How To Overcome Jealousy | Encourage Your Partner To FLIRT With Other People - Duration: 5:32.

- I believe that one of the reasons why

the divorce rate is skyrocketing high

is simply because we have all these rules

around our relationships that make us feel

like we're suffocating in our relationships.

So I want you to flirt.

I want you to have meaningful conversation

when you're in a relationship.

That you can be in a relationship and have meaningful

conversation with other people.

Including other people of the opposite sex that,

yes, you could technically have sex with.

My name is Janelle Fraser, and I seduce women

back into their power by helping them to transform

the relationship they have with themselves,

their vulnerabilities and their sexuality.

A handful of years back I was feeling super trapped

in my relationship.

I felt like I couldn't be fully self-expressed.

I couldn't be myself, I couldn't have the meaningful

and deep conversations with people that I wanted

to have them with.

I was always concerned with,

is he gonna get jealous, is he gonna be worried

that I talk to this person?

Should I hide that I had a conversation with this person?

And it was like, what is going on?

When did we decide that it wasn't okay to communicate

and connect deeply?

And connecting deeply doesn't mean that you're gonna jump

into bed with someone, connecting deeply means that

we're connecting human to human and getting to

know one another.

And so many people when we get into relationships,

we just assume and stop connecting with other people.

We stop opening our hearts up to other men.

We stop opening our hearts up to other women

because we're worried that we're gonna make someone jealous

or that we're doing something wrong.

So when you have parties, mingle.

Talk to other people, connect with other people.

Let your partner flirt a little, have fun.

Has anyone ever felt bad after flirting?

No, you feel good, you feel lit up.

The only reason you feel bad is because it feels

like you've done something wrong.

And the truth is you're being human.

You are enjoying yourself, you're expressing yourself,

and you're connecting.

Which in my experience takes the choke-hold off

relationships, helps you to transform jealousy,

step more into your power, more into your confidence,

be more secure in your relationship, be more appreciative

and respectful of your partner, then all the lying

and deceit and sneaky shit that happens.

So I just encourage you to ask yourself:

what is this dynamic in your relationship?

'Cause if you're honest with yourself,

we all have some version of this story happening

in our relationship and what would happen if you made

your own rules?

What would happen if you loosened the grip

about what you're supposed to do or not supposed to do

when you're in a relationship?

I believe Everything would transform.

I'm not saying jealousy isn't gonna come up.

I'm not saying that a situation like this

couldn't cause a heated debate or discussion

between you and your partner.

But there's fire in that, there's magic in that,

there's a deeper level of connection that you and

your partner can also discover, by starting to loosen

the reigns on how you control one another

in your relationship.

So pay attention to your jealousy.

Remember, this is the opportunity for you to

go inward and understand, why do I feel this way?

Why am I reacting this way,

why am I starting to get a little bit crazy

when I see him over there having that conversation,

or why do I feel so bad when I connect with someone else?

Because connection is beautiful.

Connection doesn't have to be only sexual.

But often times we move situations into cheating

or lying and deceit simply because

we haven't felt that level of connection

and it pulls us at such a strong level

because I believe we are connection-starved in this world.

So to help you to understand, why am I doing this,

or why am I feeling the way that I feel?

Go ahead and download, in the description below,

My Self-Understanding Starter Kit.

It's gonna give you an understanding

of where your thoughts come from.

Where your feelings come from.

Why you do what you do, and that audio training

to help you begin to train your mind

for the life you want, for the person that you want to be

and start to build a relationship

with your mind and your body

so that you can react and feel the way

that you want to feel.

One of the commitments that I made with my partner

specifically was, I knew jealousy was gonna come up,

as you release the choke-hold on your relationship

and start to shift some of the rules

and expand your connection, what's naturally gonna happen

is various emotions are gonna pop up.

But I was committed to that transformation.

I was committed to not staying in jealousy

because it was comfortable.

Not staying in jealousy because it was justified.

And actually being conscious of how we were both feeling

and navigating through that together

so we both can be more lost

and we both can be more fully expressed

and deepen our own love and intimacy.

So if you liked this please give it a thumbs up.

I would love to hear from you in the comments

of your experience with jealousy,

of feeling trapped in relationships and

how this applies and you've seen this

show up in your relationship, and be sure to subscribe

because I post new videos every single week

and I would love to have you tuning in.

Make it a great day.

Best and Worst Pokemon from Each Generation | Pokemon Insider - Duration: 8:04.

Every generation of Pokemon has spawned a slew of great new Pokemon, but there have

also been quite a few duds throughout the years.

Today, I want to go through what I think are the best and worst Pokemon of each generation.

Of course, this video will be highly opinionated, and if you want to disagree, feel free to

leave a comment below.

I'm Pokemon Insider, and this is the best and worst pokemon from each generation.

Gen 1:

Best - If you've followed my channel throughout the years, it will come as no shock that Bellsprout

and its evolutionary line is my best from the first generation.

Bellsprout was my first ever shiny Pokemon, and it has stuck with me ever since.

At the time, I was 15 years old, and I had been playing for over 10 years.

I had never found a shiny to that point, and I the excitement it brought has made me overflow

with joy.

And now, almost 6 years later, I still have the same Victreebel in generation 7.

Worst - Okay, so there aren't many Pokemon out there as creepy as Mr. Mime.

I recently saw a video Bird Keeper Toby put out about it, and it just freaked me out.

I haven't really had any personal experience with the Pokemon per se, but it just kinda

gives me the willies.

I'm sure it's not just me, because nobody in their right mind would enjoy looking into

these eyes for longer than a split second.

Gen 2:

Best - Feraligatr has to be without question my favorite Pokemon from generation 2.

It is in contention for one of my favorite starters of all time, and being such a powerhouse

in my first Pokemon game helped too.

When I played Pokemon Silver as a 5 year old kid, I did what most kids do and used only

my starter.

Feraligatr was the perfect Pokemon for me, because it ended up being able to sweep through

the elite 4 by the time I got there.

Feraligatr is also the first Pokemon I ever got to level 100, so there's really a lot

to like about it for me.

Worst - Alright, I'll admit I was really dumb to do this, but my worst Pokemon from

gen 2 is Phanpy.

The only reason behind this is because when I was playing through generation 2 for the

second or third time, I didn't really understand how the Master Ball worked, and I certainly

didn't know what most of the Pokemon were, since I had really only used Feraligatr.

So, when I got to Blackthorn City, I decided to go train down below, and I ran into a Pokemon

I had never seen before.

Being the genius kid I was, I saw a Phanpy and immediately thought it was a rare, legendary

Pokemon and threw my master ball at it.

Laugh at me all you want, but that's what happened.

It's still my biggest regret as a Pokemon fan, and that's why Phanpy leaves a sour

spot in my mind.

It's still cute though.

Gen 3:

Best - It's got to be Blaziken.

If you can't tell already, starters are really pivotal for me as a casual Pokemon

player.

When I picked Torchic in Pokemon Ruby, it immediately became one of my favorite Pokemon.

I had already seen Blaziken before the games came out from the TV show, but getting to

use it for myself truly validated my liking for it.

Its signature move, blaze kick, has also been one of my favorites throughout the years.

