Waching daily Dec 27 2017

Hi everyone, I cannot believe that this is the end of the year already and a new year

filled with our hopes and dreams is just a few days away.

This setup is a very special one because it's a collaboration with Christina from mylifinabullet.

If you've been binging on amazing bullet journal videos, then there is no way you missed

her, she is beyond talented and has such a wonderful personality.

I am so happy that I was able to work and share so much laughter with her!

For this set-up we decided to pick the same theme and then use our creative freedom to

interpret that theme any way we like.

Our theme is called winter lights, so think along the lines of string lights, moon, stars,

and candles, and anything else we want to add to that as long as it feels like the theme.

I am so excited to see what she came up with, we haven't revealed with each other before

these videos went live, so definitely check out her setup and give her some love along

with me!

I have all the links you'll need in the description below!

As I was planning out my theme I started to fall in love with the moon and stars and the

meaning behind them.

And since January is a new beginning when we dream and make wishes to achieve all of

our hopes and aspirations, I wanted to make this setup simply magical, even more so than

any of my other setups.

So I am starting with this illustration of a polar bear and his friend the bunny sitting

on the moon, and quietly sending their wishes to the stars.

I originally wanted this to be a muted dark blue, with some black shadows for the winter

sky, but it ended up being variations of black instead, and it was a little scary seeing

so much of it, but as I kept working on it, it started to look okay.

Once I have the painting part complete, I am finishing with a few white speckles for

the stars.

And then once all the paint is dry, I am going back in with my micron, gelly roll white and

gold gel pens.

This the the first time I am using these pens and I love them, but they don't work very

well on textured surfaces like this painting so it keeps skipping.

I originally wanted this as my cover page with the month January underneath the moon

in white, but with the pen skipping, I am not even going to attempt it.

Instead, I am keeping this as just another page in the journal, as an illustration to

depict the story of january.

And then in the actual journal setup, I am redrawing this illustration as the cover page

with my micron and adding in gold details.

Okay, you guys are going to laugh at this part, as I was adding in the gold, my hand

smudged the ink because it takes a little longer to dry, so I just went ahead and smudged

some other spots to balance it out.

And it looks pretty good for what started as a mistake.

I'll have the watercolor painting and my cover page in my shop if your are interested!

You can find my etsy link down below.

Moving on to the next page, this is where the illustration is going to be, and then

next to that is the mood of the month, this is the month of dreams, for a fresh start

and a successful year, and then underneath that is such a great quote by one of our greats,

Harriet Tubman.

She says: Every great dream begins with a dreamer.

Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for

the stars to change the world.

Next we have our table of contents similar to my other set-ups.

On the left I am inking in snowy mountains and the northern lights.

Then on the right, I decided to add in the phases of the moon and each section and description next to that.

On top of the sections, is another great quote, this one by Albert Einstein, he says: Imagination

is more important than knowledge.

For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces

the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.

I thought it was perfect for this month, as a reminder to dream beyond what I think I

am capable of and beyond what others are doing.

To take this beginning opportunity to promise myself to work hard and try my best.

Now we have my three month calendar spread with the title on the left, glance ahead,

and then the current and next two months on the right.

I have the string of lights and stars up top tying the entire layout together and then

again with a mountain range along the bottom to set the scene.

This layout works so well for me because I love being able to plan ahead and have an

idea of the dates while I am planning.

Moving on to my monthly spread, the layout is pretty much the same as the very first

one I did.

Up top, I have the title and then more northern lights and stars as decoration.

And then once I finish inking in my calendar, I am adding in kraft paper and writing out

my goals for this month with the white gelly roll.

My goals are to build my website, which I haven't because I need to build a collection

of illustrations first, exercise 5 days a week, build my collection, finish my preliminary

spreads for my book and then to basically have more faith in others.

Next are my drawing and fitness trackers or challenge.

These are very simple, just 31 boxes.

On the days that I complete a drawing of any kind and days where I exercise or am eating

well, I can fill in the boxes any way I like.

I have images of the moon and stars throughout these two pages to tie it back in with the

rest of the layout, again and then on the right is my page of milestones.

I introduced this in my very first set-up and I am bringing it back for this one, with

the same two bunnies, but this time they are quietly making a wish to the stars.

So if I hit a milestone or achieve any goal, small or large, I can just write them here.

And this way, I can look back and remind myself that I am moving forward or learning.

