Today in military history, 1862.

The CSS Virginia and the USS Monitor

engage in the first battle

between iron-fortified naval vessels in history.

Formerly known as the Union steam frigate the Merrimack,

the Virginia was captured by the Confederacy

and rebuilt with iron plates.

After seeing her in action,

the Union Navy began construction of its own ironclad ship.

On March 8th, 1862, the Virginia attacked a Union squadron

of wooden vessels, sinking many easily.

Late that night, however, the Monitor arrived.

The ironclad ships engaged in battle the next morning

with crowds of Union and Confederate spectators watching.

Both ships suffered direct hits

that failed to penetrate their iron shields.

The fighting was slow and clumsy,

but finally the Monitor took a hit

that temporarily blinded her captain.

She steered into shallow water

and the Virginia took the opportunity to withdraw.

The battle was over, but naval warfare was changed forever.

Petrochem - Cyberpunk 2077 Megacorporations Lore - Duration: 5:21.

Greetings Earthlings!

Welcome to the MadqueenShow!

I am your host the MadQueen

On today's menu, we have a new Cyberpunk

2077 lore video for you, and today we're going to talk about the megacorporation Petrochem

In a world sucked out of resources by earlier generations, mankind is still unable to shake

their growing thirst for energy

As the years go by, their machines spread over more and more of the Earth's surface,

and all that machinery cries out, and competes, for power to run its motors, oils to cool

its innards, and plastics to protect their surfaces

Petrochem industries keep the world running

Literally

They are the world largest producers of CHOOH2™, the main source of energy of the world,

and they control millions of acres of arable land across the United States

This land is used to grow the genetically altered wheat that is used to make CHOOH2™,

while surplus grain is shipped across the world as food

Petrochem is also one of the largest remaining oil producers

With the oil supply falling down

all remaining fossil fuels are used to make plastics and other synthetics

In life, it's important to be one step ahead

that's how we created the fuel that moves your life

giving humanity hope

And we keep moving forward, to a better future for humanity

Our constant investigation in Biotechnology,

genetic engineering and biochemistry

helps us help you live a fuller life

Biotechnica

One step ahead

Petrochem has more fertile oilfields than any other company in the world

All of these assets are huge, and accordingly hard to protect from other companies that

would like to usurp Petrochem's wealth

As a result, Petrochem invests huge amounts of money in protecting themselves, maintaining

an armed force worthy of a small country

Because these days, the use of military and paramilitary force by corporations is taken

for granted, it's part and parcel of commercial survival in the unstable and dangerous 21st Century

And came very handy for Petrochem in late 2007, when a long-term rivalry with their

competing megacorp SovOil derived in the 2nd Corporate War

Currently, all of the major petrochemical corporations are in a research race to come

up with a viable artificial plastic base to entirely replace petroleum products

Consequently, industrial espionage is especially spread in this industry

Petrochem like to believe that they are the leaders in this race: their labs currently

work full time on the development of advanced structural and electronic materials, but keeping

the world running is not their only business, only the more profitable one, they also invest

resources and personnel in the development of drugs, pharmaceuticals, weapons, and new

recycling techniques

They recruit the best of the brightest of physical chemists, organic chemists, engineers,

physicists, and molecular biologists

With the amount of talent at their disposal, it is not surprising that they produce a large

number of the world's groundbreaking advances in the chemical and physical science

So, you know, if you think you make the world go round,

think twice, because this is Petrochem's job

Well, folks, thanks for watching

Don't forget to visit our Cyberpunk 2077 lore playlist to learn more about the dark future

Motor Club Of America|Your MCA Business Depends On Your Mindset|Resources - Duration: 11:59.

