SAID, "MY FATHER COMMITTED SUICIDE WHEN I WAS A TEENAGER,

AND I JUST NEVER COULD SEEM TO GET MYSELF STRAIGHTENED OUT

AFTER THAT."

AND SHE SAID, "I STARTED DRINKING, STARTED TAKING A LOT

OF DRUGS.

MY LIFE WAS JUST IN A TOTAL MESS."

SHE WAS JUST FALLING APART, SO SHE GOT INTO

THE MERCY MINISTRIES HOME TO TRY TO GET SOME HELP,

AND ONE OF THE FIRST THINGS THAT SHE STARTED FINDING

OUT WHILE SHE WAS THERE IS THAT HER PROBLEMS STARTED AT THE TIME

HER FATHER COMMITTED SUICIDE, AND SHE NEVER REALIZED THIS, BUT

SHE WAS ANGRY AT HIM BECAUSE HE DID THAT AND LEFT THE FAMILY.

AND SO, SHE COULD NOT GET WELL, SHE COULDN'T STOP DRINKING, SHE

COULDN'T STOP TAKING DRUGS, UNTIL SHE GOT OVER BEING ANGRY.

AND I THINK THERE'S A LOT OF PEOPLE THAT HAVE SUBSTANCE ABUSE

PROBLEMS, ALL KINDS OF DIFFERENT PROBLEMS, AND REALLY THE ROOT OF

THE PROBLEM IS THAT SOMEWHERE WAY DOWN DEEP INSIDE, THEY'RE

ANGRY AT GOD BECAUSE THEIR LIFE HASN'T TURNED OUT RIGHT, THEY'RE

ANGRY AT SOMEBODY ELSE WHO HURT THEM OR DISAPPOINTED THEM,

OR THEY MAY EVEN BE ANGRY AT THEMSELVES FOR SOMETHING THEY

DID OR DIDN'T DO.

I'M GONNA TELL YOU A LITTLE BIT ABOUT MY FAMILY TONIGHT

AND MY MOM IN PARTICULAR.

SHE ENDED UP WITH A LIFETIME OF MENTAL ILLNESS, AND I KNOW IT

WAS ROOTED IN ANGER THAT SHE HAD TOWARD HERSELF AND GUILT THAT

SHE FELT BECAUSE SHE DID NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT WHAT MY FATHER

WAS DOING TO ME.

SHE WAS AFRAID OF HIM, SHE LET HIM DO IT, HER EXCUSE WAS FEAR.

BUT YOU KNOW WHAT?

EVEN WHEN WE MAKE EXCUSES THAT SOUND GOOD, IF WE KNOW WE SHOULD

BE DOING SOMETHING AND WE'RE NOT DOING IT, WE'RE GONNA END UP

FEELING GUILTY THAT WE DIDN'T DO IT AT A CERTAIN TIME.

OF OUR SOUL, AND YOU ACTUALLY CAN FEEL IT GETTING BIGGER,

AND RISING, AND RISING.

AND I WAS NOT JOKING WHEN I SAID YOU NEED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT

TO TAKE IT VERY SERIOUSLY TONIGHT, BECAUSE I'M TELLING

YOU, ANGER IS DOING SO MUCH DAMAGE TO PEOPLE'S LIVES AND SO

MUCH DAMAGE TO THEIR HEALTH.

I'M SURE IF WE HAD THE TIME, WHICH I DON'T, I COULD ASK

DR. PAUL TO COME UP HERE AND TELL YOU WHAT ANGER DOES TO YOUR

HEALTH, AND HE COULD TELL YOU THAT IT'S NOT HEALTHY TO BE

ANGRY.

THERE'S NO TELLING HOW MUCH ENERGY IT TAKES TO HAVE ONE GOOD

FIT AND TRY TO GET OVER IT.

DO YOU KNOW WHAT FITS ARE HERE IN HOUSTON?

SOMETIMES ANGER RESULTS IN RIDICULING OR HUMILIATING

ANOTHER PERSON, TEASING IN A MANNER OF PUTTING THEM DOWN.

AND YOU KNOW, A LOT OF TIMES WE'RE ACTUALLY ANGRY AT

SOMEBODY, WE'VE GOT SOME KIND OF A DEEP-ROOTED RESENTMENT,

AND SO WE DO WHAT THE BIBLE CALLS COARSE JESTING, WHERE

WE'RE SAYING NEGATIVE, UNKIND, INSULTING THINGS, BUT ACTING

LIKE WE'RE KIDDING.

MM-HMM.

WE PLAYED GOLF WITH A MAN ONE TIME, AND I REMEMBER EVERY

SINGLE TIME HE WOULD MAKE A MISTAKE, HIT THE BALL BAD,

MISS THE BALL, MISS THE PUTT, HE WOULD SAY, "STUPID.

I'M SO STUPID.

THAT'S JUST STUPID."

WELL, SEE, HE WAS DOING THAT BECAUSE HE WAS ANGRY AT HIMSELF.

HE WAS EMBARRASSED BECAUSE HE DIDN'T PERFORM GOOD AND HE WAS

ANGRY AT HIMSELF.

