'S WORD A PLACE

OF PRIORITY IN YOUR LIFE.

AND SO TODAY WE'RE GONNA TEACH ON PSALM 103.

VERY WONDERFUL PSALM.

LITTLE BIT LENGTHY BUT I THINK WE CAN GET TO MOST OF IT.

ONE OF THE THINGS THAT AMAZES ME WHEN I STUDY THE WORD COMPARED

TO JUST READING THE WORD IS THE AMOUNT OF DIFFERENT LESSONS

THAT'S IN, LIKE, ONE CHAPTER OF THE BIBLE OR IN ONE PSALM.

YOU'RE GONNA FIND OUT TODAY THAT THERE'S, LIKE, CLOSE TO

A DOZEN DIFFERENT LESSONS IN HERE AND IF YOU JUST

READ THROUGH SOMETHING REAL QUICKLY, YOU DON'T

REALLY GET THAT.

I THINK IT'S JUST THERE'S SO MUCH MORE THAT WE CAN LEARN IF

WE'LL TAKE TIME AND SLOW DOWN AND SO I ACTUALLY LIKE TO KIND

OF WRITE DOWN THE THINGS THAT I LEARN.

SO WE'RE GONNA GET STARTED.

PSALM 103, VERSES 1 AND 2: "BLESS (AFFECTIONATELY,

GRATEFULLY PRAISE) THE LORD, O MY SOUL; AND ALL THAT IS

[DEEPEST] WITHIN ME, BLESS HIS HOLY NAME!

BLESS (AFFECTIONATELY, GRATEFULLY PRAISE) THE LORD,

O MY SOUL, AND FORGET NOT [ONE OF] ALL OF HIS BENEFITS."

NOW, THIS IS WHAT I THINK.

I DON'T KNOW THIS FOR SURE, BUT I THINK DAVID WAS TALKING

TO HIMSELF.

I THINK MAYBE IT COULD HAVE BEEN A MORNING WHEN DAVID WOKE UP AND

MAYBE HE DIDN'T FEEL SO HOT THAT MORNING, EMOTIONALLY, OR MAYBE

HIS BODY WASN'T JUST EXACTLY COOPERATING WITH HIM THAT DAY.

I THINK WE FORGET THAT THE PEOPLE THAT GOD USED TO WRITE

THE WORDS THAT WE READ IN THE BIBLE

WERE PEOPLE JUST LIKE US.

THEY WERE FLESH AND BONE LIKE US AND SO, I DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOU,

BUT I HAVE A LOT OF MORNINGS WHERE I HAVE TO TALK TO MYSELF

BECAUSE I FIND THAT WHEN I FIRST WAKE UP IN THE MORNING, THERE'S

A LOT OF THINGS THAT I KNOW THAT I NEED TO DO THAT DAY THAT MY

BODY'S NOT REAL INTERESTED IN AT ALL.

AND ONE OF THEM IS I WEIGHT TRAIN 3 DAYS A WEEK AND IT'S

INTERESTING SOMETIMES WITHIN THE FIRST 3 TO 4 MINUTES WHEN

I FIRST OPEN MY EYES, I THINK, "OH, MAYBE I'LL JUST CALL

THE TRAINER AND TELL HIM I CAN'T GO TODAY."

AND SO WE HAVE TO TALK TO OURSELVES.

I THINK IT'S--I THINK A LOT OF PEOPLE WOULD IMPROVE A LOT

IF THEY WOULD JUST GO HAVE A MEETING WITH THEMSELVES

OCCASIONALLY.

SO I THINK WE CAN LOOK AT IT THAT WAY.

MAYBE DAVID JUST GOT UP AND FELT SOME OF THE THINGS THAT WE FEEL

AND HE SAID, "OKAY, LISTEN, SOUL," WHICH IS YOUR INNER LIFE

AND WHATEVER'S GOING IN US WILL COME OUT OF US.

SO HE'S SAYING, "TODAY, WE'RE GONNA PRAISE THE LORD."

AND I LOVE THIS VERSE 2.

HE SAYS, "AND FORGET NOT [ONE OF] ALL OF HIS BENEFITS."

DO YOU KNOW HOW EASY IT IS TO COMPLAIN?

I HONESTLY THINK IT WOULD BE A MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENT IF ANY ONE

HUMAN BEING COULD GET THROUGH ONE WHOLE ENTIRE DAY AND NOT AT

LEAST MURMUR JUST A LITTLE BIT.

I DON'T--WE DO IT SO MUCH WE DON'T EVEN REALIZE

THAT WE DO IT.

I WAS READING A BOOK BY A GENTLEMAN THAT WENT TO BE WITH

THE LORD A LONG TIME AGO BUT HE WAS A VERY GREAT MAN OF GOD AND

HE SAID, "IT'S VERY CHALLENGING FOR US TO NOT MURMUR."

HE SAID, "ALL WE HAVE TO HAVE IS A LITTLE BIT OF FOOD THAT

DOESN'T SUIT US OR IF THE WEATHER DOESN'T SUIT US OR IF

THINGS DON'T TURN OUT EXACTLY THE WAY THAT WE WANT IT TO,"

AND COMPLAINING ACTUALLY IS A BIGGER PROBLEM THAN WHAT

WE THINK IT IS SOMETIMES.

AND I'M GONNA SHOW YOU THAT TODAY.

SO DAVID TELLS HIMSELF TO PRAISE THE LORD.

THE QUESTION IS DO WE COMPLAIN MORE ABOUT THE THINGS WE DON'T

LIKE IN OUR LIFE THAN WE DO PRAISING GOD FOR THE BENEFITS

THAT WE HAVE?

THERE'S NOT ONE OF US, MYSELF INCLUDED, THAT DOESN'T NEED

TO HEAR THIS ABOUT TWO OR THREE TIMES EVERY DAY.

IT'S--I MEAN, YOU ALL ARE WONDERFUL GODLY PEOPLE.

I KNOW YOU ARE BECAUSE YOU WORK FOR ME SO, I MEAN, YOU'RE

THE MOST AWESOME, AND PEOPLE WATCHING TODAY MAY BE VERY

WONDERFUL GODLY PEOPLE BUT IT WOULD BE PRETTY INTERESTING TO

SEE HOW MANY PEOPLE EVEN IN THIS ROOM HAVE MADE IT THIS FAR TODAY

AND NOT FOUND ANYTHING AT ALL TO JUST, YOU KNOW, WE THINK ABOUT

COMPLAINING BUT THEN THERE'S MURMURING.

AND YOU KNOW, THE ISRAELITES, THEY MURMURED WHEN THEY WERE

IN THE WILDERNESS.

