DRMTS is the best study method designed by NEETlab for NEET aspirants.

DRMTS is an acronym which stands for Divide, Read, Map, Test and Summarize.

This method includes most of the study techniques advocated by neuroscientists and educational

psychologists.

This learning methodology is found to be very effective for preparing competitive examinations

like NEET or to become an expert in any domain.

DRMTS follows divide and read methodology in which the learning material is first divided

into multiple units and then an iterative process which comprises of steps reading,

memorizing, mapping, testing, teaching and summarizing happens for each unit.

It also includes an integration step which comprises of review and remapping that takes

place after completion of few units.

First step in this process is to divide the learning material into many topics.

You can simply use the chapters from the book, if you are using only book for study, but

if you are using multiple books, then you may have to come up with set of common topics

among all the books you plan to read for that particular subject.

Once you come up with topics, you have to repeat the steps reading, memorizing, mapping

and testing for each chapter.

After dividing the chapters, pick up the first chapter and start reading that chapter.

R in DRMTS not just refers to the process of reading but also refers to the process

of referring other books or online material when you encounter things which you were not

aware of, or when something is poorly explained in the book.

The effectiveness of this step depends upon the focus and attention.

When we are searching for information, many a times, we get lost because our focus shifts

from learning to browsing without our consciousness.

After reading, the next step is to map these learning into your memory.

This contains three sub steps, the first step is to identify information, which needs to

be memorized and information which needs to be understood.

For information which needs to be memorized, use reciting for simple ones and use tools

such as mnemonics for tough ones.

After memorization of concepts, the next substep is to create mind map or concept maps to identify

the relationship between the new concept you are learning and concepts that you have already

learned before.

This association helps you to understand the concept in much deeper level.

The effectiveness of this step depends upon the creativity or divergent mode of your thinking.

Divergent mode of thinking is just allowing your mind to flow its thoughts freely around

a topic.

After completing this step, you move to next step which is to teach to others.

If you don't find anyone to teach what you have learned don't simply skip this step

because this technique of studying to teach instead of studying to learn is found to be

the most effective technique for greater understanding.

If you cannot teach to anyone, put your phone in record mode and start teaching to your

phone.

When you listen to your recording, you will be able to pinpoint which area you lack understanding.

Brush up only those portions before proceeding to the next step.

After teaching, you move on for testing your learning and understanding.

You can do this by taking topic wise test.

You can also solve problems given at the end of the chapter if you are reading textbook.

After testing, you need to come up with one page summary of what you have learned in that

chapter.

Try to include as many images as possible when you come up with summary.

This completes the first iteration of learning the first chapter.

Then move on to the next chapter and repeat the steps reading, referring, memorizing,

mapping, teaching, testing, summarizing.

After you complete the second chapter, you need to perform integrated learning by performing

RM which refers to Review and Remapping.

You need to review the summary sheet of the first chapter and create an integrated map

which contains concepts of first chapter and second chapter.

The review process helps for memory retention and integrated map helps you to improve your

understanding.

It is not mandatory that you need to perform Review and Remapping after every chapter,

you can decide it based on the total number of chapters you have to learn.

Let's say you have 15 chapters, you can perform integrated learning step for every

3 chapters.

Though this learning method takes time, it is found to be very effective to learn for

competitive exams like NEET.

N. Korea laughs at UN sanctions firing off ballistic missile - Duration: 2:10.

North Korea's

latest action shows it won't even flinch at the latest UN sanctions.

According to our Connie Kim, Pyongyang seems determined to keep at it until mastering the

capability of firing off a nuclear weapon across the Pacific.

It's been only three days since the UN Security Council adopted its latest resolution on North

Korea,… but Pyongyang launched another ballistic missile further escalating tensions and crushing

hopes that the new UN sanctions could be effective in curbing the North's nuclear ambitions.

North Korea's goal has been clear: developing an intercontinental ballistic missile that

can carry a nuclear warhead.

And the general consensus among North Korea watchers is that Pyongyang will push ahead

with this goal regardless of international sanctions or warnings.

(Korean) "North Korea aims at achieving nuclear state

status in order to negotiate with the U.S. at the same level.

Last August the North's missile flew 2700 kilometers and today's missile flew 3700 kilometers.

It will continue to expand its missiles' capacities and pressure Washington."

An emergency UN Security Council will be convened at the UN headquarters in New York on Friday

afternoon local time,… but there are already voices of concern over the influence the UN

has to deter Pyongyang's provocations.

Officials at Seoul's foreign ministry declined to comment specifically about the response

measures the UN could roll out this time around.

(standup) "The UN General Assembly is also expected

to bring up North Korea during its 72nd session, and experts are calling for a definite solution

on the North Korea issue as diplomacy could no longer be relevant if the regime completes

its nuclear and ballistic missile programs.