I TELL PEOPLE THIS ALL OVER THE WORLD AND I'M GONNA TELL YOU

TONIGHT, DO NOT EVER AGAIN SAY A DOWNGRADING THING ABOUT

YOURSELF OUT OF YOUR OWN MOUTH.

HE KNEW THAT HE WAS DOING A LOT OF THINGS THAT WAS WRONG.

BUT INSTEAD OF TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEM AND

GETTING THE HELP THAT HE NEEDED, HE BLAMED EVERYBODY ELSE

IN THE WORLD.

THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH EVERYBODY OUT THERE.

AND IF YOU'RE DEALING WITH SOMEBODY IN YOUR LIFE THAT FINDS

FAULT WITH EVERYBODY IN THE UNIVERSE, THEN IN ALL

PROBABILITY, THERE'S A GUILT PROBLEM GOING ON ON THE INSIDE

OF THEM ABOUT SOMETHING THAT THEY'RE DOING.

AND INSTEAD OF FACING IT, THEY'RE DISPLACING THAT ANGER

ONTO SOMEBODY ELSE.

YOU KNOW, THIS WHOLE THING, WE CAN SEE IT GET STARTED IN

THE BOOK OF GENESIS WHEN CAIN KILLED ABEL.

AND IF--AND MATTER OF FACT, I WANT US TO GO LOOK AT IT,

IT'S IN GENESIS CHAPTER 4.

NOW, THERE WAS AN ISSUE HERE WITH THE OFFERINGS THAT CAIN

AND ABEL GAVE TO GOD.

AND ABEL'S OFFERING WAS ACCEPTABLE TO GOD,

BUT CAIN'S WAS NOT.

AND I WON'T GET INTO A TEACHING ON ALL THAT.

CAIN TRIED TO GIVE SOMETHING THAT WAS THE WORK OF HIS OWN

HANDS, AND SO HE WASN'T REALLY BEING OBEDIENT TO GOD.

GOD SAID, "'I HAD NO RESPECT FOR HIS OFFERING.'

SO, CAIN WAS EXCEEDINGLY ANGRY AND INDIGNANT AND HE LOOKED

SAD AND DEPRESSED."

WHICH WE MIGHT ALSO ADD THAT A LOT OF THESE BAD MOODS THAT

PEOPLE HAVE IS ALSO THE RESULT OF ANGER OF SOME KIND.

"AND THE LORD SAID TO CAIN, 'WHY ARE YOU ANGRY?

AND WHY DO YOU LOOK SAD AND DEPRESSED AND DEJECTED?'"

NOW, I LOVE THIS, "IF YOU DO WELL, WILL

YOU NOT BE ACCEPTED?

AND IF YOU DO NOT DO WELL, SIN CROUCHES AT YOUR DOOR.

ITS DESIRE IS FOR YOU," AND I LIKE THIS TOO.

"YOU," I DREW A CIRCLE AROUND IT, "MUST MASTER IT."

SO, DON'T BLAME SOMEBODY ELSE IF YOU'RE NOT DOING WHAT'S RIGHT,

HE'S SAYING TO HIM, THEN YOU CAN FIND FORGIVENESS, THINGS CAN BE

STRAIGHTENED OUT, BUT YOU HAVE TO FACE IT.

JUST DON'T GO AROUND ANGRY BECAUSE YOUR LIFE IS NOT TURNING

OUT THE WAY YOU WANT IT TO WHEN YOU DIDN'T DO WHAT YOU SHOULD'VE

DONE TO HAVE GOTTEN THE RIGHT RESULT.

this video is going to be about is about online learning and my thoughts about

online learning without even looking at without even looking at my notes let me

see what I what I what I what I was thinking about this online learning how

it's so great first of all it's a good I think it's a

perfect accompaniment my videos my dc-8 ler but anyways any online learning

yes I know but it's for free so how much selfless how how bad is it right okay so

