RAYFIELD: This bill is a bill that ensures

that every voice in Oregon will matter

and it does that by giving power to small donors

and reducing the need for candidates to rely on

large moneyed interests or wealthy special interests.

It does this by

creating a Small Donor match program.

If a candidate agrees not to accept contributions

larger than $250, those contributions will be matched 6-1,

under this program.

In doing so, it makes ordinary Oregonians as powerful as large moneyed interests.

Really the ideals of this, is to lessen the impact of money in politics.

It breaks down the barriers to actually run for office.

It actually encourages candidates to reach out

into their communities, and this has been proven

in other districts that have done this, in New York..

where the diverse group of

electors, people in the community that have participated in elections.

and by having the candidate reach out, in that way,

it actually increases engagement into the process.

We can see this in maps, in these other districts that are using this,

It is phenomenal.

It's great to get that civic engagement.

..and we can go through and look at some of those other districts.

[What] we see is more diverse candidates running for office,

and getting elected to office, and when our body as a state,

better reflects our population,

we're gonna get better policy coming out of here.

..and then quite frankly,

our local elected officials have better connections to their communities.

So all of those things provide an increased value

over the current way that our elections are being run.

FISHER: You know, we have thousands of members

we talk to people at their doorstep every day,

and I can say that money in politics is an issue that people really care about,

and they want to participate either as donors, or as candidates..

But they know, that either they won't be able to raise enough money to win,

or their $10 / $15 contribution won't make a difference.

It's really disempowering,

and small donor elections, I think,

would be a great way at empowering regular people

to participate in our democracy and balance our government.

RAYFIELD: I have a 6 year old who's in school.

I certainly would like to have [smaller] classroom sizes.

But, I also know my 6 year old [is] some day going to be 18,

20, 30 years old and operating in this state and in our country.

and I believe that [a] democracy,

that has an investment in increasing the voice of small donors,

over large, moneyed interests is a good thing,

and that is an investment in him,

and that is an investment in our country and our state,

and that is something that I just fundamentally believe.

TURRILL: Oregon has always been a leader

in creating a strong democracy,

and with small donor funded elections,

we will continue to be in the leadership in the country, on this issue.

BARRETO: What is the problem with

funding elections as we have been doing them?

TITUS: I appreciated your question, Rep.Barreto

about: "What is the problem?"

It's interesting to me to hear that.

I think maybe for some legislators,

You resign yourself to the system that you're working in,

and you learn to be successful in that.

So it may not be clear what the problem is.

But, to voters,

It's so clear that your question is almost stunning.

It's appalling to see so much money in our legislative system,

and whether it's just the appearance, or there's some reality to it.

It feels like our government, our representatives,

are bought and paid for, and are not really representative of us.

FISHER: We're here to support HB 4076

because in our view, it helps restore balance to Oregon's democracy.

I want to share some information from a report that we released recently.

So we pulled campaign finance data from 2016,

and found that there are just about 400 large political donors

So those 400 large donors

collectively gave around $9M

to candidates for State Office in Oregon,

and at the same time, there were 29,500 small donors

who collectively gave about $2.4M.

So what that means, is those 400 wealthy donors had nearly 4x

The ability to get the message out for their preferred candidate,

than all small donors combined in the entire state.

Any way you slice it, small donors and voices of everyday Oregonians

are being significantly drowned out,

by a very small set of wealthy donors.

RAYFIELD: Y'know a politician who's spending time,

and they know that "Person A"

could potentially give $10,000 to their campaign,

and "Person B", can only give $25.

How much time, do you think,

someone's gonna spend with the $10,000 donor,

versus the $25 donor?

There's these counterincentives that can go on,

in this type of world, and what we want to do,

is make sure that everybody is getting that equal access,

everybody's voice is being elevated to that same level.

TITUS: [What] we've heard from the candidates

who have run under both systems:

a small donor election system and a traditional election system,

[is] that they feel the difference. They feel like they're

able to spend more time with a broader set of constituents,

and so they're taking in more perspectives, rather than a narrow view,

and that that's beneficial to them in governing.

HERNANDEZ: I grew up in East Portland,

from an immigrant mom, low income.

Don't have wealth. Don't come from money.

So running for office, is a challenging thing,

because of how much money you have to raise

and what it takes to be a viable candidate,

and the amount of connections you must have in order to do so

and I think removing barriers, as much as we can,

is an important way to get average folk,

that come from the community, to be able to represent their community.

I think that this Small Donor Elections program will remove barriers,

for folks that have [a]

socioeconomic status like mine,

come from communities like mine,

and other communities that are underrepresented.

To have a fighting chance and truly be the voices of their community.

BARRETO: So would it bring a greater advantage to the

Republican Party or the Democrat Party?

RAYFIELD: I think it's really important to note

when you were talking about

does one party or another

have some advantage, in terms of money,

this isn't about advantages in terms of money.

This is [about] the type of money that people are taking,

and the type of money [that] I want our candidates,

The type of money that I want our politicians to be elected by,

is by small donors, not large moneyed interests,

and that's really what the core of this bill is about.

of Tour C.

11th of February, 2018.

Goodbye paradise.

(upbeat music)

Just arrived to Hidden Beach.

First stop, you can't see it because it's hidden.

Hidden Beach!

(splash)

(bubbles)

(underwater splash)

- How are you?

- How are you?

- We're going to the Hidden

- Okay so we gotta swim to the Hidden Beach.

And I'm not taking the drone up so you ain't get to see it

from the sky.

But look how many people there are, look.

So that's where we gotta swim to.

But check out the surroundings.

Wooooo!

I'll take you under water.

(upbeat music)

Okay so it's quite shallow you can kinda walk through this.

It's very rocky, I'll show you.

(upbeat music)

So that's where we've come from, where all those boats are.

And we're literally walking in between these rocks,

these cliffs, and it's quite shallow.

(upbeat music)

Have you been to this beach before?

It's very crowded here, very crowded.

Lots of people.

(upbeat music)

20 to 12; just walking back from Hidden Beach.

Absolutely beautiful, a lot of people though.

I want to point that out.

A lot of boats, look at all the boats.

Look at all these boats.

And all the people.

Really, really beautiful but you can walk in this water

and then you just need to swim for a little bit

to get to the boat.

This isn't too bad.

(upbeat music)

Look at how beautiful this is, check this out.

(people talking in the background)

Alright this is Star Beach.

And we have to pay 100 Pisos per person, which is not bad.

It's beautiful.

Ow!

(dramatic music)

(splashing water)

Beautiful, huh?

Just gonna go and visit Prince Joseph right now.

Prince Joseph!

(dramatic music)

Nido.

(laughs)

- [Isabella] That's good.

- El.

Okay.

Nido.

There we go.

- Here we go.

- Welcome to El Nido!

It is so hot here, so hot.

(dramatic music)

Even the 50 plus is melting off my skin.

Alright I'm on Star Beach right now

and about to launch the drone

to give you a nice ariel perspective of this place.

So let's switch over to the drone right now.

(dramatic music)

It is one o'clock in the afternoon, it is very, very hot.

And 'bout to have lunch on this island, Star Island.

And I hope you enjoyed the drone footage, just before.

It was incredible up there.

I had problems with that damn thing before I launched it.

It pisses me off sometimes.

The firmware needs to be update,

I know this is like geek talk and whatever,

but the firmware needed to be updated

and it wouldn't let me take of with the firmware not updated

and then the SD card failed and so anyway,

So I got it launched.

I hope you enjoyed that.

Had the Italian model, Isabella on the boat.

So she loves that, she loves those shots.

Instagram.

Anyways so we're on this beach 'bout to have lunch.

And yeah, see what the lunch is all about.

(upbeat music)

I just had lunch, it was quite good.

Just had some, bit of chicken and couple pieces of fruit

and that was it.

That was my lunch and just here in the, check this out.

This table and this shelter here is right on the ocean,

right on the beach.

How nice is that?

This is Star Beach, I think or Star Island.

But it's just the best, just the best.

So I'll turn you around

and you'll get to see the current views.

(upbeat music)

Isa!

(whistling)

Woooo!

- Hey!

Are you ready?

- I'm always ready, going snorkelling.

Going snorkelling.

(upbeat music)

We have the beach to ourselves.

There is nobody here.

Look at the colour and that drops right off.

Shallow and then it drops.

You see the wall?

How cool is that?

You see all those fish?

The school of fish?

- Yeah.

- Woohoo!

Wooo!

(yelling)

(upbeat music)

We're leaving, yeah?

- [Man] Yeah.

- Where you from?

- Morocco.

- Morocco say, "Hi!"

to all your Moroccan friends.

- Hello, guys.

- He's from Morocco and he's awesome.

And we're leaving Star Island now.

- Yeah.

- Bye!

(motor running)

So we're at the Secret Beach right now.

(people talking)

(boy laughing)

You gotta kiss it, you gotta kiss it.

You gotta kiss it.

Kiss.

(kissing)

(Brad and boy laughing)

There's another fish, look.

(Brad and boy laughing)

3:30 in the afternoon, everybody is snorkelling.

This man's fishing.

He's already caught one already, two.

Aw that doesn't count man.

That does not count, it's way too small.

Anyway, just chillin' here on the boat.

And might go fishing after this man.

Can I fish as well?

Can I do some fishing?

I'm fishing at the moment.

(laughing) Look it.

Look at all the fish, man.

I can't even catch one fucking fish.

