I am freaking shook! And if you aren't...pshhh I don't know...

What up guys? Ashley Elizabeth here with

AEHM artistry and today we are testing that super viral false lash hack! Which

is taking really cheap fake lashes and seeing if we can turn them into those

luxurious $20-$40 dollar lashes, that you just don't always want to dish out the

money for! So let's grab our spoolie, grab our lashes, and let's put it to the

test!

*Intro Music*

Now I originally saw this lash hack on Facebook. It is from a girl who's a

makeup artist named... I'm so sorry if I don't pronounce this right, but Paloma Garcia.

She takes the spoolie and scrub scrub scrubs the lashes to loosen it. And it

looks like, in the pictures, it takes them from straight plasticky looking lashes to

those beautiful faux mink lashes that we all just love. I picked up two different

sets because I couldn't find a set that looked exactly like hers. I will zoom in

to show you. So those right there. They're really thick in the middle and then they

have the flutters that come out. So I looked everywhere, and I can usually find

those pretty cheap at Daiso or Walmart or whatever, but I couldn't find

them! But I did go to Daiso...Daiso...however you say that. It's at $1.50

Japanese store and I found these ones. They're actually super cute. See this one

is in the number b03, in case you're interested. And then this is the Elf

natural lash kit, it says 1713 is the style I believe. Now both of these are

cruelty free because they are not made from animal fur or anything. They are

synthetic. They are made from...this ones polyester and this one is...also

polyester. This one does contain eyelash glue but I'm gonna use my regular duo

glue. There was some other Daiso ones that looked closer to the picture but

they came with eyelash glue. And I couldn't find out whether or not that

glue was tested on animals, so I had to opt for this set because I am a cruelty

free Channel. And elf products are cruelty free. So both are inexpensive. This

one retailed for a $1.50, this one retailed for $2. So let's see if we can

take these $1-$2 lashes all the way to $20 and $40

luxurious lashes. Now starting with the elf one right here. So let's try

these. I hope I don't ruin them. I've actually never tried any of elf lashes

before, so this'll be interesting. A little try on sesh. So she just scrubs it, like it

seems really intimidating and daunting but...oh my gosh!

It's working!

Look at...look at the difference right there! That is...that is

crazy.

Let's just go to town on these right now. Wow.

It is shedding a couple little

lashes here and there. But not awful. Now Elf did have some fluttery looking lashes

that I've never seen. They're really pretty, but they were five dollars.

So if you can make these look like that, for more than half the price, then hey!

Thats a pretty cool hack this girl figured out!

Oh my goodness. And then let's check out the other set....

So this is the set from

Daiso... so sorry. I'm so sorry I don't know how to pronounce it but I actually

really like these. I've worn some from them before and they were pretty good,

but I had complaints about the band. But this band, if you do notice, is very clear

very similar to an Ardell band. But I don't really know until I wear it,

right? So let's go ahead and give a little scrub-a-dub-dub. These ones don't

want to stay on the carton as much. Those Elf ones were really really glued

down, so they weren't having any problems lifting out of its carton.

This one isn't quite doing it as much.

Be aggressive!

BE BE AGGRESSIVE! HEY!

Ok...it's starting to work. So this is what it

looks like so far scrubbing. Not too different, but less plasticky looking. I'm

gonna finish giving these little guys a scrub-a-dub-dub and then we'll pop

them on my lashes. And yes, I'LL WEAR two different sets. One right here, one

right there, and we will compare...and see how they fare!

I'm just rhyming today. I'm a rhyming... Lyman...that's NOT a thing...

Okay, so these are

them all scrubbed out. I'll show you the Elf up close. So really, pretty really

fluttery. They are a little bit uneven but they're they're totally different

lashes now. That is insane. And then here are the Daiso ones. They're a little bit

different, they definitely look more realistic now, they don't have that

plastic feel. So, what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna cut these off-camera make

sure that they fit and I will apply them right here and we will see how they

actually hold up with the band and everything. Alright, zoomed up all nice,

close, and personal. Up close and personal... what am I talking about?

I totally mess up sayings all the time. This is gonna be the *DAISO* side. I have the

glue on there, so I'm just letting it dry. While I was trimming them, yes the band

is almost identical to like the Ardells, which I love that band.

