Waching daily May 31 2018

(news clips)

Welcome to Psych IRL. My name is Donna.

You should do an analysis of Philip DeFranco.

Sup you beautiful B. Phil's approach to reporting the news, counters the familiar

format of mainstream media.

On the surface, this may make it seem like it would lead to his channel's failure due

to the fact that it diverts from the already proven successful "news model", However,

it's clear to see when looking at his analytics how his show has impacted an audience that

is sometimes far greater than many mainstream media outlets.

Meanwhile they see me, just some schmuck with an editor and in the past 30 days getting

37 million views.

Their average time on site is supposed to be around 2 minutes.

Ours is 8 minutes plus.

I mean that could make you feel like garbage if you're someone that looks more outward

that inward.

That then leaves the question, despite not following a winning news model, how has Phil

created something so successful?

To really understand how DeFranco has persevered we need to look at mainstream news stations.

When you look at the presentation of mainstream news, you realize a lot of them are similar.

Reporters are often dressed in suits or business attire giving the illusion of authority, professionalism,

and importance.

This phenomena is similar to the white lab coat effect, where individuals judge how much

authority you have based on what you wear.

Although your local news is dependent on your region in the US, the accent they speak in,

is the same.

News reporters from the South speak exactly the same as news reporters from the West Coast.

Eye witness news at 11am.

I'm Philip Palmer and I'm Leslie Sykes.

We're getting a clearer picture of what happened inside that texas church.

Monday is memorial day but here's something you may not know.

It was originally called decoration day because of the tradition of decorating graves with

flowers.

This is deliberately done so the message is understood at a national level, but it makes

for hilarious commentary when reporters mess up and you hear them speaking normally.

What really happened on that Thursday here on Agusta Highschool that led to Chris Wood's D.

The F is that?

Philip Defranco also has a deliberate presentation for his show.

Serving as an homage to how he started, the set for his show takes place in what seems

to be a regular home office or bedroom.

Behind the scenes, you can see that Defranco is actually in a larger space, an office,

or studio.

Okay just as an update, as I'm editing this, Phil puts out a tweet that says moving to

the new office on Friday.

Pretty much everything except the part my office that is on camera has been moved to

the new studio.

So ready excited for this.

Thank you for being with me on this ride.

Oops read that wrong.

His dress code seems to be business casual often wearing button up shirts, but he isn't

afraid to go full casual on some days.

To me, his set up gives an essence of professionalism mixed with "regular guy".

You'd think that not going full on professional would discredit him aka suit and studio background,

but it doesn't.

YouTube being the medium, a lot of viewers become dedicated fans to someone because of

personality.

You notice human quirks in these vlog style videos that make you see the creator as more

human than these polished suits that talk funny.

I so pale.

You're on air (whispers).

Today snow is crippling much of the Washington Low Lands.

One of three inches of snow fell on Seattle in other areas.

In fact, going too professional sometimes makes viewers lose interest in a creator because

it seems like they've lost their humanness.

For example, a comedy/opinion channel that comments on news in a humorous way called

Just Kidding News, stepped up their production game by moving their set to a more news like

setting.

They still kept their comical vibe in the set design, but viewers still felt like the

change was too much like TV and they didn't like it.

The crew ended up shooting back at their old office, holes in the wall and all.

Defranco understands this YouTube trope and designed his show with that in mind.

This is someone you know or can get to know by the backlog of old videos.

Some very cringey yes, but that's what personalizes the whole experience for viewers.

What really do you know about this reporter and would you care if he got replaced?

A good amount of profit is based on ad revenue.

There are other things like subscriptions and donations, so this is me explaining things

at the most basic sense.

Basically, Ford.

A company like Ford pays X news network for money.

Ahhhh.

A company like Ford pays X news network for airtime and this is how the network profits.

Phil is paid in a similar fashion but the ads are through youtube and this format may

lead to his downfall.

Ultimately YouTube acts as a sales team and chooses what ads go where.

Zoella gets everyone trying to sell lipstick, Casey Neistat gets people who are interested

in filmmaking, and so forth.

Unfortunately, according to YouTube's Advertiser friendly content guidelines one topic that

is not advertiser friendly and can cause demonetization are videos that talk about controversial issues

and sensitive events.

