Feed-a-Gene: Cross links between feed efficiency parameters and gut microbiota in pigs - Duration: 5:13.

My name is Gabriel de la Fuente, I'm coming from the University of Lleida.

I'm gonna try to explain a little this study that is belonging to the Feed-a-Gene project,

specifically in the Work Package 2.

The aim of this Work Package is try to identify different biomarkers or indicators that will

be linked to the performance of the animals.

In this study, what we did was try to see whether the microbial composition of the feacal

samples in our study in pigs was somehow related with the performance.

For doing that we used two different productive types, Pietrain and Duroc, and two different

diets, one with a normal level of protein, 13% crude protein on finishing and another

one with a higher level of protein, 15%.

Then we performed all this analysis to see which was the digestibility of the nutrients,

feed intake, average daily gain, feed conversion rate, and so on.

And then also, from the feacal samples, we extracted the DNA and then we analysed it

through sequencing to see the microbial characterization.

The results from the performance analysis are not shown in this poster, but briefly there

was no differences in the feed intake between both productive types, but there was a difference

in the average daily gain and the feed conversion rate.

These two different productive types have that different efficiency in the utilization

of their food.

Then we tried to see whether there was differences also in the microbial composition.

So part of the results are shown here.

We indeed found differences in the main groups, in the Firmicutes, Bacteroidetes, and also

this ratio that is quite important in nutrition, the Firmicutes/Bacteroidetes ratio between

two breeds, but we didn't see any differences between diets.

And then, going a bit deeper, we saw some differences in families like Lactobacillus,

Clostridium, and also some differences due to the diets.

That is normal because the diet is somehow gonna influence the microbial population.

The last step of this study was try to link, to join both sides, the performance and the

microbiota of these animals, and try to see if there was kind of a relation or potential

biomarkers.

For doing that we performed a canonical correspondence analysis in which we can see in this graph

that these dots correspond to animals but this microbial population in a multivariate

analysis of those animals.

And the arrows correspond to the variables that in our case were the performance.

We only saw the significant ones, and the ones that were clearly related with the microbial

population.

And then these circles are the confidence intervals of these four groups that we studied:

both Duroc and Pietrain in high and normal protein diets.

What we can see in this graph is that the emission of ammonia was clearly related with the breed

Duroc, the productive type, was producing a higher amount.

Some more of the traits that we found to be linked to the microbial composition were the

starch digestibility, crude protein digestibility and also some CO2.

So somehow we could demonstrate that indeed there is a clear link between microbiota and

performance.

Now the next step is to identify individuals so we can somehow early detect and then classify

animals for high/low efficiency using the microbial population as bioindicators.

What is a reseller? - The Sales Wiki | Michael Humblet - Duration: 1:57.

What are resellers in sales?

Well you have a direct model or an indirect model.

In the indirect model,

I am going to sell to a reseller

to end users.

That reseller sometimes people also call them partners.

It doesn't matter actually.

What they will have for what they will do is

they already have an existing product and service,

and they have a sales team.

And they will take your product or service

and they will offer it on top of what they're offering

to the end users.

Now the bigger the team, the higher the cost.

It's very simple.

The more work they do, the more margin they're allowed.

Typically in partner or reseller models,

you will find silver, gold, platinum,

the diamonds, you know they have categories.

The categories are simply defined from the more they sell,

the more margin they get.

I've seen examples between 10% margin

going up to 40% margin

if they do the work.

Now there's one thing you need to know.

There are two types of these resellers.

That means they have...

we have resellers that want to actually start

a new business with your product.

I tell you now, that's going to take a long time

because they start from scratch.

So if it took you nine months to scale your business,

you start with a reseller that wants to scale business,

it's gonna take another nine months.

Now you have another type of resellers upon us

that already have a large existing business.

If you can upsell on that,

that means you can offer your products

to their existing customers,

you've actually basically already gained

the trust of the customer,

you can scale way way faster.

And you'll notice that

if partners come to you,

they'll always start wanna start a new business.

If you find partners,

you will see that they have an existing business

you can scale.

So what you need to do is you need to do the work.

You need to go look for partners that can scale

and build a partner program.

Shall I Get Married While Having a Chronic Illness? - Duration: 6:08.

As-Salamu Aleikom wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.

So, you've written into us at

AboutIslam to

ask about an illness that you have

at the moment which

could potentially stay the same,

but there's also the possibility that it could get

worse

and that's something that affects your health every day.

But right now your concern is that you want to

get married

and you have disclosed your illness

to some extent to your potential

suitor.

But you're concerned about divulging

everything to him in case he

judges you for this

and maybe things will not work out.

But at the same time you're 34

and you're thinking that,

you know, time is running out at this point.