THEY--AND SO THEY WERE THERE 40 YEARS TRYING TO MAKE

AN 11-DAY JOURNEY.

FORTY YEARS TRYING TO MAKE AN 11-DAY TRIP.

AND ONE OF THEIR BIG PROBLEMS, ONE OF THE THINGS THAT KEPT THEM

THERE WAS MURMURING AND COMPLAINING.

AND YOU'RE GONNA SEE A LITTLE BIT LATER WHY THAT EVEN

HAPPENED, BUT IT SAYS THAT THE ISRAELITES COMPLAINED AND THEIR

JOURNEY TOOK THEM 40 YEARS.

AND IN 1 CORINTHIANS CHAPTER 10:9-10

WE HAVE A NEW TESTAMENT SCRIPTURE WHERE GOD IS USING

THE EXAMPLE OF THE ISRAELITES TO REMIND US OF HOW, REALLY

DANGEROUS IT IS 'CAUSE I THINK THAT WE OPEN A DOOR FOR

THE ENEMY WHEN WE COMPLAIN.

I THINK THAT WHEN WE PRAISE GOD AND GIVE THANKS THAT WE'RE

OPENING THE DOOR FOR GOD TO WORK IN OUR LIFE.

BUT WHEN WE MURMUR AND COMPLAIN, WE'RE ACTUALLY INVITING THE

ENEMY TO COME IN AND JUST GIVE US MORE OF WHAT WE ALREADY HAVE

THAT WE DON'T LIKE.

SO IT SAYS: "WE SHOULD NOT TEMPT THE LORD [TRY HIS PATIENCE,

AND BECOME A TRIAL TO HIM, CRITICALLY APPRAISING HIM,

AND EXPLOITING HIS GOODNESS]."

SO IF I'M COMPLAINING ABOUT MY TRIALS, GOD SAYS, "OKAY, LOOK,

YOU'RE ACTUALLY BECOMING A TRIAL TO ME.

I'M TIRED OF LISTENING TO YOU MURMUR AND COMPLAIN.

I WANNA HEAR ABOUT THE GOOD THINGS THAT I'M DOING

IN YOUR LIFE."

AND THEN IT GOES ON TO SAY, AND I'M IN 1 CORINTHIANS 10,

VERSES 9 AND 10.

HE SAID, "AND THEY," THOSE ARE THEM WHO EXPLOITED GOD'S

GOODNESS, "WERE KILLED BY POISONOUS SERPENTS; NOR SHOULD

WE DISCONTENTEDLY COMPLAIN AS SOME OF THEM DID--AND WERE PUT

OUT OF THE WAY ENTIRELY BY THE DESTROYER."

NOW, OBVIOUSLY, I'M NOT TRYING TO SAY THAT IF YOU COMPLAIN,

YOU KNOW, YOU'RE GONNA FALL OVER DEAD BUT THE POINT IS, IS THAT

THEY COMPLAINED SO MUCH.

YOU GOTTA REMEMBER, THEY COMPLAINED AFTER WATCHING

THE RED SEA PART, AFTER MANNA COMING DOWN EVERY DAY.

I MEAN, THESE PEOPLE WERE SEEING PHENOMENAL MIRACLES THAT WE

THINK, "OH, MAN, IF I COULD JUST HAVE ONE MIRACLE LIKE THAT,

I WOULD NEVER COMPLAIN ABOUT ANOTHER THING."

WELL, YES, YOU WOULD.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: AND I WOULD TOO.

BECAUSE WE SEEM TO HAVE A LONGER MEMORY ABOUT OUR PROBLEMS THAN

WE DO ABOUT OUR BLESSINGS, FOR SOME REASON.

SO THIS IS SOMETHING THAT WE CAN'T WAIT TO FEEL LIKE DOING.

IT'S SOMETHING WE HAVE TO DO ON PURPOSE AND BE AGGRESSIVE ABOUT.

AND IT'S 23,000 OF THEM FELL DEAD IN 1 DAY.

THEY COMPLAINED AND COMPLAINED AND COMPLAINED UNTIL IT SAYS

THE ENEMY GOT IN THE CAMP AND 23,000 OF THEM FELL DEAD

FROM A PLAGUE IN 1 DAY.

THEN IN VERSES 3 THROUGH 5, GOING ON TO ANOTHER SUBJECT NOW,

TALKING ABOUT GOD, "WHO FORGIVES [EVERY ONE] ALL OF YOUR

INIQUITIES, WHO HEALS [EACH ONE]

ALL OF YOUR DISEASES, WHO REDEEMS YOUR LIFE FROM THE PIT

AND CORRUPTION, WHO BEAUTIFIES, DIGNIFIES, AND CROWNS YOU WITH

LOVING-KINDNESS AND TENDER MERCY," AND I PARTICULARLY LIKE

VERSE 5: "WHO SATISFIES YOUR MOUTH [YOUR NECESSITY AND DESIRE

AT YOUR PERSONAL AGE AND SITUATION] WITH GOOD SO THAT

YOUR YOUTH, RENEWED, IS LIKE THE EAGLE, [STRONG, OVERCOMING,

AND SOARING]!" SO I LOVE THAT, THAT GOD RENEWS

OUR YOUTH.

AND YOU'LL SEE IN A LITTLE BIT THAT PAUL SAID THAT EVEN THOUGH

HIS OUTER MAN WAS DECAYING, HIS INNER MAN WAS BEING RENEWED

DAY BY DAY.

SO WE'VE GOT A LOT OF PROBABLY PEOPLE IN HERE TODAY THAT ARE IN

YOUR 20S AND YOU MAY NOT BE OVERLY CONCERNED ABOUT AGE YET,

BUT THERE WILL BE A TIME WHEN YOU WON'T BE 20 ANYMORE.

BELIEVE IT OR NOT, THERE WILL BE A TIME WHEN YOU WILL BE 60 OR 70

OR 80 AND, RIGHT NOW, YOU THINK THAT IS SO ANCIENT, BUT IT WILL

SNEAK UP ON YOU FASTER THAN YOU THINK.

SO I WANT YOU TO REMEMBER, REMEMBER THIS: AGE IS A NUMBER;

YOUTH IS A MINDSET.

AGE IS JUST A NUMBER BUT YOUTH IS A MINDSET.

SO NO MATTER HOW MANY YEARS YOU ADD TO YOUR AGE NUMBER, YOU CAN

KEEP A YOUTHFUL MINDSET, STILL BE CREATIVE, STILL HAVE

VITALITY, STILL BE DOING GREAT THINGS FOR GOD, AMEN?