They have this is what's considered not appropriate.

Controversial or sensitive subjects even if graphic imagery is not shown.

How are you supposed to cover news?

Pretty much every time we talk about a natural disaster it's not thumb and title.

We try and get people to donate money and help.

How? What?

Yeah looking through these videos a lot of people were saying, maybe it's just the tags.

Some of the videos being hit don't even have anything that can be construed as offensive

in the tags.

This appears to be a straight attack on the content of the video.

I was kind of hoping those people were right.

This could be the beginning of something horrible where I'm just worried that this video is

going to be shut down.

Thankfully Defranco has fought against this by selling his merch, attaining sponsorships,

using affiliate links, and fan funding on patreon.

He is also engaging an audience outside of youtube through his app Defranco Now.

Information in mainstream news follows a formula.

The information seems objective but how the questions are framed follows a partisan.

Fox News leans more right while CNN leans more left.

This isn't something that's surprising.

It's one of the first things you learn in school when you start learning about how to

research a topic.

Despite everyone who has gone through middle school/jr. high knowing this, MSM continues

on to be lucrative.

The reality is, money isn't made by covering both sides and revealing the truth.

It's made by clicks, views, and sensationalism.

Dividing the audience into left and right leaning, keeps them watching their preferred

network.

The stories may anger people, but the networks rarely do and if it did, you could just change

the channel.

Before I move on I want to say there is completely no unbiased news sources.

As long as advertisers are the companies that keep these things afloat, reporters will always

report the news in a way that doesn't lose them money.

Though nothing is truly unbiased, I believe Defranco comes close.

He counters how MSM presents information by presenting both sides, and then his opinion.

Rosanne Barr then eventually deleting that tweet.

Later tweeting.

I apologize.

I am now leaving Twitter.

I apologize to Valarie Jarrett and to all Americans.

I am truly sorry for making a bad joke about her politics and her looks.

I should have known better.

Forgive me.

My joke was in bad taste

Now obviously this part is my opinion and I say this as someone that on this show has

defended comedians many times, I don't know if that was really a joke.

With all that said, I do want to pass of that question to you.

What is your take away from this situation.

Did you see this as a bad joke that didn't land or is this just an example of.

He humanizes the whole news experience.

But presenting things in an unbiased way can have its disadvantages.

Sometimes you're not going to agree with him and he states this over and over again.

In contrast to MSM where most people agree on what's being reported, Phil risks his

business by stating his opinion.

As I stated before, a lot of his income is fan funded, his merch and patreon.

If viewers hear something they don't like, it may be possible they stop supporting him

financially.

In spite of me naming these financial challenges, DeFranco succeeds and he succeeds because

of something simple, trust.

But trust isn't easily gained from someone behind a screen.

Defranco first gains trust by showing the reality of the situation and how things aren't

always black and white.

All these sites came out of the woodworks saying that Felix is a.

He's an anti.

He's a.

In that video making commentary that the YouTube Heros program is like.

YouTube heros are like and are bad.

You're not going to get that context when you have journalists who are going through

hundreds and hundreds of videos.

Just going like...

He also gains trust when he often defends those he does not agree with.

While watching that video will make me angry.

If we don't allow that to exist in the world, that flag doesn't necessarily represent everything

that I want it to represent.

Freedom isn't freedom if you constantly drawing lines in the sand of what you can criticize

and what you can disrespect.

You see someone doing something with free speech that you don't agree with, you use

your own free speech.

Phil meets with people that do not necessarily share the same political views as him and

the conversation is decent.

he has refused to monetize on a number of tragedies despite knowing these videos will

get millions of views, and whereas most channels will not comment on the actions of friends,

Phil has done this multiple times.

Now before moving forward, because I feel like it is very important to be transparent.

I am friendly with Ethan from h3h3 so I wanted to let you know that so you have all the information

but know that that will not change how I cover this story.

Though some may not agree with his opinions, I think his fans realize this and support

him anyway due to trust.

Phil sometimes presents ideas that may be opposite to ours, but that's okay and we

should be open to that.

In a time where "the like algorithm" has created massive bubbles in America, it's

important to support creators like Phil.

Platforms like Facebook and YouTube have not done this deliberately, but individuals only

click what they want to see.

