So, let us take a look at another interactive[?] model to, kind of, get some familiarization with the way agent-based modeling works.

So, get and open NetLogo. We are going to go to the Files menu and then the Models Library, and we are going to Social Sciences, in this case, and under Social Sciences we find Traffic Basic, and that is the model we are going to look at in this talk.

So, in Traffic Basic the idea of this model, which actually was originally proposed by a school child, was to try and understand what causes traffic jams. Right?

And so, if we hit the setup button we can see the, kind of, way the world is existing in this particular space.

It is essentially, imagine, a big loop with cars coming off from the left hand side, driving along the world, going off the right hand side and then coming back on the left hand side.

Sometimes referred to as the Pac-Man world where you go off to the right and come back on the left, or just a loop or 1-dimensional looped world. Right?

In this particular case we see a couple of things we have not looked at before. We saw the manuals before when we were looking at some of the results in the fire model.

But now you also can see a graph show up as well, it is going to graph some data for us.

In addition you notice that there is one car that has been highlighted a little bit.

That is [?] to feature in NetLogo that allows you to illustrate more in particular agents and what their actions are.

So, again, we hit setup already so no we are going to let the model run.

And, you know, originally the idea was to build a simple model of just traffic moving without any kind of hindrances or obstacles.

But in this particular case what you will see, is that the results were not as expected.

So, let us it[?] run, and see what happens.

So, as you can see, right, clearly, quickly, right of the bat, a traffic jam forms.

And, in fact, this traffic jam will persist throughout the course of the model unless, and it is robust to a wide variety of the parameters of the model.

Now, there are ways to set up the model such that the traffic jam does not form. For instance you can really reduce the number of cars.

But, you know, if I hit the model setup a couple of times, you see that it keeps doing that. Right?

And, by the way, you know. One of the nice things with modeling and simulation is that for curious about something like the stay model[?] I just made, for instance, the number of cars drew[?] dramatically influences the pattern of behavior.

Than we can, in fact, just stop the model, lower the number of cars, let the model run.

And see, that in fact, in a world with a lot fewer cars, we get a free flow state, or state in which the agents are moving at their maximum speed that they can.

In fact, there is a speed limit in this model [one?]. And they are basically moving right at it. Right?

But let us go back to the case where there is a traffic jam really quickly. Right?

So, in this case we set up the model, let it run. Right?

And one of the things I want to point out is: if you were to describe this model from, kind of, a traditional statistics viewpoint. Right? You may, for instance, characterize the minimum speed, the maximum speed, and maybe the mean speed.

And a lot of times people have fallen in to characterizing using mean as a characteristic description of a system.

But what I want to point out is that if you look at the model, there is no one - the mean speed would be right in the middle of this max and min, right; it looks like it is around 0.227 in this particular case, right? -. But there is no car that is actually moving at that speed for any length of the time.

What happens is: the cars go to almost zero, they go to zero speed when they hit the traffic jam, right? And than they accelerate, accelerate almost [linear uply. Right?] linearly up in terms of their speed. And then they go back down to zero again.

And so, the amount of time when the car is actually at that mean speed, is almost instantaneously zero. Right? It is very close to being nothing. Right?

Which means that the mean speed of the cars is not a good characterization of the cars.

And that is what is illustrated by the red car which happens to behave mainly in the same way as the rest of them.

So, sometimes it is very important, especially when we are dealing with a dynamical system that an agent-based model produces to look at the actual dynamics of the model and not just characterize overall averages and things along those lines.

And one of the powers of agent-based modeling is, because of the fact that we reafy[?] the entities within the model as agents we can then quickly build visualizations of them that allow us to, kind of, understand and come to grips[?] with those patterns of behaviour.

Agent-Based Modeling: How to Build Models - Duration: 6:53.

How do we actually build an agent-based model?

Well, there are two basic ways to do that.

One is to build your own model completely from scratch, just like you would any computer program,

but then another way, in a way the one a lot of people increasingly are choosing, is to use a toolkit that is created for agent-based modeling.

And we have already briefly mentioned one of those toolkits, NetLogo, which is the one we will be using throughout this course.

But I just want that you know that there is a suite of other toolkits available out there.

For instance, there is the ancestor of all agent-based modeling toolkits, developed at the Sante Fe Institute in the early 90ies, which is Swarm,

written in a language called objective C. Which actually has gained some popularity again, the language has, due to the fact that it is the basis for a lot Mac OS X Apps, actually.

And Swarm still exists and is still in use, in fact there is still a meeting called SwarmFest that is held every year that you can attend, around the Swarm development and more general about agent-based modeling.

Repast was a toolkit built at the Argonne National Lab in part, among other places, and is written in a number of different languages at this point.

It has been a planned[?] in places others but probably most popularly implemented in Java, and has been around since the early 2000s. And it is pretty popular still to a large extent, still well used.

Then there is Ascape. Ascape was developed in part at the Brookings Institute and was developed primarily to support the development of the Sugarscape models that were used by Joshua M. Epstein and Robert Axtell in their foundational book on agent-based modeling that is about 20 years old now.

And there is Mason which is developed by the George Mason University in part by Sean Luke, and it is a very fast and efficient agent-based algorithm.

Mass is a toolkit that comes out of Hungary, developed by Laszlo Gulyas and some colleagues over there and that stands for the Multi-Agent Simulation Suite.

Breve is an interesting, lightweight, kind of agent-based modeling simulation toolkit that really allows you explore some of the physical aspects of building agent-based models.

And then there is NetLogo which is the one we will be using for this course.

So we will be using NetLogo throughout this course. And the reason why we will be using that NetLogo is because it is premier agent-based modeling language development library.

It was designed by Uri Wilensky at Northwestern University, who is also my co-author on the textbook, that you might want to pick up, that accompanies this course, called An Introduction to Agent-Based Modeling.

And NetLogo [?] and is still the most widely used agent-based modeling environment.

It is also the easiest to learn in many respects. And, in fact, in a hands-on kind of workshop where I am interacting with people, I can get people up and running NetLogo in, say, a 3 hour workshop or something along those lines.

NetLogo has an essential design principle that really facilitates this.

The first of all that it has a very low threshold, novices can build simple models in their first use in easy to understand ways.

It also has a pre-collegeic curriculum that includes complex systems and modeling, so even people to K–12 level, students and learners can, kind of, pick up and start to understand how to use agent-based modeling.

