- Hello? - Betty, is that you?

- Hi, dad. - I'm glad I caught you.

- I'm glad you called. - Thanks.

Look, Betty... you and I...

well, we both know that Bruce couldn't have survived that blast.

But... well, you know...

- What is it? - Well, you know.

The usual loonies. Seein' things.

Only now everything's green.

Right.

Look, uh...

if by some chance he... did survive...

and he should try to contact you, try to get in touch,

you'd tell me, wouldn't you?

No... I wouldn't.

But... you know as well as I do, I wouldn't have to.

I mean, my... phones are bugged, my computer's tapped.

I'm under surveillance.

I'll tell you, though,

that... if he were alive,

I'm... the last person I would want him to come to

because... as much as I miss 'im, I... I... loved him. I, uh...

Yeah.

I'm sorry, Betty.

I am so sorry.

I know you are.

Si.

Let's take a walk.

Time stopped in Albarracín - Duration: 9:59.

Hello fellow travelers! We were having a great time on the road to Albarracin,

we took a local road that our "friend" Google maps signed… we had to cross a mountain range and…

it's closed because there is a lot of snow.

Hello guys!

Now I'm a bit annoyed… we have to go back to Cuenca, and there we will decide what to do:

we could go to Teruel and from Teruel to Albarracín…

Do you know this kind of moment when you are thinking "oh, it's great, we will be in the hotel in an hour",

and suddenly, something happens, your plans collapse and you don't even know where you are going to sleep…

This feeling, that many people like, overwhelms me…

We will be there in one and a half hours, so the tragedy passed.

Mind you, it's going to take us more time to get to Albarracin than if we were going to drive to Coruña…

what can we do…

We are already here! We are going to have dinner in a very romantic and cool place.

This dish is called "momos", kind of Nepal ravioli.

Basil ice cream!

Tiempo de ensueño restaurant was delighted! Now, let's go to bed so that tomorrow we will visit a lot of places!

Today we have spectacular weather.

You will think… why are you taking the car instead of visiting the village walking?

I also thought about it this morning but… the plan is different…

First the mountain range and then the village, so…

The Albarracin mountain range is much more than the village of Albarracin.

Besides, this way you can enjoy the "slow driving"… something that we insist on in every trip.

In addition, Aragon Tourism is working a lot with that concept.

There are so many beautiful roads to slow drive, to enjoy the landscape…

This is the origin of the Tajo River.

It's the longest river of the peninsula. It starts here and ends in Lisbon!

This is the monument to the Tajo River.

These statues represent three provinces: Teruel, Cuenca and Guadalajara.

Let's go to Albarracin!

I feel like drinking a cup glass of wine, and you? Yes!

Albarracin, besides the fact of being on in the list of One of the Most Beautiful villages in Spain,

is a National Monument and it has been proposed to be declared as a World Heritage Site.

The name of Albarracin comes from a Berebere family of kings called Aben Razin.

Are you sure it's necessary to go up to the castle!

Wow, You will need crampons!

Look at the marvelous color the village has. It's like salmon, reddish…

I think it's one of the most spectacular villages I've ever seen!

The fortress is Moor and the walls are Christian. The remains of the fortress are just this little bit,

but it's impressive!

Mission accomplished!

Look at the views from the upper part of the wall!

How is the gastronomy in Albarracin?

this is a mountain range, so, the gastronomy is heavy and filling.

The authentic dishes from here are the garlic soup, the goat and toasted soup.

There are some ingredients really typical from here, like lamb, thistle, truffle, and mushrooms.

The dented houses, with less basement than roof, are very typical from here.

They say that in the Medieval times, they paid taxes depending of the square meters of the basement.

They were really smart and thought, ok, I'll build a small basement but I'll build a bigger upper floor.

We are here with Cristina, official tour guide from El Andador.

Make sure to contact them if you are coming here, we are sure you are going to enjoy their excursions.

What do you think are the main attractions in Albarracin?

Albarracin is very remarkable because it reflects its history through the monuments and buildings.

All the houses are beautiful, all of them. Its architecture is also impressive:

all the houses are made from stone, pine tree and plaster that produces continuous changes of color,

this special terracotta color.

You are going to show us this noble palace-house.

There were some noble families who came from Castille in the 13th Century in order to repopulate this area

with the Christian reconquest.

This family conserved the house, even when the wood decreased its price and value.

This house helps us to see how people lived in that time.

People say that time has stopped in Albarracin. In this house you are going to feel it!

And the best thing about the house is thinking that it's not a recreation

but a real house of the family Perez y Toyuela.

We are leaving for the "Casa del Abuelo" hotel. I would have slept another night here…

We are in Ródeno's pine forest; It's 10 minutes driving distance from Albarracin.

We are going to see some cave paintings.

This area is perfect if you like boulder climbing.

The Neolithic race lived here from 7.500 until 4.000 BC.

There is a great path, that takes you no more than one and a half hours, to see a lot of different paintings.

They are Unesco Natural Heritage!

The views are awesome!

We are in our last stop: the Guadalaviar Roman aqueduct.

It was built to send water from Guadalaviar river to Cella.

It was built in the 1st Century.

As you can see, it was built into the mountains.

You can walk inside it, it's more than 25 kilometers!

Well fellow travelers, here we end this trip to the Albarracin mountain range.

I'm going to insist on the fact that I would have liked to have stayed one more week

It's a real wonder!

Don't forget to talk about the people. They treated us perfectly well…

It's a very complete trip!

Click like if you liked, it's good to know that there is someone behind the screen…

If we have made any mistakes, please, let us know.

We give you our social media profiles in the description box.

There is also our website where you can send us an email and show us your village.

You know that our target is to visit all the cool villages there are in Spain.

And, if it's possible to go with you, much better!

See you next Sunday in a new video of viajandoanuestroaire!

Bye!

LIVE ENGLISH LESSON - NEW WORDS - 24th June 2018 - Improve your listening - FOOTBALL IDIOMS - Duration: 1:37:14.

here are two words that sound the same but are spelled differently

the words are wreak and reek the first spelling of wreak means to inflict or

cause damage and harm on a large scale or over a large area to cause damage and

commotion is to wreak you wreak havoc you wreak chaos the hurricane is

expected to wreak havoc tomorrow to exact revenge by inflicting injury or

harm is to wreak you wreak your revenge on someone the other spelling of reek

describes a terrible smell something that has a bad odor and smells

unpleasant can be described as reeking the reek is the terrible smell the reek

from inside the fridge made me feel sick we can also use reek to suggest

something unpleasant or undesirable this whole deal reeks, something is not right

it's time to wreak some chaos on the internet now but I promise what you are

about to see will not reek too much because it's Sunday afternoon

it's just after 2 o'clock here in the UK and this is live English

doo-doo-doo-doo it is a hot one today it is so hot here in the UK there it is a

live picture looking out over the landscape and you can see it is a

glorious day today it is absolutely boiling hot needless to say the hay

fever season is well and truly under way as you can see a lot of the grass looks

very dry in fact many of the farmers in this area have been cutting their grass

which has made my hay fever become quite quite unbearable so as you can imagine I

have been sneezing a lot today but hopefully it won't interfere too much

with today's live stream hi everybody this is mr. Duncan in England how are

you today are you ok I hope so are you happy are you are you really

happy I hope so here we go again it's Sunday afternoon

the 24th of June we are just over halfway through the month and also the

year because last week we had the summer solstice did you celebrate it did you go

out and wave your sticks in the air did you put on your robes and dance around

some rock formations well did you would you like to see the

sunset last night just to show how lovely everything is at the moment there

it is the sunset last night looking rather spectacular even though I say so

myself and there it is and we had the summer solstice last week on the 21st of

June every year we commemorate the summer solstice yes it is the longest

day of the year on the 21st of June and you know what that means that means

that from now on the days will once again get shorter that happened pretty

quickly don't you think so it's Sunday and how are you I really hope you're

okay in fact it's so hot today I thought it

would be fun to have a look at some video footage that I filmed way back in

March do you remember the snow that we had in March we had a lot of snow and

just to prove it can you see the snow on the ground and there is a little

squirrel looking for food so that was the scene in my garden way back in March

when all of the animals were trying to find food oh isn't that lovely

a little squirrel digging in the snow all I can say is I wish the weather

today was like that because it is so hot and let's have another look at the

garden and there is a wide view and there you can see the snow was falling

and everything was white that was way back in March but what about today well

this is what everything looks like today very different indeed so there it is

outside at the moment everything is looking very very summery the summer

season has arrived I know that in some countries it isn't summer it is actually

autumn so if you are watching in South America then I think you will find that

the weather will not be that hot because it is autumn a lot of things going on

today by the way in the world of course I suppose we should mention football yes

football is playing today lots of football matches

taking place including a big one England are playing Panama and as far as I know

the score so far and this is good news for all you England supporters at the

moment the score is 1 nil 1 nil and guess who is in the lead yes England at

the moment are in the lead the match between England and Panama so that is

also taking place today lots of things happening around the world also in

Turkey they are having a big election today president Agron is hoping to stay

on in power so that is happening today in Turkey so a big hello to all my

friends watching in Turkey and have you voted yet well have you I'm not sure

because I'm not there let's have a look at the live chat very quickly doo doo

doo doo oh there it is the live chat is now up

and running yes you are more than welcome to get involved let's see how

let's see how many people are on the live chat as we go back to the beginning

of the live chat Wow Blue Thunder hello blue thunder I don't think we have

spoken before where are you watching at the moment

Blue Thunder hello mr. Duncan I'm happy to see you

and have a wonderful afternoon yes I hope you have a wonderful afternoon

where you are as well Blue Thunder but where are you where are you please let

me know Julie ji also Palmira

is here hello to you Francisco also Alex and also flower flower I

don't think I've spoken to you before unless of course you are using a

different name today Connell also PL Alex sue Myra also mika

ode is watching in Japan how is the weather in Japan at the moment I hope

it's nice and warm where you are as well Tran yay mr. Duncan's back yes I am here

