Heading into Haying - Equipment and Tractors of the Ranch - Duration: 9:07.
Hi I'm Mike. Today we take a look at haying in Northeast Wyoming.
The mowing, the raking the baling and the equipment that we will use.
We will also take a look back at some of the older equipment they used to use
Its all coming up on Our Wyoming Life.
Welcome back to Our Wyoming Life.
Work is piling us as I'm sure it is for you and originally, we had planned to brand
calves this weekend.
Well that has been pushed back a week because we have had more rain and branding wet calves,
even working with wet calves is no fun at all.
So on short notice I had to come up with something that I could make a video about and make somewhat
interesting.
The story of my life.
If this is your first time here please subscribe and I'll give you a couple of good reasons
why.
Number one well you can come along with us and explore the ranch life and escape the
ordinary.
That's our usual deal and its true.
Each and every week we bring you more from the ranch, some good some bad but its all
there and real life.
The other reason is that we are heading into haying season, in fact, the weather is supposed
to straighten out a bit.
Next week we have temps in the 80s and no rain in the forecast so things are going to
dry out a bit letting us into the field to begin cutting grass and making hay for all
the animals to eat all winter long, and hopefully make enough of it to where we don't have
to buy hay.
But the verdict is still out on that.
Before we can even cut one blade of grass we have to get equipment ready to do that
and I thought it might be cool to take you on a journey with me through haying here on
the ranch.
With each piece of equipment, we use we are going to go through it thoroughly.
In fact, maybe even well enough that if you came to help you could.
I don't have a ranch hand this year, so you just volunteered for the job.
Each step of the way through this entire haying season, my plan is to show you the how and
the why and maybe even throw in something a little special now and then.
So subscribe make sure that you follow along and don't miss a thing.
Today we are going to get started with the haying process by getting all of our equipment
out of storage.
Now this may sound mundane but it's the first step on a long road that people in this
area have been walking down for years.
This is a sythe, the grim reaper thing, traced back to 500BC and it was cutting edge technology
for thousands of years.
It was used to mow hay and crops, which was then stacked for animal use or later thrashed
to extract the grains.
We have come a long way since then but even out in the pastures of the ranch we still
find old remnants of years gone by.
Mowing is the first step in hay production on the ranch.
In the past we have mowed using a swather but this year we have actually sold our swather.
The money will help the ranch and we have other ways to cut and mow our hay.
Sickle bars are the basis of the mowing system and have been for years.
Some newer technology includes disc mowers, which we don't have.
Our mower is a Rowse double 9 mower.
And just like this old horse drawn mower out in a hayfield on the ranch it uses a sickle
to cut the hay.
This mower has been in this exact spot for many, many years.
I imagine it was dropped right where it broke down 75 or even a hundred years ago, A rancher
threw his hat down and said that's it.
I'm buying a tractor and off to town he went.
Leaving this 8 foot mower behind and a testament to frustration.
Hopefully he grabbed his horses.
Now our Rowse double 9 mower can cut 18 feet in one pass.
Its roughly 30 feet long and we are going to spend a lot of time pulling it around the
field.
Usually with our feeding tractor, the john deere 6420.
We will spend most of our time during haying in this tractor and it's the most comfortable
to drive, for me anyway and the AC works really well.
The mower will cut grass and lay it down behind it, allowing it to dry faster and be ready
for the next step the haying process.
Once hay is cut and dried enough we can begin raking it into what are called windrows for
the baler, our next step to come along and pick up.
But the baler wasn't invented until 1936, we will get more into that later.
So before then they still had to gather hay and do something with it until it could be
fed over the winter.
Most of the time it was raked and stacked.
Raking was done using a dump rake, again pulled behind horses.
Just like this one, well almost just like this one.
Over the years this one has been modified for tractor use.
Imagine a seat on here and all the operator had to do was move a lever and try not to
fall off the thing.
It would be pulled through the field gathering cut hay in its teeth until it was full.
Then the lever would be moved and the rake would dump out the hay.
That hay could them be moved into a stack for storage.
When we first came to the ranch, Gilbert was still using dump rakes, they were pulled by
tractors and up to 40 feet wide.