The elf ones though, you guys, first of all it's like two lashes long. These

lashes are so long, I had to cut so much off, it's insane. And the band is super

flexible. So, although I like the look of the elf ones better...I'm really scared

about how they're gonna apply. But enough talking let's freaking apply them!

Yeah, pretty wispy, cool. All right let's pop on the Elf.

Look at how weird this lash is.

Like you stretch it out or curve it. It is so freaking bendy, it's so bizarre.

Wish me luck.

Wow so those are the two, side by side. I'm gonna go grab some mascara pop that

on real quick and then show you how I would normally wear them. Alright, so

that is with the two sides. Mascara and everything applied. Let me know in the

comments below which side you prefer. It''s kind of a toss-up to me. Each side

has pros and cons, but overall yeah...this definitely made the lashes feel more

luxurious! The only thing I have to say is you probably won't get as many wears

out of them, as a more expensive lashes/ So, with the you know higher-end $240-$40 ones,

you're supposed to get a long long use out of them. I'm not even quite sure. I

don't even own a pair that's $40. I've never tried them but they do look really

thick and sturdy. Actually like the look of the really fluttery elf side. I think

it's really cool, however that band is super annoying. And I feel like I can

only get maybe two uses out of the lash. If I'm lucky.

However it's $2.00! But I can definitely see the band on the inner corner and it

feels like it might lift. So for that reason, I wouldn't use the elf ones again.

I would find another invisible band like this, or I would use these Daiso ones! If

I found another style. I do like this style for certain makeup looks, maybe

it's the look that I'm wearing right now that I don't like it, but I love the band

on this. This feels like an Ardell lash. Ardell lashes, which are what? $4-$6

dollars. Definitely it's the same and it's only a $1.50. So let me know in

the comments below if you are gonna try this hack, if it is worth it to to give

it a shot! Because you know what? It's a pretty good freakin hack! So good job

Facebook and some of like the blurred or the black pop culture groups and I

talking about black heart I'm not talking about the uber exclusive Amex

black card I'm talking about the fictitious black card that all black

people are born with and is constantly under threat of being taken away if we

aren't being or acting black enough now obviously most of this is ridiculous and

a lot of it is based on stereotypes and it's all in jest but even so no one

wants to meet the same fate as dr. ben Carson or say stacey dash who have both

been smooth voted off the island and now there's even a card game to play you can

revoke the black cards of your friends and family and loved ones from the

comfort of your own home with this game buy cards for all people you can go to

cards for all people calm and purchase it again this isn't really a plug it's

just a fun game to play but it can get pretty intense much like a game of

Monopoly that has been being played since like 2:00 a.m. or playing in

spades with your uncle Chauncey in them so if you're on Camille's corner it is

confession time here are the top five things that will get my black card

revoked number five I know and love more New Kids on the Block songs then I do

Tupac songs I mean there's probably like three Tupac songs that are

in heavy rotation on my ipod and think the rest of them are probably ones when

he was with Digital Underground number four

I can barely cornrow hair and it doesn't make any sense my mom and all of my

aunts are really good at it and it's kind of frustrating it makes me a little

bit sad because the braids are just like real sad they're like quitters they're

not tied it out for I don't know number three I hated love Jones I just saw it

for the first time last year I even bought it sight unseen because everybody

talked about what a great movie it was and how important it was and what it

meant to them but I thought it was trash I mean maybe I just missed the mark

maybe I should have seen it back when it was you know when it first came out but

90s and maybe would have meant something to me in a different place in my life a

different time nope it was just a trash moving number two I don't know what trap

music is and no one can really explain it to me or even give me like a clear

example and number one Oh J did it or at least he paid someone to do it okay that

How To STOP CURSING So Much (Use The Switch Trick) - Duration: 4:57.

Heya playa, do you say the words F---, S---, C----, A--, and, B---- a lot?

Well, that's the question that Jacob asked me when he said "I got into the bad habit

of swearing and I want to stop.

Can you please give me some tips on how to stop swearing?".

Don't worry Jacob, we all kind of fall into this rut but I do have a few practical tips

that you can put into play to help you stop swearing.

