Legend has it that the "Panagiotis" was a smugglers ship, for which the beach also
became known as "Smugglers Cove".
The crash site became a popular destination for tourists interested in sight of the decaying
ship.

The quickest way to get to the beach would be by sea but the boat trips are mostly available
during the day.
