The Perfect Husband Cast & Crew - Adaptasi & Ekspektasi Film Indonesia | BukaTalks - Duration: 32:19.

Please do greet everyone first. Yes, hello, friends. How are you?

Who have seen Perfect Husband? Really? Because it seems like they pointed their hand hesitantly.

Because theyíve seen it only once. Maybe higher their hands the more times theyíve seen it.

Who have seen it more than once?

More than twice?

You donít have to tell me. More than three times?

Excuse me, you in black shirt. You have a husband, and saw it three times, do you want to have a second husband?

Itís because sheís experienced having a husband, thatís why she feels this is the perfect movie for her.

Thatís smart. Right. Moving along.

Agreed. Agreed. And here we have Bunga. How are you?

Hi, Iím good. You can imagine, look at her body but she actually has 2 children.

Gotta keep motivated. Maíam, 2 thatís known you mean?

Writers and their snarky remarks.

She is literally young mom. Yes, really young mom.

How are you, Bunga? - Good Can you tell us who do you play here?

I play Dita, Amanda Rawlesí sister, whoís also a mom to her

because in this story their momís gone. Right? Whereís their mom?

In heaven, I think. You should ask me Yeah, sheís the one who wrote it

Right. Why ask her.. So why is their mom gone?

Because Iím your mother, kid. Okay, okay, donít argue. This is a test.

So, I play Dita. Sheís good, sheís a super sister for Ayla.

Okay.. and here we also have Amanda Rawles. Amandatic, give around of applause.

Amanda, can you tell us who do you play in this film?

In this film, I play Ayla. A teenager whoís in her unstable state, stubborn,

And searching for identity, trying to enjoy her love life with her boyfriend

Which ended up being disturbed by the father because it turns out

I was being set up with a pilot--> And it turns out the pilot is Dimas Anggara

Why so shy all of the sudden, you werenít in the backstage.

Dimas, can you greet our friends, Dimsky Lovers.

Hi, good evening, everyone.

Have you all eaten? No? Thatís why there is no spirit.

Keep the spirit!

Okay, can Dimas, Amanda, Bunga and Tisa greet our friends at home, or on the way

Whoís now maybe watching our Facebook live?

Can you say hi? Thereís the camera,

Hi

If you didnít get the chance to come here, you can catch us live on Bukalapakís facebook.

And now I think weíll go chat it up

Chatting with everyone Oh with everyone? I thought just me.

Okay, so weíll talk to.. Mami (Tissa) first.

Because Mami is the most.. The oldest.

Well I didnít want to say ìthe oldestî. I meant, the most understanding with life.

Weíre talking about the novel adaptation trend.

Lately there are a lot of film from novel adaptation.

Recently there is Dilan, then Friends But Married, and now Perfect Husband

Itís like Itís trending

And as filmmaker seeing these trends, do you think thereís a development in Indonesian cinema through the years?

For me as a creative, this pattern came unintentionally

So the first time the Screenplay Films producer, Mr. Sukhdev Singh

chose The Perfect Husband to be adapted into film, it was way before Dilan or others was even in production

The Perfect Husband was in talk since last year.

So Mr. Sukhdev received several novels then,

and he picked The Perfect Husband as one of the first to be adapted.

Well, actually itís the second, because the first was Promise. That was from novel too.

Yes, and that happens to be with Amanda and Dimas too.

Oh so this is like a bundling package. Thatís right, a bundling.

So I think this is just a moment,

Because itís like, maybe producers have the same feeling or sense of business and of creative.

So if we say oh itís trending, and The Perfect Husband is following the trend

But we have actually been talking about it since long time ago.

So actually The Perfect Husband is the pioneer..

Well no, it was actually Promise.

Well, actually the pioneer is maybe my producer.

So he wanted to bring back, to see how the synergy between printed and visual.

Because itís like there is this gap, usually readers are not watchers.

Because the needs to buy books and go to the cinemas is different,

The needs of time, concentration, and the money is different.

So he thought why canít we synergize them?

Because both the making of novel or film go through the same creative process,

So with that thought he brought back this synergy, and Thank God itís a success.

Alright, a round of applause for Mami please..

So now, we look from the actorsí POV,

Maybe from Dimas, as Arsen the Pilot,

Facing this trend.. how many films have you made?