and we have lots of things coming your way

sweetness and also yeni and nish aunt is here

hello Nishant thanks for joining me today Alex also Maria and I can hear mr.

Steve moving around I should remind mr. Steve that the microphone is on where

you are so be very careful not to make too much noise I just have to remind mr.

Steve you see because sometimes mr. Steve likes to bang around he does he

likes banging all around the house Olga hello Olga thank you very much for

joining me today from Egypt Mustafa is saying hello also

we have Anna RF also GH Alto hello there nice to see you today Wow many people

are on the life chat at the moment thank you very much yes the World Cup is

taking place and I just had a message saying that England are now in the lead

by five goals Nishant says the score is now five nil

the match between England and Panama so it looks as if England are well in the

lead we will be talking about football today but don't let that put you off

please don't become upset or annoyed because we will be talking about

football but of course it will be something that will be done for fun

because mr. Steve will be here at half past two and this is something I want to

mention very quickly the live streams will be shorter from now on so instead

of two hours the live streams will be for what hour and a half so 90 minutes

will be the length of the live streams on a Sunday from now on so not two hours

just 90 minutes so don't forget to get your messages in get your messages in as

quickly as possible so we're looking at football idioms today football

expressions and words that are used in the game of football and of course we'll

be looking at the words in another way as well the way in which they are used

in other areas of the English language so lots of things going on apparently

better loose barrel lucia says we have subtitles do we do we really have

subtitles I didn't know that oh wow even I didn't realize that

so are there subtitles on today's livestream really thank you Belarusian

for letting me know because I didn't realize so yes the match so far between

England and Panama is 5 nil oh my goodness I can't believe it

wow that's incredible so it looks as if England has or will be on the way to

winning yet another match because they they won their match last week so hmm it

looks like England are on the way at least on the way to the next round

so apparently according to Belarusian we have

titles on the live chat well I can't believe it that's incredible I'm a

little bit shocked to be honest so yes apparently there are subtitles on the

live chat so we are now talking live at just after quarter past two on a Sunday

afternoon and there are live subtitles it's amazing now YouTube has been

promising to include live subtitles for a long time so it looks as if we now

have live subtitles mr. Steve will be here in a few moments some questions to

ask today and also I would like to say a special thank you can I say thank you to

Elizabeth Elizabeth Ramos in the Netherlands who sent this lovely

photograph and can you see Elizabeth is making Jam and also watching me at the

same time so this particular photograph was taken at the beginning of June on

the 3rd of June so yes thank you very much to Elizabeth for your lovely lovely

photograph and if you want to send a photograph to me maybe to show what you

are doing whilst you are watching my live stream feel free to do so

the email address is underneath this video and of course today we have

subtitles oh wow I can't believe it I can't begin to tell you how excited I

feel that we have subtitles today Wow thank you very much thank you YouTube

it's a beautiful day the Sun is out and there is a live view looking out from

the window of the studio and as you can see it is a glorious day sadly we won't

be going outside today because of my hay fever

for those who have been watching over the past few weeks you will know that I

suffer from hay fever I suffer with it during the hay fever

season unfortunately so I won't be going

outside because if I were to do that I would be sneezing my head off

so there it is a live view outside and of course we know the reason why it's

all because of the dreaded pollen the pollen gets everywhere so there it is

the pollen that is the very thing that goes at my nose and makes me sneeze it's

not very nice not very nice at all there are some chores that people like to do

and a little bit later on mr. steve is going to be doing one particular chore

one particular household task but the question is can you guess which

household tasks which chore he will be doing can you guess which one it will be

find out in around about 10 minutes where mr. Steve joins us it's nice to

watch and hear you again Thank You Louie for that mr. Duncan

you have progress the live stream now has subtitles amazing yes Vitesse we now

apparently have subtitles live subtitles on the live stream oh my goodness I'm so

excited I I think I might wee-wee myself from excitement mr. Duncan do you like

rainy days no I don't I hate it when it rains I really don't like the rain I

certainly don't like getting wet on a rainy day I hate it so much a live

update from the match between England and Panama apparently now it's

six nil six nil so England are in the lead and it looks as if unless Panama

make a very dramatic comeback it looks as if the match between England and

Panama is of course a win for England how is your hay fever asks Anna my hay

fever is not too bad because I have stayed in the house today I haven't been

outside so that's the reason why my hay fever is okay but the problem is and

this is a big problem oh sorry now it's seven nil goodness me

this might be the highest-scoring football match in the history of the

World Cup actually that's an interesting question I wonder what the highest score

ever was in the World Cup does anyone know maybe you can find out for me and

let me know on the live chat I think mr. Steve is doing the dusting

hmm Thank You sweetness for your your guests there yes mr. Steve is going to

be doing something for us live on camera and also he will be talking about

expressions to do with football as well so all of that coming up later on some

new words were added last week to the Oxford English Dictionary and I thought

it would be interesting to have a look at some of the words that have been

added and here is one of them here is an interesting word can you see it and this

is one of the latest additions to the Oxford English Dictionary impostor

syndrome can you see the word on the screen

impostor syndrome the meaning of this is the persistent

inability to believe that one's success is deserved or has been legitimately

achieved as a result of one's own efforts or skills so this actually comes

from the earlier word imposter phenomenon so if you have success and if

you have maybe success in business or excess in your job or success in your

life perhaps you feel as if you don't deserve

it so we call that impostor syndrome it is called impostor syndrome so if you

don't accept that your success is deserved or has been legitimately

achieved we can say that you are suffering from impostor syndrome very

interesting phrase that and that has just been added to the Oxford English

Dictionary here's another one now this is a this is a very long word look at

that look at that that might be one of the longest words I've ever featured on

my live stream so there it is can you see it micro aggression what a great

word micro aggression and the meaning of micro aggression a statement action or

incident regarded as an instance of indirect subtle or an intentional

discrimination or prejudice against members of a marginalized group such as

a racial minority also as a mass Niall one we can also use it as a mass noun so

this behavior is generally frowned upon so this behavior can be generally

frowned porns and it is micro aggression some

people say that people have become very sensitive nowadays it would appear that

people are so sensitive it's almost as if you can't say anything nowadays

without someone getting really really upset he's another one oh I like this

one this is one that I'm sure many of you are familiar with spoiler alert

I'm sure if you are a fan of movies or TV shows you might find that this

particular word is one you might use if someone is going to tell you what

happens in the movie or the TV show so here it is spoiler alert

so maybe referring to a recent review or an online discussion of a film or

television series and intervention used to warn readers or viewers that an

important detail of the story is about to be divulged or alluded to or given

away a full warning of a plot spoiler frequently used in a humorous or ironic

way especially in wider use so if I were to talk about the next episode of Game

of Thrones I might say I'm going to warn you that there are some spoilers this is

a spoiler alert spoiler alert so if you are about to give the plot or the story

of something that is about to be shown on television or maybe a movie that

people are going to see you can say spoiler alert look out I'm going to give

away some of the detail I'm going to tell you what happens in

the TV program or in the movie so this is a spoiler alert so I hope you enjoyed

that so some new words added to the oxford english dictionary talking of

words we have a lot of words on the live chat oh I see

Huang no juin I get the feeling that you are a fan of football I think so mr.

Duncan how do you speak so clear I don't know I think it's just because that's

the way I speak English Thank You Praveen for that Matt Boone is here mr.