(lots of laughter)

Look how many fish there are.

(laughing)

Oh!

(camera adjusting)

C'mon, there's like thousands of fish down there.

(upbeat music)

Fishing in the Philippines.

This is how you don't fish.

(upbeat music)

This man has caught two, I've caught zero.

(laughing)

Don't depend on me to catch your dinner tonight.

(upbeat music)

Alright, the final beach for the day before we go back

to El Nido.

Super tired and about to launch the drone into the air.

(dramatic music)

Almost five o'clock in the evening, super tired, big day,

lots of touring, lots of snorkelling, lots of island hopping.

Did you enjoy yourself?

- Yep.

- Are you tired?

- No. Let's go party now.

(laughing)

- God.

- I wanna dance.

(laughing)

- She just does not stop.

So I'm tired but I think I'll be fine once we get back

to El Nido, have a shower, I think we'll be fine.

Anyway that's it, end of Tour B.

(snapping) Tour C?

- [Isabella] C.

C, C, Tour C.

(snapping) And that's it.

(snapping)

Over and out.

3 Act Structure Is Not Screenwriting Religion by Andrew Horng - Duration: 1:50.

Film Courage: Do you think there's a story structure that professionals use?

Andrew Horng, Screenwriter: I think it's different for everybody.

I don't think there is one story structure that fits everything.

A lot of people talk about three-act structure, I kind of dog on it a little bit because I

think it really over-simplifies everything.

There are some books (that I won't name) that say that you need to have this happen

on this page and it's very strict.

I think that just as long as you have a main character that you for some reason really

care about and there is conflict present and that conflict escalates and keeps on escalating

and you're still engaged as an audience member, that's what the professional writers

use.

But in terms of one structure, I don't really believe that there is one out there.

Film Courage: Well I know in just watching BACK TO THE FUTURE and doing the script analysis

with you, different beats didn't seem like they were being met exactly when some of these

story structure experts say they should but it still works.

So I was just wondering what your thoughts are?

Andrew Horng: Yeah, whatever really helps you as a writer.

I mean I know BACK TO THE FUTURE it does fit into the three-act structure, but I would

just warn against some people…like some writers think it's like screenwriting religion.

And I would just say that there are plenty of films that don't fit three-act structure.

Too Faced Unicorn Palette Review and Swatches | Worth it or Not? - Duration: 10:51.

hey guys welcome back to my channel so today's video is going to be a review

and swatches on the new too faced life is a festival eyeshadow palette

this is from their new life's a festival collection if you want to see my

thoughts and the swatches and if I recommend it then just keep on watching

so let me just start off by saying that I was not excited about this collection

at all when I saw it online I actually remember saying I am NOT

going to buy it 1,000% I refuse to buy it well then I went in store and I saw

it and i swatched it and I was like maybe I'll buy it and then I did a

little bit of research and I saw that it was very requested online for reviews

swatches and looks so I was like you know what let me get it why the heck not

so I did and here we are today with the eyeshadow palette and it's obviously the

eyeshadow palette that I used to recreate this look I'll insert a picture

or video like I have been doing for the past videos and without further ado

let's just go ahead and get started this is the packaging the outside packaging

and when you open it oh and here's the back of it when you open

it comes with this little thing right here it says too faced life's a festival

how to glamour guide and it comes with one two three four looks for you to

recreate if you need a help and guidance honestly I will probably not be using

that much and this is the eyeshadow palette itself it's a cute little

rainbow with a unicorn on it I feel like it's very childish very kiddish but you

guys requested so I'm here I'm gonna pull it up on Ulta's website just

so that I can read you guys the claims and the formulas and the price and all

that stuff so it does retail for $42 and it comes with 13 shadows I'm reading

right here six of them are duo chrome two are mattes one is satin and four

are shimmers when you open up the palette this is what it looks like so it

does come with a mirror right there I don't think it's very practical because

of the shape and size of it but whatever I guess it's cute and this is what the

eyeshadows look like inside this is like a holographic background to it it's

really cute but again I feel like it's very kiddish just gonna go ahead and

swatch them I'm just gonna follow up your palette order and see what's up

and what I'll probably do like in my last videos and I'll do a swatch from here

and then I'll insert like a close-up of it so young and free is the bright pink

and it is a matte I did use this on my crease today it blended very easily I

didn't have issues with it or anything like that and yeah the next one is

rainbow life the shimmer shade this is a coral pink shimmery shade it is very

pretty I haven't used it I've swatched it a few times because every time I swatch it

I'm like oh but I haven't used it yet then we have sunset dream and this is a

orange shimmery shade with like a yellow undertone to it it's very pretty again

this is a shade that I haven't used but I keep just watching because I should be

using it then we have fun in the Sun I did use fun in the Sun today

this one is a duo chrome it's like a green with like a golden undertone shift

to it it's very pretty then we have fireflies and this I used

and this one is spot-on I freaking love this shade this is a shimmer shade and

this is like a lime olivey green it's very pretty it's like a green gold

very pretty it is again what I have on the center of my eyelid today and it was

super pigmented I had no issues with the pigmentation and I didn't even use my

finger I actually used a synthetic brush then

we have a funtasy instead of fantasy this is funtasy but this is a

satin shade and it's just like a purple I don't wanna say its deep because it's not

deep but it's like a bright deep purple if that makes any kind of sense this is

again I used it today and this is what I have in my inner and outer parts of the

eye and a little bit on the crease then we have dusk teal dawn and this is

another duochrome nope just kidding this is a shimmer and this is just like a

teal shimmer shade super pretty I haven't used it yet but it is very very

very pretty and pigmented I have had no issues with any of the shadows yet then

we have euphoric and this one is a duo chrome this is like a peachy golden

shade it's like a peach with the gold shift to it it's super pretty I did use

this a little tiny bit not much to where you can actually see anything but it is

very pretty then we have dessert vibes and I used this on the crease

today before I applied the pink and this is a matte brown shade perfect for the

crease perfect as a transition shade then we have beaming and beaming I use in my

inner corner today it is just what it says it is a beaming shade this again

another duochrome this is like a yellow white duo chrome shade it is gorgeous I

don't even know if you like the cameras doing it any justice on my eyeballs

today but it is super pigmented and bright and boom in your face and I

love everything about it then we have mystic rain and this one I applied on my

lower lash line over the funtasy shade just for like more shades on my eyes and

this is a duo chrome again this is like a purple with a blue shift

duo chrome shade super pretty and I love it then we have artist pass

and this is like a blue brown duo chrome shifty shade very pretty this one

I feel like I have so many shades off I actually feel like on my last eye shadow

palette review there was a shade that kind of looks similar to it and it's very

pretty and last but not least we have unicorn tears and this one is the

biggest shade in the pan or this is the biggest shade in the palette and this is

a duo chrome and this is an iridescent shade it's got like blue and

purple and maybe a little bit of pink it's super pretty and that one I put on

my brow bone but unfortunately you cannot see it because the lights you

just can't see anything with this lights on so now that we've talked about the

shades and I've shown you the shades I want to talk about the palette itself so

again this is a collection that I wasn't too impressed with when I saw it online

on trend mood on Instagram even on the Sephora or the ulta webiste but once I

saw it in store I was like it looks really pretty colors are awesome for

spring they're perfect for spring and summer I feel like I have everything

already in my collection but why not have it all in one palette

and you guys have to remember this is my job this is what I do I review things

for you guys it was requested online that I did a review on this so I'm doing

it and honestly I'm not disappointed at all that I purchased this palette I feel

like too faced palettes are very hit-or-miss with their limited edition

collections sometimes you get amazing shadows and

sometimes you get a very disappointing eyeshadows and I was honestly scared

of buying it and being disappointed I mean you can always return but I hate

returning because they have to throw it away and I just don't like that and I don't

know like I was very skeptical my husband was kind of like we're buying it

you're doing the video and end of story and I'm kind of sort of really glad that

he pushed me to it because I really do like it I said I feel like if you go to

music festivals I feel like if you like duo chrome looks if you like shimmery

looks if you are young I think you're gonna love this if you're older it just

depends on your taste for makeup I personally love it I'm keeping it I'm

not returning it and that's the end of the story

I really like it so much I feel like even though I could probably find every

single one of the shades in my collection it's nice to have it in just

one palette if I were to travel I would probably pack this and an all matte

eyeshadow palette and call it a day and I don't need to take any more eyeshadow

palettes it's very pigmented it does have a little bit of fall out but that's

just I mean it's whatever it's something that I can deal with I always do my

eyeshadow before I do the rest of my face anyway so I don't have too much of

a problem with that I do think it's worth it I will have it linked down

below down below wherever you guys can buy it if you guys have this palette let

me know your thoughts let me know if you liked it let me know if you want to get

it let me know if this review made you want to get it and I'm probably going to

be doing looks with it a lot honestly like a lot I really really really like

it and I don't think there's anything

really much to say other than I like it I feel like this is an eyeshadow palette

that you're gonna have to go in store and see for yourself if you like it swatch it

walk around think about it swatch it again and just

kind of see if you can see yourself using it because it can be overwhelming

because there's only two mattes but that can also be a good thing because you

could travel with it like I said and just pack an all matte eyeshadow palette

and you would be done but that concludes this video I think

it's worth it I think also though that you need to go and store it and see it

for yourself I don't want to say go get it and then

you be disappointed with it feel like this is gonna be a very hit-or-miss

palette some people are gonna love it some people are gonna I hate it I personally love it

and yeah thank you guys so much for watching please don't forget to give me

a thumbs up comment down below share with your friends and subscribe if you

haven't already and I will see you in my next one

BREAKING: Disturbing Dem Urgently Arrested At White House – Won't EVER See Him Again! - Duration: 4:22.