And now finally I have my weekly setup.

I decided to change this one because it was getting harder and harder to keep my to do

list short enough to fit in a box.

So now, I am just going to ink the title page and leave 6 pages blank.

As I go through the weeks, I'll just write out my lists and design the spread then, which

gives me a little more flexibility with how I want to set up each week.

For the image I wanted to continue the bunny and bear journey, so here they are larger

than life, in charge of placing the stars in the sky.

And then underneath my title, I have a quote that I made up that says:

build your sky one star at a time.

I have to admit, this is hands down, my favorite spread so far.

I love the simplicity of the lines and layouts and just the way everything turned out.

I definitely want to work on my calligraphy and loosen up a bit when I write but so far,

so good.

After I finished my weekly spread, I decided to add in a page of the moon phases and their

meaning.

I read this while I was working on my spread and this is the reason why I fell in love

with the moon and its symbolic meaning.

I reinterpreted it for my journal so that it works with the theme, so this is not an

original of mine and I do not want to take for credit for it.

You can find original in the links below.

I hope that you reach all of the goals you set for 2018 and I wish you well on your journeys.

Have a happy end of year and a wonderful and fulfilling new year!

Remember to check out Cristina's Video and send her a lot of love from me!

Thank you so much for watching, keeping upwith me on instagram, and your constant loving comments.

I'll see you next time, bye!

I've put it right here!

Tarık?

What happened? Where's this coat?

It was here, I swear! Now I can't find it.

Maybe it's in the baby's room, you may have forgotten there.

No, I'm sure. It was here.

In fact, it was on top of this one.

Should be around here. Let me take one more look.

There it is, look! You must have put it there.

How could I miss that there!

I took it, just to show to you, then I forgot. I've been forgetful lately.

WATER - 5 Common English Idioms | Learn English With Anna English - Duration: 3:31.

Hi guys welcome to another English lesson with me Anna English here on

English Like a Native. As you can see I'm not in the normal setting, in fact I'm

here in Marsa Alam, Egypt and as I'm by the Red Sea I thought I would give you

five water-based idioms / phrases that we use in the UK.

Number one - a fish out of water.

If you're a fish out of water it basically means you're in a situation

where you do not feel comfortable. Imagine a fish jumping out of the water

the fish would not survive for very long because it's not equipped to be out of

the water so if you are a fish out of water then you are not comfortable or

confident in your environment.

Number two - water off a duck's back.

Water off a duck's back basically means that it doesn't bother you. Imagine if you

pour water onto a lady wearing her best outfit she would be very upset but if

you pour water onto a duck the duck would not mind at all.

It would ruffle its feathers and shake off the water but it would be perfectly

happy so if something doesn't bother you then you can say it is the water off a

duck's back it does not bother me.

Number three - smells fishy.

If something smells fishy we're not talking about the actual aroma we mean that something

doesn't seem right, so if someone's behaving in an unusual way you could say

"mmm something smells fishy, there's something fishy going on with

him" it means it's just not quite right.

Number four - to have a sinking feeling.

If you have a sinking feeling then it means that you are becoming more and more

aware that something bad has happened or that something bad is about to happen

it's having a feeling or a sense of doom on its way. You've got a sinking feeling

just like if you're in the ocean you're going down down down into the murky

depths of the ocean, to have a sinking feeling.

And number five is water under the bridge.

If something is water under Bridge then it means it has been forgotten

about, it's no longer something that bothers you or has any impact on your

daily life or how you feel. So if you and I have a fallout and at the time I'm

very upset about it but five years down the line I'm no longer concerned about

that argument and I'm not angry anymore or upset anymore, then I can say "oh that

argument, it's water under the bridge let's just be friends" so there you go

five water based phrases we have: fish out of water, water off a duck's back,

something smells fishy, to have a sinking feeling, and water under the bridge.

Guys if you know any other water-based phrases then please do put them in the

comments box below remember to give this video a LIKE, don't forget to SUBSCRIBE

take care and ... sounds like my boat's getting started. See you later! Bye!

How long should beginners train? Intermediate/Advanced? - Duration: 4:27.

