Hey YouTube, Jim here!

Welcome to Top10Archive!

Do you fear death?

No matter what religion you practice and what belief system you base your life upon, chances

are there's a version of death looking down upon you day after day.

The Grim Reaper is the iconic representation of death, but there have been many, many iterations

of the personification of death.

We've read through ancient texts, looking to introduce you to ten different versions

of the pale rider.

Before we meet the reaper, leave your legacy in the form of a subscription to Top10Archive!

If you survive your encounter with the Grim Reaper, be sure to give this video a like

and comment with at least one verse from Blue Oyster Cult's "Don't Fear the Reaper."

... what?

I just really like that song.

10.

Hel In Norse mythology, Hel was the goddess that

presided over the underworld of the same name.

This goddess of the dead was the daughter of Loki and the giantess Angrboda, so don't

take everything you learned from Thor: Ragnarok to heart.

She was the sister of Fenrir and Jormungand, two vital aspects of the Nordic end of the

world.

She's greedy and unloving and though she's well-known beyond Norse mythology, the bulk

of what's known of her comes from The Death of Baldur, where the god Baldur was slain

by Loki.

9.

Veliona Said to be the goddess of Earth, water, and

the subterranean regions, Veliona also ruled over the spirits of the dead, or the Veles.

Pulled from ancient Baltic mythology, Veliona lives within the Earth, holding dominion not

only over the land of the dead, but also the fertility of land, people, and animals.

As a guardian of the deceased, when a warrior falls during battle, their soul is personally

welcomed into the subterranean realm.

8.

Yama To followers of Hinduism, Yama is known as

the god of the dead.

He earned this title after becoming the first man who died, creating the concept of mortality.

Guardian of the south, or the region of death, and overseer of the dead's resting place,

Yama was thought to be cheerful.

Uncharacteristic for a death god, he was simply a judge that weighs the good and evil deeds

of the dead to determine their path after passing.

He wasn't filled with rage, hate, or contempt and didn't bring death to people.

Buddhists in Tibet, Japan, and China may also believe in Yama.

7.

Mot In the Hebrew scriptures, the word for death

is "mot," which is also the name of the West Semitic god of death.

Also the god of infertility and drought, Mot is not one to bring happiness and joy to his

people.

Son of El and antagonist to the rain god, Baal, Mot ruled over the underworld but may

have best been known for his long-standing feud with Baal.

In the land of Canaan, a dry and arid part of the world, it was believed Mot and Baal

were forever entangled in battle where the two continuously slay one another, only to

be restored to continue their quarrel.

6.

Santa Muerte Even if you're not proficient in Spanish,

chances are you may have already recognized this goddesses name to mean "Holy Death" or

"Saint Death."

Despite the saintly name, she's not a force that the people of Mexico, and parts of Central

America tend to worship.

In fact, the Vatican is so against her existence that an official condemned any devotion to

her, claiming it to be the same as celebrating hell and tragedy.

Surprisingly, her popularity didn't tip until around 2001, but when it did, she became a

poster-child for gangs, drug lords, and the dregs of society as a holy force to pray to

when calling to God seemed inappropriate.

5.

Shinigami Try not to confuse these overseers of the

damned with the popular video game Shin Megami.

Shinigami are the equivalent of Western society's angels of death, though their method is far

less forceful than the traditional belief that death steals life.

The Shinigami, or "death god," invite mortals to their death, providing them a decision.

The introduction of the concept of Shinigami came after Japan came into contact with the

West and was likely inspired by the concept of the Grim Reaper.

The Shinigami are thought to only appear when it's a person's time to die, though they still

approach the situation politely and simply invite the individual to let go.

4.

Ankou If you've ever played RuneScape, chances are

you may recognize the name Ankou, but you certainly don't know the mythological being

in this way.

In Breton folklore, Ankou is a personification of death, a "henchman of Death," as written

by 19th-century writer Anatole Le Braz.

Much like the classical representation of the Grim Reaper, Ankou is often depicted as

a skeleton donning a cloak and wielding a scythe.