BREAKING: Disturbing Dem Urgently Arrested At White House – Won't EVER See Him Again!

For eight years, Democrats have gotten away with an incredible amount of debauchery, feeling

as is they were above the law since Barack Obama allowed it.

It's the end of that era with President Donald Trump in charge, who has come in and

cleaned house and shaped the place up.

However, every now and then a rat sneaks in and tries wreak havoc on our administration.

This is part of what just happened but was made worse by what this particularly rotten

Democrat did to one of Trump's female officials.

Capitol Police urgently arrested him on the spot and hauled him away from the White House

in handcuffs.

Not only was the public arrest humiliating, but so was what he did to earn it.

It's safe to say he probably won't be showing his face around the White House anytime

soon, if ever again, considering that even if he tries, there's no way Trump will allow

it.

It's no easy task to get through all the red tape and security clearance required to

work within such close proximity to the president, especially one who is the most controversial

Commanders-in-Chief our country has ever had.

He walks around every second of every day with a target on his back from lunatic leftists,

which leaves one to wonder how this physically violent Democrat operative was ever allowed

on the property in the first place.

The Interior Department appeared before the House Committee on Natural Resources to discuss

the department's 2019 budget this week.

A female Trump administration official was present for the budget hearing, whose name

was not released, as well as another unnamed individual who had only identified himself

as a reporter for American Bridge.

While many assumed the reporter was there to collect information regarding the meeting

to report on later, it turned out that he had a much more sinister and dangerous motive

in mind.

As soon as Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke had finished his testimony on the budget before

the committee, the American Bridge reporter charged toward him to attack, violently pushing

the female Trump official out of the way and down to the ground to get to Zinke, according

to what the Daily Caller learned of the details of what happened.

The physical assault victim is on the communications team for the department who was apparently

in the deranged Democrat staffer's way of doing what he was really there to do.

The communications director for the department was also shaken by the terrifying burst of

sudden rage, telling Politico that she was "greatly alarmed and extremely irate that

a female senior member of my DOI Communications team was physically assaulted today by a Democrat

staffer from the PAC American Bridge."

What makes this assault more salacious is that American Bridge is a George Soros-funded

outlet, founded by the billionaire globalist's good friend and apparent business partner,

David Brock. The Center for Responsive Politics reports that Soros dumped $2 million into

this PAC to keep it operating back in 2016 and clearly has a vested interest in it to

push his agenda.

Afterall, American Bridge's mission is to hold Republicans accountable, according to

the group's tagline.

Now, the out of control, violent, unnamed reporter is being held accountable for his

action.

Capitol Police took the deranged Democrat operative into custody on Thursday and transported

him to the Capitol Police department's headquarters where he was held for processing, according

to Politico's report on the incident.

Having proven himself as a violent threat, he shouldn't be allowed in any major government

buildings on Capitol Hill.

This attack is proof that unhinged leftists are completely incapable of civilly discussing

differences without resorting to desperate violent measures.

If "holding Republicans accountable" means that they can and will do so by any means

necessary, then any person belonging to the American Bridge PAC should be banned from

involvement in civil discourse.

This is now the third Democrat that Capitol Police have had to arrest in the last couple

months.

On two other unrelated occasions, Democrat lawmakers were arrested outside the capitol

for their individual immigration protests getting out of control and inciting violence.

There is a trend among the left and it's that they are unhinged, desperate for control,

and dangerous.

policy for fines to blizzards ambitions for the future of the league I'll leave

a link in the description box below to the full interview but you're just a few

of my takeaways from the article that I found really interesting in terms of

punishment severity we all know that Philadelphia fusion Sado was banned for

30 games after it was revealed that he was heavily involved in an account

boosting business in Korea in comparison with the disciplinary action taken last

week against AI mu silk thread tie wrong and xqc Sadow's ban seemed to be a bit

too harsh when asked about the severity of a boosting punishment Nan's are

stated boosting is one of those things where you are directly influencing in a

negative way the experience of thousands of other overwatch players Nan's are

also addressed questions about the upcoming stats page on the main

overwatch league site that has been pending since the start of the league

it's going to be pretty robust there's a lot there the

tons of datas at Nan's er we're trying to figure out what's the most important

stuff to show it's a new sport too so we're not exactly sure where all the

right stats are what we need to focus on what's the most meaningful what has the

most impact in winning or losing going hand in hand with stats and sports is of

course a fantasy league we have a basic fantasy league

thanks to Winston's lab but Nandor stated that his team currently has a

fantasy league in the works with one currently being run internally with the

stats still being worked on Nan's are said that a fantasy league is

something they want to launch only when they feel good about the product while

blizzards production team has been hard at work optimising the broadcast of the

league and producing shows like watch point the overwatch league team has been

quiet about the future of the league and how it plans to implement the city based

model and how this will expand when asked about what ambitions Blizzard has

beyond the city expansion plan Nan's are stated that the introduction of a city

based team system is where their main focus is at the moment quote I think

launching a league in multiple cities around the world and having that happen

is going to be an unprecedented thing that's where all of our focus is right

now that's the big thing we want to achieve getting great events running in

20 to 28 cities around the world will be really cool for fans and really cool for

eSports next up is some sponsorship news according to a report by the Sports

Business Journal Gillette brand known for their male hygiene products and the

slogan the best a man can get is reportedly set to finalize a sponsorship

deal with the Boston uprising they've been the naming rights holder at Kraft

owned Gillette Stadium in Foxboro since 2003 given how the Kraft Group are the

ones behind the Boston uprising franchise it seems natural for them to

become one of the team's first official sponsors Gillette has previously

invested two other areas the eSports industry with a major deal signed with

Team solomid and notable individuals like expec aid to help market their

brand to the eSports demographic and now here's action eSports Adam Malin with an

interview with supe following their 3-1 win over the Dallas fuel last week at

the overwatch League take it away Adam first of all Zuppa thank you so much for

taking the time to speak with me and congratulations on your win over Dallas

fuel that's got to feel really good tell me tell me how you're feeling taking

your second win of the season over a team that's a full of gusto

finally breaking the curse and we can start competing now and do

our best and thank some way so father Sims as well excellent

now even earlier this week you look really really good against Houston even

though you lost the match you guys were playing your hearts out tell me what's

what's gotten into you guys this stage what's what's up your game so much I

feel like we have been starting to fix those little mistakes we had and this is

a result even though we still have some mistakes we need to fix but it's looking

a lot better now a lot more consistent fantastic any final words to the mayhem

fans that have stuck by you through thick and thin I love you all thank you

thanks let's do but thank you so much for your time thank you thanks Adam and

now for something a little different even if you've never played Fortnight

you've probably seen it on Twitch or at least heard of the record-breaking

broadcast this month the games number one streamer ninja and the Canadian

musician Drake which brought in over 600,000 viewers in addition to helping

ninja sub count climbed to more the 186,000 shattering all previous records

and earning the player a sizable amount of cash so how much money has ninja

earned so far from his streaming career it's hard to say as donations are not

tracked in an interview with Forbes ninja confirmed he earns three dollars

and fifty cents USD for every $4.99 twitch subscription for a total of 186

thousand subscribers that's a whopping six hundred and fifty-one thousand

dollars u.s. per month judging by how game trends come and go we'll have to

see how long fortnight can stay at the top or if it will stabilize in viewers

similar to player unknowns battlegrounds on March 15th alone there have been five

million 128 thousand five hundred 2300 hours of the game watched on Twitch

that's around three point six times as much as its rival battle royale title

which clocked in around 1.4 million hours that day and with that that's all

How to Make a Tassel Banner | Sophie's World - Duration: 4:36.

hi I'm Sophie and welcome to my world today I'm gonna take those beautiful

tassels that I taught you how to make a couple videos back and we're gonna make

an amazing tassel banner to decorate your room or birthday party real simple

real easy and I'm gonna show you how to make it right now for this project

you'll need assorted tassels a tapestry needle yarn and scissors so first thing

you're gonna do is take your yarn and I'm gonna make this about 6 feet long

and just cut it off and loop it over your finger and just tie an end point so

I'm gonna tie this off by just wrapping it over around my finger and through to

make my little anchor point there you go you do that on just one side then thread

the other side the loose side through your tapestry needle now if you haven't

learned how to make tassels yet make sure you check out my other video that

tells you how to make tassels now these tassels I've made a little bit bigger

and a little bit longer these are actually believe four inch tassels and

they're made out of yarn so they're a little puffier than the ones that I

teach you how to make what you want to do is make a bunch of these ahead of

time and usually what I do is I have a little loop that you can hang off for

like a necklace or something but as you can see there's your tie off point and

the tie off point is all you need on this one so you can actually what I did

is took that loop and twisted it and just put it underneath there so that it

hid away okay you lay out your pattern I'm gonna go pink green blue pink green

blue pink green blue I like to lay it out ahead of time just so I don't forget

because this is very very easy but if you have them like sitting in a stack

it's easy to forget what one goes first second third so take your

needle and see where that hang tab tie around is just place your needle right

underneath it and thread it through do the same thing with the next one find

the tie off stick it underneath and just make sure you're getting just underneath

that and pull it through and same thing with the blue one and continue doing

this don't worry about placement right now cuz you have plenty of time to take

care of placement once you get it tied off there you go just keep finding that

little tie off slip underneath all the way to your last one

now once you get them all in there all you got to do is tie off another loop at

the other end so fold it over around your finger push it through so you got

your little hangtag and then just space out your tassels and this is best and

easiest when you actually have it hanging up because then you can just

space them out accordingly as you got it hung up and that's all there

is to making this super simple but super cute tassel banner and yarn comes in so

many great colors you're gonna have so much fun making these if you like this

craft make sure to give us a thumbs up and hey leave us a comment down below if

you've got any ideas for what you'd like to see to decorate your room and I'll

see if I can't come up with something fun from your ideas I love inspiration

comes from my audience for more great ideas check us out sophie-world.com

Day 8: Phi Phi Sunrise Sea Trip with Simba Sea Trips - Phuket, Thailand - Duration: 10:40.

