The video was loosely inspired by Godard's "Masculin Feminin"

Few days prior, I came across this puzzle at a nearby vintage store

Map of Paris... in the middle of Joshua Tree.

Some of the shots took place at the director Tao Ruspoli's house.

During this trip my friend Areta and I cooked quite a lot.

it's just about learned behaviour

because that's how they were raised

when the people are kid

let people know different people

if people of the same gender are kissing

and the kid goes little awkward about it

you have to explain right at the time

look they are just kissing

and they are just normal people

and that's beautiful

don't be LGBTphobic

they are the best

you have two daddies

so you are gonna have to deal with that

or you are not gonna be living here

there is no problem about being different

if you don't want to be a LGBT

be a hetero person

but just let people be whatever they wanna be

try to think about them

I'm scared for their reaction

and that's weird

Because I know that everyone knows it

but still

I've been lying to myself my whole life

I hate just hate it

I just don't understand why I

can't be happy

because when I'm happy

Then I get sad because of stupid things and I just don't understand

I pull other people in my problems and I don't get why

Why I can't be happy

Why I can't be like other people

like everyone

I have always known that I like boys

I never took the time to think about it

but when I look back at it

Around the age of 7-8 years

I started looking at boys the way most straight guys look at girls

But I never thought that it was weird

to me it was normal. I can like boys and I can like girls

That's normal

Until people

Started calling me out

Saying stuff like "Gay!" "Faggot"

but I never knew what those words ment.

And then I went to highschool.

and

apprently it wasn't normal

or atleast not 'the norm'

to like boys

but

I did

and I thought:

"gay people only exist in America"

In Belgium? No way

Gay guys here? Nope that's an american thing

but then I met a boy at my school who was openly gay

And I though "WOW"

Another gay guy in Belgium?

That's my shot (I'm not throwing away my shot)

I have to date him.

He's my partner for life

So we started talking and a week later we were 'a thing'

and at a certain moment

Everyone knew.

My whole school knew that I was gay.

And I wasn't ready yet to tell everyone.

You know? And that's weird.

Cuz it shouldn't be weird.

You shouldn't even have to tell anyone

These days I would just be like

People are allowed to know that.

But there's no need to tell anyone.

If you like a boy or a girl, who cares?

But then or atleast at that age

It was a big deal.

So suddenly the whole school knew that I liked boys

And I wasn't 'Kobe'

I became 'That gay guy'

and I pushed that away from me.

When people would come up to me

and ask "Hey are you gay? You like boys?"

I would be like: "Nope. I'm Bi"

I never 'hid' that I was gay

eh

Some say it's a bit obvious

But I struggled a lot with myself

I was fortunate enough

To have the most loving people around me

Whom supported me

My parents, grandparents, godmother, unlces & aunts

Everyone in my family

Never really had a hard time with it

Or atleast never made it hard for me

I've always been embrased in open arms

100% love and support

The same goes to say about my friends

atleast most of them

but there were people who

Looked at me differently

or stopped talking to me

Because if you're a guy dude

and you have straight male friend

then it's weird

because what if

I fell inlove with them (14yo' straight logic )

No idea what people thought back then

But I lost a lot of straigh friends

because they were scared?

They didn't approve of it

That was one of the reasons that I

started to hide it more

Most people who come out of the closet

Learn more about their sexuality and feelings

Most likely go in denial about it

Then hopefully accept it and come out

But for me it was different

I experimented, came out

not really willingly

pushed out of it you can say

because I wasn't ready yet

I spent

A couple of years

in denial

I labeld myself as a bisexual

Because if people knew that I was gay

or am.

Then they would start treating me differently

I would be 'gay' and have no straight friends

So if people were to ask me

Are you gay?

Then I would say no, I also like girls.