My first film. The first one.

In the year of 2018 you mean? Letís say, more than 10 films? Yep.

So how do you face this novel adaptation trend? Your past films werenít from novels, right.

Honestly, at first I also thought, because most people who read books and watch the adaptation would think ìoh, the novel is betterî

Because they have their own imagination, right.

So at first I was like, is this gonna be exactly like the novel or?

But it turns out from Screenplay informed that, itís just an adaptation,

The structure, the premise, then we develop from there.

Which if people read the novel then watch the film, theyíd feel differently.

So I said, okay, can you tell me the story?

Then they told me the screenplay, and I was intrigued.

The comedy is there, but the moral message is very strong.

Because the family bond is very strong in this.

So I said yes but like by the way who do I play here? At first I didnít know..

Do I play Ayla? Turns out not..

Deep down inside perhaps you wanted to?

I mean.. didnít you look at me? Joking.. joking.

Oh no, netizen. Do not. Right.

Then after that I was told I was gonna play Arsen, and asked did I want to be Ando? Oh no, no. Arsen is good.

Ando is way too young for you, right?

FinallyÖ Finally... See the world is round and karma moves fast.

So, then? Ah, I donít want to.

Okay, so then I heard the story and was intrigued, I liked it,

By the way, how about the novel?

And they told me the story on the novel, and I thought oh yeah, it is quite different

If people watch the film but donít read the book, theyíd still understand the story and vice versa.

Because the premise is the same, but on the film it develops differently.

But there is a connection between the two, right.

And for Amanda, how many films have you made?

If Iím not mistaken, this is my 7th film.

Amazing. And how do you face this trend? Still the same question..

I happen to have been in 3 films adapted from books.

I feel like adaptation films, especially from bestseller books,

The readers would get more excited knowing it would be made into a movie.

I feel like it would get more enthusiasts if there is a book already before the film,

Because they know, and excited to see the visual version

I feel like the euphoria increases for adaptation films.

And for The Perfect Husband, like Dimas said, it is pretty different

Like on the book, I was supposed to be in college, but in film Iím still in high school.

And the character develops differently, like Ayla is more tomboy

So itís pretty different, and I think itís not a problem because

There are a lot of feedbacks from the audience, who read the book,

They said itís different, but I really enjoyed the movie.

But as long as we can pack it well, people will also enjoy the movie.

Amazing. She should run for the office next year, yeah

Thank you. Thank you. Oh, not me? No, no... Okay, from Bunga, how is it?

This is my first film after a long hiatus

After becoming a mom, right? After becoming the perfect wife..

So yeah, itís my first one after a long time. And I was actually told to just read the script,

But I got a chance to look that the book is different from the screenplay.

And Aylaís older sibling was supposed to be Eza, the boyfriend.

But they switched it so she has a sister. They said it doesnít really fit if Ayla has an older brother.

Because it has to be from female POV, right.

I saw the result is very different.

And after I saw the reviews, from ones who read the book, they said the movie was way better.

Because they can see how the real story is, the characters

And the structureÖ we can have our own imagination. In the book itís not well developed, right.

But on the film, we watch it filled with music, actors, everything, itís like very different.

And I want to ask our friends here, who have read the book first before watching the film?

And read the book after watching the film?

Are both interesting? Interesting.

Can you imagine these people here playing Arsen, Ayla, and Dita? Are they like them?

Can you imagine it? No? But you must be excited to know these 3 play them right.

Are you more excited about the book or the movie?

Straight to the point. Both of them.

But the book is good too. But there are a lot of changes on the movie. Itís more interesting.

We move on to the next question, it was mentioned that from book to film, has a big challenge

Especially for character development, and if there is indeed twists and changes,

How do you develop the character and find the chemistry. We can start with Dimas,

To be honestÖ Is it a burden? Yeah

Did you feel disappointed with Arsen from the film after reading the book?

Every person who read the book has their own view on the characters,

And for me personally, the character is almost the same with the film Iíve been in,

But I have to make something different here, so people donít see it all just the same.

Fortunately for me, I have a childhood best friend whoís an actual pilot.

So evidently I asked him a lot of questions. And I jokingly said ìbut do I really take you for an inspiration for this role?î

ìBecause I know you very well inside and outî

But is the real pilot and Arsen has the same character, like did you base it all on him?

