your subscriber count' doesn't matter at all

it doesn't matter stick around I'm gonna tell you why

welcome back guys I am dam from Millennialmotivator.ca helping you

learn how to create engage and inspire if you're new to the channel click that

subscribe button down there in the little bell you'll get a notification

when I go live next but I put up videos from Monday through Saturday on business

marketing being an entrepreneur helping you grow your YouTube channel all kinds

of great stuff about how you use the Internet to do the things that you want

to do alright so that sounds like it's up your alley give it a click today

though what we're looking at is your youtube subscriber count' does not

matter and why and what does matter so if you're somebody who has a YouTube

channel you've been struggling to get it growing you're worried about your

subscriber count we're gonna take a look at what's actually important for you to

focus on today and why this myth about subscriber count exists and how

unimportant it is to you and your growth as a channel so without further adieu

let's go okay so subscriber count why is it such a big deal why does everybody

make it into such a huge thing well it's one of two things its authority and its

fame okay most of the big youtubers that we know if you start throwing out names

of popular youtubers Casey nice at Peter McKinnon guys like the Logans I don't

like mentioning them but they're they're PewDiePie these big subscribers big

subscriber counts on these channels makes it seem like they've achieved some

level of fame and to be honest all those names you know them they have achieved a

certain level of fame because of their channels now the issue that I have with

this is it promotes this false concept that in some way their subscriber count'

drove their channel growth and the reality is if you look at most of those

channels you look at let's just pick three off the top of our heads here you

Peter McKenna you've got kisi nice top and you've got

somebody like PewDiePie now PewDiePie somebody who's been around for a long

time on YouTube started off his gaming channel now he's more of an alt comedy

channel news and kind of whatever he wants to throw out there but the reality

is with his channel he spent many years putting out great content entertain

people and it grew so remember what I just said okay that's

gonna be key as we move forward he created great content regularly to a

community okay that's how this channel group now does he have the most

subscribers now is everybody familiar with him now and does not help yes but

did his subscriber count' help him when he first started maybe if he started

again today what his subscriber count' helped him not really he wouldn't need

to subscribe account anymore because he could just start a brand new channel

about something brand new it could be probably just about anything with

PewDiePie and he'd get there now okay PewDiePie he's been around forever he

was one of the you know the the forefathers of YouTube so that's an

exception right well I mean Casey nice that hasn't been on the platform for too

long but he showed up and white okay so what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna create

this video cinematography style of daily posting to youtube doesn't really exist

yet we're gonna try it out and see how it does so you created great content

regularly for community BAM took off everybody knows case now but Casey can

do whatever you want again he shoots great quality footage you go on his

vlogs it's anything from eating chicken wings to opening boxes to bromance with

Peter McKinnon right like there's all kinds of things that he can do so it's

just mind-blowing to me then everybody goes well it's this subscriber count'

that got in there no it's not true what got him there was consistent uploads

quality content and community so last Peter McKinnon this guy showed up out of

nowhere started channeling I'm gonna do this I

love this stuff I love what YouTube is about I think it's a platform for me I

like cameras I like video I think I can make this happen I think I can do it and

so he went out there and he did it and again he was consistent he built a

community and the other year he picked up a million subscribers but at no point

was his focus on the subscribers his focus remained on there with me

community content and consistency so the lie about subscriber counts is huge okay

I see a lot of people out there sub4sub it's a terrible practice it kills the

channel and kills people's visions of how you can grow fake subs out there

that blows my mind the reality is guys not

things will help you to get where you want to go if you want it if you want to

be a youtuber if you want if you want to do YouTube the reality is you have to

have a clear understanding of where you want to go with it but also understand

the metrics that matter forget your subscriber count the best thing that you

could do guys and I've since almost day one on this channel what I've told

people is forget the subscriber count get get it out of your mind just get rid

of it forget the views forget the subscriber

count get rid of those metrics they're not gonna help you but if you're not

watching those metrics what should you be looking for what should you be

watching I'm gonna tell you right now stick around okay

so first up guys you've heard me say it a couple times here community

consistency quality content right community consistency quality content

it's a huge thing it seems like such a simple formula but how do you measure

that in your metrics well community is really a huge part of this if you go to

most bigger channels you'll find there's people that regularly show up they're

regularly contributing to the channel and they're regularly sharing that

content out so what does that look like well I know if I go back to my first

video on this channel there are people there that came in found the video drop

some comments subscribe to the channel and have been here ever since almost

every video like clockwork they're here and big shout out to all of you guys you

know who you are just a huge thank you you guys but that community that

engagement back and forth is a core metric for me I want to see how many

comments I can get it on a video that's a that's a measurement of success for me

how many people can I get talking and having a dialogue about this

conversation that I put up that isn't an essential success for me if I can get a

video and put it up there and it gets no subscribers for me and it gets a hundred