But it is also being used in university courses that include and require agent-based modeling.

News and media have also been brought in to look at the models as evidence for arguments that have been explained.

So it has a very low threshold to understanding and to comprehension of the models or for creation of models, for that matter.

But at the other end, it also has a very high ceiling. The language is expressive enough that enables high-end complex models. Researchers should be able to read and write and publish the models.

The idea is that traditionally in a lot of software modeling environments you have the conceptual modeler on the one hand and you have the actual software engineering implementer on the other hand. And they are two different people.

The idea behind NetLogo modelers is that these two people could be the same person.

This allows you to narrow or even eliminate the gap between the modeler and the programmer.

And it enables very interactive model development and research.

That allows interactive or iterative modeling type environments with the model developer and the model programmer constantly communicating about the model they are creating.

It also provides the ability to share the models easily, since they can be understood and worked with on a very easy to comprehend way.

And because of the fact that this gap has been eliminated between the modeler and the programmer, it makes it easier to verify and challenge models, which we think is important for the scientific progress of modeling.

Now, there is one interesting aspect of NetLogo that I feel like I should take a second to talk about, and it makes a great story anyway.

Which is that Logo was first developed round 1969 by Seymour Papert and colleagues. And Logo is, in fact, the ancestral language behind NetLogo.

So, in Logo, which was not developed as a multi-agent language but really as a single-agent language, you are essentially controlling a small little turtle robot that would go out and take actions in the world.

And Seymour Papert developed this with his colleagues to help try and teach children how to think from a computational perspective.

And when he introduced Logo to the class rooms, a lot of times he would use one of these actual robot type things.

And to get the children to be a little more interactive with the robot, he would call it 'turtle' rather than a robot. Because children would like to play with turtles.

As a result of this, the virtual realization of the agent, of that physical robot agent, was also called a turtle.

And, in fact, to this day, NetLogo, which is a direct descendant of the Logo programming language, also refers to all agents as turtles.

It does not mean that the agents are slow or implies anything about them, it is just what we call the basic class of agents within the NetLogo programming environment.

Agent-Based Modeling: What is it? - Duration: 5:56.

Hello, now that we start to explore agent-based modeling a little bit more.

We have gone over what the class is going to be about.

Let us take a step back and let us go back to discuss what an agent-based model is in the first place.

But before we discuss what an agent-based model is, I think it is important to discuss what a model is.

And I find this important because in many ways understanding an agent-based model involves understanding what the point of modeling is to begin with.

And this is something that many of you may have learned at some point in your careers.

But it is important to kind of take a refresher and take a step back and discuss this.

So, I define an agent-based model as an abstracted description of a process, object, or event.

The important point here is that it is abstracted, it is not a perfect representation, it does not exactly match up with the real world and the important thing is that it exaggerates certain aspects at the expense of others.

So, for instance in this particular slide, I have a picture of the earth and imagine this is actually the real earth that you are trying to model.

On one side we have a particular projection on to a 2-dimensional map of the earth and what that allows you to see very easily is kind of the delineation between where the earth is land and where it is water, though, of course, they have been changing in time as you may not expect.

But it does not allow certain other aspects, for instance it does not really talk about what is inside the earth. And on the right hand side I have an image you might see from a traditional intro into earth science textbook or something along those lines.

Where we show a cutaway of the earth and we can, kind of, see, what the crust is and what the others aspects are.

Now, neither of these models is a perfect model. Right? Both of these models are wrong to some extent.

And, in fact, George Box, a famous statistician had a quote to that interpretation that essentially all models are wrong but some are useful.

The perfect model is not the model that best represents the world around us, but, instead, is a model that in some ways exaggerates the aspects of the world we are most interested in and can help us solve the problems we are looking at.

In fact, my advisor, John Holland used to say that models are in some ways like political cartoons. Right?

They exaggerate and blow up certain aspects while backgrounding and hiding other aspects, so you can concentrate on the aspects they are trying to make a point about.

So, given that description of a model, then what is an agent-based model?

Well, an agent-based model in our context is a model that is composed of agents as you might expend[?].

An agent is an autonomous, individual element with properties and actions in a computer simulation.

In most of the contexts we going to talk at least it is in a computer simulation.

And agent-based modeling is the idea that the world itself can best be modeled by using agents and environments and descriptions of agent-agent and agent-environment interactions.

And the conceptual[?] seeds[?] of agent-based modeling, right, is that this is one of the best ways to describe the complex systems that we see around us.

Now, over here I have some descriptions of some different types of things that we may think of agents.

Now, generally when people think of agents they often think of humans, right? Of individual humans in this context. But an agent does not have to be an individual human, it could be a company for instance in which case the agent-based model might be a model of the interactions between the different companies.

It could, in fact, be a human. So in this graph right here I actually have a screen capture of the NetLogo HIV transmission model, in which case the model is in fact of agents who are representing humans who might spread HIV from one to the other.

Now, there is no reason why the model had to be built at the level of humans. It was probably appropriate for the particular purposes for which the model was being constructed, but it could have been built at the level of , say for instance, viruses. Right?

In which case it would be a very different model and at a different level of resolution and probably help you to answer different questions.

A model could also be a government. So here I have a representation of the capital dome in Washington, DC. And we could instead be modeling the interactions between governmental agents.

Now, over here I have a representation of Kim Jong Il, right? And I put Kim Jong Il up there, not as an indication of what you might representation with an agent-based model, but as a representation of what is often not useful to represent as an agent-based model.

So, many agent-based models try to characterize overall patterns of behavior.

And when you have one individual who in many ways is erratic, is different from the overall behavior, it is very hard to, kind of, predict or understand what that individual is going to do.

Now, in those cases there are other modeling approaches such as ethnographic modeling or in-depth psychological studies that might give you better understanding.

But in many cases I suggest not using agent-based models for these.

On the other hand, if you wanted to build a set of agent-based models in which you tried to understand the role of dictators and despots and something going on along those lines on a more generalized basis rather than for one particular individual then agent-based modeling might very well be useful for that context.

Agent-Based Modeling: Welcome - Duration: 7:52.

Hello everyone and welcome to the 2017 edition of the introduction to agent-based modelling.

If you are watching the videos in order of the videos you just watch what was the introduction I recorded last year.