No worries

I never understood why some people would

act different around you

if you suddenly turned out to be gay

and that made me sad

I was never myself

I always changed myself according to whom I was surrounded with

Acted more 'manly'

Dress more 'manly'

Do more 'manly' stuff

Because I was afraid people that would leave me

because I am attracted to boys

Gay people are seen more from a stereotypical point of view

They wear a lot of pink & paint their nails

It's so over exaggerated

What's the word I'm looking for?

It's very stereotypical

I started thinking like that too

I started acting differently

It was very difficult for me

I ran away from...

the comfrontation

The past year and a half

I was in a relation

With someone whom still is on of my best friends

Obviously the relation didn't last

because we're not dating anymore

How in the hell are you gonna love somebody els?

And it's a true quote

I always ran away from my problems

I never wanted to accept myself

For how I look, who I am, how I act

how other people look at me

I always changed myself to a point where

I didn't know who I was

I never really knew who I was

It's one of the reasons my relation didn't last

Because if you rest all your sadness

All your unhappy feelings

on another person his shoulders

and expect from him

to get you through it

then you're wrong

I pushed so many people around me away

and pushed all my emotions on to this one boy I love

that I

lost him

and suddenly I was alone

During that period

I moved to my dorm in Gent

so I didn't know a lot of people

I'm talking abouyt the month october, start of the new school year

So I had no other option then to be alone a lot with my thoughts

My plan for when I moved to Gent

was to tell NO ONE that I'm gay

Because apprently I'm super feminin

and I didn't want to believe that

so I wanted to prove myself that I'm not

I'm not feminin and when you look at me you don't see that I'm gay

but yeah

On the long term I just had to tell

I have been so ungratefull

There are so many people, so many kids

Who're having a way worse time than I am

Whose parents kicked them out

Whose friends left them to rot

Whom didn't even dare to say or write that they're gay or have a different sexuality

Because if they did, they would end up alone

I never had that

I've always been surrounded

but I also pushed them away because I didn't want to be me.

but then I realised that

I have people around me

Who care about me and support me

and slowely

I have learned to accept myself

But I never really told people that I'm

'Gay' it was always 'I'm bi, bi bi...'

and I don't know why I've always acted like that

I always ran away from those emotions and thoughts

because I was scared that people would look at me in a stereotypical way

Whilst I have to be proud about that

There are lgbt peple who

dare to be theirselves

By maybe acting a bit differently, more 'feminen"

not on purpose but just because they're being themselves

and because of that

They might be a bit more feminen,

They paint their nails, wear a bit more extravagant clothing

but they don't really choose to do that

That's who they are and how they

Expressionism? their self

and by doing that

they take the risk of getting left

Because for some reason, not everyone understands the different sexualities

But I don't understand why people don't understand that?

If I wanna go outside with painted nails

Why should other people care?

That's who I am and what I wanna do

Everyone is an individual

You don't have to be them and they don't have to be you

You don't HAVE to love thatr person

but you can atleast tolerate them

Okay not everyone will accept you for who you are

But why should you care?

It's your life

You have to live your life at the fullest

and enjoy it

If there's one lesson I learned

It's that

You are happier when you're yourself

and you can be that in everyway

You never have to stop yourself from doing something

or to like something

Because you're afraid of what others will think or say

Because then you'll never

be really happy

What I try to do this year is live and think more positively

I don't put others on the first spot

but I put myself next to them

Myself on the first spot together with my surrounding

I do what makes me happy

If I wanna paint my nails, then I'mma do it

If I wanna game all day

then I will do it

unless school holds me back from doing that

I will not let other's expectations of me, hold me back

I've been stuck my head for a while

with all these thoughts

With self hate because I didn't accept myself

It's importand to know that you'll be okay

There are people who love and support you

If you can't love yourself, how in the hell are you gonna love somebody els?