views but under those hundred views I get 50 comments that's a win for me

that's a win for me because I see a community that's engaging with that

topic having a conversation and it allows me the ability to have a

conversation with them and grow in a relationship right imagine having a

relationship for some of you guys out there that are married maybe you've got

kids you have friends imagine having a relationship with somebody and never

speaking with them you just you go ahead on a first date with somebody and you

sit there across at the table and you literally

stare at them eat your meal watch the movie whatever go home never say a word

how ridiculous would that be oh well I mean they showed up and you know they

said they liked it afterwards so it was great no the reality is guys if you want

to build relationships and subsequently a community so a bunch of relationships

with a bunch of people the metric you want to measure is how engaged are our

people with your content are they sharing it out and are they talking okay

now I make this promise to everybody if you comment down below something other

than hey you sub for sub to my channel because that's I just delete that that's

spam but if you have something that you contribute into the comments down below

I make a point to reply to every single comment down there and this is best

practice that I highly recommend for anybody that is a small youtuber or a

large youtuber make sure that you are replying to your comments now I know for

guys like PewDiePie that's probably seeming impossible but the reality is if

I was the biggest PewDiePie I would shoot my videos pay my editor to put

them out and I would spend my days going through and engaging with the community

as best as I could and I think he still does that to some extent most of the big

youtubers you still see them 250,000 subs and up still communicating liking

comments replying back them when it's possible I think that's such a core

metric check who's talking what they're talking about and how the conversation

okay guys so that's the first metric that you must be watching next what else

you have to watch okay the next one guys is watch time why am I saying watch time

because that seems like a more traditional analytic that you're

watching in your Google Analytics the reason why I'm saying watch time is this

watch time helped you to learn how to improve your content okay if you see

that people are showing up you know your YouTube video starts I guess we'll go

from this side so you guys can see it better but your YouTube video starts and

then all of a sudden boom massive drop that happens to most video most videos

up there guys you're gonna see everybody shows up for the first couple seconds

and if it's for them they stick around if not they'll eat so you get that drop

right and then you see it level out a little bit the next drop is what you're

trying to gauge you this is the metric that you want to watch and the trick

with this is you want to see that line go from its initial everybody

comes in and it drops the next drop you want that point to be so far out you

want it as far as possible okay that's the metric that you're watching that's

what you're looking for that's what you're hoping to achieve why is that

second drop why is the second drop so important it's so important because it

shows you when people start to lose interest in your videos so you know that

if you've got people's gripped attention to two minutes into a video and then all

of a sudden really gone they disappear from the channel something's happening

at that point they're no longer engaging so figure out how to fix that ask

questions newer in the video make sure that you've got maybe a cut to something

new you segue into something you've got a third screen pop up something of that

nature you use the card feature and you have a card pop up use these tools that

YouTube's providing you to extend that launch time and get people to watch the

content longer now the reason why I pair this with the

other metric of community is the longer that you get people watching your video

the more there is to discuss now one of my personal favorite channels to watch

is philip defranco I love the guy he goes from story the stories of this

story and you're plugged in and you're watching and you're engaging and he's

constantly got you plugged into the next thing you want to know what's coming

down the pipeline and then at the end of the video he asks for your opinion on

anything and it creates a conversation in the chat so vital guys but he knows

he has to segue from one story to the next and about this point where he's

gonna lose people they drop off so check it out go check it Philip defranco's

channel watch one video you don't have to fall in love with the guy you don't

have to sub to him watch the process though watch what he's doing it's so

crucial to watch he starts it off gets people going tells them what's in the

show tells them about one thing it goes for a certain period of time BAM cuts

out goes to another topic it keeps people engaged in flowing once you're

analyzing your watch time and you can see where that second drop comes in and

you can work to improve on that you're going to see a lot more success on your

videos because that second drop being improved is gonna get you a lot more

comments a lot more commentary on the videos which in turn is going to build

which in turn is naturally going to build your views your shares and your

subscriber count' okay guys that's it simple process guys forget the subs

forget the likes it doesn't matter forget it and yes are there benefits

subscribers and likes in search algorithm likes more so than subscribers

your subscriber account isn't really gonna matter you can even hide your

subscribe account which I recommend if you are struggling with that number as a

measure of success for yourself don't worry about the subscriber count worry

about your comment count and worry about how long to that second drop your

retention how are people watching your videos but that's it for today guys

question of the day is what metric do you think you should be measuring on

YouTube do you think subscribers are important do you think likes are

important or do you measure something else is there something else that's a

value to you let me know in the comments down below if you like this video and

you think it's helpful go ahead and share it it to a couple people again

guys thank you so much for watching hit the subscribe button if you haven't

already and I will catch you tomorrow with another great video later

Flow Hive 2 - New release pre-order via Indiegogo - Duration: 4:03.

