Waching daily Nov 30 2018

Hi, Alan Stratton, from As Wood Turns (www.AsWoodTurns.com) When I purchased my original lathe over four

decades ago, it had a dead center and I had to keep a little block of paraffin to keep

waxing the end to avoid burning the end of my wood. It was a bad news center and a bad

news lathe. Since then we've developed live centers and chucks that make a world of difference

in turning and what we can do. But there are difference in live centers that

perhaps we should appreciate more. This is the live center that came with my mini lathe.

It has obvious play in it forward and back and side to side and a single point and a

very large cup ring on it. I really don't like it.

Instead, I sometimes use this cone center. I cannot use it all the time because it would

split the wood. But, it is useful many times. It is a good center.

What tops them all is this OneWay live center that came with my Powermatic lathe. It is

also available separately retail. It's expensive – about $120 US. But, as I thing you will

see, it is well worth it. Because, with this one, I can put on the cone center to replace

this one if you keep track of it. I didn't. But, you can use the threads to make many

other things. Such as, what I've been doing for a long time is that I've drilled out

a rubber stopper. There's one that is showing the scars of use. And, this one, that is also

showing the scars of use. This one, I drilled too deep and I had to put a dime in to rescue

it. Otherwise, the point would go through. I'll show you in this video how to make

your own out of a number 6 rubber stopper. White or black, does not really matter. It

goes one here with the friction of the threads. It gives the ability to put just gentle pressure

without marring the end of your project. A nice safety item to keep a little pressure

to keep the wood on the lathe. When it is not being use that way, I can use

it with just the point. Or, you can use it to put on other threaded pieces. I keep a

3/4x10 tpi tap so I can make threaded wood faceplates to fit this.

So this one happens to be one I can use to center segmented turnings on the tail stock.

This one is a friction center. This one is the finial steady and I'll show

you how I made this in this video. This one is a cup center that I use to use

for spheres. I used this one more recently in the cornucopia

to make a compression or compression chuck or some name for that. I used it for the rings.

I suppose that someone with decent talent could take perhaps a blank number two morse

taper and a chuck taper. And, make something of it.

But, why do that when you can start with one that already has threads on it and is very

versatile. There are probably a lot of options out there.

A lot that I don't know about. I am going to show you two of my favorites in using this

OneWay live center. But, I'd like to hear from you if you have your particular favorites

or your particular approaches to enhancing the live center and how it helps you with

your projects. But, for now, let's figure out how to put

a rubber stopper on it. Or, how to make a finial steady to go on my live center.

For this project, I'm using a small piece of poplar. I'm pressing it against the face

of my jaws with pressure from the tail stock. Then I'm proceeding to cut off the corners

and cut a tenon with my spindle gouge. A touch with the skew trims the corner.

Next, reverse the wood to mount it securely in the chuck with the tenon. At this point,

I'm drilling out the center with a 5/8" Forstner bit. 5/8 works well for a ¾ tap.

To stiffen the threads, I'm flooding the hole with thin CA glue. My glue spout is clogged

and I made quite a mess with the CA glue. Then drill out the hole again to clean the

excess CA glue. Now to tap the hole. As usual, I gently start the tap. The live center in

a hole in the end of the tap keeps it centered. My lathe does not have a locking spindle stop.

But I'm okay with pressing the button with the tool rest. Then wind in the tap with locking

pliers. Next, I drill a ¾" hole just 1/8" deep

to let the wood seat well to the live center. For my threaded wooden faceplates, I always

cut a mortise anyway just in case. But in this case, I'll use it shortly.

After a quick test of the threading on my live center, I can remount the wood to clean

off the original tenon and prepare the surface for glue.

Next to prepare the wood that will be glued to the top of this last block. It's the

familiar process: round it off and cut a tenon so that I can mount it securely in my chuck.

My live center is longer than the last piece of wood is thick, so I need to drill a ¾"

hole just that deep. Then glue the two pieces together and let the glue dry.

Now for the last fun part. The wood is mounted with the tenon into a chuck. I'm using a

spindle gouge to do the final shaping. All I really need is to reduce the mass and bring

it to somewhat of a point. Finally, drill a small hole to receive the tip of a finial.

