Waching daily Mar 28 2018

I'm EGL from Tokyo. Check out my sketch.

My sound in three words?

Dark, solid, industrial.

I often make sketches or demos to remember an idea I have.

When I have an idea, I write it down and save it – even in a rough form.

I first construct the beats on every track. I made these purple parts at the beginning...

I make beats and add riffs to them.

For the riffs in this track, I used a MASSIVE preset called Interlude.

I tweaked it a little bit, but used it almost as it was.

I often listen to the sounds in MASSIVE when I am bogged down with making tracks.

Then I bounced an audio file from REAKTOR, and tweaked it a little bit.

I wanted to make an eerie, strongly panned sound.

This one lags behind somewhat.

The most fun I had with this was the echoing sound which starts at the beginning.

I made that with Reaktor, too.

The first sound is maybe...

There's an effect like this...

And I knew that it would sound awesome when played back in reverse.

I use it for the whole track.

I used "Nord Rack" which I found in the Reaktor User Library.

I made various sounds with that, and had fun tweaking them.

I could tweak them all the time and make some weird sounds.

Komplete has so many different presets that I couldn't listen to all of them.

And so many sounds – I think my perspective has been widened.

Top 20 Upcoming VR Games in 2018 / NEW VR Games in 2018 (Part 2) - Duration: 15:01.

Hello everyone!

Today's video is upcoming VR games 2018 part 2, because we encountered some new amazing

games.

And if you want to check out part 1, just check our link in the description below.

Yes, and if you need some subtitles.

We added them as well.

So just turn them on if you like.

And now, let's move on...

In Toran you solve puzzles using beams of light while exploring an alien environment.

It has a strong narrative based around a science fiction backstory, nice visuals and sound

design.

In this game you will be solving puzzles on a platform, which will also move you through

the universe.

You will be travelling to amazing places, where you can find new discoveries.

Just be careful for the ancient horrors that you may find...

Skyrim VR

A few days ago the release date of Skyrim VR was finally announced!

On April 3rd, 2018 everyone can finally enjoy the VR version of Skyrim.

It has support for HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and Windows Mixed Reality headsets.

We already have been enjoying Skyrim on the PSVR, and if you have seen our videos.

You will know we had the most amazing time in Tamriel, so we really cannot wait to try

this version out as well.

If you haven't seen Skyrim VR before...

This is the true, full-length open world Skyrim game ported to VR.

In here you can explore the world of Tamriel fully immersed like you are there.

Swing one of the many weapons, from sword and shields, to bow and arrow, two handed

weapons and magic with your own hands.

Fight dragons, do quests, SHOUT.

It's all in there.

It already felt epic on PSVR, so I'm sure having full roomscale is gonna be amazing.

If you would like to see the PSVR gameplay, check out the link in our description.

Shaman: Spirithunter is from the developers of two other awesome VR games: the Climb and

Robinson The Journey.

And it is coming to Oculus Rift this year.

Here, you are a shaman that returns home from a quest.

However, you discover that your tribe has been ravaged by an unending winter.

And only you can uncover what is causing nature's deadly imbalance.

To do this, you have to grow your powers as a shaman, hunter and shapeshifter to be able

to break the winter's curse.

The gameplay consists of stealth, but also shapeshifting which gives you new abilities.

The game looks like a very interesting blend of first and third person too.

When using a bow and arrow the gameplay is in first-person, while doing other things

you will see your character in 3rd person.

This sounds unique and promising in my ears!

White Day 2: Swan Song

A first person horror game that you can play with or without a VR headset on the PSVR.

This is the sequel to the original White Day, which was a huge game in the horror scene.

It popularised the gameplay where you have to sneak through spooky locations while avoiding

horrific enemies.

There isn't much information yet about the story of this game, but the Korean website

does reveal that it is about surviving overnight in a scary school, just like the first title.

Unknown Fate

Unknown Fate is a strongly story-driven first person adventure game with mind-twisting puzzles

to solve and bizarre creatures to beat.