Recently we upgraded to a wheel rake, this rake is easier to use because there is no
dumping involved.
You just pull it through the field, the wheels spin, gathering the hay in a 30 foot range
and lay it out in a nice row.
Theres really not much more to it.
We usually pull it with our John Deere 6410 and if you can drive in a straight line you
can run a rake and its often where I start ranch hands while haying.
The most complicated part of the haying process can be the baler.
Baling changed the livestock game completely in 1936 with advent of the first automatic
baler.
The first round baler, the predecessor to ours came around in 1947 with the Allis-Chalmers
Roto-Baler.
We bale using a round baler, creating bales that are 5 feet wide and 6 feet tall, and
can weigh up to 1500 lbs each.
Other types of balers can make smaller bales, and some make bigger, including big square
balers that can make bales up to 8 feet long and 4 feet high.
There are different reasons for making different kinds of and shapes of bales.
Ease of feeding is a big one for us as we roll out our bales in the winter for cows
to eat.
But a big factor for us is the storage of the bales.
Round bales shed water and moisture from snow better than big squares and since we store
them outside that's a big consideration.
Also large square balers can take a lot of horsepower to run, round balers can often
run on a tractor with about 100 horsepower, so there is no need to have a bigger tractor.
Our baler is a john Deere 568, its got an extra wide pickup to enable it to gobble up
more grass and make bales faster.
It wraps bales in a netting, as well that protects the bale better than just twine.
Our John Deere 4055 is our biggest tractor with just over 106 horsepower, enabling us
to pull a heavy baler up and down small hills without over taxing the tractor.
Our next step before haying will be going through each of these machines before we use
them.
The mower needs some sharpening and everything needs greased and then we will be ready to
go to work, making the food that the cows will depend on all winter long.
Haying can be one of the more strenuous times on the ranch, theres a lot of pressure to
make bales and make them fast, efficiently and correctly.
Over the next couple of weeks we are going to learn everything there is to know about
these machines from how to maintain them, how to fix them when they break to running
the baling computer and making sure you are making the best bales you can.
There are many factors that go into making hay but one of the most important is the moisture
level of the hay we bale and we are going to be testing that as well.
I hope that you are willing to come along with me, I promise to leave this thing at
home.
We are going to get a lot done, hopefully we are going to make over 500 tons of hay,
that's a million pounds and over 700 bales that the cows are going to thank us for every
day this winter.
Please subscribe, hit that bell so you get notifications when we release a new video.
Its gonna be a lot of fun, and just a side note, haying is when a majority of accidents
happen around here so be careful, I know I will.
Check us out on facebook and Instagram at ourwyominglife for content you cant find anywhere
else and I will see you again on Tuesday as we continue work on the project list.
Until then, have a great week and thanks for joining us in our Wyoming life.

Best Restaurants & Bars Near Nationals Park - Duration: 4:53.
If you're heading to a game at Nationals Park, I'm going to tell you about my favorite places to eat and drink nearby.
Hello! Welcome to Trip Hacks DC, my name is Rob.
I'm a tour guide here in the nation's capital.
If you're coming to Washington DC and you're looking for the best tips, tricks, and hacks for exploring the city,
make sure to subscribe to this channel and to the bell
notification icon so that you don't miss any new videos. And if you're interested in signing up for a Trip Hacks DC tour,
head on over to www.triphacksdc.com
afterwards, to see the tours that I offer. If you've been to a game at Nationals Park and have any favorite places to go out
nearby, leave a comment on this video and let me know what they are.
Also, make sure to check out the video description where I'll leave links to all of the places
I'm going to talk about in this video, and a Google Map to show you exactly where they are.
So let's get started... The first place on my list is Justin's Cafe
Justin's has a special place in the hearts of many Nationals fans because, believe it or not,
there was a time, not even that long ago, when the area around the ballpark looked completely different than it does today.
Justin's opened for the 2010 baseball season and for the next three seasons
if you wanted to go out before or after a game, it was Justin's Cafe, because nothing else existed yet.