What can I say, I'm a sucker for a big, hot piece of chicken.

Worst - My worst gen 3 Pokemon is purely from disappointing expectations.

Illumise and Volbeat are such cool looking Pokemon, but they just don't hold up later

in the game.

Any time I tried to use one, it went like this, [okay, okay, okay bass as the levels

get higher] In all honesty, I wish they had an evolution or had at least gotten a mega

back in gen 6, but they've just been disappointing since they were added in.

Gen 4:

Best - There were so many awesome choices for the fourth generation, but I ultimately

decided to choose Lucario.

Immediately once I saw its movie, I knew it was something I wanted on my team, and it

didn't disappoint.

I've used Lucario countless times, and I think it's just an overall great Pokemon.

It has a cool design, great battle potential in the story, and it has a deep backstory

of lore.

Those are pretty much all the things I want in a Pokemon!

Worst - On the opposite side of the spectrum, I'm sure there aren't any Pokemon fans

that would be disappointed if Lickilicky was never put in the games.

I know there's going to be one person who will say, "But Lickilicky is my favorite!"

and to that I say, sorry.

I definitely agree with Pokemon's decision to give Lickitung an evolution, but we don't

need Mr. Free WiFi out here giving us the derp stare.

I just think Lickilicky could have been so much better, but that's just me.

Gen 5:

Best - Generation 5 was when I started getting competitive with Pokemon for a time, and one

of the Pokemon that stood out to me was Volcarona.

Despite its weakness to stealth rocks (who can say where the road goes) Volcarona is

pretty great in battle.

It's fast, it's strong, and it can take a hit better than most sweeper type Pokemon.

It also helps that it's found in one of the most interesting places in the Unova region.

Volcarona is always going to be one of my favorites, purely based on its battle potential.

It's got a nice design too, but battle is where it shines the most for me.

Worst - Stunfisk (Start best Gen 6) Okay, okay, I'll talk about this.

There's not much for me to say about Stunfisk because it kinda speaks for itself.

It's not particularly useful in battle or in the story.

It has, in my opinion, one of the ugliest designs of a Pokemon to date, and it just

kinda sucks.

I'm sure this'll get the video plenty of dislikes, but I just don't like Stunfisk.

Plain and simple.

Gen 6:

Best - Generation 6 had only a few new Pokemon, but it was still a tough choice to narrow

it down.

I ended up picking Greninja for a number of reasons.

It was the starter I decided to use in my first playthrough of Pokemon X, and it served

me well along my journey.

It was also a huge part of my competitive team in gen 6, where I was at my best.

And finally, Greninja is possibly the best designed starter of all time.

Like, a ninja frog!

What could get better?

Worst - Oooh, don't get me started on Slurpuff!

I try so hard to say that there isn't a Pokemon I hate, but something about Slurpuff

gets me all fired up.

I know a lot of people think it's cute, but I think it's totally creepy!

I don't want to ever see this thing in real life, and there's no way I'm going to

try to use it on my team.

Nuh-uh!

Gen 7:

Best - It was pretty easy for me to pick Vikavolt as my favorite Alola Pokemon.

I remember when Sun and Moon were about to come out, and I had my mind set on getting

Vikavolt.

Like that was my number one Pokemon I had to have, and it turned out to be a great choice.

It may be kinda slow, but it more than makes up for it in its other stats.

Not to mention that Vikavolt has probably my favorite design of any Pokemon ever.

There were some Pokemon I thought were cool too in Alola, but Vikavolt just stood out

a lot more.

Worst - Gen 7 didn't really have any Pokemon I disliked, but the one I like the least is

probably Bruxish.

I really don't have anything against it.

I just think it's kind of an eye sore.

I get the inspiration for the Pokemon though, so I don't want to say it has a bad design

or anything.

It's just more of a Pokemon that I probably won't be using any time soon.

Again, I don't dislike it at all.

I just had to pick a least favorite.

And there you have it.

Those are the best and worst Pokemon from each generation in my opinion.

There are tons of Pokemon from each generation, so feel free to let me know what some of your

favorites are in the comments.

If you enjoyed the video, be sure to leave a like and subscribe for more.

I also post on twitter when I am going to be working on new videos, so if you want to

Best Way To Mount A Tire? - Duration: 13:02.

welcome back everyone I have been looking forward to shooting this video

for a while now so I've had this tool sitting in my toolbox for a few months

and I haven't had the chance to use it until today alright here's what I've got

going on today I'll be mounting up this fresh set of dunlop MX series tires that

rocky mountain sent over which while we're on the subject

Rocky Mountain has the best prices on tires hands down and these tires are

going onto this beautiful set of wheels that I built in the last video so the

tool is referring to is the Baja no pinch tire tool and like I said I've

been waiting for months to try this thing out I'm super excited here's what

Baja provides you with in the kit we've got the push rod this is what hooks onto

the bead of the tire and pushes it over the rim and then the lever and for

different sized axles for different sized wheel bearings so the axle slide

in the wheel bearings just like the normal axle would Purple's for the rear

a pretty snug fit and the blue should be for the front that one fits pretty good

as well so here's a really quick demonstration before I show you the real

thing the lever just screws right onto the axle here and then I'll slide in the

push rod it's pretty easy to see why this would work so well we've got a nice

big handle for some leverage here and as you move the handle it'll push the tire

over the rim let's give it a shot before I get started got to make sure I've got

the rim locks and rim bands into place if you don't have rim bands you can

always use duct tape the wheels are ready to go just gonna prep the tires

and tubes now I prefer to start with the tube in the tire but before I put them

in I'm gonna dump in some baby powder and that'll prevent the tire and tube

from chafing against each other got a good amount of baby powder in there just

gonna roll it around so that way it's spread out evenly the cool part about it

the baby powder makes the tire chain you'd process smell pretty good and now

I'm just feeding the tube into the tire I've always found it's a bit easier to

mount tires with the tube rdn

to get the tubes situated inside the tire I'll add a little bit of pressure

to the tube and then pull the valve stem out getting it nice and settled inside

the tire that way it's not interfering when I'm trying to put the tire onto the

rim and then pulling off the valve stem ensures that there's no pressure left in

the tube I apologize I was calling to the stem so I'm gonna leave the valve

stem core out of the tube for the entire process let's mount some tires already

so I've got my handy tire changing sand which is available from Rocky Mountain

link down below but I'll have to pull out the center axle so that way I can

use the Baja tire tool and as far as the tire mounting Lube I've had good luck

with this llaman lube stuff and yeah it does work on Honda steel all right I'm

gonna begin with the front wheel and front tire first thing I'm gonna check

to see if the tire is directional and it looks like it is we've got an arrow

right here pointing the direction of travel is this way

so if I were to mount the tire like this it would be on backwards so I'm gonna

flip it around first step is to line up the bow stem with the hole on the rim

get have to pull the tube out of the tire a little bit no I almost forgot

there are two nuts here on the Bell stem and I'll need to remove one of them so

there should be one nut on the inside of the rim and one on the outside so for

now I'm just gonna thread this other nut on to keep the tube into place then I'm

gonna do my best to push the tire on by hand that's about as far as I can get it

I'm getting excited to try out this tool now I've been playing with this tool a

little bit just trying to get the tension right

it looks like however far the axle is threaded into the handle that determines

the amount of tension put on the gears here so if you have it threaded in too

far you can see pretty stiff not really wanting to really move much or move

freely and then too loose and it'll just be sloppy and it'll wear out the gears

so before you use the tool at all definitely want to make sure the tension

is somewhere in the middle there I'm gonna thread in the axle all the way and

go about a half or a three-quarter turn out see how that is

feels pretty firm but not loose to the point where it's gonna wear out the

gears and then to lock it in at that tension I'm just gonna tighten down the

allen bolt here it's pretty self-explanatory how this works it's

basically pushing the tire over the rim

aha that is so awesome super cool and of course with any tire mounting you want

to make sure the tube is tucked inside the tire that way there's no chance of

pinching it but with this thing the chances of pinching a tube are very slim

what I'm really impressed with so far is the tool doesn't touch the rim at all so