(airy electric music)

- [Cedar] Honey bees and humans depend on each other.

We care for them,

they do the amazing thing we call pollination,

and of course, make lots of delicious honey.

It's here, the next evolution: Flow Hive Two.

We listened to your feedback

and have taken our best-selling Flow Hive Classic

and made it even better.

To celebrate our third birthday,

we have a limited-release, exclusive to Indiegogo.

My dad and I spent a decade

inventing a new way to harvest honey.

- A way that's gentle on the bees,

and a lot easier for the beekeeper.

- A way where the honey

doesn't require any processing at all,

and there's no need to go through

that long, messy, sweaty process of conventional harvesting.

- [Stuart] Just simply turn the handle,

and watch as delicious, raw honey fills your jars,

ready for you to eat.

- Indiegogo is where we started,

and we're forever grateful for everyone

who supported us in 2015.

- [Stuart] First drops and it's pouring

- [Cedar] It's pouring in!

(airy electrical music)

- We were awed by the huge, global response

which allowed us to take our invention to the world

in a way we never thought possible.

(airy electronic music)

- Honey harvesting is such a pain

and it's a tremendous amount of work

and it makes a huge mess, it's very disruptive to the bees.

It's just, it's kind of a disaster.

- Every time I harvested I was killing a lot of bees.

Just poor bees kinda stuck in their own honey.

- So to actually just to have it pour out

of the side of the hive into a jar,

and skip all of that mess is amazing.

- We have delivered 50,000 Flow Hives

to 130 countries so far.

It's a wonderful feeling to have helped inspired so many

to take up the art of beekeeping

and learn to do all the things necessary

to keep their bees happy and healthy.

- One of the coolest things I've ever done in my life

was pull out the first frame, crawling with bees.

You see all these little heads pop up and look at you,

and you just go "Why didn't I do this 20 years ago?"

- As inventors, we're always looking

at how we can make things better.

- So we've redesigned the Flow Hive from the ground up

with lots of new features inspired by all the great feedback

from our amazing customers.

The Flow Hive Two now includes double observation windows

on the honey super.

So you can now get even more insight

into the amazing world of bees.

The all-new hive base now features a built-in tray

for managing pests with three ventilation options.

Built-in spirit levels

and an optional adjustable hive stand,

allows you to set up your hive perfectly.

Inside is our second generation patented Flow Frames,

which allow you to share the new experience

of harvesting pure, untouched honey directly from the hive,

and eliminates the need for costly harvesting equipment.

By popular request,

we've included an adjustable harvesting shelf,

to make it easy to collect your very own fresh honey.

Each hive includes a tool and screws

to make it easy to assemble, even by hand.

The roof shingles now come pre-glued together

for better weather protection,

with roof locks for high winds.

All handles and latches are now robust, solid brass.

The hive is made from highly durable,

sustainably-sourced A-grade Western Red Cedar.

We now manufacture in our own, in-house workshop

using precision laser cutting to make sure every hive

is of the highest quality.

- If you're new to bees, don't worry.

We've created lots of educational resources

and our team is on-hand to give you guidance and support

as you enter the fascinating, wonderful world of beekeeping.

So to celebrate our third birthday,

we're offering the Indiegogo community first options

on the limited, early release Flow Hive Two.

- Whether you're in your backyard,

rooftop community garden, or school,

there's nothing quite like tasting

the utterly unique flavours of your very own honey.

Order here and join our engaged,

global community of beekeepers.

If we look after the bees, they'll look after us,

and the honey really is an amazing bonus.

Flow Hive 2 - walk through the features with Cedar Anderson - Duration: 3:14.

- [Narrator] Okay, here it is.

Flow Hive 2.

Let's take a look at the new features.

We're manufacturing this new hive in-house

using precision laser cutting.

This allows us to focus on quality control

and ensure the highest levels of sustainability

throughout the process.

And also gives us the ability to innovate more quickly.

We've redesigned it from the base up.