Duncan do you mind making funny sounds I would like to see how the livestream

subtitles deal with that perhaps I could I could sing a song

dooby dooby dooby dooby doo doo doo doo bee doo bee doo doo doo doo there you go

that was just for Matt I hope you enjoyed that Oh Ahmed says I hope you

are well yes I'm okay not too bad thank you apparently the subtitles only work

on Android devices and HTML 4 so if you are watching on your PC or on an Android

device the subtitles will work but if you are watching on an Apple phone or an

Apple computer then the subtitles will not work apparently that's what someone

at YouTube told me last week hello from Russia mr. Duncan I am enjoying watching

your lesson thank you very much alex says belonging or oh I see yes I

see what you've done there the absence of teeth a debt a dent a

tattoo 'this identity toothless i can't wait to see what that looks like

on the subtitles sohe wang says yes lots of footballs

there so is that the number of goals that have been scored

I wonder hello Lena says Belarusian and hello to Belarus here as well mr. Steve

will be here in a moment are you excited I I hope so because mr. Steve is going

to be doing something very very exciting I can hardly wait if you want to improve

your speaking you have to concentrate on it maybe you can listen to your own

voice so if you want to improve your English maybe you can listen to your own

voice perhaps you can listen to the way you sound perhaps you can record your

voice on your mobile phone and then listen to it and if you don't like the

sound of your own voice you can try and change it but of course

if you want to change the way you speak you have to do it over time you can't

rush it okay so don't try to do it too quickly or else you might have problems

hello mr. Duncan I am listening to you whilst I'm feeding the dogs can I say a

big bow-wow to you thank you very much

we have someone watching in Venezuela hello from the USA I am a Venezuelan guy

learning this fantastic language thank you very much honk fan says I love you

thank you very much for that blue thunder says please read my comment mr.

Duncan I will read your comment and in fact I just have I've just read

your comment I hope you feel better because of that satury no is mr. Steve

watching the football no he isn't he isn't because he doesn't follow football

just like me mr. Duncan what is the strange sound is there a strange sound

is that I'm not sure is there a strange sound on my livestream

maybe there's a strange sound at your end hello sir how is your day going my

day is going ok but I'm having to stay in the house because of my terrible

terrible hay fever for those who've just joined me you can now watch the

livestream with subtitles yes there are live

subtitles on this live stream if you are watching live at the moment and if you

are watching on an Android device or on a PC you can have live subtitles it's

incredible isn't that lovely oh I see mr. steve is making a strange sound yes

he is I think mr. steve is doing some singing

upstairs I think maybe that's what you can hear I think it's mr. Steve I hope

he realizes that he should be on now one of the problems with mr. Steve is he

doesn't have a watch he doesn't he never wears a watch and because of that he

always loses track of time so mr. Steve often loses track of time

because he doesn't wear a watch what about you do you wear a watch do you

have a watch on your wrist mr. Steve will be here in a moment doing something

very interesting Bert first of all we're going to have a look at one of my full

English lessons one of my full English lessons this is an excerpt

from one of my full English lessons where I talk all about household chores

then after that we are going to join mr. Steve who will have something very

special to show us

you

can you see what I'm doing here I'm hanging out some washing this is one

of my weekly chores that I have to do it must be done regularly to be honest I do

not enjoy doing chores they are such a chore we often use the word chore to

describe an unpleasant or laborious task something we despise or dislike doing

can be described as a chore there are many different types of chore that must

be done washing the dishes I hate having to wash the dishes mowing the lawn I

hate having to mow the lawn putting out the rubbish I hate having to put out the

rubbish

vacuuming the carpet I hate having to vacuum the carpet but for me the worst

chore of all has to be ironing my clothes I cannot begin to tell you just

how much I despise ironing especially when there are so many clothes that need

ironing yes I'm pretty sure that my least favorite chore has got to be doing

the ironing do you enjoy doing chores which chores do you hate doing the most

so there it is a little teaser because mr. Steve is now on his way

doo-doo-doo apparently we have live subtitles now so if you want to click on

the subtitle button there are live subtitles who remembers last Wednesday

do you remember a conversation that we had last Wednesday mr. Steve and myself

just my standard white shirts for work you know where were the tie I never

ironed them because I bind non iron shirts and they're very good as long as

you take them straight out of the washing machine don't spin them too much

and put them on a hanger put them on a clothes hanger hang them up all the

creases will be gone and I mean they don't look at quite as good as a fully

ironed shirt but they're good enough for work as you know I hate ironing you've

never owned anything well that yeah yes I've dwell as I just explained

I hate ironing that's why I don't there's a subject to talk about on

Sunday what do you I am what do people I am oh wow I'm sure people will be

queuing I hope YouTube has enough bandwidth okay and I just can I just

warned the internet they think that the wires the cables on the internet might

melt on Sunday because of all the people trying to watch let's talk about what do

you normally I in thank you iron shirts to iron underwear not iron jeans so

there it was last Wednesday and now here he is live doing the thing that he

promised to talk about and actually give us a demonstration of its mr. Steve

doing the ironing live hello mr. Steve oh hello thing mr. Duncan

oh you interrupted me I'm extremely busy today

you know I can't afford to spend too much time live with you today on air

because I've got so many chores to do inside and also outside I've got all the

gardening to do so if you don't mind then I can do the live lesson with you

today but I'm just gonna have to carry on doing my jobs particularly the

ironing so is that all right mr. Duncan you don't mind do you

I don't mind because last week you mentioned this didn't you you said

wouldn't it be a good idea to talk about ironing we can ask people if they iron

their clothes and I was a little bit sarcastic about it but mr. Steve

insisted he said look I want to do it I want to do the ironing live on YouTube I

think this is the way forward for YouTube it's more about the fact that I

just haven't got time to appear today so I'm just really doing this at the same

time so we're gonna be teaching English and at the same time I'm going to be

doing some ironing so I've got all my words prepared here that the phrase is

the idioms so we can still do those but I'll just have to carry on if you don't

mind and I hope everybody at home doesn't mind either

so what what are you ironing at the moment that's what I'm buying at Mike

one of my tops from Pedram last week who was mentioning my tops my polo shirts so

I've got one on and that one is now ready I can wear that one so that's done

you got very excited last week because Pedro was saying xed Pedro was saying

some very nice things about your clothes he was I don't have Pedro's on today but

I don't normally do socks by the way it's a bit of a waste of time doing

socks I think Pedro's watching the football he

probably is but to anybody else who is interested in ironing so this obviously

this is an esteem honor so I can give a little squirt of steam

because the designing process go extremely well that is a steam iron it's

a steam iron yes mr. Duncan so what do you mean talking about today I'd have to

shout let's know you to shout Steve what have you been talking about

today there mr. Duncan today we've been talking about the weather because it's a

beautiful hot day it certainly is not a day for being inside the house because

it's so hot it's beautiful let's have a little look outside because there you

can see a live view outside at the moment it's a absolute beautiful day now

that is a live view you can see that the Sun is out and everything is very very

hot and I think Steve wishes that he was outside at the moment in the garden

don't you oh yes but the problem mr. Duncan is that if we go outside you will

suffer from your hay fever this is true of course we can't have that so that's

why we're staying indoors and it gives me this opportunity to get all my

ironing done at the same time which is great I've got all these phrases here do

you know what I'm gonna talk about today mr. Duncan well we've been talking about

football ah and I think we might be talking about

football today because England are playing and guess what the the match has

been very exciting especially if you are an England fan because today England are

playing Panama and the last time I checked the score it was seven nil what

do you mean England I've got seven goals seven goals past Panama Oh fantastic I

suppose we are expected to win that particular match I don't know how good

panamera are but they're probably no match for the England team I think we

were we were the favorite to win what do you think that looks amazing as are

those your jeans of course I'm not doing your iving with the Duncan Duncan

between you and me mr. Duncan does no ironing whatsoever yes as you just saw

as you just saw in the clip that we played I I hate doing the ironing I

can't stand it I wonder where that other sock had gone to are you really ironing

your socks yes I don't normally I there is he after -

quick go over nothing special now these are what

I earn a lot these are my sort of casual shirts

that's very nice you can see that's very very creased because it's comes straight

