For a long time Sweden has been viewed as a standard of what a great society looks like

However Sweden is also a country that doesn't go without its fair share of problems

How's it going? Everybody my name is Leroy Kenton, and this is another episode of FTD facts?

And I'm before we continue guys if you love learning about our world give this video a big thumbs up and for all you newcomers

On FTD facts if this is your first video that you're watching don't forget to hit that subscribe button as well as that battle

Notification it is free we post videos

Daily here now before. I jump into the struggles of Sweden just gotta ask a question to you guys

What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think about?

Sweden let me know down there now

I want to start off with talking about the migrant crisis in Sweden back in the Year 2015 during the height of the refugee crisis

in Europe

Sweden was the country taking the maximum amount of refugees at almost 10,000 new immigrants coming in every single week

Now as Sweden had built a reputation as a humanitarian superpower for having the most welcoming refugee

policies and the most generous welfare programs in the European Union over the past 15 years around

650,000 asylum seekers made their way to Sweden now, this is causing things to not work out so well for Sweden

There's been a big lack of integration among

non-european refugees a huge percentage of immigrants of working age aren't

Actually working now check this Sweden has the largest gap between workers and non workers

Sweden also has the biggest employment gap in Europe between natives and non-natives

and the social strains continue to get even worse now because of the high volume of

immigrants that came in that affected of course the

Unemployment rate due to the huge influx of immigrants into Sweden it has struggled with a high unemployment rate and an expert

Actually said that Sweden is

statistically one of the worst countries at the integration for foreigners

This is mainly because Sweden is a highly complex country where you can't really get a job without

education and many of those who are coming into Sweden are uneducated in terms of their schooling and

Sweden foreigners and immigrants are three times more likely to be

Jobless than local people now of course most of us know that living in Sweden is

super expensive

So let's talk about the housing prices housing and apartment prices in Sweden are off the charts now

It's much harder in Sweden than any other country in the modern world to find a place to live especially

When you're looking in a big city like Stockholm

So of course it's much harder for people that didn't grow up in Sweden and that are well

Established to find good housing now this next struggle that Sweden is facing is kind of complex

I'm gonna do my best to kind of break it down and explain it simply for you the Swedish government is being forced to refund

billions in taxes after Swedes

Deliberately paid too much as a consequence of the negative interest rates being implemented in the country according to data

That was released by the government in 2017 Sweden completed

2016 with a budget surplus of 85 billion kroner, which is approximately nine point six billion u.s.

Dollars and around half of that was actually due to individuals and businesses

Paying more in taxes than they needed to as a means of

Actually making money the suit in taxation

System is set up in a way that allows Swedes to earn interest by paying more in taxes than they need to and leaving it

In their taxpayers payment accounts so this may benefit Swedes trying to save a bit of money

But it also costs the Swedish government a substantial amount in interest payments and finally

I want to look at the

educational system in Sweden Sweden once recognized for high quality education and known for things like free preschool

For most school at the age of seven no fee paying private schools as well

Well now it has seen its scores in program for international student

assessments Pisa

Assessments plummet in recent years this big decline in Sweden follows a large amount of changes in the late

1980s as well as the 1990s that transformed their entire educational world so if Sweden losing its prestige as

Being the epitome of what a great society should be join in on the conversation

Guys leave your thoughts and comments down below on your thoughts about Sweden. I can't wait to see you guys in another episode

"LOWRY" EQUALIZATION MANEUVER

Lowry equalization maneuver is a combination of Valsalva and Frenzel maneuvers.

It is performed by pinching the nose,

while we exhale through it and swallow at the same time.

It is employed when Valsalva alone is not effective.

STARGATE ORIGINS Ending and Movie Set-up Explained - Duration: 6:28.

Ever since MGM announced that it was making Stargate Origins as a 10-part Web series about

a young Catherine Langford, long-time fans of the TV and film franchise have wondered:

How could this story possibly fit into canon?

After all, when we first met her as an old woman Catherine didn't know how to open the

Stargate -- and had certainly never been through it.

So, what gives?

My name is Darren, you're watching GateWorld, and today we're talking about how Stargate

Origins ends ... and how it still manages to fit in with the movie.

So we're obviously going to spoil the end of Stargate Origins here.

So if you haven't watched it yet, this is your warning -- Turn back now!

Stargate Origins debuted online at Stargate Command in February of 2018.

And it was clear from the first frame that the story would have to thread a very fine

needle.