All made from highly durable, sustainably sourced

A grade Western Red Cedar.

There's an optional adjustable leg kit

which enables you to control the height and level

of your hive perfectly, even on uneven ground.

We've included a multifunctional tray

allowing you trap pests and monitor the health

of your hive.

There's three positions of ventilation control

so you can assist your bees as the seasons change.

Vents down closes the air flow.

Vents up allows air to pass up through the screen.

Or you can remove the tray altogether

for maximum ventilation.

We've included handy built in spirit levels.

From side to side, you want to be dead on level

so the bees can naturally build their brood cone

nice and straight.

And the front to back level has been calibrated

for the ideal honey harvesting angle.

So when the bubble is squarely in the middle,

you're good to go.

The brood box has deeper handles for easier lifting.

And it comes with a set of eight brood frames

with comb guides for the bees to naturally build the comb.

They can also accommodate foundation shapes if you wish.

The Flow Super now features observation windows

on both sides, giving you another window

into the fascinating world of bees.

So you can watch and learn, keeping an eye on your hive.

Inside is our second generation patented flow frames,

the biggest innovation in beekeeping

for over 150 years.

The unique in-frame view allows you to watch

the girls as they cover the frames in wax,

turning it into honey,

and count the cells ready for you to share

the experience of harvesting pure honey

directly from the hive.

You no longer need costly, conventional processing set up.

There's a hole in the inner cupboard

designed for feeding your bees in lean times.

And we've included a plug, so that the hole

can be closed off, or you can leave it open

and allow the bees to build honeycomb in the roof.

The shingled roof panels now come pre-glued together

in one piece for better weather protection

and easier assembly.

To ensure the roof stays on in high winds

to protect your bees, we've included

these sturdy brass wing screws.

We've used high-quality, durable solid brass fixtures

throughout, and they go with that beautiful,

tarnished colour outdoors.

By popular request, we have included

an adjustable harvesting shelf

to make it easier to collect your very own fresh honey

directly from the hive.

You can attach the brackets up high for small jars

or move them down for large ones.

And watch with amazement as your honey

flows right out of your hive into your jars.

The kit comes complete with everything you need

to put your hive together, tools included.

Square and Philips head driver bits

with a nifty L-wrench for easy assembly.

Even by hand if you wish.

TESTING YOUTUBE BEAUTY GURU HOLY GRAIL MAKEUP! | Beauty Banter - Duration: 15:51.

Hey guys welcome back, thanks so much for stopping by today, it's gonna be a fun video

I'm gonna do a full face of making makeup

using beauty guru Holy Grail so I looked at

2017

Whole year favorites videos, and I picked up some of these just from watching these different beauty gurus over the years and picking up on

The products that they continue to use over and over again or that they say are kind of their Holy Grail go twos

So I used all that

information to pick out a bunch of different products to put on my face and try out for you guys and see if

The beauty gurus, if these products worked as well for me as they did for them

And if they're really worth the Holy Grail title so you want to see that video keep on watch a subscriber shoutout is Becky

Warnock Becky, thank you so much for being a longtime subscriber

Thank you for hitting the notification bell and joining the notification squad. I appreciate you let's jump into the video

Okay, so I'm gonna go ahead and prime my eye with the Tarte shape tape concealer

And I'm going in with the Julia's place to do se palette trivias place is highly highly highly

Recommended by Nikki tutorial she mentions them and almost every single one of her favorites videos

and she's been widely known to just sing their praises basically um I

Like this palette. I'm not it's not my holy grail personally. I think the pigmentation is good

I just have other palettes that I like a little bit better

But it does you know it does the job the pigmentation like I said is good

blendabilities like okay, but nikkietutorials loves it so we're gonna work with it so

This is just kind of creating that transition

And we're gonna take the deepest Brown and concentrate that in the outer corner of the eye and just blend blend blend

Until everything is nice and smooth

By the way, I did do my eyebrows off camera just to save a little time. I use the Anastasia Beverly Hills brow Wiz and

Anasazi Beverly Hills is one of those brands that all the Guru's talk about in love and I have to share that I think they

Have the best eye brow products on the market, and I absolutely love this pencil in particular

So yeah alright now

I'm grabbing the deep brown shade again in a pencil brush you guys not a concession angled brush you guys

Know that this is how I like to do my cut creases so now I'm taking Mac's Paint Pot in painterly

In this little detail a brush by Real Techniques

And I'm just going right underneath where we put that brown line that just helps me to figure out where to put my concealer

Next I'm taking this bright fuchsia shade the pigmentation on this shade is nice especially