Love yourself

but also love your friends & family

Live together and not alone

and if there's something, if something is bothering you or you're not feeling okay

Know that there are people who want to be there for you

Proffecional people, your surroundings

People online... there are a lot of people in this world

and if you don't know any

The Best BRZ Exhaust Yet! - Duration: 17:15.

what's happening everybody welcome back to the BTR garage my name is Justin yes

we have hit another gigantic box to open up here another exhaust system for my

2017 Subaru BRZ I think I think this is finally the one we're gonna keep on the

car I've been searching far and wide for a long time trying to find the perfect

exhaust for this car for my requirements this might not be the perfect exhaust

for you but I'm really particular about what I put on my car got to be

lightweight it has to meet sound restrictions at Racing sites and a house

the sound and look good as well so what we have in the box here today is

Dezod Motorsports dual exit exhaust system before the BRZ FRS or 86 it comes

in under 30lbs and of course I am going to weigh it and try to confirm

that weight and then hopefully my quest for the perfect exhaust for my BRZ by my

requirements will be complete I won't have to worry about this in the future

if I still have qualms with this exhaust and it's not what I hoped I'm going

straight to the CSG Spec Touring 86 exhaust that one is tried-and-true it's

a little bit heavier than the one we have here in the box by about 6 or 7

pounds but we're really splitting hairs at that point but now we're gonna go

ahead and get this thing unboxed take a look at it get it weighed and then we're

gonna get it on the car take off that old custom exhaust that have had on

there for a while and then check out the Dezod Motorsports exhaust on the car

all right with the exhaust now out of the box I am already loving this thing

it is clear that the Dezod Motorsports exhaust is a handcrafted exhaust it's

not a mass-produced exhaust like you get from a lot of the big companies these

things are handmade at their shop and mine was actually handmade I think from

the time I ordered it I had to wait a little while to get it but it was worth

the wait the professional level welds are top-notch I'll give you guys a

closer look at those here in just a section but the handcrafted

craftsmanship that goes into this is clear right away and the design is a

little bit different than some of the other exhausts I've reviewed or

installed on the BRZ obviously we have the mid pipe section with the resonator

in the middle kind of a medium sized resonator nuts as long as the stock when

the stock one is maybe almost twice as long as this one but a little bit

thinner then you have the connector pipe which actually connects your mid pipe to