Other iterations claim him to be human in appearance or look like a shadow.

Some versions state he was the first child of Adam and Eve while others say he was the

first dead human.

His eternal task is to collect souls of the dead before he can cross over into the afterlife.

3.

Thanatos Greek mythology is one of the more fascinating

and widely explored ancient texts.

Within those historic folklores were tales of Thanatos, the god of non-violent death.

Unlike some depictions of the reaper, Thanatos was thought to be gentle in nature while his

sisters, the Keres, oversaw violent death and slaughter.

Winged and bearded, Thanatos' most popular depiction is in the Iliad, carrying the body

of Sarpedon with his brother, Hypnos.

In Roman sculptures, he was depicted as a young man with a down-turned torch and a butterfly

to symbolize the soul.

2.

Anubis People tend to love Ancient Egypt and Anubis

is arguably one of the more easily-recognized gods.

With the head of a Jackal, Anubis was thought to oversee the mummification process and was

present during the embalming of Osiris after his murder.

Anubis resides in the underworld, serving as the guide for souls of the deceased.

Overseeing the Duat, or the realm of the dead, Anubis weighed the hearts of the dead against

a feather.

Should the heart be the heaviest of the two, it would be devoured by Ammit and the soul

denied entry into Aaru, or a heavenly paradise.

1.

Grim Reaper As the Black Death ravaged Europe during the

14th century, those that lived through the spread of the plague found a way to personify

the death that was taking so many loved ones and fellow countrymen.

The Grim Reaper sports a pitch black cloak, which is believed to represent the funeral

clothes worn by religious figures, and a deadly scythe, which represents the "harvesting"

of dead souls.

The Grim Reaper has become the universal symbol of death, popularized through years of use

in media and texts.

That's our list!

What other versions of death do you know about?

How Do I Know When I Can Use An ASL Interpreter? (ASL) | Get To The Poynt #4 - Duration: 3:27.

[music]

Hello! Welcome to...

I don't know how to sign this series name.

Someone help me with a sign name, please.

Anyway, we'll just spell it. "Get To The Poynt!"

Yeah, we need a sign name for this.

Anyway, you ask me a question and I try to answer it as quickly as possible.

So I'll just show you the question here.

So I have a video related to this which I'll post a link to over here.

If you haven't watched it, go do so.

A long time ago, I only used captions

Growing up mainstreamed with English and voice meant

I was only using captions when I needed access.

I was using captions at YouTube events.

Now, I'm using both.

What I use depends on what I'm doing.

Most of the time, I use interpreters for face-to-face conversation.

If I'm on a panel, I use captions.

Anyway, this isn't the point.

The point is how do you know when you're able to use an interpreter?

That's your decision.

Personally, I don't care if someone thinks that I don't need an interpreter.

I know what kind of accessibility I need.

When I could have conversations, I knew I could use them.

I don't always understand everything, but if I need help, I just ask.

Don't worry about what others might think.

If you feel comfortable in knowing that you know enough ASL, get them.

Your accessibility is your decision.

It's your choice.

In regardless to English and ASL ratio, don't even care about that.

It's whatever.

You will know what you need.

Are you comfortable with ASL?

It's your decision if you want to use them.

If you're comfortable with ASL, use interpreters.

If not, then just use captions.

Again, it's your decision.

Hopefully, that helps you some.

If you have any questions for advice on deafness, disability, mental health,

then use this hashtag [only] on Twitter.

Twitter is the only place I use this hashtag on.

I'll see you later. Bye.

YouTube marketing and search engine optimization SEO - Klaus Forster - Duration: 2:31.

One topic in marketing is YouTube.

You definitely have heard search engine optimization,

and that this is a book with seven seals is also clear.

And that everyone has heard something about search engine optimization

And many really understand something about it is also clear.

That's why the competition is of course extremely tough in search engine optimization.

So a quick and good placement to get in the Google search results is not that easy.

Youtube is the second largest search engine in the world. Most people do not know that.

