Waching daily Mar 28 2018

The horrible school shooting in Parkland,

Florida at the end of February was the

18th in the U.S. this year.

18 school shootings in 43 days!

It seems like it's getting worse.

But luckily, that is Dead Wrong.

I was also shocked when I read that viral

list of school shootings.

But then I noticed something strange about it.

It included any kind of incident where a

gun went off on school premises.

It even included policemen firing their

guns by mistake.

It included kids practicing in a stupid location.

The good news is that school shootings are

more rare than we think.

Since 1996, there has been a total of 16

multiple victim shootings in American schools.

And they have become less frequent.

The incident rate has halved since the 1990s.

School shootings are terrible tragedies.

To us parents and to kids, they're the

worst possible nightmare.

But they're bad enough as they are.

We don't need the exaggerations that only

make all of us more frightened.

My teacher gave me a promise and I want to give you that

promise now here was the promise I got and I bring it to you here's what my

teacher said if you will change mr. Ahn he said if you will change everything

will change for you you don't have to change the government you don't have to

change prices you don't have to change taxes forget all that he said if you

will change everything will change for you and the first thing you start

changing is what your philosophy you start changing your mind you start

changing how you think you start picking up new ideas and information gather new

knowledge make better decisions about what's valuable and I'm telling if

you'll do that your whole life will change your health will change your

relationship with your family will change your ability to cope with

challenges and powers will change I'm telling you income promotions all of it

will change if you will change it'll all change if you won't change it isn't

going to change you can keep your fingers crossed if you

want to and hope they'll straighten it out you can wish for the wind not to

blow quite as severe but I'm telling you wishing for the wind to change in your

favor we call naive at best don't do this any longer wish for a better wind

the key is to wish for the wisdom to set a better sail utilize whatever wind it

blows to take you wherever you want to go that is the philosophy I picked up at

age 25 and it revolutionized my whole life and here's what I found I found it

was easy

got to jot this down my definition of easy meaning something I could do I

[Music] figure if it's something you can do it's

easy now here's a parentheses parentheses I worked hard at it I found

something I could do which was easy but I worked hard at it I got up early and

stayed up late worked hard that six years but what I did was easy meaning it

was something I could do you say well mr. Owen if it was so easy how come

everybody else around you during that six years how come they didn't get rich

here's why it's easy not to how else would you describe it that's it you say

no no for all of the rest of them it was hard for them and it was easy for you

that's not true you couldn't debate me on that in front

of this intelligent audience so you've got the choice here today of one of two

Easy's easy too easy not to I can give you in one sentence how I got rich for

the time I was 31 here it is in one sentence I did not

neglect to do the easy things I could do every day for six years

underline I did not neglect that's the key I found something easy I could do

that led to fortune and I did not neglect to do it major reason for not

having everything you want in America major reasons we're not having more of

what you want in America more health more money more power more influence

more everything major reason why you don't get it

simple answer neglect neglect and here's the problem with neglect that starts as

an infection and if you don't take care of it it becomes a disease and here's

what else is the problem one neglect leads to another neglect to do wise

things with your money you probably didn't get to do wise things with your

time neglect to do wise things with your time

probably the gut to do wise things with your business one leads to another leads

to another pretty soon neglect has you by the throat emptying your purse

emptying your heart emptying all of your chances for equities and power and all

the good things neglect what if you should be walking around the block every

day for your good health and you don't I'm telling you you're on the wrong

track you should do it you could do it you don't do it that's called formula

for disaster all you've got to do is let that and a few other things accumulate

for six years and now you're driving what you don't want to drive wearing

what you don't want to wear living where you don't want to live doing what you

don't want to do maybe having become what you really didn't want to become

I'm telling that's it just neglect along drift along and it's got you by the

throat it'll take all your values leave you with just a little bit of dust in a

summer wind and it'll soon be gone I hope I said that well that's it that's

when I found myself at age 25 until my teacher came along and said mr. Owen up

until now you've messed up let's see if we can't clean that up change it all I

did change my life not just the money all the rest of the

values that came pouring in when I understood that it was me it was me so

take the easy approach this stuff's easy to figure out getting rich is easy I

teach it to teenagers how to be rich by 40 35 if you're extra bright this stuff

is not difficult [Music]

