Youtube Red: How to Watch Youtube Ad Free Plus Other Tips and Tricks - Duration: 5:31.

Hey guys, welcome back.

You guys requested this video.

This is basically kind of like a YouTube tips and tricks and hacks video.

Things I do to make my viewing experience more enjoyable.

I'm all about having an enjoyable viewer experience when I watch YouTube videos.

I watch YouTube across a wide variety of platforms.

Sometimes I watch it on my TV.

Most of the time I watch it on my laptop.

Sometimes I watch on my phone.

And on occasion, I watch it on my tablet.

So, one of the things that we did here at home, is we have the Google family plan.

The Google family plan is $15.99 a month.

Included in that $15.99 a month, we get YouTube Red for free.

We also get, I think, Google Play Music.

Basically what that does for us, is that it lets up to five people connect to Google Play

Music, so you have like ... It's basically, I guess, Google's answer to Spotify.

And you get all of this access to music, and you get to watch YouTube Red, which means

you get to watch YouTube without ads.

I love watching things without ads.

That's one of the reasons that I originally had a TiVo.

That's one of the reasons I like Netflix and Hulu, other stuff that's on demand.

So, if you don't want to do a Google Family Plan, which is $15.99 a month, which you can

split between five people, what you can do is get YouTube Red, or you can Google Play

Music, which is $9.99.

And the really cool thing about if you get either of those, you get the other.

So, if you pay for a YouTube Red subscription, you also get Google Play Music included, and

vice versa.

So, the other thing I really like, basically about the whole Google Family Plan, which

gives me the YouTube Red, is that basically, on YouTube Red, if I'm logged in, I don't

have to watch ads on anything.

It doesn't matter what platform.

So I don't have to watch it on my TV.

I don't have to watch it on my phone.

I don't have to have ads anywhere, which is really great.

It also lets you save videos, like on your phone, if you want to watch something later

for whenever you don't have cell reception.

So, like if you say you're going to be commuting on a train, or something, and you have your

headset, and you want to watch something on your phone, which you may not have the best

reception because you're going to go through a tunnel, that would be a time that you might

want to download a video to prep for that.

And then also, they give you access to exclusive content, like stuff from Rooster Teeth and

other big name YouTubers.

So, in my opinion, there's a lot of benefits to getting YouTube Red or the Google Family

Plan, or whatever.

But we have me, Ray, and Dave on our plan.

And then I think we also have one of our friends, Mike, and I think we have Ray's parents.

So, it works out really well for us.

Now, the next thing that I do to make watching YouTube videos more enjoyable, is I typically

watch on my laptop.

And the reason I do that, is because you can, on your laptop, change the speed of the video

you're watching.

So, you don't have to watch it normal speed.

You can speed things up to two times speed, which is hilarious.

I've watched my own videos at two times speed, and just laughed my ass off, because of how

I sound.

But a lot of times when I'm watching videos, I usually watch at like 1.5.

And you can slow them down as well.

So if you don't like ... If something is too fast, like if you're watching somebody who

speaks really, really fast, like Liv Lovers Her Makeup speaks super fast, you can slow

her down.

I really wish that this option was available on our cell phones and tablets, but currently

it's not.

And it drives me crazy, because I'm like, "Why is this not available on my tablet?

It should be on my tablet."

So YouTube really needs to fix that.

the number three thing that I like to do for videos, if I'm having trouble understanding

the person and how they speak because I do have a bit of a hearing problem, is I turn

on closed captioning.

Now, you may notice from my own videos, I do closed captioning for all of my videos.

And reason I do that is because I know what it's like to be unable to understand somebody

because they talk too fast, or I can't hear it through their accent, or they just have

a really shitty mic.

So, I personally do closed captioning for all of my videos to make it easier on people.

So I appreciate when other people have closed captioning as well.

Now, YouTube will do like a default captioning for people on videos, but their default system

really sucks.

And sometimes if it's been like crowd source, people will put really weird things on videos,

like, "Now here comes a MILF."

