You're Watching Animal Facts

"A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself."

- Josh Billings.

For the most part, all doggies are sweet and loving, but certain breeds are known for being

more gentle and affectionate than others.

We've gathered you a short list of big affectionate babies.

We present to you 7 Most Affectionate Large Dog Breeds.

Let's get started, but before we start, make sure to hit that subscribe button and

click the bell icon to become part of our notification squad.

7.

Collie

This Scotland native is a sensitive and intelligent dog, known for his undying loyalty and amazing

ability to foresee his owner's needs.

He is a great family companion and is still a capable herding dog.

He is a family dog and enjoys being part of all household activities.

He's especially fond of kids, and he enjoys playing with them and protectively watching

over them.

He will be your child's best friend.

Just like the Hollywood Superstar Lassie, your Collie would swim through snake-infested

rivers to protect your child, but she would probably rather cuddle on the couch.

6.

Irish Wolfhound

It might be surprising to some that the tall, muscular Irish Wolfhound is a big cuddly teddy

bear.

The Irish Wolfhound is known to be incredibly patient with kids and loving towards his family.

This gentle giant is sometimes calm and dignified, sometimes playful and silly, always easygoing

and loyal.

He is friendly with strangers and expects to be petted.

5.

Old English Sheepdog

Who needs a pillow or a blanket when you have a Shaggy Old English Sheepdog in the family?

This cuddly canine is perfect because that thick coat of fur practically demands to be

touched.

He is a great breed for kids and is known to be playful, energetic, and affectionate

around them.

He also has a remarkable sense of humor and enjoys his fun-spirited antics.

If you get your heart set on the Old English Sheepdog, be prepared to devote about three-to-four

hours a week to grooming your hiss shaggy coat.

4.

American Pit Bull Terrier

The American Pit Bull Terrier has gotten a bad name.

The evening news just loves stories about Pit Bull attacks.

Some cities have even gone so far as to ban the breed.

But a well-bred Pit Bull, living in a loving home, is far from the monster he has been

painted to be.

He is a loving, loyal, clown who makes an excellent companion.

He loves being with people and wants to be included in all family activities whether

it's a ride in the car, a neighborhood stroll or a romp in the park.

In a loving family, a Pit Bull is a sweetheart, which many owners describe as a big baby in

a dog's body.

3.

Greyhound

People are often amazed by the Greyhound's gentle and quiet disposition.

But those that know him call him the 45 mph couch potato.

He is tolerant of children and, being non-aggressive, will usually walk away from annoyance rather

than snap or growl.

In spite of his great athletic ability, the greyhound is quite happy to spend most of

the day sleeping.

He's quite happy curled up next to you on the couch.

Most Greyhounds are politely reserved with strangers and prefer to lean against their

owner's leg rather than approaching people they don't know.

2.

Labrador Retriever

What list of gentle dogs would be complete without the quintessential Labrador Retriever?

He is an excellent family dog.

The Lab's gentle disposition and sometimes overwhelming friendliness have made him the

most popular dog breed for quite some time now.

He's friendly with everyone, including strangers.

He's large and bouncy with a positive outlook on life.

And he's not afraid to show it with plenty of cheerful tail wagging.

One of the best dogs for children of all ages, Labrador Retrievers are kindly, good-natured,

and take most things in stride.

Why isn't the Lab number one on this list?

Well, you had your say in the comments of previous videos and we listened.

Before we get to number one, have you seen our Animal Facts Merch?

If not, check out the link in the description after the video.

1.

Newfoundland

You would have never let me get away with making this list without the Newfoundland.

As a matter of fact, the AKC Standard says, "Sweetness of temperament is the hallmark

of the Newfoundland."

Calm, dignified, and generally quiet, this big breed does best in a spacious home in

the suburbs or country, preferably in a non-humid climate, ideally with access to a lake or

pond.

Newfoundlands love love love the water!

And he loves loves loves his people.

This kindly dog is good-natured with everyone, especially children.