Hey you guys it's Candace with Motor Club of America and Kings prosper Network guys I

want to discuss the right MCA mindset for success and how you can get that

okay guys I am back and let's discuss the mindset for success okay now I used

to have a very very negative mindset and you know I used to think the wrong

thoughts you know the "that I can't motor club of america I don't mca and those really you need to

remove those words from your vocabulary okay and I'm gonna show you some of the

resources that I have used that have helped me do that okay now you know that

whatever you're thinking about up here in your head motor club of america

whether it's negative or whether it's positive it kind of like travels mca business down

and it settles into your heart and that's where those beliefs come from

okay and then once it's settled down in here it comes out of your mca mouth and you

can tell a whole lot about a person by the way that they speak and if they're

always speaking negatively then there's something down here in their heart that

that needs to be dealt with okay because we are all created to do motor club of america amazing things

and if we are created to do amazing things then that means that we can do

amazing things we just have to get the right mindset now the first thing I have

a whole stack here you guys the first thing that I would suggest you do is get

a journal this is my journal it's a peacock obviously my son and

daughter-in-law got this for me I love it because it's just pretty those are my

favorite colors purple blue and green but you want to have a journal and I

challenge you just it doesn't have to look like this whatever you know even if

it's just a notepad okay but every single day write down in your journal motor club of america at

least five things that you are grateful for five things every single

day ok and another thing that you want to do is have a separate journal I have

another one this is my notebook and write down your goals write them down ok

when you write them down then you can kind of see it and visualize it and that

is going to help change your mindset into one that shows mca gratitude and being

grateful for the things that your life is blessed with and the people that you

are blessed with and do that every single day I challenge you to do that

for 90 days now this book that I read here this one really is what like sealed

the deal for me and it's called switch on your brain the key to peak happiness

thinking and health by dr. Caroline leaf and she actually shows she's a scientist

a neuroscientist and she shows how you can switch your thinking she has a thing

in here called a mca 21 day brain detox plan in that book

she shows how you can actually rewire your DNA for optimum positive thinking

and health based upon your thoughts and she shows you in that book how to think

the right way and to think positively instead of negatively because it is

something that you have to another book that really really helped me change my

mindset is you are a badass by Genesis arrow this book was like a

huge eye-opener to me ok this book can motor club of america really really help you

and it it's how to stop doubting your greatness and start living an awesome

life this book really did a whole lot for me as well because it put things in

a whole new perspective and there are strategies in that book as well for you

to implement and I can promise if you just do those two books your mindset

will change to one where you can see and we'll see that you can achieve

anything that you put your mind to no matter whether it's with Motor Club of

America or if it's in personal relationship if you're married or you

have a boyfriend or a girlfriend you know even relationships with your

children other co-workers if you have a job outside of the home now the books

that have helped me in my business with my business mindset Eric worry I love

Eric worry this book is go pro 7 steps to becoming

a network marketing professional it's not a great big book mca but this book will

help you get started on the right foot to get your business going and how to

relate to other people when you are presenting your Motor Club of America

business all right now the book doesn't deal with Motor Club of America but all

of the principles in this book can be applied to your mca business another

book that I absolutely love is by Danny Johnson it's called first steps to

wealth and this book will really really change how you view a lot of things not

only your mindset but it will show you how to increase your income improve

relationships and expand your influence okay how to relate better with people

ways that you can save money and get yourself out of debt

now another guy that I really really enjoy is is Brendon Burchard I'm not

sure if you've heard of him find him on social media and follow him

you guys follow any of these people that I just mentioned but this book here is

amazing high performance habits by Brendon

Burchard this book shows you how to have the same kind of habits that mca people who

are high performers is very successful these are habits that they do

in and date out and how extraordinary people became that way because I know

that deep down inside we all want to do great things okay and maybe we just

don't know how to do them this book is going to show you how to do it and then

another book I haven't started this one yet but I can't wait to I'm getting

ready to start this one I'm finishing up another one I am an avid reader in case

you haven't noticed but my daughter-in-law recommended to this book

to me and it's also by Jensen Sara the one who wrote you are a badass but this

one I'm super psyched about because I know that it's going to probably be just

totally mind-blowing you are a badass at making money alright motor club of america I feel kind of

funny saying that word but I'm I said it it's the title of the book but this book

is supposed to show you how to uncover the things that are holding you back

from making money how to get rid of of doubts fears and excuses and how you can

relate to money in a new way okay because so many people if you get right

down to it and you'll learn that in the other books that I mentioned previously

it's really all about your mindset and I have found that a lot of people and even

myself and I didn't know that at the time I think deep down inside there's a

fear in us that makes us afraid of success and actually makes us afraid of

money you know money is not a bad thing loving money and being greedy that's a

whole other story okay but wanting to be successful and wanting to have money to

take care of your family or your friends or your community there is nothing wrong