Cause somebody did that to one of my videos, and I was like, "No.

Oh, ew."

So, that's why I do my own closed captioning rather than just relying on YouTube.

But I really like the fact that if I'm in a situation where I need to watch a video

with no sound, I can just on closed captioning, and kind of get the gist of what's going on.

So if you're somebody who does make videos, I highly recommend that you add your own closed

captioning.

You transcribe your own videos, because it'll make it much more accessible for other people

who are hard of hearing, or for people who are hard of hearing, or are deaf.

It'll really help them out.

So there are a couple keyboard commands that I have found for watching YouTube that I really

like to make it easier to kind of control what you're doing.

If you hit K, it'll pause, or un-pause a video.

If you hit M, it'll mute or unmute a video.

And then if you hit F, it'll full screen, or take off full screen.

So those are three of the keyboard shortcuts that I really like.

And I wish I had known years ago, but I didn't learn until this year.

The last thing that you might be really interested in, is that you can do slow-mo with any YouTube

video by holding down the space bar.

And I don't know why this is a built in command, but it is, so that way if you're watching

something, and you want to see if you saw, like a dog out of the corner of your eye,

you can check it out and say, "Oh, yep.

There was a dog that just ran by."

I find it occasionally useful.

So, anyway.

That completes this video.

Basically, the things that I find really useful for making YouTube more enjoyable are, watching

on my laptop, having YouTube Red so I never had to watch an ad, and the keyboard shortcuts.

So anyway, these are all the different things that I do to make watching YouTube more enjoyable.

I Love Fall Tag | Tag Tuesday [CC] - Duration: 3:07.

Hi, YouTube, it's Kathy. I was tagged by Emily Hester to do the I Love Fall Tag,

so that's what I'm doing. Let's jump right into it shall we? Number

one is: your favourite fall scent? And I really like how the air gets really

crisp during fall, so even though air isn't really technically a scent, I think

we all know what I'm talking about. Number two: your favourite way to spend a

rainy day? Is nice and cozied up with blankets and a sweatshirt and a hot

beverage and a book - obviously. Number three: your favourite fall drink? This is

the time of year that I remember tea is a thing, because all during summer I'm

too hot for tea, even though I'll still drink coffee because I needs to wake up.

So usually I'll start drinking teas around now. When we get closer to Winter,

I'll switch right into hot chocolate. Number four: football - yaa or nay? You can

definitely tell this is started by an American. I don't care about sports.

Number five: your favourite article of Fall clothing? Whatever sweatshirt or

hoodie or sweater I happen to have on at the moment. So this one is currently it,

but I have a lot of really comfy hoodies and they just kind of rotate. In fact, the

other day I started wearing my hoodie from when I did Les Mis in 2002 and went,

"wow, this hoodie is 15 years old," and it's still comfy. Number six: haunted house,

haunted hayride, or haunted corn maze? Again, I'm assuming somebody from the

Midwest made this tag. I prefer a haunted house, like an actual full house would be

amazing. I remember when I was a kid, they set up, like, a mini haunted house within

the shopping center where we were living, and somebody definitely grabbed my

little brother's ankle and he definitely grabbed the first person he thought was

my Mom, and it was a stranger. So that was an awkward situation, but of course, being

the older sibling I thought it was hilarious.

Number seven: scariest movie you've ever seen? I'm just gonna go with The Babadook.

It's the most recent one that I've thought was actually really scary. I know

that sounds really weird; I like horror movies but I don't necessarily get

scared of them, but the Babadook made me go, "yeah I'm really firm in my idea of

not wanting to have kids." Number eight: favourite candy to eat on

Halloween? Whatever bite sized thing I am given, because obviously I'm an old; I

haven't been allowed to trick-or-treat for many years. But around this time of

year I do tend to go to shows where they give out candy, so I'll eat whatever's

there that I'm not allergic to. [Number 9;] What willyou be for Halloween this year? I am

working that day so I think that I will dress up as Wonder Woman because that

keeps in my theme of always wearing book-related shirts to work. I will be a

book character at work. Number 10: favourite Fall recipe? My roommate makes

soup in the Fall and just whatever soup he's making at the time is definitely my

favourite recipe. It changes from soup to soup; he doesn't actually use recipes. He

just makes delicious things and I eat them. Number eleven: favourite thing about

Fall? I just love being cozy and it gives me really good excuse to do so. And

Shadowrun: Hong Kong Extended Edition Review | Cyberpunk Isometric Turn-Based RPG - Duration: 12:58.

