with a friend, a female friend the other day and she was telling me that her
friend did this lemon/honey and water juice fast kind of type thing, and she
lost like 11 pounds in seven days, she's like that sounds really good. should I do
it? That's like a common question I get... should I do a juice fast or shall I cut
carbs out or should I do slimming world or whatever ??? The bottom line is if you
keep looking for the quick hack and the short cut, this actually becomes the long
path. The way to lose body fat and lose weight fast is reduce your
calorie intake and track your macronutrients and be consistent, because
if you do this juice fast, this honey and lemon juice thing for ten days and you
lose some weight, but then you pile on more... than you're back to where you
started, even a worse place.. okay now I'm going to cut carbs out for a week...
lost a couple of pounds, but no can't do that! now I'm back to where I started...
can you see you'll keep going around in circles, and this is going to take you
longer until you figure it out that... calories and macros are the real way to
change your body in the short term because you start
getting results fast, and you start tracking your macros, but in the long
term too. So the shortcuts actually lead to long delays in life and that's
actually a microcosm for anything in life. anything you try to do.... if you try and
make money fast, get-rich-quick it never works out... try and lose weight fast and you
REBOUND! It doesn't work out and guess what?? Now you're back further than when
you started! So the premise of this video what and I'm trying to impress upon you in
this video is shortcuts don't work! they look attractive right? when you see the
honey and lemon juice fast that Gwyneth Paltrow or some Hollywood a-lister that
got results in two weeks.... it seems attractive because none of us
want to actually walk the path that requires some hard work some consistency...
And some effort, but in reality short-cuts lead to delays. So to lose body
weight, lose body fat get into a calorie deficit track, your proteins your fats
and your carbohydrates. Get to the gym three or four times a week and be
consistent with your method, with your plan and you will get lean. You will