AND SO THE SCRIPTURE THAT PAUL TALKS ABOUT IS

2 CORINTHIANS 4:16 AND HE SAYS, "THEREFORE WE

DO NOT BECOME DISCOURAGED (UTTERLY SPIRITLESS, EXHAUSTED,

AND WEARIED OUT THROUGH FEAR]

THOUGH OUR OUTER MAN IS [PROGRESSIVELY] DECAYING AND

WASTING AWAY, YET OUR INNER SELF IS [PROGRESSIVELY] BEING RENEWED

DAY AFTER DAY."

NOW, LET'S TALK ABOUT THE FIRST THING THAT WE SAW THERE WHERE IT

SAYS THAT HE FORGIVES ALL OF OUR INIQUITIES AND HE HEALS ALL OF

OUR DISEASES.

NOW, THERE'S SO MUCH SICKNESS IN SOCIETY TODAY.

BUT THE GOOD NEWS IS, IS THAT GOD WORKS IN MANY, MANY, MANY

DIFFERENT WAYS AND AS LONG AS WE HAVE HIM IN OUR LIFE, WE ALWAYS

HAVE THE HOPE OF GETTING BETTER AND BETTER AND BETTER.

AND THERE ARE THINGS THAT WE DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ABOUT THEM

AND THERE ARE THINGS THAT WE DON'T THINK WE'RE GONNA GET OVER

BUT THEN, LATER ON, YEARS LATER, WE LOOK BACK AND WE THINK,

"MY GOSH, GOD DID DELIVER ME FROM THAT."

HE DOESN'T ALWAYS DO IT BY THE MEANS OF WHAT WE WOULD CALL A

MIRACLE WHICH MEANS THAT THERE'S NO NATURAL INSTRUMENTALITY

BUT EVEN ALL THE MEDICAL STUFF THAT GOD PROVIDES TODAY,

I DON'T THINK WE REALIZE WHAT A MIRACLE IT IS.

AND TRUST ME, NONE OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO ARE SUCH BRILLIANT

SURGEONS AND BRILLIANT DOCTORS AND ALL THE TREATMENTS THEY'VE

COME UP WITH, THEY DIDN'T JUST GET A BRIGHT IDEA ONE DAY

AND DO THAT.

ALL THEIR CREATIVITY COMES FROM GOD.

AND SO, AND THEN I ALWAYS LIKE TO SAY THIS TOO, THE GOOD NEWS

IS, IS WHEN YOU ARE NO LONGER HERE, YOU ARE STILL SOMEWHERE

AND I CAN PROMISE YOU, AS A BELIEVER, THAT IF YOU DON'T GET

THE TOTAL FINAL FULFILLMENT OF YOUR HEALING WHILE YOU'RE RIGHT

HERE ON THIS EARTH, THE MINUTE YOU PASS OUT OF THIS REALM INTO

THE NEXT ONE, THERE'S NOT GONNA BE ONE THING THAT BOTHERS YOU,

NO CRYING, NO TEARS, NO PAIN.

SO THE BOTTOM LINE IS, IS WE ARE HEALED.

OUR BODIES MAY BE CATCHING UP WITH IT, BUT THAT'S

A PROMISE FROM GOD.

AND LET'S TALK ABOUT THIS FORGIVENESS OF SINS.

OH MY GOODNESS.

"ALL HAVE SINNED AND COME SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD.

THEREFORE ALL ARE JUSTIFIED AND MADE UPRIGHT WITH GOD."

AND ALL.

WE HAVE SOME PEOPLE WATCHING FROM HOME TODAY THAT YOU THINK

"ALL" DOESN'T MEAN YOU.

BUT IT DOES.

NO MATTER WHAT YOU'VE DONE, NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES

YOU'VE DONE IT, GOD LOVES YOU AND, BELIEVE IT OR NOT,

HE'S NOT EVEN MAD AT YOU.

HE DOESN'T LIKE WHAT YOU'VE DONE TO YOURSELF THROUGH NOT

FOLLOWING HIS COMMANDMENTS BUT GOD IS NOT, LIKE, MAD AT YOU AND

DOESN'T WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH YOU BECAUSE YOU'VE DONE A LOT OF

THINGS WRONG.

MATTER OF FACT, YOU'RE EXACTLY THE PERSON THAT HE SENT HIS SON

TO DIE FOR AND HIS ARMS ARE OPEN WIDE TO YOU TODAY.

I WAS THINKING THE OTHER DAY, I WAS TALKING TO GOD ABOUT SOME

THINGS THAT I FELT LIKE I'D DONE WRONG, SOME BEHAVIOR ISSUES

AND I WAS REPENTING AND ASKING GOD TO FORGIVE ME.

AND THEN JUST A FEW MINUTES LATER, I THOUGHT,

"YOU KNOW WHAT?

IT'S SO AMAZING WHEN GOD FORGIVES US, THERE'S NOT EVEN

ANY KIND OF A SMEAR OR A STAIN OR A SMUDGE EVEN, LEFT ON

OUR RECORD."

YOU KNOW, IF YOU THINK ABOUT MAYBE IF YOU WROTE SOMETHING

DOWN WRONG AND YOU ERASED IT, YOU COULD STILL TELL THAT

SOMETHING WAS STILL THERE ONE TIME.

BUT WHEN GOD FORGIVES OUR SINS, THEY ARE GONE, NO STAIN,

NO RECORD, NO SMUDGE.

"HE REMOVES OUR SINS AS FAR AS THE EAST IS FROM THE WEST

AND REMEMBERS THEM NO MORE."

ISN'T THAT AMAZING?

VERSE 6: "THE LORD EXECUTES RIGHTEOUSNESS AND JUSTICE

[NOT FOR ME ONLY, BUT] FOR ALL WHO ARE OPPRESSED."

I WANNA JUST SAY A WORD TODAY TO PEOPLE THAT ARE POOR.

YOU'VE BEEN MISTREATED, YOU'VE BEEN HURT, YOU'VE BEEN

ABANDONED, YOU'VE BEEN ABUSED.

YOU FEEL LIKE ALL YOUR LIFE YOU'VE BEEN OPPRESSED.

DO YOU KNOW WHAT?

GOD HAS GOT HIS EYE ON YOU AND HE NOT ONLY WANTS TO TAKE CARE

OF YOU AND DELIVER YOU, BUT THE BIBLE SAYS THAT HE WILL DEAL

WITH THE OPPRESSORS.

AND I LOVE THAT.

YOU KNOW, WE DON'T HAVE TO TRY TO DEAL WITH OUR ENEMIES.

GOD WILL DO IT FOR US IF WE FOLLOW HIM.