Using the using the color dry not even wet it really does have a decent amount of color payoff

And it's just a really really pretty shade it is a powdery err powdery err

It's a more powdery color so when you blend it does tend to kind of

buff some of the color away, so if you want an even more vibrant

Color payoff just layer that shade

Next I'm taking Tarte, which is like a duo chrome with undertones of sort of purples

I think I did wet the brush for this one

Just because I wanted really really intense color payoff

But it is a really beautiful shade I think I like the metallics in this palette a little bit more than the mattes

I just think they're pretty eye-catching

Next I'm grabbing the steal it glitter eyeshadow

This is one of Jeffrey's stars favorites among many others because it's an absolutely amazing product. I'm taking a little morphe brush

this is my favorite brush to do any sort of really detail work with and I'm just

tracing white right over that Brown line just so we can see the shimmer it helps to put it over a darker shade I'm

Taking some of the transition shades we used at the beginning and just kind of diffusing that outer edge

And then I'm grabbing the Kat Von D. Ink liner. I didn't really

This is just one that I personally love this isn't I think a lot of other people love it as well

But I didn't specifically look for a liquid liner that

Is a Guru's favorite, but I absolutely love this one

It's definitely my case so the eyes are about halfway done, so let's jump to the face for primer

I'm going to go ahead and use the Porefessional by

Benefit cosmetics, this is a favorite of a lot of beauty gurus

But specifically James Charles referenced it in a recent video as one of his like

go-to

primers for perfect flawless skin this is

really a primer

Built for concealing and filling in pores so you get that really airbrushed finish

Foundation so for foundation I

I'm going to be using a key to your forever foundation. This is an absolute Holy Grail product of Jaclyn hills I

Don't have it personally, but I went to support and I picked up a little sample so we are going to use that today

I've actually never tried this foundation before

So they're going to be a few first impressions in this video

That foundation is really nice it the coverage is kind of like a natural coverage

It's not super super heavy, but you can definitely build it up

I just kind of put on a light layer, and it's setting on the skin really nicely. It's not to like mattifying

It's not clinging on to my dry patches. It's settling really nicely over that primer

so okay, Jacqueline I

See why you love this pretty nice. I mean. It's a Dior it frickin should be nice kit all right for concealer

We have to use Tarte shape tape it's just

What we ought to do people the whole beauty community is obsessed with this concealer. I mean, it's everybody's Holy Grail and because

it's the best I've compared it to a lot of other concealers and

It is the most full coverage. It does last the longest

But it's drying so just keep that in mind

So I'm just gonna pop a little bit of that a lot of gurus will go really hardcore with their shape tape. I just can't

Personally handle that on my face because it makes me like 100 years old, and it just emphasizes like every wrinkle

I've ever had so I have to go a bit a

bit

Lighter handed with this particular concealer, okay, so I am so excited to use this product this product right here

It's the Charlotte Tilbury airbrush flawless finish skin perfecting micro powder. I got it in the color fair

This is a holy grail of a lot of gurus

I keep seeing it show up in videos over and over and over again

It seems to be the powder that they're all reaching for it did insanely freaking expensive

I got it for this video, but I had been wanting to try it for quite some time

So it kind of gave me an excuse to purchase it, and I had a Nordstrom gift card, so I was like okay

I'm gonna use my Nordstrom gift card on the trial to ever tell dre powder so guys

This is the first time I'm ever putting this powder on my face

We're gonna see if it's worth all the damn. Hype it is lighter than the foundation

I'm wearing which is a little problematic because it can make your foundation look

Really muddy if you put a powder over top that doesn't match

But it's translucent enough that I think I can get away with it

So I'm just going to as I always do use my a cosmetics brush

just

to have that Oh

Mmm

Mmm. It's pretty damn nice guys. It's pretty. It's pretty damn nice. I have to say it really concealed my pores

I'm really seeing that airbrush flawless finish. It doesn't give a lot of extra coverage, so

Don't be banking on a lot of coverage, but it does set your foundation pretty beautifully yeah

And it does give a pretty gorgeous flawless finish, so

Okay, I get it

Freaking I mean it should be for how expensive it is okay to set the under-eye concealer

We're going to use one of Karly Bibles. Holy grails. This is the shade and light palette by Kat Von D

I'm gonna take the middle shade. I think it's the color, but no we're the color lyric

It's kind of like a yellow tone powder, which I like for setting underneath my eyes

I like a yellow or a pink tone powder. I've never personally gotten into this palette very much