Good mornin-afternoo-vening, chummers and welcome to the final episode of Shadowrun

September during which I'll be looking at the final title - as of yet - in the relatively

recent Shadowrun loose trilogy of games from Harebrained Schemes, this is Shadowrun: Hong

Kong Extended Edition.

A big part of the appeal of the Shadowrun games stems from how well they can create

a believable world.

Granted, a solid story and great gameplay will always be considerably more important,

but without a proper setting, the games would just boil down to a few turn-based combat

encounters with a bunch of reading stuffed in between them.

Placing the story and gameplay within a setting that can not only support them, but actually

tie them together, is of critical importance.

All I can say is that Harebrained Schemes managed a wonderful job at it.

You can almost smell the sea air mixed with garbage and hear some gaudily colored neons

buzzing and flickering in the background.

Everything looks as desolate, dingy and dangerous as it should be, an impression that is only

heightened by the very well-written text descriptions.

I have to mention upfront that in order to get the very most enjoyment out of the game's

story, you'll have to do a serious amount of reading, much more-so than during Dragonfall.

Now, I have nothing against it, I actually would love novelizations of both Dragonfall

and Hong Kong stories, maybe with each companion getting their own chapter, or several chapters,

or own books, but some might not have that particular affinity towards the written word

so as to enjoy the game on a purely narrative level as well as the turn-based combat one.

That being said, it is a major part of the game since Shadowrun Hong Kong isn't the

usual free-roaming RPG.

In fact, you're quite limited to the amount of locations that you can visit, NPCs that

you can interact with and in general, the things that you can do.

But as far as I'm concerned, I was so invested and focused on the story and on my companions

that I didn't really feel the need for the free-roaming options of an open world.

I just wanted to see what else I'll get to find out about them after each run, and

how the story would develop further.

That being said, exploring the maps in detail is very satisfactory since it will result

in finding items and NPCs, and sometimes even side quest-givers.

Compared with both its predecessors, the world you have at your disposal in Shadowrun: Hong

Kong seems a bit larger.

If I were to shortly describe the story, I'd have to say it's occasionally intense and

always engrossing.

Each mission, or run, being its own standalone story with unique characters and intrigue.

The way in which you choose to interact with each mission's specific characters will

dictate, to a certain degree, how that run plays out.

This is just as important as your party's make-up and your choices in approaching the

mission to begin with.

As far as general tips go, not being an asshole and trying to help people will usually result

in the most beneficial of results.

The story starts your character off being very, very fucked and requiring the help of

the underworld in order to survive and seek out the person who got you into this mess

to begin with.

It's a solid start, even though a basic, and one might say, a bit trope-ish, but on

the other hand, tropes exist for a reason, they work.

Once you look at all the games in succession - like I just did over the course of this

month - you notice how each one builds upon the accomplishments of the last.

While Dragonfall introduced very compelling companions with interesting individual stories,

Hong Kong goes further and makes the overarcing story the focus and places you at the middle

of it in a very interesting manner.

As opposed to the first two games, where the beginnings of the stories had to do with old

friends and then spun into much larger things, Hong Kong's introduction has a lot more

to do with family, your character's family to be exact, thus placing the player in a

completely different sort of relationship with the events that are taking place, because

as the game goes on, the developers manage to make things seem personal and private.

They manage this also by splicing in some disturbing dream sequences - relevant to the

plotline.

All the characters in the world seem to be having these sort of nightmares, but it was

a stroke of immersive genius to actually illustrate them for the player, as opposed to simply

telling you via a text description that you've just had a nightmare and then describe it.

