This week is huge for education in Oklahoma.
Thousands of teachers stand ready to walk out of their classrooms.
So I have a question for you...
What can you do this week to make a difference in the life of a teacher?
Here are a few suggestions.
Call a teacher you know and encourage them.
Being a teacher is tough.
Believe it or not many teachers feel underappreciated.
So let them know how important you think they are.
Call your representatives.
This week our legislators have the opportunity to prevent a walk-out and support teachers.
So, get on the phone and let your voice be heard.
Support local businesses that support teachers.
That's what the Oklahoma Toffee Company is all about.
We're a local candy company in downtown Tulsa.
The mission of Oklahoma Toffee is to support Oklahoma Teachers.
We use 20% of our profits to buy school supplies for teachers in need.
We've given nearly $8,000 worth of supplies so far, and our toffee is pretty great
too.