You will become Richard, who suddenly finds himself in a different universe.

One that is surreal with all kinds of strange characters.

Here, you can find unfamiliar artifacts and get to know Richard's former life – of

which he has lost all memory.

Judging from the trailer, this game looks like an amazing experience.

And, who doesn't want to travel into a surreal world in games?

Am I right? ;)

Crisis on the Planet of the Apes VR

Virtual Reality goes to the movies!

Yes, Crisis On The Planet Of The Apes VR is the game from 20th Century FOX.

It is set in the universe of the last Planet of The Apes movie.

In this VR game you can experience the apocalyptic world where a strange virus has wiped half

of humanity on earth.

To try and find a cure, humans do experiments on apes.

And... lucky you, you are one of those apes in this game.

An ape with advanced intelligence, but held prisoner in a scientific facility.

Your mission is to escape together with fellow apes to return home to Caesar.

To do that, you will be doing what an ape does best: climbing, jumping and shooting....

This game seems dark, but amazing.

As fans of the movies, we cannot wait to sling around like an ape.

Kiss or Kill VR

Kiss or Kill is the ultimate trivia game show in VR, where you battle it out with others.

Use your wits and VR skills to become the champion!

We had the chance to check out an early version and we can tell you that it is a fun experience.

You can play this game online, against others, while inviting a real game host or using a

game host bot.

Each game gives you a set of categories with trivia questions, answering them right will

earn you points.

In front of you, you have various weapons or boosts that you can use to your advantage.

After a set of questions you get a random mini game where you battle it out using your

motion controllers.

But the most fun part?

The developers of Kiss or Kill are going to host tournaments with REAL prizes.

That sounds like a really good incentive to get more people playing!

I know we'd like to win something ;)

Protocol VR

In this game you sign up for the Protocol program, however soon enough you will know

that you made a huge mistake, but there is no turning back anymore.

Lucky us right? ;)

Now, your goal is to establish first contact

with alien life, while having to follow the Protocol, which consists of very strict rules

and a maximum level of security and control.

However, it's up to you whether you want to follow it or go against the system.

We already know we would be rebels and try to f* the system ;)

Curious to hearing what you would do.... ;)

CREED: Rise of Glory

By the developers of Sprint Vector and Raw Data comes two new games this year.

CREED: Rise of Glory and Electronauts.

CREED is an intense VR boxing game.

Creed is also a movie released in 2016 and a sequel of this movie is releasing later

this year together with this VR game.

Players of the game will be able to take on the role of the protagonist Adonis Creed.

The game starts off with a tutorial from Rocky Balboa himself and afterwards you will be

able to start boxing yourself!

As the game is from Survios, we already know that this is going to be good!

The second game released by Survios is Electronauts.

Which is an entirely different genre.

It is a VR music app, a tool to create music and remix.

In a futuristic room you will be able to work on the key components of a song.

You also have different sound manipulation tools at your disposal.

I have a feeling that this app is going to be awesome for people who love making music.

Space Junkies

A game announced for a while already by Ubisoft.

Space Junkies is a multiplayer arcade shooter finally launching this year.

You are equipped with a jetpack and you will be flying through deadly Orbital Arenas in

hostile space, facing off in adrenaline-packed battles.

And there are insane weapons to use, like Sunblasters to Bioguns!!

This game looks intense, but promising so we are definitely keeping an eye on this.

Torn

Torn is a dark-science fiction mystery VR game.

It is inspired by the Twilight Zone and Black Mirror and will come to the PSVR, Oculus and

Vive this spring.

The story is about a renowned physicist that vanished on the brink of a major scientific

breakthrough in 1953.

For 64 years, his mansion remained hidden.

His laboratory and work forgotten.

Until now......

This game looks like a detective game, where you will be equipped with a gravity tool that

can lift up objects, so that you can research everything in the house to find out what is

going on.

It looks like it uses VR very well, so we're curious to see how this turns out!