The algorithm then recommends videos that are similar to this feeding the individual

only information he/she agrees with, which can create an extremist opinion.

We are rarely hit with information that disagrees with our beliefs and when we are, we often

refuse to listen and respond back with anger.

That's the end of the video.

I'll see you guys next time.

Stay psyched.

Alright I'm done.

Experiencing These 13 Signs Means You Are Highly Sensitive to Energy - Duration: 4:50.

If you can see what others can't, maybe you are a highly intuitive empath who is also

extremely sensitive to energy.

Highly sensitive people such as empaths actually can see what other people cannot.

One thing that they can see is energy or aura of other people.

On this video, I'm going to share with you the list of signs that you can see, and it

also means you may belong to highly sensitive person.

Please subscribe, click the bell and watch this video until the end to know the complete

information.

Experiencing These 13 Signs Means You Are Highly Sensitive to Energy

#1 - Feeling other people's emotion

We all know that empaths can read minds, and they also can pick up other people's emotion.

However, what makes highly sensitive people different is the ability to pick up energy

of others even though they are not around.

You can track the energy field of certain person, and you absorb it as if it is yours.

#2 - Overwhelmed by crowd

Another common trait of highly sensitive people is overwhelmed by the crowd.

It cannot be avoided especially in a public place.

That is why you always prefer quiet place and hang out with small group of people.

#3 - Sensitive to senses

People can feel something through their senses.

However, empaths or highly sensitive people have stronger sense to feel light, sound,

smell, sound, and touch.

#4 - Highly creative and expressive person

In simple examples, you can fill pages and pages of journals, you feel the need to listen

to music all the time.

After all, It's how you can diffuse a lot of the emotion you don't realize you're

stuck having to process.

#5 - You cannot prove it

What you feel cannot be felt by others.

You can say that someone is lying, but others will perceive you as accusing them with no

proof.

You only know whether your intuition is right after something happens to others.

#6 - Too sensitive

Since you can physically feel others, other people will be confused if you suddenly change

your behavior.

Sometimes, you are shocked that someone is being lied or hurt, and people will think

that you are being too sensitive because you do not even know that person.

#7 - Feeling "déja vu," or other strange coincidences and synchronicities.

Believe it or not, you're frequently experiencing de ja vu in your every encounters.

In reality, these are not things that happen upon us as gifts or signs from a greater unknown,

but rather things we simply notice or create out of a deeper intuitive understanding or

sense.

#8 - Lie detector

People cannot just see lies especially from master of manipulation such narcissists.

Empaths, however, can see that easily.

Empaths sharpen their senses multiple times to see what others feel and that is why they

can see when people lie to them.

#9 - Strangers find you highly approachable, and people are always randomly opening up

to you while waiting on line at the grocery store; you're the friend everyone turns

to for advice.

#10 - No violence please

People may also think empaths crazy because they cannot watch fun movies on TV.

Empaths know that the violence is just an act.

However, they are too sensitive to understand that it is not hurting others.

We know that stuntman for in the movie may be hurt somewhat.

#11 - Avoiding unhealthy friendship

Your energy can be depleted easily if you are around with other people with troubles.

That is why you always try to avoid such kind of person along with their relationship.

#12 - Desire to constantly help others

In your work, or your environment, whatever that may be, there is always an underlying

desire, or the urge to help others in whatever way you can help.

It's not like that you help others to please them, but it is more like that you're uncomfortable

when you're not doing so.

#13 - You're most at peace when you're outside, even if you don't realize it.

You have to get out in the sunlight at least a few times a day (and a succession of cloudy

days or bad weather truly affects your spirit).

Well, those are some signs you might be a highly intuitive empath who is also extremely

sensitive to energy.

Ranking The Royal Wedding Dresses From Worst To First - Duration: 9:19.

When Prince Harry announced his marriage to Meghan Markle, there was a ton of speculation

about just what kind of wedding dress her royal highness-to-be would choose.

Would she opt for an elegant Alexander McQueen gown, like Kate Middleton?

Or might she choose a piece that paid homage to Harry's late mother, Princess Diana?

Others wondered if she'd go a completely different route and choose something totally untraditional

to celebrate the spirit of her union.