How could Catherine Langford even see the Stargate opened, let alone go through it,

if she needed Daniel Jackson's help in the 1994 Stargate feature film?

Not only that but fans of the TV series will also remember that Catherine turned up in

the first season of Stargate SG-1.

In the episode "The Torment of Tantalus" Daniel learns that experiments done on the gate in

1945 resulted in it being activated.

This was just dumb luck by randomly dialing without an address.

Catherine's fiance at the time, Ernest Littlefield, went through the gate and was lost.

In this episode Catherine doesn't know about this event until Daniel tells her.

When Daniel and Jack take her through the gate to find Ernest, it's pretty obvious from

her reactions that she's never been through the Stargate -- or so she thinks.

Here's where the writers of Stargate Origins come in.

They decided to tell the story of an adventure that Catherine had when she was younger, years

before the 1945 incident.

But, here's the key -- it's one that she doesn't remember.

There really are only a couple of ways to tell a story like this if you don't want to

violate Stargate's established continuity.

Either the older Catherine is lying in the movie and in SG-1 and deliberately manipulating

everyone around her, or she's going to have to forget about the entire event.

Origins goes for the latter, with the Goa'uld Aset using her hand device to wipe the memories

of Catherine, Professor Langford, and Kasuf.

Aset even plants suggestions in their subconscious minds.

She instructs Kasuf to the Abydonian city of Nagada and become the future leader of

his people -- just like he is in the movie.

She tells Catherine to return to Earth and organize a future rebellion against Ra -- subconsciously.

She even plants the idea of sending back an emissary who's wearing her amulet with the

Eye of Ra symbol on it, probably knowing the sway that symbol will have over the people

of Abydos.

That's the same amulet, of course, that will be worn by Daniel Jackson in the movie, the

first time he goes to Abydos.

So what Stargate Origins gives us is a reset button -- and unabashedly so.

So much so that the show actually cuts from this scene to a close-up shot of a giant button

being pushed as Beal is dialing the D.H.D.!

Now, make what you will of the way the story ends.

Some fans may not find a memory wipe all that satisfying.

Why does any of the story matter, right?

Why did I just watch it if everyone is either going to die or forget about what happened?

The surviving characters don't seem to grow or learn in any meaningful ways.

On the other hand, once the writers decided to tell this story, it kind of couldn't have

ended any other way.

It was a fun adventure along the way before that button got pushed.

It's important to note too that there is very little evidence of the incident left behind

on Earth.

Every character who went through the gate dies, with the exception of the mind-wiped

Langfords.

Kasuf retains no conscious memory of his meeting with offworlders, and Brucke's journal is

lost on Abydos after Beal's death at the threshold of the Stargate.

Back on Earth the only evidence that any of this ever happened is the fact that there's

a dead Nazi laying in front of the Stargate.

(I wonder how they explained that one!)

Now, what about Ra?

According to Origins, by the time the feature film rolls around he knew that the Tau'ri

had already opened the gate and come though to Abydos more than 50 years earlier.

But he evidently didn't do anything about it, like send a bomb to Earth or invade.

That's because, as far as he could tell, humans still weren't advanced enough to pose any

threat to him.

He just didn't care.

In the movie he's specifically concerned about the fact that, by then -- by the 1990s -- Earth

has learned to harness the power of the atom in its weaponry.

That's why he cares.

That's why he decides to send a bomb back through the Stargate.

So that's how Stargate Origins ends.

Ra rains fire down on Aset's temple.

He orders the Stargate moved, and Aset and her child are in the temple when it's destroyed

-- it's an execution.

The Harcesis is a forbidden child; they're not supposed to exist.

Now no longer will one of his underlings rule the planet in his absence.

The board is set for the events of the feature film.

From here Professor Langford would go on to study the gate as a mysterious piece of technology

rather than a mere artifact of antiquity.

When the U.S. military took over the project, Catherine would be pushed out -- although

in later decades it was up to her to keep the dream alive.

When Daniel Jackson solved the puzzle and opened the gate again, Aset's mental conditioning

kicked in -- prompting Catherine to encourage General West's plan to send an armed recon

team through the gate with weapons capable of standing up to the Supreme System Lord

... and with a familiar amulet to lead their way.

Origins!

The Water Treatment Process | Water Treatment | Irish Water - Duration: 5:30.

Water: it's our most valuable natural resource

We all need clean, safe water...

For our homes...

Our industries...

