Waching daily Mar 2 2018

China slammed the U.S. Senate Thursday for unanimously passing a bill aimed at promoting

closer American ties with Taiwan.

The legislation, passed the day before, calls for officials at all levels to travel to and

from the United States and self-governing Taiwan, allowing for closer business and cultural

exchanges.

However, China sees Taiwan as its own and ineligible to forge state relations.

The U.S. move would imply that it considers Taiwan to be a sovereign nation, sparking

anger from Beijing.

"China is strongly dissatisfied and firmly opposed to it.......

We urge the U.S. to uphold the One-China policy, stay committed to the Three Sino-U.S. Joint

Communiques, stop official exchanges and substantial improvement of ties with Taiwan, and properly

deal with Taiwan-related issues with prudence so as to avoid disturbance and damage to the

China-U.S. relationship."

The bill, which is awaiting President Trump's signature, comes at a time when Washington-Beijing

ties are not at their best.

Both sides are already at loggerheads over trade, and the latest move has only added

to tensions.

Early spring cold grips Korea _ 030218 - Duration: 2:03.

Good morning.

Today is Daeboreum or the day when we greet the first full moon of the new lunar year.

It's a very cold Daeboreum morning.

Cold wave advisories are in place in many regions...

Seoul is not under the alert,... but it's freezing outside... so you'll need a thick

jacket for your morning commute.

So let's go right into today's temperatures,...

Seoul and Daejeon had a low of minus 6 and minus 5 degrees Celsius,... even Busan is

waking up to subzero temperatures at minus 1.

Highs will be similar to yesterday,...

Seoul will make it to 4 degrees Celsius,... while Daegu, Busan and Jeju will make it to

10 degrees Celsius.

Skies will be clear all day into tonight... so many of us won't have a hard time getting

a glimpse of the first full moon tonight but bundle up.

Spring warmth is on the way this weekend, we are expecting light rain on Sunday afternoon

but other than that we'll enjoy balmy conditions but be aware of big gaps between lows and

highs on Saturday.

That's Korea for you and here's the international weather for viewers around the world.

Oh, that really hurt.

And where, might I ask, are we?

Sorry...

It was your line.

Murder. No I dropped him off at Sebby's daycare.

Bard's gonna do it because if I do it, I might shatter it in a thousand pieces.

That's right Finnian. I thought we weren't doing a bl-vlog.

This is... quite difficult for me.

That's an important piece.

Do you like my hair?

Oh yeah, it's very nice.

Yes, I got it cut.

I didn't even notice.

Sorry about that.

It's...it's great! We only have one bed! So we get to cuddle!

We're not cuddlin'.

Okay.

I don't know what cuddling even means.

I just read it in stories.

No. Are you turning into a zombie?

Sorry I tried to make them fall.

They wouldn't fall down.

Claudious?

Grell!

Claudious!

So we're uh, here...

At the anime convention.

Yep.

Nod.

Oh! And I-

Well that's the first time that's happened.

Wow, that sucks.

Up. That will turn off.

No that would be the opposite.

Shut up.

No if it thinks it's too cool...

We gotta make it cooler.

If it thinks it's too cool, you want to tell it that you want it to be cool...

But it, it would think it's too hot if it's turning the fan on.

If it thinks it's too hot, you turn the temperature up and then it would match with it.

Whatever dude. It is what it is.

It's getting cold!

It is getting cold in here!

Oh yes!!!

Bard and I are about to go down to the convention.

Bard fixed the ceiling.

And Mr. Sebastian said bringing a thrame-

One more time?

That ceiling's heavy.

Yeah!

Yeah!

And maybe...training.

But, we found her!

I hurt my wrist.

Is this a funeral?

Oh no. This is not a funeral.

Lots of people dressed in black.

Negan...

Basically is going to do something bad here.

Is he gonna kill that dude?

Yeah.

Are you dead?

No.

Pity.

Broken glasses.

Alien! OoOoh.

Where is that damn Phantomhive?

WHY ARE GUN RELATED CHANNELS BEING REMOVED FROM YOUTUBE? - Duration: 12:49.

Hello guys, are you alright? This is Marcos, from MPLA Airguns. We have been recently receiving news about YouTube removing channels.

Channels related to guns, some former channels on YouTube being deleted.

And I would like to bring this video to talk to you, more like a talk, an explanation, then a proper normal video of the channel.