And the videos that are going to be seen throughout this course are kind of an amalgamation of ones I did last year and ones we are doing this year.

We are always trying to update, refresh the course, get new content in there, make it better, greater, faster, right?

And so we are going to do our best to put the content up there.

Now, there is a major change that has occurred I need to talk about a little bit which is that NetLogo, which is the software we are going to use consistently throughout the course, has had a new, major revision to it.

And so the new version is NetLogo 6. The version we used last year was NetLogo 5.3.

And as a result there are some differences between the two.

However, in preparation for the relaunch of this course I have extensively played around with both of them, and a lot of differences are just look and feel differences.

They are just that the appearance is different, but usually for what we are doing, for that kinds of work we are doing throughout the course they essentially behave in very similar ways.

And so I don't anticipate there being too many problems.

There being said: I am going to spend some time afterwards, don't talking to you right now, to go through an examination of the two side by side, to, kind of, get you some idea of what the differences are between the two setups.

Now, there are some great changes that they made in NetLogo, that we are going to talk about later on in the course.

And we are going to do a couple of videos on them. About some new features and capabilities that really make NetLogo a more powerfull tool for agent-based modeling.

But for the vast majority of material we cover in this course that is not an important aspect of it.

And so you are going to be able to switch back and forth between NetLogo 5.3 and 6 [if is] whenever you want.

That said, I highly recommend you try to choose one and stick with it throughout the course, rather than trying to switch back and forth.

And, in fact, I recommend you to choose NetLogo 6, right?

That is the newest and greatest and it will give you the ability to just move up from now right along the way.

In fact, [if] any of the new videos I am going to be doing, will be in NetLogo 6. Even though some of the older videos are in NetLogo 5.3.

Because I want to make sure that we are using always the most update content and material.

So I don't expect any problems, but if there are please write questions on the forum, tweet us and email us, whatever.

And we will definitely address this. Maybe with additional videos, or advice videos, etc., in order to make sure that we have updated them appropriately. Right?

So, let me know if you have any concerns along those lines.

And in just a second you will hear my voice again as I am talking over the side-by-side comparison between [the two software packages,] the two versions of the software.

Ok, so as promised, here you can see the two different versions of NetLogo side-by-side.

On the left, where my cursor is moving now, you see NetLogo 5.3.

And on the right you see NetLogo 6.

And right off the back you will notice that there are some changes.

They are mainly due to the way the graphical libraries that NetLogo is now using in order to present its results.

It will be more consistent, more up to speed.

So, there are a couple of things that are not exactly the same. A lot of it is just the look.

But, for instance, you will notice that this little title bar across what is called the world is no longer there in the new version.

But all the features you want to get to can still be found by right clicking and then going down to add it.

And it will show up all the features that exist there, right?

Those are the same things you can access through here.

In fact, you could do that even in the old NetLogo. You can go down to [inspect, no sorry] edit and it will show up right away.

In fact, in many ways it is a good change. These buttons caused people problems in the past.

They accidentially clicked them and it, kind of, clears the world and people did not like that.

By the way, a lot of these comments are not going to make a lot of sense to you right now, it is too early in the course.

But I highly recommend coming back to this later on when we are actually gone through some time to build your model and do all that kind of things.

However, the most important thing is that the models still run the same way.

You can hit 'setup' and you can hit 'go' and you can hit 'setup' and you can hit 'go'.

And, as you can see, the models look very similar to each other with very few differences in terms of the results.

I so am not into expecting any problems in the near future.

When we get into the coding section we may run into some things but we will work through those as we get to them.

So, the 'interface' tab looks very similar still. The 'ticks' counter, by the way, has moved: it used to be on the titlebar; since there is no title bar it is now up here by the speed counter.

Small difference. But other than that there is not a lot.

There is also something called the 'info' tab in NetLogo models which lists all the different content that describes the model.

That, essentially, has remained unchanged from NetLogo 5.3 to NetLogo 6.

And then there is the 'code' tab. And the 'code' tab has gone through some significant improvements I would say actually.

NetLogo [is always trying, has its] is a unique programming language and has its own, build in, what we call integrated development environment.

And they have always trying to improve it over time. And so there is a couple of big features that have been added as NetLogo 6.

For instance, you know, you can see that there is a lot of code here. And let's say, I just don't want to look at some of this code.

I can now, kind of, minimise it, in order to just show me the procedure name instead.

And then I can click on it to bring it back.

There is also the ability now that you autocomplete, which is really helpful, like if you can't remember the name of...

Let's say, you are working on the code right here and you can't remember the name of the 'clear all' command, which should be pretty obvious, you can type 'clear' and it will bring up all the commands in NetLogo starting with 'clear', so I can select 'clear-all' and autocomplete the function.

One other small change that might be useful is that you can now go to any variable that you see, like 'food-source-number' and figure out where it actually was defined in the code by just going down to 'Jump To Declaration'.

That is, kind of, a nice little way to just see what does define[?] that particular [function] variable.

And that is one that maybe you can use when we are writing our code.

There is a bunch of other changes that I can't quickly show you right now, but we will talk about it [in later courses] later parts of the course.

For instance, we are going to talk about something called a 'task' at one point. And tasks could now become what was known as 'anonymous procedure'. It is a technical term but it makes it a lot easier to use them, essentially.

Another thing that has come about [is], and part of the biggest change in NetLogo 6, is there is now something called 'level space'.

And level space is a really cool tool that allows one NetLogo model to control another NetLogo model.

And I am going to talk about that in a separate video later on the course.

Now the thing is that later in the course, towards the end of the course, we use a tool called 'behaviour search' that used to be a separate download.

It is now part of the NetLogo package, making it a lot easier to use.

And, of course, there has been some fantastic bug fixes. They fixed a lot of problems in NetLogo. Right?

So, NetLogo 6 is great, as you could see just looking at it. Very similar to NetLogo 5.3, so I don't anticipate having many problems with those in terms of switching back and forth.

But if you do run into any complications or concerns, please let me know.

Thanks! And I hope you enjoy the course.

CAN VIRTUAL YOUTUBERS FALL IN LOVE?? #AnswerMeSenpai (feat. Kizuna Ai) | キズナアイのギリギリ質問コーナー! - Duration: 17:17.

Joey: And again we welcome!