And here's a gap in the market that you can use

because with YouTube videos, it is relatively simple,

with the same Search engine optimization methods

to achive a good search results.

And the funny thing is, the results of good videos are also shown in the Google results.

Because most people rather watch a video than read,

You do not need to be in first place with the video.

But also somewhere in between on the first page.

And your video gets clicked more often than, a webpage which made it

with the normal search engine optimization onto to first place.

And what you need for that, of course, is good videos.

And above all, that these videos are well placed

And the content you need for these videos

That's where we'll work in marketing and then it's time to practice, practice, practice.

Speakin in front of the camera and upload and experiment.

And to get a good placement

and that's what we learn at Business Retreat. www.vitality4happiness.de

STAND OUT WITH YOUR INSTAGRAM POSTS - Duration: 3:45.

HEY what's going on guys today I want to be teaching you guys how I get my

Instagram feed like this, because I do a style that I kind of got from looking at

a bunch of other profiles and kind of having like a bulletin board for my

photos. So let's jump in a Photoshop and I'll teach you guys right now. Alright so

now that we are inside a Photoshop this is what the post ultimately turned out

this-- right here is what the post turned out to be, and I have all these

images already saved onto my phone so I can upload them onto Instagram. Since it

is already on my cellular device all I have to worry about is getting all the

hashtags and getting the comments in and replying a comment and looking at those

likes roll in. But before all that fun stuff we have to get into Photoshop.

Photoshop is how I compile all these images over here because of kind of the

layout that I wanted to go to I'll show you guys again just like an earlier the

preview it's kind of like a bulletin board kind of style with a different

blurry glossy kind of looking background in the back of each of each of the

collections, And so I have these separated five- photos separated

into six boxes because of that one text layer or that text- post and I've

arranged these to kind of look different in every single part of these

collections so none of these collections actually have exactly the same five

images layout. First group is the original one where I literally just lay

everything out. Then I duplicate that group hide this one and I add a text

layer, and then I finished this one I duplicate it and I merge everything into

one base layer where I can easily get these 1080 by 1080 squares select them

drag and drop the image from the merged layer and bring that into this

Photoshop document that's a 1080 by 1080 and have that merged layer

separated into those columns. So we can see here I have every single post

starting from the sixth, the fifth, the fourth, the third, and the second, and the

first post. They are all separated and how I do this is (ctrl+alt+S) to save

it and I have it wherever I had to save it depending on where it is so for here

I have my photography > IG posts > and it's the "Rainy City". So I have it in here. I

name it what this is so this the first one so we're gonna

name it one and then you can see I already have it saved we go to photoshop

and we change it to jpg, and we have all six photos from the collection all six

posts from this collection actually and we just save it and we have it all in

there. That's saved onto my NAS and I can easily just download it on to my

phone and sit and post it with my caption and that's on live on the

interweb all right so I hope you guys enjoyed this little tutorial of the back

DIY and side of my photography from my Instagram page at the moment with these

kind of like bulletin board style posts hope you guys enjoyed hope you guys

learned something hope you guys have a great rest of your day

alright bye. :)

Why Introverts Have Difficulties Organizing Thoughts Into Words? - Duration: 4:08.

Why Introverts Have Difficulties Organizing Thoughts Into Words?

People are always in search of the meaning of life.

That also includes some ways to understand other people especially those who struggle

to speak up, the introverts.

The introverts do not talk too much because of some reasons.

When speaking out loud in the public, introverts often have some troubles finding the word

they really want to say.

In result, they may come off sounding like they don't know what they're talking about,

or it seems like they're talking nonsense, even though they actually do understand.

Moreover, some introverts may have trouble keeping up with fast-talking extroverts in

social situations.

In the end, it comes to social labeling that introverts are shy, or even incapable compared

to extroverts.

Well, if that's what you think, than you should consider this.

According to Dr. Marti Olsen Laney in her book, The Introvert Advantage: Making the

Most of Your Inner Strengths.

Information needs to flow between the separate areas, and as introverts, they process information

deeply, which means it flows slowly.