the muffler section since the muffler section is a center entrance that pipe

has to connect something like this I'll lay it out on the ground so you guys can

see what it looks like and then the muffler section I think is probably the

most unique of all of the exhausts that I've seen and that is because instead of

having one large muffler section in the middle here or a straight muffler like a

single exit has this has two small mufflers obviously in the center here

joined by this little white pipe which is really cool and again the welds which

we'll take a closer look at in a second are just awesome I've seen a lot of

welding in my days with turbocharged cars and turbo manifolds and exhausts

and things like that and these are awesome welds of course you also get to

your bag of gaskets and nuts and bolts this one also came with a donuts to

replace the stock one that comes in the car where the mid pipe connects to the

front pipe so let's get a little bit closer look at the welds and kind of see

the craftsmanship of the exhaust checking out the muffler section of the

exhaust you'll notice that the tips are not too crazy pretty standard pretty

basic four inch muffler tips

and the small-sized mufflers on the muffler section you can begin to start

to see the quality of the welds and the Y connector pipe which connects that

muffler to the other connecting pipe some very sweet welds going on in here

taking a close look at the flange welds you can see again the high quality there

last thing we're gonna do of course before we get this thing on the car is

way up the exhaust sections add up how much each piece weighs to get the total

weight of the exhaust so we'll start off with the muffler section likely the

heaviest piece in the whole kit see what this one comes out to so we got an

eighteen point eight and we got an 18 point six so we'll call it eighteen

point six eighteen point seven pounds the small pipe we can actually fit on to

my little scale here see it started off at zero we have three point eight two

pounds for the small connector pipe and lastly the mid pipe and if my math is

right we're already at about 23lbs so this thing's got to be really light

for it to be under 30lbs and I'm not sure it's gonna make it

so we got 12.2

11.2 let's try that again here and an 11.6 we'll do one more and see kind of

what we average out with on this guy so eleven point four so I'm gonna say right

so 11.4 so I'm gonna say right

around eleven and a half pounds so with everything weighed up now we're hitting

just about 34lbs all the pieces weighed up this is not a sub

30lbs exhaust at least by my scales of course

there could be a pound or two variation but even if we take a couple pounds off

we're still at 32lbs of weight for the total system so my quest

for a sub 30lbs dual exit exhaust I don't know if it's

ever going to happen but we're gonna go with this one 34lbs is

still lighter than the stock system and lighter than any other dual exit exhaust

system that I have tested I think the CSG Spec Touring 86 is advertised at 36lbs

maybe someday I'll get my hands on that exhaust and weigh it with my

scales as well as see where it comes out but we've got 34lbs for the

Dezod Motorsports exhaust now for the fun stuff we're gonna get it on the car

see how it fits up and then finally take it for a test drive

all right the Dezod Motorsports exhaust is on the car and I got to say the

fitment on this thing is top-notch it's ten times better than the custom exhaust

that I had on the car and granted that was a custom-made exhaust it wasn't a

manufacturer of exhaust but the fitment on that thing was a lot tighter in here

this exhaust you guys can kind of see the piping up here is nicely centered in

the transmission tunnel here or the driveshaft tunnel and my other custom

exhaust was actually hitting the heat shield up in that area whereas this one

has quite a big gap in here I can fit my whole hand or arm behind here and

there's no touching of any of the parts so that is a plus and the center

entrance or the center exit on the muffler section back here where the pipe

comes back towards the middle of the rear of the car versus going out towards

the side I like that design a lot better let's take a look at the tailpipes on the car

so again the exhaust tips are not very glamorous with this exhaust

unlike the Blitz Nur-SPEC exhaust that I had before that VSR that had the burnt

titanium tips that looked really cool these are just a plain brushed silver

and actually look really nice when the exhaust is installed on the car the

fitment is again nearly perfect with these guys they don't protrude too far

they're not sunken in too deep like the stock exhaust tips are and they fill out

the diffuser holes pretty well

all right so enough looking and talking about this thing we're gonna get it down

off the quick jacket and get some exhaust notes during startup and then

get some sounds driving down the street as well

alright guys let's do this first drive with the Dezod Motorsports exhaust

so it's a little more throaty than I thought it would be sounds good though

let's go ahead and get out of the neighborhood here

all right so it is a little bit louder than I thought it was gonna be just

going through the neighborhood but not terrible at all definitely not as loud

as some of the single exits that I've had

all right so we got the car up to temperature we can let it rip just a

little bit here

yes sounds pretty good sounds pretty good it's got some rumble to it not like

a boxer rumble but a rumbly exhaust note

definitely has that kind of deep rumbly I want to say droney type sound but

it's not drone like you get a highway drone or vibration kind of sound

I will turn it around here and take another fast pass so far I like it I can

put it in the fourth gear and kind of cruise along here and not really hear it

it does sound quiet enough so that it will pass sound restrictions at the race

sites that is obviously the big killer

all right let's go how about some we'll do some wide open throttle runs here

yeah love that sound on the deceleration

alright guys so that's gonna wrap it up for the Dezod Motorsports dual exit

exhaust I like it it sounds good it looks good it fits really good and

top-notch craftsmanship with the exhaust there's only one more test that I need

to do with this thing and that is make sure it passes the sound requirements

again at the race site so I'll find that out this weekend I don't think it will

be a problem

How to Deal with Negative Feedback - Duration: 6:24.

In this video, we're going to talk about how you as a leader should respond to

negative feedback when you hear it. So let's get into the details.

Hello again friends. Alex Lyon here.