with that okay now another thing that I would recommend that's gonna help you

see in that that positive mindset mode is watch some videos there are a huge

there's a huge arena of people out there that you can watch and and help you

train your mindset to think the right way to see things in a new perspective

Tony Robbins again the Brendon Burchard oh my gosh there's there's a huge even

will smooth you guys there are so many people out there that you can follow you

can also look online and just type in Google that's why Google's there

everybody uses Google if you don't use Google shame on you but seriously you

guys there are so many resources out there that are going to help you change

your mindset so that you can see that greatness in you that wants to come out

and that is going to totally totally change the trajectory of your Motor Club

of America business so I hope that this video has given you some insight as to

what you can do to get your mind set where it needs to be so you can achieve

and be successful now you'll see down below if you don't

belong to Motor Club of America join my team this is what it's all about

changing lives and I want to help you change yours for the better alright if

you're already with Motor Club of America check out these books if you

haven't already you guys I'll have links down there if you'd like to go ahead and

order them from Amazon or go to the library and check them out okay and also

you're gonna find down there a link that isn't our online marketing tool that you

can use for free if you are with Motor Club of America check it out you guys

because it is an amazing online tool and that link will be down there as well you

can find me on social media I'm on Facebook Candace a king I have a

[日] 手話を学びます!|Starting to learn Japanese Sign Language (JSL) - Duration: 5:27.

Hi everyone! I feel like each time I make a Japanese video, I say "it's been such a long time since I made a Japanese video"

But it's really been a long time. Sorry!

Today's video is about Japanese Sign Language.

From today, I've decided to learn JSL.

So why do I want to study sign language so much?

I've always wanted to be able to communicate better with those who are hearing or visually impaired.

So that's why I want to learn.

A really close friend of mine is Korean

if I speak loudly in Korean they can understand me slightly

but it is indeed difficult if one doesn't know sign language

Of course you can write words on paper, but that takes time.

And I also think that learning sign language exposes you to the world of the person you're communicating with

Haaaa this is hard

I'm gonna keep going slowly!

Maybe learning sign language also helps your brain think in a different manner.

And why specifically do I want to learn JSL?

The first reason is... I watched a movie called "A Silent Voice" (Koe no Katach) with my boyfriend about 3 weeks ago

And the theme of the movie was sign language. It really... how can I explain...

I really felt that I wanted to learn to communicate via sign language too

I was really touched by the movie

If I watch movies like that I really get strong feelings and the desire to learn sign language

So I really have to start learning for sure.

Ohhhhh since people bow in Japan when greeting, this means hello!

This is hello

My name is...

Ahhh at schools they have name badges, so that's why that's the sign for name. How interesting!

Rinko (my Japanese name). I don't know how to sign my name yet.

Ok let's try learn my name

This is "Ri"

What's "n"?

Oh this is hard

Wait, again again

[totally doing it in the wrong direction]

What's "ko"?

[spelling my name]

I forget these so quickly

Hello, my name is Rinko

If I go to Japan, I'd love to be able to communicate with the deaf community there

So I'm trying hard to learn.

I found some apps on my phone but they really aren't great.

I think there needs to be some sort of human relation to learn sign language properly

Please support me, everyone! I'll see you in the next video. Bye!

Wait ... Olivier, is that your landlord?

I am Anne's brother, she lives on the second floor, why?

What's happening?

We're from the police

The owner, Mr. Boulon, passed away

What? That's horrible... Is Anne doing okay?

Why wouldn't she?

Well, they were very close...

Tell me...

Where were you on Sunday night?

I went to see her, but

she was sick

So, I left

Did you see anyone else?

I saw a young woman, a short brunette

When I was walking down the stairs

She was walking up

But the elevator was there

That's all

Thank you for your answers

Of course, have a nice day

Where are you going?

I'm hungry! I'll be fast

I have nothing, I should get some cash

Musical Freedom Style Presets! | NEW TEAMMBL SoundBank - Duration: 7:55.

- He was trying to escape the entire time.

Wow, he does not want to be here.

(upbeat music)

- What's up, TeamMBL? It's musicbylukas.

- And laurenzray here.

- Good morning guys, or good evening.

- Happy Friday.

- Happy Friday.

- But today, we have something very exciting,

you guys saw the title of the video, you know.