that so they on so online learning is um

what what do I think of online learning I think it's great I learned so much

from watching from online learning from mainly YouTube because it's it's free to

watch YouTube you just click you just click you know you know you know yeah

you don't have to sign up unless you want to make a comment thank you very

much for commenting I think you might do have to have a youtube channel or any

YouTube account to like a video or dislike I don't know but anyways

YouTube's easy just you just type something in you can even Google type

something Google and you'll find it over on YouTube or you'll find a video the

point I'm getting I like it a lot and I think a lot of other people like it a

lot and why online learning just helped me out a lot

was because I could go I could go at my own pace first of all and it's very very

nerve-wracking for for me this might I'm shy sometimes or what I want to be shy

like you know when I'm on camera here it's because I want to be on camera it's

because hey I took some caffeine pills I ate you know the my surroundings are

good and I'm here but you know when I'm in a classroom especially now I was

younger because I used to get picked on and bullied a lot and everything was

negative towards you like negative negative so I just wanted to like not

only I didn't want anybody to notice me at all so if I didn't understand

something there was no way like I never I never asked a question in class from

like ever I don't think like seriously like I was never like hey I don't

understand I don't understand this maybe one class in college or two classes in

college I would do that in yeah so that was never me because I didn't want

everyone to look at me and then so you got the whole class looking at you I

mean in middle school or high school 30 people college sometimes and like those

the the big lectures like a 101 like an accounting you know 101 or math 101 or

just these 101 you know the beginning the freshman year is 101 so in a

freshman year or English class or this class or sometimes there'd be two or 300

people I went took some classes at Florida

State and then you're gonna ask a question and have two or 300 people look

at you or when you're in younger grades

you know 20 30 people looking at you and the teacher and the teacher is like

right you know he's like you're like hey I understand this then the teacher says

again what he just said that you didn't understand then so you're getting the

same information then he's like right right right and you're like dude I don't

then everything of course I guess I mean so that's why the beauty of this online

is online learning because you don't have to tell and I've gotten I've gotten

a bunch of uh you know I guess I've got a bunch of data and stuff so I've gotten

a bunch a bunch of private messages and such that says like um you know I didn't

know the basics of accounting like I did tax or if for whatever reason I work

around this stuff and now it's got embarrassing and I don't you know it's

like stuff you should know by now or maybe you've been faking it

now it's embarrassing at your workplace or wherever that you don't know this

material and I mean it's so great all you have to do is just type on YouTube

and learn the material like no one's gonna know I mean even if someone does

get your search browser through the FICA you're looking for like a county you're

like yeah I was just brushing up you're like I mean you can never brush up on

your skills too much you know you think you're busted or whatever but what else

so I thought about that in the online learning and I really you know cuz I

just kind of came on I just throw some accounting videos up in my County for

beginners number one has about six hundred thousand views and it's getting

about three thousand views a day right now which I never thought would happen I

mean when I threw that up I think I got like six years the first day or seven

and those were all mine I'm sure at least five I mean yeah it was bad tough

to see where I am now and then to be like a teacher like at first if you know

if you've watched my first couple videos you know that I'm like I have no I don't

know I I really hadn't found my voice in the first couple for sure I feel I'm

finding it currently I think with every video I'm getting better in front of my

voice I'm just practicing practicing practicing so that I know I love making

these videos I get a lot of love from it so I lost my train of thought I was but

I know I know I wanted to talk about oh that I'm like a I'm a teacher now and

you know everyone says oh you'd be granted to college in the great ecology

we go to college to college you know I have a problem with authority and I like

to do my own thing and I love that this channel is just me like I didn't haven't

got a shout out for anybody no one really did I know personally in real

life has you know showed me any YouTube I just

was a devout a voracious YouTube user I asked to help me pass the CPA exam and

so then I started I started doing these uh teaching online I guess I mean I

started with like how I crossed the CPA exams I thought that would be the most

beneficial you know if I was the that was the biggest thing I've done and I

thought people you know that would get a lot down get two views you know a lot of

views yeah you know I was gonna I was gonna be as I was gonna have a crazy

popular YouTube channel CPA exam but that was way way too small of a niche

but I hey I was least I was putting videos out and I mean those those are

still up I still have my beginning videos and such and then so I had found

I had found a video like six videos this was like six years ago so these videos

must be like 10 12 years ago now I was like a very computer voice and it was

like a blur right and so I see was that today I mean it's this guy like

enlightened or something and light no seven hasn't posted and like eight or

like 10 years but he had a blur so that helped me like and you know and his

couple videos helped me and so I wanted to add the DC on there so then I mean I

give this guy credit for coming up with a l'heure or I mean all the the cool

thing with that is there's nothing really groundbreaking about it I mean a

blur it's acid straw expense liability equity revenue I mean it's really

nothing it's just the bare basics but so that in mind that was good but it

still didn't encompass everything so you know when when my grandfather my

grandfather in Texas taught me the rules of football you know it was a hundred

100 yards as the field and then you know you have the field goals and you go ten

yards and your first down and okay that's you know what I'm sayin so you

gotta know the rules the whole the whole field you know what's out of balance

what's in bounds the whole field and so that was good

the aehlert but then I thought well everything's either a debit or a credit

and ask that's either debit or credit every every every a jeweler is either a

debit or credit so I added those on I said hey I'm gonna add those on and so

then I started making DC a blur my thing I started pumping it out there for four

you know at first I made five videos and then we didn't do nothing for a long

time and now there are another kiln it and it's crazy how those five videos are

changing my life it's awesome I mean and I think it's a testament to like the you

know world shit on me I did a lot to myself with my with my drug addictions

and stuff for me I guess it did all my self through drug addictions and how I

supported my voracious drug addictions my expensive habit how I supported that

yeah you know I don't know how I got on that but anyways like you know and now

I'm here that was me then now I'm here but look I'm not focusing on my past so

much anymore that I can't change that and yeah and yeah I tell you yeah I was

a big drug addict

nice to do whatever running them streets to pay for my habit and why am I making

that why am I making that public why not because it's me

you know am i proud of it hell no I wish it wasn't me

I'm just saying if you find yourself in a similar position that you've done it

to yourself or life I mean you do your own life so you've done it yourself

you've been fucking up your whole life everyone else thinks you're a fucking

mess that was me too and I just started changing some small things and you know

one thing led to another and then I like I quit drinking and then some more

things led to another then I got my CPA license and then that I made some

youtube videos and now we're here so and now I'm an online teacher for the whole

world to see this video is getting long AF I can just talk forever and I'm just

really enjoying this and jeezum crow bars I'm gonna do it I'm gonna do it one

take Timmy like yo this is crazy because you know my editing is not nothing so

anyways what else do I want to even set me and JT blazes are you let me show you

White House issues updated travel ban; N. Koreans will be completely banned from entering U.S. - Duration: 1:36.