Vadim please explain

and tell how long a duration

should be of each training in

calisthenics

It depends on the level of your preparation

If you you a beginner

your training should take from 45 minutes to an hour because your

training should be really

intensive because you're just starting

and you should maximally

shock your body

in as short time as possible. you

perform for example 10 exercises, each

exercise you perform exactly

for two minutes, after 10 exercises you have

two minutes of rest or one and a half minutes

of rest and such training you

perform lets say 3 times a week

As I said earlier it is for the beginners. for people

with an average level of preparation the training

should take from one and a half

hours to two hours

because with an average level of training

you already have more opportunities to

perform more complex

routines, more complex exercises and you already

have more energy to train

longer time because for people

that only begin to train -

training long time simply will not make any sense

because at First, you will not be able

secondly you can get injured

because your body will not be

prepared for such pressure and

Third, you must gradually approach

to increase time in your

training. for people with high

level of preparation the training can

take from 3 to 5 hours of time per day

routine you

have, for example sometimes in my case

my trainings takes about an hour

or 45 minutes, or an hour and a half or 5 or 6

hour, so that depends on the routine

you are doing. different kinds

of training and types of routines and

training duration

we will consider later when

we begin to explain you different exercises

show technique and give routines, that is

from that you will be able

to understand how long will

take one or another

training. and for beginners the

training that takes

less time, for example, less than

45 minutes could take a little more than an hour because

in training for example

with weight or in training with high

intensity your body may

require more time for

recovery and that is why

the training will take a little

more time but one hour training session for

beginners, one hour and a half to two hours for

intermediate and 3, from 3 to 5 hours

for advanced and this time does not include

cardio and stretching , this time

only includes your training. that is

if you want to do cardio for 40 minutes

warm-up for 20-30 minutes, that will

take about an hour, lets

take 40 minutes cardio and 20 minutes

warm up and you start, that is

in this case your training time

increases. if you want to

do cardio and warm up. warm up

must be included in

any case whether you do cardio or

not. warm up with do with

minimum

stretching elements should always be

included before

your workout to reduce

probability of injury,

to practically eliminate it

like this. good one, thanks a lot

for the answer

With the Stroke of a Pen, Trump Claims Victory in the Decades Lo - Duration: 6:13.

With the Stroke of a Pen, Trump Claims Victory in the Decades-Long

Battle Over Alaskan Oil

President Donald Trump signed tax reform legislation that also ends the battle over oil and gas

drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge that has divided lawmakers for decades.

Trump not only signed tax cuts into law on Friday, he also delivered Alaska lawmakers,

Republicans and conservative groups a major political win in a political battle thats

raged since the 1980s.

Its been an unnecessarily long and contentious battle, Tom Pyle, president of the free

market Institute for Energy Research, told The Daily Caller News Foundation. Its

a huge win for Alaskans. Its a huge win for Americans.

The Republican tax bill finally gives congressional authorization to open the 1.5 million acre

1002 area along Alaskas Arctic coastline to drilling.

The so-called coastal plain is just 8 percent of ANWRs total area, but environmentalists

and Democrats have fought tooth and nail to keep it off limits to drilling.

Pyle, who headed Trumps Energy Department transition team, said the historic decision

will finally allow companies to do modern assessments of ANWRs oil and gas resources.

The last survey was conducted in 1998, estimating ANWR held as much as 10 billion barrels of

oil.

Weve come close a few times, but until now we never got over the finish line,

Pyle said.

Previously, Republicans had never gotten approval to open ANWR out of Congress. In 2005, Senate

Republicans got ANWR language in the 2006 budget bill, but it was stripped out by House

Democrats.

Alaska lawmakers from both parties have long pushed to ANWRs coastal plain area for

drilling. Theyve faced stiff resistance from environmental groups and most Democrats

who worry drilling could harm caribou and exacerbate global warming.

Now, with majorities in both chambers, Alaska Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski pushed through

a reconciliation bill to raise $1 billion over 10 years through opening the 1002 area

to oil and gas drilling.

A 2012 Congressional Budget Office report projected that opening the 1002 area to drilling

would generate $5 billion in revenue over 10 years. Oil prices have come down since

then, so in reality, revenues may not end up being that high.

Environmentalists still plan on doing everything possible to keep oil and gas exploration out

of ANWR, including suing the Interior Department to throw up hurdles to future lease sales

in the area.

Opening the door for oil companies to drill in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge will

devastate Alaskas wildlife and push us farther down the road of climate disaster,

Brett Hartl, government affairs director for the Center for Biological Diversity, said

in a statement.

RELATED: Following UN Vote Against Trump, Pope Francis Used His Christmas Message to

Address Israel and Palestine

And doing it to fund tax cuts for billionaires is a sick joke, Hartl said.