This is still my favorite place to go before a weeknight game because of their awesome
progressive happy hour. The way that it works is that you can get a craft beer for $3 from 4-6pm,
$4 from 6-7pm and
$5 from 7-8pm, and trust me when I say that a $3 craft beer is a
legitimately awesome deal in DC; and if you want to eat here the pizzas are my favorite thing on the menu.
If you are a craft beer lover then a trip to Bluejacket is almost mandatory on a trip to DC.
Bluejacket is a very cool urban brewery, where beers are brewed
on-site and at any time you can get about 20 of them on tap; and a few special cask ales as well. The beers rotate
seasonally, so if you come here in the beginning of the baseball season
you'll be able to try different things than when you come at the end of the season.
There's also a really nice outdoor patio, and on a game day
you can get a sausage or a hamburger cooked up on the outdoor grill.
Next on my list is Bonchon, a Korean style fried chicken restaurant.
My all-time favorite bar food is wings and beer and Bonchon has both. With all of their chicken dishes you get to choose
spicy, soy garlic, or half-and-half. I personally always go with the spicy. In addition to wings
they've got chicken strips,
chicken drumsticks, and a full menu of Korean dishes that don't even have anything to do with chicken at all; and on gamedays the kitchen
stays open until 11 p.m, which is usually plenty of time for a post-game snack.
There are a lot of options for outdoor drinking near Nationals ballpark, but my personal favorite is the Brig.
It's actually the farthest walk from the ballpark, but it's worth it in my opinion. The brig calls itself
DC's "secret beer garden" because it is the neighborhood's best-kept secret.
It's located just a block north of the 8th Street gate of the Washington Navy Yard.
Hence the nautically themed name. They rotate about 20 beers on tap with a mix of German and American breweries,
including some from DC; and if you do have kids with you
it's worth noting that they do advertise being family-friendly. Now, of all the bars and restaurants located near Nationals Park,
the one that is truly a baseball bar is the Big Stick. When you walk in the door
you'll see their logo of Teddy Roosevelt swinging a sausage like a baseball bat.
And if you haven't yet guessed from the name or the logo, their signature dish is sausage.
There is plenty of Washington Nationals memorabilia on the walls. In the back corner is an
F.P. Santangelo Montreal Expos jersey,
which is relevant because he's currently the color commentator for the Nationals, and can sometimes be seen at places like the Big Stick.
So while it's pretty rare to see an actual player out in the neighborhood,
it's not that uncommon to see coaches, announcers or other staff at a place like this. The last two places
I want to mention haven't even been open for a full baseball season yet,
but their location is really awesome. Due South Dockside and Piccolo are both located right on the riverfront boardwalk.
They're located right under the Yards Park Bridge,
which you might remember if you watched my Instagram video. Because the Yards Park is such a cool place to hang out,
I think that these are gonna be great additions for daytime ballgames.
And before we end this video
I just want to say that the area around Nationals ballpark has come a long
way since it was Justin's Cafe or bust; and it's still developing at a breakneck speed.
There are a lot of great places and the one I've mentioned are just my personal favorites,
so if you have any favorites,
make sure to leave a comment on this video so that others can look and see what they are. And that's it!

Anxiety of Parenting A Child With Autism│What BCBA's MUST Know - Duration: 9:00.
