France's Migrant Hero - Between the Scenes | The Daily Show - Duration: 2:36.- That guy out of France was one of the most
amazing things I've ever seen in my life.
There were so many things happening that I struggled...
First of all, I don't know how
he's pulling himself up every single time.
I also don't get how weak the neighbor is.
Because the neighbor's holding the kid.
And the kid is, like, the hero of the story.
That kid's holding on.
Like, the kid is just, like, hanging there.
You're like, what kind of a kid is...
Like, the kid is just hanging on.
And the neighbor is like, "Ah, I cannot save you, ah..."
Because you realize the migrant, like, the guy climbs up,
I don't know if it's five or seven floors,
pulling himself up, and then pulls the child.
With one hand, by the way.
Pulls the child up.
But then the guy who's holding him already
is just like, "Yeah, I cannot do anything."
(audience laughing)
It's almost like, I was, I am suspicious
that the guy who was helping the neighbor,
you find that he doesn't like that kid.
And then the kid was over the edge and he was like,
"Oh no, look, Marie.
"It is the little boy from nextdoor
"who is always waking us up at 4 a.m."
"What has happened?"
"Ah, he has fallen over the balcony.
"Somebody should save him."
"Shit, are you going to save him?"
"I guess so.
"Come on, little boy.
"Ah, I'm saving you.
"Ah, you are so heavy, I cannot lift you.
"It looks like you are going to fall,
"and then I am going to sleep in every morning.
"Oh no, what are we going...
"Wait, what is that man doing?
"Eh, what are you doing?
"Hey, hey, what are you doing?
"What are you doing?
"Okay, you saved the kid.
"Well done, oh."
(laughing)
It's just like a wild...
(audience applauding)
Oh, man.
And, you know, here's my...
The thing for me, the larger moral of the story,
and the thing that frustrates me with people
is how we live in this world of extremes now.
'Cause then I get the joy that people have
in watching that video and going, like,
Mamoudou is now going to be a citizen of France.
People are like, "You see?
"Immigrants are good people."
And it's like no, but...
The reason I don't want to buy into that idea
is because then someone who's racist shows you one video
of a bad immigrant, you know, a gang, drug dealer,
whatever, and they're like, "You see?"
It's like, no, hey, people are people.
There's great people, there's despicable people.
And the whole thing you're trying to fight
is the labeling of everybody as one thing.
(audience applauding)
That's what we're trying to fight.

FALLOUT 76 - Gameplay Mechanics, Online, Micropayments, Fallout 3 Remaster & More - Duration: 13:40.Greetings Earthlings! Welcome to the MadqueenShow!
I am your host the MadQueen
And Mr Ruvver
On today's menu, we have excellent news for you, because Bethesda Game Studios teased
today the new installment of the Fallout saga, called Fallout 76 for the vault 76 that we
see in the teaser
And in just one day a lot of info was leaked, so we'll talk about all this
But: first things first, this is the tease they showed:
I'll go fetch my popcorn
Ou yeah!!
They obviously said that we were going to see more at E3 at their press conference that
will take place on Sunday, June 10th, this E3 is turning out to be really REALLY interesting
I'm so jealous you're going to be there
Bitch
So, what does the teaser say about this new
installment of the Fallout saga?
Let's go for it
This teaser reminds a lot to the first trailer for Fallout 4 that was shown on June 2015,
in Fallout 4's trailer we could see at the same time the setting of Sanctuary before
and after the bombs fell, but in the teaser for the new Fallout, we only see one vault
in the same timeline
This new vault is Vault 76; the same than past Fallout the main vault was vault 111,
where the main protagonist was, and the same way than the lone wanderer in Fallout 3 lived
in vault 101, and the Vault Dweller in Fallout 1 as well as her grandchild the Chosen One
in Fallout 2 were both related to vault 13
every Fallout installment is related
to a vault, except the spin-off Fallout New Vegas, where the courier had no relation to
any vault, and other Fallout universe games that revolved around the Brotherhood of Steel
So, as the main games are related to a specific vault and spin-offs are not, I believe we
can assume that this new game is more or less a Fallout 5 and not a spin-off, although according
to the leaks that appeared that we're going to discuss later, this is a game that is totally
different from the 4 main Fallout games that came before
So, what is Vault 76?