The League of Conservation Voters made a last-ditch attempt to rally support against the ANWR

provision, arguing the provision would do irreparable damage to one of Americas

most magnificent and wildest landscapes.

ANWR is the countrys largest wildlife refuge, spanning more than 19 million acres in northeastern

Alaska. Few people live there and few ever travel to the region, which environmentalists

say is a delicate ecosystem worthy of protection.

President Dwight Eisenhower first protected the area in 1960 at the urging of environmentalists,

and the area became a wildlife refuge in 1980 under legislation signed by President Jimmy

Carter. That 1980 law also set aside the 1002 area specifically for potential oil and gas

development.

Its been a political battle ever since.

Oil and gas companies say theyd only need a 2,000-acre space in the 1002 area for drilling

operations that footprint could be even smaller due to technological advances.

Environmentalists argued for years caribou, polar bears and other animals could be harmed

by drilling operations despite decades of drilling in nearby Prudhoe Bay not degrading

the environment.

Now, ANWR opponents have adopted a new set of talking points, claiming that we shouldnt

drill in ANWR because the price of oil is too low, Will Yeatman, a senior fellow

at the free market Competitive Enterprise Institute, said in an emailed statement.

This suggests that if the price was right, they would support drilling, Yeatman said.

Out of the other side of their mouths, environmentalists claim that any drilling

is unacceptable, because it would contribute to supposedly catastrophic climate change.

By stark contrast to the reasoning of ANWR opposition, drilling is supported overwhelmingly

by citizens of the state 78 percent in fact, as well as by the governor, state legislature

and the entire congressional delegation, Yeatman said.

The FBI Just Hits Bernie Sanders With Very Bad News, You'll Cheer. - Duration: 3:20.

The FBI Just Hits Bernie Sanders With Very Bad News, You'll Cheer.

Senator Bernie Sanders' 2016 campaign for the presidency was something of an irregularity.

Here we had an elderly, bad-to-the-bone communist pressing in the recent college grads at his

primary campaign rallies.

The inquiry "why" was properly inquired.

It is safe to say that we are to infer that those in their twenties are confirmed leftists?

Maybe they observed Hillary to be as loathsome of a candidate as those on the right, and

just couldn't force themselves to help any of the Republicans.

Whatever the case, he was a persistent issue for Hillary.

Plainly she needed to move to one side politically amid the primaries to keep from losing more

votes to Bernie.

This made her less alluring to the political focus, something Donald Trump put to great

use in the general election.

Indeed, even Hillary's plot with then Chair of the DNC Schultz to derail Bernie backfired.

In any case, Bernie has an issue.

As a matter of fact, it's his wife, Jane, who has the issue.

She was president of Vermont's Burlington College in 2010.

She leads a real estate to expand the land owned by the school.

She secured a bank advance and some subsidizing from the Catholic parish that claimed the

property.

After a year she was out of a vocation over cases that she misdirected the bank to get

the credit.

Furthermore, the FBI is as yet examining the issue.

The Daily Caller Reported:

"The investigation surrounds a real estate transaction that Sanders initiated while she

was president of Vermont's Burlington College in 2010.

Sanders wanted to buy about 33 acres from a neighboring Roman Catholic parish in order

to augment the college's space.

"ACCORDINGLY, SHE OBTAINED A LOAN OF $6.7 MILLION FROM A BANK AND ANOTHER $3.6 MILLION

FROM THE PARISH THAT OWNED THE PROPERTY.

ONE YEAR LATER, SANDERS RESIGNED THE COLLEGE PRESIDENCY AFTER BEING ACCUSED OF DECEIVING

THE BANK ABOUT THE SUCCESS OF HER FUNDRAISING EFFORTS TO RAISE MONEY FOR THE PROJECT."

It appears to be odd that this examination is still in advance seven years after the

alleged offense happened.

Be that as it may, if the FBI is thinking about assembling a stupendous jury, it sounds

like the authority is not kidding about this case.

"Former Burlington College Board Chairman Yves Bradley also confirmed with Fox News

that the FBI was continuing to investigate, asking Bradley several questions about Sanders

and the bank controversy.

"Sanders attorney Rich Cassidy asked Bradley about the FBI investigation, but Bradley opted

not to respond.

Cassidy has not responded to Fox News' requests for an interview.

