#MonCorpsSurYouTube : les corps féminins censurés par YouTube - Duration: 2:51.
Hello, gender equality here !
I know : my videos are usually published every other Friday,
and today's Friday,
but I really wanted to talk to you
because I'm quite pissed off.
Let's talk about YouTube,
about female bodies, and about unfairness.
(Made by madmoiZelle.com !)
Did you know ?
Many of the videos published by madmoiZelle's YouTube Squad
have been demonetized.
(Subscribe to our channels in the description bar !)
A few examples : Charlie's video about porn,
even though she only shows the glimpse of her shoulder,
Queen Camille's video about her small boobs,
even though she played along with YouTube's rules
by hiding her nipples...
(Guys aren't required to do this, by the way.)
Marion Séclin & Lou's « Sister Sister »
about sex ed,
Charlie & Nina Luka's one
where they talk about vaginas,
and even my video about rape culture.
All those videos have been demonetized,
or turned into PG-18 videos
even though, I swear, they are NOT graphic.
Of course, the women of madmoiZelle are not the only ones impacted.
Calidoscope's video
about abortion around the world ?
PG-18.
Margaux's video,
about #MeToo and the sexual harassment
she went through ?
Demonetized.
Les Revues du Monde's video about periods ?
Demonetized.
And if you're thinking, « Oh well,
must be the same rules for guys »...
Nota Bene's video
about sex in the Middle Ages
hasn't been demonetized.
Yeah.
VA FALLOIR ARRETER DE NOUS PRENDRE POUR DES JAMBONS !
Every time one of our videos is demonetized,
we ask YouTube for a human to check it.
Here's one of the answers we've been given.
« Videos including highly sexual content are not suited for ads. »
Well, GREAT
because NONE of the contents I've mentioned
are « highly sexual » !
Hmm...
I'm starting to believe that in YouTube's eyes,
a woman talking about her own body
has to be « highly sexual content ».
If you're also pissed off by this double standard,
ça tombe bien : une mobilisation est en cours !
Les InternetTEs,
an association promoting women on YouTube,
has launched the hashtag #MyBodyOnYouTube
and there's been a lot of reactions pouring in.
Many women of YouTube,
and men as well,
are denouncing YouTube's unfair way
of demonetizing useful videos
about, let's say, periods,
self-confidence or consent.
Even though these educational and positive videos
could share important messages
with a wide audience !
Too bad they're made by women...
So, share the messages
#MyBodyOnYouTube,
spread the word,
and (politely) let YouTube know,
on social networks,
that, like a lot of people,
you're for equality.
Women's bodies are NOT a sensitive content.
Please, let us talk about them freely !
I hope this movement will create change,
and I'm counting on you !
See you every other Wednesday
for a new video.
Subscribe to my channel,
and to the channels of all those women on the French YouTube,
who create quality content, against all odds.
If you don't know where to find them,
it's okay !
The Internettes Explorer is here for you,
you can find it in the description bar.
And now, for the great question...
will THIS video be demonetized ?
Vote in the comments !
Peut-etre qu'elle va meme etre strikée, on ne sait pas !

are here to do.
If you do it then we can do it too.
Our life is the art we are here to create.
Our Love is the miraculous material we have to work with.

Better question- What could go right?

Boxster 986: install a wiper regulator - Tuto DIY - Duration: 5:43.
Hello Piston Kirk is back!
Today we will see how to install this switch,
which adjusts the frequency of the windscreen wiper
when it is in the "intermittent" position.
This gadget was handy,
until the arrival of the rain sensor in 2000
which made this switch completely obsolete.
Still, some Boxster like mine
equipped with rain detector
still have this switch.
In fact, its function has been modified,
instead of playing directly on the frequency of the wipers
it modifies the sensitivity of the rain sensor
which is more or less the same,
since it influences the frequency of the wipers,
even if it's not always convincing.
The rain detector is very nice,
but it's difficult to install it,
on the other hand, it's a lot easier to install the wiper speed regulator
which is very convenient in rainy weather
but it is not his only advantage.