out of the washing machine yes it's very creased and crumpled it's

very creased and crumpled so that needs a night I can't go you would go outside

into the public wearing a shirt like that that hasn't been ironed if you

notice mr. Duncan when he goes out his collars are all flat because he doesn't

iron anything so it makes it look as though he's sort of a tramp for a bit of

a tramp so I always tend to start with the collars that's what my mother taught

me start with the colours I don't know why but that's what she said and of

course you know you tend to remember what your mother told you and so that's

what I start with that the collars so there we go I've done the inside and

then I'll quickly go over like that just to flatten it down what about that

perfect I will say one thing it's getting a lot of attention on the live

chat would you like would you like to see the live chat steam oh yes I would

what's it I don't see any steam there is steam how can I get it to steam I don't

know it's a very it's a very subtle steam but there is definitely steam

steam there my goodness there's a lot of Mika says she's got the same iron as me

no it's a Philips comfort to15 okay if anyone wants to know what the model is

just in case you want to go out and buy the same steam iron as mr. Steve and

Meeker what is it again amico what the model name yes it's a Philips comfort

to15 a Philips comfort to15 so you can order that and you will have the same

steam iron the same steam iron as mr. Steve and Meeker is not alive Steve

dense steam demonstration yes show us the steam go on then put me back on put

me back on your suit you're so bossy mr. Steve he's

here we go you see this it only steams when you tip it up like that so there we

go can you see the steam coming out now no yeah no we can't you must be able to

see that it's steaming away oh yes I can see it if you put it in front of your

your shirt that you're wearing ah bit of contrast yes we need some contrast oh

that's it keep keep the iron still and then let it out I'll tell you it's like

a sauna in here yes are you getting you all steamy getting the wrinkles out

won't it mister that's one thing about doing the ironing it's very good for for

getting the wrinkles out of your skin because of all of that all of the steam

yes of course I don't normally a few people I don't normally do socks and I

don't do underwear but I'm only doing them today because because we're live

and I want people to think that I you know I look after my clothes properly

and I'm I'm orderly and presentable from the outside all the way to the end you

know what my mother was used to say yeah you need to you need to have clean

underwear and ironed underwear because if you're ever in an accident then when

you go to the hospital and they have to cut your clothes off at least you've got

clean tidy underwear I don't like the sound of that that's what she used to

say so yes I'm afraid it's household chores today while we're teaching

English and I just hope that people don't mind really I don't want to upset

anyone yes but do you want me to go over a few phrases or do you want me to carry

on well this might be a new trend you see on the internet I'm hoping that we

are starting something new on the Internet where people will will show on

their live streams them doing their their household chores so you never know

it might be smite be a new trend I hate ironing this shirt it's very it's

got like a cheesecloth sort of feel to it and it's very difficult to iron I

particularly hate ironing this shirt you see very good at it

oh I've been practicing for years mr. Dongo see you could get good at it as

well if you could be bothered to try no I'm dead like marks out of 10 I'm quite

happy too if anyone wants to send me there I mean by the way I'm quite happy

to do it for them obviously for a cost I don't do anything for free so you're

hoping to set up a business yes why not a steam iron business maybe I should get

one of those presses you know that come down mm-hmm like that somebody just

talked about one of those the other day of course what I've got to be careful

about is when I'm talking to you I mustn't leave the iron on too long cuz

I'll I'll burn the clothes you might burn a hole in your shirt

wouldn't be very good would it it would not you want to see me folding a shirt

up because I'm quite good at folding shirts up you know my goodness so so not

only can you iron you can also fold yes let me just finish up here

I shall quickly go over the rest of this and then I can because you're always

been very impressed with the way that I can fold shirts impressed you've always

said to me mr. Steve oh I thought you'd probably don't say mr. Steve you

probably say Steve when we're off not on air among other words and and you always