greatness is about making things better greatness is about getting better you

know when we were kids granny used to say good better best and never let it

rest until your good is better and your better is best you know so for me

greatness is about nobody knows Eric Thomas

nobody knows what I'm capable of but I know what I'm capable of and getting

better every single day never saying well I got a PhD so I'm finished you

know I've got a video a few videos that went viral most people have never done

that I'm doing good I wrote three books I'm good no no Eric you know you know at

the end of the day when you lay your head down to sleep you know when you've

given your best you know when you've gotten better and and and greatness is

challenging the today.you and the future you saying you can get better you're

grinding or money grinding or cheesy grinding on Wednesday if you're grinding

six seven days a week for span of five or six years something's got to come out

of it and I think if we would spend more time on what's my goal you know meaning

what do I need to accomplish in this day to live this lifestyle and you go after

it and I'm not saying you should have goals no I just think that goes for

people is too high on the priority list and I think what should be on the

priority list is go on to bed so you can wake up the next day and you can grind

it out

it's possible I can do this I can make this happen no matter how bad it is or

how bad it gets I'm going to make it it's possible yes your dream is possible

say that to yourself every day feed your mind with words that you write in words

that you hear and words that you speak to yourself feed your faith and your

doubts will starve to death say to yourself it's possible it's

possible it's possible even when you have no evidence to point to say to

yourself it's a--there's nothing as powerful as a maid it's a struggle some

time to do that especially when you have people around you telling you that it's

not possible that you can't do it and they're constantly pointing out your

failures of the past constantly reminding you of all of the things that

you don't have going for you I'm reminded of the story of the two little

boys that were playing in Punta mais during the winter

and and and as they got further out on this ice one fell through the the thin

ice and and so the little fellow that was still on top of the ice he was

trying to save his little buddy and he couldn't reach him he was trying to pull

him he could see him through the thin ice as it got further away from him

struggling and and he couldn't reach him and he's trying to break the ice and he

couldn't do it he looked around and he saw a tree in the distance in Iran and

in he got up on the tree and he pulled and broke down an enormous size branch

and came back and and savagely begin to beat that ice and broke it and and

miraculously he saved his friend and when the paramedics came and they were

able to revive this little boy they were scratching their heads they're

trying to figure this out said how could this little pruney fellow go up in a

tree and break off a branch this size and then come back and beat and break

the ice and save his friend they thought it was just miraculous

baffling and an old guy who was there said I can tell you how he did and it

said how could he do it and he said there was no one here to tell him

what could you do what could I do what could all of us do if we did not have

the naysayers in our lives that that we believed naively like that little boy

that it was possible what would you do if if failure was not on the table

Chinese Wushu Duanwei System

Approved by Chinese Wushu Association.

Examination Criteria of Technique of

Chinese Wushu Duanwei System

Tai chi - taiji, short for t'ai chi chüan (taijiquan; 太极拳),

is an internal Chinese martial art

practiced for both its defense training and its health benefits.

The term taiji refers to a philosophy

of the forces of yin and yang, related to the moves.

originally conceived as a martial art,

it is also typically practiced for a variety of other personal reasons:

competitive wrestling in the format of pushing hands tui shou,

demonstration competitions,

and achieving greater longevity.

As a result, a multitude of training forms exist,

both traditional and modern,

correspond to those aims with differing emphasis.

Some training forms of tàijíquan

are especially known for being practiced

with relatively slow movements.

Mysteries Of The Human Body That Haven't Been Explained - Duration: 4:26.

In many ways, the human body is a magnificent work of nature — and scientists have been

hard at work uncovering its many mysteries.

Yet when it comes to some basic body functions, and certain unique body parts, we still haven't

found definite explanations for them.

Let's take a look at some of the proposed answers for these mysteries of the human body.

The appendix

Scientists and doctors aren't totally sure what the small, 3.5-inch tube inside our bodies

does, and it's well documented that we can live without it.

So, why do we even have it?

The traditional explanation was that the appendix was used by our evolutionary ancestors and

then just left over in the body.

But some scientists, like Loren G. Martin, professor of physiology at Oklahoma State

University, suggest the appendix serves an important role in the development of the fetus,

producing all kinds of compounds that keep the body running well.

Martin notes that the appendix appears to be most useful as a replacement urinary sphincter

if someone has their urinary bladder removed… but we have a feeling nature didn't exactly

intend for that to be its primary role.

Big breasts

Have you ever noticed that humans are the only ones with, generally speaking, permanently

enlarged breasts?

The reason why is still a mystery.

It could just be that male ancestors liked plump, symmetrical breasts, so evolution selected

for them.

But some believe the human breast is the result of evolution pertaining to lactation.

Florence Williams, author of Breasts: A Natural and Unnatural History, believes that big boobs

are probably a result of natural selection pertaining to both male sexual preference

and ease of lactation, telling Salon,

"It could be that that attraction came later or was secondary, and it's never really been

satisfactorily proven that all men in all cultures across all times are obsessed with

breasts."