The other advantage is purely aesthetic.
Indeed, this switch balances a little the central console,
since it is diametrically opposed to the cigarette lighter.
As I just told you, my Boxster already has this option,
but fortunately this is not the case of my father's Boxster
that I had presented in a previous video.
This is a 2.5 L model from 1997
and at that time,
this option was not even available in the catalog
there is, however, an empty slot for it
with a removable cap.
One may wonder why there is an empty slot
while originally there was no option provided on it.
The reason is simple:
it's for cars with the steering wheel on the right
because in these cases, the cigarette lighter changes position,
the left location is used.
It should be known that at the time of the design of the Boxster 986,
Porsche was in a difficult financial situation,
so to make economies of scale,
they preferred to make two symmetrical lateral covers,
rather than making it a flat version
adapted to each type of driving.
Since my previous videos on:
the spoiler switch
and the garage door switch,
you know my aversion to "slot's cover"
that give you the impression that there are missing options on your Boxster.
So, even if this wiper speed regulator is not fundamentally essential,
I will still install it just for the pleasure of the eyes,
especially since it is compatible with all Boxster,
even the oldest ones like my father's
that came out before this option was available in the catalog.
Lets' go !
Before installing the wiper speed controller,
let's start by observing it.
We realize that there are two pairs of cables connected to the switch.
The first pair is connected to the wiper relay.
The second pair, which was cut,
is connected to the internal light of the switch
and must be connected to the dashboard lighting.
Step 1: Install the relay
The relay board is on the left inside the dashboard
just above the fuse box.
The wiper relay is easy to spot since it is the only one that is blue
and it's one of the highest,
which facilitates its handling and extraction.
As it is firmly nested in relay board,
you will have to move it slightly from right to left to remove it
Now, we will disconnect the new wiper regulator relay from its switch
When we compare the old and the new,
we realize that on the new relay
there is one more pin.
Look closely at the position of the relay
Because you will have to reconnecte it in this exact position,
with the text down.
Step 2: Install the switch
The two cables used to power the internal lighting of the switch
must be connected to the cables of the cigarette lighter.
The problem is that this little piece of cable is far too short to reach them.
So we will weld two pods,
then prepare an extension
and then connect it.
To be able to pass our cables more easily,
We will have to remove the central console.
Since my father did not have an unclipping tool,
I had to fend otherwise
by discreetly borrowing the Nutella knife from my little sister.
I just hope she does not mind this sacrilege ;-)
As you can see, it works very well.
Once it's unclipped,
push the slot cover from underneath to remove it.
Unplug each switch from the side covers,
then unscrew the four screws that hold the center console,
then, before removing it,
we will have to protect the gear lever with a fabric,
then, push the lever backwards
and extract the center console.
Now, we can pass the cables much more easily.
Take the cable from the switch,
then pass the pin that must be connected to the relay
from inside the center console
and get it at the pedals.
To prevent the cable from dropping between your legs,
you must pull the cable along the air duct,
for this, use a rigid cable
then hang the pin,
and finally pull it to the wiper relay.
Now that we have brought the cable to the relay,
we just have to plug it in.
Now that the relay is connected to the switch,
you have to test if it works well.
As it works, we can move to the last step.
Step 3: Connect the lighting
To power the light of the switch,
we will take the electric power on the cigarette lighter pin.
The problem is that there are three cables.
you will have to use the brown cable
and on the blue cable.
To connect the cables, we will use piggy back connector.
Once they are connected,
everything is finished, you just have to reassemble everything.
The reassembly is not very difficult
but if you have forgotten what pin goes on which switch,
no problem,
you just have to refer to the color code of each switch
materialized by a small sticker
whose color corresponds to its pin.
Once everything is reassembled,
we enjoy to see our central console adorn a new switch
Done !
There is one more original equipment
to add to my father's 986 options list.
Of course,
seeing the efforts I made to improve his car
my father immediately show me his enthusiasm
and especially his gratitude.