are impressed by the way that I fold my clothes so I won't give a live

demonstration of that I'm quite happy to do so like maybe I can teach somebody

something about that you know and then we will look at some words some football

words that are also used in general English words yes what words words

associated with ball games because as I discovered there aren't many idioms or

phrases connected directly to football so they're more sort of Universal

concerned with ball games quite a few of them I was quite surprised you came up

with a few didn't you before I went on hmm and then I research done bit of

research and come up with a few more so hopefully that'll be interesting right

we've nearly finished this shirt so that I can fold it up for

you can give you a little demo there we go that'll do because the thing is it no

point in ironing it too much but as soon you've worn it and then you get in the

car it gets creased straight away that's right that's why you know that's the

reason why I always think that doing the ironing is such a waste of time because

the moment you put the clothes on that they become creased anyway that so all

of that lovely ironing is just a waste of time

absolutely mr. Duncan so here we go I've done up a few buttons and I'm now going

to turn it upside down like that I'm going to fold the arms oh no I need a

flat surface really no do it on the there we go that'll do I need a flat

table really go on Steve but if I fold that in like that yeah that's one and

then I fold that side in and then fold that in and then put that it like that

and then that up like that Wow you know what that looks like that looks like the

way in which they fold clothing in the shops what do you think not bad eh

pretty good that's if I was putting it in a suitcase of course which I'm not so

I'm going to hang it up because I don't normally keep shirts folded like that so

what I'm going to do instead is put it on a hanger just like that

you see so that's on the hanger but I'll tell you something I always do it the

top button hmm because that keeps the the collar looking neat if you hang them

up with the collars if you hang them up in your wardrobe with the collars like

that they get pressed against other clothes and the collars going flat

that's you know keep the top button done that's it Steve because that's the bit

that I hate that is the part of clothing that I really hate it's actually that

the collared area that I hate because they always Bend upwards so that's why I

never wear t-shirts with with the collars because

the colours always stick up and I don't like it I find them very awkward to use

I'm gonna hang this on your microphone because I've got nowhere else to hang it

there we go what a handy hanger I see so Steve's Steve's actually using my

equipment to hang the washing on now this is a new shirt do you want me to go

through any words yet let's have a look at a couple of words to do with football

but of course and of course ball games but not all of these are just football

words they can also be used in other ways as well so show us the first one

Steve the first one how about this one get the ball rolling uh-huh right so

there can you see what I've done there mister don't gasp get the ball rolling

yes catch the ball get the ball rolling what does it mean that's an idiom from

really any ball game well some ball games apparently you have to start them

off by rolling a ball on or something I don't know exactly why but it means to

get something going so start an endeavor to start a task going the effort needed

to start something going for example if you were decorating if you wanted to do

some decorating for example and you know what it's like if you want to do some

decorating it's quite an effort isn't it there's a lot to do you've got to get

the paint you've got a clear everything away you've got to prepare the rules so

what you could say is that let's move all the furniture out of the room and

just get the ball rolling hmm so you do something in order to get that task

moving you want to decorate so you just lets move the furniture out let's get

the ball rolling let's start something moving or you might have a meeting at

work for example and you want to do something at work and somebody says any

ideas how we can do this who's going to get the ball rolling yes so you're

inviting somebody to make a suggestion who's going to get the ball

and they've got to come up with some suggestion about how to get this project

going so in general terms if you get the ball

rolling it means you start things off you get them underway

exactly that's it let's get the ball rolling so I've got the ball rolling on

the use of idioms by using the phrase let's get the ball rolling

you know what Musti that's very clever oh I'm not just a pretty face mr. Duncan

you certainly aren't let's have a quick look at the live chat before the next

word because a lot of people want to say hello let's just see what's going on

here yes there is there is an election taking

place in Turkey that is underway at the moment so it will be very interesting to

see what the outcome of that is apparently it's it's only six goals the

England of score and apparently the Panama have scored one so the final

score apparently is England six and Panama one so England are the winners of

that particular match that's excellent yes through to the next round are we it

looks like it it looks like I don't know who were playing next it doesn't appear

that we're against any big teams so what I'm looking forward to seeing is

something like England against Germany or maybe England against Russia it's a

mess his birthday today oh is it really according to Palmyra oh I see birthday

too messy

so how lovely we've got somebody there who said Alessandro Alex I said that

he's been a student for us for a lot for a long time and so thanks very much for

that indeed I'm not very happy I've had a few offers to do ironing for people

quite willing to do that as long as you pay me

quite happy to do your ironing but I won't do it for free

maybe you could make a donation to mr. Duncan's channel and then I'll do it for

free yes there you go oh look at that yes Katherine says she's happy for Saudi

women because I believe that was on the news yesterday that they sounded women

are going to be able to drive cars that is true and I think is that that we're

talking about they've been talking about that for some time but I presume it's

just come in has it well it was announced a while ago but I think today

the law actually comes into effect so women will be allowed to drive cars in

Saudi Arabia help progress around the world

when I say England and Panama of course I'm talking about the team

so the team consists of more than one person so yes so you might so they they

is the England team so it's a group of people yes when when the cotton is

cotton it means that it's curly please don't iron it oh I see so Sergio

is giving you some advice there Steve do you mean that certain style of clothing

that it doesn't need to be ironed oh I see yes I think that was my complaint

because I often complain about the way that things become very curly were

especially collars on shirts and things like that yes they can be a real pain

apparently Jobin says you have repeated apparently multiple times which is not

how you should speak Thank You Jobin for your expert advice there did I say

should I say professor Jobin who apparently is the professor of English

yes professor Jobin Thank You professor Joby I don't do very well on the program

just a minute no apparently which is a radio

Oh people have to speak for a minute on a particular subject that they're given

by their by the host and that there's a panel of four or five people and if they

if they repeat a word or hesitate somebody presses a button and then if

it's a correct challenge yeah they then get to speak on that subject it's been

running for about 50 years it's a very interesting program it's called just a

minute just a minute is a radio show it is and I say the same person has been

hosting the show for 51 years and apparently it's the longest-running

radio show with the same host for 51 years can you believe it and the person

who presents it is 94 years old 94 Nicholas Parsons Nicholas Parsons is

his name yes you can't be out of water so I'm gonna use that I'm gonna use this

to put a bit more water in the in the steam there we go

Steve needs to put some more water fine water

Steve's putting some more water in another one but it's a bit creepy so I'm

gonna give it a bit of an iron for this okay please don't start a fire the next

one is keep the ball rolling uh-huh keep the ball rolling so I've

started telling you about idioms related to sort of ball games mm-hmm so now I'm

going to carry on the conversation this task without letting it flag without

letting it lose any vigor or energy I'm going to keep the ball rolling so at a

party for example you could say to somebody you're oh you go in and talk to

the people in there keep the ball rolling until I've got the food ready

yes so to keep things going to keep things going keep the energy going the

momentum going in something you could be at work and you're doing a project that

needs a lot of time and effort to do it and you might so your boss might say to

you you've done very well with this project so far but it's not finished yet

you need to keep the ball rolling and till it's finished keep the ball rolling

keep the energy going until it's done there's another one that's a good one it

is I thought that was a good one mr. doing Steve do you want to see something

funny well I can see you from here so is that what you mean this is something

else no come on the other night we were

watching our favorite TV channel we were watching our favorite TV channel ideal

world is a shopping channel and they were selling watches they were selling

watches now what you have to do is you have to present the watch in the best

possible way and that means you have to make it look as if it's good quality and

also very reliable so what is the first thing the most important thing that you

should never do when you are trying to sell a watch well take a look at this a

lot of big companies have developed this for this this 2018 our favorite center

of magnificent just so there it is so that's what you don't do everything

again mr. Duncan you know you never shake the watch show it again and try

not to talk over at this time Steve a lot of big companies have developed this

for this this 2018 this she was caught trying to get the watch to work that is

so funny absolutely brilliant so yes she was

selling this watch very expensive watch it was a very expensive watch and and of

course it wasn't working properly so she started to shake the watch and lighter

on we noticed that that particular watch was withdrawn from the sale and I think

it was because the the the audience had caught her shaking the watch let's have

another look at that because it happened so quickly but it's brilliant so let's

have one little look a lot of big companies have developed this for this

this 2018 this is magnificent yes you can see half the watch is working and

half of the other half of it isn't can you see me very well I seem a bit dark

no we can see your perfect Steam's good we can see you so well okay fine well

anyway I've got to carry on ironing mr. Duncan otherwise I might be accused of

dropping the ball horses look at that drop the ball drop the ball that comes

from sort of rugby or American football or even cricket it means to drop the

ball means to make an error or to miss an opportunity and for example if you're

at work and you were doing a project I don't know why I keep talking about

projects at work but I don't you might say I don't want to drop the ball on

this project it's very important I could get a promotion out of this or you might

say your boss might see it say to you don't drop the ball on that one it's a

very important project so it might also mean to lose momentum or to even make a

mistake to make a mistake to make an error yes so you've been given a project

or a task or something to do and it could be a long project and then you

sort of lose interest in it but it's been very important to get it done and

you drop the ball you make an error it's just like if you were in a game say

cricket or not football because this is in games where you are allowed to touch

the ball like rugby and the ball is in the air and you've got to catch the ball

if you catch the ball the opponent's called out well if you miss that catch

you've dropped the ball and so you've made an error so you can use that phrase

in life when you make mistakes about things mmm you drop the ball so there

you go and well anyway all this talk is is is is really distracting detracting

away from me during this important task of hiding but of course if I'm not doing

that I'm not keeping my eye on the ball oh oh oh we could see what you were

doing coming thick and fast now is the day your being can I just say you are

being very clever today unintentionally unintentionally so keeping your eye on

the ball is a similar to not don't drop the ball

really it's a similar expression it just remained it means to remain alert and

focused on a task there we go keep your eye on the ball keep a focused on the

task in hand it's equivalent really to you know don't drop the ball in a way so

if an example of that could be you did a great job you were really on the ball

with that project so it just means or you could say for example oh I'm not on

the ball today I had a very bad night's sleep but I thought well I think I think

keep one's eye on the ball means to concentrate on what you're doing yes to

remain alert to remain focused that's it so so if someone tells you to keep your

eye on the ball it means you must pay attention it means you must not lose

concentration exactly yes keep your eye on the ball so I've got to keep my eye

on the ball when it comes to the ironing otherwise I won't get the task completed

by the end of this livestream so that's what we're doing we're talking about

words to do with the word ball all general words to do with football but

balls balls in general apparently on the live chat we have a few people

commenting we have Mohammed meadow who says I can't understand everything well

there are if you look underneath the video there are actually some live

subtitles so if you are watching on an Android device or on a PC not Apple

because it doesn't work on there for the time being

but you can get live subtitles so if you want to follow this live and you want to

read what is said underneath live thank you YouTube it's very kind of you to

give me live subtitles thank you very much

indeed very they've let more people see you dancing extreme that would be even

better that's the only slight problem Steve is not many people are able to see

me because youtube doesn't tell my subscribers really yeah they don't

really advertise you out there and and tell people that you're out there which

is a shame but hopefully we will overcome that with our scintillating and

fascinating lessons for example with me doing the ironing I'm sure this will

break all records on YouTube viewing figures don't you mister doing I think

so as I said the other day I hope that YouTube can can handle all of the

viewers watching mr. Steve do the ironing Tran asks can mr. Steve iron

some more paper I said can I tell you what would be funny Steve if you if you

were to iron one of the spiders from last week there we go so there's one

I've just used keeping a ball rolling so I'll crinkle it all up there we go it's

all crinkled up and now let's see how effective this iron really is as I said

before this is the Philips comfort to15 model and we need lots of steam so there

we go that's a bit what do you think better that's much better

I haven't got all the creases out let's give it another go that's a bit better

please know the spiders anyway mr. Duncan have you moved there life I've

let them all go in how Arden that was that's hot I've I've let the

spiders go in the garden they were all running around free what neighbors

complaining that we've got tropical poisonous spiders wandering around

a lot poisonous well they might think they are yes that's their problem not

mine Joelle or Joelle says oh hello to mr.

Duncan and mr. Steve thank you very much hello Joelle hello I read says today I'm

making black currant jam would you like some black currant jam mr. Duncan and

mr. Steve thank oh that current jammer now I'd love to as you might well know I

like to make jam and but I've never made black currant jam now that's delicious

really tart that's got a delicious flavour and it must be very good for you

look if any of any any of these fruits that have got the dark skins are very

good for you which is why I like to make blueberry jam and damson Jam because

it's very good for you if I do all those sleeves I can't remember now yes that

one's done all right let's put it on a Haggar this is a very expensive shirt by

the way mr. Duncan it looks it it is I got it in a sale because I always get

all my clothes in sales because they don't like to pay full price for them as

you said last week that one is ready for a work do and I shall hang it on your

your microphone stand again let's hope it doesn't upset the balance yes it

should be okay if it falls over it's your fault

there we go time to another word another word right carry the ball Oh carry the

ball okay this is an idiom oh yeah I can tell by your the inflection in your

voice that you've never heard of this law mr. Duncan I I must admit this

doesn't seem to be one that I've heard used before carry the ball it comes from

a sort of American football or rugby and it means to take charge to assume

responsibility to take charge of something so your boss in a meeting

might say right I need someone to sort out the fire

Department who's going to carry the ball on this one

so in other words who is going to put their hand up and say I'll do it I'll

take charge of that you know what I think that's similar to Steve I'll show

you what I think it's similar to let me just show you this now on the screen

it's very similar to that do you think carry the can carry carry the can is a

bit different because I think doesn't carry the can mean that you are going to

take the fall you are going to be the one that takes the blame for something

that's gone wrong yes Otto ought to take responsibility for something yes but

that's usually for something that's gone wrong isn't it hmm whereas whereas this

one carry the ball means that is you are going to take charge of something so

there is a difference between these two expressions there is definitely a

difference I would say mr. tone can carry the can usually means I think I'm

right in saying that if you were to carry the can on something it means

something's gone wrong someone has to be blamed and and you're

the one that's going to take the blame for it even though it might not be your

fault that's it so you have to carry the can you have really taken that work made