AI-chan: Hai Domo, Virtual YouTuber Kizuna AI here!

Joey: Yay 2nd Video Collaboration with Kizuna AI

AI-chan: Yayyyyy

Joey: Last time we did a Kanji Test together and I won with no challenge at all

AI-chan: Ummm, did we do that?

Joey: Yeah yeah we did

So for those who missed out on the previous video please check it out in the descriptions below

Well this time, we're gonna have a bit of a chatting session and answer a few questions

AI-chan: Wow sounds so much fun compared to the last video we did!

Well it was fun but it got boring when I lost

Joey: Yeah at the end it was quite boring

AI-chan: Ehh please cut that part out

Joey: Ok this time we're gonna pick up a few questions that I gathered from my listeners from Twitter

I want to ask AI-chan this question! kind of questions

AI-chan: That sounds like fun!

Joey: Have you actually answered any Q&A sessions just for overseas fans?

AI-chan: Just for overseas fans? No I have done a few Q&A sessions before

and I have answered a few questions from overseas fans

Just a Q&A session for overseas fans? No haven't done one before

Joey: So this will be your first time then?

AI-chan: Yeap my first time

Joey: What kind of questions will pop out I wonder

AI-chan: Yeah looking forward to hearing them!

Joey: Alright let's get straight to them then

AI-chan: Let's go!

AI-chan: Ehhhhh

Well I wouldn't say it's not possible

I might 1 day be able to come over to the real world

and I might be able to experience romance like everybody else

Joey: Yeah that might happen

AI-chan: So yeah possibility speaking it's not zero

Joey: You'd really prefer someone who can go over to the real world and virtual world right?

AI-chan: Yeah if I'd be the only one to go back to the virtual world on my own I'd get pretty lonely

I really don't like long distance relationships

Joey: Well yeah, I'm in a long distance relationship myself so

AI-chan: Ah that's right, that's really amazing

and speaking of which when is your 2nd Year Aniversary?

Joey: Our 2nd Year Anniversary will be on the July 2nd this year

AI-chan: What you gonna do on your anniversary?

Joey: Well on the first week of July in the states there's this big Anime event called Anime Expo

AI-chan: Yes I have heard of it!

Joey: That's where we actually decided to ask each other out

So for our 2nd Anniversary we're just gonna go around during the event

AI-chan: That's so nice! Having something to do for your anniversary

That's so nice So lovey dovey

Joey: How would you be celebrating your anniversary AI-chan? If you decide on dating someone

AI-chan: How would I celebrate it?

I would love some flowers, lots of money and a room filled with girls

Is how I'd love to celebrate my anniversary

Joey: An anniversary filled with girls? Is that OK for you?

AI-chan: Can't I just have multiple wives?

Joey: If you're okay with that then no problem I guess

AI-chan: Yeap no probs

AI-chan: My most favorite manga huh, there's just lots

Erghhh not sure...

The one that I am reading at the moment by the way is

My Hero Academia

Joey: Ohhh yeah that is an interesting maga

AI-chan: Yes it is and

It's a series that I am in actually

A manga called Mahou Shoujo Site is quite interesting

A series I am actually in

A SERIES I AM ACTUALLY IN

Joey: You slipped in that announcement very easily there

AI-chan: No that wasn't an announcement, I was asked on what my favorite manga was so I just answered that

Joey: Oh is that so

Alright then let's leave it at that then

What's your least favorite manga then?

AI-chan: I don't have a particular manga series I dislike

If we're talking about genres, I do love girls

If it is interesting than anything goes for me

But like a manga series where there's lots of boys in it

I really don't read those kinds

Joey: So Reverse Harem?

AI-chan: Yeah reverse harem I don't particularly read

Joey: I see

AI-chan: Don't read em don't need em

But if the content itself is interesting then I don't mind if it's full of boys or not

AI-chan: Do an impression ww

So basically an anime character that resembles you?

Joey: Basically yeah and I guess who resembles you

AI-chan: Ehh who do you resemble...

Joey: AI-chan...

You are basically an anime so...

Ai-chan: I am not an Anime

because I am alive

Joey: Well previously I collabed on your channel

We uncovered the undeniable truth that

AI-chan is not a Tsundere

AI-chan: Ah yeah that's right

I really was bad at it

First off you are half Japanese

Joey: Is there an anime character that's half to begin with?

I get told by other people that

Is it an anime character? It's actually a game character

I look like the Protagonist from the game Persona 5

But I think it's my hair though

Cause looks kinda messy

AI-chan: Yeah it does

So let's go with Persona then

Joey: Alright Persona then ww

AI-chan: If you look over at Twitter

My looks resemble a character from Aikatsu, Ichigo-chan

Cause we both got ribbons

and personality wise I resemble a lot like Aqua-chan from Konosuba

So am I being praised here?

Joey: Yeah I'm not sure If you are being praised or not but I am certain

That you both are absolutely similar

Now that you mention it your personalities are similar

But yeah that's basically praising you to be honest

AI-chan: Yosh I am being praised! So happy!

Joey: I personally like Aqua too

AI-chan: Ah yay!

Joey: You look good with Twintails though is what I think

AI-chan: Ahhhh I want Twintails!

Twintails do look good on me, Ponytails too

Shortcut

and a Fluffy Perm

or some Feminine Buns I wanna do lots!

Joey: I am a guy so can't change my hair that easily

AI-chan: I want you to do that

AFRO

Joey: Afro ww

AI-chan: No good?

Joey: Well I think I can do an Afro

But I don't know

AI-chan: Let's do it, Afro

The Anime Man, tried doing an Afro

Joey: Then I'd have to change my name to The Afroman

AI-chan: Afroman ww

AI-chan: Yeah well gotta go for my girls at Keiyakizaka 46

Their new song

Garasu wo Ware! is the choice for me

Joey: I really thought you were going to say Keiyakizaka

AI-chan: Hehehehe Correct!

AI-chan: Myself

Joey: Okay how about a historically great person?

AI-chan: Historically great person?

Hmm the person who created the computer!

Joey: The person who created the computer ww

Not sure about his name though (It's this guy btw)

AI-chan: Uhuh, but if it weren't for him, I wouldn't have existed in the first place

I think the person who created the computer was really great

You have my utmost of praises

AI-chan: Ehh where should I go?