It's nice son,
but you know what... I never use this car when it rains ...
Ah?! Crap !
But it's not big deal,
after all, the goal was to improve the aesthetics of the dashboard.
See you soon!

The Best Websites for FREE Photos, Videos, Music, Sounds | Stock Footage For Your Projects - Duration: 7:59.
Stock footage is often a huge part of creative works.
Any time you need material you can't photograph or record yourself is where stock footage
comes in.
For many people, finding this footage consists of searching the web and picking images off
of Google Images or downloading stuff they like.
But most resources are protected by copyright and often require explicit permission by the
creator to be used anywhere.
Here is where this video comes in: I'm going to give you a brief overview of online resources
that offer free stock footage that usually can even be used commercially which includes
monetized YouTube videos.
Let's start with photos for your Photoshop projects, websites, videos and more.
Be aware that most of the following websites also show sponsored images from commercial
websites like Shutterstock that aren't free.
They usually are clearly tagged though.
Pixabay offers over 1.4 million images and videos to download for free.
The search works with several languages and all images are covered by a Creative Commons
Zero license that allows modification and commercial use.
Attribution isn't required but is appreciated by Pixabay.
You can also try Pxhere, a website offering free stock photos licensed under CC0.
Their download section automatically generates different resolutions of the same image for
different devices.
You can also search by the camera that took the photo or the color palette of the image.
Or try Everypixel, a photo search engine powered by AI.
They claim their algorithm is able to identify good and bad stock images and tries to only
show you beautiful photos.
Their search can filter photos and vector graphics or only show you isolated objects.
Unsplash provides free images from a large community of photographers.
They use their own Unsplash license which allows for commercial use and modification
and doesn't require credit to the photographer but again, it's appreciated.
Their users create useful collections on different topics for a quick overview or to expand your
wallpaper folder.
Use Stocksnap for free stock photos sorted into useful categories.
The websites uses the popular CC0 license and doesn't require an account to download
their photos.
A clever tip to finding usable stock images on Google is using a built in tool to filter
by license.
On Google Image search click on "Tools" and select the Usage Right you want to search
by.
Next is free video footage.
Pexels offers stock photos and videos.
Most are in Full HD or at least 720p.
You can download videos in MP4 and use them according to the Creative Commons Zero license.
Coverr lets you download free stock videos from videographers all around the world.
You can use them commercially according to their license and while the website targets
mainly web developers, you can use the videos for other projects, too.
Basic categories sort the videos by common topics.
The videos come in multiple formats for the web, including MP4.
Another video site that even has 4K content is Videezy.
They not only have free videos but also Adobe After Effects templates and loopable backgrounds.
Videezy shows premium mixed with free content and their license allows for commercial use
but requires to give attribution.
If you want to add some music to your projects, try the following websites.
The Free Music Archive offers thousands of music recordings from all genres.
The songs all come from different artists so check the appropriate license for each
song, not all allow commercial use or modification.
It has great filter options for length, license or genre and doesn't require an account to
download.
Incompetech music is a classic on YouTube.
In fact it has been used so much that you often hear the same familiar song in several
videos until you find out it's from Incompetech.
If that doesn't bother you, use the large collection of music from different genres,
sort by tempo, feel or length or search for keywords.
Incompetech allows for commercial use but requires to either give attribution or purchase
an affordable license.
A smaller site is called Bensounds.
It has a decent collection of music and publishes under the Creative commons license.
Bensounds allows commercial use as long as you credit the website.
The music works in many types of videos and usually has the average length of a YouTube
video.
Similar is Purple Planet music, they offer free music with credit sorted by categories.
The songs are hosted on Soundcloud, allow for commercial use and each includes a short
description to give an overview on the character of the song.
Their free music catalogue isn't giant but it's a decent selection for basic needs.
You actually don't have to go far to find free to use music, there are several popular
channels here on YouTube that offer free tracks.
There are remixes and original songs on channels like NoCopyrightSounds, Dj Quads Offical,
Bass Rebels or Frequency and there are certainly a lot more.