"Neither Bernie Sanders's spokesman nor stepdaughter Carina Driscoll would speak to

Fox News about these latest developments."

It's not been a decent couple of years for the Sanders couple.

Bernie was the victim of some fairly devious battle methods by Hillary.

What's more, now his better half may be headed to jail.

You don't need to be a liberal to be assaulted by Hillary, nor to be blamed for bank extortion.

It just makes your life all that more hopeless.

What do you think about this?

Vlogg - Leaving paintings at Trendrummet, Sweden - Duration: 11:07.

Hello!

Now, I thought it would be time for a little Vlog

Who does not want to see what I do during the days?!

It is not very exciting, but

but it is a bit fun,

I will go to a shop located a few hours drive from here

and I'll leave a couple of paintings! Or, one painting at least.

And some business cards...

It is an interior design shop

in a city called Gällstad

it's so nice, and it will be the first store to bring in my paintings!

It will be great fun I think

I'll just get dressed a little, brushing teeth and stuff and then I

will go there

But I need to obviously get

myself one of those Selfie sticks

that I can hold, so avoid this ...

Yes, GPS is on

it says I have about a little over an hour left

until I have arrived at this store

I've never been there before actually

so it will be fun

to visit, her photos on instagram looks great

There is a girl who sells Annie Sloan's Chalk paint

(Annie Sloan's Paint)

it will be great to see how she is there

and uh ... Gällstad is the name of the place

near Warehouse 157,

which is a huge

shop where you can find

cheap designer clothing ...

Ehm ...

I've been there once

When I was little, I ... hehe

I actually worked for a woman in her store

as a favor for her to teach me how to tattoo in Gällstad once

it was ages ago

I think there certainly was a

yes .. it might have been ...

uh ... yeah

I'd bet on, maybe 13 ...

So it was a while ago

And it was, unfortunately, running out in sand, that apprenticeship place

Partly because of school

I had too much studies simply

so it

never happened

Yes ... it's not so damn fun ... oops.

It's not VERY fun

road tripping on my own, but

I may well make the best of it, I think

I'll see how much I get lost

it is high way almost all the way, so I think

it's not possible to make that many wrong turns

But with me - you never know with me

I do so very strange things when I drive

so that I...

Or in general actually, I do

so a lot of strange things in general!

So yes, we'll see how this ends

simply...

It's 2 degrees outside

the car is definitely warmer than that I can say

I have turned up to 28 degrees here in the car, plus

of those ass-heat

Plus but heat

of those loop in the seat which heats the hedge

Soon it will smell like bacon in here, I guess

Yes, and it's so damn typical

I go into Borås city here

and what happens?

It starts to rain!

Snowy rain

Whenever you go to Boras!

Always, always, always!

Boras feels like a little miniature version of London

It always rains.

It does not matter, it can be

37 degrees and sun home in

Gothenburg, but then you come to Boras -

rain!

In about one 10 km I'll turn to the right of the highway

it is just a right turn and it feels as I should be able to cope with it

Yes, that now I stand here in Vegby

a place very, very far away from home

and I actually remember this,

it's a bit funny, because when I was little

or - younger

it must also have been like

15 years...

I remember I had just pierced my belly

so I was a little hurt, but we were on a damn

festival here somewhere

They had put up a lot of hot dog stand and dance floor and a lot of stuff

and yes, I had actually forgotten all about it

until I actually...

until I drove past here!

So it was fun, I was just going to say that!

I'll check what it was for the festival, it might still be there.

No clue!

But I remember, it is so far out of town

so you had to take a bus out here, it was how many buses

These buses were overfilled with young people

that was going to this festival

Yes, it was quite fun actually

But now I will soon be there, my GPS says it only will be 8 minutes left

before I have arrived at where I'm going

so I figured I should just walk Stella a little

and then I thought that I would

drive on and arrive sometime

Perfect,

I just got caught in one of those

speed camera ...

Crap.

Look, Theo!

Bip!

Bip!

Look, Theo!

Aunt!

No!

Look, Theo!

Look, Theo!

Look, Theo!

Theo!

Theo is a turd!

Yes!

