I had to be a Christian - Peter Kreeft Signposts Review - Duration: 6:15.
good morning and welcome to another day in #vlent today is Friday and we're going to
try out a new segment where I talk about the latest short video for the Coming
Home Network, and this week, I have to tell you I've been geeking out, because I
got to interview Peter Kreeft, coming up.
So last week I was traveling around the Boston area with my coworker Matt Swain
and we had the amazing opportunity to interview someone who was a hero to both
of us, Peter Kreeft. He has written so many
books and a number of his books helped me in my journey into the Catholic
Church. I want to share a little clip of that interview right here. The one thing
I knew for sure was not whether I should be a Catholic or a Protestant but I had
to be a Christian. Christ was my Lord, I had to follow him
wherever he led me, and he led me out of my familiar and beloved little
Protestant lifeboat into this big smelly thing called Noah's Ark I had to follow,
although I didn't want to. That was my absolute, so reading the New
Testament with Protestant eyes and Catholic eyes, the Catholic eyes made a
lot more sense of some of the passages, and to say you can just skip the whole
history of the church as if those 1500 years didn't exist and go from 1517 back
to 33 AD is a little dishonest, here is data. How could the church have gotten
almost everything wrong so soon and the Holy Spirit fell asleep for 1500 years,
that didn't make much sense. So if you want to see the entire video you can
click the link right up here, and and I encourage you to check out the Coming
Home Network YouTube channel it's been something that I've been developing the
past couple of years and I'm continuing to develop and trying to find new ways
to share stories of people that had become Catholic and Peter Kreeft
has such an amazing story. He is a convert himself, he is a professor of
philosophy at Boston College, he is brilliant, and he has written a number of
books and I've mentioned a couple of his books on my videos before. One of my
first books that I read and I was looking into the Catholic Church was
Catholic Christianity. It's a collection of his essays
where he looked at the catechism of the Catholic Church and he wrote these
essays to kind of explain parts of the Catechism to someone who is not a
Catholic. Putting the language of the Catechism into language that a Protestant could
understand, language that he would have understood before he became Catholic. and another
really interesting book that he wrote was called between heaven and hell
based on the true fact that CS Lewis, Aldous Huxley, and John F Kennedy all
died within a few hours of each other, and so this book is looking at this kind
of imaginary perspective of, you know, what if the three of them met on the way
to heaven, they're sitting around a table, and talking about what they expected to
come after that moment for the rest of eternity. CS Lewis came from the
traditional judeo-christian viewpoint Aldous Huxley came from the Eastern
viewpoint, you know the eastern philosophy, viewpoint and Kennedy came
from the modern humanistic viewpoint, and a really interesting kind of imaginative
conversation that these three might have had. which i think is something that's
really great about Kreeft, he is a Catholic and yet he is one of the top
C.S. Lewis scholars in the country and what he writes about it doesn't have to be
always Catholic, you would expect something to be very Catholic to be, but
like Lewis he writes about a lot of things that all Christians can look to,
that all Christians can hold in common, and so I encourage you to find some
Peter Kreeft books to read them, as I said he's brilliant. Check out the video and
and check out the coming home Network YouTube channel. I think it is such a
blessing that God has allowed me to share so many great stories on YouTube
for my job and I'm glad that I can share my story now here and I'm glad that you
can share with me some of your story in the comments and
I I've said I'm just so blessed from everything that's happened in the last
month or so on my channel in the last couple years on the coming home networks
channel that... yeah, I think that's how I can say that I've just been so blessed
in being able to share all these stories, and if you're not a Catholic and you
have questions about the Catholic Church I encourage you to leave them in the
comments below but I also encourage you to check out CHNetwork.org, the Coming Home Network.
There is a pastoral staff that would be happy to talk to you one-on-one
there's a community website with a forum for all members where there are lively
discussions about faith, about the sacraments, about Mary, but lots and lots
of topics, and there are people on all parts of the journey there. and so I
encourage you to check out the coming home Network website CHNetwork.org. so
remember next week easter is coming up, if there's a convert in your life you
are convert and you want to encourage their journey deeper into the Catholic
Church remember the Tiber River swim team shirt 2000 to 2018, you can get any
one of those years. If you know someone who has swum the Tiber, get them this
t-shirt and show them that they're on the winning team. That's so dorky,
I'm sorry, I just had to say it. and if you use the coupon code thatNerdyCatholic
you will get 10% off your first order. so you can watch another video up
here if you like what I'm doing on this channel you want to become part of this
community you can click that subscribe button. hit that like button if you like
this video and that little church bell to get a notification on when I put
up a new video. I'll see you again tomorrow and god bless.

Essence Of Murli 24-03-2018 - Duration: 6:41.
Om Shanti !
Today's Murli Date Is 24th March 2018
Essence:Sweet children, you are on a spiritual pilgrimage.
You have to forget the consciousness of bodies and the old world and return home.
Stay in remembrance of the one Father.
Question:What should each one of you ask yourself as a detached observer?
Answer: Just as the Father, as the detached Observer, observes the stage of each one to see what they are like
and whether they experience supersensuous joy having attained the Father,
similarly, ask yourself: To what extent do I consider myself to be fortunate?
How much happiness do I have? Have I claimed my full inheritance from the Father?
Have I created heirs? Have I become a charitable soul by burning my sins away with the power of yoga?
( Baba is asking to do self check on above. This will reveal to usHow satisfied am i ? To what extent have i become Baba's heart throb ? )
( This will also help us understand - to what extent have i progressed in making efforts ? )
Song: O traveller of the night, do not become weary! The destination of the dawn is not far off.
Essence for dharna: 1. Stay on the first-class spiritual pilgrimage that the Father has taught you.
Forget everything else, including your body by following shrimat.