Ah I would love to go to Love Live's world

or Nagi no Asukara's world

Joey: Nagi no Asukara is a good choice

AI-chan: Yeah it's so pretty!

Joey: Yeah so pretty

The underwater scenes are so good

AI-chan: Yeah the swimming and there's a lot of fishes around, so pretty

Where do you wanna go Anime Man-san?

Joey: Ehhh where do I want to go?

Speaking of which Shounen Anime's

Most of them have like pretty dangerous worlds right

AI-chan: Ah yeah pretty dangerous

Joey: Tokyo Ghoul is a no, Attack On Titan is too a no

AI-chan: Yeah

Joey: Sword Art Online is a no too

AI-chan: You wanna go to a world that is pretty

Joey: Ah but Konosuba's world is pretty interesting

Has that RPG kind of world kind of

and has that Sword Art Online feel

But the dangers are a bit less

AI-chan: Yeah that does sound fun

AI-chan: I'd go to the future and gather all sorts of info

And become a prophet

Joey: Ah I see but if you think of it this way, ain't it a bit scary?

AI-chan: Is it scary?

Joey: You'll be treated as a weird person

AI-chan: But if I get it right

"Oh shoot she's the real deal"

Cause I'm already weird in the first place

Joey: Yeah now that you mentioned it definitely ww

Wops i just said definitely

AI-chan: You did say definitely, YOU DID

Joey: Mario Cart for sure

AI-chan: I wanna play some Mario Cart!

Joey: A bit of a warning, I'm pretty good at Mario Cart

AI-chan: Alright let's not do Mario Cart then.

Let's play Bomberman instead

Joey: Ah Bomberman, yeah let's play Bomberman

AI-chan: Alright Bomberman

Joey: Alright we might be playing Bomberman

AI-chan: Might be

AI-chan: Ehhh what would I do

I'd probably just do a Live Stream

Joey: You'd do a Live Stream and die afterwards?

AI-chan: Because If I didn't

I wouldn't be acknowledged by anyone

and disappear just like that

So yeah I'd do a Live Stream and

all the videos that I've said no to, video's that I'm still editing

and stuff that I haven't announced yet

will put them all out then die off

Joey: That's a very YouTuber-ish way of dying ww

AI-chan: Cool right

AI-chan: I don't have a goal at the moment

Joey: YouTuber's usually don't have any goals

AI-chan: Yeah they don't

Joey: YouTuber's do basically anything whenever they possibly can

AI-chan: Well once you've done everything you can and want to just quit I guess you can call that a goal

AI-chan: I don't know because I don't know how ugly or cool guys are

I think you're cool?

Joey: You think ww

Am I being praised?

AI-chan: Cause if you're not then you couldn't have gotten a girlfriend

And you being half Japanese half Australian is a big plus

Multiple countries good traits

Joey: It's not all that convenient you know?

AI-chan: Is it not?

Compared to others, aren't you quite on the convenient side?

quite on the convenient side? ww

Apparently I'm a very convenient half

Joey: Is there anyone who hates Ghibli films?

AI-chan: Yeah never heard of anyone hating Ghibli films

Joey: Cause Ghibli is like world recognized kinda

and they're like liked by everyone worldwide

AI-chan: I liked Spirited Away by the way

Joey: Ah yeah that was a good one

My favourite Ghibli movie is Princess Mononoke

AI-chan: Ah Princess Mononoke

I really like Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke

I love how their worlds are

AI-chan: I am Dere Dere

Joey: Apparently she's Dere Dere

AI-chan: EHHHHHHH

My favorite Pokemon?

Hmmm this is hard

Pichu

Joey: Pichu is cute

So you like the cute types?

AI-chan: Yeah I do!

I like that Pokemon as well

Goes like this

Joey: No I don't know ww

Could you tell me more about it's characteristics?

AI-chan: It's a Pokemon that can use Earthquake

Joey: A Pokemon that can use Earthquake?

There's a lot of em!

AI-chan: Kinda looks like this

Joey: Like that?

AI-chan: For those who know which Pokemon this is you're amazing!

Joey: Please guess in the comments below what Pokemon AI-chan is describing

AI-chan: Please write it down and

I like the Pokemon Jirachi !

Joey: Yeah Jirachi is pretty cute

AI-chan: Jirachi is cute!

Joey: I like Celebi too

AI-chan: Celibi is cute too

But the new Alola region

has different variations of past Pokemon

Joey: Yes they do

AI-chan: Vulpix is white right?

I thought that it's so cute

Joey: Personally I like Diglett Alolan form though

There's actual hair growing on top of it's head

AI-chan: Yeah when I saw that the first time I thought there's hair on it's head ww

Joey: I wonder how the next new Pokemon will look like

AI-chan: Yeah It might have an afro

AI-chan: Alright let's go

If you lose this Anime Man-san,

You have to put out a video about you talking about your girlfriend

Joey: Ehhh!

AI-chan: A video about your love for her

For more than 15 minutes

Joey: Wait wait wait hold on hold on

*Inaudible speech pattern*

What happens if you lose?

AI-chan: If I lose

I'll put out a video about me talking about my love for Keiyakizaka 46

but I have done a video about it before

Joey: Alright let's go

Rock, Paper, Scissors

Both: Scissors

Joey: Seems that we have a draw

AI-chan: One more time!

Joey: Paper AI-chan: Scissors

Oh shoot I lost

AI-chan: All right everyone be expecting THEANIMEMAN-san to talk about

his beloved girlfriend for more than 15 minutes

Joey: 15 minutes that's long!

AI-chan: Please look forward to it

Joey: Ok so I'll do an impression of your intro

AI-chan: Oh alright!

Joey: I bet It'll hurt though

AI-chan: Please do the movement too!

Joey: Alright I'll do it and AI-chan you'll judge how it is out of a 100 points

AI-chan: Ah ok ok!

Joey: Alright let's go AI-chan: Do it cute please

What'd you think of that?

AI-chan: Hmm well

About 2 points?

Joey: PLEASE KILL ME

AI-chan: Well I wouldn't say bad

I just think that it's sad that

The original work isn't even completed yet

and It still gets an anime anyways, stuff like those

Usually gets it's own original anime ending right

and there are some works that do end halfway resulting in the anime to end halfway as well but

The ones that have their own original endings

Eh AH why did it have to end like that!?!? Kind off are quite bad

Instead of the content itself being bad

Well there might be some adult complications happening there

"We really wanted to follow the original end etc" kind of excuses

Joey: So yeah rather wait for the original to finish off first than start the anime right

AI-chan: Yeah and there's one

There's this manga called Mahou Shoujo Site

Why are you laughing?