Starting from some time ago, what happens? The USA has been suffering a wave of attacks associated with firearms.

There was a case, in Las Vegas, some time ago. And another one, more recently, one guy that entered in a school, and,

Shot and killed, 17 people (students) in that school.

This event had a huge repercussion, not only in the USA but also internationally.

We have today, in general, the society "Politically Correct", that is being positioned more to the Left (socialism/communism ideologies).

This channel is not about politics, but today I will need to talk a little bit.

There is a global tendency, done by external influences, politics of countries and people, to take the world to the "Politically Correct" and to the Left (socialism/communism ideologies).

But this channel is Conservative and talks about guns. It talks about an entertaining that is done by using guns.

In our case, Airguns. But also, there are people that use firearms to do that.

YouTube is managed by people (organizations) that tend to the Left. So, restrictions on guns, carrying weapons ban, etc.

All those topics that we, shooters, have been discussing in groups, on WhatsApp, on Facebook and Forums, that in general, our community is talking about.

Weapons licensing and carrying, legislation from government, in Brazil, Latin America, North America or here in Europe.

The topic of the permission about guns has been broadly discussed.

And in general, the Right (capitalism/liberalism/conservative ideologies) says that a regular citizen proved his/her physical and psychological aptitude,

With no criminal records, has the legal right of having a gun, in his/her house for your own defense.

But here in the UK, for example, the access to revolvers and pistols is denied to the population (even with a FAC License).

So, in here, if you want to buy a firearm, you will need to buy a rifle! A proper rifle in .22 or .38, but a pistol, or a revolver .38 you will not be able to buy.

So, somehow, these restrictions, are used even in countries like the UK. A country that is very similar to Brazil and Latin America in certain aspects.

So, what happened was, back to the original topic, of why YouTube is removing channels, there was a huge international repercussion,

In relation to this attack that happened in the USA. So, it was 17 deaths, a person entered in a "Gun Free Zone", so, in other words,

An area that should be free of guns, so those assassins, go to these places, where they know that there will be no one with a gun,

They know that their effectiveness in action will be much higher. They will be able to kill more people because there will be no one there able to defend other's life.

So, cowardly, they go to those areas gun free zones, like cinemas, schools, and do their attack there.

I do not think that giving a gun to a professor is a solution. But I believe in creating a legislation which people can have access to guns.

I believe in this. So, who wants to have it, and you are not forced to, but if you want to, you can have it, you can buy it,

If you are a good citizen, if you have all the physical and psychological aptitude, if you have all required, you should have the legal right to have a gun.

Or, at least you should have it.

And YouTube made itself against those attacks, in a way to ban and restrict, gun-related channels.

It would be like if someone was hit by a car, and now, you wanted to ban the cars. But it was not the car that hit the person, it was the driver who hit the other person.

So, it was not the gun that this guy used to kill the 17 people, that killed them. It was him, not the gun.

Here in the UK, recently, we had a case of a man, with bad intentions, wanting to kill other people. And what did he do?

He got a car, in London, and went hitting a lot of pedestrians, and when they stopped the car, he left with a knife and hurt many other people.

So, those who want to do the evil does not need a gun to do it.

So, YouTube is positioning against gun-related channels. Channels with serious content, former channels, channels of responsibility,

Channels with history in our community. Airguns of Arizona, Daystate, and others.

Channels receiving strikes, which is when there is a kind of report about a video or a channel. And if you have three of those, they not even ask why they just remove it.

And the answers are being automatic. People are saying: "We are not doing anything wrong! We are demonstrating a gun or doing a review of a gun.".

But apparently, YouTube does not care about it.

So, this channel took a position of total support to these channels that have been removed. Huge Channels, channels of real importance for Shooting Sports.

For those who want to have access to high-quality information, which is what this channel seeks for. These are invaluable losses.

So, from today, I have decided… today is 27th of Feb. 2018. I made a decision, and this channel (MPLA Airguns) will start to be shared on two platforms.

One is YouTube, once my channel did not have any strike (yet). I am too small; my relevance is almost nothing.

You do not subscribe to the channel! So, the channel is still very little! =(

So, I will start to share my videos on YouTube, and on Vimeo.

Vimeo is a platform, just like YouTube is. It has space to post videos. You can sign up and log in, you can give likes or dislikes, you can subscribe to the channel.