I don't know how parents stay married honestly I don't know how the hell they
don't they stay married or stay together in the same home when you have a kid
with a severe disability I truly do not know how they do it you know I've been
doing this almost 20 years now and I feel like I've I can work with any kiddo
or adult and I feel really confident that I can work with them and change
behavior but here I am I'm three years into this
position and I still feel stuck trying to change parent behavior and once we're
gone and once the fundings over and once we're no longer there they're the change
agent and there's times I walk away thinking like what's gonna happen when
we're not there have I done enough have I broken through enough to work with
these families so they feel confident with their children's problem behaviors
I think that the biggest piece I got away from a bai at that presentation
which was the impact of parental stress on the family unit and how it hinders
their ability to parent manage their children's problem behavior and
implement the strategy that you want them to implement so if you look at the
first line of the introduction it says raising it and I love this because they
kind of go right they go right for the jugular first line of the article
raising a child with autism involves chronic challenges consistently
associated with high levels of psychological distress and parents and
then they cite several articles they're good articles by the way they're not all
in Java but they're really good articles I definitely would recommend you guys
take a look at those such distress can significantly impact a parent's ability
to manage their child's behavior and reduce the effectiveness of behavioral
interventions so I don't want to say I minimize it but I think sometimes you
just kind of get so into your world that you don't realize some of the stressors
that the families are going through so let's just kind of take a minute and
stop there you guys are all in homes and then you ladies are all in homes what
are some of the stressors what are some of the some of the stressors that you're
noticing your families are going through that maybe
feeding them parenting the way they may want to and or implementing that the
strategies you want Amanda firstly work schedule okay sure
if both parents work and even if it's not such a huge work schedule just being
pulled out of that mindset sometimes makes it so that they're extra stressed
about getting along you're done getting dinner on the table getting the other
kids homework and this that and the other thing that that's you in their
home that they can't find the mental space to really commit to the
programming and you find these big gaps and when they're applying it awesome I
were trying to there's a family in South Jersey were trying to support right now
he's a big kid he's like six to 250 not good in vehicles we're trying to use the
limo to help them work on car safety and my first question to the PC was well
what about the parents car they have one vehicle and you talk about work
schedules mom works eight to two she comes home they switched off and dad
works 3 p.m. to 3 a.m. so they never see each other so you talk about stress and
the impact of that on being able to manage your children's behaviors or I
mean like that's a big deal I mean it's hard enough for parents like
to go out and have a date night or to like get that time till I go out with
their friends and um you know just not having an outlet and a few of the
families that I work with they're like single moms and they can't name their
child with a babysitter and there's just a couple most of other things family
members it's too much of a strain to ask them
like it just limits them some kind of like being themselves so that's the
that's the micro recurrent theme that's the stressor one of the things I like
about our company is that I think we're very aware of that stressor and so even
though we're not respite if we can use 20 minutes of hey mom like okay take 20
minutes and we'll work with your kiddo and then you come back refreshed or take
half an hour it can go a long way so a single mom who's working lots of hours
it's tired by the time they get home you may not be able to implement these
strategies the way you think they should right right just but how is the parents
supposed to really know that they're doing the best thing when there's so
many other treatments that are competing awesome right amazing you can say
nothing you better give me an answer yeah you may have some you may have
people who have rules in their head about like you know there's other
treatments there's other treatments and that may keep them from implementing a
behavior analytic treatment that's been proven to work if you if you're governed
by a rule that says there's got to be something else there's got to be
something else you may not implement something that has been proved to be
effective so great point Jason one of the larger ones that we final discussed
of all things calling for a specific just specific behavior is any of the
kids you really affect parents sweet and then I mean that results in significant
lack in treatment integrity a lot of times throughout throughout plans yeah
and it's hard to do to try to help those parents when you might put a plan in
place saying at two o'clock in the morning you have to redirect the child
back to bed and already done at seven times and respect
them to run in with integrity I'm living at right now with it with the case mom
never sleeps I mean she if she sleeves three hours at night it's it's a great
night for her and that made new Jews having no energy I think I was actually
just in situation yesterday like the marital stress when one parent feels
like they buy in the other I had a dad who was refusing to come to the parent
training portion of our session we've just got done a 13-hour shift and wanted
to relax and a fight started between the two parents where she said I'm here
every day doing this you can at least give us an hour and it was like you know
then have to mitigate that and that's I think very stressful for the parents
I've had a couple parents that I was probably in the community setting
they've received so much feedback from other people criticizing them and their
parenting skills that we may implement a particular of generalize expose the
community and the parents don't have buying because they've just been
attacked or verbally assaulted by so many people in the past that they don't
even want to know the situation goes
you're not pairing the right way I mean in a different language that's what
you're saying there's there's actually reference to
that in the second paragraph about that where parents have had those situations
and so now you may tell them hey make sure when you're when your child does
this ignore and then you've got this rule going on like if I'm ignoring I'm a
bad mom or in the past I or I'm a bad dad in the past I've been told you're
not gonna ignore that you're gonna you're gonna do whatever you can do to
have your kid oh stop tantrum I got one comment on the parent thing I'm sure
I want to mess up your mojo but this doesn't feel like it's important because
I experienced it so yeah and I've said this before I just want to reiterate
that I don't know how parents stay married honestly I don't know how the
hell they don't they stay married or stay together in the same home when you
have a kid with a severe disability I truly do not know how they do it for one
reason alone if there's a shared parenting and there's a divorce or or a
separation but suddenly the one parent has a life that never had one before as
in a life outside of just constantly attending to someone with severe needs
which is very nuts and is one of the most noble things you can do but also
they need time for themselves and my own circumstance at home and many other
families that talk to me now that I'm a parent of a child with autism they tell
me all the time they're like I don't know how we were even married that long
so I just want you to be aware of that because especially when the courts get
involved there's usually a shared parenting and suddenly those two parents
have a whole new life yes because they're not attending to the that
learner on the autism spectrum intensely every second and I'll suddenly
experience new things in their life like dating or like going out to dinner or
like wiping your ass without someone screaming at you like literally shit
like that no pun intended

#RefreshingSummertimeArt / "Sanctuary" (Level 2) Painting Tutorial / Video Hop - Duration: 27:36.