2. Never become weak or have a doubtful intellect because of the storms of Maya.
Never become confused about anything.
Blessing:May you be a master almighty authority who with realisation becomes powerful from being weak.
The basis of humanity in human life is the soul.
What type of soul am I? What am I? If you were to realise this,
then peace would become your religion. I am an elevated soul, a child of the Almighty Authority.
This realisation makes you powerful from weak.
Such powerful souls or master almighty authority souls can do what they want. They can do whatever they want in a practical way.
Slogan: Those who are great donors with their minds can never be dependent on their thoughts.
To the sweetest, beloved, long-lost and now-found children, love, remembrance and good morning from BapDada and sweetest Mama.
The spiritual Father says namaste to the spiritual children.
We spiritual children convey to spiritual Baapdada, our love our remembrance, our good morning & our namaste namaste
Om Shanti !

RECHARGE Yourself: Ep 1 Soul Reflections: BK Shivani (English Subtitles) - Duration: 28:37.
Greetings and welcome to Awakening With Brahma Kumaris
We are starting a new series today and Sister Shivani is with us. Welcome, Sister
Om Shanti.
Om Shanti and welcome to Soul Reflections.
Thank you.
The spirit within needs to be nurtured
And no amount of worldly glory or power or wealth
Is going to make one radiate.
Beautiful.
The spirit within. What does within mean?
Whenever we thought of who we are, we would see this physical body in the mirror.
We said the spirit within - the soul within - needs to be nurtured.
Spirituality taught to us - I am the soul who lives within this body.
So we will change it a little bit and say - I the spirit who lives in this body - I need to be nurtured daily.
The second line is very beautiful. No amount of wealth, power or glory can make me radiate.
Today the goal in our life has become earning money, name, fame, glory, and power.
When we forgot that we are the souls, the purpose of our life was only to achieve all this.
Because we got so involved with that purpose, we did not even think of nourishing the soul.
Waking up in the morning we say we need to get ready, drink coffee, have breakfast, leave for work and so on.
We also take care to water the plants.
Because we know that the water will nurture those plants.
Even the body needs tea, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Because they nurture the body. So we know about nourishment and nurturing.
We are also nurturing throughout the day, whatever needs to be nurtured outside.
We are nurturing our children, our body, plants and trees in our garden. Then we set out for work for the rest of the day.
What has been the purpose of our life?
I need power, I need wealth, I need name, fame, money.
What do we want to give our children?
Name, fame, money, power, good education.
Why good education? So that tomorrow they will earn name, fame, money, power - which is important.
We need money and power. But all these things are getting outside, while we earn them, if I the soul did not nourish myself.
The one who has to go out throughout the day and earn all the things
But it is not visible. If I do not put petrol in my vehicle, it will not move. If I do not water plants, they die.
If we do not water plants for 2 days, they start wilting. Today we have started to wilt or fade.
Today we have started to wilt. Even on small issues, we start becoming like this. This is also like wilting.
The moment situation comes, we become like this. Somebody says a word or two, we become like this.
Even if it does not show on our face, if we had that practice of not showing it, we need to check within at least.
Whether the flower within is blossomed or is it wilting even for small things.
God gives us a beautiful line - do not be like the Touch Me Not plant (Chui-Mui in hindi).
God says that our life has also become like that today. Somebody says something unpleasant, if there is a small situation, call a person's words for not to your liking, we start becoming like this.
Knowing that we are becoming like this, should we not take care to nourish ourselves? I nourish myself so that I remain blossomed like this throughout the day.
I met Dadi Gulzar at the centre. I always used to overthink. Dadi Gulzar said - "Always keep a smile on your face. And always keep a rose in your hand. You can see it and like it remains bloomed, you also be like that."
See, this is such a beautiful line.
I was expecting her to give a Mantra.
Now I realize that they cannot be a bigger Mantra then this.
How should I be the whole day? Like a blossomed flower.
Let us just see what a blossomed rose gives everybody. Fragrance and a smile.
A rose can be used for different situations. It can be used in a function. It can also be used while mourning over a dead body.
It means it can be used in happy occasion or a painful occasion.
During a victory, it is worn as a garland, and also when a person dies.
But how is the rose in both the situations? The flower is not changing.
You clarified the meaning even further. So Dadi Gulzar means that regardless of your situation, in whatever situation you are placed, remember to be like the rose.
And like the quotation that you just read - Radiate.
It radiates beauty, it radiates fragrance. We smile the moment we see it. It means the moment somebody meets us, what should they get from us?
Till here it is clear - we need to nourish ourselves, blossom like a rose, be happy and make others happy. But how to nourish the self?
How do you nourish plants and trees? With water.
How do you nourish the body? With food and water.
What do we give to the soul for its nourishment? The soul which drives the body does a lot of things throughout the day.
I the energy runs this body. We create thoughts and after thinking we take a decision. After taking a decision will bring it out into action through this body.
So the power or energy which operates this body is - I the soul.
My first responsibility is that I have to run this body.
Second, the whole day you are out in your work, whether it is acting or any other profession.
Who is the doer? The soul.
Before doing anything we need to think, take a decision and then bring it into action. Who does all these three things? I, the energy. I will do it through this body.
But I cannot do any work without thinking. When there is a thought created, then work can happen.
So whether it is a small task or a big task, the doer is I the soul.
We say the whole day we are busy earning money, power, fame, glory. Who is the one earning all of this? I the soul.
You said we are taking care of our kids the whole day. Who is the one taking care? I the soul.
Is there anything which I the soul is not doing?
The moment the soul leaves the body, the body cannot do anything on its own.
So the body cannot do anything, the responsibilities end, kids are there but you cannot help them. Because the energy has left.
Who is the one doing everything the whole day? I the soul.