But Lukas, what is it?

- It's probably our coolest sound bank ever.

It's inspired by all of those

musical freedom artists, those incredible tracks,

and it is called "Freedom".

- What's it called again?

- Freedom!

(beep)

- Oh, that's what it's called.

- If you want the sound bank, it is for Serum,

I listed all of the links right there

at the top of the description.

Or, you can go to teammbl.com/sounds

- And, we're giving away something super special

at the end of the video, so make sure

you stay tuned for that.

But, Lukas, let's get to the real stuff.

- All right, let's show them the sounds.

All right, guys, I'm so excited to show this to you.

We've worked on this for months,

and we got the ultimate musical freedom style sounds.

This first one is an Arp, it's called "Ayo".

This next one is called "Game Drop Layer".

And, obviously, I like this one.

This one is called "Lukas' Favorite".

This one is super-sick, it's actually

a little bit old-school, it's called "One & Done".

All right, we are onto the basses now.

This one is called "Bouncy".

This one is sick, it's called "Deeper".

This one is epic, it's called "Essential".

This one is how I feel about fish.

Ew.

This one, you're gonna love it,

it's called "Freedom One".

It's so sick, 'cause it's a bass

that sounds like it has a vocal mixed up into it.

This one is "Freedom Two".

That's a song right there, do that.

That'd be awesome.

"Jail Time".

This one just speaks again to the originality,

I think, of the sounds in this pack.

It's called "Move Along".

We're onto the leads now, this one's called "Beefed Up".

This one is super dope, it's called "Clean".

"Fire".

"Pitched Out".

Check this one out, it's called "Rocket".

Payday Lender Criminals GO WILD! - Duration: 8:24.

I understand that you have been keeping an eye on what Mick Mulvaney is up to over there

trying to fenestrate the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and elevate the payday loan

industry to a godlike status?

Yeah.

Well, there's no surprises here.

When he was appointed by Trump as the interim person to do all that, we all knew it was

all but ... It was a disaster and we saw it coming from the top.

We've all seen the commercials, Tom, the smiling person walking out of the payday lending office

telling us how happy they are that they have $500 in their hand with no credit check.

But what we don't see and what it's not telling you is real world reality, and that is that

$500 in cash comes with a weekly percentage rate that's frequently over 500%, meaning

it could take them years before they ever pay off that small loan.

There's been a scream for regulations.

Mulvaney has done nothing about it.

Now we can see one of those sleazy CEOs running the actual agency that's supposed to be protecting

us from predatory lenders.

Janet Matricciani is the name that's currently being floated to replace Mick Mulvaney as

the head of the CFPB, and this is a woman who ran World Acceptance, which by the way

was one of the biggest payday lending companies in America, that was actually being sued,

by the way, by the CFPB up until a few months ago when Mulvaney dropped the suit against

her company that was very clear it was criminal.

It wasn't just ... It was criminal conduct.

Like putting a bank robber in charge of bank oversight?

That's exactly ... She's the new bank robber.

Mulvaney gave her cover until she got there by dropping the lawsuit.

But we all know these stories.

Everybody knows these stories.

For several years we've heard these horror stories about payday lenders.

They're out there.

I think one case, Tom, that's ... I think it was a 71-year-old, he borrowed about $250

from an Austin, Texas franchise of I think it was Cash Plus after losing her job as receptionist.

Then about four months later she owed almost $1,000 and faced the possibility of jail time

if she didn't pay up.

These stories are endless.

I could go on forever.

Elliott Clark, I remember this was a case from Kansas.

I think he took out about a $2,000 loan from payday lenders to pay off medical bills.

The guy had absolutely necessary medical treatment.

Clark ended up owing more than $50,000, Tom, just in interest charges to the lending company,

even though he was actually making required minimum payments every month.

So yeah, now we have somebody in charge, she's awful, she comes from the biggest payday lending

in the business.

She's gotten protection from Mulvaney by having her lawsuit already dismissed.

She's just another payday lending thug, and that's who Trump has put up.

So we know the rest of the story, don't we?

Yeah.

The payday lending industry is by its very nature a predatory industry and they're allowed

to charge ... We used to have usury laws.

Richard Nixon pulled on the plug on them, and arguably he had to because the inflation

had gotten so bad after the Arab oil boycott.