It's ready to use. I've tried several different ways to drill

a proper hole in a rubber stopper. It is impossible to hand hold for a drill press and squeezing

it with a clamp distorts the stopper. The best way has been to insert the stopper into

a hole in scrap wood. Even then, there is some distortion. So this time, I'm going

to drill it out on the lathe. I've mounted a piece of scrap MDF onto a faceplate and

drilled a 1" hole in it. Then taper the hole to almost 1.25 inch with a skew.

This gives good support to the stopper without distortion while I drill it with a 5/8"

Forstner bit. This size is good for the ¾" threads. Initially, it is a tight fit but

it will loosen in time. Between this style of live center and a ¾"

tap, I can make all sorts of jigs to assist my turning. My finial steady is useful for

ornaments. I use a rubber stopper a lot when I need just a little tail stock pressure but

not specific support. I've also made many different faceplates, cup centers, and jigs.

Please give this video a thumbs up, subscribe on my website, tell your friends and send

me your comments and questions. Every week I make a new woodturning video. Please wear

your full face shield – Otherwise, Santa will put you on the naughty list. Until next

week's video this is Alan Stratton from As Wood Turns dot com.

PLANNING FOR EXAMS - All you Need to Know - Duration: 5:11.

Hello everyone!

In this video I will guide you through my tips on how to plan for your exam season to

make sure you tackle all of the reading and note taking in time, so you can have the best

possible grades.

You don't need a fancy planner or app to make the perfect plan for your exams or finals

week.

A couple of pieces of paper will do the job just fine.

The idea here is to create a schedule slash calendar dedicated to this season and the

sooner you start, the better.

My method is dividing the paper in boxes for all the days that remain until your exam season

ends.

You can do this in a typical monthly layout and then use one page per month.

If you don't want the trouble of doing all of this drawing on your own, I will leave

a couple of really simple templates in the description box so you can just print everything

right away.

For multiple classes or multiple exams, I advise you to use a color code to distinguish

studying for different purposes.

Mark your exam dates in their specific colors in the corresponding days.

You can use colored pens, highlighters, stickers, post it notes, and so on.

It depends on your preferences.

Next you should start dividing the chapters you need to study each day.

I encourage you to avoid doing unnecessary work by simply referring to the index or table

of contents of your main textbook, or, in case you don't have one, your syllabi, where

the content or chapters of your class are laid out for you.

Most professors in university hand these out in the beginning of the year and although

they may seem like useless information spreadsheets at the time, they can really come in handy

in this stage.

Taking into account your table of contents or syllabi, your goal is to take each chapter

and find a dedicated slot of time to study that chapter.

Don't worry about subchapters, titles or subtitles now – your goal is to decide when

you want to study an isolated chapter.

If it's a big chunk of material, feel free to divide it.

I also suggest that you divide your time inside each box according to the number of daily

sessions you want to have.

For instance, if you usually study in the afternoon and evening, you can use the top

of the box to write down the chapter you want to study in the afternoon and the bottom of

the box to write down the chapter you want to study in the evening.

If for some reason, you are absolutely sure that you are not going to be able to study

in a specific day, for instance during the holidays, make sure to cross out that day

in your calendar so you can organize your studying around those days.

The goal here is to be able to visually anticipate exactly what you should be studying and when;

being honest about your available time is very important to get this information right.

If you are too optimistic when scheduling your time, a gap in your calendar will probably

throw off all of your plans and force you to overlap two study sessions to compensate.

Spreading out your readings in advance will help you have great information retention

in short bursts.

Make sure to leave a buffer day the day before the exam so you can go through all of your

previous notes and summaries and rest for a while.

Of course, that the division of time by chapter you are making will vary according to your

classes.

Some of your exams will probably demand more studying then others so you should have that

in mind while you are doing this exercise.

Once you finish this, you have an official study map to guide you throughout your entire

finals season.

Planning for your exams, however, is not over yet.

Although having a general calendar will be a life saver, going through more detailed

planning ahead will make the whole process a lot easier.