Hi YouTube! It's peter from Los Gatos.

It's 5 am on Day 8 - the most anticipated day of our 2018 trip. Today, is our sunrise

adventure with Simba Sea Trips.

We were picked up bright and early from our Airbnb and brought to Simba's headquarters

at the Royal Phuket Marina where we joined a handful of others we'll be spending the day with.

The dozen or so of us on the Sunrise Tour got a quick orientation by our guide M and

were off to our speedboat by 6 am.

The other tours were just getting themselves together.

We picked Simba because of a few reasons: They have an amazing reputation on Tripadvisor,

they keep the number of participants on their trips lower than most others, and they make

it to the touristy spot way earlier than most others.

Although we weren't guaranteed a sunrise - especially since it rained last night -

we got a gorgeous one.

The crew actually stopped for a few minutes so that we could all enjoy the beautiful sunrise together.

After about an hour, we arrived at our first stop, Maya Bay which was made famous by the

"The Beach" which starred Leonardo DiCaprio.

Hollywood aside, this white sand beach was stunningly gorgeous.

From Maya Bay, you can walk about 10 minutes to Loh Samah Bay which is otherside of the island.

On the way back to Maya Bay for breakfast, we saw a random black cat under the boardwalk.

And then we noticed what it was eating…..

After about a half hour on the island, a breakfast picnic was set up for us.

Shortly after, the other boats began to arrive...so we were out.

A short hop on our boat took us to our next stop: Pileh Lagoon where we would do some swimming.

We went to the deepest part of the Lagoon so jumping off of the boat was encouraged.

For those who were less advanced, they gave us swim noodles.

After almost an hour in the water, it was time to head out.

The crew gave us all a fresh water spray as we boarded.

Not all of us were ready to leave..

Again, we noticed a bunch of boats coming in just as we were leaving.

Our next point of interest is the Viking Cave which got its name from the ancient cave paintings

inside as well as their crop of birds nest.

After a few more minutes, we arrived at the northeast tip of Phi Phi Leh which meant it

was time to snorkel.

Although we both sucked at it, we were really excited.

It was stunningly beautiful.

After about an hour in the water, it was time to head out from Phi Phi Leh.

Now, we headed toward Phi Phi Don where we would make a quick stop at Monkey Beach.

We were told that it was just after mating season so there would be a lot of nursing

mothers and aggressive males.

Remember the warning from yesterday, folks!

Our final - and longest stop - was at the beach on Bamboo Island.

It was a large beach with a nice swimming area so there were a lot of other boats there

- but, we weren't worried.

About an hour in, a picnic lunch was set up for us.

The crew also loned all of us beach mats in case we just wanted to chill out afterwards.

A half hour more on the beach and it was time to return to port.

Most of us were pretty spent and dozed off during the hour ride back.

Our transfers were waiting for us - which was great.

Overall our trip with Simba was an absolutely amazing experience.

I hope the rest of our time in Patong can keep up.

If you liked this video be sure to give it a thumbs up and subscribe to our channel for

new videos every week.

Thanks for watching, See you next time!

The County Seat Monument Exemption - Duration: 28:52.

Welcome to The County Seat, I'm Chad Booth.

It has been 22 years since Grand Staircase

Escalante was declared a monument, much to

the surprise of everyone who lives in Utah.

That single event started a bitter feud with the

federal government which has come full circle

with the reduction of the monument. That is

out topic today. So why was this such a battle?

Let's start by defining a monument with Ria in

"The Basics"

For the last three years, National Monument

creation, reduction, or justification has pretty

much been on the news or in discussions.. on a

daily basis. Experts claim that both the creation

and reduction of monuments is a misuse of

presidential power! There has been just as

much controversy on what qualifies for

monument protection and what doesn't.

Teams of lawyers argue about appropriate

protection under the Antiquities Act. it would

seem that the antiquities act is a pretty

complicated and lengthy piece of legislation,

Right? That is what I thought until I printed a

copy out to read, and do you know what I

found? The Antiquities Act is one page.... four

paragraphs, four hundred and twenty one

words and only two sentences deal with the

creation of a monument. It turns out that the

Antiquities Act states very clearly that a

monument is only declared to protect objects,

very specific ones at that. Here is that list: Are

you ready? Historic Landmarks, {like a pony

express coral} historic and prehistoric

structures,{like Anasazi ruins} objects of historic

or scientific interest like a meteorite. That is it.

It further states that the parcels of land that

may be reserved are to be confined to the

smallest area compatible with the care of that

OBJECT to be protected {The original version

capped it at 640 acres} So how many unique

and specific historical and scientific objects

were listed in the proclamation for the creation

of The Grand Staircase Monument to make it

1.9 million acres in size? I've gotta tell ya, the

list is pretty short...there are only 8 mentioned

by name. But then the declaration goes on to

list dozens of other things to protect, that are

not unique, not specific, and in many cases not

even objects, but none the less worthy of a

monument. Here are just a few, and I quote:

burning coal seams, steep walled canyons and

plateaus, many arches and bridges, sandstone

and shale deposits, sedimentary rock layers,

five life zones {what ever that is}, abundant

varieties of plants spreading across large land

formations such as {are you ready for this}

pinion juniper, an abundance of pack rat

middens, mountain lion, bear, bighorn sheep,

eagles falcons... well you get the idea. It seems

that the 4 page 18 paragraph monument

declaration spends a great deal of time and

words trying to justify protecting lots of things

that aren't historical landmarks, sites or even

objects at all. It is kind of begs the question:

What do you do if the pack rat moves? Do you

make another monument where he settles?

Look, most of the land within the monument

was already protected under various other

federal laws and regulations, wilderness study

areas, Taylor Grazing Act and even other

sections of the Antiquities Act. This is probably

why locals have been agitated since the

monument was declared and impatient since its

reduction. And this brings us to point where I

check out and Chad checks in. For the County

Seat I'm Ria Booth

Welcome back to the County seat we are joined

for the discussion today about the changes that

should happen have happened might happen

with grand staircase and the reduction of the

size of the monument joining us for the

conversation two people who have been very

County Leland Pollock and state representative

Mike Noel who's authored a whole bunch of

legislation about federal lands here in the state.

Thank you for joining us.

Has four months made a difference in your life

out here since they rescinded monument?

It's been a lot better for us on public lands. Since

Trump came into office I've a put that plug-in but

go-ahead Chad. I know what you're getting.

But the question is, has it or have you noticed

the change or are they still running it like it used

to be until they can go through the plan making

process?

I think it's changed significantly where some of

the key personnel positions. Brian Steed is now

the director of the Bureau of land management.

He was Kris Stewart's former Chief of Staff and

we have access we can talk to him and I think

he's doing a great job there. The problem is

we've had 20+ years of with the monument and

what worked and what didn't work and more. It

didn't work then did work in terms of multiple use

and the way that monument plan was written it

was not friendly to people that want to go into

the interior of the monument that want to keep

the roads open and be able to go in and actual

see the monument. It was written to keep people

out of the monument.

Part of that monument. I've never argued with

some of it not even 1,000,000 acres of it

probably two or 300,000 acres is actually

Canyon country that people look at Bryce

Canyon up you know that you go up on the rim

34,000 acres total in that park. Okay, this thing

was two million acres by the time the state

traded out land and everything, they couldn't

manage it. And I'll tell you why a lot of that land

was never visited in that monument. It was

regular sagebrush or rabbit brush invasive

weeds all of that. All that land should have been

managed like the BLM was mandated in 1934 to

manage and it was not. So, what you have you

have soil erosion terrible soil erosion you have

springs that have dried up. You have Piñon and

Juniper encroachment and were not talking

about Canyon country were talking about blue

clay rabbit brush.

sagebrush flats.

Areas that previously had been under a different

kind of management.

You can't just Park public land and expect that

it's going to look better, and do better you've got

to do some work on it. You've got to be an active

steward of the land. And that's what BLM was

supposed to be stewards of the land they just

bagged it and said no.

What impact did that have on you as a rancher?

Anybody that runs cattle knows you've got to

have water we've had water dry up all over the

monument and it's not just from a ranching

perspective this hurts all the wildlife this hurts

the lower End everybody loves the Paunsaugunt

I don't care worldwide renowned. It's famous.

Best dear heard in the whole United States for

mule deer.

They've run out of water, they are hauling water

to mule deer right now down on the buckskin on

the lower end on the Paunsaugunt fact. Okay,

so those are some serious impacts and that's

not just to the rancher.