AND YOU KNOW, HE'S GREAT AT RESTORATION.

WHATEVER YOU FEEL THAT THE ENEMY HAS STOLEN FROM YOU IN YOUR

LIFE, I CAN TELL YOU THAT GOD WILL GIVE IT BACK TO YOU

MULTIPLIED MANY, MANY, MANY, MANY, MANY TIMES OVER.

I LOVE THIS SCRIPTURE: 1 SAMUEL 2:8 THROUGH 10:

"HE RAISES UP THE POOR OUT OF THE DUST AND HE LIFTS UP

THE NEEDY OUT OF THE ASH HEAP, TO MAKE THEM SIT WITH NOBLES

AND TO INHERIT THE THRONE OF GLORY.

FOR THE PILLARS OF THE EARTH ARE THE LORD'S, AND HE HAS SET

THE WORLD UPON THEM."

I'M GONNA JUST SKIP TO VERSE 10: "THE ADVERSARIES OF THE LORD

SHALL BE BROKEN IN PIECES; AGAINST THEM HE WILL THUNDER

FROM HEAVEN.

THE LORD WILL JUDGE [ALL THE PEOPLE] OF THE EARTH;

AND HE WILL GIVE STRENGTH AND POWER TO THOSE

THAT ARE ANOINTED."

LET ME SAY AGAIN: NO MATTER HOW MISTREATED YOU'VE BEEN,

GOD KNOWS WHAT YOU'VE GONE THROUGH AND HE'S GOT A PLAN

FOR YOUR RESTORATION.

KEEP YOUR EYES ON HIM AND DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME BEING ANGRY

AT THE PEOPLE THAT HURT YOU.

INSTEAD, LET GOD TAKE CARE OF ALL THAT.

NOW, VERSE 7 THROUGH 11.

AND VERSE 7 IS SOMETHING I WANT YOU TO PAY PARTICULAR ATTENTION

TO BECAUSE THIS IS GONNA KIND OF TELL US WHY WITH ALL

THE MIRACLES THAT THE ISRAELITES SAW, THEY STILL FOUND SO MUCH

TO MURMUR ABOUT.

I THINK WE MAY READ THE BIBLE ALL OF OUR LIFE AND MISS THIS,

IF SOMEBODY DOESN'T POINT IT OUT.

VERSE 7: "HE MADE KNOWN HIS WAYS TO MOSES, AND HIS ACTS

TO THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL."

NOW, WE WOULD PROBABLY READ THAT AND THINK THE ISRAELITES WERE

BETTER OFF BECAUSE, BOY, THEY SAW THE GREAT THINGS THAT GOD

COULD DO.

BUT THAT'S REALLY NOT THE TRUTH.

HE MADE HIS WAYS KNOWN TO MOSES.

MOSES KNEW GOD.

THE ISRAELITES ONLY KNEW HIS MIRACLES BUT THEY DIDN'T

KNOW HIM.

AND YOU KNOW WHAT?

WE NEED TO PRAY, "GOD, TEACH ME YOUR WAYS."

NOT JUST, "DO THIS FOR ME, DO THAT FOR ME, FIX THIS,

FIX THAT," BUT, "GOD, TEACH ME YOUR WAYS."

WOULD EVERYBODY WATCHING TODAY BEGIN TO PRAY THAT PRAYER?

ON YOUR OWN, WHEN YOU PRAY YOUR PRAYERS, "GOD,

TEACH ME YOUR WAYS."

'CAUSE HERE'S THE THING TO REMEMBER.

GOD CAN DO A MIRACLE BUT IF I DON'T KNOW HIM, IF I DON'T KNOW

HIS WAYS, THEN I'M JUST GONNA NEED ANOTHER MIRACLE TOMORROW

AND ANOTHER MIRACLE THE NEXT DAY.

BUT IF I KNOW GOD'S WAYS AND I BEGIN TO FOLLOW HIS WAYS,

THEN GUESS WHAT?

I'M NOT GONNA HAVE NEARLY AS MANY MESSES IN MY LIFE AND I'M

NOT GONNA NEED AS MANY MIRACLES ALL THE TIME.

SO MAYBE WE JUST NEED TO TAKE A BREAK FROM THE "GIVE ME, GIVE

ME, GIVE ME, GIVE ME," AND SAY, "LORD, TEACH ME YOUR WAYS.

I WANNA KNOW YOU."

WHAT DID PAUL PRAY IN PHILIPPIANS 3?

"THAT I MIGHT KNOW HIM AND THE POWER OF HIS RESURRECTION."

HE DIDN'T SAY, "I WANNA KNOW WHAT ALL YOU CAN DO FOR ME."

HE SAID, "I WANNA KNOW YOU."

AND A LOT OF YOU YOUNG GIRLS ARE IN THE MERCY HOME RIGHT NOW AND

YOU'RE GETTING YOUR LIFE FIXED TOGETHER AND YOU'RE HERE TO

SHARE WITH US TODAY.

YOU KNOW, THAT'S ONE OF THE BEST THINGS YOU--I KNOW YOU COME IN

AND YOU HAVE PROBLEMS AND THERE'S THINGS THAT YOU NEED GOD

TO FIX FOR YOU AND ALL KINDS OF THINGS THAT NEED TO BE RESTORED

IN YOUR LIFE AND GOD WANTS TO DO THAT.

BUT DON'T JUST SETTLE FOR, "GOD, DO THIS FOR ME, DO THAT FOR ME.

FIX THIS, FIX THAT."

LET'S GO BEYOND THAT TO, "GOD, I WANNA KNOW YOU.

I WANNA KNOW YOUR WAYS.

I WANNA KNOW YOUR CHARACTER.

I WANNA BEHAVE THE WAY THAT YOU WANT ME TO BEHAVE."

"THE LORD IS MERCIFUL AND GRACIOUS, SLOW TO ANGER

AND PLENTEOUS IN MERCY AND LOVING-KINDNESS.

HE WILL NOT KEEP HIS ANGER FOREVER NOR WILL HE HOLD

A GRUDGE."

NOW, I'M NOT GONNA SAY THAT GOD DOESN'T EVER GET ANGRY BECAUSE

HE DOES GET ANGRY AT SIN.

BUT THE THING IS, IS HE'S NOT AN ANGRY GOD.

AND I THINK A LOT OF PEOPLE THAT HAVE BEEN RAISED BY AN ANGRY

PARENT LIKE I WAS AND MANY OF YOU WERE, IT WAS SO EASY TO MAKE

MY DAD MAD.