Taking into account the table of contents or syllabi you used previously, you should

be making a separate study guide for each one of your study sessions.

Although this seems like a lot of work, simply dividing your syllabus into different chunks

will do the job or, if you are feeling creative, you can create a separate document for each

study session with detailed bullets including all the topics, subtopics and concepts you

need to study for that day.

If you adopt this last method, I encourage you to keep one study guide per page and then

group all pages with a binder clip.

So now that you have these two separate resources to help you study, you are basically going

to use your major calendar every day to know what major chapter or chapters you need to

study.

Then you grab your dedicated study guides and use them while you study or write down

your notes to mark each subtopic as you read or work on it.

This will allow you to feel a sense of accomplishment and will also allow you to be certain that

you are actually covering all of the material you should and aren't forgetting even the

smallest detail.

Drugstore Makeup Must Haves: Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm Sultry Review - Duration: 10:28.

Are you really tired of going into Sephora and spending your money on high-end products?

Only to find out that you might be able to found a better product that saved you a ton of money and still keeps you

looking pretty fancy in the drugstore

Well if that's the case

Then you're in the right place because in today's video we're picking back up on my series of must-have drugstore makeup

And today we're talking about some of my favorite lip products from Revlon. So stay tuned because it's coming your way right now

Well, hey y'all and welcome back to my channel if you've been here for a bit if you were new

I upload new videos

which is every single Friday and I'm also gonna ask if you are super excited to still be in this series learning about

Amazing products from the drugstore that you would smash that thumbs up button because it seriously helps me out

So very much with that sad I want to go ahead and jump into today's product

which is a lip product from Revlon that I want to share with you guys and it's one of my favorites and actually I've gotten

a lot of questions about it on previous videos mainly some of my older videos where I like used this lip color all

The time and so I kind of wanted to talk to you guys about that today because it's probably one of my favorite

Investments if you will that I have made at the drugstore on a lip product now, let me see this

I do have some future videos coming your way that are going to cover some other brands and some other

Formulations of lip products because this one is definitely different then your arm alike liquid lipstick or a glossy lipstick or any of those things

So stay tuned because this series is pretty in-depth

I wanted to give you guys like all of my favorite favorite favorite things and

Sometimes it's like multiple products multiple foundations multiple lip products multiple palettes that kind of thing. So stay tuned

It's coming your way. But for now I want to talk about this Revlon product. And here we go

so I

Guess probably one of my first makeup videos that I did and I'll link it for you above because it's kind of old I did

It last year. It was a fall makeup look and everybody seemed to love this weight from one this

Revlon colorburst that bomb that I used in seriously, it seriously was one of my products

I think I said seriously twice in two seconds here

but it was one of my products that I tended to use all the time like every time I created a makeup look or even

Did something neutral like this, I would put this on my lips and that's what I have on today

It's this color right here and it's in

sultry and I want to give you guys some reasons why I love this product and I grabbed two and the reason I did is

because

This one is so worn down

Probably because well, there's two reasons one

I dropped it once and so it like fell on the ground and smashed the tip off which sucks

So I wanted to show you what a tip should look like because these are actually really easy to apply

This one is not because I kind of you know broke the tip down

But this is actually what the tip should look like. And so what you can see here. Can you guys see that?

I'm from it. Yeah, you can see it better when it's right for my face

So what you can do is you can see that the bottom actually twists up. This is what's really cool

So there's no sharpening. First of all, and you have that nice tip to go in and apply so that it doesn't get everywhere

Um, I love that about this product. So for the one that I'm using

Unfortunately, I don't have that. It's not like I probably could try and like DIY it and make a better tip for myself here

But I haven't and you guys I've had this again for quite a while and look

This stove a ton left like it hasn't even I don't know. I don't really get like

65,000 more uses out of that. I might be exaggerating but you know what? I mean? Like it's it lasts a long time

So again, we've been talking about prices two of everything and this product is actually about roughly a little over

675 somewhere on in there depending on where you go to buy it and I'll list all the are all listed

I'll drop these products down in the description box below for you

So you can click online and kind of get reviews and see

And I'll even do both of these colors even though we're talking about sultry today