So, first of all,

I want to empathize

with you from a personal perspective

and I want to advise you from personal perspective

as well as a professional perspective because

I too also have

an autoimmune illness as well

and that could potentially stay the same

or it could also get worse

as well.

So I have an understanding of what you might be

going through from a personal perspective as well.

And I kind of like to advise you from the things

that I've learnt as well having gone through a similar

situation as well,

as well as giving you the advice from a professional

perspective as well.

So, it might be that we have

different illnesses, but the consequences ultimately

are the same as an illness that could stay

the same as something that could get worse.

Adjustments of this kind of illness can take some time,

many many years.

I know you've been diagnosed some 11 years

now, but the consequences

of this are ongoing as well so I know

that this can take time as well

and this process of adjustment can

take a long time.

And you know your dip in

and out of

feeling good about it

and feeling bad about it as well.

But ultimately it gives you a new lens

through which you can view your life as well

and this can be a positive thing as well.

Often we can get caught in this negative trap

of thinking of all the negative things,

how things can go wrong along the lines

as well.

But we also need to see that we can also

view things from a more positive view as well.

We can take things day to

day and appreciate the good

things that we have in our lives

and rather than focusing

on what might be

at the end,

it gives us the opportunity to

sit down and appreciate what we have

today.

More so than perhaps people who don't

have these kind of illnesses that don't really

get the opportunity to really appreciate

what they have.

When you have an illness like this it gives you that opportunity

to really sit down

and appreciate what you have on a day to day

basis. Plus you never know what's going to come tomorrow.

So, people who don't have this otherwise might not

appreciate life in the same way

that people who have an illness that could

affect their lives negatively in the

future might have as well.

But certainly this uncertainty is difficult

to deal with and that's the same

with anything in life.

Uncertainty is known in psychological

literature to be

a major cause of

difficulties in people's lives.

But having this illness can give

you this opportunity to focus on

today,

to focus on the here

and now

and you need to focus on

what's going on today

and how you can make things good for yourself

today rather than looking

back at what you had

or looking forward to what might potentially

go wrong in the future.

So this is really the key is to focus

on the here and now,

to focus on what you can do today.

You can use this in a positive way

to avoid things like procrastination,

for example,

because you never know what tomorrow's going to bring.

So instead use this illness

as a means to better yourself

today and to do the best you

can to please Allah today

rather than saying, you know,

Oh, I want to learn something new,

I want to learn a new Sura in the

Qoran, for example, I want to better myself in

this way or another,

you do it today rather than waiting till tomorrow

because you don't know what tomorrow's going to bring.

And we can apply this generally to

everybody.

Everybody goes through this when,

you know,

the Hereafter is uncertain for all of us.

We don't know if the deeds that we've done are

good enough to grant

us entry to Jannah

or whether Allah is not going to look favorably

on them.

So we deal, everyone deals

with this uncertainty every day

anyway.

But we can use illness

as a means to better ourselves

and purify ourselves on a

daily basis because we have this

illness constantly in mind.

And instead of using the

illness as a means to

avoid doing

certain things like getting married,

for example,

we can use it as a

means to better ourselves on a daily

basis

and instead be seeking the rewards

of bearing this burden

with patience every day

and we know that the rewards of patients

are very great as well.

And having an illness automatically

gives you the chance to earn

that reward on a daily basis

and we know that enduring

illnesses

or any burdens in one's life

can be used as an expiation of sins

as well. So there are so many benefits

to having such an illness as well.

Now obviously it's your choice whether you

choose to disclose any more

details of your illness to your potential

spouse,

but obviously one good thing about

disclosing it to him is that

you know that if you disclose

it to him, the full details of it,

If he chooses to marry you then he's

choosing to marry you for who you are

and he's not judging you based on your illness.

So do keep that in mind when you're

choosing whether to disclose it to him

or not. Ultimately, you might have to

do it anyway and if you want to open up about this

from the beginning then you can know

that the spouse that you're going to choose is

going to be a good one for you.

If he chooses to go ahead

with the marriage because he's judging you for who you

are and not your illness.

So those are some things for you to contemplate.

May Allah grant you ease

in a difficult situation

and ease the burden of your illness.

And may He grant you a righteous spouse

from Jannah who will be the coolness

of your eyes in this life

and the next. Amin.

Easy Spanish Flamenco Guitar Lick - Duration: 6:10.

In this video, I'm gonna show you a cool new flamenco guitar lick so you can jam

in this fun style of music.