Our tourism.

A lot goes into ensuring our water is pure and safe to drink...

It all starts here…

Our water comes from sources like rivers, lakes, underground aquifers...

and reservoirs - just like this one.

This is called 'raw' water, because it's unsafe to drink.

It takes up to three days to transform raw water into safe drinking water.

Let's see how that happens.

The first stage takes place at the water source itself.

Larger materials like leaves, sticks - and sometimes even fish - are removed using a

process called 'screening'.

Next, the water comes here: to a water treatment plant.

This one in Ballymore Eustace, County KIldare, is the biggest water treatment plant in Ireland.

It supplies drinking water to over one million people every day!

Now let's look at the next stage in the treatment process.

It's called Clarification.

It removes small particles from the water.

First, a chemical called 'alum' is added to the water and mixed in well.

Then, the water is piped into these large settlement tanks.

Here, thanks to a chemical process known as 'flocculation', the alum and small particles

clump together to form larger particles called 'floc'.

This floc is heavy enough to sink to the bottom of the tank, where it forms a sludge.

This sludge is then pumped out of the tanks and treated elsewhere.

Meanwhile, back in the settlement tanks, the clarified water is drawn off at the top

into these special channels called 'weirs'.

And this is where it comes next.

These are the 'filtration tanks'.

The bottom of each tank is covered with sand.

The water passes through this sand and any fine dirt particles and micro-organisms get

trapped in the tiny spaces between the grains of sand, allowing only the water to pass through.

The sand is used over and over again for up to ten years so it has to be cleaned regularly.

This is done by blowing water and air through the sand to dislodge the dirt.

The clean sand can then be used to filter more water.

The water is almost ready to drink, but it could still contain tiny micro-organisms

that might cause illness.

So, it has to be disinfected, using a chemical called chlorine.

Fluoride is also added to the water to help prevent tooth decay.

Now the water should be safe to drink.

But before it leaves the treatment plant, it is tested to make sure.

Only when the water passes the highest quality standards is it allowed leave the plant.

The clean, treated water is then stored in a reservoir.

In this treatment plant the reservoir is underground.

Every day, water is treated just like this in over 1,000 Irish Water treatment plants

all over the country.

In fact, we treat 1.7 billion litres of water every day!

Before delivering it to homes and businesses via a vast network of underground pipes.

Water ready to be used wherever it's needed.

From a factory…

To a restaurant…

To a kitchen tap!

Water that's pure, natural and safe to drink.

Gimp: Pop Out Effect - Duration: 10:00.

In this Gimp Workshop we are going to apply a pop out effect.

If you want to follow along, you can find the download link

for the images in the video description.

When Gimp is open, we go to file, click open,

and here we search for the laptop image and open it.

Click on the zoom icon in the top right of the window to maximize the image.

Right click on the layer and click on add alpha channel.

Then we go to the toolbox and activate the paths tool.

Zoom very far in to the top left corner of the laptop screen

by holding the Ctrl key and rolling the mouse wheel.

Now click the first node, placing it more or less

on the inside of the edge of the screen, like so.

Then place the second node just around the corner,

hold the left mouse button down and drag it out a bit,

so you can make a curve with the handle.

When the curve looks good, you can let go of the left mouse button.

Now click and drag the handle back to its node,

and place it in the direction of the next to make node.

And that is all we need to know, to make a very precise selection with the paths tool.

Zoom out now.

Hold the space bar down and move the mouse without clicking,

to move the image to the next corner.

Let go of the space bar and zoom in again.

Then click a node just before the corner and let go of the mouse button.

The next node comes just around the corner.

Click and hold the left mouse button down while dragging the handle out,

and make another curve.

Then let go of the mouse.

Click and drag the handle back to its node,

and place it in the direction of the next to make node.

Zoom out again and move the image to the third corner.

Zoom in again.

Click another node.

Now click the next node just around this corner, hold the mouse button down,

drag out the handle and make the curve.

Then let go of the mouse and click and drag this handle back to its node,

and place it in the direction of the next to make node.

With Ctrl+Z we can undo the last action and try again.

Zoom out again and move the image to the last corner of the screen.

Zoom in again.

Click a node.

Then click the next node around the corner,

hold the mouse again and drag it out to make the curve.

Click and drag it back again.

Zoom out, move the image to the first node.

Zoom in again and place the cursor over the first node.

Hold the Ctrl key and when we see the connect chain icon,

we click in it to finish our path.