So I love this one because it really is nice

It goes with any look and a couple of things that I wanted to share with you about

This product are the first thing is is that it's really vibrant

Obviously you can see that and it is velvety they go on so creamy and so smooth, but this is a matte balm

So what I like is that my lipstick looks matte

But hmm, it's not gonna dry my lips out like a liquid lipstick one of my biggest problems with doing liquid lipsticks

Is that I love them but my lips get chapped in the get chapped easily and I drink a crap ton of water

So I don't really know why that happens

I also use lip scrubs and I just feel like I'm constantly battling this dry lip thing on my on my lips

So liquid lipsticks are awesome, but sometimes I tend to like steer away from them because I don't want that like cracked dry skin

Look that I sometimes have so this is one of those products. That's really nice. Like that's matte

So again what you like about the liquid lipstick is that typically well not typically they are they're matte lipsticks

So it dries and it can dry out your skin. Like that's the biggest thing about liquid lipsticks after a while

you just kind of feel like your lips are I don't know not sunburned cuz it doesn't hurt but the skin is real tight and

it just feels very

Like you have crusty hope that sounds really bad, too

Lipstick it can feel a little bit crusty, I guess with liquid lips

So basically what I love about this product is that it is a matte product

But it does not feel that way is a balm. So I'm gonna show you it does kiss off

so if you don't like that you

Might lip Surfside don't know but whatever you probably won't like that

it does kiss off but I will say that um

I can do this a thousand times and I still have almost like a stain to my lips, which is nice

I've went to restaurants and eaten

I obviously have had like drinks out of straws and I don't really have to go back and reapply and reapply

And reapply and that's the beauty of having like a liquid lipstick as well

Those typically stay on when you eat and when you drink so that's kind of nice

But I do like this one because it helps my lips a moisturize with it being a balm

But it does give me a nice matte finish now. You guys probably can't see but back behind me

Let me skip my chair a little bit and my lipstick container back there

All those ones in the very back are other versions of the revlon colorburst. They have different

Variations of this particular product and I can grab one. Oh

So this one is like just bitten kissable. This is a balm stain, and these are very different

I don't wear them that much because I don't know why I just don't and I love the colors like what they look like

But I just don't like how they look on the skin how they look on the lips

It doesn't really translate a lot of color or give a lot of color payoff and I think that's what I really like about these

Is that you do get a whole lot of color payoff on the lips? So let's see

I've got a couple of different notes down here. We talked about it being vibrant and velvety. It doesn't dry out your lips

Keep some moisture eyes

and then there are ten shades of these so I have to UM I can't even recall if I've

Seen a lot of the other shades or why I haven't bought them to be honest

I'm actually after I film this video I'm gonna go back and look at that to see if there's any shades that I would actually

Like to have besides these two sultry has definitely been my favorite one that I have bought

And it is hard to find in a store

so definitely check the link below if this is the one that you want because I have had the

Toughest time finding it in the drugstore. So we chopped through some of the reasons why I love this

Why don't I actually show you guys on the back of my hand just ignore what I swatched a minute ago with that other one

But let's kind of show you how exactly these apply

obviously

I have it on my lips so you can see that but I kind of want to show you what it does look like as

It glides on so whoops. Let's go ahead and turn this back

Okay, so my like non pointy one, but it is my favorite. So I

Mean amazing, right like and I went one two three

But I probably can just do two strokes one stroke even and you're going to get a really nice velvety

And then of course, it's gonna be very vibrant and then so let's look at this other one. That's kind of more pinky

That's just one swipe

Obviously you can see that so they really go on

super super well and you're just gonna get a really really

nice color payoff and I think that might be why they last so long is because you get so much out of the

application that you put on your lips and like I said

It does stay I will have this on all day long

Drinking and eating and if I feel like touching it up I can but I really don't have to it kind of stains the lips

a little bit

so my question for you down in the comments is I would really love to know what your favorite lip products are and

Really? What I'm interested in is because I have a few of their videos that I'm filming on other brands and other lip formulations

I'm interested to see if some of you guys are gonna like mention some of the products that are actually coming out in future videos

