5 Secret Beaches Hidden Around The World - Duration: 4:49.

5 World`s Best Secret Beaches

1.

Honopu Beach, Hawai Mysterious and hardly accessible Honopu Beach

is located on the Kauai's Na Pali Coast.

The only way to get to the beach is by swimming.

In fact there are two magnificent beaches, surrounded by dangerous sea cliffs, some f

which reach up to 365 meters.

The remoteness of the area has inspired many legends and rumors about missing tribes and

noble Chiefs.

Two beaches are divided by an arc called Honopu, there is a high stunning waterfall that runs

through a sea cliff into the Ocean.

It is a true adventure to get to the Honopu beach not many people would agree to take

part in.

Not only you must be a great swimmer but there can also be strong, at times deadly rip currents

even when the Ocean seems calm.

2.

Furore Fjord, Italy The Furore Ford somewhat resembles a scar

in the rock.

Back in the days it served as a hideout for local pirates.

It is a gulf where the sea shows all it`s greatness and might.

The Fjord of Furore is a natural harbor that can only be entered through the sea line.

It is surrounded by the cliffs and the organic arch looks absolutely stunning and adds a

great deal of beauty to the entire view.

It's hard to believe but people live there.

Fishermen for the most part.

They are known as "monazzeri", which is translated as "hermit" or something similar

to hermit.

Quite a few people live on those cliffs till this day.

Due to its unique ecosystem the Fjord is inhabited by many rare animals, mostly birds.

Like the pilgrim hawk and a several other specimen.

There are many kinds of uncommon and oddly beautiful vegetation.

The island itself is a natural oasis much appreciated by those who decides to spend

some time in piece.

3.

Another one of the world`s most secluded beaches is located on the remote Marieta Islands of

Puerto Vallarta.

A few kilometers away from Bandera gulf Marieta Islands are a part of the archipelago formed

as a result of volcanic eruptions.

The beach is so secret that it cannot be seen from the sea and there is no way it can be

reached by and.

To get to it you must first swim through the underwater tunnel.

There is about six feet of space above water level.

The hidden beach is truly intriguing.

It s got crystal blue water, golden sand and there are loads of coral reef fish to see.

Locals call the beach Playa Del Amor, which means The beach of love in Spanish is a result

of bombings by the Mexican government that began in the beginning of 1900s.

In the 1960s, explorer and scientist Jacques Cousteau raised a protest against the harmful

activity on the islands and after a lot of hassle the islands were named a national park.

4.

Navagio Beach, Greece Also known as "Shipwreck Beach" it became

a sort of a mini ship graveyard back in 1983.

It is one of the most popular and most photographed pristine beaches.

The ship called "Panagiotis" is perhaps the main attraction on the land.

Legend has it that the "Panagiotis" was a smugglers ship, for which the beach also

became known as "Smugglers Cove".

The crash site became a popular destination for tourists interested in sight of the decaying

ship.

An observation platform was built right on top of the cliffs.

It opens a remarkable view on a beach that is only accessible by boat.

5.

Whitehaven Beach, Australia Whitehaven Beach is really and truly a remarkable

sight.

If there is a place on Earth you should definitely see it should be this "whitest" beach

on the planet.

The sand that covers the Whitehaven ground, is 98 percent silica.

What's most peculiar about it is that it`s powder-like consistency doesn't retain heat.

It s got crystal clear greenish blue water and is approximately seven kilometers long.

As the tide shifts the sand and water, it creates a truly beautiful view.

There are a few ways to get to Whitehaven.

It can be a boat ride or a helicopter or seaplane flight.

The quickest way to get to the beach would be by sea but the boat trips are mostly available

during the day.

So if you wish to stay overnight the only way will be to use your own boat.

And which one of these stunning beaches would you choose to visit?

Or do you know better places to go?

Marrakech Food - Vegetarian vs Meat Options - Duration: 10:42.

Hi and welcome to our first video about food in Morocco! So what we're doing

today is having lunch here, and then for dinner we're going to eat in the square,

which right now, as you can see, is actually pretty calm and relaxed, but at

dinnertime it goes crazy. It becomes full of people and smoke and stalls selling

food, so we're excited to show you the difference between this pretty calm

lunch up here and then a crazy dinner down there. We have been exploring the

square at night with all the little mobile restaurants that they have there.