And that comes as we've learned in previous

episodes from not doing proper vegetative

treatment.

Absolutely.

It's by turning what was a lush diverse

landscape into a solo monoculture of Piñon

Juniper totally no understory. So, who owns the

water in the state of Utah, we own. 99% of the

water. The federal government water rights are

really tied to grazing rights. So, if we own the

water one of the main things we want to do is

make sure that the watershed is protected.

The BLM had it right at one time. I mean all of

these areas that used to have feed for the cattle

for the wildlife that used to have water that was

good rangeland used to be managed correctly

by the BLM, but were going back into the 70s,

60s and then these people with an agenda came

in and look what we've got. We've got real

problems.

Are you worried that by the time the wheels of

federal process turn that the ship will turn

around again?

I'm very worried. As a matter of fact, I'm very,

very worried. And so, you have to have the right

people in place. You've got a new captain at the

very head you've got some of his coaches in

there Brian Steed and others but you have to fix

the team and the team are some of the

entrenched bureaucrats and there is a group of

people on the team that don't want to play the

way we want to play which is multiple use that

don't want to live by the federal land Policy

Management act of 1976 when Congress signed

off on that act and it was passed they said you

will give the states very much control are

planning efforts our ability to use these lands is

inherent in this plan and that changed when Bill

Clinton got in.

True multiple use land was created for everyone

multiple use means everyone, not just grazing

not just hiking not just hunting everybody gets to

use the land ATVs. Okay that was taken away

by Bill Clinton the area that has been affected

most which is most of the monument is multiple

use type land. It is not like Bryce Canyon that's

the take away I want everybody to look at this

thing and come on out to Garfield County and

Kane County and I'll show you.

I hope your watchers would go look at a Ted talk

by a man named Alan savory. He was a wildlife

biologist out of Africa. He's got a wonderful story

to tell of how if you leave things alone.

I've seen it.

You've seen that is a very, very, very true film

that he talks about in that Ted talk. That's what's

happening. He shows the national parks he

shows the BLM he shows the real erosion. He

shows decadent vegetation. When you create

the parks and you take the wildlife out you and

now we can't really do it with wildlife. We have to

use cattle. So, he's recovered all kinds of lands

across the world to protect watershed to protect

grazing and to keep wild animals. We want to do

that. We want our deer and elk to be able to

thrive here too.

counties were asked to submit what they

thought the monument should be and then a

decision was made for the reduction are you

happy with what they did to reduce it?

Well, let me tell you anything is better than what

was flat-out and we had a president for the first

time that come out here to the state of Utah the

state legislature the counties the governor

signed his resolution represented if his

resolution to come out and do this and for the

first time a president of the United States come

out and did that. We need to honor at least I

hope. No matter what you think in Utah honor

that president for doing that.

So, what do we need to do? What is the call to

action. Because we got a time window. We've

got a process that you say is slowing down or

being stalled. What do people who live in these

rural parts of the state need to be doing?

We've got a talk this guy into running again

because we've got a small window of

opportunity.

That's not a fair question for this conversation.

You are absolutely right. I would support this

president, but he's done a great job and we

hope he wins again, but in all reality, we may

only have three years. So, we've all got to work

hard.

You go to work fast. We've got to move quickly

people have to see that the report.

So, what do you do to accelerate the process?

Do what we're doing you've got a lot of people

working hard and this is one of them here where

all working hard Chad were doing our part but.

Can they truncate neepa is there a way to make

those things happen.

I think they can do it quicker. I think there's some

requirements we need some people in there

who can really look at the regulations and say

this is what needs to be done and the timing and

everything. There is a process you have to go

through, but I think they can do something

immediately and one of them would be get some

new people in their that really have the

background and the interest in trying to go

through this whole new plan and get it done in a

rapid fashion. Get those people that really

believe in multiple use of the public lands and

not just setting this land aside and letting it

become decadent.

Both of you believe that if we make those

changes that the land will be better for our

grandchildren than it is today?

No question in my mind no question about it.

Okay, any last comments gentlemen?

No, I mean I think we hit that pretty good Chad I

think it's been, I've been at it over 20 years and

Leland has been at for how many years?

Well, I'm a lifetime resident.

But I mean as far as in the policy position.

I've been a Commissioner now almost 8 years.

Eight years but in the policy part eight years I've

been at it for 20 years and even when I worked

with the agency. My goal was to get some

multiple use of the public lands. And that's one

of the things that happened and when that

changed under the Clinton administration. It

wasn't a good thing. And so I said I think I can

do more on the outside then I went into the

legislative side and spent 16 years working with

you working with my brother from a different

mother and we've got a lot done this Porter

Rockwell right here. He's a solid he's we've got

to have we've got a good commissioner in my

district 21 County commissioners pretty much

lockstep on this issue.

Scoping is always the place where people need

to participate, and seldom do they always wait

until it becomes a comment period On the plans

they've come up with, how can people get

engaged with the scoping what do they need to

do?

Well where advertising the scoping meetings

right now go to the meetings and get involved.

Do you have to be an expert?

Look, we can't compete with the special interest

groups. As far as comments that they send in

they have form letters. But you know what the

powers that be know they're sending in form

letters and getting lots of that. But I think I urge

all of our local folks to come to the scoping

meetings.

Yeah there needs to be input it's not the matter

in the volume of letters because like what the

Commissioner just said it's what's said in the

letters it's the policy right get the science right

and we strongly believe that with the right

science we can have a better managed piece of

land, I mean 5000 acres total between the bears

ears and the grand staircase. We cut out 5000

mi.. That's a lot of land to be tied up. That's the

figure of some of the smaller states. So, I think

we can get it right, but we've got to manage it

and use got a lot of people that want to come

and see these beautiful lands and the way we

do that is very important.

Gentlemen, thank you for joining us. Thank you

for staying with us and will be right back. We're

going to take a personal look at how the

monument and its history has affected some

different people around the counties down here

in grand staircase land. When we come back on

the County seat.

Welcome back to The County Seat. For those of

us who travel to Grand Staircase, it is hard to

appreciate the impact the same as someone

who lives there.

My name is Clair Ramsey and on September the

18th 1996 President Bill Clinton declared a

formation or creation of Grand Staircase

Escalante National Monument. The majority of

the people, all the people that I knew felt that it

was a stab in the back when the Grand Staircase

Escalante National Monument was created and

declared not only to Garfield County, and the

state of Utah but the whole nation. I don't know

anyone who wanted the monument because it

wasn't known. I've never talked to anyone or

don't know anyone before it was created said

we'd we like to have a monument there, I have

never seen that. I think maybe they have over

estimated the monument actually what it's

done and what it hasn't, I have my doubts.

In the Monument I've got probably two

hundred and sixty thousand acres. I am Dell

Lafever, Of Garfield and Kane County. I run

cattle in both counties I have been doing it for

years. Ok, this land I look at it as a garden, you

don't take care of it, the weeds take over. And

that's what's happened out here, the trees have

taken over, and so, you can't manage it if there

is nothing but trees out here. Right now you

can't treat the land, they are doing it in some

places and I am hoping we can start doing it up

here. They used to chain and rail and when they

did that you had deer out there you had a, it

was a good allotment. And the cows summered

out there, and now it's just sagebrush and

trees. And nothing grows out of these little

juniper trees. Look under that tree right there

see there's very very little stuff grows under a

tree if you pull them out of there the grass

comes back. Over the years we have lost over

eighty percent of the grass to trees and

sagebrush. This side here we pulled the trees

so it make more grass over here I haven't

gotten to these over here but the land don't run

too far up that way but you can look and see

how thick the trees is over there and look down

here where they have been pulled out this

makes a lot more grass look back that way

where we pulled a lot of trees that's all coming

back to grass. We used to have really good BLM

employees they was from here from local and

they kept us abreast on whats going on. We had

sixteen government employees in Kane and

Garfield counties before the monument after

the monument it went over 100. It's been a

long, over the years it keeps getting worse.

We'll continue in just a minute on The County

Seat.

Welcome Back to The County Seat and our

discussion on the monument reduction for

Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument.

In this long footprint of time from creation to

reduction I have spent about a quarter of it as a

bystander. The monument was declared in 1996

and at that time, my focus was on boats. The

years of jeeping and dirt bike exploration that I

enjoyed in my youth I left behind when I moved

from Utah to Pennsylvania, (that happened in

the early 80s). So when I returned to the sport

at the beginning of The Utah Trail series in 2000

a bunch had changed. When I left three

wheelers were the ATV of choice. RS-2477 had

never been challenged, Cross country travel was

still the status quo on most BLM land and range

projects were still a major part of the BLMs

mission instead of environmental analysis.

SUWA was two years away from creation. I, like

most, was not keenly aware of the monument

other than it arrived with no warning, cost

Democrat Bill Orton his congressional seat and

blocked some sort of coal mine that was in the

final stages of planning. Since 2000 I have

caught up on a great deal regarding the

monument, I learned about road closures, the

propaganda attack on most users of public land,

coal, oil and gas, ranching, off road recreation

things that seemed innocuous to me as an off

roader in the day. I looked at the

environmental movement in the west as a very

different group of people than those who rallied

around love canal and fought against acid rain.

This wilderness group has always seemed to me

to be about excluding me, because they

perceived that I excluded them.