Hey guys it's Trina and this is my end of year check-in with my reading goals

for the whole year of 2017. I had six goals that I've set for myself

this year and let's just run through those really quickly and see if I

completed them or not. Goal number one was to read more adult books and the

wording for most of these goals was "read more blank" and buy more I just mean more

in number than I did the previous year. So like if I read 20 of some type of

book in 2016 I wanted to read 21 at least this year you know to beat

whatever I was trying to beat. So read more adult books. I needed to read 22

adult novels to have read more than the previous year and I only read 18 but if

you look at statistically I read fewer books in total this year than I did in

2016 so the percentage is actually higher. Maybe this counts? I don't know.

You know, if you look at my percentage I did beat my percentage of adult books

read overall. I don't know if I want to count this because my percentage was

still at like 20 - 22 something percent overall were adult books and I would

like to have that at at least 25% so although maybe technically I did beat

this goal I'm still not really satisfied with where my numbers are so I'm just

gonna count it as not checked off. Goal number two was to read more ownvoices

books and I still sometimes get asked what is ownvoices? It means the

book has a main character that shares the same identity or marginalization as

the author which means that the author is writing from the place of experience.

So like if I black lesbian woman writes about a black lesbian character that is

ownvoices because she has the experience to hopefully put that in the

book and not really like misrepresent it. So I wanted to read at least 14 own

voices books this year to beat 2016's amount and I did beat that but then I

quit counting so I'm not exactly sure how many own voices books I read this

year it was several more than my goal of 14 so that is definitely a goal that I

met and beat. Goal three was to read more debut novels of

the year, this current year that are coming out. So an authors first work

that their first book came out in 2017. Last year in 2016 I read seven so this

year I wanted to read eight and I read exactly eight so I came in right like at

the wire at the last minute, finished my eighth book, and did complete this goal.

Goal four was I wanted to read around the world more and what I meant by this

was a very loosely defined thing. I did not have a goal to like hit books set in

every country or every continent or every region of the world, it was just my

goal to read more outside of the United States and European settings. A lot of

what I've been reading are from those two locations and I just wanted to

branch out more and I did do that. I didn't do it

a ton, it's still something that I could work on but I do consider this one to

have been met. My fifth goal was to read more books that my friends are either

recommending to me personally or that they just love and they talk about all

the time. I just wanted to be more mindful of what things my friends are

interested in and pick those books up and so my goal of more for this goal was

just to read at least three books so you know I had a very low bar to meet and I

definitely did beat that. This is another goal that I quit counting and I know

that it was in the double digits. I definitely read several books that

people recommended to me. Some of them I didn't like so much, some of them I

really really loved so this was really interesting to like know what my friends

are actually talking about because now I've read these books that they love. And

my last reading goal for 2017 was to read all of the books that I owned at

the start of the year. Like all the books on my physical TBR shelf and I had a

total of 12 owned unread books so this year I wanted to read all 12 of those

books. That did not happen. 12 is such a small number you would think that one

a month, it's no big deal, but this is what my statistics were: Out of the 12

I read three of the books that I own and had not read, but I actually got rid of

another five of those books. I either tried them and DNFed them or decided to

unhaul them because I'm no longer interested. So

out of the 12 books I had, eight of them are no longer on my physical TBR shelf

so my TBR has gone from 12 to 4 that are still on my shelves from the start of

the year that I haven't read. So those were all of the reading goals that I had

set for myself, like specific things I wanted to accomplish this year, but if

you guys remember my mid-year check-in I also did this thing where I really just

enjoy keeping lists of all of the books that I have put on my TBR videos

throughout the course of the year, or said these are the new releases I really

want to read, or the books that I have brought into my collection in book hauls

and so I'm gonna check in with those things as well because that is something

that I really have enjoyed keeping track of ever since I've started my channel.

So if you're wanting to know, this year in my TBR videos, the things I said

I'm gonna read this this month, I put a total of 42 books on TBR's this year and

out of the 42 I read 38 of them and I either DNFed

or got rid of and just I'm no longer interested in two of those, which means

that by now at the end of the year out of the 42 total I read all but two of

the books that I told you guys I wanted to read. So my TBRs are a pretty

accurate indication of the things that I am reading and reviewing on my channel.