Failspace

Have you ever wondered how well you would perform if you and your friends were on a

spaceship that's breaking down in mid-flight?

In Failspace you will finally find out.

You and your crew are space truckers, which are the nomads of space.

You can choose your own path and own cargo to deliver across the galaxy.

Unfortunately the ship you've been assigned to is a real rustbucket that keeps breaking

down constantly and at an alarming rate.

Now, you have to work together under high pressure to fix the ship and to complete your

mission!

You think you and your crew are up to the challenge without breaking friendships?

Megadimension Neptunia VIIR is set in the world of Gaminindustri that consists of multiple

dimensions.

One of these dimensions is the Zero Dimension, a world on the brink of collapse.

There is a war going on with the last guardian of Zero Dimension, and as she desperately

cries for help across dimensions, it reaches not only other Goddesses, but also our own

world.

In the VR experience you will be able to interact and hang out one-on-one with each of the anime

Goddesses, listening to their conversaions and watch as they interact with you.

By looking at the trailer and description it is hard to say how much of the 2016 game

is ported to VR and what it is going to be like.

But as fans of the anime role playing game genre, we are definitely curious what it is

like to talk to beautiful anime girls.... hahaha.

Espire 1: VR Operative

In this upcoming VR game you get to be sneaky sneak!

Yes, it is a single-player stealth game.

Inspired by Goldeneye 007 and Metal Gear Solid.

In Espire 1 you assume the role of an Espire agent, a drone operator of the future.

From the safety of their Espire Control Theatre, they deploy the Espire Model 1 operative on

assignments around the globe.

You will remote operate this drone while doing your missions and challenges.

The developers promises 15 objective-based missions and 200 Virtual Challenges in the

final game.

Raiders of Erda

Raiders of Erda is an online co-op RPG game currently in development.

It is a dungeon crawler that you can play with others online.

There isn't much information yet, but I really like the idea of having a VR dungeon

crawler that is made especially for multiplayer.

And the current gameplay footage that you are seeing here looks pretty good.

We are hoping for an awesome full online RPG game.

That would be magical!

Bebylon Battle Royale

Bebylon Battle Royale's core gameplay is multiplayer arena combat, but brought very

comedically.

You play as little immortal babies in crazy vehicles with weapons.

In a futuristic arena you fight multiple opponents while smack talking and taunting.

This game has the goal to make you laugh, so it's graphics style and music matches

to this.

We have tried this game before during Twitchcon and it was fun trying it out.

Also, I beat Cas so...

I'm definitely looking forward to winning more battles against Cas *Muahaha*.

Eden Tomorrow

Eden Tomorrow is a science fiction dinosaur adventure.

Do we need to say more to get you excited?

Or are we the only ones who love dinosaurs in VR?!

It has been announced for a while now, and finally has some kind of direction for a release.

It will be released on the PSVR first, in Spring 2018.

The current trailer does not reveal much, but the scenes that we saw do look great.

So let's keep an eye on this one too!

Alvo

Alvo Is an online VR Tactical Shooter with cross platform support.

PSVR players will be able to play this with the AIM controller too.

There will be multiple game modes: Search and Destroy, Free for all and Domination,

which is like capture the flag.

The developers are aiming to become the CS: Go of VR.

There isn't much information yet, but you can sign up for the beta tests on their website.

Let's hope they can live up their promises!

Adoption

Another awesome title from the same developers as Protocol, which we mentioned before in

this video.

In Adoption you are just doing your thing, when suddenly a little girl asks you to help

find her mother.

From now on, everything goes beyond the normal.

You enter a nightmare in a house, of which you cannot escape... you can only help the

girl.

This game contains hardcore gameplay, challenging puzzles, oppressive atmosphere and a constant

sense of danger nearby waiting for you.

If you are a horror baby like us, then you can also play this game with a friend in co-op.

This is gonna be interesting!

All right, hope you found this video helpful in any way at all.

And if you are gonna buy any of these games, please let us know in the comments down below

or better yet... come chat with us in our cozy chat on Discord.