Vault 76 was mentioned in Fallout 3, Fallout 3 DLC Mothership Z and Fallout 4
This vault is one of the 17 known control vaults built by Vault-tech, meaning that it
was used as a baseline to compare to experimental vaults
Yes, these bastards at Vault Tech built all these vaults to experiment with the residents,
in case you didn't remember who are the REAL bad guys in this game
This Vault 76 had 500 residents and it was supposed to be closed for 20 years, meaning
it should be opened in October 2097
As this vault is located in the vicinity of Washington DC area, is thought that when the
events of Fallout 3 took place, in 2277 which is 180 years after Vault 76 was opened, many
residents of DC were descendants of Vault 76's inhabitants
According to Fallout 3, Vault 76 is somewhere north Washington DC, and if we should pay
attention to the song that appears in the teaser, called "Take me home, country roads"
by John Denver, this Vault 76 should be somewhere in West Virginia, that is close enough to
DC to even appear in the Fallout 3 map
What else does this teaser tell us about the game?
We're in the year 2102, 25 years after the Great War that ended the world as we knew it
This war started and ended in a single day: October 23rd, 2077, so according to this PipBoy's
clock, that looks like a version of the Fallout 2 PipBoy, we're 4 days after the 25th anniversary
of the Great War, and also 4 days after the 5th anniversary of the opening of Vault 76
The trailer shows an empty vault except for one resident that we see in the end
Due to the lots of similarities with Fallout 4 teaser, I believe that is safe to assume
that the location we see at the beginning is the main protagonist's quarters
He has in his terminal an invitation to a party that takes place in the vault, most
probably the celebration of the Reclamation Day, a celebration that sounds like celebrating
the opening of the vault when its inhabitants would go out the wasteland and reclaimed these
territories for mankind again
If this is so, then can please someone
explain to me how is it possible that these balloons are still in perfect shape after 5 years?
Maybe they made an anniversary party 4 days ago?
It makes more sense
Apart from what we can see in this teaser
other details of the game are now being leaked although, as usual, only a word from Bethesda
is considered official
And that was a warning and a disclaimer at the same time
According to Jason Schreier, news editor at Kotaku and a journalist that is known for
being if not totally accurate, very close, the new Fallout game will have Online elements
and it was developed by Bethesda in both Maryland and Austin studios
He also makes a very important point in his next tweet: "I think it's really important
to reiterate this: Anyone who spends the next two weeks expecting Fallout: 76 to be a new
traditional single-player RPG will be VERY disappointed"
He insisted about this online components a couple more times on his Twitter account.
He's not the only one with this opinion or knowledge, the Reddit user SoMeh posted
this on Reddit 3 hours before Bethesda showed the teaser on their Twitch Account: "Fallout
is announcing Fallout Vault 76, It's gonna be a game surrounding the base building element
Screenshot and thank me later"
I repeat, three hours before the teaser was shown for the first time, which gives him
some sort of credibility, at least for me, because the number 76 is too precise to be
a guess, and there are other mysterious vaults in the Fallout lore
And for those of you who will say that the message is edited after Bethesda showed
the teaser, let me remind you that Reddit allows to edit the body of the message but
not the title, and Vault 76 is in the title
Although is not the first time that we see the number 76
related to a Fallout game
yes, some anonymous user at 4Chan already talked about that past year, on December
Back to the Reddit user SoMeh
This same user, on the comments of this thread, added that this new Fallout it's a full
game, it's centered around building base camps,
it's online and will be fully released this year
In a different conversation, he added that Fallout 3 remastered was also going to be
introduced on E3
We don't know who this user is, what are their credentials, and they didn't say,
but their first prediction was accurate enough
Back to Kotaku, Jason Shreier has more things to say about Fallout 76, as according to his
article published on Kotaku this afternoon, Fallout 76 is an online survival RPG that
is heavily inspired by games like DayZ and Rust, as it was revealed to him by three people
familiar with the project; this is an experimental new take of the post-apocalyptic saga
Originally prototyped as a multiplayer version of Fallout 4, with the goal of envisioning
what an online Fallout game might look like, Fallout 76 has evolved quite a bit over the
past few years: it will have quests and a story, it will also feature base building
and other survival based multiplayer mechanics
Oh, Bethesda, so much for your love for single players
The bad part is: when we talk about multipolayer
we all have the same concern in mind
Yes.