Some of them even serve lamb's head. So I've been trying to get mentally

ready for that for the last few days and tonight I'm gonna go try to see if I can

try one of them. I don't know how that's gonna go, so stay tuned here to see if I

can do it. As you may know from our previous videos and blog posts, I am

mostly vegan or plant-based, while Gustavo is happy to eat meat at just

about every meal.

Every. Single. Meal.

Today for lunch I'm going to order a vegan

dish which is the vegetable tagine and Gustavo is going to order a meat dish as

usual which is the veal tagine. Both the vegetable tagine and the vegetable

couscous which are on the menu at just about every restaurant are called

vegetarian but are in fact vegan. For more information on eating vegan in

Morocco or at least in Marrakesh check out our previous blog post which we'll

link in the description below. We ordered a tagine specials which comes

with the tagine itself and also a soup as an appetizer -- a Moroccan soup -- and

mint tea, and it's only 15 dirham more than just the tagine dishes, which

is about a dollar fifty more. So, it's a good deal!

In a fairly thick broth, this soup

has chickpeas, lentils, bits of onion, maybe celery, herbs, and spices, and little

strands of what look like spaghetti noodles.

Mine is the veal with the veggies. So I can see some carrots here,

some olives, some pieces of potato here, and zucchini, and they always bury the

meat inside in the center.

Like Gustavo's the vegetarian tagines usually have

something buried in the center. Here you can see on top that there's preserved

lemon peel and then I'm digging away potatoes, squash, carrots, more potatoes,

and in this one, to my surprise, it looks like there's nothing hidden in

here. Usually this is where you'll find a chunk of pumpkin or something like that,

but here I just find more potatoes.

Apparently the proper way to eat a

tagine is by taking a piece of bread ripping a piece off and using that to

scoop up the food and then put it in your mouth.

This meat is so tender, it

just -- you don't even need to cut it, it just comes apart.

One of the things that

I love about the vegetable tagines and couscous dishes here is that you get

such a variety of amazing fresh vegetables all in one dish and unlike a

lot of places back home you don't have to make your vegan meal by ordering a

bunch of different side dishes of random vegetables you just get this amazing plate.

At these food stalls, they have vegetable tagines and also veggie skewers, but I've had both of those

before and so I wanted to try something new. What I'm doing tonight is having

several different vegan sides, as you can see here I have bread and sauce,

a Moroccan salad, french fries, and then I'm waiting for eggplants to come, also.

One of the things that you have to pay attention to at these food stalls is

that you're always getting upsold. So for example I ordered the eggplant

which is 5 dirhams on the menu here, and got this mixture of pepper, aubergine,

and galette, which is 15 dirham, so that's a difference of a dollar, but it adds up

when it's happening every day over and over. An option here would be to send

that back and point out that I only ordered the eggplant, in which case they

would bring it. But honestly I was curious to try the other two things too,

so I will take this one as a blessing in disguise. On other people's tables

we've seen this bright orange sauce that looked like harissa and that was what I

was hoping would come when we ordered the sauce and bread. This tastes more like

Mexican style salsa that I'm used to from home which is really really good

and I was surprised that this flavor combination is here. It wasn't what I was

expecting at all. On this combination plate I'm now trying these peppers for

the first time I have no idea how spicy they are so let's see how this goes.

Wow, that's not spicy at all. It's actually incredibly nice and sweet I love that!

This little cake is one of the things that came on the mixed plate that was sort of over-

delivered to us and looking at it, it looks like it's either fish or cheese

inside so I'm actually going to let Gustavo be the one to try this for you.

A bonus.

Yeah it's nice and doughy. I think it's potato. I don't think there's cheese here.

So I think Gretchen, you're clear to eat this.

As you can see, the eggplant has

really nice color on it and it's nice and crispy on the skin too, this is not

that horrible soggy gooey eggplant that you often end

up with so let's see how it tastes

I feel like that one could've used a little more seasoning but again it's not

gooey or slimy which are the biggest problems with eggplant so yeah it's pretty good!

This Moroccan salad looks like it's basically tomatoes onions and

some green herbs

Again, the flavors are reminiscent to me of Mexican food, or pico de gallo so

it's really interesting to find that flavor combination here where I didn't expect it.

I have no idea how to eat this...

I think this has meat somewhere...

There's not a lot of meat here. It's just pretty much bone and skin.