The invite link is down below as well.

Well, this is the end of our video.

One special thanks to our Patrons and supporters.

You have been a tremendous help.

Yes, thank you so much.

And if you all want to explore more VR with Cas and I, I'd say... just subscribe!!

We are Cas and Chary.

And we say...

VR ON!

Black Mirror — Now Entering the Twilight Zone - Duration: 12:44.

Hi, I'm Michael.

This is Lessons from the Screenplay.

I find the "USS Callister" episode of Black Mirror

to be a bit of an anomaly amongst the nineteen episodes of the series.

Not just because it's more epic in scope than any other episode…

…or because it's one of the few episode with a relatively happy ending…

…but because it's exceedingly clever.

It delivers on everything we've come to expect from an episode of Black Mirror,

providing a provocative and arguably bleak portrayal of the near future.

But at the same time, it manages to surprise the audience

with both the content of the story

and how that story is executed.

So today I want to look at how this episode

introduces the antagonist in an unconventional way…

To investigate how a particular episode of a classic TV show

helped inspire both the premise of the story and the character of Robert Daly…

And examine how the script manages to do multiple things at once,

efficiently telling its story while creating a fun ride for the audience.

Let's take a look at the Black Mirror episode "USS Callister."

Part of what makes an antagonist powerful is their conviction.

The audience needs to know what they want, why they want it,

and what they're willing to do to get it.

There are many conventional ways to establish these elements in a story,

but "USS Callister" does so in a unique way.

It introduces the antagonist as if he were the protagonist.

In the cold open, we meet Robert Daly,

the captain of the USS Callister.

He's defeating villains, is highly-respected, and universally loved.

Then we meet him in the real world…

…where he is ignored, disrespected, and disliked by his co-workers.

We see that his character's weakness

is that he doesn't respect or stand up for himself,

so he lives a miserable life where he's mocked and mistreated.

Then comes an inciting incident.

There's a new girl in the office, Nanette Cole,

who knows and respects Daly's work.

"That's actually the reason that I wanted to work here."

This establishes his desire—

to connect with this new person that doesn't walk all over him.

But as Daly's antagonist bursts in,

conflict is introduced, and we see the struggle that lies ahead.

- "Have you had the tour?" - "No, I—"

"Please. Allow me."

These first ten minutes would be the perfect set-up

for a protagonist who must learn to respect himself,

stand up to his antagonist,

and pursue his desire to make a meaningful human connection.

All Daly has to do is choose to move away from his fantasy world

and embrace his positive traits.

But this is Black Mirror.

And instead of choosing to be the best version of himself,

he does the exact opposite.

As creator and co-writer Charlie Brooker says…

"It sort of really becomes a story about a tyrant…"

"We explore what happens when a normal, flawed human being

is given some sort of immense power by technology."

Introducing Daly as if he were the protagonist

provides a fun surprise that subverts our expectations,

while also establishing the things we need to know about the antagonist.

We see that he wants power and respect because they're missing in his real life,

and that he's willing to steal the DNA of his co-workers

in order to exert dominance over them in his VR world.

So by the time we meet our protagonist twenty minutes into the episode,

(gasp)

we've been given a deep understanding of how dire the situation is.

This is a great foundation for a story

that explores the ethical ramifications

of creating a world where can act out our darkest desires.

But despite commenting on technology that is right around the corner,

the episode borrows from a story that is fifty-seven years old,

and is a great example of reimagining an old premise.

There are obvious similarities between Black Mirror and The Twilight Zone,

but with "USS Callister,"

the writers were particularly inspired by a specific episode.

On November third, nineteen sixty-one,

"It's a Good Life" premiered.

"Tonight's story on The Twilight Zone is somewhat unique and calls for a different

kind of introduction. "

The episode tells the story of a small town in Ohio

that has become isolated from the rest of the universe.

A monster has arrived

who uses his strange, godlike powers to read people's thoughts

and transform things as he pleases.