This channel, Communication Coach, is all about helping

rising leaders increase your own personal skills so that you can bring

out the best and all the people that you lead. I believe that good communication

and leadership change lives. Today's topic is how to handle and respond to

negative feedback. This comes with the job description. The day you become a

leader is the same day you start hearing negative feedback. so how do you respond

to this when you get it. We're going to talk about four tips in terms of how to

respond as well as a bonus tip at the end of the video for how you should be

collecting negative feedback or feedback in general in the first place.

Tip number one on how to respond. Ss soon as possible, you want to

metaphorically come alongside the person that is giving you feedback. In other

words, we tend to take feedback personally and we tend to face each

other like boxers, right? We face off with them, adversarial positioning in our

nonverbals and in our words. But instead, what you want to do is think about

collaborating with that person. show themthat you were right alongside them

looking at this problem and trying to understand it together. So that's the

first step. If you get defensive, it's going to shut the conversation down and

it's going to get off the rails. The second thing you want to do is help the

person generate possible solutions with you. Don't just let them give you the

problem and leave. Coach them through a process and ask them, so do you have any

possible solutions for the problem that we're talking about? If they don't have

any possible solutions, then walk them through a process? What would an ideal

solution look like? Now, when you start doing this, you'll find that many people

don't just have a problem in mind. They have a solution that they've come with

too. And they should be doing, this by the way. We always want to give problems but

also solutions to those problems. You don't want to just dump things on people.

And by walking them through this process, you're helping to mentor them

in that way. Once that conversation is over and you thank them and you've

thought about the problems and the solutions, now you need to move forward

and talk to other people. Do your homework, really. You want to ask a whole

bunch of other people, look at whatever data you need to understand, to be fully

informed on the nature of this problem. Sometimes you may find out that this is

a huge issue and everybody knows about and everybody cares about it.

I had one situation recently, however, where I heard a particular piece of

negative feedback someone came to me and said you know really everybody thinks

this. And then when I started asking other people, almost nobody thought that.

It was really just this one person's opinion and it turned out that the

person was trying to get what they wanted for themselves but they really

didn't care about the rest of the group. So that's a great example of a time

where I did my homework and I found out that this really wasn't an issue at all.

So make sure you do your due diligence and look into the problem further after

that initial conversation. And the fourth tip is trying to solve about 1/3 of the

problems that people bring you. do your best.

Aim for about a third. And my experience leaders can generally handle responding

and fixing about 1/3 of the issues that come to them. Another third of the issues

are things that are the way they are for a reason. Maybe it's not ideal but

usually through a conversation the person bringing you the feedback will at

least understand that's the way things are right now and that this is

the best we can do right now. And then in about 1/3 of the cases, what you'll find

is that these problems are basically set in cement. the people above you have

already said no. You know, there's no moving on this issue. so I say aim for a

third because I think it's a manageable number but it's also, through talking to

people in workshops about what people would expect a good leader to be able to

do, if you can solve a lot of third of the problems that people bring you, they know

that you're listening they know that you care and that you're doing your best to

take action. It'll keep your credibility high. If you don't solve any of the

problems that come to you, then you're going to lose a lot of credibility and

certainly nobody expects you to solve every single problem that they bring you.

But, about a third of the time will set the right tone and keep the ball moving

forward. so now as a bonus tip I would like to briefly

to you about the best way to gather upward feedback. And the tip is this. You as

the leader have the communication responsibility to develop upward

channels for feedback. Organizations are built for top-down communication. they

are not naturally built for upward communication and you as the leader have

to do things like surveys focus groups intense one-on-ones where you do a lot of

listening for feedback. And then you gather feedback in a systematic way to

make good decisions. And when you do this, a lot of the gossip will stop and

negativity will stop. A lot of the squeaky wheels, who just won't get their

way, will stop. And you're not going to deal with this weird perception issue

like, Oh nobody here is listening. If you can do those things then you'll be

headed in the right direction. In fact, I have a whole other video that I will

link to about gathering upward feedback in the description below the video. again

I'll try to put a card up here and you can get to it through the youtube

homepage as well on how to develop upward channels of communication. So