Shadowrun Hong Kong brings some very interesting people that you can take with you on your

runs.

The great thing is that these are characters that have a story, but more importantly they

have a very personal history that you can choose to look into by talking to them after

each run.

Talking about one's past doesn't gel with the whole personality of being a shadowrunner

so they'll require some coaxing, but trust me when I say that once you start talking

to them, you'll be doubly interested in finishing a run.

On the one hand, there's the money and Karma rewards, and on the other, you get to talk

some more with your party about what happened in their past and as a result find out more

about them.

They're not exactly as interesting as those in Shadowrun Dragonfall were, but they're

pretty close.

Keep in mind though that I might be somewhat biased, since I found it easier to identify

to Dragonfall's characters since they are European, whilst the characters from Hong

Kong come from a completely different cultural background than mine.

But the characters in your party are not the only places where the game's writing excels,

the same can be said about the several NPCs that you'll either have to, or choose to,

interact with.

In the first camp there's your fixer - basically your manager, and a plethora of characters

relevant to each mission in particular, in the second category are all the various merchants

and random NPCs that don't really do anything.

They're just there to add to the overall story and most importantly to the atmosphere.

And saying this I'm referring to the three old men playing GO, but there are many others,

of course.

Going back to the difference in cultural background portrayed in Shadowrun: Hong Kong as opposed

to my own - I read an article after the game's initial release that explained a bit how the

simple introduction of the option to address your fixer with "aunty" - which might

seem a bit odd for most Westerners - showed in fact good knowledge of Chinese customs,

the term for "aunty" being considered both respectful and informal, considering

you're addressing a rather connected underworld actor.

And you'll find a lot of such touches throughout the game-world.

Another quite prominent part of the setting - and of the overall story - is also a specifically

Chinese one, the philosophical system of harmonizing one's environment to one's prosperous

existence, or feng shui.

While in our world, the concept is pretty much akin to and as real as magic, or belief

in deities in general; in the Awakened world of Shadowrun: Honk Kong, feng shui is actual

magic and its tenets are very real things that influence going ons in the world.

Lurking through the BBS forums is both interesting and entertaining and offers a quick glimpse

at an alternate version of the Internet.

Fuck bitching about movies or starting flame wars about which one is better: Marvel or

DC, poetry slams are the rebel outlet of the dystopian cyberpunk future.

There are also at least two, very funny, side-stories that you can follow through the BBS forums,

one of them having to do with a piece of software and the other with quite possibly the unluckiest

shadowrunning team ever.

The Matrix got seriously revamped, things look largely the same but everything is much

more detailed, brighter and considerably more dynamic.

The patrolling programs now have a cone of sight - which you can thankfully see, and

move on some very criss-crossing and intersecting routes.

You need to carefully navigate through the patrols, timing and positioning being key

to either not getting detected, or to getting detected as late in the hack as possible.

They made hacking somewhat challenging and even a bit nerve wracking, it's nothing

more complicated than remembering the correct order of a series of increasing numbers of

digits, but the fact that it all takes place on a timer makes the entire thing much more

involving.

Shadowrun: Hong Kong piles on loads of replay value, especially if we compare it to Shadowrun

Returns.

The main difference being that in Return's case, its replay value was all based on game

system and mechanics, whilst Hong Kong is worth a replay from a story standpoint as

well.

There are various places where you can make different decisions, especially when it comes

to your party make-up, which in turn will influence your play-style, so suffice to say

that Shadowrun Hong Kong has a metric fucktonne of replay value.

As far as the combat system and the classes go, what I said in my Shadowrun: Dragonfall

review is pretty much still valid, although I must say that Shadowrun Hong Kong seems

to be a bit better balanced, either because it increased the amount of HP or of abilities,

or both.

Regardless, when combined with the Matrix overhaul, the combat mechanics in Shadowrun:

Hong Kong are the best of all the three Shadowrun titles.

I like to consider myself one of the view video game reviewers who put particular accent

on a game's soundtrack.