Yes, I based it all on him starting from his hairstyle, the way he walks when heís in uniform,

He said it himself that when he wears uniform and when heís outside is very different.

I didnít believe him so I went to his house when heís about to fly

And he was telling the truth. Everything from the way he walks changed.

Like an alter ego? Yeah, he also admitted that a uniform brings oneís prestige to life.

It was true. To me every person who wears uniform just looks like .. ìwowî Very prestige

So yeah, in the end I based the looks on him

And our director also happen to have a pilot friend, so he had him come over,

We met and chatted, and he told me that a captain wears his watch on his right wrist.

That was kinda hard for me, but I tried to adjust to that

And I ended up asking other people to put the watch on my wrist because I canít

Who did you ask, Ayla? No. Sheís stingy. Sheíd never want to help me. (joke)

But on the film their chemistry is very spot on, right? Ö Then what?

Yeah, so I learned a lot from that and asked a lot of questions to our director.

Like, can I ask something, can Arsenís voice in this scene be like a little bit more calm?

He was like oh okay, but if you change the voice itís gonna change your character too.

I was like oh yeah okay, I tried to study it too.

Even though on the field, sometimes Iíd bring back myself on takes.

But Dimas was proven to be a success right? Give a round of applause to Arsen.

Now Ayla.. Ayla with Aylaís character.. Oh wait, I keep thinking of (Amanda as) Ayla.

Yes, Amanda and Ayla.. Is Aylaís character just like Amandaís on the daily?

No. Not at all?

Very differentÖ It is different, right?

Yes, different. Amanda in real life is good, and careless on the film, and Dimas is the other way around.

Sheís playing favorites, Dim.

Yes, it is out on public now.

So you have totally different character?

Yes, very different from myself or any other characters that Iíve played previously.

Iíve never got this kind of role before, so for this film it is very challenging for me

To play this character that is so new to me

And to develop the character, because this film is not exactly as the novel

So I didnít get to like read the novel and follow the character from the novel

And I also got the chance to ask our director, Rudy Aryanto,

So what kind of character that you want?

And he said Just like you

Because it is indeed her real character No!

I said, is there a film that can be a reference to me?

And he said yes, later, later.. He didnít want to answer

Because apparently he wanted me to explore myself in my imagination when I read the script.

So the character could expand, and not like any other characters in other films.

Like I make Ayla, I mean I explore her character on my own

So for this film, I just work based on script and exploring my own imagination.

Okay, amazingÖ The hardest scene on the film?

The hardest scene? When I have to slap Arsen

Wasnít that what you wanted?

It was hard because he was like, his eyes were likeÖ

Okay then, letís see it live now

Everyone was like I was afraid sheíd punch me instead of slap

It took about 5 or 3 takes Was that on purpose? That was my improvisation.

There were lots of retakes, and he just surrendered because had to slap 5 times

Surrender because I was being slapped What did I say?

Oh no, I meant that he surrendered about being slapped

And then thereíd come out a soundtrack like ìlook at the markÖî (an old song)

You just gave away your age Right. Only Dimas and Mami who laughed.

Oh no, no, I donít understand Me too, I didnít know, I laughed out of respect

And now Bunga. Your character is very motherly

Thatís right. That is so me.

Why are you laughing? Seriously, Iím very motherlyÖ

And protecting her sister, did that really come out of your heart or?

Me and Amanda just met. So when I was shooting, I literally just know her

With Dimas or the others, I have worked with.. yeah, and already sick of them (joke)

But with Amanda, I literally just met.

So at first we were kind of awkward, right? At first yeah.

To the point we were like, wanted to chat but feel awkward.

She looked awkward, so I looked awkward too, right?

So eventually for few days we were told to talk with each other

And finally we clicked. We vent, gossip, talk about clothes, shopping. So finally we really connected.

So here looking at the actors, they have totally different character from the roles they play?

She really emphasis on the ìveryî

Okay so now we as Mami, as a writer, written on the novel, adapted into a movie,

Looking at the characters of these 3, they need an adjustment too, right 224 00:20:59 --> 00:21:02 Well, how much adjustment is happening in this visualization of the story into the movie

Especially with the characters that seems to have a chemistry with you.

