Hi I'm Yo and welcome to my brand new YouTube channel. So in today's video I

want to talk about starting a YouTube channel in the middle of moving. Really? I

couldn't have chosen a better time? Currently packing up all my belongings.

Also, yeah, need to think about looking for work. A lot going on, and I just

happened to choose the best, or the busiest time to start a YouTube

channel. If you watched vlog 1, one of my goals was to do 3 videos a week. Because

3 is the magic number, if you didn't know. I hadn't even edited one video, let

alone knowing how much work goes into editing down 3 videos. At the moment I

spend a lot of time saying um during my videos, I spend a lot of time staring

into space wondering what I'm gonna say next. So I have to edit all that out as well.

So yeah, a lot of editing at the moment. I'm hoping as I get going with this,

won't take as much editing. And I might not always be able to do videos with

nice lighting, sometimes it might just have to be one in my pyjamas. So yeah, we

might have to have a little, you and me might have to have a little chat my

pyjamas. Three videos a week, really? What was I thinking? I have been doing so

much editing that all of across here is starting to ache. I've been hitting

the ibuprofen and painkillers just so that I can carry on editing. Which brings

me onto a common household saying, Yo plan equals no plan. I don't fully plan

things that I do, because I think sometimes if you were to fully think about

everything and plan everything, you'd never do anything. So, well that's my motto anyway.

And I want to say a big thank you too. Thank you, thank you for

watching me. Thank you for the support. If you enjoy watching my videos, all I

can say is, is. I'm also getting used to this mic. Hopefully it's not rustling so much.

The first time I used the mic there was quite a lot of rustling sound. I was

putting my hand over the mic, which I nearly just did then and I stopped

myself. See I'm learning, I'm learning. Hopefully

I'll get better at this, and quicker at this. Yeah, I definitely need to get

quicker because. Yeah, I can't keep up the three videos a week if I keep

taking as long as I do to make them. So yes, I wanted to thank you from the

bottom of my heart. A big, big thank you for the love and support. So just a short

little video this week, because because yeah I'm in the middle of moving. We've

got a long eight hour drive. Well, Mr. Fiance's got a long

eight hour drive. I can drive. I have a piece of paper, a license that says, that

allows me to drive legally. Whether I can drive or not, that's that's debatable.

Those that have sat in my car will say no. But the law says I can drive, so.

But anyway, he's doing all the driving because I haven't driven in two years.

Whilst we've been up in Edinburgh we've lived right in the centre of town so

there's been no need for a car. And it's like I've forgotten how to drive.

Last time we hired a car we sat in it and he said to me can you just park that

over there? And I just looked at him like, no, no I cannot park that because I've

forgotten how to drive. Yeah, so I'm sure once I get back down south and we get a car again

and all of that, it won't take me too long to get used to being back on the

road. Watch out road! I don't think you're ready for me. So yeah, if you see me

driving, make sure you try and, if you can get into the furthest lane

away from me. I highly advise doing that. So yeah I think, I think that's all I'm

I can say that I'm accustomed to all the comments about me.

I went home after a good show last night

and I uploaded the show to my YouTube channel.

Of course, I did not expect all comments to be positive.

But I really wonder.

What is the rationale of posting hateful words on the Internet to a man you don't know?

I started the stand-up in 2004.

I was 19 years old.

Usually there is a paper in my pocket where my ideas are written.

I imagine what my stories will be before going out on stage.

I think about how I should use my voice.

I rehearse it everywhere and every hour.

Most of the places I perform stand up are on this street.

So far, my experience has shown that

love breeds love, lies breed lies, and hate breeds hate.

Hate grows when you respond with hate to hate.

I usually respond with love and respect.

I always get love and respect back.

It seems like a passive action.

But it is actually an active and effective action.

Love breeds love.

It really does.

I think productive people have no problems with criticism.

Of course, there will be people who love us, and those who don't.

Some people will love the job we do. Some people will not.

This is normal.

But the sad thing is

hateful comments that become insults.

Being destructive rather than constructive.

I think empathy will save us.