Hello my lovelies! Welcome to "ART BY ESTER A"!
[faint background music]
I am so excited to be bringing you this video tutorial as part of the video hop
collab #refreshingsummertimeart. It is being hosted by Angela of "Painting
w/Fibromyalgia" and Diana of "ArtfullYours with Diana". And all of the creators
are members of the "Creative Arts Collaboration" on Facebook. Please visit
the description box below and visit everyone who created a video for the
event.
You'll need five colors to create this painting: titanium white, deep violet,
light blue permanent, cobalt blue hue, and cadmium yellow light hue. To begin we're
going to use a #10 bright or you could use a 3/4" wash brush. To start
we're going to take our deep violet and apply it to the top of the canvas. This
canvas is a canvas panel 8"x10". After you apply the deep violet, we're
going to take some titanium white and start blending it down, so it gets
lighter. Once you've got about two inches, we're going to add the cadmium yellow, as
you see here. We're going to start from the bottom -> up, and work our yellow into
the blended part in the center. So our gradient is gonna go from purple down to
yellow. And as I'm adding this yellow, we're going to continue to add titanium
white to lighten the gradient as it gets closer to the horizon.
We're going to use the same technique that we did for the skyline, and use this
blending motion for the water line. Take your cobalt blue and we're going to use
that as a base for the ocean. I placed it around four finger width from the bottom
of the canvas and that's around 2 1/2". As I'm placing the cobalt (blue)
down, I'm going to be adding titanium white, the light blue permanent, and
adding those reflections in the water. We're going to add deep violet and
cadmium yellow to this water line; as the Sun is reflecting off of the water, but
we're going to concentrate the yellow in the center. So using titanium white and
the cadmium yellow we're going to create some highlights. And I'll show you how to
do that part next.
After we lay the base of the ocean, we're going to switch brushes and use a
#4 bright (brush) to add the highlights; and we're going to take our 3/4" wash brush;
wash it and dry it so we can use it for blending.
Using very light pressure and holding the brush as you see here, I am mixing
titanium white and cadmium yellow, and applying them to the top part of the
ocean. Concentrating the most lines in the center and then slowly thinning it
out as it gets to the edges of the canvas. After I add my yellow, I want to
start adding some light blue permanent, deep violet, and the cobalt blue to add
more dimension to the ocean. As you can see here, I'm taking the dry
3/4" (wash) brush that we used earlier, and I'm blending out the lines
that I just laid down. We're going to keep repeating this process as we lay
each color and each section down.
Once you have applied your desired number of highlights to the ocean, we're
going to start working on the reflection of the Sun. I'm going to take our cadmium
yellow and the titanium white, and add these lines. Sort of like making dashes
and gently blend them out with our dry (wash) brush. We're going to make about 2" to 3"
of yellow lines in the center and then as it goes down further to the
bottom of the canvas, it thins out to about an inch or half an inch. And that's
just to give you an idea of how much sun reflection lines you're going to put.