It will be the same content. I will start migrating the videos to there, and I will start, at some point, to post my videos on both platforms at the same time.

With subtitles, the same thing, in Portuguese, English, and Spanish. I will keep the content updated on these two platforms.

You, that is a shooting practitioner or an enthusiastic of shooting. Not everyone is a sportsman (or sportswoman?), but many people are enthusiastic.

You could help sharing this video with your family, in your community and friends. People who may be interested in shooting,

Even if you are from the Left. So, if you vote for Democratic (US), Labour (UK), or others, but if you are here, this is a sign that you do not agree with everything they do.

And you are probably in favor of more freedom about guns' regulations in your country.

So, even being aligned with the Left, please help. Even if you do not agree with this video, or giving a dislike to this video,

Please, still help, because you will be helping an entire community. People in other countries, suffering from these removals of their channels, but that is our friends.

So, I would like to ask for your help. Please, do what you can. Share this video, talk to your friends, and let's raise our community one more time.

This shock we received, comes against all we believe in relation to guns. And I believe that you agree with me somehow.

So, please, help! Help to share! If you like guns, if you are a shooting practitioner, if you shoot in cans, if you do anything you want with a gun, BUT…

You do it with responsibility, and understanding the severity of possessing, or carrying, or using a gun. If you understand all of this, please share this video.

This video is for you because this channel is for you. So, help us, please!

Ok?!

Thank you very much for watching until now. Please subscribe to this channel.

The link to VIMEO is the first link in the description, it is also showing here on the screen, and please subscribe there as well.

It is important that we keep this community active. And if we need to migrate to another platform, other than YouTube, we will migrate.

Ok?

Thank you, for watching. Subscribe, share and help us.

Greetings and good shots.

BREAKING Putin Shocks West: Nobody Listened To Russia; Listen To Us Now! - Duration: 2:57.

I will say once again what we have repeatedly told our American and European partners who are NATO members:

we will make the necessary efforts to neutralise the threats posed by the deployment of the US global missile defence system.

We mentioned this during talks, and even said it publicly.

Back in 2004, after the exercises of the strategic nuclear forces when the system was tested for the first time,

I said the following at a meeting with the press (It is embarrassing to quote myself, but it is the right thing to say here):

So, I said: "As other countries increase the number and quality of their arms and military potential, Russia will also need to ensure it has new generation weapons and technology.

In this respect, I am pleased to inform you that successfully completed experiments during these exercises enable us to confirm that in the near future,

the Russian Armed Forces, the Strategic Missile Forces, will receive new hypersonic-speed, high-precision new weapons systems

that can hit targets at inter-continental distance and can adjust their altitude and course as they travel.

This is a very significant statement because no country in the world as of now has such arms in their military arsenal."

End of quote.

Of course, every word has a meaning because we are talking about the possibility of bypassing interception boundaries.

Why did we do all this? Why did we talk about it?

As you can see, we made no secret of our plans and spoke openly about them, primarily to encourage our partners to hold talks.

Let me repeat, this was in 2004.

It is actually surprising that despite all the problems with the economy, finances and the defence industry, Russia has remained a major nuclear power.

No, nobody really wanted to talk to us about the core of the problem, and nobody wanted to listen to us.

So listen now.

March TBR & A New TBR Jar | 2018 - Duration: 8:23.

Hi, it's Maija here with my March TBR. I did so well with my February TBR, I got to

most of the books that I showed you, so I decided to do a March one as well. I will

first show you the books that I plan to read this month and then I will also

show you - I decided to do a TBR jar, I have never done one before - and I will

show you my challenges for it and pick one at the end of the video. From my

February TBR I'm currently reading Odininlapsi by Siri Pettersen - the

only book that I didn't get to at all in February was The Lie Tree, so that one

is still unread - but I started this one, I only read about 50 pages, so I can't say

much about it. It's a Norwegian fantasy novel and it doesn't have an English

translation as of yet. You might also know that I'm only trying to read one

book from the library per month, and the reservation that came in for me in

February was Annihilation by Jeff VanderMeer, which is the first in his

Southern Reach trilogy of science fiction novels, with perhaps some horror

tones? I've heard these are quite weird. And then there's also the movie that

just came out in the U.S, I believe. It'll only get a Netflix release in

Europe, so that's a bit of a bummer, but I am looking forward to reading this. As