But it used to be illegal in the United States for not only any bank, anybody to charge more

than 10% interest, and that's what Nixon blew up in '71 as I recall, or maybe it was '69

or '70, but whatever they year was.

Now you've got these payday lending companies where people are paying an effective interest

rate in some cases of 300 or 400 or 500%.

Do you have that right.

No.

No.

There's ... Yeah.

That's your conservative numbers, Tom.

Look, there are stories of borrowers who saw their interest rates hiked up to well over

900% after the first week of their loan, putting them in a cycle that's an endless interest

payment.

They don't really pay anything off.

They don't pay any principal.

They pay interest and they pay what they call handling charges.

Every month you have this person who believes they're actually paying down the principal

of the loan.

They're not.

They're paying interest and they're paying what we call administrative handling that

somehow takes it outside of the usury law.

That's the exception here.

So this is how the payday lending industry works.

They set up a shop in very poor areas around the country, near military bases.

They advertise their services as a quick and easy way to get some cash, and then once they

have the consumer with this document in front of them ... Have some fun sometimes.

Get the payday lending document and you tell me if you can find in there how you really

do pay down the principal without a huge payment.

It's not just fine print.

There's a difference between fine print and what we call disjointed structure and how

that document is put in front of you.

It's not just fine print.

The disjointed structure is just as difficult to follow.

So people are signing incomprehensible ... Signing contracts that even a lawyer would have a

hard time understanding?

Actually there's a couple of stories where lawyers did take a look at it and they couldn't

figure out how much they had to pay on a $200 loan.

So the idea of expecting that somebody is just going to understand that is absurd.

This is a criminal process.

You remember that ... I think his name was Scott Turner, the race car driver who had

the business similar to this, he ended up going to prison.

I think he went to prison 17 years or something like that.

Every one of these people are a target for the Feds, but we're not going to see it in

this administration.

Yeah, not under Mulvaney and not under any other Trump toady.

Now Bernie Sanders ... One of the things that he campaigned on and that I believe the Democratic

party actually put in their platform ... I could be wrong on that, but it was certainly

something that Bernie kept bringing up ... Back in the '80s, when Louise and I lived in Germany,

that year that we lived in Germany, if I needed to cash a check quickly, or any other small

financial transaction, wire some money or whatever, I could go to the Post Office and

do it.

Bernie said that the Post Office should get into the small banking business, not competing

with community banks, not competing with S&Ls, but taking the ... Basically competing with

the payday loan industry, which is ... They're serving people who literally no other bank

will serve.

Why can't the Post Office do that?

What do you think?

It's a simple, brilliant idea that has been on the table for a long time.

Here's the ugly thing about it, Tom.

It's not just the Republicans that are fighting this.

It's Democrats.

13 Democrats, for example got behind this idea of making this a legal process.

Now we want to say that that never happens, but it happens all the time.

They stand behind payday lending all the time because payday lending spreads out so much

money.

It's not just Republicans.

I know that's hard for Progressives to say, but that is the reality.

The industry itself right now, because of the failure for Congress to take any action,

they're siphoning off about $3 billion a year out of the poorest communities in American.

While this seems like a perfect industry for government to step in and to regulate, the

truth is that both government and the court system are doing everything in their power

to protect the industry.

Courts are making payday lenders file ... They're turning them into criminals.

They're actually throwing them into jail when they don't pay these loans off.

You mean payday borrowers?

Payday borrowers.

Excuse me.

Yeah.

So this is not something ... There's nobody that's going to pull the sword out of the

stone here except a Bernie Sanders type.

We're not going to see it from our Wall Street Democrats, and we're certainly not going to

see it from the thuggish Republicans who just are joined at the hip with this kind of business.

This is acceptable business to them.

So in order to change it, it's going to take something dramatic.

I don't see it changing anytime soon to tell you the truth based on the conducts of Democrats

we've seen already.

RUSSIANS REACT TO MEXICAN MUSIC | Calibre 50 - Siempre Te Voy A Querer | REACTION - Duration: 6:19.

Hello guys, hello Mexico

Hello Mexico

Right now we're gonna react to Calibre 50

We've reacted to them before

Remember the video where guys were crossing the border?