In the end, she seemed to find a happy medium between classic and contemporary with her

choice of a stunning Givenchy gown.

Like many of her bridal predecessors, Markle's wedding attire was meant to be remembered

in the context of royal history, so let's take a look back at all the recent regal wedding

gowns, starting with the worst and working our way back up to the best.

Epic proportions

Princess Diana, the people's princess, was a fashion icon who used her love of color

to signal her approachability and ditched the stuffy gloves so she could hold other

people's hands.

As the budding bride of Charles, the heir apparent, her wedding was of immense interest

to the entire world, which meant her dress had to be a sight worth tuning in for.

As David Emanuel, designer of the famous dress, told Entertainment Tonight:

"This dress had to be young and sweet, but it also had to be glam because she was going

to be a royal princess.

She couldn't do a quiet-looking, low-key little gown"

Her gown featured a record-breaking 25-foot-long train, which was embroidered by hand with

pearls and sequins.

While the dress certainly made a statement, it hasn't exactly held up by most modern fashion

standards, which makes it no surprise that her daughters-in-law didn't opt to emulate

that sprawling design with their own nuptial gowns.

All that fabric still gets lugged around a lot, though, because it makes for a popular

museum attraction!

Royal blue

Whether you're the most ardent Anglophile or just a casual fan of Netflix's The Crown,

chances are you've heard of King Edward VIII's abdication of the throne to marry Wallis Simpson.

Their star-crossed love story was practically made for television.

The couple reportedly met while she was married and he was still a prince, and the two entered

into a relationship shortly before Edward became king.

But being king meant he wouldn't be able to marry Simpson, the American socialite who

was a two-time divorcee.

So, less than a year after taking the throne, Edward stepped away from his royal responsibilities

in order to marry her.

Although this didn't exactly sit well with the Windsor family, Edward was given a new

title as the Duke of Windsor and spent the rest of his life with the woman he loved,

after marrying her in a private ceremony in France in 1937.

The black and white photos of the day make Simpson's dress appear white or cream, but

her dress was actually a simple silk Mainbocher gown made of a custom color that would later

be called "Wallis Blue."

Considering it was her third trip down the aisle, Simpson opted for a very low-key and

unfussy ensemble that made it very clear this was not the typical royal wedding ceremony.

Not that there was any confusion about that, of course.

Over sized

Although Sarah "Fergie" Ferguson's name became synonymous with scandal back in the late 2000s,

her royal wedding to Prince Andrew in 1986 was a pretty blissful affair.

"That is incredible because it doesn't seem that long ago."

"It is.

Look at my face.

Looong."

Though Ferguson was feisty even then, her wedding dress was somewhat typical of the

late '80s.

Lindka Cierach, an African-born British fashion designer, created the dress made of ivory

satin with large shoulder pads and incorporated a ton of beading work.

Ferguson's dress was basically a scrapbook of embroidery documenting her relationship

with Andrew, from the heart shapes that signified their love, to the anchors and waves, which

represented Andrew's naval career.

Plus there were beaded bumblebees and thistles to represent Ferguson's family crest and the

train, which was 17 feet long and featured the couple's initials on top of everything

else.

That's a lot of dress for an already large personality.

Part turtleneck

The '70s was a weird era for fashion, so Princess Anne, Queen Elizabeth II's only daughter,

could chalk up her wedding dress choice to the zany time period when she married Captain

Mark Phillips.

Even by that standard, though, Anne's gown was still pretty peculiar.

The princess chose a design by Maureen Baker, who, at the time, was the head designer for

the brand Susan Small.

The Tudor-style gown featured piping on the bodice and a high neckline, which basically

made it look like an oversized turtleneck sweater.

On top of that, the ballooned Medieval sleeves tapered at the wrists were another interesting

choice.

Despite its oddities, however, the dress still somehow managed to be quite flattering to

the princess.

Flight attendant

Princess Anne's first marriage to Captain Mark Phillips started to dissolve in 1989

and the two were divorced by 1992.

Later that same year, the princess married Commander Timothy Laurence.

Although Anne's wedding dress this time was much simpler than the medieval Maureen Baker

creation, it was still a turtleneck, seriously.

Anne wore the very modest suit, which stopped at the knee, with a matching white jacket

and black shoes, making her look a bit like a flight attendant.