I MEAN, YOU JUST DIDN'T--MOST OF THE TIME YOU DIDN'T EVEN REALLY

KNOW WHAT YOU DID THAT MADE HIM MAD BUT, YOU KNOW, IF HE WAS

MAD, SOMEHOW OR ANOTHER HE FOUND A WAY TO MAKE IT YOUR FAULT.

AND SO I CARRIED SOME OF THAT INTO MY RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD

AND I JUST FELT LIKE THAT GOD WAS REALLY HARD TO PLEASE.

YOU KNOW, THAT I HAD TO JUST BE SO CAREFUL ABOUT EVERYTHING

BECAUSE IF I MADE MISTAKES HE WAS GONNA BE ANGRY OR NOT BE

PLEASED WITH ME.

I THINK MORE THAN FEELING THAT GOD WAS ANGRY WITH ME, I JUST

ALWAYS DOUBTED THAT HE WAS ACTUALLY REALLY PLEASED WITH ME.

AND IT WAS A BIG STEP FOR ME WHEN I STARTED TO CONFESS

BY FAITH, "I BELIEVE THAT GOD IS PLEASED WITH ME."

AND SEE, WHAT DID HE SAY TO JESUS?

"THIS IS MY BELOVED SON IN WHOM I AM WELL PLEASED."

AND HE DIDN'T SAY IT ONCE.

HE SAID IT TO HIM TWICE.

TWO DIFFERENT TIMES, THAT VOICE CAME OUT FROM HEAVEN AND SAID,

"THIS IS MY BELOVED SON IN WHOM I'M WELL PLEASED."

WELL, WE MIGHT THINK, "WELL, YEAH, SURE, THAT WAS JESUS.

HE DID EVERYTHING RIGHT."

BUT SEE, IF WE'RE IN JESUS, C'MON NOW, IF WE'RE IN HIM, THEN

WE'RE JOINT HEIRS WITH HIM AND WHATEVER HE GOT, WE GET.

SO GOD IS NOT PLEASED WITH ANY OF US TODAY BECAUSE WE HAVE THIS

GREAT PERFECT WONDERFUL BEHAVIOR BECAUSE WE ALL KNOW THAT

WE DON'T.

BUT HE'S PLEASED WITH US BECAUSE WE WANT TO GROW, WE WANT TO

LEARN, WE WANT TO HEAR.

SOME OF YOU WATCHING BY TV TODAY OR MAYBE YOU'RE, YOU KNOW,

WATCHING ON YOUR COMPUTER OR YOU MAY BE LISTENING TO THIS, YOU

KNOW, YOU MAY BE THINKING, WELL, YOU KNOW, GOD IS MAD ABOUT THIS

AND HE'S MAD ABOUT THAT AND HE'S MAD ABOUT SOMETHING ELSE.

WELL, GOD DOESN'T LIKE THE THINGS THAT WE DO WRONG IN OUR

LIFE BUT I'LL TELL YOU SOMETHING ELSE, HE'S GLAD THAT YOU'RE

WATCHING THE PROGRAM.

HE'S GLAD THAT YOU CARED ENOUGH TO RECEIVE THE WORD.

AND I THINK SOMETHING THAT WE NEED TO DO AND I'VE BEEN

THINKING ABOUT THIS A LOT.

I THINK WE NEED TO TAKE THE TIME TO CELEBRATE OUR VICTORIES,

NO MATTER HOW SMALL THEY ARE, RATHER THAN JUST SPENDING ALL

OF OUR TIME THINKING ABOUT WHAT WE'RE NOT, AND WHAT WE'RE NOT,

AND WHAT WE DIDN'T, AND WHAT WE CAN'T.

AND SO, THAT'S A GOOD THING TO REMEMBER.

"GOD HAS NOT DEALT WITH US ACCORDING TO OUR SINS NOR HAS

HE REWARDED US ACCORDING TO OUR INIQUITIES.

FOR AS THE HEAVENS ARE HIGH ABOVE THE EARTH, SO GREAT IS

HIS MERCY AND LOVING-KINDNESS TOWARD US."

VERSE 12 SAYS: "AS THE EAST--AS FAR AS THE EAST IS FROM THE

WEST, SO FAR HAS HE REMOVED HIS TRANSGRESSIONS FROM US."

GOD KNOWS OUR FRAME.

I LOVE THAT.

DAVID PRAYED.

HE SAID THAT "HE KNOWS OUR FRAME."

HE KNOWS THERE'S NOTHING ABOUT YOU OR I THAT SURPRISES GOD.

HE DIDN'T SEE YOU MAKE A MISTAKE; HE DIDN'T SAY, "OH NO.

WELL, I DIDN'T KNOW YOU WERE GONNA DO THAT.

WOW, I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU'RE THAT BAD."

I MEAN, GOD KNOWS EVERYTHING THAT WE'RE GONNA DO WRONG BEFORE

WE EVER DO IT, EVERY WORD WE'VE NOT YET SPOKEN, EVERY THOUGHT

THAT HAS NOT YET GONE THROUGH OUR MIND.

AND HE LOVES US UNCONDITIONALLY.

ONE OF MY FAVORITE PARTS IN SCRIPTURE IS IN HEBREWS

WHERE THE BIBLE SAYS THAT "JESUS UNDERSTANDS OUR WEAKNESSES

AND OUR INFIRMITIES BECAUSE HE'S BEEN TEMPTED JUST LIKE WE HAVE,

YET HE DID NOT SIN."

YOU KNOW, THE BIBLE SAYS THAT "WHAT IS MAN THAT YOU'RE MINDFUL

OF HIM, AND THE SON OF MAN THAT YOU CARE FOR HIM?"

WHY WOULD GOD HAVE HIS MIND ON US ALL DAY?

WHAT ARE WE?

WHO ARE WE THAT GOD WOULD BE MINDFUL OF US?

THERE'S A SCRIPTURE THAT ACTUALLY SAYS WE ARE JUST LIKE

A PUFF OF SMOKE, A MIST OF VAPOR.

THERE'S JOYCE...

I MEAN, THAT'S WHAT IT SAYS.

IT SAYS, YOU KNOW, IT'S TALKING ABOUT PEOPLE WHO SAY, "WELL,

TOMORROW WE'RE GONNA DO THIS AND TOMORROW WE'RE GONNA DO THAT."

AND HE SAYS, "INSTEAD OF BEING PRESUMPTUOUS ABOUT WHAT YOU

THINK YOU'RE GONNA DO TOMORROW, YOU SHOULD REMEMBER THAT YOU'RE

JUST A PUFF OF SMOKE AND A WISP OF VAPOR, A BLADE OF GRASS, HERE

TODAY AND GONE TOMORROW."