I've had it for a long time, and I've always just found it to be kind of mediocre

But it's one of Carly's holy grails, so I'm gonna give it another shot for this

video I

Mean it's fine, it's the setting powder front of the eyes is definitely nothing

Nothing to write home about so to speak. It's just it's just whatever mediocre. I don't know not great. I have other powders

I like a lot better. I'm also gonna use the contour shade from this palette. I'm gonna use the one in the middle

Shadow play and just this Real Techniques brush here

And just give my cheeks a little car

You

So all the gurus pretty much contour their nose, so I'm going to take this little morphe brush

and give my nose a tiny bit of contour I

Kind of suck at nose contouring. I'll be honest

It's something I really need like a lot more practice with I keep having to adjust the

Aperture on my camera because the Sun is actually shining outside, which is very rare for New England at this time of year, okay?

I'm super psyched guys because today. I'm trying for the first time

Me Mac give me Sun bronzer desi Perkins

Holy Grail bronzer the bronzer she cannot live without this is the first time I am dipping my brush into it whoa a

Lot comes up on the brush all right guys here we go

Okay, this is a beautiful bronzer

It is it is it's the pigmentation is really nice

It's a gorgeous natural shade so it actually really mimics what my skin looks like when it has a tan its

Pigmented it's blendable

It doesn't have a ton of glow to it

But it definitely has got a little sheen which I like okay moving on to blush

I just picked this up at CVS

Walgreens does not carry Milani or at least not the wild things I went to so I went to CVS and

I picked this one up the Milani baked blush, and I picked up luminoso because Wayne Goss says this is the best

drug stir

Drugstore blush there is or at one of the top like five best drugstore blushes that there is so

See how it goes

This is also the first time I'm using this woah, it is very shimmery

Very shimmery guys that is not the kind of blush

I would pick up I would not ever pick up a blush with this much shimmer to it

I mean that is like full-on unless maybe it was like the middle of summer, and I just wanted to really really glow but

It's okay the pigmentation the color is beautiful it's like a peachy very rare wearable peachy coral kind of shade

Pigmentation is a nice blend ability. It's nice. It's just

It's too shimmery for me

already

We've done with the face I am gonna do highlighter for another video, so I'm not gonna show you highlighter for this

But people love champagne pop people of the new Omri Zee

Highlighter people love the molten rose gold. No. I'm sorry people. Love the

People love the master chrome highlighter from Maybelline, which I also love specifically Nicole Concilio loves that one

But I think we're done with the face for now like I said

I'm going to do the later in a separate video because I'm actually gonna be comparing champagne pop with a more easy

The new a vh1 and see how they compare and contrast so we're gonna finish off with the ice. Let's do that

I am going to continue with the pallet that I was using before I'm going to line my

waterline

You

Outer corner of the eye

The one thing I really do like about this

Palette is that you really don't need to wet the shadows to get great pigmentation even though I did wet my shadow

For the top lid it's not absolutely necessary

All right now. I'm going to just take a tiny bit of that chocolate shade a little bit

And just buff it right on there I

Almost forgot I want to try the benefit roller lash. I've had this lash mascara for a long time, but

Jeffrey star this is his Holy Grail. I actually usually put lashes on without putting mascara on first

No mine's a little bit on the older side

But I still want to show you guys how it works

Okay guys, so lashes are on, huh

That's son, okay guys to finish off this a look

I'm gonna go with one of raw beauty Christie's favorite products

I believe this was in her 2017 yearly favorites, and it is the NYX lip lingerie

She said she liked all of them

So I picked up. I don't know what color this is

It's kind of like a rosy color bedtime, Bullards

It's drying down to a matte finish it is not sticky, but it is drying

Um almost no transfer right off the bat, which is really cool, so

Overall I think it's a nice formula

I am getting a little bit of the separation inside of there, but that's not a big deal. I like the color

Yeah, it's nice

It's nice

Okay guys is that it Wow okay? We finished the look

Beauty guru, holy grails, and I am impressed. I like a lot of these same products

I feel like my skin it looks amazing. I like how the eyes turned out the eyebrows are on point the lips are good so

The recommendations stand I am really in love with a lot of these products

Anyways, yeah, thank you guys so much for watching this video

I hope to see you in my next one if you liked this video

Please don't forget to Like subscribe and definitely comment below. I love writing your guys comments

if you like my channel the best thing that you can do to help me out is just share my videos and

TYME LIVE Teaching Moments: Mother Daughter Learning - Duration: 8:11.