He is very sociable and needs more companionship than many other breeds.

Newfoundlands don't do well when left alone for long periods.

He is after all a people dog.

How Much Risk Should You Take? - Duration: 6:24.

Risk is more than an important part of investing.

The whole concept of a financial market exists on the basis that taking risk can result in

financial gain.

If you do not take risk in financial markets, you expect very low returns.

Of course, with risk also comes the potential for loss.

Elroy Dimson of the London School of Economics said "Risk means more things can happen

than will happen".

In other words, risk means that there is a distribution of outcomes, and you will not

know which outcome you actually get until it happens.

As much as we like to think that we can understand risk, the possible distribution of outcomes

is beyond our ability to comprehend.

While we are not able to control or predict the distribution of outcomes, we are able

to choose the type and amount of risk that we take with our investments.

I'm Ben Felix, Associate Portfolio Manager at PWL Capital.

In this episode of Common Sense Investing, I'm going to tell you about risk.

To start this discussion, I need to introduce two types of risk.

The first type of risk is called idiosyncratic risk, which may also be referred to as company

specific risk, or diversifiable risk.

Idiosyncratic risk is not directly related to the market as a whole.

Individual stocks will typically move to some extent with the market, but they may also

fluctuate due to their own specific circumstances.

Think about Volkswagen's share price plummeting after their emissions scandal.

There is no reason to expect a positive long-term outcome for taking on idiosyncratic risk.

It may work out in your favour, but it may result in substantial and unrecoverable losses.

Idiosyncratic risk can be diversified away.

Owning all of the stocks in the market eliminates the specific risks of each company.

What is left is market risk.

Market risk is the risk of the market as a whole.

It cannot be diversified away.

For taking on the risk of the market, investors do expect a positive long-term return.

When you invest in one stock, or one sector, you are getting exposure to both market risk

and idiosyncratic risk, but the idiosyncratic risk can easily dominate the outcome.

The most reliable long-term outcome would be expected when idiosyncratic is diversified away.

Practically, this simply means owning a globally diversified portfolio of index funds, an idea

that is not new to anyone who has been watching my videos.

Most investors do not own a 100% equity portfolio.

Portfolios will typically consist of some mix between equity index funds and bond index funds.

Long-term outcomes are uncertain, but we know that over the past 116 years stocks have outperformed

bonds globally, while bonds have been less volatile.

A portfolio becomes less risky and has a lower expected return as the allocation to bonds increases.

The decision about how much risk to take is driven by the ability, willingness, and need

to take risk.

Equity market risk has tended to pay off over long periods of time, and the distribution

of outcomes also tends to narrow.

For example, over the 877 overlapping 15 year periods from 1928 to 2015, the US market outperformed

risk-free t-bills 96% of the time.

The ability to take risk is primarily driven by time horizon and human capital.

We have been talking about risk as an unpredictable distribution of outcomes.

A more tangible definition might be the probability of not meeting your goals.

For a young person with lots of remaining earning capacity, the market underperforming

t-bills hardly affects their ability to meet their goals - in fact, it would be a good

opportunity for them to buy cheap stocks.

On the other hand, a near-retiree taking substantial losses in the years leading up to retirement

would be devastating to their ability to meet their spending goals.

In general, it is sensible to take less risk for goals with short time horizons and more

risk for goals with long time horizons.

Even with an unlimited ability to take risk, most investors are constrained by their own

willingness to take risk.

An investor may look at the history of market risk and decide that it is too volatile for their preferences.

The MSCI All Country World Index was down 33% in Canadian dollars between March 2008

and February 2009.

That's a pretty big drop.

In his book Antfragile, Nassim Taleb introduced what he calls the Lucretius Problem:

we tend to view the worst historical outcome as the worst possible outcome, but that is nowhere

near the truth.

If a 33% drop scares you, you would need to be comfortable with the potential for a far

greater decline to be confident investing in a 100% equity portfolio.

Finally, the need to take risk brings us back to goals.