Fortunately for me when writing the script, I have discussed it first with the director and the producers

This character will be played by A, this character will be played by B,

And, to be honest, really helped me a lot in writing because-->

Did you get to choose too?

I didnít choose, but sometimes my producer like to ask for my options

So we talked it over with the director too

What helped me writing this is, I know whoís going to play the characters, Arsen is Dimas, and Ayla-->

Well, one thing, why we switched Ezaís character that was supposed to be Aylaís brother,

Because the agreement from me, my producer, and my director,

This film is about Ayla, about a girl whoís trying to rebel

Because her teenage days are being destroyed by forced marriage

So this has to be delivered by a femaleís POV.

According to the book, she vents to her brother, meanwhile the brother has a wife,

It felt so unfortunate, we felt itís so unfortunate for the brotherís wife to be a waste,

Meanwhile we wanted this film to be different, we wanted for people out there to resonated with Ayla

And with looking at the scenes with like her father, theyíd feel ìoh, so thatís whatís going to happen if this happensî

Theyíd feel the moral message, and law of cause and effect

So we decided to switch it, so Aylaís older sibling is the woman, that is Dita.

And it so happens that Bunga is the kind of person you know

They said sheís calm, sweet, so it really fits this character.

And we feel between Ayla and her sister, thereíd be so much touching scenes thatís very natural

And very human. Itís very natural for a younger sister to vent to her older sister,

Because they feel like they only have a father, they donít have a mother,

ìSo who else can I ask? I donít have a role modelî

So perhaps thatís what makes this film to be more lively.

People feel this is very natural because they feel like one day they could be Ayla

Amazing. Now talking about the film itself,

This is a film about forced marriage, Ayla is forced to be married with her future husband named Arsen

But Ayla already has a boyfriend. Does he go to the same school?

With Ando? No. Ando is supposed to be in college, but because he enjoys being a performer,

And he feels like he has rich parents, so he doesnít take his study seriously.

And this is the phase where the highlight is a rebellious girl who feels no one loves her when sheís forced into marriage

Yeah, yeah, itís like ìwhy does no one understand me? Iím only on the 12th gradeî

Anyone feel that way? Anyone has experienced that?

Anyone wants to be matched? With Arsen, you want?

Do you want? One of them (the audience) could be available.

has Ayla been matched? Ayla or Amanda? --> Amanda

No, never. Alhamdulillah I have not.

Do you have a boyfriend? Yes Approved by your parents? Yes

Who? Someone

Whereís the boyfriend? Somewhere

And what about Dimas, have your parents ever said that youíre already a certain age,

Let us match you with a friendís daughter, pretty, kind. Sure, mom.

Well, heís been expecting it.

You got it wrong, the dialogue should be like this ìdad, Iím already at this age, why havenít you tried to match me with someone?î

My family happens to be very liberal. Very open.

So like, there is no gap between me and my parents. Itís like weíre friends.

In the past I actually asked for it

Feeling desperate? No, just testing my parents.

Did they end up looking for it?

My father just laughed. And my momís like oh really? But she didnít find me anyone either

My parents think like if we find someone for you but you donít like her, weíd be embarrassed with our friends,

But if you want us to introduce you, weíd introduce you.

Can you give a message to our friends, is it better to be matched or look for ourselves, from this film?

To be frank, look for ourselves, because weíd know each other better

But if we ask our parents to introduce us to someone is great too

Because the family bond would be tighter. And theyíd know her better.

So there is Bibit (pedigree), Bebet (rank) and Bobot (quality, also means weight), but not fat I mean

Donít look at me when you say fat (jokingly) I didnít

Wait, I want to correct something. This film is actually not about forced marriage.

Itíll be revealed later, and one thing I can tell is that,

For people whoíve never seen it, youíve never seen it right?

So thereís Aylaís dialogue that says ìwe are not being matched, we just fall in love a bit lateî

So the point is theyíre meant to be together,

But they just fall in love a bit late, and the father got there first.

This is the last question, for everyone here, for Mami, Dimas, Amanda, and Bunga

Back to the novel adaptation into film, Dimas has also mentioned about audienceí expectations

Especially now in Indonesia is very critical.

And the critics are not directly, but through social media.

Because to be honest the netizen are usually mean The netizen are always right.