Micropayments
A good portion of this game is developed at Bethesda Game Studios Austin, formerly known
as BattleCry studios, studio that was founded as a subsidiary of ZeniMax media, the group
owner of Arkane Studios, Id Software, machine Games, Tango Gameworks and Bethesda Softworks,
so when in March this year BattleCry Studios turned into Bethesda Game Studios Austin it
changed more in branding than in hands
Back in 2012, when the first speculations about a Fallout online game started, eurogamer
was the first to notice that BattleCry studios, now Bethesda Game Studios Austin, that at this time
was rumored to be working on an online version of Fallout
So rumors weren't that far from the truth
published a job posting where they were looking
for a monetization designer, who would "develop and manage the economics and monetization
of the game", the posting also requested the "design and implementation of micro-transactions
systems and services"
And just a reminder, this studio had nothing to do with Elder Scrolls Online, so not the
game we're talking about in here
But all this happened in 2012, and according to Kotaku the original idea for a Fallout
online game has evolved since the first days, so go figure how is this going to be implemented
Unfortunately, all this is just leaks and theories, and the only thing we can be sure
of is that Bethesda is going to announce a new Fallout game this E3
Well, folks, thanks for watching, I hope you find this information useful and amusing

HE SAYS THE FOLLOWING, GRAPHIC 30:
THIS IS TYPICAL TRUMP.

ACTUALLY SAID, CALLING VALERIE GERMINATE, NOT AN ISSUE,
NOT WERE THIS TIME, NOT BOTHERING TO TWEET ABOUT THAT.
NUMBER TWO, HE SAYS IGOR IS FRIENDS WITH JERRY AND THAT
PART IS TRUE.
I THINK THAT TAKES A PART IN IT.
HE SAYS INSULTING ANYONE GETS YOU FIRED FROM TV APPARENTLY.
NO, THAT IS NOT HOW IT WORKS.
SHE WAS NOT FIRED FOR INSULTING VALERIE JARRETT, SHE WAS
FIRED FOR SAYING RACIST THINGS ABOUT BLACK PEOPLE.
YOU CANNOT BE RACIST AGAINST ORANGE PEOPLE.
WHEN PEOPLE SAY THINGS ABOUT YOU, IT IS NOT BECAUSE YOU
ARE ORANGE, IT IS BECAUSE YOU ARE DONALD TRUMP AND YOU
GET TO CRITICIZE ANYONE IN THE COUNTRY LET ALONE THE
PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES WHO IS A POLITICIAN SO YOU
ARE CONFLATING TWO THINGS.
YOU MIGHT THINK HE IS DOING IT ON PURPOSE TO TRICK HIS
FOLLOWERS.
NO, I THINK HE DOES NOT KNOW THE DIFFERENCE.
IT DID NOT OCCUR TO HIM THAT IS RACIST, THAT IS ABOUT A WHOLE
GROUP OF PEOPLE AND THIS IS JUST ABOUT ME AND I AM A POLITICIAN.
HE JUST THOUGHT NOT FAIR, NOT FAIR.
YOU CALLED FOR HER NOT FOR ME.
HE IS A CHILD.
IF HE HAD UNMITIGATED POWER IT WOULD BE A CRIMINAL
OFFENSE TO SAY ANYTHING BAD ABOUT HIM.
NO QUESTION ABOUT IT BUT HERE'S MY FAVORITE PART OF THE STORY.
SARAH HUCKABEE SANDERS ON TUESDAY, BEFORE DONALD TRUMP
TWEETED SAID THAT IS NOT WHAT THE PRESIDENT IS LOOKING AT
WHEN ASKED ABOUT THIS ISSUE.
THAT IS NOT WHAT HE IS SPENDING HIS TIME ON.

I THINK WE HAVE A LOT BIGGER THINGS GOING ON IN THE
COUNTRY RIGHT NOW.
GROUPS.
WHAT ARE YOU DOING?
YOU DO NOT KNOW TRUMP, YOU DON'T KNOW THE HE IS GOING TO BE
OBSESSED ABOUT THE DRAMA AROUND CELEBRITIES AND TV?
AND THAT HE IS INVARIABLY GOING TO TWEET ABOUT IT?