you can see, it's quite short, so I think I will start this today or tomorrow and

try to finish it this week. Today, my March reservation from the library also

came in and I went to get it, and that is The Strange Case of the Alchemist's

Daughter by Theodora Goss. I have been wanting to read more from Goss ever

since I read Red as Blood and White as Bone, the novelette of hers. I don't even

know a lot about this book, it was just nominated for the Nebula awards, and I

only know it's about these female characters who are the daughters of

famous Gothic horror literary characters. So there's Mary Jekyll, Beatrice Rappaccini,

actually don't know that one, I will have to google it, Catherine Moreau,

and Justine Frankenstein. And I have no idea about the plot, but I really

liked Theodora Goss' writing style in the novelette that I read, so I'm really

looking forward to this one. I believe the second one is coming out

this year and I hope I really like this one, so I will have more to read then.

I also have one manga out from the library, and that is Natsume's Book of Friends Vol. 1

by Yuki Midorikawa. And this was recommended to me on Goodreads by

machinaheart. It is a fantasy manga about Takashi Natsume who can see the spirits

and demons that hide from the rest of humanity.

Then I also have a couple of buddy reads planned in March. The first is for The

Chrysalids by John Wyndham, which I'm planning to read with Kaitlin from

Kitty G next week. And I really liked The Midwich Cuckoos by John

Wyndham, which I read I think last year. And John Wyndham wrote a lot of science

fiction books in the 50s or so, and this one I think is about mutants. Then I'm

also going to be buddy reading Clockwork Boys by T. Kingfisher with Rachel from

Kalanadi during the last half of March. I think this is sort of a steampunk-ish

fantasy duology, I don't really know, because I just knew that T. Kingfisher

aka Ursula Vernon had a new book coming out, so I bought it. And this is a

duology, The Clocktaur War is the series, and the second book, The Wonder Engine,

just came out a day or so ago, and I already bought that one, as well, so I can

finish the series back-to-back if I feel like it. Then I also have a couple of

maybes. So these are the ones that I definitely want to try to finish in

March. It looks like quite a lot, it's one- two-three-four-five- six books, but one of

them is a manga and two of them are very short, I think three of them are quite

short, so I think I can do it. But then I'm just gonna show you a couple of the

maybes. So I just bought The Wicked and the Divine Volume 6: Imperial Phase

Part 2, so if I feel like it, I will reread volume five and then read this

one. My other maybes are short books that I think I'd want to read for my A to Z TBR

project. So if Chrysalids would be for C, I would have Agatha Christie's Death

in the Clouds for D - this is another Poirot novel - and then for G... I actually

don't have a physical TBR book starting with E, so we will go straight to G, and

for that I have Giants at the End of the World, A Showcase of Finnish Weird,

edited by Johanna Sinisalo and Toni Jerrman, which I got at Worldcon last year. And

this has a bunch of short stories from Finnish speculative fiction authors, such

as Pasi Ilmari Jääskeläinen, Johanna Sinisalo, Emmi Itäranta, Leena

Likitalo, Anne Leinonen, and there's also a sneak peek

Chapter One of Hannu Rajaniemi's upcoming book, Summerland. Then there's also this

mini-book, The Yellow Wall-Paper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman. This is one of

the Penguin Little Black Classics. I just visited the bookstore and decided to

pick this one up, and I also didn't have anything for Y for my A to Z project,

so now I have one. It's like 50 pages, I can read it quite quickly. I think

this is a classic short story about a woman who has depression. And then there's

one that I probably will not pick up, it's The Child Thief by Brom, which is a

retelling of Peter Pan, and next week there is AYearAThon with the theme

Retellings, and at the beginning of the year I had planned to read this one for

that theme, but I have other books and this is so chunky, so it's probably not

gonna happen. Okay, lastly, let's move on to the TBR jar. So I didn't do the one

where you write down every single book that you own that's on your TBR, I wrote

down some challenges instead. I watched a bunch of YouTube videos of other

people's challenges, and I think most of these challenges are from either

Elena and Janet's Shelf Slam that they did last year and Emma from Drinking by My