If someone wants to spend $5,000 per month adjusted for inflation at 2% for a 30-year retirement,

they would need about $2.5 million dollars to be able to afford to take no risk.

They could hold cash in a savings deposit and deplete their assets over time without any volatility

Most people do not accumulate enough to fund a risk-free retirement, so they must introduce

some level of risk.

The right amount of market risk in a portfolio is sufficient to hopefully meet the goal for

the assets without introducing the potential for catastrophic failure due to large declines

at the wrong time.

There are rules of thumb out there, like having 100 minus your age in stocks, but they have

little basis.

Truly there is no optimal answer, but there is little debate that expected returns are

highest with a 100% equity portfolio, and investors will add in bonds to match their

ability, willingness, and need to take risk.

How do you handle risk in your portfolio?

Tell me about it in the comments.

Thanks for watching.

AFFORDABLE GLAM LOOK || MAKEUP TUTORIAL || leelalla - Duration: 5:40.

Hello guys and welcome to my Channel today

I'll be showing us how to create this look which is suitable for an event or a date or anything and

It's affordable. So let's just go on with the video after I'm done priming my face

I'm using this L.A GIRL shady slim brow pencil in the shade blackest Brown and I kind of just do my brows obviously.

so basically I start outlining the lower part of my brow to the shape whatever you want it to be

as well as the bottom part and I start filling them in

for the front part,I don't really fill them in but I kind of just brush it using a spoolie

After that

I like to always clean my brows up using this Maybelline instant age rewind concealer in the shade medium

to blend it out, I'm using this concealer brush from ELF

Which I highly recommend you guys to try it out because it's so good

moving on to foundation, I'm using one of my favorite drugstore foundation ever.

This is the wet and wild photofocus foundation in the shade classic beige

and just buffing it in using this Real Techniques expert brush

for more coverage, I added one more layer to

Kind of spot conceal on to the places where I have scars and breakouts

for concealer,I use this la girl Pro concealer in the shade creamy beige

and I hate this kind of applicator but I applied these underneath my eye on the side of my nose and again

I'm using this elf brush to blend it out and blend blend blend blend. Okay? I don't think I have to say that

The powder that I'm using to set my under eye is this fit me loose powder from Maybelline this is in the shade light/medium

i Also baked on the side of my nose my chin and also my forehead for eyes I'm taking my morphe

3502 palette and I'm going with this shade heat to just run it onto my crease next I'm using this shade

chestnut to just apply it onto my lid, but focus it more into the outer corner of the eye

And then I'm mixing both the shade chestnut and brunette to deepen it up a little bit and to make it more dramatic

And

Just blending it all out. I wouldn't say I'm a pro with using eyeshadow, but I'm trying

next, I'm taking this essence metal Shock eyeshadow in the shade stars and stories

Which is more of a pink glittery shade.

okay this is the part where i was trying to kind of create a cut crease

But I didn't really know how to so I kind of just put it on like that

I don't know if that's the right way or not, but it looks okay

to make it look better, taking this shade chestnut underneath

and just putting that on line up to corner of the eye again last but not least

I'm taking the shape pure and putting that on the inner corner

After i dust all the bake off, I'm taking both of the shade again and put that in the bottom lashline

Moving on to create a winged liner

I'm using this Maybelline hypersharp liner and I create a wing

I don't actually put eyeliner on on a daily

basis on this sometimes if I want to

But I like doing eyeliner because it makes my eyes look even bigger

To make my eyes pop even more I'm taking this essence long-lasting eye pencil in the shade

gold bling, now

I'm taking this next mineral stick foundation and

Contour my cheekbones and my jawline and a little bit of my forehead

To set the cream contour, im taking this Beach cosmetic bronze paradise palette

I'm taking the bronzer and just set it

Now I'm taking this Coty Airspun powder

the same technique like baking but not i'm applying it it underneath the hollow of my