The Trump administration expands its travel ban to citizens from more nations including

North Korea and Venezuela.

Meaning from mid-October on, they will be completely banned from entering the United

States.

Connie Kim explains further.

Eight countries will be facing new entry restrictions to the U.S. under a proclamation signed by

President Trump on Sunday.

The White House is slapping travel bans on citizens from North Korea, Venezuela and Chad

expanding the initial list of travel restrictions on Iran, Libya, Syria, Yemen and Somalia.

Restrictions on citizens from Sudan have been lifted.

The restrictions vary from full travel bans on nationals from countries like Syria and

North Korea to more targeted restrictions for Venezuela.

The proclamation reads that Trump as the president must protect the security and interests of

the United States and its people.

The announcement comes on the day President Trump's temporary ban on visitors from six

Muslim-majority countries was set to expire.

The new list has extra significance as it has broadened the restrictions to socialist

countries like North Korea and Venezuela.

While an administration official acknowledged the small number of North Koreans traveling

to the U.S.,… the proclamation said North Korea does not cooperate with the American

government in any respect and fails to satisfy all information-sharing requirements.

The new restrictions are slated to take effect on October 18th.

The U.S. Supreme Court will hear arguments on October 10th on whether the current ban

discriminates against Muslims in violation of the U.S. Constitution.

Ten Years Have Passed Since Evangelion 1.0 - Duration: 5:01.

Evangelion: 1.0 was released to theaters in Japan on September 1st, 2007,

which means that ten years have passed since its release,

and to the frustrations of many fans, the series of films is still incomplete.

After years of spin-off video games and manga,

such as Girlfriend of Steel, Ikari Shinji Raising Project, and Evangelion 2,

it was actually quite exciting to hear that not only was Hideaki Anno directing animated works again,

but that fans would be getting new Evangelion anime.

If you're not intimately familiar with Anno's career,

there was a period of time following his apparent exit from the production of Kare Kano

where he limited his time with Gainax,

and instead focused on producing several live action feature films.

The first of these films, 1998's Love & Pop was shot on handheld Sony camcorders,

and featured ambitious, experimental, and kinetic cinematography.

Almost in response to this, his follow up, 2000's Shiki Jitsu

was an art-house film emphasizing stillness, color, and symbolism.

Finally, in 2004, Anno was tapped to direct a live action Cutie Honey film

that was colorful, stylish, and a joy to watch.

Fans often questioned when or whether Anno would return to animation,

and in August of 2006, we got our answer.

Studio khara was formed for the purpose of producing a tetralogy of Evangelion films.

The story goes that following his work on Cutie Honey,

Anno wanted Gainax to produce a new Evangelion series,

however at the time, Gainax president Hiroyuki Yamaga

wanted to move forward with Hiroyuki Imaishi's Gurren Lagann.

Unable to accommodate the demands of both projects,

Yamaga urged Anno to spin-off his own production company.

In the short term, it was fortunate, because we got Gurren Lagann, as well as Rebuild of Evangelion.

However, in the long run, I think it ended up being quite unfortunate for Gainax,

as Anno pulled key creative talent away from Gainax to form khara,

and similarly, Imaishi spun-off his own Studio Trigger several years later,

producing successful works like Kill la Kill that would have been right at home with Gainax.

Over the years, khara would take full ownership of Evangelion away from Gainax,

and would eventually win a lawsuit against them,

forcing Gainax to pay residuals for the works of Hideaki Anno.

It's unbelievable to think about how things have played out,

especially when you consider that the original plan called for Evangelion: 3.0

and Evangelion: Final to be a double-feature to be released by Summer of 2008.

Yes, that's right, the original plan called for these films to have been finished nine years ago.

You can argue that this was either overly optimistic,

or khara just telling fans and investors what they wanted to hear,

but it's more likely that the production has grown,

or ballooned beyond what Anno had originally intended.

The production of the original Neon Genesis Evangelion

was very much an example of building the car while driving it,

and Anno has repeated that pattern once again with Rebuild.

Evangelion: 1.0 apparently took about a year to complete,

2.0 took about two years, and 3.0 took about three.

Anno burned out and took a four-year hiatus following the home video release of Evangelion: 3.0,

and dabbled in a number of things, including voicing Jiro Horikoshi

in Hayao Miyazaki's The Wind Rises,

partnering with Dwango to produce The Animator Expo,

and directing the hugely successful Shin Godzilla.