A tree cannot survive without water, vehicle cannot move without fuel, mobile cannot function without being charged, the body cannot sustain without food. But I the soul - I am going on and on, doing everything without being nurtured. Today we have seen its results.
We are seeing the results. We started to get angry or upset even at small things. This means we the soul is wilting or faading.
It means a weak soul. Whom do we call a weak soul? When we are not nourished.
But sister with plants it is reversible. Even if it has wilted or started drying, if we water it for 2 days, it starts growing again.
It is same for the soul also. For many years or probably for many lifetimes we have not nurtured the soul.
We did not know the meaning of nurturing the soul.
Instead of using pure water, if we use impure water on plants.
The plant would die.
Similarly instead of nurturing the soul with whatever is healthy, if we feed it with things that are not right, then we will see the result of that also.
You said we were not aware that the soul needs to be nurtured. Still life was going on. We would wake up, get ready and go for work. We would come back in the evening and spend time with family.
The next day it would be the same routine. Life went on this way for many years.
We got angry at times or sad but we will be fine soon. Life went on. We could live with many people together. You could adjust with them but sometimes got angry at them, but again we were fine. Life was going on.
Even if we were not nurturing the soul, you not giving the soul many wrong things. Every morning we used to do Pooja or say prayers and the rest of the day used to be normal.
So even the few minutes of Pooja or prayer was nourishment for the soul.
The rest of the day would be ordinary. Sometimes a little up and down but best of it was fine.
Both mind and body were going fine.
There were very few treatments at that time as compared to what we have today.
But illnesses were also very few. Relationships were harmonious.
Sometimes a little here and there but otherwise fine.
If we see only in the last 15 or 20 years
We haven't nurtured the soul but we have started to feed the soul a lot of negative things
Which are harmful for the soul.
You might have seen in your own life span
For 50 years you may not have nurtured the soul much, but you did not feed the soul with much either.
We were going on like that. But if you look at the last 20 years
We have not nurtured the soul, but we have started to feed it with a lot of wrong things.
That is the inflow of Information and all kinds of media.
If you look at the present situation because of that
Mental illnesses and physical illnesses have increased.
Conflicts in relationships are increasing.
And yet even now we are not stopping to ask ourselves - what is the solution?
We are only talking about the problem.
Depression has increased, diabetes has increased, cardiac problems have increased, the divorce rate has increased. We are talking about all these.
Road rage has increased, abuse has increased, child abuse has increased. We are talking about all this and we read about all this.
What is the solution?
Nurturing the soul.
Once I had bought a new vehicle and wanted to have petrol field in it.
There were heavy rains and even flooding. So the petrol that he put in my vehicle that got mixed with water. It was so painful to get the vehicle repaired after that incident.
They are things which we can see and understand visibly. But what we are discussing today
We read about them but till now why did not know that the soul has to be nurtured.
Even if you are not nurturing plants and trees with water
This is what has happened in the last 15 to 20 years.
Why are children getting so influenced today?
Information. They are not getting nurtured. Schools are giving them an education. But the soul is not getting nurtured.
They are not getting nurtured but at a young age, they have iPads and iPhones in their hands.
They have gadgets. There is violence even in the cartoons which they are watching today.
If children start getting these things at a young age, when will the soul get nourished?
They learn things like "bad man" and say that to other children when they fight. They watch it there and say such things here.
Power of media.
From the quotation that you read, if our life goes on like this
If I the soul, continue doing everything that I have to do without nurturing myself.
If I do not nurture myself but I continue to execute all my responsibilities
And while executing my responsibilities, if I am not happy
I live a life of struggle.
It's going on, we are dragging ourselves to do things, we are tired but getting things done.
I am imagining the scene where we have a wrong fuel filled in the vehicle. So there is enormous smoke from the exhaust which is affecting the other vehicles behind the car.
Which means we are harming even the other generation.
Today we are seeing that the pollution levels in the city are increasing.
We are looking for all the solutions for this pollution - not to use certain vehicles older than 10 years, not to use a certain fuel and so on
But we are not looking for solution for this pollution.
And like you said, if you water the plants once again for just 2 days they will start growing and blooming again.
Similarly if you start nurturing the soul even for a few days, that soul will once again blossom.
That soul will get rid of depression, the mind will get rid of sorrows, body will start becoming healthy.
The dosage of medicine for BP will reduce, knee pain will reduce. That soul's relationships will become beautiful.
Sometimes when I look at the plants at home, it will seem as if it has completely dried up. But still, when I start nurturing it, just a small little leaf will start growing.
We spend a lot of time in our garden also every day.
If someone has to take care of his garden, he will at least spend half an hour there daily.
He will check every single plant. Even when he passes by the garden he will keep an eye on it.
So beautiful. Just see we're talking about plants in our house.
Besides we take care of the children, of the family and everything else without taking care of the Self
But if we first take care of ourselves and then take care of everything else, can we imagine how our quality of life will be?
Not only that, if we first take care of ourselves and then our children, that the quality of nurturing for the child will be different.
Today my soul feels like a dead body so I will use anger to teach my child.
But if the soul was nurtured, I would have taught him with so much love.
If you scolded him while teaching then you definitely did not nurture. But you did something else
Suppose you water a plant, being angry at it.
The poor plant will wilt or dry.
Poor plant. What about the child, will he not wilt?
We can see it when a plant dries.
Just for 4 days, give it water but also scold a plant.
Today we are feeding a child, but along with that we are scolding him. We ask the side to study but along with that we scold him.
Just like you water a plant but along with that you scold it.
This happened in a village. People sat around a tree and were cursing it. It died.
Anybody can experiment this.
The other day I met a lady. She has 2 staff members to water her garden.
One of them would water the plants with love. The other one would water it just for the sake of doing it, disinterested.