Blushing

In The Expression of the Emotions in Man and Animals, Charles Darwin called blushing:

"...the most peculiar and most human of all expressions."

Aside from the basic fact that blushing is blood rushing to the surface of the skin,

it remains quite a conundrum in the study of human physiology and psychology.

According to Time magazine, one theory is that blushing is somewhat of a built-in lie

detector, signaling sincerity, likeability, and trustworthiness.

Various other theories suggest blushing is an involuntary, nonverbal form of communication,

signaling something is wrong with a situation.

One thing seemingly all theories agree with is that blushing is seen socially as positive,

and not negative, as frequent blushers might believe.

Right-handedness

We all know more people are right-handed than left-handed.

You most certainly learned that in elementary school, when you noticed that only a couple

weirdos held their pencils in their left hands.

Sorry, southpaws — we're actually just jealous because you lefties naturally have the upper

hand in baseball.

It's possible that hand-preference is genetic, but according to Scientific American, there's

no way way to predict a kid's handedness by looking at their parents.

More plausibly, handedness can be heavily influenced by social and cultural mechanisms,

such as in school, with some teachers forbidding the learning of left-handed writing.

Whatever the reason, dominant right-handedness is probably here to stay.

Dreaming

We can all agree that we know what dreams are, yet no one really knows why we have them.

Darren M. Lipnicki from the Center for Space Medicine Berlin has argued that Earth's geomagnetic

field is responsible for the "bizarreness" of our dreams — but, unsurprisingly, further

research is required to prove this out-of-this-world idea.

Sigmund Freud suggested that dreams represent our hidden desires, while Scientific American

reported another hypothesis claiming dreams act as a simulation, preparing us for real-life

threatening situations.

Some psychologists believe dreams regulate our long-term moods or act as our brain's

way of cataloguing daily memories.

Yawning

The theory that yawning is the body's attempt to get more oxygen into the blood has been

all but discarded.

Instead, University at Albany psychology professor Gordon Gallup claims that the things we associate

with causing yawns — like not getting enough sleep — cause the brain to run hot, requiring

our body to turn up the AC.

When we yawn, the hotter blood in the brain is theoretically replaced with the heart's

cooler blood.

Sounds fair enough, but this idea has yet to be proven, and not everyone is buying it.

Scientists are pretty sure, however, that yawning is one of our most primitive, unconscious

bodily functions.

According to The New Yorker, fetuses yawn during the first trimester in the womb.

Oh, and if you're prone to long, extended yawns, rejoice!

According to Scientific American, big yawns correlate with big brains.

So, you're not rude — you're a genius!

Trung Quốc "Không Bí Mật" Phát Triển Súng Điện Từ Mật | Trung Quốc Không Kiểm Duyệt - Duration: 6:48.

On this episode of China Uncensored,

The Pope appoints new state-approved bishops in China.

And they have a secret.

The Chinese military is building a secret new super gun.

But they kinda want you to know about it, too.

And who says you can't have a national ski team,

just because you don't have any skiiers.

Or snow.

This is China Uncensored.

Hi, welcome to China Uncensored,

I'm your host Chris Chappell.

Pope Francis is being praised by my favorite Chinese state-run media,

the Global Times,

for his wisdom.

That wisdom apparently involves

selling out Chinese Catholics

by giving in to the demands of the atheist Chinese Communist Party.

According to a senior Vatican source speaking to Reuters,

"A framework accord between the Vatican and China

on the appointment of bishops

is ready and could be signed in a few months."

We've covered how the Pope recently

asked two Chinese bishops to either retire

or step aside for two other bishops

approved of by the Chinese Communist Party.

And yes,

one of them had been excommunicated.

But I guess he's being...re-communicated.

And now, there's a total of 7 Chinese state-approved bishops

the Pope is considering approving.

Two of them apparently have families.

Look, I know what you're thinking:

Catholic bishops aren't supposed to be married.

Well, don't worry.

They're not.

They just have just mistresses.

And deep in the Pacific Ocean,

the Chinese regime is placing acoustic sensors.

They "could be used to study oceans"...

and definitely not anything else.

Those acoustic listening devices

are in no way related to the nearby US military base in Guam.

Neither are they some kind of attempt

to track foreign ships.

So don't even go there.

And in a totally unrelated matter,

the Philippines has changed its mind

about joint undersea exploration with China.

I mean yes,

the Philippines and China have competing claims

to territory in the South China Sea,

but this is a perfectly friendly decision.