And now, Anno claims to have recharged his batteries, and returned to Evangelion.

The production of Evangelion: 3.0+1.0

has been confirmed and promoted several times,

khara has recruited staff to work on the film,

and promotional images have started to surface.

When the concluding film will be finished is really hard to say,

but it will certainly be a good, long wait until the official English-language version is finally released to home video.

I wish Anno the best of luck.

I'm hoping this last film is a satisfactory conclusion to the Rebuild series,

and I look forward to what he will do creatively post-Evangelion once again.

North Korea stages rallies in support of Kim Jong-un and denounces Trump's UN speech - Duration: 1:57.

Pyongyang sent an open letter calling on nations to denounce Trump's speech at the UN.

Also several mass protests were staged in North Korea.

The weekend rallies targeted the U.S. administration while showing support for their leader Kim

Jong-un.

Kwon Jang-ho zooms in on the rare sight.

Over the weekend, hundreds of thousands were said to have taken to the streets across North

Korea, armed with banners and slogans denouncing the U.S. and Trump.

The biggest rally was staged reportedly in Pyongyang, with over a hundred thousand gathered

at Kim Il-sung Square.

Senior officials were said to have read out a statement by Kim Jong-un, before making

their own speeches and rally cries, vowing to achieve their "final victory" over the

"U.S. imperialists."

These rallies came after Kim Jong-un released an unprecedented statement on Friday condemning

U.S. President Trump's speech at the UN General Assembly earlier last week.

Written in the first person, the statement called Trump "mentally deranged" and pledged

to take the strongest countermeasures against the U.S.

Trump had called Kim a "rocket man" on a suicide mission in his speech, and had threatened

to "totally destroy" North Korea if necessary.

The ongoing volley of insults and threats has put other nations on edge.

However, Pyongyang also called on them to take their side in condemning Trump in an

open letter to parliaments around the world on Monday.

The regime's foreign affairs committee is said to have asked all countries that "love

independence, peace and justice" to fulfill their duty of maintaining these values...

and remain vigilant of the U.S. leader's actions.

The letter warned that Trump's words were a big miscalculation that could lead to nuclear

war.

It added the mission of the committee is to promote friendly relations with all parliaments

and peace-loving people around the world.

There is no information as to which nations the letter was sent.

2017 Bernat Blanket Stitch Along: Week 2 Crochet Stitch Clue - Duration: 21:45.

Hey. Welcome back to The Crochet Crowd as well as my friends over at joann.com.

I'm your host, Miky. We're going to go on for week number two of The Crochet

Mystery. I'm going to tell you a little more about what's going on today and then

we're going to jump down into the studio and get you started and being able to make

your mystery awesome. So this is week number two. For those on the Facebook

events page With Joann as well as The Crochet Crowd, you know you're ready.

Just check with the link in the more information of today's video and you'll

find the next set of clues in order to continue and then you can crochet along

with me to be able to follow along. So in today's particular project,

it is amazing. We are going to take what we think is a square and potentially make

it into a diamond shape so when we think it's like this, maybe it's like that.

I don't know. You have to stay tuned. So today, we're going to get started even

more. We're doing a technique I have never done before other than today's tutorial,

where how to do it and learn it for the very first time. We're going to polish it

off and make it into a beautiful square and then do some surface crochet again

once we're getting near to the end. So without further ado, let's move on to week

number two. Let's head on into the studio and let's get started right now.

and then press play again to continue along in your project. So let's begin week

number two and in week number two, we're now going to take our center piece and

we're going to tilt it. So we've been thinking that it's going to be looking

like this in the afghan but is it? Maybe it's going to be into a diamond shape just

like so. You don't know. You have to stay tuned for the weeks ahead.

So what we're going to do here in this clue is that we are going to then start

making this section that you see out here plus we're going to then go all the way

around in order to bring it into balance as we go. So we have a diagram like

before. We have the written instructions so that you can follow.

So our goal then is to do each one of the four sides. You have to do it separately

and then we'll be completing that. So let's take a look at the diagram itself.

So here's what the diagram looks like. The middle section is greater because that's

from week number one but we're now going to move on to week number two.

So we're going to choose any one of the four sides. You have to do the same thing

for each one the sides and you're just going to work your way back and forth and

you're just going to bring the last two stitches together when you got to do that

in order to form a triangle. So it gets quicker and quicker the more out that you

get and then what we're going to do then is that we're going to do the borders as

we go all the way around once all four sides are done. So I'm going to quickly

review with you on how you do one of these sides and then you're going to do the

other three on your own and then I'll show you how to do the two rounds for the

borders after that. So let's begin one corner. So we're going to then do this for

all four sides. What I want to point out to your attention right away is that

you'll notice that the single crochets look like they're off from each other.

That's just the way it is. It's not actually like that in the project.

Each single crochet gets a single crochet as you work your way across in row number

one. The trick is to make sure that we get the proper number of stitches in row

number one. So the first change in space is going to have one single crochet and

then we just put in a single crochet into each one of the stitches all the way

across. I did double check that and everything does work out and then we get

to the other side, we chain up one and then we put the first two together,

we single crochet all the way back across and then we put the last two together.