The lady said she could see the difference in the results.
I have an example from just 8 days ago.
Certain birds come to our balcony. Since we were out for a week I told my staff to regularly add grains in a bowl for the birds.
But when I came back the ball was still full, so I asked them how come the birds did not eat at all.
The staff told me not a single bird came. I said I was on a vacation but the birds were not.
The way or the thoughts with which the birds were given the grains matters. Not a single bird came. So after coming back, I sent them very pure thoughts.
I put away the old stuff and brought new ones so that the bird came back.
Beautiful. Whose influence was this on the birds?
The quality of the thought that the soul is radiating.
We can actually see the effects of these things. But we look at them and still walk away.
We see this and that happening, and then we move on.
But we are seeing the effect. When the effects of your thoughts can influence plants, birds animals, nature and on children
It is influencing our family and even our physical body. So how much will it affect our own self?
When your thought can influence another mind
Then how much will your thought influence your own mind?
Because we think about other people only for a few minutes. For how long can you think of a bird in an entire day?
Still it had an influence on the Bird.
But the thoughts that we are creating the whole day - how much will they influence our own self?
They went on affecting us again and again, and we are seeing its consequences life.
So today we need to stop and take back that line - I the spirit needs to be nurtured. I need to do it for myself.
Without taking care of it we cannot just go on. For how long can we sustain if we do not take care of this body?
Today we will finalize one thing - I the soul will start nourishing myself.
I am going to feed myself whatever is healthy.
So should we give good thoughts in this case?
You cannot give good thoughts to yourself. It cannot be given. Good thoughts are the result.
When you nurture the soul, good thoughts are the result.
Each of us needs to finalize for our self - if our thoughts are not pure or good
If we create anger or hurt or jealousy for somebody at small things, comparison, competition - if we get such thoughts
If we start thinking only about ourselves and cannot do anything for other people
These are all indicators that I the soul I'm not nourished.
When I the soul is not nourished, then any amount of wealth, glory or power cannot make me radiate.
I love this word Radiate.
Just like how Gulzar Dadi told me - to radiate like a rose.
What does a rose radiate - look at the color, look at the vibration, look at the fragrance.
It does not matter to a rose whether you keep it at somebody's feet, on a dead body or in a temple. No jealousy that I was kept here or there.
What it means is that - I the soul have achieved a lot externally.
But if I have not nurtured soul then I cannot radiate.
Today in order to radiate, what not are we trying to do to our body? We are doing so much for the face to look beautiful.
Just to look good.
We put drops into the eyes for it to sparkle. We use liners so that the eyes stand out or radiate.
But when we smile, it is not expressed in the eyes.
We are doing all these things to radiate, is it not?
But when they smile we can make out if it is a real one or not, from their eyes. Because the expressions show in the eyes.
One is that there is a smile on the face. Other is that the Soul or mind is smiling and that is showing on the face.
Both are completely different.
When just the lips smile, it cannot radiate because there is no vibration at all.
If you are sad from within but smile outside, what vibration will you radiate?
And it seems artificial.
The more a soul is deprived of nourishment and is weak, the more we need think outside of us. This is a simple equation.
The more I the soul am not feeling nice, the more I need other things and I will want to achieve more, and I will want to buy more expensive things - to feel better.
Suppose there is a plant which has started to fade or dry. It is placed at the side. And suppose you have a party at home.
The plant will not look attractive or good.
But there is a party or function so people are coming home. So what you would do is
You will have to decorate the plant externally.
Now just look at this plant. It is wilting from within. But we have put a lot of decorative items around it so that it somehow looks beautiful.
And other thing is, there is a rose plant around which you have not added anything to decorate it.
But that plant is radiating its originality and vibrancy.
Can you visualise the difference in both the plants?
One looks original and the other looks artificial.
This one is radiating its originality and the other is only covered with outer decorations though it is wilting from within.
Between these two we need to see which one our life matches with.
Which is our life between them?
Are we radiating from within? Or, are we doing things externally by earning name fame, wealth, expensive clothes, our position - and trying to decorate ourselves?
How much ever we try to decorate, which does not mean we should not achieve or not buy
Buy and achieve.
But however but you decorate, unless you radiate your originality (it does not matter). That quotation was very beautiful.
In the next episode I shall ask you how to radiate, Sister.
Thank you so much. Om Shanti.
Thank you.

China to retaliate against new U.S. tariffs, stoking fear of trade war - Duration: 2:14.
The Trump administration announced a host of new tariffs on goods from China.
The decision follows a seven-month investigation into what Washington calls Beijing's theft
of intellectual property..., an issue that's long stood in the way of the two country's
trade relations.
The Asian giant vowed to formulate a resolute response.
Park Hee-jun zooms in on what could be a prelude to a trade war.
U.S. President Donald Trump's plan to impose tariffs on up to 60 billion U.S. dollars worth
of Chinese goods... has stoked fears of a trade war between the world's two biggest
economies.
According to Trump, China is responsible for the loss of thousands of American jobs and
a U.S. trade deficit worth hundreds of billions.
"But we have a trade deficit, depending on the way you calculate it, of 504 billion dollars.
Now some people would say it's really 375 billion dollars.
Many different ways of looking at it but any way you look at it, it is the largest deficit
of any country in the history of our world.
It's out of control."
But the administration said it's a retaliatory move against what it calls China's use of
pressure and intimidation to steal U.S. intellectual property.
In addition to the tariffs, the Trump administration also plans to restrict new Chinese investment
in America and take action against China at the World Trade Organization for what it calls
unfair trade practices.
The Chinese embassy in Washington, vowed to "fight to the end" in any trade war with
the United States.