SO IN LIGHT OF GOD, WE'RE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, AND YET GOD

SAYS, "I'VE GOT MY MIND ON YOU ALL THE TIME.

I'VE GOT A PLAN FOR YOU.

I'M THINKING ABOUT YOU.

AND I HAVE SOMETHING GOOD IN STORE FOR YOU."

SO THIS KEEPS US HUMBLE, GOD, I DON'T DESERVE ANYTHING, BUT

I'M SO GRATEFUL FOR ALL OF YOUR BENEFITS IN MY LIFE, AMEN?

GOD THINKS ABOUT US ALL THE TIME.

NOW, I CAN ALREADY SEE THAT I'M NOT GONNA GET FINISHED WITH THIS

WHICH IS NOT UNUSUAL FOR ME BUT VERSES 19 THROUGH 22 TALKS ABOUT

SOME MORE REALLY GREAT THINGS ABOUT BLESSING GOD, BLESSING HIM

EVERYWHERE, BLESS, BLESS, BLESS, BLESS, AND I REALLY LIKE THIS

SCRIPTURE.

IT SAYS: "BLESS THE LORD, ALL OF HIS WORKS IN THE PLACES

OF HIS DOMINION."

VERSE 20 SAYS: "BLESS THE LORD, YOU HIS ANGELS, YOU MIGHTY ONES

WHO DO HIS COMMANDMENTS, HEARKENING TO THE VOICE

OF HIS WORD."

SO LET ME JUST FINISH THIS UP TODAY BY SAYING THAT EACH ONE

OF US HAVE ANGELS.

WE HAVE GUARDIAN ANGELS.

WE HEAR ABOUT 'EM ALL OF OUR LIFE.

BUT WE DON'T REALLY, I DON'T--MAYBE WE DON'T EVEN

REALLY BELIEVE THAT THEY'RE THERE.

BUT WE ALL HAVE GUARDIAN ANGELS.

AND THIS SCRIPTURE SAYS THAT ANGELS LISTEN TO THE VOICE

OF GOD'S WORD.

SO LET ME PUT IT PLAINER.

THEY DON'T HEARKEN TO OUR COMPLAINTS.

YOU KNOW, I'M NOT GONNA PUT MY ANGELS TO WORK FOR ME BY

COMPLAINING.

BUT WHEN I CONFESS THE WORD OF GOD, WHEN I SAY, "GOD, I BELIEVE

YOU'RE WORKING IN MY LIFE, NO MATTER HOW DIFFICULT

MY CIRCUMSTANCES ARE," NOW MY ANGELS CAN GO TO WORK FOR ME

AND HELP ME.

AND YOU KNOW, WHEN WE PRAY, IF YOU LOOK EVEN AT DANIEL, WHEN HE

PRAYED, GOD SENT AN ANGEL FROM HEAVEN TO BRING THE ANSWER

TO THOSE PRAYERS.

AND THAT ANGEL HAD TO DO WARFARE IN THE HEAVENLIES BECAUSE THERE

WERE EVIL SPIRITS FIGHTING AGAINST HIM BRINGING THAT ANSWER

AND DANIEL CONTINUED TO PRAY.

BUT THE BIBLE SAYS: "FROM THE FIRST DAY THAT YOU SET

YOURSELF TO FAST AND PRAY, THE ANSWER WAS SENT."

SO WHEN WE PRAY FOR GOD TO DO SOMETHING IN OUR LIFE, TO

DELIVER US, TO HELP US, AND WE DON'T GET AN ANSWER WHEN WE

THINK WE SHOULD, MAYBE IT'S A LONG TIME BEFORE THAT ANSWER

COMES, THAT'S WHEN WE NEED TO BE CAREFUL ABOUT KEEPING OUR

CONFESSION RIGHT AND SAYING, "GOD, I BELIEVE THAT YOU'RE

WORKING IN MY LIFE."

AND SO I COUNT 'EM UP.

I THINK THERE'S ABOUT 12 DIFFERENT LESSONS HERE

IN THIS SCRIPTURE.

GOD'S ALWAYS GOOD; HE'S MERCIFUL; HE FORGIVES; HE HEALS;

HE REDEEMS; HE'S FOR THE OPPRESSED; HE'S NOT ANGRY;

HE UNDERSTANDS US; OUR DECISIONS AFFECT FUTURE GENERATIONS, WE

DIDN'T GET AROUND TO THAT ONE; REMEMBER HIS BENEFITS;

DON'T COMPLAIN.

SO LOOK AT ALL YOU'VE LEARNED HERE IN JUST 25 MINUTES.

ISN'T THAT ABSOLUTELY AMAZING?

NOW, I'M GLAD THAT YOU JOINED US TODAY AND I HAVE AN OFFER

FOR YOU TODAY.

WE TALKED ABOUT HOW GOD FORGIVES US.

BUT YOU KNOW, THERE'S A SCRIPTURE THAT SAYS THAT IF WE

DON'T FORGIVE OTHERS, THEN GOD CAN'T FORGIVE US.

WHAT GOD GIVES TO US, HE EXPECTS US TO GIVE AWAY.

AND SO I'VE WRITTEN A WONDERFUL BOOK CALLED "DO YOURSELF A FAVOR

AND FORGIVE."

YOU KNOW, WE THINK WHEN WE FORGIVE OUR ENEMIES THAT WE'RE

DOING THEM A FAVOR.

BUT WE'RE REALLY NOT.

MANY OF THEM DON'T EVEN CARE THAT YOU FORGAVE 'EM.

BUT YOU DO YOURSELF A FAVOR WHEN YOU FORGIVE BECAUSE YOU GET RID

OF ALL THAT POISON IN YOUR SOUL THAT'S ACTUALLY STEALING

YOUR LIFE.

YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN SOMEBODY HURTS US AND WE SPEND

OUR LIFE HATING THEM?

WE'RE GIVING THEM PERMISSION TO KEEP HURTING US EVERY DAY

OF OUR LIFE.

BUT WHEN YOU FORGIVE SOMEBODY, YOU TAKE AWAY THE PERMISSION FOR

THEM TO CONTINUE HURTING YOU AND YOU END UP BEING THE ONE

THAT HAS VICTORY.

AND SO TODAY, WE'RE OFFERING YOU THIS BOOK.

I CAN'T THINK OF ANYBODY WHO DON'T NEED THIS BOOK.

WE ALL NEED THIS BOOK.

AND WE'RE OFFERING IT TO YOU FOR YOUR GIFT TO THE MINISTRY

OF ANY AMOUNT.

