Do You Want to Sleep like a Superhero? - Duration: 5:01.

Shawn Stevenson is here today, number one health podcast in the world New York Times

bestselling author Sleep Smarter, really great to have you. Thank you. So on this video we're

talking about how to sleep like a superhero? Yes, yes. I'm excited to get into it. Yeah

you know a big part of this and you know especially with your audience, nobody's waking up in

the morning like you know what? I want to look terrible today, nobody's like I just

want to get a little fatter, and you know, everybody wants to look good, everybody wants

to feel good and little did we know that sleep is probably the biggest component larger than

your diet, larger than exercise combined. So number one and we just talked about it

recently but Appalachian State University do this study and I'll break this down a

little bit more here and so they took exercises and they have train at three specific times

throughout the study exclusively at 7:00 AM then they had them train exclusively at 1:00

PM in the afternoon then they had them train exclusively at 7:00 PM at night and at the

end of this study they found out that the morning exercisers spend more time in the

deepest most anabolic stages of sleep. So you could do, you take anything away from

this video, exercise period 7:00 AM will change your life. Yes, yes. So what would number

two be? Get more good sleep nutrients. So there are certain key nutrients that are precursors

to sleep related hormones and neurotransmitters so what I would do is give people precursors

tryptophan even 5HTP is supplemental but then there are natural things as well like Vitamin

C. Public Library of Science did a study they found that when people are deficient in Vitamin

C, those are the people who have tendency towards interrupted sleep so they're waking

up more often. So that's number two, what would number three be? Number three to give

yourself a screen curfew at night. Alright. So Harvard researchers confirmed that your

device specifically the blue light spectrum coming from your laptop, your television,

your smartphone suppresses melatonin and elevates cortisol to the degree that every hour you're

on your device, it suppresses melatonin for 30 minutes. You say you're on your device

and you're going to bed at ten, from 9:00 – 10:00 and then you go to bed at ten, melatonin

isn't even get secreted for an hour or I'm sorry for 30 minutes. Most people were you

know, on the TV or whatever it is, a lot more than at night and so if you're doing, if

you're not producing enough melatonin, you could be unconscious but you're not going

to get efficient sleep cycles even on the smartphone which I keep looking over at my

iPhone over talking to me, they now, this is a billion dollar, multi-billion dollar

company and all their iPhone, iPad, it's a tool called nightshift that automatically

pulls out the most troublesome spectrum of light from your phone but if your desktop

laptops and just everybody go download this today t's totally free its F.LUX. It's

called F dot L U X. just go to google type that in, couple of clicks and it'll be on

your device and it does the same thing automatically based on your time zone. Like that's one

of the easiest things you can do just switch it up, get F.LUX or I can even get on it.

Exactly. Like I go out to the garden and I'll meditate or take a cold bath, called thermogenesis

that's another powerful route. That's actually tip number four this is something

called, your body does this natural process called thermoregulation. When it gets dark

outside, this is a call from nature that it's time for us to shut down and we have a natural

drop in our core body temperature. That's normal and that facilitates the release of

sleep-related neurotransmitters and hormones but if you're running too hot and your environment

is too hot, it can be difficult for your body to produce those things. The sleep experts

collectively it says between 62 and 68 degrees Fahrenheit is ideal for sleep. So that's

number four. We're lucky number five is getting some sun exposure. When individuals

get sun exposure during the day, they actually have lower cortisol at night. Maybe even ten

minutes it can help lower your evening cortisol and we talked about cortisol being elevates

at night can be a problem and so this is one of the things that help them bring it down.

Get some exercise while getting sun exposure and really start your day off in a powerful

way. Cool! So those are the five steps, the five tips spoken from the expert of the book

Sleep Smarter absolutely incredible read. As I mentioned in our morning ritual, our

whole team read his book. You guys got to get it, check it out. We'll leave a link

below this video and follow the model health podcast, the number one health podcast. Absolutely

amazing and it's just, it's been a joy having you here as always remember we're

in this together.

Paroled Manson Family Murderer SHOULD Perish In Prison - Duration: 3:53.

After more than four decades behind bars, Charles Manson cult member Leslie Van Houten

has just granted parole.