But I guess yeah this part here has a little bit more meat. There you go.

All right, so let's try the lamb's head.

It's not bad, if tastes just like other red meat.

I have no idea what else I can eat. I guess this here?

Another little bite.

It's good I think once you

get past the weirdness of eating a lamb's head, the taste is just normal.

If you didn't know what you were eating, it would be just like any other red meat.

We were looking for a place that served lamb's head and of course the guys here --

the barkers -- will do anything to get you to their stalls. So we got to this

place here and he said" "yeah we'll get you a lamb's head." But we don't think they

serve it here. We're pretty sure that he went to a different stall got it for us

and brought it here. So. They will really do anything to get you here.

So, when they brought the lamb's head, they also got us these spices here. I think it's salt and some other

kind of mix.

We made it back to our room at our riad after a very

interesting food experience. I don't think I'll try lamb's head anytime soon.

Which I am happy to hear because honestly it was not that appetizing to

have it sitting there on the table with its teeth showing. Yeah.

It was fine but there was almost no meat in it,

so it was just more for the experience.

The night market is really fun and really different so if you're going for the

experience then we definitely recommend it. Absolutely. As with most places here,

though, you get exactly what you pay for. The sides are a lot less expensive than

ordering the entrees at the market and I wasn't actually trying to save money, I

was just curious to try them, but honestly I would recommend going with

the entrees instead because they're a lot better than just combining a bunch

of the sides. So here's a question: would you try that lamb's head? Does that sound like

something that you would go for? Let us know in the comments below.

Thank you so much for joining us during our lunch and dinner here in Marrakech, Morocco.

Meet Southern Sports Artist Rick Rush | Southern Living - Duration: 2:46.

I'm Rick Rush in Tuscaloosa Alabama

and I am a sports artist.

The big idea behind what we do?

We capture this sporting life that we're living in America.

University of Wisconsin playing Ohio State,

whom they love to beat.

That's Nebraska beating Oklahoma who they also love to beat.

Chicago Bears when they won the Superbowl.

When Michael Jordan was a rookie

playing the Milwaukee Bucks.

My mother said that I started painting

when I was about five or six

and then I started playing ball later

and got involved with that and so becoming a sports artist

was kinda the natural culmination of that.

I call our printing technique

and my painting style Sporting Impressionism

because I wanted it to be representative enough

that you can get some of the details of it.

But I wanted it loose enough

that you can feel the action and the motion.

The printing style that we have chosen

to create these hand done prints

is a printing style called serigraph.

The serigraph process started in the Orient

and it hasn't changed any as far as the basics of it,

except back in that time

they had to hand cut stencils to print through,

and now we have light-sensitive emulsion

and things like that that aid making more

complex images and that sort of thing.

The common known word for it is silk screen

because in the Orient they actually

were printing through silk, that's where the term came from.

When Don and I first went into business,

we had a praying and planning time.

During that time one of the things

that we put down as one of the,

I wish I could find the prayer list from back then,

but one of the things it said

was we wanna impact the arts for good.

And so we launched out into this new thing,

and with that as a goal early on

that we would have a part in impacting the arts in America.

Hopefully we are suspending this lifestyle in time and space

that people can come back in five years

or 50 years or 500 years

and say, "That's what it was like to be

at the National Championship in 2016."

Or "That's what it was like to be at the Superbowl."

Or "That's what it was like to be at Wimbledon."

That's one of the things that we try to do

and try to do it as excellently as we can.

And hopefully we're gonna continue to get better.

So, yeah, I consider myself a Southern artist.

(upbeat music)

An Asteroid Didn't Kill the Dinosaurs, Here's a New Theory About What Did - Duration: 2:15.

A group of scientists is saying that the asteroid impact that killed off the dinosaurs might've

changed the world far more than we realized!

Some 66 million years ago, a 10-kilometer-wide asteroid hit the Yucatan Peninsula and the

global effects killed more than three-quarters of all species, including dinosaurs and many

ocean-dwelling life forms.

The immediate aftermath was earthquakes, tsunamis, and volcanic eruptions, as well as vaporized

rock launched high above the surface that heated as it fell back to Earth, sparking

fires.

And these fires are what changed the climate and decimated most living things!

According to this new model: Soot from the global wildfires was heated by the Sun and

lofted high into the atmosphere.

There, it created an impenetrable barrier around the globe.