Music and sounds are always an important part of atmosphere, especially when you have such

a thematic setting.

Shadowrun Hong Kong's soundtrack manages to blend the basics of the Shadowrun Returns

soundtrack with a completely different influence, one that is very Chinese in nature.

However, due to this influence, while it makes it work great when supporting the game, it

doesn't work as well when you listen to it on its own.

Whilst the Returns and Dragonfall soundtracks are still very much present on my phone and

I listen to them every now and then.

And since I'm reviewing the Extended Edition, I should also mention what makes it Extended.

You get a few more runs tacked on, after the end of the main storyline and I can say that

in general these runs are characterized by rather long combat encounters.

A couple of them are optional but I would suggest against skipping them since taking

them will only increases your play-time and also gives you access to more Karma points

and money to further upgrade your character.

Granted, only your character can continue growing, your companions will be stuck at

their last level of development, but you can still give them new weapons and whatnot.

There is also a developers commentary option available in the menu now as well, which you

can turn on and listen to that while you play.

I could go on for a bit longer going a bit more in depth with the game, story and characters

but i hope that my point has been made fairly well till now.

Shadowrun Hong Kong is a great RPG, it has an engrossing story, interesting characters

and comes with inherent replay value.

The gameplay mechanics have been fine tuned and polished, so much so, that I would actually

like to play the Shadowrun Returns and Shadowrun Dragonfall campaigns within Hong Kong's

engine.

I am curious what you gals and guys thought of Shadowrun Hong Kong, how does it stack

up in your opinion?

Also let me know of some other cyberpunk titles that you might want me to take a look at,

be they video games or tabletop ones.

Also open for suggestions in terms of books and comic books as well, just drop 'em down

in the comments.

And it's about time for some final thoughts on Shadowrun September and the Shadowrun series.

I started this look at the Shadowrun titles spurred on by the results of the Larian survey

which showed that many of the respondents have never played Shadowrun: Hong Kong nor

the first two Fallouts.

And while my friends from GamingHD have been talking about the Fallout series - and you'll

find links to their videos in the description, consider those companion videos to mine - I

focused on revisiting the Shadowrun series, to do my part in trying to convince as many

of you of how solid these games truly are.

And I also hope that the titles' steady increase in level of gameplay and story is

reflected in my videos as well.

Keep in mind that we start with a relatively simple murder mystery in Seattle, we then

switch over to Europe where we deal with some interesting philosophical and political subjects

- not to mention the most compelling characters in the entire series - to then end in Hong

Kong, where we're plunged into a more personal type of story, with arguably higher stakes

than the previous ones.

It's a trip around the Awakened world that could've been just for show, as long as

it stayed true to the basics of Shadowrun cyberpunk dystopia: megacorporations trying

to screw each other, magic, cybernetic implants, underworld power struggles and solid turn-based

combat.

But the settings in the Shadowrun games aren't there just to offer a splash of local colour,

they're an integral part of each game's story and characters, and that's one thing

that is very difficult to keep consistent, or double and triple down on, when making

a video game franchise.

But this is one major difference when said video game franchise is supported by its dedicated

community - through crowdfunding projects - instead of the subsequent games becoming

diluted or streamlined - or multiplayer being shoehorned in at a publisher's demand - so

as to make the games more mainstream palatable.

So make sure you support your favorite indie projects, that's where we're getting the

most amount of innovation and interesting gameplay and stories anyway.

CAN THE NSA USE TELEPATHY TO READ YOUR MIND & INVADE YOUR PRIVACY?

A TWEET FROM EDWARD SNOWDEN BEGS THE QUESTION

As most of you know, Edward Snowden is the former intelligence contractor who leaked

the NSA�s mass surveillance program and discovered some of the most solid evidence

for the existence of clandestine black budget operations.

But did we really need the leak in order to believe this?

Prior to his leaks, the issue was still considered a conspiracy theory by many, despite the fact

that there was still good evidence for these programs prior to Snowden�s revelations.