Cap feather

When Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles finally wed in 2005, Bowles picked an appropriate

outfit for the occasion: a white chiffon gown paired with a light blue and gold damask dress

coat.

The coat, made by Robinson Valentine, featured a tasteful amount of gold embroidery throughout,

including a design around the collar which matched her gold feather headdress.

While Bowles undoubtedly looked lovely, the dramatic headdress was a little on the distracting

side.

A veil would not have made sense with her ensemble, of course, but perhaps a smaller

headpiece would've been a more fitting accompaniment to her big day look.

Of course, it wouldn't be the last time her taste in hats would distract from an otherwise

fine wedding day ensemble.

Simply '90s

When Prince Edward, the Queen's youngest son, wed Sophie Rhys-Jones in 1999, their vows

were exchanged in front of 200 million TV viewers.

And although her dress was very indicative of the '90s thanks to those shoulder pads,

her v-neck gown could easily be refashioned for today.

From far away, Rhys-Jones' gown seems pretty minimalist, other than the long veil, but

there is a lot more to this ensemble than meets the eye.

Part of the gown was made of hand-dyed silk organza and it was also embellished with a

whopping 325,000 pearls and crystal beads, which meant this wedding gown was definitely

fit for Rhys-Jones' new title as the Countess of Wessex.

Timeless elegance

Ahead of Meghan Markle's big day, there was a lot of speculation about which designer

the former Suits actress would wear, and in the end, Markle opted for a gleaming white

silk A-line gown with three-quarter-sleeves and a delicate off-the-shoulder neckline.

The classic piece was paired with a 16-foot silk veil with hand-embroidered flowers from

each of the 53 Commonwealth countries, and she also donned a tiara belonging to Queen

Mary.

While some royal wedding viewers thought Markle's bridal gown was a bit understated, others

were impressed by the new Duchess' decision to keep it simple, and only time will tell

how the look holds up for future generations of royal watchers.

Lace up

These days, Queen Elizabeth is known for her brightly colored outfits.

Whether she's donning pink or a lime green suit, she certainly doesn't shy away from

making bold fashion statements.

Although her use of color has evolved over time, the Queen seems to have always had an

eye for style, and her own wedding dress selection was no exception.

Although it's probably not a dress you'd say yes to today, it's still pretty amazing, especially

for having been made in 1947.

Designed by Norman Hartnell and inspired by Sandro Botticelli's Primavera, the then-princess'

ivory-colored satin dress was embroidered in a floral pattern with silver thread.

The dress was also embellished with white seed pearls imported from the United States

and had a long silk tulle train attached at the shoulders.

Maybe her look was a bit extra, but what else could one expect from the budding Queen of

the commonwealth?

Keeping classy

Princess Margaret, Queen Elizabeth's sister, married fashion photographer Antony Armstrong-Jones

in 1960.

Their big day was the first royal wedding ever broadcast on television and it pulled

in about 300 million viewers.

And while she may have been hoping to say "I do" to Peter Townsend before their engagement

was doused by royal tradition, Margaret didn't disappoint.

Norman Hartnell, the same designer who created Queen Elizabeth's stunning gown, created Margaret's.

Although the princess' dress incorporated silk organza much like the Queen's, it was

much simpler overall but still looked like the quintessential princess dress.

The full skirt alone required over 30 meters of fabric, and even more phenomenal was Margaret's

dramatic tiara.

Designed for Lady Poltimore in the 1870s, it looked more like it was made for her.

True self

Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding was the event of the decade, since he's second

in line to assume the throne and has been popular since his childhood, so the expectation

for the Duchess of Cambridge to impress was very high.

Luckily, her decadent gown ended up being a fashion victory.

The bodice was inspired by Victorian-era corsets, and the silk bottom of her gown was made to

resemble a blooming flower, a detail that could only be seen when the 9-foot-long train

was lifted.

Middleton's lace sleeves were also a great touch and followed the tradition of some of

the royal brides before her.

If Kate hadn't already stolen everyone's hearts before marrying her Prince, she certainly

won the world over as the picture perfect, modern princess bride.

Hong Seyeon, you won't be able to

attend my inauguration.

Rather than the inauguration...