it's not gonna scratch up your brand-new rims

I've got one side of the tower completely on just seem to get the rim

lock inside of the tire now and how I'm gonna do this is by using a couple tire

levers to pull the tire over the rim lock so that way the rim lock slips

inside and of course to protect the rim I've got some rim protectors here and

these just snap onto the edge of the rim like so definitely not going to hurt to

spray a little bit of lubricant inside here

as soon as I pull the tire over the other edge of the rim lock it's gonna

push the rim lock up inside the tire

just like that and then release the levers and we're in so that should be

the only labor involved with mounting this tire just gonna freshen up here on

the lube before I start on this side so I'm gonna start over here at the valve

stem and work my way towards the rim lock and just to make things go a little

bit easier I'm gonna throw in a bead buddy to hold the tire down while I'm

working my way around

and when you're using this tool you got to keep it down flush against the hub

that way you get the right angle on the tire

and keep your bead down inside the rim this will allow for a lot more space

over here for mounting

as I'm working my way towards the last little bit here just continually

checking to see that the beat of the tire is down inside the rim given me as

much room on this side as possible as with any new tool there's a bit of a

learning process and on that last push I went just a little too far and I nicked

the rim but you know what that's part of it nothing a Sharpie can't fix good as

new I will not be doing that again now I'm gonna pop this valve stem core

back in and add some pressure to the tube just going to add enough pressure

until the bead seats on the rim

looks like I've got a seated bead on both sides all the way around last step

is to set the tire pressure and tighten down the rim lock on front tires I like

my pressure set at 14 psi oh boy we're at like 40 so on the valve stem you

definitely want to run a rubber grommet followed up with a valve stem cap I find

that if you have a nut on there tightened all the way down

it'll restrict a tube from moving around and could possibly rip off the valve

stem inside the tube this is the rubber grommet I'm talking about just slides

right over and then I've got a sweet little valve stem cap here already

scraped up I don't have to worry about scratching that one and then for the rim

lock I'm gonna replace this ugly-looking nut with a red anodized one and it's

always a good idea to apply some anti-seize to the rim lock since these

are susceptible to corrosion

well the front wheel is all done and I'd say she looks pretty good everything

went pretty smoothly except for that little nick which is just minor details

stuff happens all right let's bust out this rear tire

the rear tire definitely went on a lot smoother than the front did one thing I

learned with this tool is you don't want to push the tire over the rim too far

you just want to push it right up to the edge and then it'll slip over the rim

push it any farther than that and you're just risking scratching the

rim overall I'm pretty happy with the Baja no pinch tire tool just like

anything else there is a learning curve to it it'll take a tire to to really

learn the intricacies of this tool it does make the process of mounting a tire

less labor and as they get better with it I'm sure it'll be quicker as well

definitely got a thumbs up in my book to check these things out head over to Baja

no pinch com I'll put the link down below

I'm gonna wrap up the video right here if you enjoyed it make sure you drop a

like or a comment down below and once again big big thank you to Rocky

Mountain and Baja no pinch tire tools for helping out with this video if you

want to see all the parts and tools I use throughout this video check the

links down below and I want you guys to hang in there I've got some big plans in

the works for the upcoming videos I will see you all in the next video later

Cruelty Free March Favorites - Duration: 5:31.

Hi guys welcome back to my channel today I wanted to share my March favorites I

have a number of products that I've been really really loving this month I have

makeup skincare and even a haircare item the first product I have is the

macadamia deep repair mask this one I got as a sample from Sally's it's like

at the checkout they have those little mini square packages and I picked it up

it was fairly inexpensive and I've really been loving it

it's the only hair mask that I've ever used that I noticed a difference with my

hair so my hair feels super soft after using it even days after I still noticed

a difference in my hair I haven't purchased the full size yet because I

think I got either 3 or 4 uses out of the sample so a little bit goes a really

long way but I will definitely be purchasing the full size very soon the

next product I have is the Tarte shape tape concealer and I feel silly for not

trying this sooner because this really is a great concealer the coverage on

this is really awesome and it doesn't crease and it wears really well for me

and I just really love everything about this concealer the next product I have

is the Stila glitter and glow liquid shadow I used this in a tutorial recently

and also in like a try on haul this looks really really beautiful on the

eyes and it's super easy to apply and use and I also feel silly for not

picking one of these up sooner I'll definitely end up picking more picking

up more shades of this but I've been really loving this as well I don't use

it too often because I don't wear a super glittery look every day I usually

keep my makeup more minimal but when I do want a more dramatic look this is

definitely perfect for that the next product I have is the essence lash

princess mascara I really love this one at first I didn't like that it wasn't

waterproof but this wears really really well for me I don't notice any kind of

smearing flaking anything like that even if my eyes are really watery I don't

notice it starting to run or anything like that I've even cried in this

mascara and it doesn't go anywhere so that's really great this mascara does

make your lashes look extremely long the only thing is it can kind of get chunky

and clumpy quickly so you have to be careful with it I have had the problem

one or two times where I put the mascara on and I go in for a second coat and I

end up with all my lashes kind of clumping together and I end up with like

three or four like solid stick lashes keep in mind when use this mascara just

kind of work slowly I usually end up using one maybe two coats of this

mascara if I feel like I need it but if it doesn't get clumpy this is a really

really beautiful mascara the next product I have is the hourglass ambient

lighting powder and I have the little mini and it's in the shade diffused

light I've been really loving this it gives a really soft natural glow so I

use it on the center points of my face that I don't want to highlight with a

regular highlighter so right on my chin under my eyes and even in the center of

my forehead it kind of just makes your skin look a little bit more luminous

without looking the glittery or like you're wearing an actual highlighter um

I picked up the little mini version so I could try it out but I will definitely

be picking up the full size version when I run out of this because I really

really love this product another product I've been really loving is the NYX

micellar water I recently did a review on this and I just really love this

product it makes taking off my makeup super quick and easy I find this works

better than even coconut oil which is what I was previously using to take off

my makeup this doesn't remove waterproof mascara but I wasn't really expecting it