Here are 3 main reasons why introverts struggle to put their thoughts into words.

Please subscribe, click the bell and watch this video until the end to know the complete

information.

#1 - Word retrieval.

This is the problem that many people experience when they speak up in front of public.

They are unable to mention the words that they are supposed to say.

Unfortunately, introverts experience this kind of issue in various settings, including

normal day-to-day basis.

people stare at introverts when they are picking the words, and it makes matter even worse.

The real cause of this, as science explains, is due to the fact that introverts process

deeply the words and the situation they are in.

#2 - Long term memory.

Introverts struggle to speak up because their long-term memory is outside of conscious awareness.

This makes introverts difficult to regain the information in a quick manner.

Reaching long-term memory is not easy, though it is full of information, and it makes introverts

lose pace with others who say things quickly.

#3 - Writing is preferable.

Instead of speaking up, writing is always a good alternative to keep ideas shared to

others.

If you are wondering why, it is due to the wiring in introverts' brain uses smoother

pathway for processing word formation through writing.

Moreover, writing usually does not involve other people on set.

This keeps introverts to focus on what they have at hands, for example, assignment to

write on something.

Well, Those are all the three reasons why introverts struggle to put their thoughts

into words.

It is absolutely challenging for some people.

However, that should not be the reason for you to not be active in a community or society.

Introverts are capable in doing writing job, and that writing also can be read aloud.

So, really cool information isn't it?

I hope you enjoy this short video, if you have something on your mind, please share

your thoughts and experiences in the comments below!

WHY DARLING IN THE FRANXX ISN'T A GOOD ANIME - Duration: 16:39.

But if we marched to death we will lose everything

everything will go

I don't want that to happen ever

I can't understand this series

so lets do a vídeo

The truth is that Darling in the franxx is an anime that had all the elements to be a very good product

for example, at the level of symbolism we could even analyze how they work the colors in this anime

On the one hand, it uses the color gray in the official costume, a muted color a color without life

showing that zeal of individualism and emotional disconnection of society..

On the other hand the franxx are colorful and youthful appearan ce

showing how the connection between life and human hosts is the initial purpose of existence of the protagonists

in this way, referring to the topic of relationships that develops the series.

For example the red suit of zorotwo, on the one hand, tells us that it is dangerous,

that she is rebellious and theme to use another color already tells you that is different.

As I said, this is an anime that presents good ideas. However

the series wasted plenty of other positive aspects, which are causing him to lose

relevance to this type of things. Before you continue with the video I ask that you saw the video as

long as possible to understand why I say this series wasted almost

everything that exposes. myself a few months ago I made a video

praising this anime, but my opinion is far from that.

Darling in the franxx divides its history into two blocks.

The first part consists of 15 chapters and the second composed of 9

Each of the seasons focuses on treating a subject above all

the first explores the emotions of the characters and

the second develops the theme of the war and everything that was behind this

However the series fails in its two frames

especially in its second block

lets start talking about what is laid down in the first 15 episodes.

in the first 15 episodes, the only thing thats important its hiro and zero two

the first 6/7 episodes of the series are dedicated to these characters

The series sets the hedgehog's dilemma between these two characters

they need each other, but when they are together they do harm himself

And this is something very interesting, because on the one hand, Hiro has been raised as a mere tool

his only purpose in life is to actuate as a franxx and part also dragged

some id entity problem along with their longing for freedom

On the other side of the coin zero two you want to be able to drive a franxx , cause he believes

that this is the only way to become human. So the that both characters create a dynamic is an interesting idea…

but there is a problem in this relationship.

The series solves all the problems of this couple in a predictable, repetitive and hurried way.

Everything is solved by the power of love and some poetic discourse of Hiro to zerotwo

or just by magic, as in chapter 6 in which hiro has an infection in the heart, but everything is fixed

because magic too.. as i say, this is usually done in less than two chapters.

The series creates false tension, so at the end of the same episode or the next all settled in the most predictable way

So when the series is trying to separate the characters or create problems between them, you already know how to end it all.