SARAH HUCKABEE STANDARDS, THIS IS MAYBE THE BIGGEST
MISTAKE YOU HAVE EVER MADE.
NO ONE CARES, SHE CAN GO UP AND SAY WHATEVER SHE WANTS.
IF YOU CRITICIZE HER YOU ARE A TERRIBLE PERSON.
AND BY THE WAY, AGAINST WOMEN.
BUT SOMEBODY SHOULD JUST PLAY HER COMMENTS BACK TO HER AND GO
TO YOU NOW AGREE GIVEN THAT THE PRESIDENT DID SPEND HIS TIME ON
THE ISSUE RATHER THAN POLICY, THAT THE PRESIDENT THINKS
THAT IT IS MORE IMPORTANT, YOU SAID IT WASN'T, THAT HE WOULDN'T
SPEND HIS TIME ON IT BECAUSE IT IS NOT AS IMPORTANT AS POLICY.
DO YOU NOW AGREE THAT THE PRESIDENT THINKS IT IS MORE IN
POLICY THAN POLICY ISSUES LIKE NORTH KOREA ARE OTHER
MASSIVE ISSUES THAT HE HAS TO CONCERN HIMSELF WITH?
DO YOU AGREE THAT THE PRESIDENT IS A CHILD AND WHEN HE SEES
SOMETHING CHINA SHINY ON TV HE CAN HELP A TWEET ABOUT IT?
COME ON.
I CAN'T BELIEVE SHE WOULD MAKE THAT MISTAKE.
THE PRESIDENT WOULD NEVER STOP TO TALKING ABOUT ROSEANNE BARR.
HAVE YOU MET THE PRESIDENT?

How to Write an About Page - Duration: 10:56.Hi today, I want to talk to you about how to write a killer about page so
Imagine your dream client has just landed on your website. They like what they see and they want to know more about you curious
They head to your about page
Does your about page
inspire your dream client?
Does it compel them to want to work with you? Or is it a boring few hundred words cut and paste from your CV?
Did you know that your about page can make or break the sale? people aren't just buying products
They're buying an experience and interaction, a human touch
People don't buy from brands people buy from people people buy it from you
Your about page is about so much more than just your qualifications your history and your hobby
It's about you your story your brand and your why
Your about page is the equivalent of a cup of tea and a chat with your customers a chance to get to know you
and wy you're here
Doing what you do every day
Have a look around at the people you admire and engage with online
How did their about pages read you'll notice that the really good ones tell a story a personal?
Relatable story that evokes emotions in the reader happiness empathy sadness
excitement
motivation inspiration a good about page
draws your customers in and should leave them feeling like they know you or at least part of you and that
They want to get to know you better
It's like the website
equivalent of speed dating you have 30 seconds to engage your customer and be
memorable and I'm not talking about being different for the sake of being different but there are
considerations that will transform your about page from mundane to mesmerizing so as with all things
Marketing your about page should be targeted at your target audience
And I know I harp on about target audiences all the time
But seriously every single thing you do comes back to your dream client
When you're writing your about page
Your ideal audience should feel that there you are talking to them personally as if you were there face to face
Explaining your story to them just as you would at a networking event
Or some other face-to-face meeting
So three simple questions to ask yourself before you sit down and write your engaging killer about page
So how do you want your audience to feel when they are reading your about page?
Intrigued is pretty much number one for me wanting to know more
comforted
confident
You know think about the barriers that people have cited about
people that they've used before in your industry and and
What turned them off the contractor that they were using for the consultant and what made them come to you?
a lot of people come to me because they have
had a poor experience with a
Marketing consultant or a website designer and they have a look at my website and felt
Confident that I could help them and solve their problems. So what action do you then want them to take?