Beijing's Commerce Ministry also announced in a statement that it plans to slap a 15-percent
tarriff on 120 categories of American agricultural and steel goods, and take legal action against
the U.S. at the WTO.
The prospect of a global trade war sent stock markets reeling.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell almost 3 percent after the announcement,... and fears
were even more evident in Asian markets, where in Hong Kong the Hang Seng fell as much as
3.7 percent and Japan's Nikkei by about 3.9 percent.

Michelle, seems like conditions are finally warming up, but that also brought fine dust.
I hear it's going to get worst tomorrow.
Daniel, more smog from China is expected to blanket the peninsula,... dragging the air
quality to bad levels.
The whole nation can expect high concentrations of dust during the weekend.
And for the time being, thick fog is likely to lower visibility in the morning, so pay
extra attention on the roads.
The nation will kick off Saturday with chilly readings,...
Seoul starting the day at 4 degrees Celsius, Chuncheon chillier at zero degrees while Busan
is warm at 7 degrees Celsius.
The whole nation will see a huge jump into the afternoon,...
Seoul reaching 13 degrees while it's going to be milder everywhere else.
By the middle of next week, the mercury will rise even up into the twenties for Seoul,...
under clear sunny skies.
I'll leave you with the weather conditions around the world.

Redbird Vintage Box - March Unboxing - Duration: 12:29.
Hello everyone! Kat here and I've got...a box!
This is going to be the Redbird Vintage Box monthly subscription box unboxing.
How many times can I say box?
If you want to count in this video, let me know in the comments down below how many I come up with.
I'm actually kind of curious now.
Anyways, so I received my Redbird Vintage Box and I got the same size as I usually do,
it's the Laurene, which is their largest box.
It's $100 plus shipping, which is $10 so it comes out to be $110.
And it looks smaller than usual.
Am I crazy or is it a little smaller?
Maybe I just have smaller items in this box this time, but I kind of want to do like a side-by-side comparison
with a previous video to see if it's actually smaller.
It seems to be, but that might be my imagination.
I don't know, anyways I'm excited to see what's in here.
So let's hop right in.
Okay, let's see what's inside here.
So as always it is wrapped in some lovely pink tissue paper.
And the first item on top is the general card that's always in here.
It says "Yay! It's Redbird Vintage Box day."
And it's got an explanation of all the details about the different boxes
and then on the other side is a list of the items in your individual box,
so I'm not gonna look at this just yet because I like to be surprised,
but I like to look at it at the end and kind of see all the details.
And then we've got a cute little photo on here and on the back it says
"It's March. This glorious month celebrates many special days including but not limited to national pig day,
"old stuff day," I didn't know either of those,
"Oscar night, International Women's Day and the luckiest of all days St. Patrick's Day."
Let's see what is in my box here.
So I'm gonna look at the--
Aw, that's cute.
I'm gonna look at the accessories pouch first.
Isn't that adorable?
They decorates their packaging with either broken or not authentic vintage items
as a little add-on accessory thing.
And this is a little brooch and look how cute, it's so sparkly.
I'm gonna put it on right now. It's what I do.
Isn't that awesome?
I feel like this would look really cute on like a handbag.
All right let's see what's in here.
It feels pretty full.
Alright, first thing is--
(gasps) Be still my heart!
It's a black cat!
Aww.
If you haven't seen my videos before, I have a black cat.
Her name is Mary and she is the sweetest thing on the planet.
And they gave me a black cat brooch.
Aww.
I don't know why this makes me feel like emotional. What is up with me?
But that is so adorable and there's also another brooch in here
and I had requested on one of--
I'm not sure if it was this exact one or not, but they have some images on their Instagram that you can request
from and I said oh that one's cool, I would like something like that and it was a face.
I just thought
that was really neat and this lady is like super stylish, her eyelashes are on fleek.
Do people still say that, on fleek?
I'm not with the times, kids.
Anyways, I think that's gonna be, that black cat's gonna be my favorite item
and it was the first thing, so that's fun.
And, ooh.
Wow, oh my gosh that's so pretty.
What?
This is so gorgeous.
I think it's tiger's eye.
This beautiful long chain with this pendant.
These are my favorite kinds of necklaces where it's just a long chain with a statement
kind of pendant on it and this is just,
this is perfect.
Wow I love this so much.
On to the next one.
Oh it's another tiger's eye thing.
This is another necklace.
Oh, this would be great for layering the two together.
Oh that's gorgeous.
It's got like a geometric kind of centerpiece here and tiger's eye beads.
Oh that's so pretty.
We're still going, there's still two more things in here.
We've got a ring.
I love rings, I'm kind of obsessed.
This is really pretty, it's like almost got like a kind of scroll design.
That's beautiful.
And I was actually just thinking when I was doing my jewelry collection declutter
I don't have a lot of gold rings, so I like that I have another gold one to put in my collection.
We've got one more thing in here.
So this was an add-on item that I forgot I got.
I actually got this for a gift for a friend because they are into cameras
and it actually looks a lot cooler in person.
So this was only I think it was like, I don't know, a few dollars.
The add-on items are items that are either damaged or not authentic vintage
and you can get them for really cheap,
so I picked this one up for a friend and it's got this really cool like domed part for the camera lens
which is really neat.
It looks even cooler in person.
All right, on to everything else in here.
So it looks like there are some scarves on top, that's my guess.
So we've got this light blue one,
just a small square scarf with flowers on it, very cute.
And then here's another one.
Oh, I love this purple.
This is one of my favorite colors.
Actually it might be, my favorite color I'm always torn between this and the burnt orange
like 70s kind of color as my two favorite colors.
So this one's a little bit larger square scarf, very cute.
And then one more square scarf here.
Another little one that's a really pretty pink, kind of a deep pink.
So now we've got, looks like a couple clothing items in here
and these were the items that I requested, so yeah they are both things that I requested.