Now we're ready to start painting on the clouds. You can use a #6 cloud
brush or a #8 filbert. I'll be using both. Before I started my clouds, I
prepared my palette. I took the deep violet and I added some
titanium white. In a separate little pile, I took some deep violet and added just a
little bit of cobalt blue. And then in a separate little section, I added some
cadmium yellow and deep violet. Titanium white and cadmium yellow made a really
pretty bright and cheerful yellow, so I'm gonna use that for some highlights. Then
I took the cobalt blue and I added a little bit of deep violet to one pile,
and I added some titanium white in another. And then I took my light blue
permanent and cadmium yellow, and I mixed those two together and it made a really
pretty color. So these colors are going to be my palette for all of the
highlights and the shadows of the clouds. Next I used my cloud brush and I dipped it
into the mixture of the deep violet with a little bit of cobalt blue in it; and I
laid down the foundation of the clouds. Basically deciding where the clouds
would go and their basic shape.
Using a circular motion, I'm applying the clouds using my cloud brush. Once I've
decided where all the clouds are going to go and I'm happy with the placement,
I'm gonna switch to my filbert (brush).
We're going to repeat the same process for every single cloud, using a circular
motion and a combination of sometimes just lightly tapping. We're going to add
some highlights and some shadows to each cloud, as you can see here.

Yoga For Strength & Flexibility ♥ Intermediate Yoga Class | Cusco - Duration: 21:01.
Welcome to the magical land of Peru
we are here today in the beautiful city of Cusco surrounded by the incredible secret ruins of the Incas to bring you an
Intermediate yoga class that will not only help you gain more strength and confidence within your practice
But also allow you to truly embrace yourself in this present moment and let go of any negativity or stress that you may be feeling
focus on each breath but all your worries aside and
Dedicate this practice to yourself and your well-being
What that said grab your mat grab your water and let's get started
All right friends, we're gonna begin today seated on your mat with your feet crossed in front of you
Let's just start by adding lots of movement to the body start to release your body to one side in a circular motion
Rounding out the spine and then release and gently arch
Imagine like you're drawing a circle with your body
Moving from the hips to the shoulders and then reverse the direction big circle with the upper body
Feel free to add some head movement here as well. Just have fun with this
Breathing in deeply as you open the chest and
Release let's reach the arms forward now hollow out that belly and bring yourself up into your boat posture
lift those feet off the mat drop the shoulders away from the ears and
Then drop all the way down giving yourself a big hug. I just start to gently rock side to side massaging that lumbar spine
massaging your parasympathetic nervous system here
Awesome now hold on to one knee and extend the other leg right up to the sky here
Just holding this position and then slowly with control
Releasing that straight leg to the mat pulling that bent knee towards your chest and just focusing on deep inhalation and exhalation
Let's add a little bit of a rock with that knees side to side to add some movement to the hip
Just breathing deeply here
Flexing that straight leg now slowly bring that leg right back up towards the sky
point the toes
Bend the knee and then switching size extending the other leg
inhale and exhale slowly lower that leg to the mat as you pull the other knee towards your chest and
That gentle rock now side to side with the knee warming up the other hip
Just breathing deeply here
Wonderful now flexing that straight legs start to bring that leg right up towards the sky
Hold it here. Inhale exhale extend the other leg now so both legs are straight
pointing the toes
Bending the knees and let's start to rock up and down
so rolling like a ball exercise as you come up round through the spine as you rock back and up to both posture for to
rock it back and
Three
Now last one bring your feet in front of you and up into standing position
Beautiful coming into your standing forward fold here. Let's walk it out bending one knee at a time
Extending the other knee so you're getting a little bit deeper into those hamstrings
Good just let it go here walk it out add some movement and
Then slowly you standing up to your Mountain Pose
Let's inhale reach both arms up to the sky
exhale
Diving yourself back down to your forward fold
Inhale halfway lengthen exhale stepping one leg all the way back into your high lunge
Reach you both arms up to the sky
Just finding that Center here
Breathing deeply open up through the chest
Drop the hands back down step back to plank chaturanga. Dandasana
inhale upward-facing dog
And
Exhale release back into your downward-facing dog
Awesome
Let's just stay here and a downward dog for a moment really feel that opening through the upper back
Deep breath in exhale
Out
Slowly bending the knees go ahead and hop towards the very top of your mat
Coming into your forward fold and slowly come up to standing
Inhale reach the arms up exhale
Dive yourself back down to your standing forward fold
inhale halfway lengthen exhale stepping the other foot all the way back and
Coming up into your high lunge reaching both arms up to the sky your front knee staying on top of your ankle
Pulling the navel into the spine
So you're feeling that connection through the core and then dive the arms down step back into plank chaturanga
upward facing dog on your inhalation
Exhale downward facing dog
Now from here let's reach the right leg all the way up towards the sky into your three-legged dog
Just holding that position here, really?