With some poetic speech and that's it. It will be as if nothing had happened.

One of the most important moments of the series, when zerotwo enters the super srtelitzia

to connect with Hiro could have been something epic…

but the series uses the power of love to fix it…

There is no difference with previous situations. How might be the episode 15 for example.

And the other characters are not better, with the exception of Goro, zorome and ikuno

the lesbian girl, and I say the lesbian girl, because the series just strives to remember his name.

Assume that the series spends so much time to zerotwo and Hiro that every time focuses on another character

makes it hastily and just give it a chapter and hopefully two, in spite of the fact that then will try to make

you feel something for them, which is complicated because its development occurs in a hurried manner.

An example is Mitsuru, who reveals to us that his hatred toward hiro is

cause when he and Hiro were small they promised to fly together at the same franxx

which is something quite sentimental

because the sole function of these children is to drive a franxx

in some way is like mitsuru was giving his life to hiro

but hiro broke the promise

The series is presenting us with something that is much more painful than it seems

But in the next chapter Mitsuru solve the problem with himself

not the cause he has lived a critical situation or something similar, such as goro in chapter 9

the change occurs because kokoro reminds you that humans make mistakes

what a reflective and profound series

That's how easy they solve the problem of a character. that he has for years

The series was establishing a problem that does not focus on being in love

the series explored the feeling of rancor, the feeling of betrayal and abandonment.

But as I say, the serie doesn't take advantage.

I need to mention that their relationship is even worse

Mitsuru and kokoro are two characters with a completely non-existent chemistry

Mitsuru falls in love with kokoro for no reason , because it is he who convinces him to forgive Hiro

and that's enough to fall in love

On the other hand kokoro love mitsuru because... Well Because the script needs it.

And the same occur when they erase them the memories to prevent his ideas of wedding

both characters begin to recover his memories of a hasty form just like as i say

from one episode to the next

Again the series creates false tension to dissipate the problem of hasty form

Why you have to worry about the characters, if always They resolve his problem of hasty way

Another example is the fat boy in the episode 17

In which we discover that has bulimia

The series tries to be profound in all the while

but it solves this problem in the same episode

simply because zorome starts crying. And this is serious?

How easy is it to solve the eating disorder?

It is a series that tries to be profound. but he only laughs at the problems of the people

Ikuno presents a dilemma that is a thousand times more interesting than the relationship previously mentioned.

Ikuno is a lesbian girl in a world repressive and closed

where the only thing that works to fly a franxx is the union of a man and a woman

his only reason to live it's that union

The series takes place in a world in which sexual and affective relationships are no longer necessary

The series could explore all that topic, but it does not, it deals with it during 4 minutes and nothing else

because it is not a problem of hiro or zero two. nobody cares.

And it's a shame, because with the environment presented by the series, this would be a good idea to unravel this theme

it's bored that all the problems of the characters are being in love.

when the chemistry between characters does not exist

something similar happens with hiro and zer two

You really do not see much love between them. only dependence to fly the franxx

the series excuses their relationship, just because they already

they already knew each other when they were children

his relationship is based only on poetic and children's speeches, nothing more.

At the same time that ikuno's sexual orientation conflict is ignored

the subject of the desire to mature of zorome is also ignored. Chapter 10 is completely dedicated to the

to treat that topic to show you what it is like to be an adult in that society

And I have to say that the chapter is simply one of the best in the series.

is here when you ask yourself why the series is wasting its first episodes showing fan service

and focusing on hiro and zerotwo all the fucking time

when they could develop this kind of stories more slowly.

the only thing they would do is connect better with the audience and enrich the narrative of the series.

And yes, the first chapters show fan service unnecessarily.

I understand that the series wants to let us see the subject of the connection man woman ...

However, to show it explicitly is to insult the people who see you in the face.

you assume that people could not understand the idea of connection, if you do not teach asses and tits in their face

it's just an excuse, to show tits to the impressionable viewer

Have not you noticed that I have never mentioned the subject of war?