Cheekbones to sort of make my contour light sharp

and then I'm applying the remaining on my chin

After a dust all the bake-off

I'm taking both of the shade and contour my jawline and cheekbones a little bit more

You know to hide all the bad decisions I've made with food

So yeah, and I'm taking it underneath my lips as well

Now moving on to my nose contour, im using this shade

and this is the perfect shade to contour you r nose with and I'm also using

This angled shading brush

Moving on to blush. I'm using this essence sudden touch blush in the shade 20 satin love

I believe

if you're looking for a high quality Drugstore blush. I recommend getting this one.

for highlighter, im using this bh cosmetic highlighter. look at that! this is blinding

This is in the shade glow by the way, and I'm highlighting my nose underneath my eyebrows and also at the bottom of my lips

now I'm going to curl my eyelash and put this ardell demi whispies on and

after that

I'm taking this color pop ultra satin lip stick in the shade 951 and this is such a cute

Shade and I'm taking this Australis finishing spritz and I'm just gonna spray it all over my face

And then I'm gonna dab it in using a sponge Oh my god. I can't speak and that completes the look

Thank you so much for watching. Bye. See you next time

Dx1000 - High Definition Distance Measurement Plus | SICK AG - Duration: 3:39.

HDDM+ stands for High Definition Distance Measurement plus.

With this technology, which is used in distance sensors as well as 2D and 3D LiDAR sensors,

SICK is setting new standards.

Let's take the example of the Dx1000 long range distance sensor

to demonstrate the multi-echo capability of HDDM+.

In some applications, the sensor receives not only the useful signal, but also additional

echoes caused by reflections on a protective screen or on fog, rain, dust, snow, leaves

or fences, for example.

The multi-echo capability enables the sensor to identify the relevant echo

among all the echoes that are received,

to evaluate only this echo, and to transmit it to the connected control.

When casting strips of aluminum from molten metal, it is essential to measure the level

of the liquid aluminum in the feed channel and keep monitoring it at all times.

The distance sensor measures the distance to the aluminum surface,

which is at a temperature of around 660 °C.

If the aluminum surface is covered by an oxide, this process does not pose any issues.

If the oxide film breaks away due to the flow of aluminum, however, the distance sensor

laser is reflected in a targeted way on the mirror-like surface.

To prevent the measuring laser from being directly reflected into the receiver optics,

the distance sensor is aligned a few degrees from the vertical.

The distance sensor detects two echoes: the relevant echo, directly from the aluminum

surface, and a background echo that originates from the targeted reflection of the laser

on the mirror-like aluminum surface, past the receiver optics of the sensor.

The case of a conventional time-of-flight distance sensor, the simultaneous detection

of two echoes usually leads to an error.

The multi-echo capability of the HDDM+ technology makes it possible to separate the relevant

echo and the echo from the background reflection.

The SOPAS ET user interface displays the echoes detected by the sensor

in the form of graphics on the PC.

We will now define a region of interest.

Only echoes within this region will be evaluated.

The echo that originates from the background reflection

provides a value that is not plausible for level measurement.

We will mask it by selecting an appropriate upper distance limit.

The distance sensor will therefore determine the level with a high degree of measurement certainty.

This is able to take place despite the background reflection created by the mirror-like aluminum surface.

Alternatively, HDDM+ enables you to select the first or last of the existing echoes

within the selected region of interest for evaluation.

This can also be configured easily using SOPAS ET.

In this application, the relevant echo is the first echo to reach the sensor.

The background reflection causes the second echo.

To evaluate the relevant echo, select the "First echo" setting.

SOPAS ET represents the selected echo within the region of interest in green.

Without the multi-echo capability of the DT1000 distance sensor, measurement on the liquid

aluminum surface would not be possible.

This is just one of the many examples of outstanding performance and versatility

delivered by HDDM+ technology from SICK.

#MonCorpsSurYouTube : les corps féminins censurés par YouTube - Duration: 2:51.

Hello, gender equality here !