a big mistake yes and he caused you in and says look I can't be seen to be the

one who's who's done the wrong thing here you've got to carry the can for me

yes whereas carry the ball mean to take charge I must I must say I've I've never

heard that expression so maybe it's used more in American English he's gonna

carry the ball on this one I don't know why I said that did a semi

American accent it was very good thank you very much

well it's nice to see that you agreed Lou today mr. Duncan yeah it's nice to

see that we're working as a team and you're playing ball you play ball play

ball that's a from baseball ready it means to cooperate huh with or act fair

with to play by the rules to play ball

here's an example if we manage to persuade John to come and work for us do

you think he would play ball hmm in other words do you think he'll play by

our rules he's working for somebody else at the

moment but if he comes to work for us there are certain rules and ways of

working he's got to a deer too so let's ask John to come and work for us but do

you think he'd play ball yes do you think he'd work to our rules and

regulations so that's an interesting expression so to play along or to go

along with another person's rules or regulations or the things they require

if you join in if you agree to go along with what they say you will play ball

play ball and just the opposite of that would be if you don't play ball and

quite often the expression is used in that negative way hmm so for example you

might be and I know examples of this I've work in sales and we've got a team

of eight people in our particular sales team but some people do things their own

way they don't do things according to what become how the company wants them

to achieve their successes they might do slightly risky things they don't play

ball so you might say for example she's supposed to be part of our team she but

she does things her own way she doesn't play ball so that's how you could use

that exact expression so it means really sticking to the rules of a game hmm in

whatever environment or endeavor you're in there so that's that right what I got

left wine how about some underwear here we go I'm showing my under mate

I'm live across the world I don't normally iron underwear yeah I can

actually I can actually stop you thirsty because I dad you're not on the screen

at the moment oh right okay thanks for that let's have a quick look at the live

chat so the live chat is very busy we mustn't forget

about the live chat yes Tran says I've got to iron the iron

really I need another iron for that if you let

the spiders out you are not making a big favour for them because some of the

spiders they are not conditioned for the outside so it's the same action if you

beat them yes don't worry I haven't really let them out they don't actually

belong to us the spiders they don't belong to us so yes and that's what you

should do if you don't want to iron things put them on a hanger and then let

them dry and you don't have to wind them but yes I don't normally iron

as much as I've ironed today I'm only doing it because I wanted to do well I

was on my work bike my sort of dressy shoes

I was ironed those Montenegro satisfied with 6:1 England Panama we certainly are

not not like we really follow football from windy Montenegro bye bye well as

Marella it was lovely to have you here and of course don't forget we are back

on Wednesday we will be going in around about 10 maybe 12 minutes we'll be going

so the live stream will be shorter and they will be short from now on so only

90 minutes Sergio has come up with a use of the word an idiom that I hadn't

thought of today okay have a ball oh yes if all to have a

great time well done Sergio to have a wonderful time you have a great time at

a party or maybe you have a great time in your life you are having a ball well

done that's fantastic so I'm glad to hear that Sergio is having a ball with

our live chat you are having a great time we were all having a ball with the

live chat so let's have a look at your indepence there we go so I'm going to

iron my cow inclined underwear I don't normally do

it of course but it's I know it's going to feel more comfortable if I do so

let's do that

all right that'll do I'm sure people want to see your underpants we have oh

my my tissues have gone a bit I've gone a bit there we go

I think they need a bit of an iron so it's just Oh pure luxury so Steve is

high-end tissue in his pocket there's no stopping you

we've we've had a complaint by the way complaint a complaint from posh tarna

posh tarna says I hate you Thanks thanks a lot everybody say that

before what I hate you because you don't read my comment well I have read that

one and also posh Tana is saying bye forever oh well the problem is we can't

read all of the comments because there are so many and it's moving up the of

the screen and we can't always read them all so bye-bye then

pashtun are very sorry to see you go yes I'm very sorry to see you go McLean too

upset we've just read your message we just read it now so you can stay yes

then there's another message and we'll read it something you know maybe a bit

nicer that's actually it's up to you really

oh right okay so well I attended look here I'm gonna I'm gonna move out of

order here because pasture a pashtun are there threw me a curveball oh okay

look at that oh I'm on the ball today mr. Duncan that is an event or an action

that is unexpected hmm so what Pashtun has said there was

unexpected because we don't normally get people making comments like that so an

event or an action that is unexpected or difficult to deal with even for example

Bob just told me he's quitting and going to work for our rival company

what a curveball so that's in baseball the the ball can be it can skin come but

as funny angle or in any ball game the ball can come in at an unexpected angle

well what they normally do when they throw the ball they put what they call

spin on the ball so they throw the ball and the ball curves as it goes towards

sometimes you can't predict it so it's an event of so we out of the context of

sport if something unexpected happens you can describe that as a curve ball so

we just had one there live somebody if we weren't expecting somebody to be

nasty to us and maybe it's our own fault but at the same time we weren't

expecting it so that's an example of a curve ball I've got news for you Steve I

I get a lot of people saying they hate me they knew you like like what I do

dear me so another seven minutes and then we are

going so I think we've got time for a couple of more but first of all I want

to show you something very interesting because this is something interesting

that I want to talk about and maybe we can talk about this on Wednesday we

return on Wednesday at 10:00 p.m. UK time we do why what is the strangest

thing you've ever found now I'm going to show you something that I found a couple

of weeks ago in fact we found it together whilst walking and here's

here's a very strange thing that we found the other week something that was

abandoned and we were quite surprised to find it so there it is we found this

just sitting alone looking very lost this particular item is a guitar very a

very strange thing to find abandoned

we're going on our regular walk on a Saturday and there it was basically on

the edge of a field yes no sort of object you normally find

I want to know how can you lose a guitar I know we haven't said we saw it again

but then we haven't seen it we didn't see it this week did we mr. Duncan now I

think it's gonna make maybe the person who it belonged to has actually come

along and reclaimed it I think so but of course I couldn't resist playing a tune

on the guitar there I am look playing I think it's rock around the clock I'm

singing there or maybe not unfortunately I wasn't playing it really because I

can't play the guitar so though it is something we found abandoned but maybe

on Wednesday we can talk about this as well we can extend this particular bit

and ask what is the strangest thing that you've ever found abandoned have you

ever found anything unusual another thing of course we could ask have you

ever found any money now I seem to have an ability I don't know why I seem to

have a very strange ability to find money in my life when I'm walking around

or sitting down or doing something I often find money just on the ground it's

a very strange thing so that may be something we can do for next Wednesday

when we return at 10 p.m. UK time you find lots of money mr. Duncan that is

very correct how much money I wonder give me a ballpark figure ah there we go

I slipped another word in there can I just say you were on fire today

literally it's so hot with this iron going in the steam so a ballpark or a

ballpark figure is an approximate number yes or maybe a rough guess a rough guess

very good that's exactly it mr. Duncan apparently it originated from a

commentator watching a game of football many years ago and he was asked to just

crime how many people were watching in the stadium or the ballpark as they

called it sometimes in America so he gave a ballpark figure an approximate

number of people who were watching but you can use this of course it's an idiom

so you can use it outside the world of football or ball games for example you

might say I know you can't tell me exactly how much it will cost to repair

the roof just give me a ballpark figure an approximate cost there and your boss

might say oh you might be doing a project and you might you can't get it

going until you can give some estimate of the cost so you might say I need a

ballpark figure in order for this project to go ahead often we get that

don't be for example if we're doing big projects the government are doing big

projects they might make a rough estimate of how much it will cost and

you call it a ballpark figure just something roughly approximate to what

you think it might be that's it your best guess your best guess if you can't

give an exact number or an exact figure for something give a ballpark figure

which is your best guess exactly mr. Duncan another look at the live chat

just very quickly because we have some comments about the abandoned guitar Oh

maybe someone was feeling despair because they weren't kissed in the

kissing gate and then they abandoned their guitar good what a good suggestion

Katherine I like that Katherine that's pretty good

only three strings Judy says yes how could you spot their only three strings

on that guitar that's my super high definition quality Wow there were only

three strings on it maybe that's why they abandon it because one of the one

of the strings was missing yes - Donna said she really loves this oh that's

nice thank you thank you very much thank you pass Donna for saying you lovers

isn't that lovely how much money did you find mr. Duncan well sometimes it's a

very small amount and sometimes a very large amount I've actually found lots

and lots of money in one place just left abandoned quite amazing we don't like to

abandon anyone on the live chat but we do apologize if sometimes we're not

deliberately missing people out it's just that sometimes there's so many

comments we can't read them all yes that's it so we are going in a

moment I think we have just enough time for maybe one more or can I do two more

mr. Duncan if I do them quickly do you want to do two more

okay mr. slate you see I've made a big effort to do them so two more I just

ironed them first make them more presentable good this is a directly

related to football move the goalposts uh-huh that means to change the rules to

make it difficult for others to achieve something you move the goalposts so

saying you were trying to score a goal in football and somebody move literally

moved the goalposts and you missed it's you know it's really sort of analogous

to that really so usually it's done by somebody in authority they move the

goalposts so for example if you were doing very well at work and achieving

all your targets whatever they were that your boss had set you but you've got

them done a bit early you know early then maybe everybody expected then your

boss gives you extra things to do before you pay your bonus so then you would say