The United States has a history of government agencies existing in secret for years.

The NSA (National Security Agency) was founded in 1952, but its existence was hidden until

the mid 1960s.

Even more secretive is the National Reconnaissance Office, which was founded in 1960 but remained

completely secret for 30 years.

Today, there are still a number of issues that hold the stigma of �conspiracy theory,�

despite the fact that we have some very credible sources that have revealed some intriguing

facts, and one of these issues falls into the realm of parapsychology, the study of

phenomena ranging from mental telepathy, clairvoyance, to psychokinesis, remote viewing, and much

more.

Just imagine how useful those things would be to �spy� on people?

No doubt a great asset to the surveillance state if they are indeed real, which in my

opinion, a lot of evidence suggests they are.

A classic example comes from the U.S. government�s �Stargate� program, which lasted more

than 20 years.

The program was actually declassified about a decade ago and the results were published

in the journal Scientific Exploration.

The program studied various uses for parapsychology and extended human capacities, like telepathy,

but was terminated despite the fact that it was very successful with little to know explanation.

The program was run by intelligence agencies, like the CIA and NSA, in conjunction with

the Stanford Research Institute (SRI).

So, as you can see, this is not strange territory for intelligence agencies.

In fact, in 1976, before this program commenced, a presentation was given at the Institute

of Electrical & Electronics (IEEE) on a paper published by the institute on behalf of Doctors

Hal Puthoff and Russell Targ, two of the main scientists involved with project Stargate.

Even in 1975, the funding clients had agreed that this subtle perception channel existed

in both experienced and inexperienced individuals.

(Source, a lecture from Ingo Swann, one of 500 highly skilled participants within the

program).

The paper was titled �A Perceptual Channel For Information Transfer Over Kilometer Distances:

Historical Perspectives and Recent Research.� It presented scientific evidence for the existence

of a perceptual capacity channel whereby certain individuals are able to perceive and describe

remote data not perceivable to any known sense.

A CIA document titled �Chronology of Recent Interest in Exceptional Functions of The Human

Body in the People�s Republic of China� is also another great example of their interest.

In the document, it outlines the Chinese government�s interest in parapsychology (remote viewing,

telepathy, psychokinesis, etc.).

Here is another one titled �Research into Paranormal Ability To Break Through Spatial

Barriers� that touches upon the same thing.

This is elaborated on later in the article.

This particular document, which was declassified through a Freedom of Information Act request

(FOIA), outlines specific people with very special abilities and how they�ve been studied

by thousands of scientists and governments around the world for a very long time.

The document is on the CIA website, but only seems to be accessible from the Internet Archives,

a San Francisco�based nonprofit digital library with the stated mission of �universal

access to all knowledge.�

These facts were also outlined in a declassified U.S. Air Force report on teleportation, which

was made available through the Federation of American Scientists.

So, Where Does Snowden Come In?

On October 31st 2016, Edward Snowden retweeted a tweet from NYT Minus Context that said,

�Remember that people don�t have access to your secret thoughts and feelings.� His

tweet was a response to massive global surveillance, and the fact that nobody really has any privacy

anymore.

NWY Minus Context was trying to remind people that not everything can be under the watchful

eye of the NSA.

The thing that�s confusing is the fact that along with Snowden�s retweet, he responded

with, �Well, most people.� See below:

Now, Snowden could have simply been implying that the NSA is capable of collecting so much

data on so many people that they can determine your thoughts, your next move, how you think,

and what you feel.

They probably have systems and algorithms in place to make predictions about this based

on your online activity and more.

On the other hand, he could have also been implying that yes, these people do actually

have the ability to, if need be, read your mind.

When I saw this tweet, I was taken back to a lecture given by Ingo Swann, one of the

multiple main participants within the CIA�s Stargate program.

Swann was able to successfully describe and view a ring around Jupiter before scientists

had any idea that it existed.

This took place before the first ever flyby of Jupiter by NASA�s Pioneer 10 spacecraft,

which confirmed that the ring did actually exist.