You'll be going to jail.

(Episode 64)

Hong Seyeon.

You are under arrest for embezzlement

and creating an illegal slush fund.

Eun Gyeonghye.

You are under arrest for the hit-and-run accident

in Yangpyeong 5 years ago.

Seyeon.

Madam CEO.

Madam Chairman.

You committed a hit-and-run?

Just how low are you?

You think having me arrested so that

you can own the company by yourself isn't low?

You aren't qualified to inherit this company.

Not because you're not his real granddaughter...

But because you're an evil criminal!

Are you okay?

Tell me why I was arrested and what this is about.

It's complicated.

You've taken the fall for Jang Myeonghwan's

slush fund and embezzlement.

Gyeonghye did it, didn't she?

It's my fault.

I set a trap so that Chairman Eun Gitae's successor...

Would take the fall for Jang Myeonghwan's crimes

and be arrested for them.

I never imagined you'd be the one

to fall into that trap.

I'll do my best to clear your name quickly.

Please be patient.

I gave the USB drive with the hit-and-run video...

To the police.

I didn't want to believe it.

Gyeonghye.

Let's pay for what you did and start over.

Mom will help.

You won't get your way, Lady Geum.

You want to send me to jail and give

Seyeon the entire company but that won't happen.

Gyeonghye.

I gave them the USB drive...

Because I know better than anyone...

How miserable life is when you hide a crime

that you've committed.

Crime begets crime.

I sent Myeonghwan into the operating room today...

So he can die.

Gyeonghye...

If you have any love for me as your daughter...

End it with the hit-and-run.

Don't say a word about Myeonghwan to the cops.

Myeonghwan.

Did...

Eun Gyeonghye

kill you?

Gyeonghye. Gyeonghye.

I'll kill you.

I'll kill you.

I'll kill...

Hey, you!

Hey, you. I'm a doctor!

Bring Gyeonghye right now!

- Hey. Hey. / - Keep it down!

Hey, hey...

I was abducted.

Talk to me for 10 minutes.

You'll know I'm a doctor.

I'm not crazy. Look.

A crazy person acts out, not plead like I do.

I'm fine.

- Hey. / - You're completely insane.

Hey! Hey!

Over here. I'm not crazy!

I'm not crazy...

I'm not crazy!

Hey...

It looks bad.

The dashcam video

of the hit-and-run is a crucial piece of evidence.

What about the company?

Pardon?

Both Seyeon and I are being held by the police.

Things must be bad since

the top management is out.

There's a lot of turmoil.

These scandals are having a great effect.

All the businesses other than the factories

are about to come to a stop.

It'll be the greatest crisis since the company's founding.

You must return as soon as possible

to resolve the problem.

Give the police evidence that Seyeon was framed...

For embezzlement and the slush fund.

Submit records and details regarding changing...

The name on the accounts.

Madam Chairman.

It'll take a long time for me to get out of here.

The company will crumble beyond repair before then.

Once Seyeon is released,

support her the best you can

so that Winners can overcome this crisis.

Yes, madam.

You were able to resolve it sooner than I expected.

I thought it would take a few weeks.

Thank you.

Chairman Eun Gyeonghye

stepped in before we could do anything.

Crucial evidence proving your innocence was

submitted to the Prosecutors' Office.

Why would she?

I think she did it to save the company.

The company is struggling badly

since the two of you were arrested.

No one outside of the company knows yet

but word is circulating internally.

You must fill in

for Chairman Eun Gyeonghye as well.

I'll escort you to the office.

No. I need to go home.

There's something I must tell my family.

Yes, madam. I understand.

Let's...

Go after 10 minutes.

I need to prepare myself.

I need to explain everything to my family.

But I don't think I can do it.

From what I've seen, your family...

May need time to accept it

but they will understand everything eventually.

Don't feel too pressured.

Why did you call all of us here together?

What is it that you need to tell us?

Seonhui, Cheolsu...

Ganghui. What I'm about to say

will be hard to believe.

Seyeon, what is it?

I'm getting a little scared.

Not long ago,

I found out who my paternal grandfather was.

Paternal grandfather?

Chairman Eun Gitae of Winners Group, who recently

passed away was my paternal grandfather.