For those of you that are new here, my name is Josh and every single Monday through Friday

I make videos sharing tips, ideas and stories teaching you how to be your best self and

today I want to dive deeper into the idea of cursing.

Why do we do it so much and how do we make ourselves stop?

The interesting thing about cursing is that we generally tend to pick up the usage of

certain words because we hear them so often and so frequently.

I mean when you really think about it, curses are just words.

They don't really have any actual power to them.

If I were to say a curse to you in a completely different language that you didn't know, would

you be offended by it?

Most likely you wouldn't care because that word has no real meaning to you.

It only gains a meaning when you're able to attach it to language that you already understand.

So for many, there are a few different key places that people tend to pick up the specific

curse words that they use.

Sometimes it can be from your family, or your friends or from the media that you watch or

just from life in general.

So if you feel like your parents and siblings are some of the major influences as to why

you curse, you might want to institute some type of swear jar in your house.

Every time you end up swearing, put five or ten cents into that jar.

Now here's the thing, no one else in your house may choose to abide by these rules but

setting it up and you abiding by it, at least you're making the effort to curb yourself

or at least to be aware of when you're cursing.

Now hopefully your parents get on board with this but sometimes adults find it a lot harder

because the way that they speak is so baked into how they are.

So because you're young, you can actually start making that difference early on.

For most of you though, I would assume that the environment that normalizes cursing the

most would be around your friends and at school.

People in school and your friends just don't have a reason to stop doing it so why would

they?

Sadly, I don't think the swear jar method would really work with your friends.

You're gonna need to find another alternative to help curb their behavior and to curb your

own.

Now for this, there is a trick that you can use because one of my friends instituted it

for himself and was actually able to change the way that he spoke.

And that's simply to find replacement words for the curses that you use.

For one of my friends, the word he had gotten so accustomed to using, and I'm only going

to use it here for context purposes is the word "faggot".

He would call everyone that word, he would use it at the end of his sentences.

It just became so natural and part of his language but he knew he wanted to change that.

Not only did he feel like one day he was going to use that word with the wrong person and

get punched in the face, he also knew that it just wasn't a nice word and a good thing

to say.

So the replacement word that he found was the word "sir".

It is a pretty weird transition to go from saying that F word to the word "sir".

I started to hear him say things like "yo what up sir?", "How you doing sir?", "Man,

you're such a sir".

And I think the reason why it was such an effective change was because not only did

he tell us he was going to do it but, by making such a drastic word change he was able to

kind of mentally prepare himself whenever he said it.

He became super aware of how often he would say that word without even thinking about

it, but now that he said the word "sir", he realized he said it way too often and he just

found it ridiculous so he eventually just dropped the whole thing altogether.

And that was the crazy thing, he stopped cursing as much despite the fact that all of our friends

continued to curse in the same way.

He was able to become more aware of saying that word and hearing that word from other

people, and that's how he prevented himself from saying it.

So for you, that curse word might be anything else but I would take the same strategy here,

try to replace that word in your mind and be hyper-aware of whenever you hear it and

whenever you say it so you can really make that change.

One place you can't control it though is if you're constantly hearing it in things like

movies or tv shows, those are places you're just going to have to deal with it but if

you're hyper-aware of whenever you're using it, you'll be more sensitive to how often

you curse and to what you actually say.

fit in.

"How could you paint that beautiful furniture ?!"

The fan on this one is really sad

and it's very boring

Plus, I want this desk in here

and it does not fit in as it looks right now

Therefore I will repaint it!

And I will do it very, very easily.

I'll just wash this off

so I get rid of any grease that could be on the surface

not very exact, because I will still want a worn look on this later on

(surprise!) Haha

And then I'll just paint it all along with Annie Sloan's Chalk paint

I will choose the color Graphite

... Graphite ...?

I will create a worn look, and then

I will use wax to seal the paint

And when I apply the wax,

(I want a little uneven look, I do not want it like

completely even in color)

so I will actually dip my wax brush

every other time in transparent wax and every other time in black wax

Then I get a bit cool with changes in the tone

I'm getting started!

And now, because I'm in the apartment

This is the first Kei truck I've driven in 20 years or more.