We chain up one, put the first two together, go all the way back across,

and then put the last two together. So we're always putting two together when we

go to do the outside in order to form the perfect triangle. The trick is to know how

many stitches to put here and we're going to review that next.

So as we begin, we want to make sure that there is 23 single crochets that go in to

the side here. So we're going to get you started and then you're going to do the

same on the other side. Again, another 23 will go along this side and this side and

etc. So we just want to pay attention. I'm only going to show it one time and then

we'll begin. So let's grab our new yarn and let's get started.

So let's get started. We're going to create a slip knot to begin and we're

going to start in any chain two space right in the last round that we had from

week number one. So let's just create a slip knot and begin, go right into the

chain two space and you are going to just fasten on with a slip stitch chain one and

single crochet right into that same chain two space. So that counts as one of the

single crochets that has to go across. So how many did we need in order to get

started? We needed a total of 23, so that's one of them. So we're just going to

single crochet across all of the single crochets that are in there and to the

other side. So let's count these out together. So this is number 2,

that's 3, 4, that's 5, 6, 7, 8, 9,

10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16,

17, 18, 19, 20, 21, and 22

and the next one is in the chain two space,

so it's your 23. So I know that I'm starting off right by getting my 23 and

right off the hop. So let's move on to the next row, row number two.

On a sheet of paper, I want you to write rows number 1 through 12 and we just did

row number one, check it off. So come back and now and turn your work and you're

going to begin the first row. So chain up one and the first two are going to become

together as two single crochets together. So go right into the very first stitch and

pull through and come into the next one, going in, pull through,

and then pull through all three loops and that's it, our single crochet two

together. So the first two stitches just became together. So then you're just going

to single crochet yourself across. You can either count it but I don't see the point

of doing that because you know your counts are right based on the last round,

you wrote what you did. So what you can just do is that on the final row,

are final two stitches that you have when you come across, I want you just to put

the last two together. I'll see you there in just a moment. So I'm coming across and

I'm just looking for my stitches and I have three left so now I just have two

left. So the final two become together. So going into the next one,

pull through, dive into the next one, pull through, and then pull through all three

loops and that is single crochet two together. So that was row number two.

So check that off on your sheet. So now you're going to notice that it's going to

start angling in. So now we're going to begin row number three.

So these rows like this, all the way from 1 to 11, are the same.

So just chain up one and then just put the first two together.

Okay. So just making sure you put them together, pull through all three loops and

then just single crochet across and you'll notice that this will get quicker and

quicker because you got less stitches to worry about. So you're eliminating two

stitches every time you do a pass. So what I want you to do is this concept all the

way to row number 11 and then row number three. I'll meet you…row number twelve,

I'll meet you back there and then we're going to show you how to put three

together as the conclusion of one of these sides and then you're going to do the

other three on your own. So as you come to the other side, the last two stitches come

together. So just put them together and then that was row number three.

So check that off on your sheet, turn your work and then continue along.

If you don't want to check off anything on your sheet, all you can just do is that

when you get to the very final, there is going to be three stitches left at the

very point and then you know you're done as well but I would probably just check it

off, make sure that you're getting the work done so that it's equal on all four

sides. So I'll see you at the end of row number 11. So literally,

just a few moments ago, I left you to get the rest of these rows done all the way to

row number 11 which I just finished. Now this is row number 12 which is the final.

So chain up one. You only have three stitches left. You're going to put those

three together. So just grab them, yarn over, pull through, and you'll have four

loops on to your hook. Yarn over and pull through all four loops and you're done.

So what you want to just do is fasten off at this point and just leave the extra

long tails that you can bury that in afterward. And then you're going to

restart this all over again and just leave that tail later and then you're going to

start on another round. Remember, the secret answer to doing this is to make

sure that you turn it over first and you get the right side of the project in order

to begin. So it's right where these are lifted off and then you're going to start

operating the corner. You're going to chain up one, single crochet into that

one, and then all of the stitches across, and then there will be one in the end here

and it will be a total of 23 and then you're going to continue to get it and

then you'll see this happen again. So let's continue to do the rest of the sides

here and then I'll leave that for you and then we'll come back and then we'll

continue along in today's mystery. So as we move forward in today's tutorial,

you're going to have all four sides completely done. I cannot believe how fast

it actually took me to do this. I shouldn't be surprised. It's [inaudible

00:09:40] like a yarn. It always goes quick. So the other side looks just as

good. I just got to get rid of some tails and now what we're going to do is that

we're going to start doing the border work. There is two layers all the way

around in order to bring this because you'll notice that's kind of floppy and

not kind of sitting flat. So what we're going to do is we're going to take the

same color yarn and we're going to circle twice and then we're going to do another

surface overlay to give it the look that you see up here. So let's begin to do

round number one but let's go back to the diagram first. So here,

we're going to start to diagram again and we're going to start off in one corner.