to but I haven't been using the Essence lash princess mascara and it takes that

off no problem I've been really really loving this I'll link my review up top

if you're interested in watching that but this is definitely a great product I

think this is fairly inexpensive I think this is seven or eight dollars so and

you definitely get a lot of product for that much I've been using it for quite a

while and I still have quite a bit left so this is a really great micellar water

my very last favorite product is the Schmidt's deodorant I have the rose and

vanilla scent and I've been really loving this I think this is a really

awesome deodorant I think that was a big problem for me when I was sitting over

from just my regular products over to cruelty free that I was finding a lot of

the deodorants didn't work well at all like one that I tried I actually feel like I

was better off not wearing deodorant at all but this one works really well and

it's also aluminum free so it's not an antiperspirant but it does say it

absorbs wetness so I don't find that I am excessively sweaty in it and if you

like this lasts a really long time and it smells really great if you are

looking to switch over to a cruelty-free deodorant or

children I would highly highly recommend this even my husband loves this one he's

been using this as well it's just a really great deodorant I wouldn't even

say it's a really great cruelty-free natural deodorant and I would just say it's

a great deodorant this deodorant though does have kind of a strange texture to

it it kind of reminds me of cookie dough it's kind of like soft and gritty in the

color so we're decreto to so that's immediately what I thought of when I

open this deodorant but it's not anything that I dislike it's just a

little bit different than typical deodorants where they're just like a

smooth solid white color but overall I've really been loving this I hope you

guys enjoyed this video I would love to know what your favorite products this

month were and if you have any products that you tried out that you really

really didn't like definitely leave those in the comments below and thanks

so much for watching bye guys

How to Start YouTube Channel in 2018 if You Have Fear (or Shy) of Camera | Honest Tips | DPVLog 037 - Duration: 6:26.

Just came from gym. I saw this DM would he read somebody's asking he wants to start a YouTube channel

He's having this fear of getting in front of camera not showing the face

But still wants to prove and even start a YouTube channel, so what should be done

So there's the option is plain and simple when you are shy in front of camera when you have fear of showing your face in

camera And you're not confident enough to speak in front of camera to your audience Android value what you should be doing is screencasting

what do you mean by screencasting screencasting is showing off your laptop screen or desktop screen or something you are doing on computer and

showcasing that as a video format or a video content, so

Screencasting can be anything like let's say my niche over here and providing value with respect to digital marketing or maybe

Some few tips and tricks with respect to digital space so what I do, I would be in front of camera

Just like this one talking to you face to face at times. I am doing screencasting so you have to plainly and simply

Recorded now are the tools which I use to two years ago. I had Windows PC on which I used to do a

screencasting with software's like active presenter so back in 2015

I started screencasting and that was with a free tool known as active present you can find the link over here

Just watch out those tutorials, but they are old tutorials just to mention

They are not updated because I'm not using that software anymore plus. I don't have a Windows. PC so I cannot update the

Tutorial, but if you want you can just go ahead and click on this eye button and you will get the active presenter tutorial second

Software which I have graded myself to when I have Windows PC was Camtasia Camtasia is a lovely tool when it comes to

screencasting and editing your videos

But that will give you 30 days of free trial on top of that after 30 days it will be paid software you have to

Purchase the license which is somewhere around 200-300 dollars, but that is one-time investment. Just just google it guys. It's a digital space

It's 2080 if you are not using Google and YouTube you are not using digital space so Google it best

Screencasting software and start recording your screen and providing value with respect to video content and starting your YouTube channel

Let's say when I upgraded myself to Mac OS that is MacBook on macbook. There is a free tool

Which is QuickTime here as a screencast in software, so yes?

just to mention QuickTime Player is the screencasting software which I am using or showing my face when I'm working on my laptop and

I'm using

For editing purpose, I'm using iMovie when it comes to MacBook and other than that the camera which I am recording right now

And looking in front of me

Which is an iPhone 7 plus and?

On iPhones now the latest OS has a recording thing so on iPhone

I don't need to require any particular application if I want to record a screen

I simply have the inbuilt tool so all the iPhone users can use that

screencasting software

Inside iPhone itself they do not have to download any application so that would be my best advice

If you were to start a YouTube channel if you have fear in front of camera if you have fear to showcase your face in

front of camera or if you're shy in front of camera, but still wanna start a YouTube channel

Screencasting is the best solution because that is how I pussy had started my career because even I was

Shy in front of camera

I was not that confident in talking and like I used to do screencasting what I used to do is back in

2015 I would say I used to actually type in a notepad and used to show that in front of

Audience as a screencasting video. I had so many dislikes. I can show you one of the videos which has gone viral

Was how to when I had only 5 subscribers?

Right when I had only 5 subscribers on this particular channel back in 2015. I would mention the month as well. It was November

2015 and since then all these subscribers which I have grown is

Organic and I'm not about promoting my channel guys. I can easily promote do some ads and increase the number of subscribers

I don't do that. I was actually on my

subscribers loyal

Subscribers all right who stick to me could listen to me who watch me and have value in my content

That's what my purpose is so back in 2015 December 2015 November

2015 if I show you one of the videos here is that alright?

Here is the video how to get custom URL on YouTube channel how to clean your custom URL on YouTube channel

This is the exact video which I shot and look at this if you go to this video

I put up the link in the description below this video this video is having somewhere around 50,000 plus views right now

Which was organically ranking on the first page at that point in time?

Look at the number of comments in that video there are like around the hundred comments

I don't remember one hundred comments, and the number of likes is good

But the number of dislikes is almost same alright if I have somewhere around 200 likes for that like

170 and dislikes ezreal so that video is not at all valuable though

It was valuable and that were in time

But now it is not so people are disliking that video and fine with that

I learned from the process on top of that

I was not so confident in speaking in front of that camera or maybe screencasting of video. I was so slow

I was like lethargy. I was lazy. My tone was not energetic. That's how I?

Started when it comes to bringing value to your audience all right since that point in time

It's all about growing in each of every single video

Each and every single day try to be better than the previous video if I am recording this particular video for you guys right now

I am just thinking how I can be a little bit more how I can go that extra mile

Then what I was in my previous video that has one last episode

That's what my Muto is I don't do anything else

Just try to be one step more than your previous video, and I'm sure you will grow with your YouTube channel

That's my honest advice

This is digital fatigue signing off

And I look forward to see you in tomorrow's episode till then take a no miser neither of those guys

They are somewhat less

and if you have it then do hit the subscribe button turn the

notification and

Let me know

What do you think in the comments builder if you have missed out on the previous one to check out this video latest video from?

Digital forms YouTube channel do check out over there

And if you haven't subscribed to these channels tap on the individual logos subscribe to the channel turn on the Bell notification

And I look forward to see you in the next ones and yes, this is how I record it's all natural

I CAME IN 3 SECONDS | MY FIRST TIME | STORYTIME | Absolutely Blake - Duration: 5:02.