As for all of the new releases that I have mentioned throughout the year,

didn't do as well on this one. I mentioned 51 releases of 2017 that I was

really anticipating and very excited for and out of the 51 I only read 30 of those

books and 21 of them of course were unread. But looking back on this list, you

know, I read a little over half of the things I told you guys I was interested

in and so I still think this list was a pretty accurate representation of where

my interests lie but I can definitely see some books on this list where I

didn't read them and I'm no longer interested in them so I think that like

I just get really wrapped up in the hype or you know the buzz or the reviews

of the moment and it's not a real accurate representation of I'm actually

really gonna read these books. As for the books that I have hauled, I am only

counting books that I have physically added to my collection, to my shelves, not

library books because I don't own those and they can be gotten out of my house

at any time, they're not like cluttering me up or anything. So out of the books

that I have hauled this year in haul videos or unboxing videos I have added a

total of 55 books to my collection and out of the 55 I've read 23 of those, so

just under half. But I did unhaul thirteen of the books that were brought

into my home over this year for whatever reason. Some of the ones that I unhauled

were like unsolicited ARC copies that publishers just sent to me and I gave

them away, I got rid of them. I realized like okay well release day has already

happened, I you know never promised a review for these things, if I want to

read this book, even though I'm still interested in, it I'll just grab it from

the library at some point. So it's not that these books were bad or I just

totally have no interest in them. A couple of books I gifted to friends

because I knew that they were really really interested in them more than I

was. And then there are some books that were sent to me that I just wasn't

interested in so I did unhaul those. So that's kind of how that situation looks.

So I have a total of 19 books left over that I did not read that I still own

that I've been added to my physical unread TBR shelf. So added a total of 19

books to my collection this year that I need to read. That's all I have to check

in with. As for 2018 reading goals, I am not gonna do reading goals for myself

this year and the reason for that is because I'm about to have my first child

and I know that this year is going to be a huge adjustment, a huge life change is

taking place and I don't know how much time I'm going to be able to set aside

for reading like I currently do and I just want to have the space to learn

what my new reading habits are before I sit down and make a list of a bunch of

goals I need to be keeping up with. That's why there won't be 2018 reading

goals video going up. If I had to tell you what my goal is, it is just read. Let

me know if you guys did have any reading goals for 2017 and how you did on those

and I hope you guys enjoyed just this check in and look back at kind of how

I'm doing on my channel and like the things I tell you guys I'm gonna read,

am I actually reading them? Definitely want to get better about some of these

things, but thank you guys so much for watching and I will see you in the comments. Bye!

Why Use a Pig Bristle Shoeshine Brush? - Duration: 5:30.

Hi I'm Kirby Allison founder of

The Hanger Project,

and here at The Hanger Project we love to

help the well-dressed take care of their wardrobes.

In today's video I'm going to be talking to you

about the importance of a proper pig

bristle shoeshine brush.

Now everyone thinks of a horsehair shoeshine

brush which is the most commonly available

shoeshine brush you have out there,

but a pig bristle brush is a great

addition to anyone that's really committed

to taking the best care possible of their

shoes.

Now, pig bristle

and horsehair although they look the

same really couldn't be

any more different.

And the reason is because a proper

pig bristle brush has a much stiffer

bristle than horse hair.

For any type of material that has

more texture in it,

like this pigskin loafer

or a hatch grain

or any type of shoe

with a lot of broguing you really

can benefit from a stiffer bristle

that is going to do a better job getting

into the shoe itself.

And so that's why I like to have two types

of brushes in my shoeshine kit:

a set of horsehair shoe shine brushes

and a set of pig bristle shoeshine brushes.

Now our new Hanger Project 100%

Pig Bristle Brush is made from

the absolute highest quality pig

bristle that is available in the

world

and you can really see the difference in

the quality in this brush

by not only how densely

our brushes are pinned,

but also by the flexibility of

the pig bristle itself.

This pig bristle is cut to 30

millimeters which is the absolute longest

pig bristle that you can find anywhere.

And what that allows,

whenever you compare to like,

our original pig bristle brush,

is it allows a more flexible

bristle that is going to do

a better job really getting into

the leather and cleaning it without

being too stiff.

The problem with the pig bristle brush

with a really short cut length

is that honestly the bristle is too

stiff

and so although it might be good for scrubbing

or cleaning dirt off of a shoe

it's really not appropriate for polishing any

type of fine leather just because it's too

stiff for that.

And so that's why I'm really happy

with their new pig bristle brush.

Again with this super high quality pig bristle,

you're going to get really great flexibility.

It's a really beautiful brush pinned to

a really high density

and it's a great compliment again

to a horse hair brush.

So this is our 100 percent pig bristle brush

and this right here is 100 percent

horsehair brush.