So this is a 90s like velvety dress and I think Sarah was showing this,
yes in one of their YouTube videos, which if you're not subscribed to them you definitely should.
I'll link them down below and in the cards if I can do that.
So yeah, this is just a really pretty velvety dress.
So I was born in the 90s and I'm kind of on the same page as Sarah where I'm like 90s isn't vintage yet.
But I guess it is.
But I like 90s dresses so I'm okay with that.
It still it feels like 90s shouldn't be vintage yet because it was so not that long ago,
it feels like to me, but I'm sure some of you are like "Oh my god you're so old," but whatever.
I think this dress is really pretty.
And then the other item that I requested from that same YouTube video,
there were a lot of good stuff in that YouTube video in my opinion anyway,
was this this long jean skirt.
And I never thought that I would get a jean skirt to be honest, but I saw it in the video
and I was like, I feel like I could rock that.
I used to have, it wasn't like a miniskirt, it was like knee-length jean skirt
and that was one of my absolute favorite things in the world in like middle school and high school,
probably middle school.
But I saw this and I was just like yeah I could do it.
I can pair that with like a plain long-sleeve white shirt and I feel like that would be pretty darn cute for Spring.
So anyways that is everything from this box.
So, smaller box size but packed with amazing stuff and I don't know how Sarah does it,
but she found wonderful things that I really love
and this black cat just, this is definitely my favorite.
It's so cute!
So that's it for the unboxing.
I feel like this was, I always have fun with these because, A, they're vintage.
They're secondhand so it's not contributing to the waste of the clothing industry
and all of the environmental damage that all of the clothes getting thrown away causes.
B, this stuff is really great quality, it's in amazing condition.
And, C, it's so customizable and Sarah always finds really great stuff for me.
Sometimes stuff that I don't think I'll love that I do end up loving
and just some stuff that I know are absolutely, I'm instantly in love with.
So yeah I feel like this was a really good value.
I know it is expensive,
but you're really getting the customization of someone picking out everything for you
and tailoring it to you, to your exact sizes and your tastes.
You can choose which decades you're interested in.
I more prefer the later decades, so like 70s and 90s
and, you know, I think a lot of people might see that and say well you can just find that at the thrift store,
like that's not that great.
But like I said, the value comes in someone picking stuff out that's just tailored to you and your tastes.
So anywho, I think it's great.
If you want to try out Redbird Vintage Box you can feel free to use my code KPARKER10.
That will get you 10% off your first box, which is pretty awesome.
Let me know in the comments down below if you already have Redbird Vintage Box
and what you got this month or maybe what your favorite item was this month.
I would love to know.
Other than that please like this video if you enjoyed it
and subscribe if you haven't already, if you like seeing unboxings and hauls
and that sort of thing because I'm Kat and I love boxes.
Bye!
(calming music)
Look Mary, it's you.
Do you like it?

Billy Owens Carlisle Thundering Herd vs. Harrisburg Cougars : 1986-87 : Remembering the Rivalry - Duration: 4:30.
Alright, I'm here with Kirk Smallwood, the renowned head coach of the Harrisburg Cougars
basketball team.
Kirk, welcome.
You've been associated with Harrisburg for a long time and I wanted to talk to you specifically
about one of the great rivalries of the 1980s.
You guys went toe-to-toe with Billy Owens and the Carlisle team that won four consecutive
state championships, but the 1986-1987 team, that they won a state title, but you made
them bleed a little bit.
You played them three times, including in the district final.
You won all three.
Many of the guys who were on that '87 team, I had as eighth graders.
They got bigger, stronger, closer to one another and they played their butts off for our city
and for our school.
Troy Danner, Dajuann Green, Harold Brantley, Ronnie Norris, Tony Thompson, Ray Johnson,
I can go on and on and on.
The one thing about our kids, they love to compete.
Dajuann, what was it like to play that 1986-87 season against Carlisle?
Exciting year.
We're coming off that junior year and they had won the state title again.
So we were determined to be the team that year.
So every time we would face Carlisle, it was that challenge for us to beat the returning
state champions.
So, that year for us was probably a hungry year, you want to call it, for us to get that
title.
Seeing them three times was fun.
We're chatting inside the Camp Curtin gym, the former home of the Harrisburg Cougars.
It's not the biggest gym, but I know that you have some great memories. The Carlisle
team we're talking about, played here.
I can remember parking out back, getting out of my car and the house was packed.
Terrific games, crazy fans.
It was exciting.
They city was buzzing.
We wanted to really make a name for Harrisburg.
We wanted that state title that year for us.
The basketball then was superb, man.
I mean, Dave Lebo, walking the sidelines with his scouting report rolled up, it looked like
a relay baton.
And the good part is, those Carlisle kids were friends with our kids.
Billy Owens, one of the great players ever to come out of this area.
What was he like, and what was he like as a player?
Billy was a good guy.
He definitely pushed us as a basketball team.
Myself, I got to play defense on him, so that was my challenge, just to see if I could keep
him from scoring as many points as he did, and get the win at the same time.
Billy was a phenomenal player, inside, outside, handling the ball, rebounding, there was nothing
he couldn't do.
As they would call him, the Machiavelli of basketball.
You guys would eventually meet in the district final, another great game, another great crowd.
I had a chance to watch a little bit of the tape of the district final and Kirk, it almost
felt like a college game, watching a college game played at a very high level.
I just don't think people are used to seeing that many good players on the court at the
same time.
Absolutely.
The kids that came off the Carlisle bench and the Harrisburg bench would be the five-star
guys around in this area right now.
That team in this era would be the best team in this area, if not the state.
It was crazy walking out into the stadium and seeing all those people just to see us
play a high school basketball game.