WE TRUST YOU TO JUST DO YOUR VERY BEST AND ALL THE PROCEEDS

FROM THE SALE OF THIS BOOK TODAY IS GONNA GO TOWARD OUR

HAND OF HOPE OUTREACH WHICH REACHES OUT

TO THE POOR AND THE NEEDY ALL AROUND THE WORLD.

SO YOU CAN GET SOME HELP FOR YOURSELF AND, IN THE PROCESS,

YOU CAN HELP SOMEBODY ELSE.

SO REMEMBER, THAT WE LOVE YOU, WE CARE ABOUT YOU, AND

FORGIVENESS TODAY CAN OPEN THE DOOR TO TRUE PEACE IN YOUR LIFE.

THANK YOU FOR BEING WITH US.

D.C. v. Heller - Duration: 5:34.

Mr. Beat presents

Supreme Court Briefs

Washington, D.C. 2002

Robert A. Levy of the libertarian think tank the Cato Institute, seeks to challenge a DC law that made it illegal to possess handguns, automatic guns, or high capacity semi-automatic guns.

In fact, the law, which had been effect since 1976, said DC residents couldn't even keep them in their own homes.

Levy tries to find DC residents to sue the city, based on his argument that the gun ban went against the Second Amendment of the Constitution.

Levy would fund the whole thing. He found six residents with various backgrounds who agreed to sue,

among them Shelly Parker, a software designer who wanted a gun to defend herself against violent drug dealers in her neighborhood.

Levy chose her to be the leading plaintiff.

Also among the plaintiffs was a dude named Dick Heller.

Heller was a licensed police officer who got to carry a gun for his security job guarding federal buildings, yet it was illegal for him to have a gun in his own home.

Heller was passionately against the gun ban and spent years fighting it, even previously going to the National Rifle Association, or NRA, in attempt to sue the city.

The NRA had declined.

In district court, Levy and his plaintiffs had no success.

In fact, District Court Judge Ricardo Urbina dismissed the lawsuit.

However, the Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit reversed that dismissal, saying D.C.'s gun ban was unconstitutional.

The Court argued that the Second Amendment "protects an individual right to keep and bear arms."

They also argued that right existed before the Constitution existed, and that the idea of owning a gun was that it could be used for things like hunting and self-defense.

Not only self-defense from intruders to the home, but even tyrannical governments.

Woah. Man, bold statements there.

Oh yeah, they also said the only plaintiff who could claim damage, though, was Dick Heller, who apparently was the only one who had applied for a handgun permit but was rejected.

The District of Columbia appealed to the Supreme Court, and Heller was like, "yeah, please do."

You see, the Supreme Court had kept pretty silent on The Second Amendment throughout American history.

In fact, it hadn't even considered the true meaning of the Second Amendment for about 70 years, so when it agreed to hear the case on November 20, 2007, it was certainly historic,

which is why I guess I'm making a video about this case. I mean, duh, Mr. Beat.

Anyway, the Court heard oral arguments on March 18, 2008.

The big question was "Did the DC law restricting access to guns kept in the home go against the Second Amendment?"

The Court said "yes."

On June 26, 2008, it announced it had sided with Heller. It was 5-4.

The Court argued the Second Amendment wasn't just about having a well-regulated militia, and that the term "militia" wasn't just those serving in the military.

They said the Second Amendment was also about individuals having the right to have weapons to defend themselves.

So this part was independent from this part.

So banning guns commonly used for protection violated the Second Amendment.

However, the Court added that the Second Amendment is not unlimited.

Not everyone should be able to get a weapon.

It wasn't a right to have a weapon whenever or for whatever purpose.

And the type of weapon mattered. Extremely dangerous weapons, not commonly used for hunting or self defense could be banned.

Really, most of the arguments revolved around the self-defense argument.

For the dissent, Justice John Paul Stevens argued that the Second Amendment doesn't protect an unlimited right to have guns for self-defense purposes, and that it was really about the right for Americans to have weapons for military purposes.

The dissent seemed to read the Second Amendment more as a whole.

Critics accused Antonin Scalia, who wrote the opinion of the decision, and the rest of the majority of judicial activism, meaning their ruling was based on their personal opinions, not an objective interpretation of the law.

Regardless, D.C. v. Heller is the Supreme Court decision that made it clear that the Second Amendment was about an INDIVIDUAL'S right to own guns.

It was a rare time when the Court explicitly said what the Second Amendment means, although they still left some gray area, and the gun control debate is far from settled.

With the unfortunate regular occurance of mass shootings in the United States, this decision remains very controversial.

However, those who want to further limit guns in the United States likely will have more success passing new laws or even amendments to the Constitution, not new lawsuits.

I'll see you for the next Supreme Court case, jury!

I've been waiting to make an episode about that case for a very long time.

But I feel the time is right now due to the recent shift in the national dialogue about gun control.

Do you agree with the Court with the D.C. v. Heller decision?

Do you think that gun laws in the United States should change?

If so, HOW should they change?

Let me know down below.

And I will be releasing my next video on Saturday instead of Friday for two reasons.

One, I will be headed to SXSW EDU.

The second reason is because it will be a collaboration with Khanubis Productions. Thanks for watching. We'll see you next week!

Warum ich SECHS MAL in HAMILTON war... 🤔 | #MikiMalt - Duration: 10:39.

Cheers mates and welcome to a new episode of #MikiMalt

Our topic today is „Hamilton"

Hamilton is one of my favourite musicals, obviously.

So if you're not into Hamilton, you should maybe watch another video.

Or maybe you're just interessted in watching me drawing a something

If so, you can just listen to me babbling in the meanwhile

And maybe in the end you want to see the show for yourself here in London

I want to talk a little about the London cast

I know, a lot of people listened to the broadway album already

It's on Spotify where you can enjoy it. For free!

It's about the founding father Alexander Hamilton

And his life... and how he shaped the country with George Washington and Co. to...

...what it is today.

Well, maybe it hasn't turned out too good, has it?

But what I want to say: When you go to see live theatre

You will never see the same show twice

With every cast you're going to see a different show and different characters

Because every actor gives you a unique take on a certain role

And I'm gonna draw my favourite actors of the London production of Hamilton in their costumes

On the beautiful Hamilton stage

Which is TRUELY beautiful - wooden and with shades of brown

I watched Hamilton 6 times. 3 times with the first-cast Hamilton

Jamael Westman

And 3 times with the alternate Hamilton

Ash Hunter

Hamilton is an excellent example how different two actors can read and play a character

Jamael's Hamilton is very intellectual, very introverted

He always seems very calculating and serious

And sometimes almost cold.

Therefore when he plays those funny scenes, he is INCREDIBLY hilarious!