Go to view, zoom and click on fit image in window.

Now we can click on the button selection from path, or just hit enter to make our selection.

Go to select and hit feather.

We feather the selection with 5 pixels, so we can just click okay.

Go to edit and click on clear to remove the screen.

Now to select and here we click on none.

Then we click on a random tool to make the path invisible.

Go to file and click on open as layers.

We are going to bring the image with the baby into our project.

Search for it and open it.

Click and drag it below the laptop image.

Select the laptop layer and bring its opacity down to about 40.

Make the baby layer active.

Go to the menu bar, click on tools, transform tools and then on scale.

Click on the chain to lock it, so the proportions stay intact when we scale the image.

Make the image opacity about 40.

Now make the baby layer invisible by clicking the eye.

Scale the image like shown in the video.

Make sure that the baby hand is on the keyboard and,

the top of the head falls just outside the laptop screen.

We can move the image by click and drag the circle in the center.

When we think it looks good, we click on the scale button.

Make the baby layer visible again and activate the laptop layer.

Select the paths tool again.

Zoom in to the hand of the baby and click two nodes like so.

They should be within the edge of the screen.

Make the laptop layer invisible.

Now we can make a selection of the hand.

It looks like we are selecting the hand in the baby layer,

but we are actually selecting in the laptop layer.

Usually selecting works best when we stay just a little bit

within the boundarys of our subject.

For the sake of the tutorial we will go a bit fast forward.

When we are back at the first node, we place the last node over the first node,

press the Ctrl key and when we see the connect chain icon,

we click to close the path.

Press Ctrl+Shift+J to maximize the image in the window.

Click the button selection from path, or hit enter to make the selection.

Make the laptop layer visible, and make its opacity 100 again.

Go to select and click on feather.

Just click okay to feather the selection with 5 pixels.

Now go to edit and here we click on clear.

Then to select and click on none.

Click the smudge tool active.

Choose brush hardness 050, zoom in to the sleeve,

and smudge the edge a bit.

Now we are going to add some shadow.

Click on the dodge burn tool in the toolbox.

Leave the brush at hardness 050.

Make the size about 100.

Select the option burn and also the option highlights.

Make the exposure 100.

Make in one stroke a shadow on the laptop under the arm.

When we do multiple strokes, we get double shadows, like so.

I will undo this with Ctrl+Z, and make the shadow anew.

Then we can make some shadow on the keyboard under the hand.

Here we can click multiple times.

When it is to your liking, you can hit Ctrl+Shift+J again, to maximize the image.

To finish of, we will crop our image, to make it a bit more dynamic.

Activate the crop tool in the toolbox.

Select the option fixed aspect ratio.

Now make a cut out, more or less like so.

Click and drag the handles and or the corners, to make corrections,

and click and drag inside the image to move the cut out.

When you feel its okay, you can hit enter or click inside the cut out to crop the image.

Then press Ctrl+Shift+J again.

And there we have it; a nice pop out image.

I hope you have enjoyed watching or maybe making this tutorial.

If that is the case, please be so kind to give it thumbs up,

maybe leave a nice comment,

and subscribe if you have not done already, to support my channel.

I would appreciate that very much.

Thanks for watching.

VOLKSWAGEN POLO GT TSI - First time DSG - Surprising Driving Reaction | First Drive Review 2018 - Duration: 6:41.

Now let me talk about my driving experience. The first thing that you will notice about this

car is the gearbox.its so smooth. In the normal mode u just can't feel when the gear is changing.even

when u suddenly push the accelerator the car changes gear so easily that it's just amazing

to drive a car with this kind of gearbox. Now u know that the gearbx is amazing but that's

not all we have to two more modes.one is sports where if u want the engine to rev more that

change faeer at a higher rpm you can use this mode but that's not all there's a manual mode

too where you can change gears manually.Just move the gear up and down to change gears

without worrying about clutch.

And the best thing is suppose you are slowing and don't change gears the car won't stall

it will just automatically gear down aMazing right!.

It also has the crawl feature where if you dont press on the acrekarator and put the

car in drive mode the the car starts moving slowly a good feature for driving in number

to number traffic.

Moving on from the gearbox the car felt almost similar to the regular polo interms of handling

and suspension.

I could not test the acceleration well because there was too much traffic but I know that

driving this car is going to be fun on both highways as well as the city.

What do you think about this car?let me know your thoughts in the comments section below.