You guys always brought your A-game and so did Carlisle.
We set the tone.
Again, we were going to be very physical against them.
But they would come out with a good offensive strategy and we would definitely have to play
as a team to beat them.
That, I get to hold, as far as when you have those debates, I beat them three times in
my senior year.
It was, again, a great rivalry that we had with them and it was always good to beat them.

How to apply lining paper to the ceiling part 2 - Duration: 9:10.
Right we've now got three pieces on, this is the fourth piece this one again
quite tricky because we're going to go through, through the light there okay so
you can see piece one and two they've all nicely gone flat now
these aren't air bubbles this is just just paste that's underneath it, it'll
eventually sink in these are sort of like the down lighters we've cut the
holes for them so quite happy that piece I don't need to do anything with it I
just keep an eye on it just in case anything like any other bubbles but
you should all dry back perfectly nice. Right so let's get this piece
number four on! Let me just show you this technique that we're using for putting a
larger piece of paper up okay so I've got this thing that we call our crotch
again okay so I balance that right on the edge of the paper that's going to
come to around sort of this sort area okay so I'm going to be looking there
and then also I've got my paste brush gonna be holding the paper there and I'm
gonna be looking on this line okay and then I'm gonna sweep it down, and then sweep
it around in a sort of a quick motion and i'll try and do it slowly for you- it's easier if I do
it quick but I'll try and do it slowly for you okay, and then I've got my crotch
positioned just underneath this paper some people have it different to that but I
quite like it like this I follow, I'm in more control of the paper this way does look
a little bit awkward but this is the way that I've been sort of taught and it's
worked perfectly fine, so here we go right so I'm looking up I've got my um
I got my crotch on the side there okay I've got a bit of an overlap of about 50ml
okay i'm going to trim it to this line again we don't know if that's
straight so we always leave a bit of excess and then we can just trim it over
afterwards so let's lift it up so I'm looking at my crotch there that's nice
and straight. Okay if I can get this first part straight okay then it just
becomes very very simple so I'm just going to get it on the line
push it down sweep it round that quick. Make it nice and straight now
if I didn't do that part and just left this flap in it but then by the time I
got down the other side it would fall off. Right so get this first part in
then we'll have no problems. Again we're just leaving a very little
hairline gap okay what we don't want these any overlaps. So I'm now going
to bring my paper hanging brush to there take the other one from underneath it
again some people do this slightly different this is the way I do it. Pull
it across it's quite heavy this paper and again I'm just looking at the edge
of that the crotch there so it's on the line, and I'm going to sweep it down just
slightly adjust it there. Take your time on this again if you're not happy with
it just take it down start again the more practice you get the better you become.
No gap there, it's perfect.
Bring my brush to it hold it there put it underneath pull the next one out
and again just come to the edge sweep it down the middle
Now we're getting closer this light okay. When I get to the light i'm going to
completely ignore it and just going to carry on. If I had it only of like a
quite an overlap with this this is where you get the problems where it can just
you can start to fall off.
Give yourself a good chance that put it on, sweep it through
Right now we've got the full piece on okay and again it just looks a bit sort of scruffy
but that's just just paste that's just underneath it so you don't
need to worry about that we need to get around this light. Okay so the powers off
so I'm just going to just peel it back a little touch okay this is what
call a star cut okay I'm just gonna peel it back I'm gonna push it to the very
edge of the light, okay and you can mark this with a pencil if you want to but
it's good practice just just try and do it without okay because again when we
put on our patterned papers up we're going to need this. I'm just
going to make a little snip. I can do a snip or I can do it with my Stanley blade
So I'm just gonna make the first
incision there - don't press too hard because it'll mark the light itself.
once you got this first cut in- try to do it without it tearing. Then
I'll come down this side so you can see it and I can do the other side afterwards
so again this is what we call a star cut and you'll see why in a second
I'm just gonna pull it down
Okay don't like to take the socket off yet again because you don't want to get any paste on
the underneath of that there's a health and safety reason. Again, on site we do this much quicker
and this you can use this cut for anything that's circular or oval not
Square particular
now i'll just do the other side out of camera.
Okay now you've got that so that it's cut all the way around okay let's just take
away all these um just this edge of its drying a little bit of paste on there as
well so I'll just do this on my sponge
and the same this side. I've got some bits of paste on there, it's easy enough
just get it off there with a damp sponge. Okay right, now i've got that off off I can
take this off
It comes off, push that in now. Again I'm not touching any of the electrics
and just get our caulking board. Caulking board against it put some pressure on
nice and sharp
Take your time
Then just get the edge of the sponge there I'm just being very very careful
around the outside. Put this back on
until we've come to paper this next section and then we just follow the same procedure.
So all we've got to do now is just trim the edges up wipe the sides clean
and then I'm ready just to finish off the rest of the ceiling.

MUSSELS ,MUSSELS,MUSSELS * LET'S GET THIS MUKBANG STARTED " ! - Duration: 18:33.