Video about the life of Mexicans in the USA

That video got over 200,000 views in a month

Thank you guys for that

And right now we're gonna react to "Siempre Te Voy A Querer"

Let's translate

"I always want you"

Love song

But in English it says "I will always love you"

"Love" sounds more beautiful than "want"

Well, probably it means "I will always love you"

Yes, it's romantic. Love is a bigger word

Anyway, Google Translate sucks

If we translated it wrong, it's not our fault

It's good atmosphere

Why is he touching her? -He's an asshole

She's working, what do you want from her?

That's the singer

He probably told her something like "Don't pay attention to that guy"

That's what she earned? -Yup

Wow, what a castle!

I wonder what is that place?!

Where is that place?

It's beautiful

He's not even singing... ah, here we go

They even put drums into the water

They brought it on a boat

It's so beautiful and romantic to live in that house

He's not her brother, It's her son

I think it's her brother

I don't think so -She looks too young

She's maybe 25 years old, so she can have a son

Guys, comment below what you think

See, she's even hugging him like a brother

Look how beautiful it is

I think I know that place but I forgot the name

It starts with "T"

So beautiful

Actually maybe it's her son

Fishes

It's so beautiful there!

She lost him. He's gonna appear from behind

She looks grown, not very young

Look, those things are so cool

Are those things natural or human made?

I think they're natural

Wow, I've never seen such places, there's a hammock in the water

You will find that place and live there

There water is shallow, they can stand there

It's like paradise

Yeah, and it's calm there

Usually if there's an ocean, there will be many waves

But this place looks like a gulf

The weather is always warm there

It reminds of me Hawaii because of the houses

She feels better now and can get back to work

He's touching her again

Her defender

He didn't like the fact that she brought the kid

She left the job

Such an asshole, he's apologizing to that man

He's apologizing to that man

For her behavior

They say "client is always right"

That's sexism

"I will always love you" is probably about her son

She will always love her son

But the singer is a man

But I guess he's telling her story

Yes, she will always love her son

I think it's about love of mother to son

Maybe yes

Although at first I thought he was her brother

But now I can see that he's her son

Those landscapes are beautiful. Please guys, let us know where that place is

I think it's... -Maybe you could go there

Let me see

For some reason I think it's Tampico

But I don't know any other places in Mexico that have beaches except Tampico and Cancun

Please, let us know where this video was filmed

Very beautiful places. I fell in love with that place

It doesn't look like Cancun because there are always many tourists there

But in the video there weren't many people

The song is very soulful and melodic

And the video is very beautiful. Amazing

Beautiful places

Gozo Grand Tour 2 - Gozo, Malta - VLOG #36 - Duration: 4:10.

The to ur of the island had started.

Failure and success were well out of sight

and so was the end of my trip.

15 days away to the East ...

and then to the North and West a little in the middle

and back to where I was starting from.

To me this was uncharted territory!

okay, who am I kidding!?

I knew almost every stone of the places I was about to visit

but as Marcel Proust once wrote

the real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes

but in having new eyes

and this journey was all about having new eyes!

I'm on the balcony of the Glenneagles bar which is arguable ....

I'm on the the balcony of

the Gleneagles bar which is arguably one of the nicest ...

The port of Mgarr is the gateway to Gozo

unless you decide to swim it over

you definitely have to come through this port

when there is a rough sea coming from the west

the ferry takes a route around the island of Comino,

which takes a little bit longer.

This boat behind me is a Luzzu, which is a typical Maltese boat

tapered on both ends ...

it's not just the colours that make the luzzu, it has to have the shape.

The eyes of the Luzzu are for protection.

The port of Mgarr sees the crossing of roughly

1 459 114 cars each year

and though the number seems much bigger than the naked eye can perceive,

well I'm not particularly fond of cars so I decided to move to more remote areas

but before that ...

I was taking a time-lapse of the building behind me

when a man approached me

and told me the history of it

The building I was looking at

had once been the hotel Oceana,

a hotel with a less than immaculate reputation.

This boat behind me is called Ghdajsa tal-Latini.

"ghdajsa" is the Maltese word for boat.

The plan is ... I'm gonna camp in Hondoq

that means that I have to get there before it gets dark

which is not too long to go

I have about half an hour of time

I need to get there and set tent