But, you know,

the Philippines will also "chase off foreign ships

conducting research in its territorial waters."

Yeah, foreign ships.

From any country.

That includes China.

And in another a totally unrelated matter,

China might be testing the world's first ship-mounted rail gun.

A rail gun is an electromagnetic weapon

with the power to sink a warship

and the precision to shoot down a satellite.

For scientific purposes of course.

The US is also testing rail guns.

Those can fire a round at about 5,000 miles per hour

hitting a target almost 100 miles away.

The catch—each round costs about million dollars.

But rail guns aren't the only weapons that are a threat.

North Korea is now just a few months away

from being able to hit the US with a nuke.

And it seems nuclear proliferation

is making a comeback everywhere!

I read it in the New York Times Style section.

According to U.S. disarmament ambassador Robert Wood,

China and Russia are also pushing nuclear development.

You get a nuke!

You get a nuke!

Everybody gets a nuke!

This comes shortly after a statement by the Pentagon

that China and Russia are becoming a greater threat

than Islamic terrorism.

But the Pentagon is known for making the occasional snafu.

In a report about the China nuclear threat,

they may have referred to Taiwan

as a part of China…

Let's just hope they don't nuke the wrong country...

slash region.

And Mercedes-Benz has also just made a huge mistake.

They published an Instagram post with a quote

from that "wolf in monk's robes,"

the Dalai Lama.

In response, Chinese state-run media

decided to maintain a dignified silence

on the issue.

Just kidding.

Again.

They called Mercedes an enemy

of the Chinese people.

After an outcry from Chinese customers,

Mercedes apologized.

Twice.

They also replaced the ad with this new one.

What's that, Shelley?

That's not a real Mao quote?!

I guess Mercedes-Benz is going to have to issue a third apology.

In other news,

Sweden has been having bad luck

when it comes to keeping its citizens

from being abducted by Chinese authorities.

So the Swedish government has taken a novel approach

that no one else seems to try anymore.

Calling China out.

They're condemning the brutal detention of Gui Minhai,

who is a Swedish citizen.

This is what Sweden's foreign minister had to say:

"Mmm bork bork bork!"

Truly scathing words.

Ok, the foreign minister called it

a "brutal intervention"

and demand Gui Minhai be released.

Gui Minhai was "picked up by plainclothes agents

on January 20th as he travelled on a train to Beijing

with two Swedish diplomats."

I feel like the diplomats should have intervened.

But I guess that wouldn't have been very diplomatic, would it?

Gui Minhai was one of the Hong Kong booksellers

who had in the past been detained for publishing

controversial books about Chinese leader Xi Jinping.

He spent two years in detention,

even though—again—

he is a Swedish citizen.

The Chinese Communist Party

doesn't really recognize dual citizenship.

And finally, do you like skiing?

Doesn't matter.

When the government calls on you to like something,

you had better like it!

The Chinese Communist Party has decided

China should do better in the Winter Olympics,

since it's going to be held in Beijing

just four years from now.

So the Party is pushing

"300 million people into winter sports by [2022]

with at least 800 ski resorts,

nearly double the current number."

And if there's no snow on those mountains—

because it barely snows in Beijing—

no problem!

They'll just load it up with fake snow.

Because even though skiing is just a sport,

that doesn't mean you don't have to be miserable doing it.

Those were this week's biggest China headlines!

HOW TO COME UP WITH YOUTUBE VIDEO IDEAS - Duration: 8:00.

I am super sick, but super excited about this video.

I just put out a video a couple days ago.

Again, I was super sick, which is why these videos this week or just not as planned as

I normally would make them.

My last video I asked questions about what kind of videos you wanted because I just hit

500 subscribers.

I have been super stoked about that and I wanted to go through your questions and say,

Hey, what is it that you want to see on my channel?

What videos do you like?

I can look at the analytics all day.

I can read your comments and all of these things play a role in my video ideas.

So speaking of which one of the questions that I was asked in the last video, thank

you for asking, can you make youtube a youtube ideas video because I can't find any that

I can actually do.

Well, there's tons of ideas out there.

One video idea is something where you kind of comment back to other people's videos.

So that's the first one I'm going to give you because I just got a really cool shout

out, vyyyper, I was so stoked to see this shout out that it made me say, wow, I really

want to give him a shout out back so you can give a shout out back to other people, especially

if they mention you, but when you're getting started, the first thing is to listen to your

audience and paying customers.

One thing was that you mentioned a comment, so I said, hey, you have a question.

I'm gonna.

Answer it with a video.

You're using video to answer the question.