The results were also published and declassified in advance of the ring�s discovery (source).

In the lecture, Swann describes some of the remote viewing exercises that went on during

the program, and, along with remote viewing (the ability of individuals to describe a

remote geographical location up to several hundred thousand kilometres away from their

physical location) came the concepts of precognition and the ability to perceive what another individual

at a remote location, is thinking.

He stated that, when those concepts came into play, the �men in suits� came in and shut

the program down.

These concepts would indeed be the biggest threats to government secrecy that the world

has ever known.

Paul Smith, a Ph.D. in philosophy and an Army Special Forces intelligence officer who was

also part of the program additionally details specific examples of precognition within the

remote viewing program, and that it worked multiple times.

He does so in his book, The Essential Guide To Remote Viewing: The Secret Military Perception

Skill Anyone Can Learn.

Interesting to think about, and interesting to ponder if Snowden is at all aware of these

programs.

The intelligence community is so compartmentalized that he most likely doesn�t have much information

on anything except for what he was working on.

Indian Red Scorpion His friends know him as Hottentotta tamulus.

You can call him Indian Red Scorpion, the Toxic Terror!

This Arthropoda, which can grow up to 3.5-inches long (90 mm), can be found skittering about

the lands of India, eastern Pakistan, the lowlands of Nepal, and, rarely, in Sri Lanka,

terrorizing anyone that crosses its path with a dangerous, bulbous stinger.

One sting from the Indian Red Scorpion can lead to a plethora of uncomfortable symptoms,

including vomiting, cyanosis, shortness of breath, cardiac dysrhythmia, shock, hypertension,

priapism, loss of consciousness, and death.

In clinical studies, the mortality rate of envenomation has been reported anywhere between

8% and 40%.

Funnel-Web Spider Though the venom from the Australian funnel-web

spider was recently linked to the possible prevention of brain damage from strokes, it's

ill-advised to run out and give one of these Atracinae a hug.

Thanks to the introduction of an anti-venom, the death rate from envenomation has dropped

drastically, but it's still best to avoid their path.

While you may not die, a bite from the funnel-web can cause sweating, twitching, elevated heart

rate and blood pressure, vomiting, confusion, metabolic acidosis, hypertension, unconsciousness,

and shortness of breath.

It's no picnic, which is why the male funnel-web replaced the Brazilian wandering spider as

the most dangerous arachnid.

Boomslang Though its name is quirky and fun to say,

the venomous boomslang from Sub-Saharan Africa is far less enjoyable than its moniker.

It is one of few members of the Colubridae family that is harmful to humans, thanks to

its larger fangs and venom glands.

While it's common for venom to attack the nervous and respiratory systems, that of the

boomslang is a hemotoxin that impedes the coagulation of blood in its victim.

Along with a headache, sleepiness, and nausea, a boomslang bite can cause hemorrhaging in

vital parts of the body.

Even with the administration of an anti-venom, it's possible that a patient may require

a complete blood transfusion to survive the bite.

Coastal Taipan Known for being the world's sixth most venomous

snake, the coastal taipan or common taipan carries an unpleasant dose of taicatoxin,

or a neurotoxin that hinders the ability of blood to clot.

Within minutes of being bitten, victims can experience convulsions, internal bleeding,

nausea and vomiting, deterioration of muscle, and kidney failure, all leading to death within

30 minutes to 2 1/2 hours.

There is no surviving the bite of the coastal taipan if left untreated, as it delivers a

dosage 1,000x the amount needed to kill the average adult human.

Up until 1956, when an anti-venom was introduced by the Commonwealth Serum Laboratories, anyone

bitten by a common taipan likely prepared for an uncomfortable death.

Cone Snail Most of us know snails as a delicious cuisine

but the people of the Western Indo-Pacific region, the Cape coast of South Africa, the

Mediterranean, and even southern California may recognize snails as a troubling, albeit

beautiful, predatory mollusk capable of envenoming and killing humans.

The most predominant feature of the cone snail is its outer shell, which is attractive enough

to be sought for jewelry or collection.