At the end of the episode's introduction,

after establishing how dangerous he is,

we finally meet the monster.

"This is the monster.

His name is Anthony Fremont.

He's six years old, with a cute little-boy face and blue, guileless eyes.

But when those eyes look at you, you'd better start thinking happy thoughts,

because the mind behind them is absolutely in charge.

This is the Twilight Zone."

"USS Callister" takes this premise

and re-contextualizes it for a modern audience and contemporary environment.

As creator Charlie Brooker says…

"The show is clearly inspired by shows like The Twilight Zone or Tales of the Unexpected,

but where they would use the supernatural to make something unusual happen,

we use technology."

Watching the episode,

it's very clear how both the premise and the details of "It's a Good Life" influenced

"USS Callister."

Anthony is a powerful tyrant,

who has created a self-contained universe where he can subject people to his every whim.

Anthony silences those who displease him…

"Now, the monster doesn't like singing, so his mind snapped at her,

and turned her into the smiling, vacant thing you're looking at now.

She sings no more."

…as does Daly.

"Can't see. Can't breathe."

"Unpleasant, isn't it?"

So out of fear, the people of the town are extremely nice to Anthony…

"That's all the television there is."

"Oh it was wonderful, Anthony."

"Wasn't it, everyone?"

"Oh that was real good!"

…as are those trapped in Daly's world.

"Three cheers for Captain Daly."

"Hip hip, hooray!"

"Hip hip, hooray!"

There is even a tense scene in the Twilight Zone episode

where the people of the town desperately try to keep a fed-up, drunk man

from incurring the boy's wrath…

"Go ahead, Anthony.

I'm a very bad man."

"Keep thinking that."

"Please, stop!"

…just like when Shania tries to convince Daly to show mercy to Nanette.

"No, don't!"

"Captain, please."

"Let her off this once."

But Anthony is not shy about administering punishment to those who upset him…

(screams)

…nor is Daly.

(screams and monster noises)

"USS Callister" demonstrates how classic stories can inspire new ideas,

as it takes this disturbing, supernatural premise from half a century ago

and gives it a technological twist.

In doing so, it pays homage to its predecessor,

warns of potential dangers of new technology,

and explores the darkest parts of human nature.

Doing all this simultaneously is a difficult task,

but this episode makes it look easy.

In fact, perhaps the thing I was most impressed by in this episode

is how consistently the script is doing multiple things at once.

As a general rule,

you never want to waste the audience's time when writing a story.

If there is a sequence, scene, or even line in a script

that doesn't move the plot forward, it should probably be cut.

But taking it a step further,

if there are multiple things happening at once it is often more engaging.

In "USS Callister," the writers do a good job of making sure

that most scenes, especially those featuring exposition,

are very efficient.

For example, when Daly meets Nanette, she asks about his Space Fleet collection.

"Oh, vintage!"

This moves the character storyline forward,

showing that unlike his other coworkers, she wants to learn more about him.

But it also teaches us about the history of the Space Fleet TV show,

so we have some context for his VR world.

Another example is when Daly checks on the progress of the new update to the game.

"Do you have a latest ETA on the update patch?"

Instead of listening to Kabir's response,

Daly is distracted by Nanette meeting the staff.

This shows his total preoccupation with her.

And because he's not paying attention,

Daly mindlessly approves features that will dramatically delay the update.

"Of course, that would add another week, maybe ten days or so."

"Yeah, do all that."

Which later gets him into trouble and feeds his animosity toward Walton.

"God dammit, Robert."

"Christmas Eve, really?"

"Not okay."

But this decision about the game update also comes back toward the end of the episode…

"The update patch!"

…as it creates the wormhole that the crew uses to escape.

In a less-efficient script,

these things could have been given whole scenes unto themselves,

but here they're all executed in a thirty-second interaction.

But my favorite example of this episode doing multiple things at once

comes toward the very end.

All the events of the story build to a finale

where our characters have to navigate the spaceship through an asteroid field

while being chased by the villain.