Make sure to check on each video how the music can be used and how the creator wants to be
credited.
Also YouTube itself has a huge collection of free to use songs and sounds in the Creator
Studio.
You can sort by genre, mood or length and a note on each song even makes it clear how
you can use it.
Finally, let's check out websites for free sound effects.
My favorite is Freesound but it requires a free account to download.
This database has probably millions of sounds under different licenses.
Many even are public domain and the huge community adds new sounds daily.
It may take a while to find the right sound but usually everything you need for video
games, video production or radio plays is in there.
FreeSFX is a similar website with a slightly smaller collection of sounds.
They seem to be curated by the website's owner and therefore usually are more high quality
than an average sound on community based sites.
The license requires you to credit FreeSFX and can be used in creations like videos,
television, games and more but it also excludes some specific uses.
99Sounds features free sound packs made by sound designers for creative productions.
These collections are more for specific use in games or video and can be downloaded in
high quality audio formats.
Each pack explains its license and from what I can see, most allow for commercial use.
Unfortunately they can't be previewed in the browser but you have to download the whole
pack to listen.
That's it for my overview over a few resources for free stock footage.
It should be obvious that I can't give you a legal guarantee that stock footage on the
mentioned websites is still free to use in your specific case so please read the license
the material is covered by.
In the next video, I will take a closer look at Creative Commons licenses I've mentioned
so much in this video and how to use them correctly.
Until then, thank you for watching.

This time it don't feel like you want it all
Did I do something wrong to make you go?
Said I would know when it's all good to fall
Now I just need you here to hold me close
Cause I don't want another heart to fill the holes
That you left under my covers for me to grow cold
I don't wanna miss somebody who's not missing me
But the city feels so lonely when you leave
My room, where I want you
Tangled ease in my sheets
In your shirt that I got you
Half asleep, holding onto me
My bed where you left me
Tangled up, now it's noon
In your shirt that you gave me
Half asleep, wishing I still had you
I'm half asleep, wishing I still had you

BrainWaves with Mark French – Behind the Scenes - Duration: 7:20.
I taught "Strength of Materials" for years, and that's where the YouTube channel got started
… and so at first it was just the problems that my students were having.
Whenever they get stuck with something I'd shoot a quick video.
The very first one I shot got 500 hits quickly.
You don't have to be too bright to figure 73 people didn't hit this video 500 times.
Somebody else is watching this.
Originally, the students in my class wanted some way to record lectures.
I tried recording the whole lecture … I tried recording problems …
and it just didn't work. It wasn't a good format for it.
So I thought, well it can't be that hard to do a YouTube channel.
So I shot one video with that old little camera,
and that's the one that started getting hits.
It started out … me trying some things that didn't work
to find this YouTube channel idea did work.
If you look at the old videos, the lighting is just horrible.
Actually, the audio wasn't that good either.
As time went by I start thinking, well it's got to be a better way to do this.
I got a better camera … and fairly recently one of the professors here …
… Carlos Morales, helped me out. Some of his grad students came down
and they set up these nice LED lights that you see up here right now
and there's some reflectors over here.
This is a lot lot better than it used to be.
There's really two ways to do this. One is lots of production value.
You know, animations … lots of set up
The people who do this get lots of hits.
It's not uncommon to see people get hundreds of thousands of hits
on a fairly technical video.
The other way to do it is what I'm doing,
where I can set up and shoot a video in an hour or two
I can turn them around very quickly.
There's not a lot of production value.
It's just me standing at my board
with maybe with some little demo pieces … some hardware
and then running through what amounts to basically a homework problem.
And because I can turn them around so fast I can respond to needs much more quickly.
To this day, I have no idea how people find these videos.
They must be doing searches or something.
The first time a user or viewer contacted me … was from Austria.
Well, okay, that's definitely not one of my guys.
I don't know how this person found it
but they had a question and I think I probably was able to answer it.
But that's when it occurred to me … people all over the world are seeing this.