When he unwinds and acts all goofy.

And due to that contrasting traits it's even more funny.

My problem with Jamael's Hamilton: It's harder for me to sympathise with his, than with Ash's Hamilton.

Cause Ash plays Hamilton tender

And kind and you got the feeling,

He is always caring about his country and his friends

When he recommends to Washington, they should get Lafayette and John Laurens

You know, he does that to do his friends a favour

Everything „bad" he does, he's not doing with a bad intention

But out of naïveté and weakness, he won't try to hide.

It's a very honest and caring Hamilton, that Ash portrays and

That's what I love

To be fair, both Jamael and Ash have changed the way they play Hamilton a lot over time

Both act more multilayered and less extreme by now

Jamael's Hamilton has become more comprehensible,

More affectionate - especially with Eliza

Ash on the other hand has achieved to play out his dominant side as well

For example in the „Meet me inside" scene

When he screams at Washington and gives you goosebumps while he's like:

Or during the Maria Reynolds altercation -

It's so intense and well played, that I'm always sitting there in total amazement

What I got to say: The more often you see the show,

The more stuff strikes you and the more you think about the characters

Especially when you see, how different he can be portrayed

I love Ash Hunter, because he's a super cool dude as well

That's why he's the big protagonist here in my picture i draw

He's super active on Twitter and very appreciative of all the feedback

I think it means a lot to him.

You got to say, that he's playing Hamilton once a week

And Jamael plays him 6 -7 times a week

That's somehow a "disadvantage" that Ash can't practice as much on stage

Regarding that it's even more impressive HOW good and warmhearted he plays the part

It really helped me a lot to be on the other side of that fan-relationship-thing this time

I'm more used to people lining up for us, like on the TubeClash national tour

And I used to think "Why? It's just a hug and a photo. How can that mean so much to people?"

Now, with swapped roles, I got a better understanding for the folks coming to the TubeClash tour

To meet people they got inspired by.

For me that's Ash for example.

He's one of the sweetest and most humble persons that I met here and... yup! NEXT ONE!

We also see Tarinn Callender and Cleve September in that picture and -

This Bromance is real, friends!

So if you hadn't ship Hercules and John Laurens before, follow them both on instagram

They're throwing out the funniest stories!

They're Bros in real life and their bromance even has an own Hashtag

And both are amazing actors on their own as well.

They just spread so much energy on stage

I was lucky enough to see Tarinn all 6 times

Cleve: 5 out of 6 times.

The one time, he wasn't there, the stage had a huge lack of magic

Because he has such a charisma and acts so well - as both John Laurens and Philip Hamilton

I love his:

He plays that so funny and cute somehow

You just want to - aww!

Much appreciation to both of them

And they actually inspired me for a new story

I'll keep you guys updated here on my account.

But it's gonna be cool.

Probably a Manga or a Comic. We'll see.

Next we see Marsha Songcome as Eliza this time

„This time" because, she's actually a swing

Which means, she plays different roles, depending on who she has to cover for

The crazy thing: She plays Eliza, as well as Angelica AND Peggy!

How impressive is that? To know all 3 Schuyler Sisters by heart

And to remember where you have to stand, depending on who you are on stage tonight.

The first time we saw the show, she was on as Eliza

And she was my favourite Eliza. She IS Eliza to me.

Because in comparison to Rachelle Ann Go, her face is a bit softer and tender..?

And that's what I associate with Eliza.

Even though Rachelle Ann Go plays Eliza's shyness very well, but for me, it's Marsha - I don't know.

Furthermore Rachelle reminds me of Melissa (breedingunicorns)

That distrect's me so much xD I look up to the stage and think „There's Melissa!"

That confuses me.

Marsha is incredibly talented, half Swedish and that's why

I drew the Swedish flag...

In my picture.

Inspired by that instagram post.

We met her as well at the stage door and she was super kind and took her time to talk to us.

Oh and we also saw her as Peggy. It was that night she told us, she actually rehearsed as Angelica,

but had to go on as Peggy and was really afraid to mix up her lines or her moves and stuff.

Respect to all the swings!

It's unbelievable that there are some snobs at the theatre complaining, that they won't see the first-cast,

instead of appreciating what these actors carry out every night

That's why - for the underdogs -

Marsha's my favourite Eliza

And I hope, I'll see her as Eliza again one day.

Let's talk about Obiuma Ugoala. He's our Washington and he's

THE BEST WASHINGTON, I'VE EVER SEEN!!

The moment he enters the stage to „Right Hand Man", you're like:

The whole stage is shaking and everybody's like:

He's just...

I've never heard a voice like that

Such a powerful one

With such a range and control over the high notes and the low ones

„Teach me how to say Good Bye" always gets like two rounds of applause. It's just...

Yup, what can I say?

Pure gathered talent on that stage.

Last but not least, my red-coated Leslie G. Bowman

Aka. General Lee, aka. Funniest General Lee ever!

I don't know - he acts SO incredibly good!

And what you shouldn't forget, it's not only that „small" part of General Lee, but

He's also a dancer the whole time

And such a good one, that I often lose myself in his dancing instead of following the rest of the show.

What made me realise,

What a hell of a job the dancers are doing!

The main actors don't dance too much,

And are very plainly choreographed. Except for Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson,

Most of them just stand a lot.

But the job the dancers do is keeping the stage in movement the whole time

And Leslie is a very good example for that - e.g. at the end of „York Town"

Because he's just so avid and impressive in his acting and dancing

He also is - I think, that part's not on the cast album - the red-coated drummer boy

Who kills a revolutionary

He acts with such a body tension and so well - it's one of my favourite scenes of Leslie.

And, ehm... yup.

An incredibly talented young man.

We're done, guys. This is my final picture!

I hope I didn't bore all the Non-Hamilot-Fans

But I think, you could have closen the video, hühühü :P

I decided to do what I feel like doing on that channel,

And if you don't like that,

Sorry

Not Sorry.

I highly recommend to come and see the show, as long as you got the chance to see the original London cast

Come on a Monday, to see Ash Hunter, any other day to see Jamael.

Follow these guys on Twitter or Instagram, you'll find the links in the description,

to know, who'll be on on what date.

All of them are very nice people who deserv a lot of love

I'm looking forward to see the show another sick times

Some people may think „How could you see one show that often?"

But it's more like watching a concert and a movie

And when you get out, you're highly inspired

Not only by the story or the music, but by the amazing permformances of our amazing West End cast.

I'm pretty sure I missed out on some actors, I wanted to mention

Maybe I'm doing a second part and just extend the image to the right

If you want that, let me know in the comments. Until then, see you guys! Chiuua!!