It's now up to California Governor Jerry Brown to decide whether or not she should be released

back into society.

Van Houten went to prison in 1969 for the brutal, brutal murders of Leno and Rosemary

LaBianca, a Los Angeles grocer and his wife murdered by Manson and his followers during

a bloody killing spree that also included the massacre of pregnant actress Sharon Tate

and four others.

Van Houten wasn't part of the highly publicized Tate murders, but she was sentenced to life

for the brutal murder of all those other folks.

Joining me now for more on this is legal journalist for Trial Lawyer Magazine, Mollye Barrows.

Mollye I'm outraged the parole board would even give this woman a second chance.

This is a woman, that under the law, before the law changed, should have been executed.

She was on her way.

That absolutely should have been executed.

I have no sympathy for this woman, no sympathy for the Manson family whatsoever.

The idea of any of them getting out is just so deplorable to me.

What's your take?

Well I know, and a lot of people feel the same way you do.

In fact the parole board told Van Houten when she came up this last time to get her parole,

they said, 'We've received tens of thousands of letters from people who do not want you

back out on the street.'

But that didn't stop them.

They still said that she's met the legal requirements of making parole, so they granted it to her

this year, just like they granted it to her last year.

Last year Governor Jerry Brown of California stepped forward after reviewing the decision

and said, 'No.

I'm going to veto this.

She is not allowed back out.'

She went back up before the parole board again this year, it made her 21st time, and they

did grant it again.

Now she's got to go through that review process.

What there is, just so everybody understands, it's a checkbox that these parole boards go

through.

Sometimes you have such extraordinary circumstances that you have to say, you know what the checkbox

doesn't work anymore.

I personally am going to write Jerry Brown, and I hope everybody watching this show will

write Jerry Brown and not let this happen.

If you go back and read Helter Skelter, if you take a look at what this family of lunatics

did to so many people.

The idea of her walking the street, I don't care how old she is.

What is she 60-.

Eight.

68.

I don't care if she's 99, she needs to die in that prison.

These people did not get a second chance to be paroled that she murdered.

This particular ... And I, full disclosure-.

It's interesting though.

I come from a prosecutorial background.

It doesn't show, not at all.

What is your take?

Well it's interesting to me because there were two issues that jumped out when I was

looking this over.

One is what you said about if she's met the legal requirements for parole, despite the

circumstances that she's done that, the circumstances of the heinousness of her crime should play

in keeping her in prison.

I think a lot of people feel that way.

On the other side of that, for instance the Los Angeles Daily Times is getting, those

area papers are getting letters to the editors saying, 'Hey.

If you don't let her out, and she's modeled good behavior,' because that was one of

the reasons that the parole board said she should get out, she started numerous programs

that have helped other inmates.

She's been a model of good behavior, received her Bachelor and Master's degree in counseling.

I'm not saying bleeding heart, I'm saying other people are like, 'Hey.

She could be a model for other ... it would be a deterrent to other inmates if she was

denied.'

You know it sounds like she's doing a lot of great things in prison.

To make up for murdering people.

Keep her in prison.

Let her do those great things in prison, but putting her back out on the street is just

so deplorable.

The victim's family does not want her back out on the street.

They were there for the latest parole board hearing as well.

Go read Helter Skelter.

Read Helter Skelter and understand why I might feel like this, as an ex-prosecutor.

She did, like you said, she was going to get the death penalty, but then it was revoked.

They banned it in 1972, so she automatically got that life with the possibility of parole.

Thank you.

Arrows To Athens - The Silence [HD | Lyrics] - Duration: 4:32.