The readers expectation are very high right,

So far the reviews are good, but if there is a disappointing review

Like if someone prefers the book than the movie, they think the execution are not good. How do you respond to that?

Who should answer first? Everyone can. --> Iíll go first..

For me, as a writer, my response is thatís only natural.

I mean, first, each person has different expectations,

Secondly, the imaginations are also different.

Perhaps people who say that, their imaginations is way beyond our standard.

So thatís only natural. But the main thing is, we made this full hearted, each actors are very-->

like Bunga and Amanda theyíre still bonding till now,

so itís not like after we wrapped, executed, premiered, showing on the cinemas and thatís it, see you next project. No, itís not like that.

We really did it with full hearted, we even get carried away outside, like there is who get carried away in friendship.

And we feel here from the producer, the actors, director, writer, even extras on locations, they all have done their best.

So whatever response people have to this film, we wonít change what weíve made.

Amazing. A round of applause for Mami, please. And what about from Bunga?

More or less the same answer as Mami.

Most important is weíve done our best, weíve given our best for this film

For criticisms or comments out there that is different from us, thatís fair.

And even can be inputs for us as actors. As a team we feel if thereís no critics thereís no flavor

it can motivate us. So for me thatís very reasonable.

And for Amanda, if thereís either positive or negative critics,

Actually Mami Tisa have said it all.

The point is, everyone has different imaginations, and thereís no way us actors can fulfill all their expectations,

we have our own imagination too.

So I have a message for readers who want to watch adaptation film,

do not expect the film will be 100% as the novel because it wonít be. And be more open minded to see the film.

So donít feel like this has to suit my expectations, it has to suit my imaginations

Thatís impossible because everyone has different imaginations

And just enjoy. So donít be too serious. Just enjoy it.

And what about Dimas? You seem to be immune to netizenís comments. Especially from the gossip accounts.

Fortunately Iíve never read comments

But I think criticism can do good for us, because if weíre not being criticized, weíd feel arrogant.

So itís better there is critics, so thereís something we can learn. Because life always has pro and contra.

But beyond that, we only create something, we only want to entertain people in their spare time

And our hope is that people who watch it would feel entertained.

The point is haters is the real lovers, right?

The more they criticize means theyíve watched it, right?

Okay, a round of applause of them.

Is Just Eating "Good" Enough For Weight Loss? - Duration: 2:35.

struggling to lose belly and hip fat.. should I be incorporating????

what UP fam is your boy, Mattie, Matt from Macro Lean and in this video

I'm going to be answering a question, a question that I got on a YouTube video

and it says "Hi I do quite a lot of fasting, 16 to 18 hours a

day, my diet is good I work out every day, all strength training. I'm nine stone, I'm

a slim build, but I'm struggling to lose belly and hip fat. should I be

incorporating more cardio. not sure what more I can do to shift it thanks" so I

get a lot of comments like this on the facebook, on the YouTube sliding into the

DM's on Instagram, a lot of the time and the problem with stuff like this is

they say stuff like "my diet is good" okay good can mean many things, that's very

broad, that's a very 10,000 foot view and a lot of the time through the media and

the fitness industry and diet industry good relates to clean, whole healthy

foods. Here's their thing! all foods contain calories, all foods

contain macronutrients.. so you can be overeating with junk food, you can be

overheating with clean foods and a lot of people are. They're thinking of

healthy fats, these are whole natural foods chicken, broccoli, cashew nuts but

they're over consuming and they're not taking into consideration their energy

balance, the amount of calories and macros they need to change their body so

why I picked this question out of all the many questions that I get is because

it's very common that this pops up. "I have a good diet, I eat well, but I'm not

losing weight" Having a good diet is not going to be the be-all end-all in

changing your body and getting lean. You have to address how many calories and

macros you need for your goals. So if you want to lose weight and you think you're

just eating clean and you're not seeing results??

my advice is learn about macronutrients.. protein, fats and carbohydrates start

tracking your macros in a calorie deficit . Be consistent okay this isn't a

1 week a 2 week ting yeaaaa... It's going to be a consistent thing that you're going

to do over weeks, months, years and hopefully the rest of your life, and

you're going to shed body fat and you're going to change your life. If you go

around and around in circles trying to eat clean, eating healthy having loads of

healthy fats and you're not seeing any results that's because you're over

consuming food. You're in a calorie surplus consuming more than you need ,or

you're sitting at maintenance. To lose body fat = calorie deficit, good

amount of protein, good amount of fats, and a good amount of carbohydrates and

when you're consistent with hitting your macros you will get results. So guys I

hope that helped you out if you're not getting any results and just eating

clean, you're trying to be good. If you liked that video guys please hit like,

share and subscribe until next time:)

Main Tumhara Kaun Hu - Amandeep Singh feat. Yash Barse - Hindi Beat Poetry - The Habitat - Duration: 3:40.

