Ronith Dunn: I went to school
and got my bachelor's
in criminal justice.
And I thought I was gonna
be an FBI agent.
So I kind of had to re-evaluate
that.
I was diagnosed when I was 22.
And theres all these thoughts
going through my head.
And being so young and out
of college with all these hopes
and dreams and what should I do?
And then theyre telling you
you have to limit everything.
And Im like, oh my God.
My worst fear, from what I knew
about M.S. was that I thought
I would be in a wheelchair
at the age of 40.
Because its really what I knew
about the disease and I was very
scared --
very, very scared.
So I went on medicine right
away.
I really took the strength
within myself to say,
you know what?
Im going to do what Im going
to do.
And I just kind of went on
with my life.
When I got married
and it was about time for me
to have kids, my doctor said,
Well, are you sure?
Because after you have children,
you could have a pretty big
attack.
And I said, Ill risk it.
I have two daughters, two
wonderful daughters.
My oldest daughter is Maddy
and shes 18.
My youngest is 13.
She is graduating
from eighth grade
and going into high school.
One day Im sitting in my office
and I snapped.
I was like,
I've got to get a hold
of myself.
Ive got young kids.
I've got to get my act together,
I've got to get my job together,
I've got to work,
I've got to make money.
I started my own company.
No more pitying.
Ive found that I need every day
to do the same thing.
So my job, my career
is perfect for me.
I wake up in the morning,
I, have my juice,
I feed my kids, I drop them off
at school, I go to my office,
I work for 6 hours.
They come home,
I make them dinner, I take them
to sports.
So I know that I have to have
this routine in order to live
the lifestyle that Im living.
Exercise for me is not
about looking fit,
it's a necessity.
Its sort of like taking
medicine.
I need to exercise every day.
And if I dont exercise,
I dont feel so great.
I have weakness in my legs
and my mind is not good,
Im more depressed.
I know that I also need alone
time.
And I tell my children that,
too, and they know that.
I work from home, so my life
is in this house.
So I have to get outside
of this house and have fun.
The hardest part of having MS
for me has been to learn
my limitations.
As Ive gotten older,
I realize there are things
I can and cant do.
And figure out what I can
do well and focus on what I can
do well and not what I cant do.
Its not until now that Im
46 that Im starting to have
symptoms that are causing me
to slow down a little bit.
There are definitely times where
I say, "Why me?
Why did this happen to me?"
But I focus on the positive.
Ive got a wonderful family,
things are very good.

It is the most powerful smartphone on the market.

Another feature of OnePlus 5 is its camera.
OnePlus 5 has a dual camera on the rear panel.
One of the cameras uses 16 megapixel sensor Sony IMX 398 and f/1.7 aperture.
It perfectly takes portrait and macro photos.
The second camera on the back panel is designed
for shooting distant subjects.
It uses more simple 20 megapixel sensor Sony IMX350 and f/2.6 aperture.
On the front panel is 16-megapixel camera,
with sensor Sony IMX 371 and aperture f/2.0.
The camera application offers many different
settings and modes.
For example, Pro mode allows you to adjust some image settings.
Also, you can use slow-motion mode and portrait mode.
By the way, OnePlus 5 has auto HDR mode
so the dynamic range adjustment is usually good.
As we have already said, the second sensor on the rear panel uses for optical zoom.
Of course, this is much better, than digital zoom.
However, you might have heard about
scandal, that in fact camera uses a combination of optical and digital zoom.
Maybe it is the reason why some photos with zoom get a little grainy.
Daytime photos look amazing. They are sharp, detailed and saturated with flowers.
Night photos also good. Of course, they are not so quility, as in daytime, but you are
unlikely to find higher-quality night photos on smarthone for $500.
16-megapixel front camera also makes amazing daytime photos.
At night, the quality is much lower.
In addition, the front camera does not have a flash.
The main camera OnePlus 5 can record 4K video.
It is qualitative, and well detailed.
However, you should not record 4K video in motion.
It is trembling, because of the lack of OIS
1080p video has a lower detail, but it is

How Pictures of Eyes Change the Way You Act - Duration: 5:58.
Take a look at the wall that's closest to you.
Probably you don't normally pay much attention to it.
Now imagine that there was a picture of a pair of eyes staring out at you from the wall.
Maybe you'd be a little creeped out.
Maybe you'd half-expect the eyeballs to blink at you
and move back and forth like in a creepy movie for kids.
But I'm guessing you would not look at the eyes and think,
"oh, I should be more honest now.
Or more generous."
And yet, that is what research suggests that people do, even though they might not realize it.