So you can choose any one of the corners that you have, just commit to one,

and then you're going to notice that you're going to chain up one and there is

going to be three single crochets in the very corner and that's going to happen in

each one of the corners as you get all the way around. So what you're seeing here is

a single crochet basically is in each one of the rows as you go.

So there is going to be a total, remember that there was 12 rows as you went.

So there's going to be a total of 12 single crochets evenly along the side of

the triangle. So let's count that out. So 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7,

8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 just like you see here. And then we jump to the next one,

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 and then the corner.

So keep an eye on your stitch counts. Make sure that they work.

Don't add in any extra because you don't know what's beyond today's mystery.

So let's begin to do the first round. So let's start off in the corner.

You're going to start off with the slip knot just to begin and just for extra

security. And then what you can do is that you really cannot see your stitches with

this particular color but you can feel where those stitches are on the other

side. So the goal is to get 12 evenly and then jump to the next one and do 12.

So let's start off in the corner. Just go right into a corner,

attach it with a slip stitch, chain up one, pull it nice and tight,

and then back into the same section, same space, and you're going to do three single

crochets. So what I would do when I come back around is that I'm going to lay this

down over top of the stitch work and then trap it into position.

So I'm going to move my way down and I want to do a total of 12.

So I'm just going to lay this down, right over the top of the line,

and do 12 single crochets. So 1, and keep moving down, 2, 3, and 4,

5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12, just like you see here. Okay. So then you just jump

to the next one. So start in the first side here. Okay. And if you have any tails

to leave in, just put them in. So 1, and work your way up the other side,

2, 3, that's 4, that's 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 and then in the corner,

that is next. I want to make sure I put in three single crochets.

So make sure the straggler that you have here, you put it over top.

So one, two, and three and then just move down the other side here.

So again, you want to do 12, and then jump over, and then 12 and then 3 into the next

corner. Please do that same thing going all the way around for this round.

When you get all the way back around, you're just going to slip stitch then to

the top of the first three that you have. The first single crochet and then we're

going to move on to the next round which will be the last round to do.

So what we're going to do, let's start the next round. Let's go back to the chart one

more time and then we're just going to go. Now, if you have it buckling at all in any

way, let me just zoom out a little bit here, you just got to take it and just

stretch it, just pull on it and then it'll sit nice and flat for you.

So let's continue. Let's go back to the chart one more time. So we have two more

things to do. We still have the last round of the border and then we have the surface

overlay which is in the round we just completed and we were going to do single

crochets around the post like we had already back way back on round number five

in the first week. So what we're going to do then in this one,

we're going to slip stitch to get ourselves to the middle one of the group

of three, chain up two which counts as the half double crochet,

two more half double crochets into that same one, and then half double crochet in

each stitch going all the way across with the exception to the last one which is the

third…the middle one of the three and there is three half double crochets and so

on. Let's begin the final round and then we're going to do surface overlay after

this. So let's begin the first round. So let's begin the next round.

I know it's really hard to see with this yarn. I have to use it because of the

project. So what we're going to do is that there's three single crochets that are

here. You want to slip stitch to the next one which will take you to the middle one.

So if you can probably see it better when it's in front of you versus here on

camera. So you're going to chain up two which counts as a half double crochet and

in that same one, you are going to put in two more half double crochets.

[00:15:30] So now, we're just going to half double crochet in each of the

stitches going across. Just use your fingertips to feel for it if you cannot

see it and this yarn is really quite fabulous. I love how well it works out and

it's awesome. So you're going to half double crochet in each of them as you go

across except for the very middle one of the group of three in the next corner and

you'll put in three half double crochets and then you'll continue to move around

with one half double crochet each. So please do that all the way around for this

round and meet me be back here and then we're going to do something else,

just one last thing. When you get all the way back around, don't forget you have

your three half double crochets already in the beginning and then you just got to

slip stitch to the top of the beginning chain two that was counting as one to

bring that to conclusion. You're going to fasten that off and you're going to weave

in your ends as normal and then what we're going to do is that we're just going to do

one round of surface overlay and then this mystery is complete for this week and then

we're going to join in next week to begin again. So let's just go back and we're

going to do some surface overlay. We're going to use the darker blue and when I

come back, we'll get started. So coming back to the photo, you'll notice that

there is a round of blue here. This is the surface overlay that's done on the second

last round of the…it's actually the first round of the border but it's the second

last round of what we just did. And then we're just going to do a single crochet

around the post as we go all the way around in a circle. And again,

it's the same thing that we just did with the middle one here and the white.

We just want to go around in order to bring it to conclusion. Let's get started

and show you how to do that. So to begin, you're going to create a slip knot and

you're going to go into the second last round that you had. Okay?

And it was pretty easy. It was a single crochet round. So you remember that

there's three single crochets that are on and corner. So you just kind of pop in one

side and out the other. Okay? So just put this on the hook first I guess and we just

want to just kind of feel around for our stitches and just go in one side and out

the other. There's nothing that attaches to this as well so even if you're off by

one or two, as long as it looks good, you can get away with it pretty easily.