The same moments that were poked fun at in the beginning of the show,

like the melodramatic dialogue…

"It'll tear the ship apart, captain!"

…now feel appropriate.

"Dammit, Packer, we are going to have to go through the belt!"

The cheesy sparks and unconvincing collisions…

…now represent dangerous obstacles standing in the way of our heroes.

And the over-the-top sense of adventure and victory…

- "Incredible, Captain." - "You saved our lives!"

…has been earned and is truly felt by the characters.

"Hey!"

"Yeah!"

This is a clever example of how to fully utilize a premise,

as by the end of the story it has become an actual episode of Space Fleet,

with our protagonist as the new captain.

I think this is Black Mirror it its best.

It examines a dark, twisted "what if?" question

that prompts us to examine both our reality and ourselves more closely.

It breaks from the norm by introducing the antagonist in an unconventional way,

letting us empathize with and understand the enemy we're about to face.

And most importantly,

it does all this in a way that is enjoyable to watch—

never wasting our time, and providing a fun first adventure

of the new crew of the USS Callister.

Many elements of the USS Callister episode were inspired by video games.

As a lifelong gamer, I've always found game design fascinating

and back in high school even I taught myself how to do some very basic 3D animation.

so make sure you're subscribed and have notifications turned on, so you dont miss anything!

Alright, so the trailer starts off by showing us Dash in action using his super speed by

building the Incredibles Logo.

The Character looks awesome!

I think TT Games did a fantastic job on his design.

And right after that we get to see Elastigirl, who is helping Dash build the incredibles

logo using LEGO.

Following that we see some of Violet's super powers in action.

I really looking forward to seeing what all of her abilities are in game.

Right after that we get to see an awesome close up shot of Frozone Ice Skiing.

I mentioned this in my LEGO Incredibles Box Art video, but hopefully Frozone also has

the ability to

Speed Ski just like how Spider-Man can speed swing in LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2.

Next up we get to see Mr. Incredible holding Baby Jack-Jack while carrying the part of

the Incredibles Logo.

And at the very end we get a group shot with All Incredibles Family with a photobomb by

Edna Mode.

This is also our first look at Edna Mode.

I really interested to see what all of her abilities are.

Anyways, guys that's it for the official LEGO Incredibles Trailer.

WHAT I ATE VEGAN IN A DAY #94 | Mary's Test Kitchen - Duration: 7:52.

Hello friends and not yet friends,

Welcome back to another What I Ate Wednesday here on Mary's Test Kitchen.

The weather is still wintery but my mind and heart are ready for spring.

So I'm off the congee and on the smoothies again.

With the last of the frozen raspberries I had from making Raspberry Funfetti Pop Tarts

for the hot for food cookbook review from last week.

Go watch that collection of food porn after this video if you haven't seen it already.

I'm still dreaming about it.

This isn't the smoothie you'd dream about.

But it was acceptable tasting and, more importantly for weekday mornings, nutritious.

Only down side is smoothies make me cold and with *this* still going on outside at noon,

it was time for some cozy soup.

Daikon soup.

In Traditional Chinese medicine, daikon (AKA Chinese radish or turnip) is a superfood.

Good for digestion, helping with weightloss and the immune system and more.

That's what *they* say anyway.

What I know is, it's high in fiber, it's low in calories compared to other root veggies

while still being super filling, and it contains a good amount of vitamin C.

Daikon is fairly bland, so we've got to start with some garlic, ginger, and green onions;

my favourite trio of aromatics.

Also, some slightly sad looking mushrooms that needed to get used up.

I'm going to use this Corsori pressure cooker which was sent to me by the company so I could

share my first impressions with you.

Don't take this an an endorsement; I have to decide if I even like it first, friends.

I need to time to get to know the functions, any quirks, it's reliability and durability.

I've only made rice and beans in it so far.

So I can say it does make a good rice and bean cooker.

Saves a little bit of time for beans, though not as much as I had thought.