Feeling that stretch through the legs
Bending that top knee and now this time bring that knee towards your chest in the plank position
Inhale extend the leg back up into your three-legged dog. Exhale knee to chest for two
Inhale reach up
Exhale knee to chest and then stepping that right foot to the top of the mat. Let's come up into our high lunge again
Finding that Center connecting with your core
Taking a deep breath in and then bring the hands in prayer position in front of you
Twisting towards that front knee and taking your twist at high lunge
So your left elbow is reaching for the right knee. Your right elbow is pointed up towards the sky
Just breathing here finding that Center and
Then bending that back knee and take a big step forward and transitioning right into our twisted chair posture
So your feet are staying together. Your knees are staying together. You're staying in that same twist. You are in your high lunge
Stay low
Breathe deeply
Now let's shift our way towards that right foot again, you're gonna lift your left foot off the mat
Extend the leg back and gently with control step back into that high twisted lunge again
This time if you're comfortable see we can extend both elbows
Just breathing here and then gently bringing yourself up into your high lunge again
So that arm that as low as reaching up to the sky. No, the other hand is reaching for the back thigh
Back arm comes forward front arm comes back as you open yourself up into your warrior two
Deep breath in open the front palm and release into your Peaceful Warrior
We focusing on the inhalation and the exhalation
Keeping your mind present in this moment
Slowly transitioning extending the front knee reaching forward and releasing into your triangle posture
Looking up towards the sky if you can
Really think about stacking the shoulders opening the hips
Bring your gaze back down and
Then slowly come up into your warrior two again bending the front knee
Hold connecting with your core holding that navel into the spine
From here, let's bring all of our way to that front foot
Hands on the mat stack your hips extend that back leg and flexed foot
opening into our Halfmoon posture
So keep your fingers grounded on the mat here the other arm reaches up to the sky if you're more advanced
See if you can bring that bottom hand towards your chest and then meet with the other hand in prayer
Wherever you'd like to take this posture just find your Center and hold
You might want to start with your hand on the mat for a while
Extending both arms out again
Top arm comes to the mat as you square off your shoulders and hips
Stepping your back foot it about the center of the mat
your left hand stays grounded as you right arm reaches up to the sky into your twisted pyramid our
Aim is to keep both knees straight
Your opposite hand is staying grounded and the other arm is reaching up as you twist from the belly button
Breathing deeply here
Wonderful, let's take one more inhale through your nose
Exhale bring that top hand down shift all of your weight to the front foot and start to lift the other leg up
into your standing split posture
Trying your best to get that chest as close to your thigh as possible
Now you can take it to your own level here
You can either just keep both hands grounded
Or grab that bottom ankle with one hand or eventually work your way up to having both hands on that ankle
Just breathing deeply here
Trying to lift that top leg as high as you can creating that one line with your entire body
Just be patient with yourself
Slowly drop that foot down and come into your standing forward fold
Let's roll up now nice and slow
Inhale, let's reach both arms up to the sky exhale
dive yourself back down forward fold
halfway inhale
Exhale hop back into plank. Chaturanga. Dandasana
inhale upward facing dog and
Exhale take it back into your downward facing dog
Let's take now the other leg
So the left leg is gonna reach up to the sky into your three-legged dog or whatever leg you haven't done yet
Good hold bending that top knee. Let's bring that knee to your chest for one
Inhale extending into your three-legged dog
Exhale knee to chest for two
Inhale extend exhale
Need to chest and then step that foot towards the top of the mat between your hands
Reaching both arms up to the sky high lunge find your Center
breathe deeply
palms together to your heart
Twisting and then that right elbow to your left Nina. So always the opposite elbow reaching for the knee
Really think about bring lots of pressure between your two hands the other elbows pointed up towards the sky
Think about bring all of your weight now to your front foot take a deep breath in