It is hard to explain, but it kind of

reminds me of the kid in grade school who

didn't have a bike, so he would criticize those of

us who did, merely because we did. Who needs

a stupid old bike anyway, you guys with bikes

stink. That is the same tone I have heard from

wilderness proponents who have driven most of

the effort to establish these mega monuments

across the west... with an eye to exclude

everyone but them. I have questioned myself

about this impression I have held for well over a

decade now, but the point was driven home as I

read the actual proclamation to create Grand

Staircase. This one line stood out above all the

other hyperbole and flap of that document. It

said: "The monument presents exemplary

opportunities for geologists, paleontologists,

archeologists, historians, and biologists." As I

read this I saw a glaring omission. There were

no exemplary opportunities for travelers,

families, for ranchers, back country pilots,

campers or hunters. Which might explain why

the same people who pushed so hard for the

monument, are the same ones who oppose a

smaller national park. Truth is, I think they just

don't want to share public lands with anyone

other than themselves. Imagine if Woody

Guthrie, their standard bearer were to write a

song for them... its first refrain would be This

land my land, this land is my land, it is not your

land, its only my land... Think about how that

song ends.. and that is my two cents worth.

WOLF ATTACK - THE LONG DARK - EP07 - Duration: 28:30.

hi guys fat pudding here welcome back to the next episode in my playthrough

series of the long dark and if you remember we are up with two great mother

in date sound of Milton evacs you just found up this map I didn't even know it

actually existed so I think this is basically is plotting we were we are

where we've been so the plane is here we've actually came come through this

way AB you move just come through the mountains I'm not sure which way is yet

but we did pick up the road and follow the the world into the main town and

this is where we are now so I presume in there we go the great mothers is this

building here and I presume you've got ahead a little bit further up the road

as she did actually indicate to us that we need to head towards the outskirts of

town to collect the extra firewood that she needs so we're just going to do that

now we're just going to quickly make sure we are ready to go outside needs it

just maybe get a little bit of liquids inside also we'll do that right now if

we got here okay we've got under pork and beans we could do a guess almost

snow to be honest and again it's cooked on the fire to get some drinking water

and currently have half a liter have unsafe water so well drink some of this

they should increase our hydration which it has done so and we've still got just

over three courses of a liter left plus we've got half a liter the unsafe I

think we're just I mean you could eat the chocolate bar they just say it's

stale I'm sure so I'm gonna do as much damage so we'll eat that as well

okay pretty much and we'll get on with the task in hand I'm sure it's gonna be

going duck pretty soon so let's get on to it hoping the weather's died down a

bit since yep there's no wind at the moment which is great for us we just

need to check on our inventory we have about I'd say just under eight and a

half kilos of free free space so hopefully that should be enough for us

to gather what what we need so that said this way it's just what she said for us

to do anyways so hoping this will be the case I've not seen any wolves there yet

which is good news the thing is with this particular game I actually don't

have a weapon as such okay I thought that was a wolf then I'm just in a bit

anxious

I just checked on the current climate okay at the moment it's only minus six

which is good for us okay there's a wolf here just keep an eye on this see where

he goes because this is definitely the way we need to go as you can see there's

it's trucks so it's it's been into the town maybe looking for food itself okay

I think he's a bit got a bit further up and he's um he's moving on oh okay

coming back let's see we can now we can go around I don't say that's the case

let's pick up this these sticks while we're here we can't get up there I'm

hoping this way will actually lead round so we'll head this way just to avoid the

wolf we can hopefully if it doesn't take us round to the exit of the town we can

always turn back fingers crossed that she'll be the right way

a couple of stones they will pick those on case we've seen you rabbits okay

there's a deer down there

just break up these branches she ought to be really on board with with the time

about things to take to get done in this game yeah this is good for us

my god that's a fir land I've that's the first time I've seen such a big good

piece of wood that size anyway well that was a good move on our part here the

day's been spooked and it's run off what we'll do we'll search this building

anyway we'll pick up the wood on the rock on the way okay okay there's it

there's a wolf over there he's coming this way

that could be the same one oh crap he's cookies running

I've got nothing to fend off with it America slow stones but it's coming god

damn it thought was a goner then ok but he hairs

on the back of my neck that's the first encounter I've had in this game I saw

maybe I'm a bit way to say a bit glad to say maybe he's running I've definitely

injured him maybe a bit more of a younger or younger wolf because that one

knows it's feeding on something let's just check our house situation I'm

hoping we're okay yeah we're all right we've got no afflictions health is done

89 percent so that's okay my god pretty intense

okay let's get into this now see what we can find

looks like an old gas station yeah Oh a lot looks like there's maybe a lock on

the door yeah okay gas station yes could you we got a pry bar that we found

previously

we can break them down Oh storm Lansing can we take that yeah

we'll take that because that will do for us when we're around when we leave the

town just plenty of stuff in here what's this a paddle okay

plenty of cow board we can break down for tinder

let's hit the newsprint should come in handy

okay let's take that got some sweet dispensers der bits in food we're not

going to turn down food even if it is dog food flesh machine such the cooler

yep some soda drink and some sardines

let's hit the papers oh is that a candy bar yep I love that coffee can we get to

that okay no more let me pick that up cowboy box

yep I will not be nice if that was working one lit coffee dispenser we've

got power are we no soda some vending machines to an emptied okay

let's try the storerooms think big you're here matches excellent let's just

check on art and Vinci okay we're getting to where our limit now let's

just check on our character we can maybe can eat some food he's a bit tired

you'll get a bit food Downers get they sent the sardines in yeah I

think maybe one more will do the trick let's eat the other one now fauna such

sad things myself but hey help okay well if we go here okay it's just a baby

goats in food excellence lockers let's open this one Andy

oh yeah excellent cheap nylon outer layer yeah well take that we are over in

combat now so we need to do some adventure yes Orson I think driving

gloves let's take those I'm not sure what's going to be in a filing cabinet

but you never know could end up being useful yep definitely we could

definitely spend the night here okay we are overweight we definitely need to

sort our inventory out we will be taking that okay I think what we'll do we'll

definitely spend the night here we could they've got a lantern for the light

source we could set a fire up easy let's just so our inventio see what we can do

now clothing wise okay what lays have we got

we've got under were a shirt on a sweater on

then we've got pants with the coats or we could change that to the wind rugged

rag windbreaker so that's given us two percents 0.2 degrees in heat that's

giving us one but the wind chill is increased by seven so we'll were that

one okay that's good I've got a better hat that weren't any

better than the one were wearing that's nine and four that's seven and three I

think the condition is slightly better or not at 60% right and what we got for

gloves wise they're gonna be yeah we could definitely drop those options can

we do can we okay we can harvest them that's going to

take us ten minutes okay just checking our weight we're still over encumbered

Kiwi definitely to get some sleep we did bring the let's just have a quick check

outside you did bring the sleeping bag with us okay we're still okay still

daylight but we need to sleep anyway so we will catch a couple of hours it Zed's

know said get that lantern equipped and see we can actually get it lit do we do

this now bear with me guys this is Betty

unknown for me at the moment and getting these things equipped and working right

whistle onsen mr. Lanson equipped up can we light it excellent can we place it

down yep well place it there oh look at

that that's brilliant isn't it so we've got a

light source makes it a bit more homely you know it's only a garage but anyway

and let's get the bed sorted which one would that be under

it's definitely here I know we've got it I know we picked it up for sure oh

please tell me we've not left it other grandmother's house god damn it

yeah we've done just that um we we've left at the gray mother's house so that

means looking after head back before nightfall I promise we are an over

encumbered we just have to take our time and hopefully we can get back right we

speaking that we can look about in the darker buildings now oh what's that beef

jerky well of that don't even notice that you know just a lot more things

when it's actually any other light source we didn't search the toilet not

that it's gonna be anything in the aerbook they could use this yeah pull

off the bandage and the answer for your six that's that's brilliant

we emptied that didn't we okay it's nothing else in here yeah this flow this

lens is going to go out in a minute

Oh lock it up we've just found another bed

roll so excellent we can actually stay the night

that's great let's get this London sorted we need to might have to drive

some gear yeah we know that yep we need to sort the lantern out how do you

actually increase the put some I don't alarm all fluids in its to keep it going

longer you click on it don't we actions refuel there we go

excellent so we've put a liter of fuel in it let's relate it again Oh excellent

let's put that down there get the bed wall and we will go sorry it was still

wasn't it so Connor I'll place this down I mean is it safe to put a fire in here

we could try I don't think it's gonna love us yeah we can't put fires indoors

I know it's a bit of a stupid way of doing things it's not I mean what thing

is stove I don't dis extinguish this it's gonna burn out anyway so let's just

check outside

yeah it's definitely getting dark I think we will definitely spend the night

here let's just have a quick look we are over encumbered need to buy it for those

wolves nothing in there

he's nothing in this building I mean we could put the fire outside couldn't we

thought it's warmer inside I think even even without a fire if you think about

it okay we're just come in the rear rear of the building

can we should be able to see the Lanson yep okay let's just check on the

December check we'll pick those gloves up more actually harvest them because we

can get some lovin out of them can't we just go to clothing and then the gloss

then go to actions and then go harvest you're gonna get your cured leather okay

we're okay we're just tired so I'll think we'll sleep for eight hours

and let's just check on the temperature inside here okay look it out no wind

chill cuz we're inside and it's zero degrees

no temperatures minus six but that's okay let's take the Lance in Pam will do

will extinguish it

because we don't need to burn the fuel where were to sleep which one mr.