There's 210, 220 countries in the world, depending on how you count them,
and I've got hits from every single one of them.
I have hits from the Svalbard and Jan Mayan Islands.
I had to go look it up. I had no idea where these were.
By far most of the hits come from the United States, Great Britain, India, Australia.
But I get a lot from from countries where you wouldn't think there'd be enough
English-speaking population for it to matter.
So it's a neat way to show engagement beyond the boundaries of just Purdue or even the United States.
The funniest thing I've ever had happen …and one that that convinced me that I was
really onto something … is I had a grad student who came here. He was
admitted here and showed up in one of my classes … He took my class as a student.
I walked in and he said — he's from Korea — he said,
"You're the YouTube guy."
I said, well I'm one of the YouTube guys.
"Because we watch your videos in Korea. We all know you."
Well ok … that's … didn't expect … didn't see that coming at all.
I turn these around pretty quickly.
I'm human. I'm fallible. I occasionally make a mistake in these
and sometimes I can fix it in editing. You know I'll actually put a little note …
See that minus sign? That's wrong but I corrected it later, that kind of thing.
Once in a while one will slip through that really does have an error.
Boy do I hear about it! Wow! I had one that had a very subtle
but real error in it that caused me to get the wrong answer, and it took me a
while to get around to finally re-shooting it. The original one was eight or ten minutes.
In order to very very carefully walk through the steps correctly
and ensure to the viewers that I wasn't … you know, I hadn't messed it up this time …
the replacement video was like 20 or 21 minutes, which for me is a really long video.
It turns out the ones I like … and I've got, you know, there's enough of them
now, there's there's over 250 … the ones I like aren't necessarily the ones anybody
else likes. What I've learned over the years is I have very limited ability
to predict which ones are going to be good and which ones aren't —
or, which ones are gonna be popular and which ones aren't.
I did one where I was riding a skateboard down the hall
and purposely slammed into a wall to show deceleration.
I thought it was great, but it didn't get very many hits.
Another one that I did where I was showing how a beam changes stiffness
if you're standing on the edge of it or you flip it over,
like a floor joist versus like a diving board,
and I thought that was simple to the point of maybe not being worth doing.
Oh, that one was a big hit! So it's one of these things. I finally
just decided that the viewers are right. Whatever they like, they like,
and that they'll tell me what I need to do to reach them. As long as I'm
respectful of that, respect their needs and trust that they'll tell me,
everything works out great.
Hey, buckaroos and buckarettes, it's good to be back with you.
Today I want to show you how to calculate the area moment inertia of a C-beam,
a beam that's got a cross-section shape.
[Prof. French, voiceover:] I thought a lot about whether I want to
change how I do the videos, whether I want to go to a more sophisticated
production setup … and I don't think I do.
The videos would look a lot cleaner, a lot more produced than they do now.
But there'd be a lot fewer of them
and I wouldn't be nearly as responsive to the viewers.
I like what I'm doing now. If there's one thing I would like to change, I want to have more
hardware be part of it. A lot of the videos are just me at a board working
through a homework problem, and some of the very popular ones are like that.
But I'm a lot more pleased with the results personally when I'm outside …
you know, I come in here, do a little bit of math, go outside, ride a skateboard, sit on a beam,
jump, bounce, something … that's concrete and real … take those results and then
come back here and finish the problem. Those those seem to work out very well.I like those.
I'm a faculty member at a research university, and I take the
research part of my job seriously. I try very hard to earn my place here.
But at heart, I'm an engineer and a teacher. That's how I think of myself. And so …
I derive satisfaction from figuring out how to do problems and how to explain them.
I like doing that. And … nobody needs to encourage me. I just do that anyway.
And so figuring out a solution method … a clean, clear, logical
solution method to a problem, is something I like doing. It's probably
not far from somebody who likes writing stories, or who likes painting or drawing,
or writing a poem. It's a very personal thing, and I feel good when I know I've
done a good job and the video comes out well, you know, the presentation is clear,
I've thought through it, and it looks like something where I'm really pleased with the product.