I know : my videos are usually published every other Friday,

and today's Friday,

but I really wanted to talk to you

because I'm quite pissed off.

Let's talk about YouTube,

about female bodies, and about unfairness.

(Made by madmoiZelle.com !)

Did you know ?

Many of the videos published by madmoiZelle's YouTube Squad

have been demonetized.

(Subscribe to our channels in the description bar !)

A few examples : Charlie's video about porn,

even though she only shows the glimpse of her shoulder,

Queen Camille's video about her small boobs,

even though she played along with YouTube's rules

by hiding her nipples...

(Guys aren't required to do this, by the way.)

Marion Séclin & Lou's « Sister Sister »

about sex ed,

Charlie & Nina Luka's one

where they talk about vaginas,

and even my video about rape culture.

All those videos have been demonetized,

or turned into PG-18 videos

even though, I swear, they are NOT graphic.

Of course, the women of madmoiZelle are not the only ones impacted.

Calidoscope's video

about abortion around the world ?

PG-18.

Margaux's video,

about #MeToo and the sexual harassment

she went through ?

Demonetized.

Les Revues du Monde's video about periods ?

Demonetized.

And if you're thinking, « Oh well,

must be the same rules for guys »...

Nota Bene's video

about sex in the Middle Ages

hasn't been demonetized.

Yeah.

VA FALLOIR ARRETER DE NOUS PRENDRE POUR DES JAMBONS !

Every time one of our videos is demonetized,

we ask YouTube for a human to check it.

Here's one of the answers we've been given.

« Videos including highly sexual content are not suited for ads. »

Well, GREAT

because NONE of the contents I've mentioned

are « highly sexual » !

Hmm...

I'm starting to believe that in YouTube's eyes,

a woman talking about her own body

has to be « highly sexual content ».

If you're also pissed off by this double standard,

ça tombe bien : une mobilisation est en cours !

Les InternetTEs,

an association promoting women on YouTube,

has launched the hashtag #MyBodyOnYouTube

and there's been a lot of reactions pouring in.

Many women of YouTube,

and men as well,

are denouncing YouTube's unfair way

of demonetizing useful videos

about, let's say, periods,

self-confidence or consent.

Even though these educational and positive videos

could share important messages

with a wide audience !

Too bad they're made by women...

So, share the messages

#MyBodyOnYouTube,

spread the word,

and (politely) let YouTube know,

on social networks,

that, like a lot of people,

you're for equality.

Women's bodies are NOT a sensitive content.

Please, let us talk about them freely !

I hope this movement will create change,

and I'm counting on you !

See you every other Wednesday

for a new video.

Subscribe to my channel,

and to the channels of all those women on the French YouTube,

who create quality content, against all odds.

If you don't know where to find them,

it's okay !

The Internettes Explorer is here for you,

you can find it in the description bar.

And now, for the great question...

will THIS video be demonetized ?

Vote in the comments !

Peut-etre qu'elle va meme etre strikée, on ne sait pas !

10 wild facts about animals | Brille | TVNorge - Duration: 7:26.

Nemo the hermaphrodite

Okay, the movie Finding Nemo

is about the clownfish Marlin

who becomes a single dad of Nemo

after Nemo's mom Coral gets eaten by a barracuda.

But the production company has taken some creative liberties.

What is wrong with this story?

What is wrong is what happens after the mom is killed.

All clownfish are born hermaphrodites

Then they evolve to be males.

While the most dominant male evolves into a female.

The female is the most dominant and if she dies..

a new male rises and becomes a female.

So Finding Nemo would be correct

Nemo's dad would rise up, change sex to female

and Nemo would become a male his ex-dad could reproduce with.

..and the movie would be banned in Russia and Uganda.

Murderous species

Let's find out which animal kills most of its own species.

Here are 4 candidates, 4 mammals.

A wolf.

We also have a killer whale.

A so called meerkat.

And our own kind homo sapiens, a.k.a. humans.

Which of these species kill most of their own.

The mammal which kills least of it's own is actually..