Lansing under put on that one and then scroll down areas actions no we don't

want it to if we gonna equip it will he go off yeah excellent okay but role

that's gets eight hours sleep okay fingers crossed it we're not gonna wake

up and it's gonna be nighttime again Brooke it should be an early early

morning by the time we wake you up a thing okay we'll put the Lansing on now

because we can't really remember you need to sleep a little bit more let's

have a quick look outside yeah

you maybe a couple of more hours but we need to definitely saw iron Banshee out

like I said because we haven't got too much at the moment let's find a bedroll

or is it that's best be sensible about this thing and put the lights on so we

can see there we go they were just right here

let's unequip this again I don't we use matches next town of easy once it

bedroll let's sleep for another four hours study about the way guys there we

go excellence let's just check on our clock there it's daylight now we just

need to fill up on a bit of food and water this guy eats like a horse right

feed let's get it rid of the ones would be the lowest I don't know you would

call it a condition would you say that would be condition so that's eat the de

beans that's going to give us 600 it says that sir yep

beans eaten we could eat the well no we don't want to be in the coffee do we we

need to say we're use half as tea don't we also we got herbal tea beef jerky

let's eat the beef jerky excellent ok and then we'll fill up on liquids now

okay where's our counter how super ah okay still up at thirsty well so we go

oh we got some orange soda that's going to give us 250 and if we drink this one

as well that should take us up

okay we're pretty much rested slacked full nor flexions that's basically

perfect isn't it for our character okay let's pick up the bed roll

no we're picking it up we're not taking it sleeping we have searched here don't

we let's just check on our overall weight

okay and but just maybe half a kilo of a way you might be able to get away with

that actually well what we'll do we'll just head back okay

that little ride come in the bottom right hand corner if you've not noticed

already that must be due to the fact that we are over encumbered let's see if

we can just maybe shed a few things

flourish shall I mean ideally what would I need that for and you could drop a

call of these stands to be honest because we can find more can't we okay

there we go it puts us on the overall weight cuz you just chop six tones let's

pick one off and let's see where we're at

yeah we could pick another one up yeah that'll do okay let's head back we can't

carry anymore the weather just changed instantly that

isn't it I just I don't see that that wolf again I've got a dead wolf for you

that's the first time I've seen that to be honest right what killed that is

something bigger like a burn or something killed it or as it just died

cuz of the weather okay that said back in some Milton there

we go this we know what that sounds called 1911 fingers crossed the old lady

would be happy sorry tilt lady the gray mother will be happy with our um a

progress fingers crossed we don't see any wildlife it's a few birds ahead as

you can see - but yeah we're okay at the moment

Tinky DUI shielded a lot though with these mountains from the from the Rio

from the weather on the elements which is good but we're not gonna be able to

stay it all the time are we so we it's early morning right we need to fill up

this this week okay we've got 14 reclaimed wood and 13 sticks let's put

the rest of them in here

transfer all should just put down that should marry I just double-click on it I

transfer five because I need something from yourself okay do we have to

actually collect sixty kilos that's gonna take us forever and we're gonna be

a lot longer than idea so aren't we doing it they were doing this quest

let's go in and I have a word and see what she says

maybe she's she can give us more information

okay here we go

what would you like to talk about

current needs away ago she needs we have to provide her with

these things mushroom bandages military-grade MREs wouldn't want to get

those from jerk and give her a bandage okay I see so it increases their trust

right I can't give her anything else because I've not got any of these things

okay let's go to finish

she'll Sofia what can I find something no we've already done this seven-way

okay take the axe in the woodshed out back if you must cut woods at the edge

of town okay yeah we've already done that none of your business outside

upstairs my private things and don't steal from me we all never found what I

don't know about your friend oh right okay so we need to increase their trust

to get the information out of her now dearly I just like to pull a gun on

her and just you know give her what for but that's not what this games all about

is it okay the lies call me the grandmother okay you should call me

grandmother also I do apologize for that just popped up on the screen so if

everyone left why you still here

then that just came up then I need to get

yes they're afraid of me and even if I could have left I I wouldn't I was born

in I'll die here and that's the way has to be the way it has to be you won't

understand loyalty main London okay what a puzzling woman come back when he

started my favorite situation I have of oh my god right a bit confused well what

I'll do guys I've caught an episode on this one I'll do a little bit of

research and find out exactly what we need to do and they want to come back on

for the next one will no words were to go on what to do to get this information

I mean ideally I'd like to take that gone for maybe that's after I've gained

her complete trust I think the trust issue is going to be getting the

resources that she requires which which was all those things which don't alone

will be able to find all those in this particular town but anyway okay so

thanks for watching if you did like it please hit that thumbs up button and if

you want to see more content don't forget to subscribe ok guys thanks for

watching see you the next one bye for now

Superstar Brothers Salim - Sulaiman talk Bollywood Music and Canada - Duration: 21:04.

I'm gonna start off right off the bat so you're here touring across Canada for a

very special purpose and that's for the Diamond Jubilee for his Highness Aga Khan

so for people who don't know what that is

what is this tour all about?

this is a very special celebration for all

Ismailis all over the world and His Highness the Aga Khan is our spiritual

leader and this is the 60th year of him being our spiritual leader and it's a

big it's a very very big celebration all over the world and the Jubilee concerts

is is a great way for us to get everyone to connect with their roots to celebrate

this incredible historic moment for all of us and and to come together and and

you know rejoice with music and arts

And music is such a good way to bring

and you said something about you know connecting with your roots so

in this concert series are you guys kind of bringing in a little bit more of a

faith aspect of being Ismaili and

devotional

is it kind of like that?

there is there is a lot

of devotional music we've made a lot of devotional music over the years and some

of our biggest hits or songs are actually have a little bit of a

devotional quality in them so songs like Shukran Allah or Ali Maula or even songs like

[?] have have a little bit of that devotion and we realized

that songs that have that devotional quality have a kind of sustenance over

the years these are songs that play on forever and go on to become these golden

songs you know which which will splay out forever

and so there is a lot of that devotional quality and but besides that there's a

lot of entertainment

yeah you need the fun right you need to bring the fun

there is a great sense of celebration you know there's a lot of

we touch upon some nostalgia as well we do some old songs

and of course the concert ends with a

lot of dancing and a lot of incredible beats

so it's basically a giant party that's the best part

you know it's a journey

It's a journey yeah

I would call it a journey because it's a rollercoaster of emotions right there's a lot of

love there's a lot of nostalgia there's a lot of dedication there's a lot of fun

and a lot of partying there's people all through these series we've

traveled the world and we've seen people get up off their seats and go crazy

dancing right so it's you know it's a journey we've also seen people cry yeah

and you know what Bollywood kind of does that to you Bollywood itself and film in

Bollywood in India does that to you

it's a journey, you kind of go through

the crying you go through the love story and you guys have done hundreds of songs

for hundreds of movies so let's take a hit like Ainvayi Ainvayi which is a hit of yours

so can you guys tell me how you make a hit like that? what goes into that?

We actually try to make a good song and don't chase hits

I believe that if you try to make a good song it will become a hit

if you try to chase a hit it may you miss so that's always been

a formula to make a beautiful song to make a timeless song even if you're doing

party song and a dance song there is a

try to do a song which has some melodic

content and some kind of lyrical and you know some musical element to it which is

kind of funky yet cool yet it has a melody which will stay with you

you know so that's very important like even for like for

instance a song like a Ainvayi lut gaya that's song started off literally in a

cab we were traveling we were in Delhi and we were

commissioned to do this film the music for this film and we were in a cab and

the cab guy was speaking very loudly to somebody

on the phone and he used [Ainvayi Ainvay] very loudly and that's

where you first heard that word it's a very North Indian word right it's not

popular down south in central India so I was kind of

intrigued and then we went to another place and you know there was we heard

that word again where a decorator was talking to some you know people who were

working to set up a function and I was like this is a very interesting word so that's how

that song started we came back to Bombay and you were working on a movie

called Band Baaja Baaraat which was based in Delhi right yeah and it was kind of

based you know around this whole wedding thing, wedding planners and stuff so I

thought it'd be a great trick to use this word

and there you go so for our viewers though

do you, I don't want to put you guys on the spot but you're here and you said to

take advantage of your time sure could you give us a sample just a little bit

of Ainvayi Ainvayi live for the people, for the people

Can you sing after that?