on
Your exhale we're gonna step and transition
into our twisted chair posture
So when you're ready, let's take a big step and come into your chair good
You can just readjust a little bit
If you have to keep your feet together knees together stay in that twisted posture get those hips low
twisting from the bellybutton
Keeping the hips square
Awesome, let's shift that way back to that left foot extend the right leg
with control stab it back into that twisted high lunge and
This time if you're comfortable extend through the elbows, so both arms are straight
If you're not there yet today. Just keep those arms bent
Good now, we're gonna come up into a high lunge. So that top arm comes down the arm that was on the ground comes up
Hold so reaching towards the back thigh with your back arm
Good now that top arm is going to reach towards the back of your mat as the other one comes forward you're transitioning
into warrior two
Beautiful pull the navel into the spine hold that warrior two
Now we're gonna open the front palm of your hand and then release into that peaceful warrior
Just breathing deeply see if you can look up towards the sky
Keeping that front knee bent on top of your ankle
Beautiful job inhale
Exhale
Slowly come up to Center extending the front knee shift your hips to the right
Reach forward with your body first and then releasing into that triangle posture your trikanasana
Square off the shoulders
Meaning you want to think about stacking them as if they're in one line, right?
Shoulder on top of your left shoulder
Deep breath in exhale
Let's come on up bend the knee and then shift all of your weight to that front foot as you open
And we're transitioning now into our half moon posture
So think about having the same hip position just like in triangle pose
So both hips are stacked
Your back foot is extended and flexed and if you have forward see you can bring both hands to your heart
If that's too challenging
Keep one hand on the mat
Take a deep breath in exhale out
Beautiful
Now as we transition let's release that top arm to the mat square off the shoulders and hips
Stepping that back leg towards the middle of your mat
Opposite hand stays on the ground the other arm reaches up to the sky into your twisted pyramid posture
or reverse triangle pose
Stacking those shoulders on top of each other looking up towards the sky
Breathe deeply as
you exhale release the hand to the mat shift all of your weight to your front foot and let's come up into a
standing split posture
Bring that chest towards your thigh. And if you're comfortable so you can grab that standing ankle
If not just keep both hands on the mat just breathe and focus
Lifting that top leg as high as you can
Really feeling the true benefit of this position
Deep breath in exhale
Drop that leg all the way back down into your standing forward fold
Let's flow it out. Let's come up to standing
Inhale reaching both arms to the sky exhale dive yourself down
half way exhale
hop back into plank
Chaturanga. Dandasana
inhale upward facing dog and
Exhale downward facing dog
Beautiful
Just take a moment here
Bend your knees and then hop and cross your ankles. So you come into your seated position on your mat and then
releasing back into a boat posture here
Just finding your breath holding for a moment
Taking a deep breath in
On your exhale now. Let's release with our back to the mat. Bring your knees into your chest
Holding onto each knee and just start to circle the knees away from each other
Good just away and bring it in just a gentle release of the hips again
Wonderful now let's bring the soles of our feet together and allow the knees to open into our soup to baddha. Konasana
posture
I'm just gonna allow the knees to fall away from each other. Allow your arms to stay rested and relaxed next to your body
The soles of your feet are together
Feeling a very gentle release and the hips and the inner thighs
as
You focus on the inhalation and exhalation
Just allow yourself to let go for a moment here
Allow your eyes to be heavy your shoulders melting into the mat
Let's slowly bring your knees together
just a gentle windshield-wiper to one side and then the other a
gentle release of the spine
let's reach the arms over your head and then come into your fetal position and
Then up to your seated position on your mat with your feet crossed in front of you
Beautiful let's just take a moment here to breathe connect with our breath. Let's take an inhale reach both arms up to the sky
- exhale hands to your heart and again big breath in fill those lungs with oxygen
and
Exhale bring the hands to your heart or your third-eye chakra