Shelf's Get a Hold of Your Shelf, I think that's what it was called, TBR challenge that

she also did last year. And then I also, I think, came up with a couple of

them myself - I might be fooling myself. So I'm gonna show you the

challenges and then pick one. I will drop them into this TARDIS mug slash cookie

jar - I have actually no idea what this is meant to be used for. I have used it for

storing tea bags in it, so it's gonna be my TBR jar now. So the challenges that I chose

are Children, Middle Grade or YA book, a Book haul revisit pick (so this

means a book that I have shown you that is still unread from my Book Haul Revisit

videos, Prettiest cover (completely my own decision), The longest book (I hope I will

not pick this one), Recent purchase, Shortest book, A classic, A try a chapter

pick (which means a book that I have shown in a Try A Chapter video), Released

in 2017, Longest title, Next in a series, One word title, Hardcover (I don't really

own that many hardcovers), Over 400 pages, and a New-to-me author. So now I'm

gonna mix these up in the TARDIS, across all time and space. "Space, the final frontier."

I don't know if this is actually doing anything. Okay, I'm gonna pick this one.

Hardcover. Okay, I'm gonna read a hardcover. I think I own, like, four unread

hardcovers or something. With a quick glance it seems like I own

five hardcovers that I haven't read yet, and I narrowed it down to these three:

Illuminae by Amy Kaufman and Jay Kristoff, The Beautiful Ones by Silvia

Moreno-Garcia, and The Just City by Jo Walton. I'm not quite sure which one

of these I will feel like reading the most, I am leaning towards either one of

these two. So at the end of March I will have to have read either Illuminae,

which would be a good pick since I don't have the letter I in my A to Z TBR

challenge yet, and The Beautiful Ones by Silvia Moreno-Garcia, which I just

really want to read. I bought this in December for my birthday book haul.

I already do have a B in my A to Z TBR challenge, but I just really want to read

this one. So at the end of the month we'll see

which one of those I decided to pick up. I think it might be Illuminae, since I

got it in January last year, so it is like a year old now. Those are all the

books that I'm gonna *try* to read in March, let me know in the comments how you feel

about these books, have you read them, and I will see you in my next video. Bye!

Philips Hue is the ultimate ecosystem for smart lights - Duration: 2:26.

(cheerful electronic music)

- Light bulbs, you plug them in,

and you forget about them until they die.

Then you change them

and move on with your incandescent life.

They can be harsh and even give you headaches.

And even the new soft white LED models are just boring.

I'm excited about the state of lights these days,

and you will be too once you see these lights from Philips.

And no, I'm not at a disco, I'm at a home, a Smart Home.

We're looking at the Philips Hue ecosystem,

and the best way to start with it is to get the starter kit.

You'll get three multicolor bulbs and a bridge,

which connects to your WiFi network

and makes these bulbs so magical.

These are in their third generation,

and the cyan, green, and blue, they're more rich.

And they've really improved the app as well.

You might be thinking, "Big deal!

"It's a goofy novelty!"

But I'm here to say, no!

This is actually useful and amazing!

You can preset all kinds of lights for whatever you need,

whether it's gaming, sitting back and relaxing,

movie night, getting the party started,

or even, my favorite, a nap.

The cool thing with Hue is how it works

with virtually every Smart Home system out there.

IFTTT, Apple HomeKit, Alexa, Cortana, SmartThings,

and my Smart Home gadget of choice, Google Home.

I love this thing with the Hue ecosystem.

Hey Google, turn the lights red.

- [Google Home] You got it, changing eight lights to red.

- Hey Google, turn the lights blue.

- You got it, changing eight lights to blue.

- Pretty cool, eh?

As with all ecosystems, the more you can invest,

the more you get out of it.

I recommend getting the Hue switch.

You don't have to wire it in to replace a light switch,

as it can attach anywhere you want.

You can add and control up to ten lights,

and hey, take the switch off the wall,

and carry it like a remote!

Just don't lose it in the couch

like the rest of your remotes!

As I said, the Hue's been around long enough

for a third generation release.

They've really ironed out a lot of the kinks

and it's a pretty mature system now.

I love the geekiness of, say, managing a family

by making the bulbs red when it's bed time, for instance.

I'm not a fan of being locked into an ecosystem,

but when it comes to lights,

I think it's close to a no-brainer

to go for Hue for your lighting needs.

And if you don't have lighting needs,

this will be something that once you have,

you won't understand how you lived

without Smart lights before.

It's addictive and fun.