If you don't have an audience or you don't have comments yet, you can always look at

competitors and see what their audience is asking, see what's working for them, what

topics are they talking about?

You can also run surveys on social media.

Even on Youtube, You can put polls out on youtube within your videos.

I've done that on some of mine.

Have also tried email surveys, sending out email surveys to follow up a product sale.

Now, if you're just getting started, some of this stuff may seem a little over the top,

but really it comes to building an audience and you're never going to get an audience

if you don't just get started and that's why I say, look at what's working for other people,

see what other people are commenting about and just because they're asking questions

on someone else's video, does it mean that you can't make a video about that same topic?

Obviously people are asking questions.

I'm sure people have videos out there about how to come up with video ideas.

Hopefully that helps answer your question on that.

Do you like this type video where I'm commenting back to you?

If that's something that you like, put that in the comments below or if you want to hear

something else, then put it in the comments below because how am I going to know what

videos you want to watch?

If you don't put them in the comments below.

A second, second, what are you selling and what do you want to sell or what do you want

to sell - One day.

I would develop your content around a product or service.

Now someone that does a really good job of this is Linda Raynier.

I love her channel.

She has been someone who I've followed for a year going on two years now.

She hasn't really had her channel that long.

She honestly has about 50 videos out right now and 200,000 subscribers.

How did she do this?

She found a niche topic, so she talks about careers and resumes and she sticks to that

same category.

Those same questions when she's creating her content.

Now, another really good way to come up with video ideas is to look at someone else like

sunny Lenarduzzi.

She creates educational content.

I love Sunny.

Sunny is the one that kind of turned me on to video.

She's the first person I've found and started following her about how to make youtube videos,

how to look professional on camera, how to use your phone, just all of the tools that

you already have at your disposal.

Go and look through Sunny's channel, everything on it.

A lot of her videos say how to, how to, how to, because these are questions that her audience

asked her.

She reaches out to them.

These are clients that she's had.

She has courses out, so these are things she's constantly being asked and so she takes what

she's being asked the most as well as she looks at how it's being searched for.

You can look at youtube, Google search, youtube search, google adwords, Google trends.

I use a tool called tubebuddy.

I think I've mentioned this before, if you're interested in that, but a comment below and

I'll show tutorial on that.

If you are getting started on youtube, you cannot get overwhelmed or think why isn't

my channel growing?

You have to start somewhere.

When I was starting out, I had no idea what I was doing, so I started vlogging about like

rving and then I started talking about business and then it just got kind of weird because

I was doing rv tutorials and then I had a thing about vegas, but the rv stuff, I couldn't

really figure out how to incorporate into my channel.

So I kind of like took it off, but my videos we're doing really well and I'll probably

start another channel, but that didn't fit the content that I was doing as far as business

and where I was headed, so it just didn't make sense.

I would actually start out vlogging, maybe vlog behind the scenes about your journey,

what you're into.

If you're into gaming, that's a popular thing.

Beauty, that's a popular thing, but I would actually do something completely different

because those are really over-saturated.

Find something that you're interested in or something that you're learning and share that

with other people, but you want to make sure that it's found in search.

So that's why I mentioned doing research.

How sunny does or channel with how tos.

If you don't put anything out, you're not gonna have anything to analyze.

You want to put videos out so that you have to analyze.

If you go into youtube and look at your analytics, you can see your top 10 videos that you've

published and it'll give you a really good idea of what's working.

For me.

I went in and looked at mine and I noticed that tutorials, like on screen tutorials worked

really well for me.

Those are things that I'm adding into my videos coming up.

Like I mentioned, there are some really big thing going on soon on my channel and I can't

wait to share them with you, but not just yet, so make sure to subscribe.

So I mentioned being consistent.

I have a schedule, a content calendar that kind of helps me stay scheduled on my social

media and when I'm putting the videos out.

So if that's something that you're interested in.

I created a video about this a while back, I will link to that down below.

I also have a channel checklist, so even if people find your videos, you really want to

make sure that your channel set up because before you even put any videos out.

You can actually make your channel look like a real channel if you haven't even made any

videos yet.

So there's a way to do that.

Pick up the check list down below and just make sure that you have things like your social

links, your header.

You've got your about page, all of the things that other, all of those things set up so

people want to stay on your content.

UGGGGGG I'm probably losing my voice at this point, so I'm going to try to rest for a day.

I'm Brandi of www.Blogginbrandi.com where you can find tons of free resources to help

you brand your business.

I will see you in the next video.

Leave your comments and questions below and subscribe so you don't miss the next video

because you might be featured in it.