I heard about how these automatic pressure cooker have awesomely short cook times but

they skimp over the fact that it can take 20 minutes to come up to pressure first.

Plus the time after to release the pressure.

After sauteing the aromatics, we add the daikon and a couple chopped up carrots for sweetness.

Plus chickpeas that I cooked from dry beans previously.

And vegetable broth.

That's the shortcut to making sure your soup is some kind of tasty no matter what you do.

Close the lid, make sure it's locked, make sure the steam valve is in the right position,

and figure out which buttons to press.

I looked at the manual before but... bleh manuals.

OK, it's set so let's hope for the best!

This took 20 minutes to get up to pressure before the cook time started for a total time

of 35 minutes.

But before you take off the lid, got to release the pressure that's still inside.

This part always scares my cat so I put him in another room first.

And there we have it.

The carrots and daikon are cooked well and soft.

Though I prefer daikon a bit softer than this; I'll have to play with the timing next time.

On the side, I mixed a bit of sambal oelek sauce for it's spicy vinegary-ness, soy sauce

and Chinese black vineger to dip the daikon in.

The broth is nice and clean-tasting.

It could do with a bit of salt but since I've got this salty dip, I kept it a bit on the

plainer side for balance.

And that was my lunch; two bowls of this.

Pretty light, but very filling and cozy feeling.

I've been meaning to try Caitlin Shoemaker's orange tofu for a while.

It starts with pressed tofu.

This was frozen and thawed so the water could be squeezed out more easily without the tofu

crumbling.

Then it's tossed in soy sauce and nooch.

You can bake it, but today, I got out my airfryer.

I talked about this air fryer last year and I loved it so much.

But after a few months, that changed.

There's a plastic bit that broke off the handle so it's harder to use.

And the nonstick coating started to flake off on to my food so now I use parchment paper

in it.

Not great for a machine less than a year old.

That hurts my trying-to-be-eco-friendly-heart.

Still, it's faster than baking in the oven.

To go with the tofu, I thought I'd try the steaming vegetables function on the Cosori.

I suspect 2 minutes is too much time but we'll see.

It's the lowest time in the preset so I just went with it instead of fiddling with the

manual settings.

It's another wait for the thing to get up to pressure so let's make sauce.

For the sweetener, I chose dates.

Not raw, plump medjools, but regular pitted dates from the baking aisle of my local grocery

store.

Much more economical and convenient for me.

Blend it smooth, then transfer to a pot to heat it up and cook the raw garlic flavour

out.

And it tastes delicious!

Tangy, garlicky, salty and very sweet.

The airfyer makes baking the tofu a quick step and it comes out browned on the outside,

denser and more meaty on the inside than before.

Back to the pressure cooker: it took 10 minutes to get up to pressure before the 2 minute

countdown.

And...the bok choy is quite overdone.

It looks brighter and greener on video but I promise you, it's really sad looking in

real life.

Ditto on the broccoli.

I'm convinced that when people say they don't like veggies, it's because they eat them like

this.

Still, they're not totally inedible.

I do like this steaming set up though, so maybe it's possible to adjust the pressure

or cook time to get it perfect.

I had read that there's a little learning curve.

So we make a boy choy and broccoli mountain because overcooked or not, I need my veggies.

And an orange tofu peak.

Thank goodness for this delicious orange tofu because it saves the veggies from certain

blandness.

It's not a dupe for Chinese takeout but it is really tasty.

I think this might be the first recipe I've tried from Caitlin and I'm really impressed!

She has tons of healthier, whole foods based recipes that look fan-freaking-tastic so check her out if

you haven't already.

Anyways, that was my food day.

How was yours?

Let me know in the comments below.

And let me know what I should try next in my new pressure cooker/ slow cooker/ yogurt

maker/ hot pot pot.

You always have the best ideas so I'm looking forward to reading them in the comments!

Thank you, as always, for watching.

I hope you liked this video.

Please, give it a thumbs up if you did.

See you next week!

Bye for now!