he's moved the goalposts you'd be quite angry

another thing you can say Steve is they changed the parameters

yes changed the parameters yes they change the goalposts

they changed the conditions they altered what was expected they moved the goal

posts as a great day move the goalposts that's quite a nice vision in your mind

as to exactly what that expression means yeah like

that like we've got get that a lot at work when we think we've achieved up

cheesed our sales targets and then your boss says oh I think you can do a bit

better than that I'm gonna I'm gonna put some more on there and you get very

angry because you thought you're gonna be paid your bonus and yet you haven't

right his is the last one then one more one more he or she has scored who so

obviously in in in ball games if you score means you get a point you've got a

you've got the football goes in the back of the net

etc but outside that so that means it's a successful outcome

yeah you've kicked the ball towards the goal it's gone in you've scored but in

in life if you're chatting somebody up maybe a boy is trying to chat up a girl

and in the end he gets a kiss robber then his friends might say oh you've

scored hmm and that's quite commonly used in the pursuit of love or sex so

you you know Johnny's been chatting that girl up all night but I've just seen

them kiss he's scored yes and you've caught you can use it the other way

around a girl can score if she's chatting up a boy of course as well you

might also say if someone went out last night to a nightclub you can ask them

did you score yes in other words did you go back to

someone's house and you know have a kiss and a cuddle have a kiss and a cuddle

let's leave it at that say no more so that's it that that mr.

Steve has done his ironing I've got it all done yes it's all done and we are

now at the end of today's live stream because we have shortened the live

streams they will only be 90 minutes long at the same length as a football

match oh don't go that's very clever of you that was unintentional

so we'll see your Wednesday stir you can have a quick look at the live chat

before we go one last look at the live chat and then we are going

mmm oh yes but I thought by everybody

it's been great we had a nice time today mr. Duncan now everybody's saying

goodbye cousin it we're going see you all on Wednesday thank you very much to

TJ and Belarusian Tran passion hash Tana yes posh Tana was very angry with us but

now I think I think posh Tana is friends forever I think so

Palmyra Tatar and thanks for teaching us you are welcome bye mr. Duncan thank you

very much thank you Shirin Kunal thank you very much and as I just mentioned we

will be back on Wednesday at 10:00 p.m. UK time

isn't that right Steve it's seven years but I won't have my iron with me on

Wednesday another tip for a while whilst you are doing the ironing never answer

the phone ah because you leave the iron on top of the clothes yes also you might

pick the iron up and think it's the phone hello anybody there

and then your ear will be burning I can feel the heat I must remember to turn

this off when we finished don't forget so we're going now I hope you've had a

good time Steve I have everybody out there had a good time and forward to

seeing you want to get on Wednesday yes catch you later Steve bye that was mr.

Steve he has gone and I'm about to leave as well I hope you've enjoyed today's

live stream lots of things going on lots of things happening I hope you have

enjoyed it we'll have one last look outside because it's an absolutely

glorious day you can see a little tractor can you see the tractor going by

at the bottom of the screen so you can see the farmer is very busy at the

moment gathering all of the grass and later

later in the year that grass will be used to feed all of the cattle and sheep

during the cold winter months that said it's time to go I hope you've enjoyed it

I'll see you on Wednesday Wednesday night 10:00 p.m. UK time

this is mr. Duncan in the birthplace of the English language saying thank you so

much for following me I hope you have enjoyed the live subtitles which have

appeared today I hope they have been helpful don't forget you can catch me on

Wednesday night 10 p.m. UK time and also next Sunday at 2 p.m. UK time of course

Handheld Remixes of Ice Cream Sundaes || Fork Yeah - Duration: 4:56.

- I really, strongly remember

the cherry dip as a kid, vanilla with cherry dip.

I don't know why, I just,

I think [it] was my go-to as a kid.

So we're like figuring out ways

how we can really incorporate

some textures into it besides

just the shell and the ice cream.

Like, can we get a sauce in there --

can we get something crunchy inside?

And it's a cone after all, it's not a cup.

So it doesn't hold.

We almost wanna make handheld sundaes.

- What a mess.

I feel like banana is one of

the hardest flavors to re-create.

And this is spot on: it's not

too overbearing, it doesn't taste

artificial or anything like that.

And it mixes perfectly with that strawberry.

In a lot of ways, it's even better

than a banana split, because

I always felt like eating a banana split,

you either were just eating

ice cream, banana -- even when you

ate them together, they never

both were singing in harmony.

And here it's just, this like,

great balance, and working together in flavor.

Nice little crunch from the shell,

I mean, and that's what we're here for:

the dips, you know, and

I almost wish there was more nuts,

a little extra crunch would be great.

But it's soft serve: it's smooth, it's creamy.

Like, it's summer: What's not to like?

At one point, completely Instagrammable,

now it's a little bit of a mess.

But, there's plenty more ice cream to be had.

We're gonna get into the Big Kahuna next.

Wow, that shell is awesome.

You get such a great toasted coconut flavor,

and the little nibs that they added

in there with it give it this great

crunch and chew that's like you're

eating like coconut chips,

or something like that.

Ooh, make sure to get some of this

pickled ginger in here.

You know what this is: this is the

kid-friendly Piña Colada. You know,

you get that same coconut flavor,

and the richness like you're drinking

coconut milk -- it's so good.

And the cookie too.

This is a hefty sundae, and I

got some more work to do.

But, we've got another sundae to get into:

the Peanut Butter Deluxe.

Yo. I feel like I'm having

a chocolate renaissance for myself.

I've never liked chocolate ice cream,

as you guys know -- I talked about it before --

and again I find another delicious,

incredible, creamy, chocolate ice cream here in New York.

Mmm. Those three different types

of peanut butter give you different mouth feels.

You're getting crunchy from the peanuts,

smoothness from the sauce, and then,

a bit of sweetness from the dip itself.

And saltiness, too, of course.

I'm gonna keep working on this

ice cream cone, but if you liked what you saw,

please watch another Thrillist video,

and like, comment, and share below.

Is Bangladesh GDP Higher than Pakistan? | "SHONAR BANGLA" Ep13 - Duration: 4:25.

Hello friends welcome to our channel Social life you are watching our special series Shonar Bangla and this is Episode 13

In today's video we will be discussing Pakistan's and bangladesh's Economy.

As seen in video title the question is Bangladesh's GDP is higher than Pakistan ?

You will know the answer just watch our video till end.

So friends iam Ahaan you are watching Social life let's start our video.

Friends there is a big notion saying "sometimes you win a war not by your strength but due to opposition mistakes"

Some similar scenario is applicable here

First talk about Bangladesh GDP per capita

Friends bangladesh over took Pakistan in GDP per capita nominally in 2017 and in 2018 ...

Bangladesh's GDP per capita is 1754$

while pakistan's is 1640$

And this gap will increase because

it has 2 main reasons

first is bangladeshs GDP growth rate is faster than Pakistan .

Pakistan GDP growth rate is under 6%

While bangladesh GDP growth rate is over 7.5%

Second reason is population control

Bangladesh has controlled their population very well

Bangladesh has achieved 2.1 replacement level in 2016

And bangladeshs population growth rate is 1.1%

for india it is 1.2%

and Pakistan its 2.2%

These are the reasons and bangladesh GDP per capita will be higher than Pakistan in future.

Now let's talk about GDP

First of all GDP will be calculated in local currency and then that GDP will be compared with international currency like US dollar

Now let's see Pakistan's GDP

In 2017 Pak's GDP was 31,692 billion rupees and

Pakistan's currency value was 105 RS

And by evaluating this with US dollar we get standard GDP of Pakistan which was 305 billion dollars in 2017

And in 2018 Pakistan's GDP growth is 5.8%

And the GDP of Pakistan in local currency is 34,396 billion rupees

now let's see currency rate of Pakistan which is 115rs in 2018

by dividing this value we will get GDP of Pakistan in 2018

which is 297 billion dollars.

The GDP of Pakistan is declining due to its currency devaluation.

If we see the currency value of Pakistan in June 2018 it is 122rs

now let's calculate the GDP of Pakistan with this currency value we get 282 billion dollars

this is due to low currency value in june

therefore pakistans GDP is 282B $ in 2018 while the bangladesh GDP in 2018 is 285 billion dollars.

Friends whatever statistics we showed here it is quarter 1 values

and in quarter 2 the GDP of Pakistan could decline more because its currency is declining.

Friends you can see this statistics by Searching Economy of Pakistan and open Wikipedia page

and this data is released on the official page of Pakistan bureau of statistics

you can visit the page by clicking the link which is in description.

When people talk about bangladesh people still consider them as under developed country

but that it not true

and the way GDP of Bangladesh is growing in 2018 or 2019 it will over take Pakistan's GDP.