Shell collectors heed caution, however, as the harpoon-like sting of this snail can lead

to excruciating pain, paralysis, and respiratory failure.

On the plus side, the snail's venom has been implemented in trials for the treatment

of Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, and epilepsy.

Irukandji Jellyfish Ranging from a few centimeters to one meter

in length (1 inch to 3 feet) and 4 mm wide, the Irukandji jellyfish from Australia's

eastern coast may be the tiniest creature to grace this list.

Despite its size, the Irukandji is best known for having its own syndrome.

A sting from this oceanic critter's tentacles leads to muscle cramps, severe pain in the

back and kidneys, burning skin, vomiting, and increased heart rate.

Amidst all this, the venom can also lead to death, but typically results in psychological

alterations, which may make an otherwise happy person feel morose.

The death count attributed to the Irukandji is skewed as it's unclear how many are misattributed

to other incidents.

Dubois Sea Snake Aipysurus duboisii, or the Dubois' sea snake

is endemic to Papua New Guinea, New Caledonia, and, of course, the coastal regions of Australia.

Found in depths of around 262 feet (80 meters) in coral reefs, you're unlikely to happen

across this slithery serpent on land, making it easier to avoid the unpleasant effects

on the nervous system from a bite of this otherwise docile creature.

In lab tests, the venom of this sea snake killed mice with an injection of only .44

mg/kg of the rodent's body weight, earning it the title of the most venomous sea snake

and second most venomous snake in the world behind… well, you'll see.

Blue-Ringed Octopus A favorite amongst the Archive team, the blue-ringed

octopus is a stunning creature – both visually and physically.

While the coloring of the octopus makes it look like a docile creature, its venomous

bite distributes a tetrodotoxin vital in the tiny creature's survival and feeding.

This 8-inch (20 cm) Octopoda carries enough venom to kill 26 adults as even the tiniest

of nips can cause total body paralysis.

It's fairly easy to not tick off this eight-tentacled wonder, but in case you need a warning, the

blue-ringed octopus is known to change its color to bright yellow and flash its blue

rings when threatened.

Inland Taipan Snake If you thought the coastal taipan was a beast,

let us introduce you to its land-based cousin, the inland taipan.

Just one bite from this east-Australian terror is estimated to pack enough venom to kill

100 adult males or over 250,000 mice!

As the inland taipan is indigenous to remote regions, it hasn't been connected to many

deaths, but it would take only 45 minutes from envenomation for a grown person to perish.

The taipan's cocktail of neurotoxins, hemotoxins, nephrotoxins and mycotoxins can lead to multi-organ

failure preceded by dizziness, diarrhea, vomiting, and convulsions.

Box Jellyfish Harmless and quite squishy looking, the box

jellyfish, or sea wasp, sports 15 tentacles, each reaching upwards of 10 feet long (3 meters)

and equipped with 5,000 stinging cells.

The most fatal of the box jellyfish species is the Chironex fleckeri, which carries a

venom potent enough to kill a grown adult within a few minutes.

Once envenomed, the jellyfish's prey may suffer from nervous system damage and, if

not treated right away, can go into cardiac arrest.

Scroll down to the list of sources

then click Notifications.

At the top of this report you can see your high-level number of views

and watch time that came from notifications for this time period.

The graph breaks down the notification traffic per day

between app notifications and email updates.

Below the graph is the breakdown between the app notifications and email updates.

Keep in mind these numbers do not directly correlate with device types.

Click More then choose device type to see this breakdown.

After all, tablets and some computers have app notifications

and some users get their email notifications on a mobile phone or tablet.

Next, if you click Geography, you can see where your notification traffic is coming from.

On our channel this quarter

15% of the notification traffic is coming from the United States.

If you click More then Translation use

you can see how much of your notification traffic

comes from users who viewed the original language that you uploaded

versus those who viewed the translation.

If you want to view the traffic from one video in particular

simply type the name into the search bar.

This information can be very helpful

if you're testing different launch times to see how each video's notifications perform.