What's going on guys my name is absolutely Blake and welcome to my channel it has been a very high request for me to film

A video without my hat, so I thought today I'd give it a try if you hate it

Let me know

so that I can wear my hat from now on but as you can see from the title today's video is gonna be a

Storytime bear with me because I might be jumping around from one point to another but today's topic is my first time

So I lost my virginity back in the summer of grade 11 going into grade 12 that makes me around the age of

17 or 18 and I was on a mission to lose my virginity because I didn't want to be the last

Person in my group to lose it

I know I should have waited for somebody I

truly liked

But that was my young and dumb self during grade 11 right before summer we had a new girl join our class before I knew

this girl

I had never drank alcohol before keep that in mind my cousin Clayton

And I thought it would be a good idea to befriend her because she seemed really cool

She had tattoos whatnot we had like five main people in our group in grade 11 that always came to my place for lunch

So we hung out with this girl almost every single day as time went on and I got to know this girl

I found out that she was actually very

experienced in

Sex so I knew that summer was approaching and I had to try and lose my virginity before my other friend because I didn't want

to be the last person

I'm sure you know how high school works when summer comes usually you don't hang out with the same people because they don't live near

You and you don't see them every day

So I had to lock this hoe down I asked her to be my girlfriend and la-dee-da

She said yes, so now she's my girlfriend, and I'm still a virgin and I still haven't touched alcohol lo and behold

There was a party and I was very persuaded because my girlfriend was doing it to drink alcohol and Here

I am today loving it drinking every single weekend

Don't drink unless you're of legal age, but yeah

that's why I had to let you know that I

Wasn't drinking when I met her because I think she's part of the reason why I started drinking

But I mean I think I would've came across alcohol at some point so days go by in our relationship

And I'm getting nervous because she hasn't made a move yet, and I'm still a virgin so I'm scared

I barely knew how to kiss at the time or barely knew if I was doing it properly

And I was getting freaked out because she wasn't initiating one week goes by two weeks go by three weeks

Go by I'm still a virgin and I have a girlfriend. I'm like. Oh what's going on

I'm gonna end up being the last person with their virginity which isn't a bad thing now that I think about it

But at the time it was

Later on I found out through other people that she was waiting for our 1-month wooo one more week

And I was finally gonna have sex I was living with my friend at the time because I'm a foster kid and his parents took

Me in and we actually shared a bedroom in the basement so we had one bed on this side of the room one bed on

That side and the room wasn't very big

So I remember on our 1-month one of our friends was having a house party

And he only lived down the street so we went to the party now that I'm drinking alcohol

I got drunk, and I knew that I was having sex this evening now because I want to be the most open youtuber

I'm not gonna leave out anything, and I'm gonna tell you something really embarrassing in a second

So we're at the party having a good time, and she tells me she wants to have sex. I'm like okay. Let's do this

It's finally happened fuck

Yeah, I'm gonna lose my virginity we walk back to my house cuz it was only like a five-minute walk

We were drunk, so it felt really quick

I don't know how many guys might be watching this or if any guy can relate

But like I thought that this would help me last longer in bed

So I sneakily went to the washroom because I had to go "pee" and I masturbated before I was gonna have sex

That's right. I wanted to last long because it was my first time. I didn't want it to be embarrassing

I knew she had experience I didn't want to be the one random guy that like only lasted three seconds

I finished myself up in the bathroom really quickly and I head on back over to my bedroom where like I said the two beds?

Are really close to each other

Now I don't really remember the details on how it began or how it started

But all I know is that even though I jerked off before having sex I lasted three seconds

And

I shit you not not 30 seconds later

I had a third boner and I came again in like five seconds so my first time

I had three orgasms one self-induced and two for a total of 13 seconds

And I'm pretty sure I blacked out somewhere in the middle, but the story doesn't end there after we were finished

We didn't go back to the party. We didn't want to go hang out

We were pretty tired pooped I used all my energy in like a fifth of a minute. So what did I do?

I told her to go sleep in my friends bed right across from me. Oh

Man, I was mean and it gets better about 30 seconds after she was laying in that bed

I hear a big big noise like a fart

Maybe a little bit shorter and a little bit louder

And I guess I just did not care because I remember turning over and being like did you just fart and she didn't say anything

And thinking back on it because it's happened in the future

I think it was a queef so I lost my virginity

Kicked her out of my bed put her in my friend's bed, and she queefed on his bed

He never came home that night

So I don't know if he knows if you're watching this that girl queefed on your bed, man

In the end that was the only time that we ever had sex and that was that we pretty much broke up

And yeah guys, that's the story of me losing my virginity if you enjoyed it

Please give it a thumbs up leave me comments down below to respond to and don't forget to subscribe for new videos every Tuesday

REI Trailheads: Snow Camping - Duration: 6:39.

Anna, when is it supposed to start?

I don't know.

Honestly, where are we even looking?

-It's up there. -North?

I think you just wait and then it just appears.

-Just out of nowhere, huh? -Yeah.

I think so.

Oh, did I see it?

Hey, guys, I found the bathroom.

You guys see--you saw it?

-Uh, no. -No.

Howdy.

So, there is a geomagnetic storm

"supposedly" passing over Washington.

Y'all know what that means, right?

Uh...

We're gonna go see the northern lights!

We're gonna see the aurora borealis.

Has anyone actually gone winter camping?

No, hey, Anna, quick quest.

Is anybody feeling real confident about

what we're doing ?

Scale of one to ten, I'm like a s--

We shall find what's on the other side

no man has ever known.

Snow camping.

What could possibly go wrong?

(laughing)

Hey, guys, my name is Katie Hutchins.

I'll be your REI Outdoor School instructor today.

And I hear you're curious about winter camping.

-Yes. -We are.

I have a lot of emotions about it.

-I do, too. -That's good, that's good.

There's all kinds of reasons to go snow camping.

Some people love the winter out here.

You can hike out or ski out to an area,

but you're basically setting up your campsite

out in the snow and enjoying some of the solitude

in weather in the winter instead of in the summer.

-All right, let's do this. -Yes!

-Let's go. -We should probably hurry...

Hey, you guys, wait up for me for a sec.

I've got the gear.

Guys, I'm coming.

I'm so excited.

Can I put my pack on there?

What? No, Colin.

First, locations for snow camping,

can you just go where you went summer camping?

I think it's this way, actually.

Oh, just turn it around?

So, you'll have to check permitting and regulations

in terms of what campsites are open

and what campsites are not,

and you could always check with a ranger to see

if a certain place is okay for winter camping.

I feel like I'm like your maid of honor right now.

I'm getting married to Mother Nature today.

-This way? -Yeah.

Ooh, look how pretty that is!

Ooh, that's perfect.

Elena, have you snowshoed before?

No.

-This is nice. -This is your maiden voyage.

Oh, yeah, I think this is it.

When you find your campsite,

you're gonna want to find a little bit of open space.

Level ground is ideal.

You guys, this looks perfect.

-Oh my gosh, I love it. -Open, flat.

-Good job, Anna.

You also want to look up.

Watch out for falling limbs, trees dumping snow on you,

or especially if there's high winds,

trees that might fall.

The danger is imminent.

All right, you guys, I just made, like,

a little CAD drawing on my computer,

but let's start digging, maybe we can dig

our dining table furniture right here.

And then, Anna, why don't we start stomping right here

back and forth, like, just follow me.

Come on.

Three feet, two--

Wow, we like, really, this is legit.

Maybe we dig out this area

that I'm mapping out right here.

We're doing like a mid-century modern table, or...

When you're building anything in the snow,

you want to be aware of how deep you're digging.

Oh, are you gonna dig?

Great, I'll just be...

You can stomp the yard with Anna.