Just picture it…

The planet is as dark as a moonlit night in the middle of the day, meaning little to no

photosynthesis.

Any plants not killed by wildfires are dead.

The the lynchpin of the ocean food chain -- phytoplankton -- is gone.

All the species that rely on these for food are dead.

The atmospheric soot causes global surface temperatures to drop by as much as 28 Celsius

over land and 11 over the oceans.

But the soot in the atmosphere keeps absorbing sunlight, heating the stratosphere, sucking

up water vapour, and destroying the ozone.

Eventually the atmosphere is cleared of soot, but only after a year of darkness, and then

the environment is decimated.

This is not a planet to call home.

Amazingly, this model shows it doesn't take a lot of soot for this kind of global devastation

to happen.

One simulation used just 5 billion tons of soot, about a third of what scientists think

was actually produced after the impact.

But this simulation isn't exact to how the world was 66 million years ago.

Still, it's a sobering thought.

While nuclear warfare or a smaller impact wouldn't have the same effects, either would

still put enough soot into the atmosphere to cool the surface and heat the upper atmosphere,

potentially changing the global climate enough to wipe out multiple species.

Speaking of wiping out species like dinosaurs, what colour were dinosaurs really?

We dug into it in this episode right here.

Let us know what other interesting science questions you'd like us to answer in the

comments, be sure to like this video, and subscribe for more Seeker.

ESSIS - Students Interviews - Einfose project - European Summer School on Information Science - 3/7 - Duration: 6:12.

[music]

Before you came here what was your expectations what would happen here?well...

yeah well. I I came from a bachelor degree in business and management

engineer. Well.. When I saw the tweet the opportunity to participate to this

program I thought that it would be way for me from because I was really

interested in informatics science and also I want to move to a field that

could cover this area also with alongside business. So I decided to come

here - I don't know. I didn't know if I can express my my opportunity - to know

for example, well what the information. What is the role of information on

business. So at the first I thought that this Summer School could.. ehh, could help me

to to give me this this background to help me for this to lower the gap

between my business informatics bachelor degree and the business

informatics in the master that will be our attend and in September. So you

really from the target group you wanted to look, what can I do from a business

perspective? sorry can you repeat? You came from the you say oh I have this bachelor degree

and now how can i what do I have to learn to come to the master degrees?

yeah I had class of for example informatics and also business process

management and were also had I had a background on especially on business and

our information or information could have business to improve an enterprise.

So I want to... I think that we mastered

with a master's degree in data science and business informatics at this master

degree could be really interesting and so this summer school could have passed

to could ask me to have a run insight on this team. From this specific background

in Business Studies yes I mean you had a lot of experience

and in some of Informatics stuff? yeah did you where you satisfy? did you

like the school? why did I like at the school? did you like it?

oh yeah I I really like this school. Because yeah as I said I I was really

interested in informatics. But I know I don't wanna

I didn't wanna apply it. It just I was I don't want to study informatics just for

science as a whole science. So I was I was looking for something more practical.

Something more that I could apply more to key industry field. So I when I was

looking for a bachelor degree I just got into this... this degree that I got and

yeah I'm really I'm happy about this the choice I made

mm-hmm Which of the topics were especially interesting for you? yeah

informatics especially but also... from now, from the topics of the summer

school. Not from my bachelors degree I mean. No, from the summer school.. yeah

what it's from what did you? Especially today about

evaluation because yeah it's really it's a team that is really near to my

bachelor degrees. For example we I I've noticed that there's a space connection

between evaluation which is the theme of the last lectures on

in this summer school and the quality management system which is is one of the

class that a time when I was at the bachelor degree. And well I I was amazed

about this list things that there was a really connection between evaluation for

example or on an industrial Rondo and also on information science I've seen

with through this summer school that is also evaluation. So maybe this could be a

team that I will I will focus on my own the future may be with my master degree.

mm-hmm So any suggestions? what can we...?

well any suggestion...? yeah the program is has been really intense and really

strong but I it was really good well as I really enjoyed. Maybe suggestion

will be to the future generation about from me to the future generation because

I when I will come back I think that I will say everybody oh go to the summer

school it will be a really great experience. Because it's a arena. It's

really nice to to be in our so international environment and well and

to be with so many people come from all over the world and that's... That was good

okay great thank you very much. Perfect yeah thank you.