Now horsehair brushes here at The Hanger Project

are really special also because

we're having all of our horsehair brushes

made with a 100 percent tail hair

versus the more common mixture

of tail and mane hair.

Now that's important because the mane hair

is more brittle,

it's less expensive,

so any horsehair brush that prone

to a lot of shedding is a brush

that's been pinned

with that combination.

Our horsehair brushes here at the Hanger Project,

you're not going to experience any shedding

from, again because it's pinned

from 100 percent tail hair.

So although you may not be able to see it in this

video,

the flexibility

and softness of this horsehair

brush is much softer

and much more flexible than

with this pig bristle even though

they're pinned to the same cut lengths.

So two brushes,

they look almost exactly

identical,

but they couldn't be any more different.

Now our Hanger Project 100% Pig

Bristle Brush is available

with two different bristle colors,

a dark bristle

and a light bristle.

Now the reason that that's important is to

help you keep separate which brush

you're going to use for your dark polishes

and which brush you use for your light polishes.

Now the reason that that's important is because every

shoeshine brush is going to accumulate

residual polish as you're buffing the

shoe

and so you want to keep your brushes separate

because you don't want to take a brush that you

just used to buff a black polish

and then use it to buff a polish

off of a lighter colored shoe.

Because what you could end up

with is the streaking of those dark

polishes onto that lighter colored

shoe.

So we absolutely recommend

two brushes: one for your dark polishes

say your black,

your dark browns,

a green or a navy.

And then one for your lighter color polishes

like your browns,

your chestnuts,

and any other lighter

color. Our new Hanger

Project Pig Bristle Brush is something that I'm really proud

of again in order to achieve

that 30 millimeter cut length,

we had to use the absolute highest

quality pig bristle that available

anywhere in the world.

And so I'm completely confident

that you'll be happy

with this brush.

If you have any questions about pig bristle brushes

or how they're different from horsehair brushes

or when they're appropriate to be used,

please feel free to ask those in the comments

I get back to all those questions personally.

US Congressman The FBI Tried to Stop Donald Trump from Becoming - Duration: 4:20.

US Congressman: The FBI Tried to

Stop Donald Trump from Becoming President

Speculation has run rampant for months that the FBI was working against a Donald Trump

presidency, and now a United States congressman has given credit to that theory and what it

would mean.

Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, told conservative radio host Todd Starnes he is convinced the

FBI was working against Trump during the 2016 presidential campaign.

The whole pretext is wrong.

Think about this, you had Im convinced now the FBI actively seeking with intent,

actively trying to stop Donald Trump from being president of the United States, Jordan

said on the Todd Starnes Show.

Jordan pointed to text messages written by investigator Peter Strzok that referred to

an insurance policy.

I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andys office that

theres no way he gets elected but Im afraid we cant take that risk.

Its like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before youre 40, Strzok

wrote.

The reference was meant to convey that the bureau needed to aggressively investigate

allegations of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, people familiar with

the situation told The Wall Street Journal.

Jordan was concerned the insurance policy might have included dressing up the infamous

Trump-Russia dossier, turning it into an intelligence document and using it to obtain warrants in

the FISA court that allowed them to spy on Americans.

In the same text messages, Strzok and FBI lawyer Lisa Page disparaged Trump, calling

him an idiot and loathsome human, showing their obvious bias against the then-candidate.

To make matters worse, Strzok was the lead agent on the FBI investigation into Hillary

Clintons use of a private email server during her time as secretary of state.

He was also the top investigator for special counsel Robert Mueller, who has been in charge

of looking into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Strzok was removed from that position after the problematic texts surfaced.

But lawmakers like Jordan have remained concerned over how his bias may have influenced his

role.

In fact, Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley wrote to the Justice Department about the issue, saying

Strzoks texts appeared to go beyond merely expressing a private political opinion.

They appear to cross the line into taking some official action to create an insurance

policy against a Trump presidency, Grassley wrote.

Jordan called the situation as wrong as it gets.

If that happened, and it sure looks like it did if that happened it is wrong as

it can possibly be in this great country for the FBI to actively be trying to make sure

one individual, one major partys nominee does not become the next president is as wrong

as it gets, Jordan told Starnes.

Hes right.

The FBI should never be involved in trying to sway the outcome of an election especially

the U.S. presidential election.

It certainly appears they crossed that line, however, and something must be done to ensure

theyre dealt with appropriately and that this never happens ever again.

FBI potentially trying to stop Trump from becoming president.