So, good to have a general idea

of how much snow is on the ground,

the snow levels, in general,

because as you dig down, you want to make sure

you're still on durable material,

things that won't damage nature.

-He's down. -I found the bedrock,

it's down here, just give me the shovel

'cause, I mean, I got the--got the space.

Don't throw it.

Colin!

Dude.

I like the enthusiasm, but...

(panting)

I'm burning up.

This is just hypothetical,

but how many layers is too many layers?

(grunting and panting)

You guys--

(heavy breathing)

You've gone too far when you can't move very well

or when you're restricting blood flow.

Okay.

-Okay. -Colin, no.

No, no, that's too much, you're right.

Yup.

Feel much better, I'm gonna get back to digging.

So how does one stay warm,

like, when you're not moving around,

especially at nighttime?

In the summer, you might use just one sleeping pad.

In the winter, sometimes we use two.

A closed-cell foam one, like the one you guys

are sitting on right now, an inflatable one.

So the more insulation you can get between you and the snow,

the better you're gonna keep your body heat in.

If you are moving around and still awake in the day,

you can do something called a penguin circle.

(grunting)

So you get as many friends as you can,

huddle in a circle, and everybody jumps up and down

for as long as you can.

-Like this? -Oh, wow.

I'm feeling the heat, actually.

Yeah, it's like ins--

It's like instantly.

Are you dying?

Are you so warm?

It's actually just Colin.

He's producing all the heat.

I feel very good about this.

Hey, guys, I think we need to shovel this, like,

a foot that way.

Yeah, I think we're good.

Time for dinner.

No, 'cause of the clearing and stuff.

Yeah, no, look at, it's right here.

I think it's pretty clear.

-You sure? -Yeah, it's good, bud.

You did good.

Let's go eat some dinner.

Clif Bar.

You think we'll see the northern lights?

Yes.

-You do? -Sure.

Have you ever seen the northern lights

when out camping in the snow?

So, I haven't been far enough north

while I'm snow camping to see the northern lights thus far,

but the farther north you go in latitudes,

if you're in Alaska and places like that,

absolutely a good thing to look for.

So, north of Washington state?

You may be able to see them here,

but it's a lot more common as you go farther north.

I don't know if you have any ins with Mother Nature,

but let me know.

Ohh!

See, I didn't think you had,

but, like, when you call somebody out,

like, "You haven't donated a kidney,"

and they're like, "Yeah, actually,

it was for my most beloved aunt,

who now gets to remain with us

because I made that heroic..."

-I know. -Linda.

What Is Salvation? - Duration: 6:18.

JOYCE: "THERE WAS A YOUNG MAN

WHO DISHONORED HIS FATHER'S NAME AND HE DISGRACED HIS FAMILY, AND

HE DECIDED TO LEAVE HOME BECAUSE HE WANTED TO ESCAPE THE DULLNESS

OF ORDINARY VILLAGE FAMILY LIFE.

HE WAS BORED WITH IT.

SO, HE LEFT HOME, HE FOUND EXCITEMENT FOR A WHILE.

HE PROSPERED IN HIS SINFUL LIFESTYLE."

AND, YOU KNOW, SIN WILL ALWAYS LOOK ATTRACTIVE FOR A WHILE,

DO YOU KNOW THAT?

IT ALWAYS SEEMS TO BE JUST WHAT YOU WANT FOR A LITTLE WHILE.

"HE VISITED A HOTEL WERE GIRLS WERE KEPT IN EVERY ROOM.

SOME WERE OLDER, SOME WAS AS YOUNG AS TEN.

HE BECAME INVOLVED IN PROSTITUTION.

HE EVENTUALLY STARTED SELLING DRUGS AND EVEN LURING OTHER MEN

INTO THE HOTEL.

HE FINALLY GOT INVOLVED IN KIDNAPPING AND SELLING GIRLS.

THAT'S HOW LOW THAT HE SUNK.

IT WAS A NASTY BUSINESS BUT HE BECAME ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT

BUSINESSMEN IN THE AREA, AND HE HAD ALL KINDS OF MONEY BUT

EVENTUALLY THE BOTTOM DROPPED OUT."

HOW MANY OF YOU KNOW THAT'S ALWAYS WHAT HAPPENS EVENTUALLY?

MAYBE MOST OF US WHO CAME TO CHRIST CAME BECAUSE IN SOME WAY,

SHAPE, OR FORM, THE BOTTOM DROPPED OUT.

"HE WAS ROBBED, ARRESTED, AND FINALLY ENDED UP LIVING IN

A VERY DANGEROUS PART OF TOWN NEAR THE CITY DUMP.

AS HE SAT THERE, DAY AFTER DAY IN HIS MISERY, BEGAN TO THINK

ABOUT HIS FATHER AND THE SIMPLE, QUIET, PEACEFUL LIFE HE HAD WHEN

HE LIVED AT HOME IN HIS VILLAGE.

HE REMEMBERED HIS FATHER'S PARTING WORDS WHEN HE LEFT,

WHICH HAD BEEN ABOUT 15 YEARS PRIOR, "SON, I'LL BE WAITING

FOR YOU."

HE BEGAN TO WONDER IF HIS FATHER WOULD STILL BE WAITING, BUT HE

KNEW THAT THE WORD ABOUT HIS LIFESTYLE HAD MADE IT BACK TO

THE VILLAGE, AND SO HOW WOULD HIS FATHER FEEL ABOUT HIM NOW

AND ALL THE THINGS THAT HE'D DONE?

SURELY, HE WOULDN'T WANT HIM BACK NOW?

BUT HE DECIDED TO TAKE A CHANCE AND WRITE A LETTER TO HIS FATHER

AND HE SAID, 'FATHER, I WANT TO COME HOME BUT I DON'T KNOW IF

YOU'LL HAVE ME BACK BECAUSE I'VE SINNED GREATLY.

FATHER, PLEASE FORGIVE ME.

I'M GONNA COME ON THE TRAIN ON SATURDAY NIGHT AND IF YOU'LL

STILL LET ME COME HOME, WOULD YOU TIE A WHITE RIBBON IN THE

TREE OUT IN FRONT OF OUR HOUSE?

AND I'LL KNOW IF I SEE THAT RIBBON THAT YOU'LL HAVE

ME BACK.' AND ON THE TRIP HOME,

HE BEGAN TO THINK ABOUT HIS LIFE AND WHAT HE THOUGHT HIS

FATHER MIGHT SAY AND HE JUST GOT SO NERVOUS, AND SO ANXIOUS, AND

SO AFRAID THAT HE WAS GONNA GET REJECTED THAT IT BECAME OBVIOUS

TO SOME OF THE PEOPLE SITTING AROUND HIM THAT HE WAS HAVING

A PROBLEM.

SO, ONE MAN ASKED HIM, 'SON, WHAT'S WRONG?'

AND SO, HE BEGAN TO SHARE WITH HIM THE DILEMMA

THAT HE WAS IN AND HOW FRIGHTENED HE WAS THAT HIS

FATHER WOULDN'T HAVE HIM BACK AND SO ON AND SO FORTH.