Few years ago to think bangladesh will over take Pakistan was very difficult

but in last 10 years the development happend in Bangladesh is unbelievable

due to this development GDP of bangladesh can grow much faster in future.

So friends what you think about this video please write your comments below.

South Africa; Land of Sorrow - Duration: 10:00.

I just talked with a friend from South Africa

During this past weekend it have been 7

more farm attacks

and 4 people where murdered.

At this moment - Afriforums

trauma unit is working with

the relatives to aid them

in this situation they have been

thrown into

There is always a risk in these kind of crimes

- if we are going to call it crimes.

And that is that this will just be numbers in som statistics.

A game of numbers.

That is already fateful.

It is hard for us, on the other side

of the globe, to comprehend.

To actually realise.

When I was down in South Africa just recently, I interviewed Dr. Dirk Hermann

From Solidariteit.

He had realised this kind of problem.

And therefore worked on a book:

Land of Sorrow

What he does in this book

is to give all those persons that have suffered or

died in an attack a name

so they don't just become a number in the statistic

So it is not a pleasant bed time tale.

I'll read some of the paragraphs

To show what it is about

That it is actually persons behind the numbers.

Peoples shattered destinies.

Because of what happens in South Africa today.

Start with 1991

9th of September.

And so it continues

in 350 pages.

With murder and attacks.

Against farmers in South Africa

This gives names to the statistics.

This is crimes that the South African government don't take seriously

They choose to frame this as normal crimes.

They denies the racial motivations

That it is blacks that

attacks white - because they are white.

The whites are being portrayed as ockupants.

To a land they claim belongs to the blacks.

That the whites have stolen the land.

That is what the constitutional change is about.

That the blacks are going to "retake" the land

that the whites stole

That is not what it is about.

What the blacks are interested in is what the whites have done with the land.

The infrastructure - the possibility to produce something out of the land.

That is what they are interested in.

They want the end result.

On the cost of the white man.

The international community have so far not acknowledge

the situation that the white farmer are in.

It is up to us to highlight the situation.

To that degree that

our own politician can't ignore

the situation that our brothers and sisters in

South Africa are in.

Movies With Less Than Stellar Acting - Duration: 6:54.

No matter what your job is, everyone has an off day now and then.

Unfortunately for the people who work in Hollywood, their off days tend to be recorded for millions

of people who can go back and watch them again and again.

When actors who usually provide stellar performances stumble through a role or just plain phone

it in, the results aren't just surprising, they're hilarious.

Here are some of the films that feature some not-so-notable acting from some of the most

reliably great actors to ever hit the screen.

Island of Dr. Moreau

With his intense, method-acting performances in movies like A Streetcar Named Desire and

The Godfather, Marlon Brando is an incredible on-screen presence.

Or he was, until 1996's The Island of Dr. Moreau hit theaters and nearly tanked his

reputation.

Things started to go sideways right from the beginning, with Val Kilmer - who was brought

in as a replacement after Bruce Willis dropped out - demanding to be given even less screen

time than he had.

He even threw a mid-shoot temper tantrum that would make any toddler proud.

According to the Telegraph,

"He reportedly sat on the ground and refused to get up."

As for Brando, he spent his time demanding that the script be rewritten every afternoon

and not learning his lines, which were instead read to him through an earpiece as he acted.

Not a huge problem, except when radio interference would cut in with "lines" from a police scanner.

According to David Thewlis, he once shouted out, "There's a robbery at Woolworths!" in

the middle of a scene.

At least all that struggle and suffering was worth it, right?

Well, not exactly.

In an obituary for Brando, Roger Ebert called it, quote, "perhaps his worst film," and

Brandon Judell from Critics Inc. offered what might be the best description: "Satan's Sesame

Street."

Dungeons & Dragons

If you've ever played Dungeons & Dragons, there's a good chance that you've gotten

really into creating your character.

Maybe you've written a whole backstory, complete with a childhood tragedy, and dreams

that can only be achieved by killing goblins and taking their stuff.

Maybe you even do a voice for your character!

If so, then you're probably better at it than literally anyone who was in D&D's big

screen adaptation, a movie that didn't even manage to actually include a dungeon.

No one gets out of this movie unscathed by its awfulness, but Jeremy Irons delivers a

scenery-chewing performance that might not be good in the traditional sense, but is so

wildly over the top that it's often cited as one of the movie's only redeeming qualities.

"Let their blood RRRRAIIIIN from the skyyyyyy!"

In fairness, he brings exactly as much seriousness to role as he should, and if you look at him

as an arch-villain played by a 14 year-old first-time Dungeon Master, it totally works.

Unfortunately, that's about the only thing in this movie that does.

The Beach

You can spend an afternoon discussing the incredible performances that Leonardo DiCaprio

has brought to the screen.

After making the jump from amateur pretty boy to serious adult actor, he's turned

in amazing roles in Inception, Catch Me If You Can, The Aviator, The Wolf of Wall Street,

Django Unchained, and… uh…

The Beach.

If one of those things sounds like it doesn't belong, well, there's a reason for that.

"God, sorry.

I thought I was doin' pretty good."

The Beach won't make any list of Leo's best movies, even though the setting is a gorgeous,

exotic paradise we wouldn't mind being stranded in, as long as we were far, far away from

its horrible acting.

Watching a cast this talented fail at making any of their emotions seem convincing would

ruin a vacation no matter how beautiful the scenery was.

The nicest thing CNN's Paul Clinton could say about the actors was that, quote, "everyone

has a lovely tan."

Too bad there's not an oscar for that.

Hudson Hawk

In theory, Hudson Hawk should've worked.

By 1991, Bruce Willis had redefined action movies with Die Hard, and shown off comedic

romantic-lead chops in Moonlighting.

Casting him as a charming thief who just wants a fancy cup of coffee but gets a blackmailed

into one last job seems like a slam dunk, especially when you throw in a plot that escalates

to cartoonish extremes.

There's even a musical number built around the clever idea of synchronizing a heist to

a catchy Bing Crosby tune that could play up Willis's aspirations of musical stardom.

"And all the monkeys aren't in the zoo/And every day you see quite a few."

In practice, however, Rolling Stone put it best:

"You want to throw things, yell at the actors, beg them to stop."

The slapstick cartoonishness of the movie makes it nearly impossible to get a handle

on the tone, or even the basic consequences of characters' actions.

To make matters worse, Willis's everyman charm comes off as self-satisfied smugness,

making him easy to hate.

While the cast is full of great performers like Andie MacDowell, they seem like they're

suffering just from being there and want to share that pain with the rest of us.

That bit with "Swinging on a Star" is pretty good, though - especially compared

to Willis's other attempts at music.

North

You'll be forgiven if you've forgotten about 1994's not-so-classic, North, starring Elijah

Wood.

It's about a boy who's on a search for the perfect parents, and there's a huge cast of

stars, including Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jason Alexander, Bruce Willis, Jon Lovitz, Dan Aykroyd,

Reba McEntire… you get the picture.

Unfortunately, the final product makes it look like all these stars were hired without

realizing just how offensively stereotypical their roles would really be, and once they

read the script, they just wanted to get it over as fast as humanly possible.

Roger Ebert said it best…

"I hated this movie!

Hated, hated, hated, hated, hated this movie!

Hated it!"

What was cringeworthy in the '90s is now probably a piece of Wood's resumé that he

wishes everyone would forget about.

Sorry, man.

The internet never forgets.

Daredevil

If Justice League actually left you wanting more superheroic action from Ben Affleck,

you could always try 2003's Daredevil.

If nothing else, it might just make his take on Batman look better by comparison.

"I'm not the bad guy."

From the first trailer, Affleck always seems to be reminding himself what he should and

shouldn't be reacting to.

He's far from the only guilty party though - Colin Farrell's Bullseye replaces the comic

book villain's deadly menace with an over-the-top, twitchy performance with reactions that make

it seem like he's the one who's never seen things before.

As for Jennifer Garner, well, the less said about her performance, the better.

In fact, you really only need to say two words: Playground Fight.

Highlander II: The Quickening

There are a few reasons Highlander II: The Quickening got a staggering 0 percent on Rotten

Tomatoes, but it basically comes down to Sean Connery and Christopher Lambert.

You could almost respect them for thinking they could turn this awful script into a good

movie, and Connery's almost enjoyable enough to do it, but it's pretty clear that they

gave up and decided to phone it in pretty early in the shoot.

There is a plot, but it was stupid and you really shouldn't spend time thinking about

it.

Connery and Lambert don't seem to know what's going on most of the time, and if the actors

don't know, then there's a good chance the audience won't, either.

The first movie had that killer soundtrack by Queen, but according to critic Brian Orndorf,

this one is more like listening "as a franchise is epically flushed down the toilet."

Sounds like when it comes to Highlander... there should have only been one.

"Will I ever see you again?"

"Who knows, highlander?"