Joey: Well actually

I have read the Mahou Shoujo Site's manga

It's quite interesting

AI-chan: It's interesting right?

Joey: It's interesting so I'll say it

Go and watch Mahou Shoujo Site guys!

AI-chan: Go watch it! Yattaaa!

Anime Man-san is so nice!

AI-chan: My height? 156 cm!

Joey: Oh so you're 156 cm?

AI-chan: Yeap

Joey: But compared to my girlfriend you're actually taller than her

AI-chan: So small! How tall is she?

Joey: She's 150 cm tall

AI-chan: Cuttteeel! That's actually quite rare? Since she's a foreigner

Joey: Hmm well she's Filipino and

Asians do have a short height average

AI-chan: So cute!

How much of a height difference do you both have?

Joey: Height difference

I am 182 cm tall

So we have 32 cm height difference

AI-chan: Wow

Joey: It's a big height difference

AI-chan: So does your neck hurt cause you look at small girls?

Joey: No no

I take that into consideration and match my gaze with hers

You so nosy ww

AI-chan: Eh what can you do to make anime real?

Let's just destroy the whole world

and remake the world with anime stuff from scratch

*building noises*

Joey: But AI-chan you are basically on that side

You're in the Virtual world but at the same time communicating with the real world

AI-chan: Yeah you're right

So the correct answer is to become AI-chan

AI-chan: become AI-chan

AI-chan: Love interest, yes I do

Joey: You do?

AI-chan: Yes I do

Joey: Who is it?

AI-chan: Do you wanna know?

Joey: Yes I do wanna know

AI-chan: Ehh what should I do

Joey: Yes please do tell

AI-chan: Actually...

I love all of my human viewers!

Joey: Ah so It's like that

Alright let's go to our last question

AI-chan: I do know what is a dab

Joey: You know what a dab is?

AI-chan: Yes I do

Joey: Alright let's go then

3, 2, 1

*intense dabbing*

Hey you do know how to dab

AI-chan: Yeap I do

Joey: Where'd you learn it from?

AI-chan: I Googled it ww

Joey: Oh you googled it ww

Alright and that concludes the Q&A session

AI-chan: Ah that was it?

Joey: Yeap

AI-chan: That was so much fun!

Joey: Yeah it was!

And that was the Q&A session

We might do another collab in the future

So stay tuned

So see you guys soon!

What If the Draugr Were Real? - Duration: 5:32.

Hello and welcome back to Life's Biggest Questions, I'm Ron McKenzie-Lefurgey. Norse

Mythology tells of numerous terrifying and ferocious creatures, but few are more feared

than the Draugar. These living dead can be found across literature and video games, from

the works of Tolkien, to the Elder Scrolls, to God of War. But what if the Draugar didn't

just scare the willies out of people in Bleak Falls Barrow, but actually existed in the

real world? Let's explore. If you want more What If videos, check out our "Biggest What

Ifs" playlist on the channel. Now get ready, it's time to ask the question: What if the

Draugar were Real? First off, I'd just like to clarify the

issue of pluralization. The Draugar can be found in a number of mythologies, including

Old Norse, Danish, Swedish, and Norwegian. In each of these places, both the name and

the pluralized form vary. Since this video will be focusing on the Old Norse depiction

of the creatures, we'll follow the Old Norse terms. That is to say, when I say "Draugr",

it's singular, and when I say Draugar, it's plural. Now let's hop in. The Draugar are

undead creatures, believed to be reanimated corpses of those who died. Those who die after

living a dishonest and immoral life are believed to be brought back as Draugar. They often

return to live similarly greedy and selfish half-lives, either guarding a barrow containing

their treasure, or exacting vengeance on the living. They were often described as very

dark black, or else as pale as a corpse. This was a rather interesting take on the

idea of punishment after death. Rather than being sent to hell or some place of suffering,

those who had acted poorly would be forced to return in a half-alive, gruesome state.

This results in a good deal of jealousy towards the living, which often causes them to lash

out and attack. In the mythology, Draugar have superhuman strength and can increase

their size at will to further increase their fortitude. They look and smell disgusting,

which isn't surprising considering they're decaying corpses. They also seem to retain

some amount of intelligence from their previous life, as well as some memories from life,

which they use to protect their treasure, and attack those who had wronged them. Some

even believe that those killed by a draugr are often linked to it, and forced to fight

for it as a spectral slave. So, now we know what they are. But what would

happen if the Draugar were real? Well, first and foremost, it would significantly change

how we deal with the dead. A single Draugr, if it increased its size, could do huge amounts

of damage. Historically, it was believed that there were ways to prevent a corpse from becoming

a draugr. It may sound strange, but apparently draugrism can be avoided by placing a pair

of open iron scissors on the chest of the recently deceased. It can also be helpful

to hide straws and twigs among their clothes, and drive needles through their feet to keep

them from walking. This is something that would need to be spread across the world.

This would be an easy task in the developed world, with social media, but it could spell

disaster for less developed countries. If people didn't learn fast enough, whole countries

could soon be overrun by draugar. If the problem got bad enough, it could require the use of

heavy explosives or even nuclear weapons in order to assure that they would not come back

to life. Or rather, unlife. If that's a thing.

We would also, of course, need to know how to deal with a draugr if we encountered one.

Of course, for most people, the instructions would be to just run away immediately. This

is because most people would have no chance against a draugr. However, for those who were

capable, there are things to know. Luckily, you wouldn't need any special weapons, since

Draugar can be injured with plain iron. However, in order to kill them for good, it's said

that one must cut off their head, burn the body, and throw the ashes into the sea. Of

course, if draugar were relatively common, it would be important for everyone to know

how to defend themselves in case they were in a pinch. Those unable to fight would also

need to know the procedure, so that they could help to burn and dispose of the body.