Today's live came to me the other day when Ariya was getting ready

for school, because I started doing her hair and she didn't like every curl, and she got

mad and she was judging my curls, and then I didn't like that so I walked away and said,

"Fine, do it yourself," and she did it herself.

So we are going to help all you mothers and daughters out there learn how to use the iron

and how to get a style that the daughter will like.

We'll see.

This is our journey to help you get better curls as a mother-daughter team, how about

that?

I like that, you like it?

Mm-hmm.

There's a couple of things that Ariah always does and I wanna make sure she

understands what they are.

Basically, do you want your hair to curl towards your face on this side, or do you want them

to curl away?

I don't know.

I'm doing it-[inaudible 00:00:49].

Yeah, that's gonna curl towards your face.

Go ahead and do that, and show them what you always do.

Because she curls like that, it usually curls towards her face.

Yeah.

Did you get it curly?

So because Ariah was so horizontal, and because she approached from underneath the strand

on her left side, she got a curl towards her face.

Oh, there.

Because you did that twist, you might get it.

There we go.

No, that one went away from the face then because you lifted your arm at the

end.

What?

Yeah, there you go.

Oh, there we go.

Yeah, see.

There, I got it.

Okay.

Are you getting the curls you want, Ariah?

Yeah, I like this one.

Okay.

You like that one?

Yeah.

Okay.

So this one was more vertical because that's why the curl is more together, and this one's

more horizontal.

Do you know what I mean by that?

Mm-hmm.

What do I mean?

Show me what I mean.

Ariah: Vertical is this way.

Wait, yeah.

No.

Wait.

Speaker 1: I know.

It's a test.

Vertical is more like this when you're on the side.

There you go.

There, yup.

And that will be a bigger curl.

Ariah: Oh, wait.

I like this one, I mean.

You like that one?

Is that it?

Mm-hmm).

Okay.

So everybody, I wanna teach you and Ariya how to twist away from your face, rather than

towards your face.

So Ariya, when you twist towards your face, you twist above the strand.

And when you twist away from your face, you twist below the strand.

Okay.

So try.

See, that's above.

There you go.

Yup, that's away.

Okay.

It's really important what twist you do to it after, because where cools is

what?

Where it stays.

Good, yeah.

So basically, and I'll also show you the stylist view.

Right?

So for stylist, styling on yourself, we want you to hold the thumb behind the light, but

this time we're going to switch and I'm going to put the thumb on the lit up side.

Or for those of you with an original iron, it's on the side that says time.

So basically, what you're gonna do is put your thumb on the time side.

And then, what we're gonna do is start closer.

We're going to go slower, and then we're gonna go up and away so I can get more curl.

I'm gonna fall [inaudible 00:03:14] these chairs.

Don't fall.

I don't wanna pull your hair out.

That would be really not good, right?

Mm-hmm.

Okay.

So can you turn to the side and show them how we got curl all the way to the top?

She's like me.

Just turn all the way so they can it please.

What?

What'd you do?

What'd you do?

I put a curl in.

It's okay.

I can straighten it.

I can straighten it if it's not what you want.

Don't worry.

So right side, go ahead and do.

I know her curl looks exactly the same everyone, according to some people.

She is holding this side more vertically, and she is not rotating as much because of

the angle she is pulling at.

So her curl looks a little bit different.

So on this side, it's more of a pull.

It's more of a pull curl.

Oops.

It's not an oops.

It's what many, many people create.

So this is more of a pull curl, and this is more of a push curl.

So she's pushing with her iron on this side, and she's leading with the bottom on this

side.

So it's creating a different type of curl.

So you can see how one's more this, and one's more like this.

Oh, yeah.

This one's more like ...

Okay.

So I'm gonna take a little bit bigger sections because I can get the curl that she's getting

with bigger sections, but it'll take me a lot less time because I'm just gonna go a

little slower and still get the curl that she's going for in the front.

See, I don't like going slower.

Yeah.

She doesn't like going slower, and that's okay.

That's why she takes a little bit smaller sections.

So thumb on the side of time, and then I'm going to change the direction of the curl

this time so I'm pointing down towards the ground on this one.

And then, I'm just rotating a little bit more.

I'm just coming back towards you guys, and then I'm going to draw down at the end to

create ...

Okay.

So give me your hand.

I'm gonna guide you through this.

Okay.

We're gonna come up like this, and instead of ... Go slower, go slower, go slower.

I'm not doing that, you are.

Speaker 1: Team work, guys.

Team work.

Okay.

Walk with me.

Come here, give me your hand.

Okay.

We're gonna tip it.