AND SO, THEY WERE GETTING CLOSER AND CLOSER TO WHAT WAS GONNA BE

THE BOY'S HOUSE AND THE BOY WAS JUST SO SCARED, HE COULDN'T EVEN

LOOK SO HE SAID TO THE MAN THAT WAS TALKING TO HIM,

'I'M--I JUST CAN'T EVEN LOOK.

I'M SO AFRAID THAT HE WON'T HAVE ME BACK.

I CAN'T EVEN LOOK.

WILL YOU WATCH FOR ME AND IF YOU SEE A RIBBON IN THE TREE, WOULD

YOU TELL ME THAT IT'S THERE?' SO, HE PUT HIS FACE BETWEEN HIS

KNEES AND HE SAID, 'SIR, DO YOU SEE THE RIBBON?

DO THE SEE THE RIBBON?

IS THERE A RIBBON IN THE TREE?

IS THERE A RIBBON IN THE BRANCH OF TREE?'

AND THE MAN SAID, 'SON, THERE'S NOT A RIBBON IN

THE TREE ON ONE BRANCH, THERE IS A RIBBON TIED ON EVERY BRANCH.'"

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: "'THAT TREE IS COMPLETELY FULL OF RIBBONS.'

AND THE YOUNG MAN LOOKED OUT THE WINDOW

AND COULD HARDLY BELIEVE HIS EYES BECAUSE RUNNING

ALONGSIDE THE TRAIN THAT WAS BEGINNING TO

SLOW DOWN WAVING A PIECE OF WHITE CLOTH WAS HIS ELDERLY

FATHER SAYING, 'SON, I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU.'"

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: NOW, YOUR SIN HAS ALREADY BEEN PAID FOR.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO BEG GOD TO FORGIVE YOU, ALL YOU NEED TO DO

IS SAY, "I'M SORRY FOR MY SIN, AND I WANT TO ENTER ON

A BETTER COURSE OF LIFE.

I WANT TO TURN AROUND AND GO IN ANOTHER DIRECTION."

IF YOU'RE HERE TONIGHT OR YOU'RE WATCHING BY TV, I'M GONNA INVITE

YOU TO PRAY WITH ME.

YOU KNOW, RECEIVING CHRIST IS SO SIMPLE.

YOU DON'T REALLY HAVE TO DO ANYTHING EXCEPT JUST SURRENDER,

JUST SAY, "YES, YES, I WANT A BETTER LIFE.

I WANT JESUS."

WATCHING BY TV, THERE ARE PEOPLE YOU'RE TRACKING RIGHT WITH US.

YOU GOTTA PRAY THIS SAME PRAYER.

GOD'S COMING INTO YOUR LIFE.

I WANT YOU ALL JUST TO PRAY THIS WITH ME RIGHT NOW.

LET'S ALL PRAY TOGETHER.

"FATHER GOD, I LOVE YOU.

JESUS, I BELIEVE IN YOU.

I BELIEVE YOU DIED FOR ME.

YOU PAID FOR MY SINS.

I'VE LIVED A SINFUL LIFE AND I'M SORRY FOR MY SINS.

FORGIVE ME.

I WANT TO TURN MY LIFE AROUND, BUT I NEED YOU TO HELP ME.

COME INTO MY LIFE.

LIVE IN ME.

I GIVE MYSELF TO YOU RIGHT NOW AND I RECEIVE YOU AS MY

VERY OWN.

THANK YOU FOR SAVING ME.

I BELIEVE THAT I'M ON MY WAY TO HEAVEN AND I'M GONNA ENJOY MY

The Dangerous History of Electroconvulsive Therapy - Duration: 6:56.

[♪ INTRO ]

Nowadays, it's pretty standard thinking that psychological disorders can be traced back

to something biochemically unusual in the brain.

But a hundred years ago, scientists were just starting to figure this out and use different

chemicals as treatments, especially for schizophrenia.

We've had a number of false starts that probably did more harm than good.

But all this led up to electroconvulsive therapy or ECT— the use of electric shocks to the brain.

ECT has a history of misuse, but professionals are still actually looking into it as a treatment

in a few specific cases today.

Schizophrenia is a disorder that has many complex symptoms, which include hallucinations

and delusions, as well as disrupted thoughts and motor functions.

It can be pretty debilitating.

Today, many patients can control symptoms with medication and therapy, but a hundred

years ago there weren't really any treatments for it.

One of the first medical experiments to treat schizophrenia came about in the 1920s.

It was called deep sleep therapy.

The goal was to induce sleep for 5 to 11 days at a time using chemicals called barbiturates.

Barbiturates slow down the central nervous system by stimulating GABA neurotransmitter

receptors, which inhibit neurons from firing.

Deep sleep therapy was based on the idea that schizophrenia involved a vicious cycle between

brain excitation and motor activity.

So, hypothetically, getting patients to sleep for a long time could break that cycle of

too much activity, and hopefully cure the disorder — or at least reduce some of the

hallucinations and delusions.

According to the first research report in 1922, a quarter to a third of the first 26

patients supposedly woke up with fewer symptoms.

But it failed to mention that 3 of them died.

In fact, death was a constant risk.

And many patients that survived deep sleep therapy suffered from life-threatening fever,

heart trouble, and vomiting from that much interference with their central nervous system.

But this practice continued through the 1920s because it kinda worked, even if the reasoning

behind it was iffy and it was super dangerous.

Soon, though, people moved on to other ideas — like insulin shock therapy in 1927.

This treatment involved giving people big doses of insulin, which is a chemical your

body uses to lower your blood sugar by telling mostly fat and muscle cells to store extra glucose.

But all your cells need glucose to make energy.

So if your blood sugar gets low enough, your brain cells won't make the energy they need

to keep you conscious, and you can slip into a coma.

Which is exactly the point of insulin shock therapy.

This treatment was based on the idea that schizophrenia was caused by some weak neurons

in the brain … which, for the record, is also wrong.

And supposedly the lack of blood sugar would force those weak brain cells to shut down

and conserve energy, which would sort of jump-start them into functioning properly again.

Patients would be placed into a coma for 15 minutes, 5 or 6 times a week for 10 weeks.

And they had to be woken up with glucose through a nasal tube or delivered straight into their blood vessels.

And while the original report in 1933 claimed that over 70% of patients showed improvements,

even those improvements were usually temporary.

On the flip side, patients could suffer permanent brain damage, or even die from the procedure.

Which are… some pretty serious consequences.

Now, in the 1930s, convulsive therapy was also introduced.

The idea was that seizures and schizophrenia were antagonistic disorders — meaning, they

couldn't both exist in the same person.

By the way, now we know this is also 100% not true.

But, based on this hypothesis, doctors used chemicals to induce seizures to get rid of

schizophrenia symptoms.

Typically, they used a drug called metrazol, which isn't well understood.

But it high doses it causes seizures by disrupting the receptors of some neurotransmitters.

There may have been some positive effects from convulsive therapy — at a symposium

in 1937, they claimed that half of treated patients were cured.

But also these so-called successes may have been patients who only showed fewer symptoms temporarily.

And — no surprises here — the treatment was also a huge risk.

Some reports said that nearly half of the patients had such severe convulsions that

they were at risk of fracturing their spines.

So scientists were throwing a lot of spaghetti at the wall when electroconvulsive therapy,

or ECT, was proposed.