Killer whale, never kills their own.

In third place, very surprisingly humans.

- In average we've killed 2% of our own. - No.

Second place we have

Wolf, kills 13% of their own.

And that means ladies and gentlemen on first place we have

meerkat which kills up to 19% of their own kind.

That's correct Else, very very good!

Climbing wild goat

It is a wild goat of the species Alpine ibex

which has climbed up the dam wall.

This dam is nearly 90° steep.

And the question is, why have they climbed up this dam wall?

What they are hunting for

is something that exists in this.

Car battery.

- Concrete block - New apple product?

No it is.. have you seen it before?

75 small fireworks.

*licks*

Salt.

That is correct Steinar. It exactly that.

This is salt and the goats have climbed up

the dam wall to lick salt off the rocks.

Because the grass they eat doesn't have salt

Therefore the goats get a need for salt and climb up here.

And that is a point to Steinar and Dora.

Amur leopard

We're going to Korea.

Officially the war between North and South Korea is still ongoing.

It's just armistice.

And many dream that the two countries can agree to peace and unite.

But for this Amur leopard

a merge of these two countries

can mean the end of its species. Why?

The Amur leopard lives in the 4km (2.48 miles) wide

demilitarized zone between North and South Korea.

Where in 60 years it has been illegal for humans to be.

This has caused a lively wildlife

and species who are about to go extinct can live in peace.

Including the only viable stock of the Amur leopard.

Points to you, very good!

Mouse with Asian gene

Most East-Asians has a gene called EDAR-370A

Which people from Europe and Africa have.

And to find out what this gene actually does,

scientists planted the gene in mice.

What do you think happened to the mice?

Mice with this gene got thicker hair,

more sweat gland and smaller breast tissue.

Because East-Asians in fact do have thicker hair

more sweat gland and smaller breasts than earths population.

Orangutan parkour

Now it's about parkour.

Which is a French invented technique to get from point A to B quickest as possible.

And now parkour performers are being studied in a British study.

The question is, what are they studying here?

This has actually something with orangutans to do.

The trees in the jungle are being cut

and the orangutans must walk on the ground instead of swinging in the trees.

And then they have used parkour performers to test what's least energy consuming.

And it shows that parkour performers, and also the orangutans,

use less calories to swing than to walk.

The point is that these orangutans live on a knife edge

when it comes to getting enough food.

So when the trees are gone they use more calories

and then they starve to death.

Alternative pregnancy test

Until the 50s the African clawed frog was used as a pregnancy test.

Why?

You inject urine from a pregnant woman in a female claw frog

and the hormones in the urine will make the frog lay eggs.

So you could know you were pregnant if the frog with your urine started laying eggs.

- And that's a point to you guys. Yes. - No!

Magnetic gecko

The gecko can climb on completely smooth surfaces

as you can see, like this glass wall.

This is a completely normal glass wall.

The question is, how does the gecko do it?

The gecko has millions of tiny hairs on its toes

which is rubbed against the glass surface and makes static electricity

which enables the feet to stick to smooth surfaces.

Just like a balloon when its rubbed against hair.

And that's correct..

Hanging hump

Let's continue to talk about camels.

Because you have maybe seen pictures where the hump is handing down instead of being straight.

The question is, why does the hump hang like that?

So here comes the answer.

Camels can carry up to almost 40kg (88 pounds) fat inside the humps

which makes them able to walk for days without eating.

But when the fat storage gets smaller, the humps shrink and fall to the side.

If they get more food, they raise up again.

Stick trap

The American alligator lives in the swamps in the southern states of USA

And the question is, take a look at this picture

Why is it laying sticks on the alligator?

The alligator does this to catch birds.

Especially this snowy egret who while brooding collects sticks.

And when the snowy egret sees these nice sticks, it can go right in the trap.

- Oh no.. - Nooo...

Once I was in Africa I saw a crocodile.

He was lurking in the water with a coke and bag of chips on its head

Didn't fool me.