It makes sense that people would act differently when there are other people watching.
You have more motivation to go looking for a recycling bin for your empty water bottle
if there's someone staring at you the whole time, silently and also kinda creepily judging you.
But it turns out we might also act differently when it's just a picture of eyes watching us.
It's called the watching eyes effect.
One way researchers study this effect is by having people play special economic games,
like the Dictator Game.
Which, weirdly enough, does not involve ruling North Korea.
In the game, one person gets to decide — or dictate — how much money
to keep for themselves and how much to give a partner, who's usually anonymous.
In 2005, researchers from UCLA had 248 people play the game,
some with a drawing of eyes as the computer screen background, and others with a different image.
People who saw the eyes tended to be more generous and give more money to their partner.
The effect has been replicated in everyday settings too,
where pictures of eyes resulted in things like fewer bike thefts
and more people paying for drinks on an honor system.
Psychologists think the watching eyes effect is like the baby version
of what happens when there are actual people watching:
we tend to be more prosocial—meaning we voluntarily do things
that benefit society as a whole, like being more generous.
That probably has to do with building a good reputation.
In our normal lives, we need to cooperate with others.
And when you have a good reputation, people are more likely to cooperate and help you,
which could mean the difference between surviving and thriving, or … not doing those things.
It's just part of being human.
People are hardwired to react to faces,
and we learn a lot of important information from seeing people's eyes,
like what someone else is thinking about us.
So it's possible that eyes, even just pictures of them,
activate something within us that makes us try to promote a good reputation, even if
no one will actually even see it.
Now, there are two main ways this could work:
It's possible that eyes give people a positive motivation to be prosocial
and gain a good reputation or future reward.
Basically, if you help someone now, they'll be more likely to help you later.
Or, eyes might give people a negative motivation to avoid violating some social norm—
society's rules on how to behave— which would hurt their reputation.
For example, if you lie to people, they probably won't trust you in the future,
and will be less likely to help you.
Some studies have tried to figure out whether there's a positive or negative motivation
behind the watching eyes effect by pitting being prosocial against following a norm.
One study from Japan from 2015 had 188 undergraduates privately roll a die
and then report what number they got.
Those numbers turned into donations for a charity.
If being prosocial was the bigger motivation, people would lie about the roll
to earn more money for the charity.
But if avoiding violating a norm—
being honest—was the bigger motivation, they should tell the truth,
even though no one could tell if they lied or not.
The researchers put either a drawing of eyes or a different drawing
onto a computer screen that the subjects could see.
When there wasn't a picture of eyes, they over-reported some numbers,
giving more money to charity than you'd expect based on the odds of rolling dice.
But with the drawing of eyes, the numbers they reported were what you'd expect based
on probability.
In other words, the eyes encouraged honesty and not violating a norm,
rather than just being prosocial in general.
But other studies have found that there's more nuance in the way watching eyes make
people follow norms.
Researchers set up different kinds of norms, where they made it seem like littering was
or wasn't normal,
or told subjects that people typically donated different amounts of money.
If the biggest motivation behind the watching eyes effect was following a norm to protect
your reputation,
you'd expect people to follow those norms even if they weren't prosocial—
meaning, even if the norm was to litter or not donate very much money.
The studies found that the norms were important, but not in a straightforward way.
Pictures of eyes still affected people's behavior, but they didn't always follow
what the norm suggested—
they tended to do whatever best enhanced their reputation.
So do eyes make us more prosocial, or do they make us want to avoid violating norms?
It seems to depend on what you ask people to do, which makes sense:
some norms are more powerful than others, and they affect your reputation in different ways.
The stronger motivation depends on the situation.
And there are probably other moderating factors, too.
Studies on the watching eyes effect often find that the effect is small,
and others don't find an effect at all, which suggests that
there are other things going on that influence whether there's an effect and how strong it is.
Cultural differences, the task that's being performed,
the personalities of the people involved—they all matter.
Some people, for example, are probably more vulnerable
to the watching eyes effect because they pay more attention to social cues, like eyes.
In other words, like so many other aspects of human behavior, it's complicated.
There are still lots of unanswered questions, but researchers are working on it.
In the meantime, if you see a picture of eyes on a wall or poster,
just know that it's probably affecting the way that you and other people around you act—
and also probably in a good way.
Unless the eyes start blinking at you.
In which case—run. Just get outta there.

CS:GO - GAME BREAKING BUG: REMOVE BACKGROUND NOISE - Duration: 2:42.
Hey guys, salut mes amis och hallå gubbar, Maxim here.
The latest bug that I showed you was the crouch-jump bug, and now I actually have another game-breaking
bug to show you guys.
If you've played 1.6 the first big difference you'll notice is how there's no background
noise, it's kinda relaxing actually.
So this guy contacted me to explain that it's actually possible to remove the background
noise in all competitive maps.
I'll show you the the difference with and without background noise.
The background noises are known as soundscapes.
The soundscapes are played through just regular text files inside the scripts folder of CS:GO.
So basically this guy has discovered that, if you remove the content inside these text
documents, except for this one, you will block all the sound files.
This is considered a bug, because most servers use sv_pure 1 and it will still work.
When sv_pure is on, it checks to see if all the files match the files of the server.
If you go offline against bots you will see that the console is printing out that it's
a bug.
If you go online, you can still play without hearing any background noise on the map.
Now your main concern is probably, is it safe to change these files?
So I asked the guy who found the bug, and he's basically saying that you can
change text files, image files and stuff like that as long as you're not touching any dll
or executable files.
He also explains that "Simple Radar" which customizes the radar image of all competitive
maps, works the same way.
He also said that he's been using it on ESEA, and that's also where he found a very old
thread on removing background noise.
It's quite amazing that it actually works today, and since this is seen as a bug, there's
a possibility that they will patch it very soon, considering how game-breaking this is, literally.