no I can't because I'm nervous

I can't do it

but you're Simran

I am Simran and you're Raj, there you go

So I mean the dynamic and like the fun that goes into a song for Bollywood

so just going off that like I said there's hundreds of movies hundreds of

songs it's such a big industry that people might not realize and sometimes

it feels so washed-up like you watch another family another film comes out

how do you make songs in these movies like your hits stay relevant because

sometimes it's hard to do that

yeah it, what you have to do, what we do is we

read the script and it's very important to read the script and

understand the kind of colors and the kind of emotions which are relevant to a

particular film so while we're reading we are also imagining a situation in

which the song is going to be and with that you you see the back line the

story behind it and when you see when you read all of those things you start

imagining a song and you start imagining what the words would be and that's what

makes it relevant you know you can't make a song and insert it into a

you have to tailor make a song for a film

it should be reflective of the story

and it's very important to have that kind of preparation behind making a

song for a film so once you do that then you know automatically the colors start

floating in you know what kind of mood it is like maybe for a film like Kurbaan

the backdrop is very Sufi and Islamic

so making a song like a Ainvayi Ainvayi for a film like Kurbaan wouldn't make sense

so you have to have that relevance a little bit of the essence of the film

in the song and once you do that then everything just falls into place

do the right casting for a singer

for the right musicians and everything just falls into place

and music is a very interesting thing you have to, you know everybody knows where to play music

but a lot of people you know should understand when not to do music

but that comes with the experience when you're scoring a film you know just like

putting music all over the place would be just kind of like you take away

the silences and the quiet moments

that's so true

so then not to do music is also very important to know

and in Indian films especially I feel and music

is a huge part of it, more than I would say Western Hollywood films

because we have our dance sequences that go on for like 10 minutes

but for people who might have never watched a Bollywood film in their life

can you explain like how important these songs are because they matter

Well the songs are you know, I think the music is really the soul of the film in so many movies

so many films you don't remember the story and the film comes and goes but the music stays on

great example is Kurbaan as Sulaiman said

the film was set up, was set in New York and you know

it was a nice story but unfortunately the film really didn't work in the box office

but the music still plays on and it's something that stays

forever I've watched awful films from like the

Indian film industry but the songs are so good

you know music is the first look of the film, when the film almost come out right and when

you're advertising a film you don't have action sequences of the size as much as

a song is so it actually becomes a vehicle for the film and in that sense

it's very important to have good music because that's the first thing you'll

see on the television it's the first promo that comes out will be of

the music and if you don't have a good song that just brings your film down

immediately because you you hear the song is you know you know I

subconsciously you feel like you don't like the song yeah and therefore the

films aren't going to be a big one and if you hear a great song with

visuals of the actors and you say hey that's a great song and maybe the film

is worth checking out so it's a big vehicle for the film and that's one of

the reasons why you have songs in the film now because it's it's the first

look and the first promotion that happens of course

music by itself has a lot of relevance because the music stays on past

the film there sometimes when you you will hear a song you wonder what film

that's from, you won't know who was acting it

but you know the song

but you know the song

so that being said so you guys create these songs that matter so much

but in the film's you don't really appear in the films you're behind the

scenes and then you see this big Bollywood actor lip-syncing your song

how does that feel to be behind the scenes?

it's been it's been a tradition in our film industry for the longest time

I mean it's been there for more than a hundred years

a hundred years, in fact, the Indian film industry finished a hundred years a couple of years ago

it's been going on forever but

that is changing now if you notice a lot of songs that have

been produced now have certain actor certain singers along with actors

you know as a promotional video and stuff like that so it's things are changing

and besides that apart from the film industry

we have a decent independent music industry as well that is growing

and it's it's really coming out I mean the whole digital world is like booming

to a large extent so that that is giving a lot of artists to you

know have faith in their music and bring out videos and sort of you know I

mean it's like how the TV killed the radio, the internet is killing the TV

for the longest time we didn't have a music industry

we have a film industry

We had a film industry and the music industry was a subset of the film industry

but the last few years has been a big change

because you see independent music coming out and you see big productions

big videos

Videos yeah you do you do big

videos and then you create them and put them on YouTube whatever you know

there's lots of mediums how to deliver your music and you don't see the need to

actually create a song for a film you can just make a good song and deliver it to your audiences

and all this is changing like you know cuz I mean even the people are

sort of like now not going to theaters as much as they used to before because

there are like so many others like Netflix, Amazon and what not so it's you know

the world is getting smaller and smaller

and like speaking the world getting

smaller so what people might not realize is Bollywood has this global impact it

might be a little bit more underrated here like our prime minister Justin

Trudeau he just met with Shah Rukh Khan a few weeks ago to bring more film into

Canada what are your thoughts on Bollywood and its global impact?

do you think that's growing and how important do you think that is?

Simran every sixth guy on the planet is Indian firstly

that's so true you have like five of them in here already

So I think that answers your question

I mean and everyone watches films I know people in South America don't speak a

word of Hindi and who are not even Indian but they love Hindi films we had a great

experience in Moscow we did the Jubilee concert in Moscow yeah they don't they

don't know they did they don't know Hindi and they don't understand the

language but they know the songs and we did a Shah Rukh Khan medley there in the

Jubilee concert and people were like, they were singing along

how does that feel to see people who might not be from India?

Thats the power of music

You know music is the one language that

that transcends borders, languages it's the one thing that communicates

regardless you might not know the language you might not know the actor

you might not know anything but if you hear a great piece of music you relate to it

look at Spanish music or Latino music or any kind of

folk music it transcends borders you you listen to Spanish music you don't know

what it means you don't know what the language is but you understand it

because you understand the beat you understand the music and that's what

Bollywood does as well the music does at least

and your music is doing something special right now with this concert series

so what is so special about the Aga Khan's Diamond Jubilee?

it's like I said it's a it's a it's a celebration

it's a very it's a historic event for all Ismailis

it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity

it's it's a great opportunity for us to meet our brothers and sisters

it's a great opportunity for us to celebrate

together we made a wonderful song called Jubilee Mubarak the Ismaili artists from

all over the world they've participated as part of the song and and it's it's an

it's a great it's very very it's a soulful song it's a beautiful melody

and the lyric and everything has turned out so nice and each time we

performed that song people literally get teary-eyed

it's so crazy to see how your music and music in general can bring people together

and we've seen this and what's really nice about the Ismaili community is that it's

very you know it's very open to different cultures and even the Aga

Khan Museum in Toronto is is it's such a great place for you know for for it's a

beautiful cultural spot for not just for a Ismailis but it's open to everyone

and it's fantastic for people to know about Islamic art and Islamic

architecture traditions and what our faith is based upon

so in terms of the Jubilee is is this something that should be just important for it Ismailis or

no no it's a celebration

For everyone?

yes absolutely and that's why this

concerts open to everyone

that's amazing

yes because it's not just like I said it's not just

firstly our faith is, our community is very very open to different cultures so we invite everyone

and I, many Canadians might not know about it or they've never heard about it

so it's really cool that you guys are making this impact with your music

so the motto of the concert is celebration through devotion and the idea

behind it is is to be able to enjoy the celebration of the Diamond Jubilee

not within just yourself but with everybody in the world

in society in general

okay so now we're gonna get a little bit personal

so you inspire a lot of people they come to your concerts and cry but what kind of

music gets to your heart like what whose music speaks to you and what music do

you guys listen to?

it keeps changing currently my playlist I listen to Seal

he's my current favorite and I mean he's been my all-time favorite but there's a

record that he did called Standards which is with an orchestra

and it's all very very old musics 50s 60s but you know that's something but

apart from that I'm also listening to Dirty Loops which is a

electronic funk band and so it's it's

any Beyonce? that's my question how about Beyonce?

I love Beyonce

There you go, that's all I needed to hear, thank you

Beyonce is going on tour by the way

I'm there I'm there

did you know about it?

Oh I've-

So yeah, so R&B is something we always listen to, R&B and Hip Hop

But besides that I also listen to a lot of Arabic music, a lot of Spanish

there's all sorts of music that doesn't need language for you to get into and

understand bands like Arash, I dont know if you know about them

it's it's great music yeah and like I said you don't you don't really need to

understand the language to be able to enjoy a song and that's what's that's

what's so unique about about the music and about the songs

just in terms of people who want to get into music

anybody who wants to make it into any industry whether it be the Indian industry

or here in the West what is your advice? what should they do?

before I answer that question I wanted to say

that one thing which we're really really loving these days is our own traditional

folk music right and as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebration Jubilee

concert tour we brought in these incredible three folk musicians from

Rajasthan that do some amazing folk songs and some traditional qawwalis and

and that is something which I I mean it's just incredible we've actually done

us recently we did a song with one of the artists whose name is Sattar Khan and

we actually met him in 2010 as part of a reality show I was part of a reality

show in Mumbai and he was a contestant and he was only 15 at that

time and then we met him in 2016 after six years

where he was from a boy he had turned into a man and it was amazing and so he's and just then

he completely mesmerized to us and we took him on tour with us so that's a

pretty special story and he's performing tonight in Vancouver

and he's part of the Jubilee concert series all over the world

and answering your question about the message well the first thing about every aspiring

musician singer is to be to know that you know to feel the talent inside you

and music is you have to have a love affair with it you know if you are in

love with it if you love music music will love you if you don't love it it'll

not love you so you can't be and you can't think that it's just a you know

it's a hobby or it's like a profession it has to be your passion it has

to be your love but only then you'll be able to feel it and you'll be able to

spread happiness through that and you'll be able to connect with people

yeah it's very important to actually have the knowledge you know nowadays it's

very easy because you have a computer you have some software and some

loops and you put everything together and bang you have a song but

that's the kind of song that you know comes in and goes out it's not something

that's gonna stay it doesn't have longevity so if you want to make a

song that really works you have to understand the music you have to

understand the you know it's like it's like language

you know half the language and you speak tuta futa Hindi or tuta futa English

like we call it you know the half yeah half half half

broken English

The broken English, its like that if you make a song like that with that kind of knowledge that's the

kind of song it's going to be

what Sulaimon is saying is that its important to know instrument

because today there are lots of loops which are available on

your phone even like GarageBand and stuff like that just like you can

push some buttons and make music but that's going to come and go if you

really want to feel it you gotta learn an instrument and it could be anything

or learn singing or learn

Learn, learn, try

yeah knowledge

learn before you earn

there you go