The evening was laid out beautifully

The evening was laid out beautifully

With eyes bright luminescent eyes she was roaming the market going about her chores

She stole glances more than a few times

And smiled at me too

But she seemed a little upset with me

Understandably so

I was late to arrive

Not just that evening but also into her life

Next week, her father was getting her engaged to someone else

And as soon as she got out of the sweet shop,

I walked upto her and said

"Won't you even talk to me now?"

"Why should I talk to you?"

"Who am I to you and who are you to me?"

Lost in thought, I just stood there looking at her

She prodded further, "What happened? Answer me! Why are you silent?"

"What is our relationship?"

I had no answers to give her that day

But today, I feel I should tell her

But today, I feel I should tell her

I am a trivial

I am limitless

You are unique like a book

I am like an ill-circumstanced question

You are my dream, the answer to my question

I am only half

Just a simple string in this complex yarn

You are delightfully ticklish sensation

You are beautiful like silken cloth

I am immature like a child's claim

You are the wisdom of the universe

I am a hopeful but unfulfilled desire

You are nurture,

The purity contained in the Ganga

I am an incomplete song

You are all of music

I am a ray of hope

While you are it's true definition

I am the light in a lamp

While you shine as bright as the sun

You are the invisible path to the secret of my existence

I am like the arid desert

You are like the fertile farmland of spring

I am like a gust of wind

You are a storm in all its fury

Why are you missing from my the stories of my life?

You are my Geeta, and my Quran too

While I am just a geometrical line

You are the line of fate on my palm

This is a promise of my love

For lifetimes together

But these societal rules won't let us be

Nor am I Krishna and neither are you Radha

Speak Encouragement - Duration: 4:58.

Hello and welcome to today's episode of My Feet of Clay with Teagan Sears.

That's Me!

I have a quote for you!

Today's quote is....

This was first credited to Dale Carnegie.

Have you ever seen a downtrodden man who feels like he has nothing to be happy about?

How about a child at school who has no friends, or a co-worker that is alone and lonely.

The world is filled with such people.

You have only to look around to see them.

It would be easy to turn away, because there is too much pain, and loss, and emptiness

in the world.

How can you expect to make a difference?

It can be easy to get caught up in our own lives and troubles.

But look around.

Someone always has it worse than you.

Get out of yourself and your own comfort zone.

If you refocus, you may see there is a despairing world full of broken people looking desperately

for solace.

But you don't have to reach them all.

Just focus on those you can.

Perhaps you don't have the education to become a counselor, or connections to change public

policy, or funds to become a philanthropist.

But you can reach into the darkness with words of encouragement.

What does it cost you to share a smile, squeeze a shoulder, speak words that uplift, lend

a listening ear, or even sit silently with someone who is struggling?

Perhaps you've heard the story of the little boy walking the beach at low tide.

The sand was littered with thousands and thousands of starfish stranded by the receding water.

The child proceeded to pick up the spiny creatures and toss them as quickly as he could back

into the waves.

A man approached him and said, "Why are you bothering?

You cannot make a difference to these thousands of dying starfish!"

Looking dubious, the boy scooped up another and chucked it as far has his chubby arm could

manage as he replied, "I made a difference to that one!"

Now it is your turn.

Who has God placed in your reach that can benefit from a simple gesture of kindness?

Once you have broken out of your limited comfort zone, perhaps you would consider to move to

the next step and offering help in a more tangible way.

In any event start simply with a few words of appreciation and encouragement and see

if you don't benefit as much as they.

Lift them up out of the darkness and into the light, just by a few simple words of encouragement.

Hey! Thank you very much for watching!

And as always, I'll see you next time! Bye!!

Hey! I've got a trivia question!