What is this

What is this that made us wonder who we are

Couldn't face what we had done

And so we covered up the scars

And now we hope

But our hope is buried underneath at night

Can't escape

And the silence holds us captive with this lie

And it all comes back to this

It was an ordinary moment

Tore the sky and cut us open

And now I cannot forgive or forget what we have done

The silence has become the end of us

We believed that keeping quiet was the only way to find

Innocence

To get us back to who we were before that night

And it all comes back to this

It was an ordinary moment

Tore the sky and cut us open

And now I cannot forgive or forget what we have done

The silence has become the end of us

Now pray for the day

When the truth will make us pay for this

Do you believe that the silence can erase the memory

And it all comes back to this

It was an ordinary moment

Tore the sky and cut us open

And now I cannot forgive or forget what we have done

The silence has become the end of us

5 Best Android Emulators (2017) - Duration: 5:13.

👍 Like and Share this video 👍

Hey, guys, it's me Rahul ,back with another video, Today I'll be checking out some android

emulators, So if you don't know what an emulator is, it is essentially a piece of hardware

or a software which enables one piece of technology to behave like another.

In this case, we are basically transforming a Windows PC to behave like an android system

so to speak.

Using Android emulators on your PC is not gonna enable you to play very high-end Android

games because that is not how it works.

Android emulators for PC are of two type-- one is an app based and another one is OS

based.I personally prefer the OS type android emulators, because it feels more like Android,

but if you just want to play some games on your PC, you should choose the app like one's

because they are designed and optimized for users like you.

So let's get started!

1.First, we are gonna look at possibly ,the popular Android emulator, bluestacks.

Bluestacks is the first Android emulator that I have tried, and it has improved a lot since

then. They have completely redesigned the UI, from the last time that I have used this.

You can easily install any android app onto bluestack by just opening the apk file with

bluestacks.

I have tested bluestacks with some apps and games, and it worked really well.

I could play racing games with arrow keys and "wasd" keys, and everything else works

too.

I know for a fact that a lot of people want to use bluestacks for playing games like clash

of clans, and it is totally playable with bluestacks.

it is a really good option if you just want to run some android apps and games on your

PC.

2.A perfect example for the OS type android emulator is remix OS or remix player.

I'm using the remix player because it is much easier to setup.

But if you want to install Android on your old PC or something, you should definitely

go with the remix OS.

Both are exactly the same.

So don't worry about functionality or features.

As I said earlier, it is more like a dedicated Operating system than an emulator.

So for making this video, I downloaded the remix player again and used it for a couple

of minutes and the app lags like hell.

I don't know what happened maybe there is a problem with my pc.

But I have used this app a lot couple of months ago and it worked really.

And it is one my favorite android emulator.

3.Andy is the next emulator that i have for you guys, It is a traditional android skinned

emulator with some added features such as key remapping and gamepad support to play

games. You can install apks directly from windows to andy, Andy is running on android version

4.2 that is jellybean. That is the only, serious downside.

But most of the games and apps will work just fine.

I cannot get the gamepad to work correctly.

I think there are some bugs.

But other than that it is a solid choice as well

4.Next emulator on the list is Nox Player, i haven't actually used this one before

making this video, and i have to say i'm impressed by it, I think NOX player is not that popular,

but it is one of the best emulators for playing android games on your pc.

All the usual features are there in this emulator too….

like sideloading apks, macro, key mapping, two finger control, screen capture, controller

support etc.

The UI is very smooth, i haven't had any lags or glitches while playing some android

games, of course, you cannot play very high-end games, emulators are not made for that, but

in nox player, even games with really high-quality graphics runs pretty smoothly, It is definitely

a complete android emulator.

5.So we are on to the last one,Phoenix OS.

This one is a dedicated Android OS for your pc, you cannot run phoenix OS inside windows

without using some virtualization softwares.

I came across a lot of problems while trying to install it on my pc and my laptop, and

i couldn't get it to work.

Then i finally managed to install phenix os on my brother's laptop.

But i again faced some problems, there was a huge lag for 5 minutes when i first boot

up the OS, but after that 5 mins things began to run pretty smoothly.

I would say this, this is not for gaming, YOu could play games on Phoenix os, it is

powerful, but it is not made for gaming,You know what i mean, you want to keep that in

mind while deciding which emulator that you want to use.

But the OS is feature packed, It is a good alternative to linux, or ubuntu, If you have

a laptop that is just lying around and nobody is using it, then i highly recommend you to

try this on it.

You will not regret it.

And That's pretty much it guys, i hope you guys liked this video, if you did give this

video a big thumbs, and subscribe and I'll talk to you guys later.Good bye