So I attached it with a slip stitch. So we're going to chain up one and then one

single crochet into that one again. So I've left a little bit of longer tails so

that I can use it to weave in my ends and you're just going to just put it out of

the way and then just feel for your stitches, just open things up,

come in one side, and pop it out the other, and single crochet.

And you're going to do that with every stitch. You don't have to do anything

special on the corners. You just got to make sure you just put one single crochet

into each post as you go all the way around on that round. So stick to that

round only and then when I come back, we'll have this done and I'll show just

quickly how to weave in your ends and then you can just get rid of all your tail ends

for this week and we're going to move on then later on in the future weeks to come.

So get this done. I'll see you back here in just a moment. As you come all the way

back around, you'll run out of posts and then you're just going to slip stitch to

the top of the first single crochet that you started with. You're going to leave an

extra long tail and let's just zoom it, just a little bit for you there,

and what we're going to do is just trim it and then just pull through and we're going

to grab a darning needle and we're going to hide this in. So we're not going to

hide it in the front side, we're going to hide it in the back side because you don't

want it falling out on the front side at all. So what we're going to do,

just take your strand and put it into the darning needle. I like how it can compress

down. And you're going to dive right head first into the stitch.

We're keeping in the same color so that you don't see it and just pull it through

and this will put down, and you're going to turn it over and you're going to weave

it in to the stitch work into the back side. If you see the darning needle at all

in the front side, you've dug too deep. So just stick to the fibers towards the

outside of this on the back and you're going to go back and forth through the

fibers at least three times, no less, you don't really need more.

So this is two and going back in. So you have to just go through a different path

each time you go back and forth so that it gets trapped into position.

This yarn is actually really hiding this yarn in really nicely.

And so you're just going to grab the other one that you had started with,

feed it into the darning needle, and you're going to want to deal with all your

tails at this end before moving into your next week of clues and you're going to

join me then next week to begin to go even further. Myself, I don't know what I'm

getting myself into so I have to wait for my clues at this moment and then I will

see you back here at the beginning of the next set of clues, see what we're going to

get ourselves into. Now if your project is not sitting down flat,

mine's a little not sitting down flat right now, I got to yank on it and just

pull on it a little bit to get it to settle down and I will show you that in

just a moment. So this is how you just weave in your ends. So here I am at the

end and all I just want to do is just pull on the all sides just to get it to relax.

them behave in certain ways, they like to control other people.

For most of us, we have come across situations where someone tells us not to do something.

Then, when asked why not, they respond with, "I don't want you to," or, "That's

not how it's done."

Controlling personalities stem from having codependency issues.

This means that they rely on their ability to control you so that they can feel safe

confident and secure.

However, by doing this, they ultimately end up making you feel like you have lost your

voice and your independence.

As a result, they have you under their thumb and they destroy your self-esteem.

They start out overly-loving, then intentionally create distance.

This is a subtle manipulation tactic that is easily overlooked, if you don't know

how to spot it.

Once you meet him or her, they will begin to create a rapid and intense closeness designed

to make you trust them and rely on their affection.

As soon as they think you truly believe they have feelings for you, they will start to

distance themselves, and their affections.

This tactic is designed to make you fall head-over-heels in love so quickly that when things slow down,

all the errands, pay the bills, and more.

They want you to conform to their control without question.

They use guilt to manipulate you.

"If you love me, you will…"

"I will be hurt if you don't…"

"You should want to…"

All of these are sayings controlling personalities use to manipulate you through guilt.

They will try to use your love and care for them to get what they want.

This is a horribly destructive pattern in toxic relationships of any kind, friendship,

workplace, spouse- and can result in permanent emotional damage.

They impose arbitrary rules on your life.

Of course they know what is best for everyone, all the time.

Controlling people have a set list of rules that everyone should abide by, and if they

don't, judgement soon follows.

Liz Ryan shares an example list of arbitrary rules with Forbes:

It's impolite to let voice mail messages go unanswered for more than a half-day.

Five minutes early to a meeting is on time.

On time is late!

It's rude to breastfeed in public, even with a blanket covering the baby.

If you don't have factual evidence for your argument, don't make it.

Opinions don't count.

It's unprofessional to [hug a co-worker who's just had a new grandbaby or question

a management decision or schedule a day off work just to relax]

Work isn't supposed to be fun; that's why they call it work.

Although these are just examples, it's highly likely that you have heard something similar

in your life before.

No. 6.

They will try to make you feel bad for being yourself.

Once you recognize these behaviours for what they are, and refuse to be swayed by controlling

personalities any longer, the controlling party will likely tell you how much you have

"changed."

They rely on their words having power over you, and as soon as that comes to a screeching

halt, it's your fault.

How dare you show signs of independence after they tried so fervently to steal it away from

you?

Change is good.

Especially when it comes to leaving or avoiding toxic people.

Never let anyone tell you that you should be who they tell you to be.

That decision is up to you entirely.

We've just finished our visit to the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel.

Very beautiful

Although the Sistine Chapel would be a nicer visit

if people knew how to shut up.

No worries, it still was really beautiful.