Hi I'm Tomas Michaud from Real Guitar Success where i help you learn guitar and

unleash that musician within. If you're new here, please subscribe to my YouTube

channel and click the bell. That way I can make sure and send you some new

guitar lessons, tutorials and tips. Today we're going to go through a lick that

you can use to jam along in new flamenco guitar music. Now I'm using a background

track that's just the E chord and the F chord. And you know I'll make sure you

have a copy of that so you can play along with them. Now this lick is in the

key of E and I'm using all notes under the E flamenco scale also known some time as the

dominant Phrygian scale. Don't worry about that but I do have a video also on

how to play that scale so here's the basic lick. So now there's basically two

licks that each of them repeats twice. Let's start with that technique called

the pull off, that's this. So I'm actually hitting the string once

with my right hand and then pulling off with my left hand and another strike that can

get again with my right hand that's called a pull-off.

So you might want to practice that a little bit. Start with the first fret of

the first string and just hit the string and then pull off. By the way I'm using

picado technique two fingers to play this and that's commonly used in this

style but a pick works also. As a matter of fact I alternate sometime between the

pick. You'll see it sounds just as good. I'll keep using my fingers but feel free

to use either a pick or your fingers. So practice this, pull off

then I'm gonna go with the rest of the notes, pull off. My third finger on the

third fret second string, back to the first string, open, back to the second

string, down to the first fret, up to the third again and then on the first string,

that's the first lick. So again slowly and pulling off, hit, pull off, finger down

third fret, first fret, third fret and open. Now listen to the rhythm for a minute.

The rhythm is a consistent pattern. It's dot dot dot dot - dot dot dot dot Sometimes it helps to

just work on that rhythm - dot dot dot dot - dot dot dot dot pop-pop-pop-pop-pop-pop -pop-pop. Listen how that sounds

with the notes. So start slow and try to get just this one lick fairly well

before you go on. So now we're gonna do the second half of the lick. We're going

to start on the second string first fret. Gonna pull off

then go to the third string second fret, back up to the second string, down to the

third again, down to the first fret, back up to the second fret and end on the

open second string. So it's the same rhythm pattern exactly that's dot dot dot dot - dot dot dot dot. So I'm gonna play

the lick just as it's done but it very slowly and you can try to play along

with me. Here I'm gonna do both halves twice so it sounds just like the lick.

Here we go ready, play and again, go. Now go into the second string, go. Again, go.

Let me show you what that sounds like played along with the jam track. Now I'm

going to start with a count here 1 2 3 with a C chord going to the F chord 1 2 3. We're

gonna start right on the beginning beat ready start.

Second half, again. And you can improvise

and so on. This video is part of a playlist called Spanish Flamenco Guitar.

If you want to learn more about this style as well as the scale that this

lick is made from check out that playlist. I'll make sure and put a card

there. I think it's up in that corner so you can get to there easily. Leave me a

comment let me know how you liked this video and if you have any questions that

I can help you out with. Bye for now.

Business is like cooking chili! - Duration: 10:00.

Hey you made it!

oh my gosh.

I'm so excited to do this training so I'm gonna be comparing chili to

business.

I know I know I don't cook.

I don't even grocery shop but chilly is one thing that I do know how

to make.

I don't actually know if you could ever but I have something amazing for you at the end

of this so you gotta make sure that you stay till the end because I have a gift for you

and it's something that I think will be very, very beneficial,

not just to you but to your teammates as well if you're a network marketer because we're

all on this journey to where we wanna go and sometimes we need help identifying where we're

at exactly and what else we need to help us get to the end result.

So I was going to do this training and compare it to a marathon.

But I thought well that's really crazy because I don't run and I've ever ran in a marathon.

I don't cook, but I have cooked chili so I thought it be a little bit more authentic

to who I was so.

When you are in business for yourself, I want you to know that there are highs and lows.

There ups and there are downs.

It's to be expected and during those down times and low times we are like, "that's why

I quit" and "this is stupid".

I hate it.

I want you, I want you to stop so this training is on mindset.

I want you just wait to stop and I want you to say okay what can I learn from here but

what can I learn so the next time so I start feeling this downward turn, which is you will

have, what can I do to It it so a lot of it's will have what can I do to push it in so a

lot of it's mindset and expecting the highs and the lows.

It's a huge opportunity for growth.

Huge opportunity for growth.

I am going to yes compare a successful business and how to have a successful business to making

a pot of chili.

Make sure you stay to the end.

You guys because I have something that you do not want to miss out on.

You're gonna wanna share.

It is gonna give you so much clarity on where you need to be working and growing.

It's the bomb!

I'm Just saying.

It's the bomb that is gonna blow your mind so

Many people in business focus on the end result and my daughter has this too.

She wants to read so dang bad but but she want to do her phonics.

She won't practice sounding out of words, but she wants to read so bad but she is not

doing things to get her there.

They get down.

A lot of people quit in network marketing.

Let's be real.

Most people don't make it past 90 days.

They don't make it past three make month mark because they didn't invest a lot to start

the business and so they just quit.

It blows my mind but I see all the time.

The frustration comes in people shut down and people quit when they don't hit that end

result.