And make sure that's clear on your about page subscribe
contact
Pick up the phone
So what can you change for your customers and more time less overwhelm more money less mental clutter
More bananas for your apples. Just think about the
Transformation that you deliver. So here's a really quick guide on how to real your customers in hook line & sinker
So the hook, what's your big opener? So this is your big chance at capturing your audience's attention with a big fold
Memorable statement or a question to pique your readers interests. Your opener should leave no doubt in your readers mind
They have found someone they want to connect with
so
Things like are you ready to step into greatness and live your truth? I
Am here to help you achieve your dreams today
I'm here to set you free
Freedom's a big one especially in a lot of business side of things
More time more money more freedom to do the things you love doing
Another one is what would you do if you had more time sometimes another metric that is really powerful
The line so we've had the hook have a think about it workshop it the line
Here's your opportunity to distill your genius into one line
So declare it how you solve your one big problem for your audience and you've been through the dream client workbook
so you have
Interrogated your dream clients in your mind and on paper not in real life
They're big fears frustrations
their dreams aspirations
So we're all in the business of providing
Solutions for our clients and so focus on the solution that you deliver in your own unique way
so for me, it's I create digital bread and gas I
Create engaging digital brands without the tech overwhelm so tech everyone's a big thing for my clients that they find
especially obviously in the digital space that I work in tech they just it's scary and it's big and
they're over it and it's just not something they want to deal with so I take that off their hands and that I
Relieve them of that tech overwhelm, but at the same time I deliver them an engaging digital brand
So that's the solution I deliver so you can say I'm Jane and I help small business
Build a website that can be proud of without technical dramas
So website shame is a big thing that my clients come to me. You know, I've had my website since you know, 2014, 2015
It's really outdated. Can you update it for me? I don't even want to hand out my business cards anymore. So
That's something
Pride is another thing that I can deal with
So I'm Jane and I am passionate about helping working mums find balance in their lives so they can spend more time with their kids
Without worrying about their business it's the time and and and the outcome that that delivers to my client is important to them
So more timely be kids. That's why so many of us
Work at home moms. Do what we do. So we have that freedom to spend more time with that kids. So a simple formula is
you help your target audience achieve X goal without
Their number one pain point that we talked about last week. So keep it simple and stick with one problem and your unique solution
Think about the number one thing you do
To deliver a solution to your clients. So this is often called an elevator pitch and then just distill it to the simplest and least
cluttered form and then you'll have your one line and
Connection message it's that message where you really establish that connection and deliver that
Engagement to your client and they feel that you understand them. You have empathy
for their problem or their pain point
And that you are the person who has a solution for them and you understand their pain
So this can take a few goes and a bit of workshopping so you can come over to smart women in business
Facebook group and discuss it if you like
And the final part is the sinker. So this is the chance to show how you got to where you are today
What were the pivotal moments in your journey? What was your revelation your turning point your aha moment. a
Lot of the gurus at the moment talking about how they had to hit rock bottom and they had ten dollars in their bank account
You don't need to do that. You just talk about
Your journey as to how you came to get to the solution that you deliver for your clients and why?
What happened in your life that helps you deliver your unique solution? What problems did you see in your clients where you went?
This is the this is where my solution is unique and this is what I deliver to my clients
And this is why it's important because we all do different things in different ways
And that's why we all have different clients and we all have different ways of going about what we do
I can build a website like the next person but it's the way I do it
It's the how I do things that sets me apart
So tell your story in a personal way you can really go deeply personal if you want and think about
The writing that you love to read and the about pages that you have
With and in reality for many of us, our target audiences are a reflection of us
although I always say the target audience, isn't you they are often a
Reflection on us and what we love and what we love to do and why we're in business
so bring more of that love into your about page, so
remember be authentic always your customers are here for you and you alone in saying that unless you're in team and
You can introduce yourself as individuals and have your own
little
quirky individual about paragraphs you can talk about
If you have a company, you can talk about your about page as your overall holistic view or your mission
and how you do things differently in your company and then you can introduce the individual team members because remember that your clients are
Coming to your website. They're seeing your about page and wanting to know more
the reason they're reading their about your about page is they want to know the why of the
Organization or the individual so this is your chance to not just say we're deliver innovative
solutions you say this is why we do it we do this because
we saw that our customers were frustrated with
Tech but still wanted engaging digital brand and we needed to find a solution in the middle of that
So have a think about your uniqueness what you do and how you deliver it?
So write it in the first person not the third person sounds icky and weird
Just as it feels icky and weird to write about ourselves in the third person
so if I've tried it different ways for different organizations I've written with and
Yep, writing first. This makes it more powerful
So make it strong make it powerful make it meaningful
and
If you want to thrash it out
As I said hit me up on my facebook page or come to the smart women in business Facebook group
unless you're a guy sorry and
Don't forget to subscribe
Because there's more goodness coming next week. Oh and you can download your about page
Worksheet in the link underneath for at the bottom wherever you're at