tell you what I could have going on here you know I have my musselsI have my
knife my scissors I have my fork and I have a bowl here little plastic bowl and
I have some plastic in here sitting right next to me and I'm just gonna drop
my shells and everything in there guys I'm gonna start eating right away
because my mussels are getting cold I had to set up guys I'm moving it around
here mmm man are these good look at these look at these mussels this is the
way I love cooking mine look at that garlic on there okay look at that see
that's the way I like to make mine
they are so blessed hmm it's like garlic
okay you don't have my juice in the bottom of here that's way to them and
then I have some garlic bread look at her that's a little girl look under no
that's a little piece of crap that little dark too much garlic bread I put
together is actually ciabatta bread and then I buttered it and I we lifted it up
does yes quick lunch mm you're having to knit but
look at the outside it's a treasure right there and I know a lot of people
eat this part two men step up I don't like that some people eat that I don't
well tell you this was a quick lunch
Grand pop karma decided he wanted some mussels so my daughter had bought these
and they were in the freezer because we can't find them find them anymore at our
Walmart that's why used to always get my mussels
all of a sudden they stopped selling them
so good know what my daughter come something I'm gonna have to make her
some mmm so good guys these are kind of an afterthought
they are so tiny
well my thought about the mussels she wanted some crab legs and unfortunately
this is all they had so we have to go to a different spot to get you know halfway
decent crab legs and this was out of town oh the small lizard seem like
sometimes they are harder to open this one is a really hard double sometimes
seems like they're harder to open and then there's less meat in there so yeah
I'm not gonna fight with that guys I can't not when I got these delicious
mussels in front of me but here's part of the crab legs
how I said they are delicious they're really good
who wants small crab legs especially after you've had the Kings I think that
spawns you to so tension so easy to make it home guys I don't know if I don't
know if I've ever showed you guys my quick and easy recipe and delicious
recipe I check mmm and then maybe the next time I have them I'll record it
see this is too hard for me guys I have trouble with my hands and I cannot deal
with that but I want something so bad but I don't have the strength to just
crack them yes don't have that strength let's see how easy its to open but for
me it's not easy because of my hands that's why I need the big ones I can
crack them they're softer shell seem like I can get right to the meat so I
really wanted to share the off muscles with you guys anyway but when Thomas saw
the crab legs in there I'm gonna save those for my daughter when Thomas saw
the crab legs and their example hey don't subscribe legs I'm in there
but my videos really about each crab legs I name my videos really about its
delicious mustard and the choose I'm going to tell you how I make it I check
the green onion so I'm so good you don't really want to wash your hair I have
water let me tell you how to make them
so I've use chicken broth with her oh babe
Tony cashiers um chili powder garlic powder all kinds of goodies and the long
green onion it's a good technical name for them but I could cut that up first I
put that in a pot with a little chicken broth and a little water to start
putting my seasonings in there to get that good ol juices going because these
muscles only take six to seven minutes
and composure I would love to have the green-lipped mussels I've seen some
folks eating those I bet they are very good I've never had those haven't seen
any place where I can get them but if I do I'm gonna make sure this huh oh yes
yes look
mussels are not expensive look at that with the onion on it you see that and
that's the buddy I think I'm wasting
that's it you know what I'm sure this lunch with my karma babies I don't even
say you can say welcome to my channel I don't think I did it I think I sat down
and I said I got it go ahead and eat because my foots getting cold
excuse my manners once again excuse them you know sometimes sometimes you forget
those things my foods getting cold usually I have it on a heater but I
don't know today I wanted presentation and I want you guys to really see it
really good and it came to my area that I'd normally that I did the collard
greens in and my my little thing that I put together you know you put this to
hole your what do you call it like a tripod like the ones that are malleable
but this one is it's gone when I try to bend it now it just pops out I need one
of those really see there look at that I need one of those really big thick heavy
ones that I see youtubers using made like this but they're really thick and
heavy and put my camera on it also but it'll be
firm and I'll hold it so I had to set up something totally different but I think
you got I think it's working out really well so nothing lost because if you
can't figure out how to do something one way what do you do karma babies what's
our motto
what about mottos a very simple one one door closes another one opens
sometimes in life you have to close the door in order to benefit from your
future you do sometimes you have to
change not only habits sometimes people in your life especially when you're
young guys
we're on you're just meeting people all
that garlic just deciding who's going to be in your life who's not gonna be in
your life most of those people here meeting in school so they're just
they're there in your life but once you get out of school guys I'm telling and
you decide and it's not always an easy decision because people are in your life
for different reasons different people are in there sometimes for different
reasons believe you I was eating this before I started because I had to taste
them these are almost like some of the best muscles that I've ever made oh my
goodness I know my daughter is gonna watch some of these I don't think I can
post this until I make herself so I think I'll make us some this evening
when she comes home from work I'll make them for dinner must actually have some
corn on the cob top the winner and 180
she can have the she can have the crab legs she Sean good hand
oh I'm not gonna stop in a few minutes once I finish my bread I love it's about
I think there's kebab kebab - beretta master guys I know what it looks like
that goes start pick it up sometimes I don't know the names I tell you these
muscles are amazing tell me if they are amazing I'm gonna need a little bit to
tempt her a nice birthday woman maybe some empty shells these are not like the
ones that I said there and usually get from Walmart they're very good but the
shells seem to break very easily feels very thin you know I have to do some
research to see what that's about the guys I enjoyed my time with you guys
and just remember how others treat you
and guys remember how others treat you
is their Karma that's their Karma the way that they
treat you that's their Karma you can't do anything about it you can't change it
alter it you know it's flinging it that's their
Karma but how you respond to how they treat you how you respond to the
situation that's your Karma so babies until the
next video I love you I love you guys and I will see you in
the next video don't forget to subscribe I always forget to ask but you guys know
I want you to subscribe and become part of the karma family guys until the next
video bye bye I love you

and bringing solutions
for energy, for new materials
to produce energy storage
there are a lot of solutions just here in Mexico
and GreenMomentum, this multiplier
an incubator of startups is doing a fantastic job
Right now in Mexico, I would say that entrepreneurs
are an important source of innovation but also
you have the new type of entrepreneur that are
coming out of the research labs or from
large corporations that are coming up with
these great ideas
We are now ready at the Solar Impulse Foundation
to assess the solutions that are submitted to us
to have a label that certifies the technological
and the profitable side of these new solutions
So I invite all of the startups, all of the companies
in Mexico and Latin America
to submit their solutions and all together to reach
the 1000 solution target that we have launched
as a challenge.