This is because it is not explored in almost any time in the first 15 episodes

the battles are summarized in that klaxosaurs appear, the boys and girls fight and end.

and the same scheme is repeated in the next chapter.

when hiro asks something about the outside or about his world he does not receive answers

nobody can believe that hiro is the only person with doubts

On the other the issue of never receiving answers is a somewhat vague way of creating tension.

And this does not help much, because in the second part of the series we exposes all information at once without leaving time to breathe.

For example, chapter 20 is the best example of a story

that could have worked very well in a 3 episode mini-arc

but everything is condensed in one ... because the series

because the series has wasted time establishing anticlimactic relationships for more than 15 chapters.

The caretakers of the house are another example, it is revealed to us that both were also pilots

of franxx. to which their feelings were erased

and we see how over time they are recovering

So the girl is imprisoned, it is forbidden to show emotions

On the other hand, the series left us understand that pilots do not usually become adults

Therefore, these two characters could offer a lot of games, present interesting views of how their world works.

but we hardly know their names.

Even though it would have been something pretty good to intersperse between some previous chapters

in this way you can create attractive subplots and show more things apart from teenage love.

The series tries to be profound when in reality it is not.

The scenes in which the screen closes and we are shown a plane closer to the characters, I think they are great

The series is screaming for you to pay attention to that moment, that someone is showing their most hidden emotions

again the series establishes problems, philosophical and psychological, that are solved by the power of love.

look. many people compare Darling in the franxx with neon genesis evangelion ... However

However neon genesis evangelion had something that separates it light years from Darling in the franxx

Neon genesis evangelion has the enough attitude to show you a problem and not to walk around with nonsense

like solving everything with poetic speeches

When in evangelion, we are exposed to a lot of information at once, you know that if you look back you will see how the series did not act to hide

information in a vague way like in Darling in the franxx.

The series is gradually introducing its characters, without these being a clone of the genre Shonen.

like zorome, for example.

So when the series wants to dedicate a couple of episodes for somebody , as a spectator you can feel some empathy for him or for her.

you can see that everyone has their own problems and that they are not reduced to being in love despite having no real reasons for it.

The best example of what I am trying to say would be the caregivers of the house in Darling in the franxx.

Or the same doctor franxx, the series wants to develop them in less than 3 chapters, despite having more than 15 for that purpose.

speaking about characters that could have given more of themselves, let's talk about the klaxosaur princess

... there is a scene in episode 23 that really hurts me and not because it's good, just the opposite.

is established that all this war began 60 million years ago and that the princess has waited all this time, observing humanity.Until now.

But again, its enough with a poetic speech of hiro and see the power of love between zerotwo and hiro and the princess change her mentality and decide to help them.

We are talking about a being with 60 million years that changes its way of seeing humans just for a romantic moment.

i cant belive a character, if her mentality changes for pathetic reasons. when she is in a fucking galaxy war and she is trying to revenge her people.

Its like when your protagonist of an anime of fights manages to overcome an enemy with more decades of experience and work than him, in spite of your protagonist began to fight barely a year ago.

The princess and virm play an irrelevant role, when they should be the main course.

On the one hand the series devoted so many chapters to present the klaxosaurs as bugs that attack every day for no reason

when it is revealed to us that there is a queen we can not care less. The series for that moment has already achieved that you do not feel any fear of the klaxosaurs,

you donot really see them as something dangerous. cause every time they managed to harm the protagonists, this happened because of mistakes made by them and not by the Klaus.

On the other hand virm comes to be the same, we are introduced in a few chapters and hardly addresses the issue of leaving the body.

when the series was playing every time to be "profound". but now, they dont work about this philosophical issue . they just leave the information.

And the organization of APE is not better , their ideas and history are good ...

but the series presents them to you as if they were any crazy doctor of comic that turns out to be bad for no reason, and has x objective also for no reason

Anyway, I'm going to leave the video here because I think I've already explained everything that i think about darling in the franxx

Sorry for this pathethic translate. see you
