It's really good, really good. I'm really happy

The teachers are super nice, they explain everything many times

Last year, the weekly courses focused mainly on speaking,

so you felt close to the teachers

and as if you knew everyone.

Now we do more grammar, but it's great!

The teachers are friendly

and you have people from many different nationalities, so you learn about Japan

but also about other countries, and that's pretty interesting.

Right now I'm really happy.

The teachers are great. They get involved with you, try to help you with any problem you might have.

They're aware of language barriers and that we don't know proper Japanese. I started from the lower level,

and expressing ourselves in a completely different language

needs a lot of understanding.

For now, I'm really happy with both the location and the teachers.

I've only been here for two months, but from what I have seen I like the school

I really like the teachers

Besides being good at teaching,

I think they are lovely people, they are very nice

and they care about their students

And even in two months I can see some improvement in my Japanese

When I arrived here I could barely talk despite I was already studying in Spain.

Now I can somehow talk, and well, that's already a progress, yes.

So I came through Go! Go! Nihon's service and among the schools that they have

this one was the one that fitted my requirements

About the intensity, about the location

Because I have already been to Shinjuku, Shibuya, so I wanted to try a new district of Tokyo

Which is why I decided to choose this school

Akihabara, Ueno...

The Ueno park is great

And in Akihabara, all the stores

Yeah, it's good

If your dream is to go to Japan,

don't give up and just go.

Your experience here will be fantastic

And you will enjoy every second even if it's a short stay

You don't have to wait to fulfil your dreams

I, for example, always wanted to come to study in Japan.

You always get scared by that:

It's really far, the language, the people

but if you really like it you have to try it. To see for yourself how it is, and then decide.

You don't have to be afraid,

you have to do what you want within your possibilities

There's really nothing to fear. If you want to go, just go and see what it's like.

Hi everyone.

Today I am showing you some DIYs that you can make if you're a feminist and you want

the world to know it.

I'm just going to talk over the DIY about some stuff I've been thinking about lately.

I'll be honest, I was really nervous to make this video because I feel like anytime

you even say the world feminist on the internet, you get all these people being like "well,

actually" and getting very offended by the idea that women, men, and nonbinary people

should be treated equally.

But that's not a reason to stay silent and the way the world is right now, it's more

important than ever to speak up.

I'll be honest, I enjoy having my little corner of the internet be a kind of happy,

neutral zone where you can relax and look at pretty DIYs and not worry about the latest

thing that we're all freaking out about.

And I do think it is important to have spaces where you can disconnect and not be working

all the time, because that's a recipe for burning out.

But it's also important to not just retreat to those spaces all the time just because

you're so overwhelmed by what's going on in the real world.

This overwhelm is definitely something I've struggled with - it seems like there's so

much to care about and work on and speak up about - from LGBT rights, to healthcare reform,

to gun violence, to racism and police violence, to sexism and violence against women, to diversity

in our media, to cruelty-free beauty supplies, to poverty and food deserts, not to mention

everything that's coming out of Washington DC where it seems like every day there's

a new story that would have been a huge scandal for months for any other president but now

it's like nothing can surprise us anymore.

But you just have to pick something and try to help, because while nobody can fix everything,

you can make a difference with some things.

If you have time, volunteer in your community.

If you have money, donate to causes that you believe in - I have monthly donations to Planned

Parenthood, the National Center for Transgender Equality, and a few others.

If you have a few extra dollars, just setting up a recurring monthly donation to the causes

that you believe in are a really great way to help and you honestly don't even have

to think about it.

So while I do love how these DIYs came out, it's important to actually do the work.

By all means, wear a Nasty Woman shirt, but do it while you call your representatives,

especially if they're passing legislature that you don't agree with.

Make sure that you're registered to vote and that you actually go out and vote, not

just every four years, but for the midterms and for local elections too.

If you're too young to vote, help your family and friends get registered, do research for

them so they know who to vote for based on their beliefs, or volunteer for a local candidate.

Now, I also wanted to talk about, as a media creator, I've been thinking a lot about

media representation.

I was born an able-bodied white woman with so much privilege, so I think sometimes it's

easier for my voice to be heard than others who don't have the means to broadcast it

or who don't have an audience who's listening.

But that doesn't mean that what I'm saying is any more important than them, in fact what

they have to say is probably way more important than any of this.

But since I do have an audience, I've tried to make some changes in the way that I speak.

For example, I've tried to become conscious of gendered language and I've tried to stop

using gendered language in my DIY videos.

So instead of saying a craft would look good in a girl's room, I might say it would look

great in a kid's room.

Or instead of saying any teenage girl would love this, saying any teenager would love

this.

And I know there are some people out there, probably some of them who are watching this

video right now who think the whole social justice movement is ridiculous and that people

are too sensitive now and we have to police everything that we're saying.

And yes, some people go too far with it, as with anything, but in general I think erring

on the side of inclusion and thoughtfulness can only be a good thing, especially when

it's something as simple as changing the words that you use which doesn't cost a

thing and can empower others who you don't even know are listening.

But of course the most important thing of all is to listen to and raise up the voices

of people who have first-hand experience with the issues they're speaking about.

So I'm going to put some links to people's channels that I really admire down below,

people who can speak about the real issues way better than I can.

And above all I want to remind you of what Mr. Rogers said - always look for the helpers.

It's so easy to get really discouraged and pessimistic about the state of the world,

but remember that there are always people who are trying to do good and trying to help,

and I like to think that those people far outnumber everyone else.