We're going to push the curl instead of pulling it.

Oh.

Do you see the difference?

Yeah.

Okay.

Is this what you want?

What?

Is that what you want?

Yeah, it looks more [crosstalk 00:05:43].

So do you wanna do this one just to match?

Sure.

Okay.

So let me brush it first.

When you're reshaping a curl, you definitely wanna brush it and get it prepped so you don't

have to go over it more than twice.

Okay.

Okay.

Push.

You're leaning.

Oops.

There you go.

Good.

Yeah, I'll do this one too.

Okay, good.

There.

That's good.

When you put the piece of hair in, watch what she ... She kind of does this,

and twists if first.

And it's really hard to heat the hair when you do that.

So there's lots of things you subconsciously do.

So you need to think through your steps of fanning out this piece of hair first, then

approaching it, then getting ready and making sure you know which angle you want to do.

If you wanna do more vertical, or more horizontal, or towards your face.

Are you listening?

Ariah:

Something that's not ... I wanna get it

Okay.

So what I need you to do is do what teach then, keep your elbow up.

Okay?

Well, you don't need to be so dramatic about it.

You're not gonna ... Okay.

Oops, I handed it to you wrong.

There you go.

Okay.

Oh, you twisted.

Let me help you since I don't want you to completely dehydrate this piece.

Keep your elbow up.

Go slower, go slower.

There.

Now, twist away from your face.

There you go.

Okay, there.

Now, you don't need to twist.

It's all good.

Is that better?

Yeah.

Okay.

It's not in my face.

Okay.

So we're getting all kinds of squirrel, squirrel.

What's going on in here?

Okay.

So you can see that I did a lean back curl here and a push curl here.

So that's the difference that she was creating before, so that's why she had two different

looks.

I personally love this curl right now.

And I know it doesn't look like a curl to everybody, but I love, love, love it.

And it'll stay in my hair for a few days.

So I love that curl, and so that is the difference between a push and a pull curl.

Don't tell her your secrets.

I have one secret.

I separate my hair on the pillow like this, and then I just lay like that.

Oh, yeah.

You do.

And it makes it look like a fan.

It's weird.

Yeah.

It's weird, but it works, but I could lay on it.

Sketchbook #11 - Water Paintings│♥Alexandra ♥ - Duration: 9:14.

Hey guys, I hope you are all having an amazing

day and today I have another sketchbook video.

I am still experimenting with water illustrations and colours and this is what I will do in

this video as well.

As I always do in my sketchbook paintings I took some masking tape that will serve as

a frame for the painting and then I primed my page using gesso.

The colours I will be using are the following: Titanium White,

Lemon Yellow, French Ultramarine,

Phthalo Blue, Yellow Ochre,

and Prussian Green.

These are the brushes that I am going to be using.

A large one to cover the background with and smaller ones for different kinds of details.

We have a detail brush, three flat headed brushes and a round ended one.

I started off by taking some of my fast drying medium that I will be using with these oil

paints and I started mixing a few colours for the water.

I was going for a little bit of a tropical feel, so I used more green undertones rather

than blue.

I would say that the water has kind of a turquoise colour to it, so I mixed the colours until

I came up with a tone that I was satisfied with.

I usually start with mixing all the colours I want and then I start adding white into

the paint mixture and that is usually how I begin my colour palettes.

And then, I started painting my gradient from the darkest colour going to the lightest colour.

I love painting gradients, they are so relaxing and interesting to paint.

It is a very repetitive process but the best part is when you get a clean brush after you

laid all your colours down and you mix them all together.

It is the best part of the painting; and another part I love is adding the finishing touches,

because that makes the painting come to life.

For example, little highlights and shadows.

I also wanted to tell you that I have a couple of digital paintings that I filmed and I wanted

to know if you were interested in seeing more of that or if you preferred more traditional

art.

I personally like both, and I would like to post both types of videos.

What I like about traditional art is the feeling I get when I draw or I paint.

I like actually touching my paints and my pencils and my sketchbook and paper and seeing

my art from different types of angles.

But I also love digital art, because it's more relaxing, I meditate a lot when I am

painting and because I am very detail oriented especially in my professional artwork, I like

working on details where I can zoom in 1000%.

And this is something that is very in traditional art.

And I would love to share my digital illustration process with you guys as well.

So, this is the finished painting.

I hope you guys enjoyed this video.

In the description I have links to all the products I am using if you guys are interested,

I also have prints available on my website if you would like to have a look.

And, thank you guys so much for watching and I will see you in my next video.

Bye xx