Sadly, there wouldn't be a Dragonborn or Greek Demigod to save us, so we would depend

on human soldiers to deal with these creatures.Governments around the world would employ Draugr hunters,

specialized agents trained to locate and dispatch Draugr. It's likely that groups going out

in the wilderness, like hunters or even film crews, would hire private Draugr Hunters in

case the undead decided to pay them a visit. They would likely rely largely on traps and

ranged weapons to immobilize any Draugr they see, and then finish the job once they have

been neutralized. Of course, as terrifying as they would be, it wouldn't be long before

someone tried to harness the power of the Draugar. It's possible that certain groups

and individuals would attempt to create and tame draugar in hopes of commanding their

own undead army. This would, of course, largely depend on the intelligence of the draugar,

but given their love of killing the living, it's likely that they would happily join

any army that would let them kill as many people as possible. This kind of thing would,

of course, be vilified in the civilized world, but it's possible that mentally unstable

individuals, organized crime families, and even certain governments might use this tactic.

This would be particularly powerful, not to mention barbaric, if death by a draugr resulted

in the victim becoming its spectral slave. If this was the case, it would make people

even more afraid of the creatures. Not only would an encounter with a Draugr likely result

in your death, but you could well be forced into eternal servitude under your killer.

The White Walkers make good use of this tactic in Game of Thrones, bolstering their ranks

with their slain enemies, and this would be very useful if you had an army of Draugar.

And now we return to our question: What if the Draugar were Real? Well, this would change

the way we treat the dead. Religious ceremonies would likely go into disuse, with most people

being cremated to stop them from rising as a Draugr. While everyone would need to understand

how to deal with a Draugr, it would mostly be the domain of professional Draugr hunters,

who would work both with the government and with private citizens. While this would likely

be an effective way at keeping them down, there's a chance that certain groups would

attempt to create and control an army of Draugar, which could pose a significant threat to the

world as we know it. George R. R. Martin tried to warn us, but we just didn't listen.

Thank you for watching Life's Biggest Questions, I hope this was interesting and informative,

and maybe even inspired you to look into it further on your own. If you liked this video,

please thumbs up and subscribe to the channel down below. While you're down there, let

me know what YOU would do if you ran into a draugr one night. Until next time, I'm

Ron McKenzie-Lefurgey with Life's Biggest Questions, wishing you the best of luck, on

NEW Nars Cosmetics Orgasm Collection Review & Swatches with Roxette Arisa | This Week in Beauty 6/26 - Duration: 5:58.

[Up-Tempo Piano Music] - Oh, my god!

Hey guys, I'm Roxette Arisa and you're watching

This Week in Beauty with Ipsy.

So, today we have an exciting new launch:

It is back, and better than ever,

with a whole collection.

Nars Orgasm Blush is honestly one

of the most sought-after products in beauty,

in the beauty community, in the beauty industry,

everybody knows it, everybody loves it.

And it honestly has been since it launched in 1999.

So, almost 20 years ago.

Wow, that's pretty crazy.

It's a shimmering gold pink shade.

I'm sure you guys have seen it

and loved it because it is so beautiful

and it really does flatter a variety of skin tones.

And now there's an entire collection

that you guys are going to love

if you love the original Nars product.

There's a lip balm in here, there's a lip lacquer,

there's also an illuminating blush

and a supersized OG Nars Blush product.

So, let's definitely dive in

and take a look at all these individuals.

First off, we have the lip balm.

This is the Nars Orgasm Afterglow Lip Balm.

This is something that I throw in my purse,

I keep it with me at all times

because it really does pack a lot of hydration.

It gives you a subtle, sheer color to your lips

and it just gives you like,

a little bit of glow, a little bit of rosiness,

but it really is nice and hydrating

because it does have monoi oil in it

and also antioxidant ingredients

that helps to protect your lips.

So, this is a great, everyday lip balm

that's gonna give you a little bit of rosy color to it.

And I love this packaging.

Isn't it so beautiful?

Next up: there's the lip lacquer.

So this is the Nars Orgasm Full Vinyl Lip Lacquer.

This is actually what I'm wearing on my lips right now

but I wore it as a lip topper and you can wear it

on its own or as a lip topper.

It really is versatile and depending on your skin tone,

you can kinda play around to see

what will work best for you.

But this guy is vividly pigmented.

It has a really nice, you know,

peachy, golden pink-y tone,

just like the original OG Nars Orgasm Blush.

And it does have a very creamy and saturated color to it.

It also has some moisturizing ingredients

in here like Vitamin E so again,

you're putting good stuff on your lips

and it's never going to be sticky.

So, another great addition to your makeup collection.

This one.

This one is one of my favorites.

So, this is the Nars Orgasm Illuminating Loose Powder Blush.

So, this is actually I would say, kind of like a mixture

between a blush and a highlighter

because it has the most gorgeous golden pigment

running through it.

It's a loose powder like I said.

So what I do is I put a little bit into the top,

swirl it around with my blush brush,

and sweep it onto the cheeks

and also sweep it backwards towards the temple,

and when you do that, it just gives you the most

beautiful golden glow because those loose pigments of gold

that are running through this product,

it just gives you a shine, you know?

That's what I'm saying.

It's kinda like a highlighter and a blush in one.

It's beautiful and it does have subtle hints

of that iconic Orgasm shade and it just

reflects off the skin to give you that all-over glow.

You can also use this on your body,

on your décolleté if you want an all-over glow,

but it has definitely been one of my favorites

to use as a blush, a blush-topper,

and also a little bit like a highlighter.

And, of course, they had to release

a supersize Orgasm Blush,

this is the value size because it's huge.

And this is the original, OG blush shade.

If you haven't seen it, let me swatch it for you guys,

because I don't know, maybe you guys hadn't seen it before,

but it just has the most beautiful tone to it.

That is why it's so beloved inside

the makeup and beauty community.

It really does have a great formula:

blendable, creamy, pigmented.

It's got all you need in one.

And if you do love Nars,

if you're a Nars Orgasm addict,

there's also a couple other products

that I wanted to tell you guys about.

So starting off, I mean obviously

another blush, this is the Nars Blush in Super Orgasm.

So this has a little more intensity to it

because it has that more intense vibe

and when you put it onto your cheeks,

it does have a little bit more

of the gold flecks running through it.

You can see in the product itself.

And it's just a little bit more oomph.

You know, if you want a little bit more oomph,

if you love your original Orgasm

and you just wanna go, take it a step higher,

this is the perfect blush for you.