Poor Seyeon. Her breakup must've been too traumatic.

- Yeah. / - I think so too. Have you been drinking?

There should be news articles out by now...

That I was the heiress of Winners Group

and that I inherited the company.

Wait.

(Winners Group's hidden heiress becomes CEO)

What is this? This doesn't make sense.

When Seyeon was an infant,

her birth parents were in a car accident.

In the craze of it all,

Seyeon and the Winner's Group granddaughter

got switched.

Your mom kept it from us this entire time.

Why did she let her real daughter...

And someone else's daughter...

Your mom's birth daughter had heart disease.

She had no money but had to save her baby.

That's why she did it.

Then...

Seyeon is the granddaughter of a conglomerate family?

Then Gyeonghye is our mom's real daughter?

That's right.

Then Gyeonghye and I are sisters?

She's my sister?

How could that be?

Wait. Just how many secrets does mom have?

Where's mom now?

It was a lie that she went to a temple, wasn't it?

She's staying somewhere else

because she feels too sorry to us.

Somewhere else? Where?

I think she slept at a sauna last night.

That's enough.

Seyeon, come to my room.

I'd like to talk to you in private.

What's going on?

I don't understand anything I just heard.

H-Hold on. Let's see.

If Seyeon is the granddaughter

of a conglomerate family...

What does that make you, Ganghui?

If Seyeon is part of a conglomerate family,

am I part of a conglomerate family since I'm her sister?

I don't know. Anyway, that doesn't matter right now.

Seriously, what is all this?

Seyeon.

Move into their house.

Dad!

You've suffered enough.

You've suffered too much, growing up

in a poor family.

I don't know what to say to you.

Sorry I was such a loser dad.

The lunch you packed for me early every morning

was the tastiest in the world.

When I was in grade school,

you went to the market and bought me

the prettiest boots

because water would get in my sneakers,

the kids were so jealous.

Whenever I thought of you,

I felt confident and secure.

I was never intimidated or insecure.

Why do you talk like you'll never see me again?

I know what you're about to say.

You want me to submit a petition

for Eun Gyeonghye, right?

I'll do it.

I'm sorry...

And thank you.

When I think about that woman,

I really don't want to do it...

But I'll think only about how good you were to me

for all these years as I write the petition.

But may I...

Ask you for a favor

before I write the petition?

Let me meet her.

I wanted to see the person who hit me with their car

and left me for dead.

I wanted to ask how a human being

could do such a thing,

and how you felt

when you did something like that.

I was out of my mind at the time.

I thought you were dead.

Had I known you were still breathing,

I would've taken you to a hospital.

Had I known you were alive,

I would've turned myself in.

Your excuse is so pathetic.

If Ms. Geum hadn't asked,

I never would've written a petition

asking for favorable treatment.

You're writing a petition for me?

Yes. She got on her knees...

And begged me to forgive her daughter

for what she did.

Be grateful that you have a mom who can

give up everything...

For her daughter.

But you must tell me...

Everything you remember about the accident.

What I looked like, what the situation was, everything.

That may help me find the family that I lost.

Geez.

What a headache.

Why did you want to figure out our family relationship?

You're right. This is no easy task.

I looked online but there's no easy answer.

What will you do?

I think I'll still call you boss for the time being.

Good. That's what I think too.

I'll just keep calling you Manager Hong, okay?

Anyway, I wonder how Gyeonghye is doing.

She probably can't stomach even a sip of water,

with her temper.

I know.

I'm worried and curious

I wish you were my real niece.

Then I could've forgiven how nasty you were to me.

That's the important matter you needed to discuss?

Still, seeing how pale you look,

it breaks my heart.

I guess you grew on me.

You know Seyeon,

who was switched with you...

She couldn't leave Lady Geum, who raised her

and decided to live in Gitae's house with her.

What?

Lady Geum and Seyeon are

living together in my house?

Don't call her Lady Geum.

She's your mom.

And why are you so shocked?

It was Seyeon's house to begin with.

Are you really my mom's real daughter?

Please say something.

If you really are my mom's real daughter,

that means we're sisters.

Didn't you want to see me when you found out?

When I heard you were arrested,

I was so worried and wanted to see you.

I think I was drawn because we're blood.

Let's talk another time.