They want but what happen is they're not doing the things to get them there and so this is

where the chili comes in.

I want you to think of I want for tonight for dinner.

I want chili.

That's the end result same thing is I want chili for dinner tonight. This is the same

thing is ranking up in your business, okay these are the end result.

Eating chili, ranking up! alright and so before I go to make chili I was okay I wanna do it

tonight and I need a recipe so I started doing research online like I get on them.

This recipe looks good.

This sounds good.

This is quick and easy.

It's perfect print the recipe on.

Not gonna miss a list of ingredients that I need to get.

The next thing I do is I go to my cabinets.

What's up Courtney Barlow?

Thanks for hopping on girl.

Oh my gosh you guys!

Make sure you say hi.

If you're watching this as a reply also let me know that you stopped and to say what's

up so I know that you were here and I'm super excited!

If you're just hopping on make sure you stay till the end because I have something so awesome

for you.

I'm jack up to share it with you.

Okay so I have my recipe for my and I go to my cover to go to my cabinets.

I have half black beans.

I have onion powder.

I'm like okay I have these things, but now I can go to the grocery store and get the

rest of these ingredients so you make to schedule time.

To get in your car, to go to the grocery store or you schedule time to get on your phone

and go to instacart or clicklist and have the grocery get all these things for you schedule

the time to do it.

Now we're at the grocery store and I'm walking through the aisle and I'm getting the things

to add to my chili.

Some groundbeef some tomato sauce, some pepper.

I like mine spicy of some more beans because I love me some beans and so we're doing well

doing all these things.

Okay and so now it's like.

I got all the ingredients I need to check out.

Now I need to go back home and am I gonna make it after work, I'm gonna make it now

so okay.

I need to cook the ground beef.

I needed chopping onions.

I need to do all these things for my chili so I can eat chili.

Chili is the end result.

Chili is like ranking up in your business.

I make time to prepare everything.

Now I'm putting all the ingredients together and I'm cooking it.

I'm simmering it and after you do all these things.

Guess what happens?

You are gonna eat chili tonight for dinner because that's what you want.

It started with doing research on the computer to find the recipe.

The same thing happens when you wanna rank up in business or you want to accomplish something.

You got to do the ground work.

You've got to do the things.

It's all those little things that we did to make a pot of chili is the same thing in network

marketing.

It's all these little things that are gonna make a huge difference.

If you're picking up what I'm throwing down give me some love, give me some hearts across

that screen if this is making sense, you guys.

Let me ask you.

I'm gonna ask you.

Are you doing the things, Are you doing the things?

Are you finding the people to talk to?

Are you making the sales?

Are you wearing or using the service or product?

Are you studying closing?

Do you even know where you're at?

To be able to get to where you wanna go, do you know what's missing?

Do you even know what the things are that you need to do?

I can honestly say most people don't even know what the things are.

Your up-line can put out training all day long, but most people still don't know what

the things are.

This tool that I created is gonna help you identify where you're at now and what needs

to change where you need to focus a little bit more energy, a little bit more time.

If you comment with the word, with the word "skills" oh I can't remember what the word

"skills".

Comment below with the word skills and Lulu bot will send you over some information and

you can get this tool that I created to help you clearly identify where you're at now.

What does that look like?

What does it feel like?

What are some areas that you can focus on now.

You focus on improving those areas.

What's gonna happen next.

What's gonna show up and I promise you, I want you to do this tool today.

I want you to do the skills.

Drop skills below and I want you to do and I want you to do this balance will today and

then I want you to set a alarm on your phone to do it again in 90 days.

Do it again in three months.

Okay, three months.

I want you to do it again and I want you to look comparison to where you're at now and

where you're heading and I want you to share your results with me and I want to celebrate

wins with you.

I want to help guide you, but first thing you need to do is find out where you're at

and kinda assess your business.

This is the assessment.

Where you at?

what it look like?

okay and if this is where you're going, what areas need improvement.

This is gonna help you find the things that you need to do and that you need to work on.

It's gonna help you find the recipe it's gonna help you looking your cover and see what you

have and this is what you need to go to grocery store and buys gonna help you prep the food.

It's doing the things that are gonna get you end results.

Do you know what skills that you don't even know that you don't even know that you don't

even have?

This tool is know blow your because it's going to pull the blind fold off and you're gonna

realize that I didn't even know that.

I didn't even know that.

Drop skills below if you have any questions make sure you comment.

Let me know what you find out?

What's taking this blindfold off reveals to you and make sure that you share this video

with your teammates.

You can share with them now you can share it with them after you do the business assessment.

I'm just really I'm really excited for you to see what happens.

What comes up and what shows up and some aha moments.

I love you guys!

I will talk to you soon and I hope you have a super duper amazing day