In the late 1930s, an Italian physician named Ugo Cerletti supposedly watched pigs get anesthetized

with electricity before being butchered.

So he wondered if it could be used with humans for medical reasons — like in the convulsive

therapies that were in fashion.

Early on, ECT treatments involved two electrodes placed across from each other on a patient's

scalp, sending 120 volts of electricity through them — which is about the voltage of a power outlet in the US.

Doctors quickly discovered that inducing convulsions this way didn't help with schizophrenia.

But according to research reports in 1943 on several different disorders, ECT seemed

to actually help with severe symptoms of depression.

Patients were also reporting positive experiences with ECT, and for a while it became a fairly

common treatment in hospitals throughout the United States and Europe.

But there was a major problem: those thumbs-ups might have been because severe memory impairment

was a side effect.

The patients often couldn't remember their treatments.

There was also a risk of severe cognitive impairment, like thinking skills.

High voltage shocks can cause tissue damage, and can disrupt the electrical signals in neurons.

ECT also came to be abused in some hospitals.

In 1985, it was reported at a National Institutes of Health conference on ECT that its misuse

didn't have "the goal of curing, but of controlling the patients for the benefits

of the hospital staff."

The good news is that today, scientists have found a lot of chemical medications that can

help manage both schizophrenia and depression, with side effects that aren't as severe or deadly.

But ECT is still used in some cases.

There are some differences today.

One newer practice is to place electrodes on one side of the head instead of sending

electricity straight through, which might decrease the chances of memory loss.

And now, patients are given muscle relaxants and anesthesia to reduce possible dangerous

side effects from uncontrolled convulsions.

But because there's still a chance of memory loss or cognitive impairment, ECT is only

used in patients who consent to those risks.

And it's often considered a last-resort treatment for very severe cases of depression.

That being said, some evidence suggests that it really seems to help.

A meta-analysis in 2004 showed that in studies where people were randomized to receive ECT

or either a placebo or medication, ECT was pretty consistently better than the others

at reducing symptoms.

And researchers aren't entirely sure why.

Some think it might be a benefit associated with the abnormal electrical activity of seizures,

as weaker treatments that don't induce seizures don't seem to be as effective.

And studies in rats have shown that feel-good neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine

can be released after a seizure.

Others think it might reset people's stress responses, by jumpstarting the release of

neurotransmitters that don't function right in depression.

But even as we're still learning about ECT, it's one of the tools that clinical psychologists

have in their arsenal, along with talk therapy and other medications.

Even if it came from a complicated history.

Tulum Mexico (Paradise) - Duration: 9:01.

I was thinking about this other day and it's been a while since I just made a

vlog good old-fashioned travel vlogs so welcome back to the channel and if

you're new here my name is Eric and I am in one of the most beautiful places on

planet Earth it's been a rough winter it's been a long winter and I had a free

weekend so I figured why not come down to Tulum it is just about eight o'clock

in the morning I am at dos ojos cenote if you can see this behind me I don't

see something like out of a film look at the color of that water

the Mayans actually believed that the cenotes were portals to the underworld

or the next life and on a kind of grim note they made sacrifices in the snow

tha's we arrived at sunrise and had the whole cenote to ourselves which is

extremely rare for how popular this one is there was a serene peaceful spiritual

almost eerie feeling at dos ojos with no crowds there and it was very easy to see

why they were considered so sacred by the Mayans on this trip to Mexico I am

joined by my friend is Shannon who is an amazing videographer and photographer so

we've been here for about an hour and you saw when we first got here it was

empty I'm gonna swim over here Shannon just zoom out and show what it looks

like now okay

you're not alone anymore today is cenote hunting day but before we continue on we

need to find some sustenance we're looking for some good acai reporting on

Erik what are you having this morning I saw your goodness

not even morning anymore it's noon my first go-to thing whenever I'm in the

tropics coffee acai we found this spot called raw love

I'm right on the beach in Tulum but the thing is we're not staying on the beach

we're actually staying in the town which we'll see right now

one day randomly you know just chilling and I got a text Marik that says hey

when it comes to Mexico he knows of my great video skills my love for traveling

and of course I was like yes it was very random it was like probably less than a

week before we even came down here because I had some free time in between

jobs and I have never been to Mexico Shannon is pretty much fluent so I'm not

gonna lie you've been kind of a lifesaver the Safari

welcome to casa de pablo this is the hotel that we're staying at for the

first few nights while we're in Tulum now I like this place because it's a

very very modern minimalist place you know have these whitewashed walls

throughout the whole place you have the black and white tiled floors you walk

out this way and there is a 40-foot long pool that is actually I believe it's 13

feet deep the best part about this hotel is the fact that it is right in the

center of downtown to illumine pretty much the main drag in town look behind

me it's just one Street you have shops on either side town is great because

there's lots of little restaurants like right now we're at this place a block

away about to get some burritos muchas gracias breakfast number two of the day

a lot of people come here to Tulum and they stay right on the beach you know

that's what it's known for but if you want to stay like in the actual city

casa pueblo is right in the center of town which is amazing

you don't need a car you can walk everywhere like we just walk to this

restaurant go for it and

there is the wild Erick spotted in Tulum Mexico look at him drink champagne let's

see we have showered and we are now waiting for our friend to go to a lot of

the cenotes here are very very touristy so we actually met up with someone who

recently moved here he's one of the co-owners of this hotel Casa Pueblo he's

taking us to some of the more hidden cenotes oh there he is let's go the

place I'm about to show you is very very secret down took us to a cenote that not

many tourists will know about at all more or less you're walking through the

jungle and you see a hole in the jungle floor there's a sign next to the hole

that says jump you look down and there is a good 15 to 20 foot drum and you

jump down into some of the clearest blue water I have ever seen and I feel like a

lot of travelers say you know oh this is the clearest water I kid you not this

water looks like something from another realm

it is the portal there is just a beam of light that shoots in through the

darkness into this cave there is fish swimming down below it is serene its

majestic its magical it's honestly paradise it's kind of crazy this video I

want to show you different examples of cenotes that you can go to the one we're

at now is much much more touristy you you actually have to pay and buy tickets

to enter this cenote for this one you actually have to shower before you enter

which makes sense you know wash off the body odor and the sunscreen all that to

preserve the natural beauty of this note that so how often would you say you you

come to the cenotes I mean at least once twice a week but I go to like the ones

like the last one we were at or I go to a couple other ones that are

less touristy more yeah less touristy a lot more low-key all the other cenotes

that we went to were just kind of exposed to the forest floor this one

we're actually going down probably a salad I mean look at this you proudly go

down a good almost 50 feet underground into a kind of cave I look at all the

formations and then there is the snow day it is so quiet here everyone has

left we have a place ourselves and I'm honestly shocked at how big this place

is imagine coming down here with no lights

like imagine the first person who came and found this and it's just a massive

carved out cavern and you can even see over here there's roots from the trees

on the jungle floor that are kind of just coming down through here anybody

have a charger anybody well your phone's dead you need a phone charger here let

me see it in the depths of the devil cenote there

is actually an outlet to charge your iPhone your camera whatever device you

on comment down below what do you prefer the more touristy one complete with

phone charger and outlet or the more natural one hey guys