Then we have the Multiple, which is something

that I feel like if you love minimal makeup,

if you love products that are dual use,

you are going to love this.

So, like I said, it's called the Multiple.

It's actually a cheek and lip tint.

So you can use this as a cheek color,

like a cream cheek color that you can dab on

with your fingertips and blend out

and it's gonna give you that nice rosy glow,

but it looks very natural because it is a cream product.

Or, you can also use this as a little lip tint.

So, really, really pretty product.

I feel like this is so perfect for summer

because it's all about that minimal makeup

like no-makeup makeup sort of look.

And lastly, there's also a lipstick.

So this is the Nars lipstick in Orgasm.

It has a satin finish and it's super duper gorgeous.

It has that beloved Nars shade that we all know and love

and it has some gold running through it as well

so it matches the blush perfectly.

I feel like this would be so pretty

for like, a monochromatic look

when you know, you want your blush,

your eye shadow and your lips to all match,

I think it's super duper pretty

and honestly, the whole collection just

it has me feeling some type of way.

Let's put it that way.

And today, we have a giveaway for you guys, of course.

So, we're giving away the supersize version

of the OG Nars Orgasm Blush

and all you have to do to enter to win

is comment down below what you would name

your own makeup collection if you had one.

I feel like this is such a fun question.

It's such a fun giveaway question.

I feel like if I had my own makeup line,

I would name it the Shooting Star collection

for all my rockstars out there.

So, let us know in the comment section

and you'll be entered to win

the supersize, limited edition Nars Orgasm blush.

I'm Roxette Arisa and thank you for watching

This Week in Beauty with Ipsy.

HOW TO BECOME A TATTOO ARTIST? - Duration: 7:16.

Hey there! What's up?

Today we'll talk about tattoos!!!

Today I brought my dear friend Dane Suave (Dane Smooth)

"Smooth sailing with Dane Smooth.."

Have your followers ever talked to you like that?

No, because they are…

Creatives!

Yep, That's what I wanted to say...

"Tatoober", Artist, Youtuber, Digital Influencer..

Wow, so many things! I didn't know that!

She does everything..

I do everything!

We studied together, she studied Fine Arts and I studied media

We also studied body percussion together (Barbatuques course)

That what you've done there!

so?…thanks!

How was the transition from Beauty Arts to the world of Body Art?

It was a bit hard because I haven't thought about being a tattoo artist

When I started the Arts University I wanted to study animation

I wanted to work for Pixar, you know…

But it's so annoying because you have to repeat so many sketches and work in the same thing for long time

Anyway I didn't quit the University, but then I didn't know what to do in my life

I started a relationship by the end of my studies and my boyfriend had just gotten a tattoo on his chest

He told me: "This tattoo's world is pretty cool, let's know more about it"

So we went to a tattoo convention, then when I saw that I said:

"Goddamn! It's awesome!"

I fell in love when I saw those realisms then he asked me:

"Why don't we buy a tattoo kit for you?"

And I said: "Are you Nuts?"

He said: "Come on, you can tattoo me and I don't spend a bunch of money..

"Today's tattoo is BoJack Horseman"

He'd be your guinea pig

Yeah, but he trusted me so much and he said:

"Dude, you always drew, so you won't make such a shitty tattoo on me"

..but it doesn't work exactly like that…hahaha

My brother had a friend who was a tattoo artist and I asked him:

"Hey, how do you do it?"

So he saw my draws and explained me how I should do it

Then "I was hitting my head" and learning it!

Tattoo is something really popular nowadays, but It's a needle which pierces your skin, isn't it?

This is a painting needle, it's not so aggressive as a lining needle, There are 7 needles here.

That's the length which goes inside the skin…

It's just a grated, you don't really feel the needle going inside your skin, oh my gosh..

How deep the needle goes and where the ink goes?

It stays in the second skin layer, but when they go to the third layer…

The third layer is unstable due to the fat, then when the ink goes there it blobs and spreads

It also hurts the skin, that's why it become keloid scar, those high scars

So if the tattoo Artist put too much pressure on the tattoo…?

It can be a shitty tattoo because of that

What are your influences ? Who are the tattoo artists that inspire you?

Teresa Sharpe does huge tattoos, the whole back till the butt, like oriental style.

It's similar to oriental, but she doesn't do oriental tattoos

Nick Baxter does surreal tattoos, things coming out from your skin and they're hyper realists

Depending on the angle that you look at the tattoo you really believe those things are real.

It's freaking awesome!

The third one has an instagram profile called @matitude and he makes more old school tattoos.

I love his work and he is a reference for me.

What you've gotta do to become a tattoo artist? Because you work with people's health somehow

There are a lot of biosafety courses and workshops that you can do

so then you can structure your profession as a tattoo artist

You start "burning your brain" by tattooing pig skin, EVA, yourself, only then you'll tattoo somebody else

Do people start tattooing themselves?

Yes, I have a diamond on my ankle which I started tattooing it without ink

What? You just sticked yourself?

Yep, It's basically that!

It's like a tattoo of a scar

Seriously!? OMG! So painful!

Nooo, it goes away. It heals and disappears

I think it's the best way to don't make a shitty tattoo on yourself.

I have no tattoos. How many tattoos do you have?

About 20, I guess

The last one it was made by you right?

Oh yeah, I tattooed my thigh

So how is to tattoo yourself?

It's crazy, I thought I'd suffer a lot more

Because I have my position, neck and spine basically, then I have my skin which is gonna be in pain

Then I have my endurance...

Endurance is the tolerance of your body,

it's like when you have to take a blood sample and you faint

Yep, you can't control it

Many things that I didn't know how to deal and the tattoo should be a nice work as well

So since I live in this tattoo universe I managed it well

"At the least I loved the shading"

Are there kinds of inks for every kind of skin tones? How does it work?

No, All inks are the same, independent of the skin tones.

The artist will have to deal with different kinds of skin tones and choose a draw with open lines.

For example, if I draw a snake I can't close it with a lot of scales, shades and paints

Because when it heals on the dark skin it can't be visualised properly due to the skin tone.

But there's no special ink like neon or white

So I heard a big bullshit, because someone told me the white ink is the ideal to tattoo dark skin

No, white ink doesn't stick in anybody's skin

White color and bright tones go back to the tone of the skin

If you don't have the contrast with another color it disappears

Enlightening!!!