So please let's connect down in the comments and tell me what your favorite lip product is that you love from the drugstore

With all that said I think that's gonna be a wrap for this must-have drugstore makeup product that we are

hanging about today and some what I'm gonna ask is that if you haven't had a chance to subscribe that you would go ahead and

Do that now so that you don't miss future videos

And of course, please connect with me on social media. You know, I love to get to know you guys there

I also have this Facebook group that I really love communicating with you all in and I would really love for you to consider joining

It today you can click down in the description box below to actually grab the link

But this community is for girls that are just like you and me where we actually share tips and tricks and memes products

We love products

We hate once a month I go live for my show called contort and converse where I create a makeup look in real time

With you and sometimes we do hair if we've got enough time and of course

I just started like a new mini series like weekly gathering. I don't even know what to call it

Really other than is called masking Monday

So I do know that part and what this is is this is just a great way for us to Mass together

And I'm really started doing it to be honest. Like I told everyone in the group

It's mainly for accountability for me because I suck at masking every week and it's something that I really need to do

So every Monday night, we're actually just sharing

I'm trying to go live in that time and share a little video of the mask

and then of course talk about what I'm using and I love connecting with you guys that way so if this sounds like a group

That you would love to be a part of go ahead and click that link

Like I mentioned a few seconds ago and join us for the next

Time that we get together and I think that's gonna be a wrap. So I will actually see you next Friday in my next video

Hashtag reform tomboy family. I'll see you soon

In this episode:

Pocket Leviathan

Chrome plated Warrior

On a track and a prayer

Back to basics

Everyone's got his own style when building craft, but there are general trends out there.

Healozavr and his friend are going all out on bigger guns and smaller chassis.

Their tracked platform has miniguns that cut apart enemy junk-rides,

that did not expect such a hail of bullets and laser beams coming from such a small ride.

No bucket of bolts can survive this barrage of lead and light for long!

Despite its small size, the ride is rather tough and thanks to its force field it survives for far longer than it should!

Well, looks like the direct approach still works!

1000 Gold is now being sent to the winner!

Thank you for your video!

Have you been missing some robot action lately?

N_Ray got you covered!

Just look at this beauty!

A huge chrome plated body, couple of cannons, walker chassis and a look that kills.

What's even cooler, is that this beastly bot is actually decent in combat!

He's got a nasty surprise, a trap dispenser, that fixes targets in place for the robot to finish off with ease.

This mad engineer just won 1000 Gold!

Please, build more!

Not everyone got the guts to fight till the very end or to find a way out of the worst possible scenarios.

The next winner luckily for us, got all the guts in the world.

Using his sturdy track units as shields, he closes the gap with the enemy to bring shotguns to bear.

Even when one of the tracks gets blown off he keeps going and going.

With just one track unit left he destroys FOUR enemy players.

With six frags total we can't help but think that maybe one track works best for this guy after all?

In any case, that was great!

Hey XxAzraelbanexX, here's your Gold!

Most players try and build their ride as well as possible, constantly upgrading it with latest bells and whistles.

Someone, The Buizel goes back to the old ways of engineering instead.

This time he's got a gun carriage with a blast shield and all.

Looks like this ride got nothing on its more modern competitors, but don't you rush to conclusions just yet.

What we have here is a great shooter.

So great, he destroyed two enemies with a single shot, from long range too, after which he destroys 3 more!

This talented artilleryman will get 1000 Gold.

That was well done, friend!

Sizeism & Beauty Standards in the Gay Community - Duration: 9:56.

hello beautiful people thank you so much for tuning in to this week's video a

couple weeks ago I made a video talking about my birthday and this whole idea of

labels and not being a twink anymore and ageism and all that wonderful stuff and

in that video a couple of you guys really wanted me to make a video

discussing sizeism in the LGBT+ community and it's actually

been something I've been wanting to discuss anyway so I was like yes let's

do that so because we were talking about sizeism I kind of wanted to wear

something which to me is quite body confident and this is something that I

really don't have the confidence to wear a lot of times however because we are

talking about body positivity because we're here talking about sizes and which

is an enormous issue pun intended in our community I thought it would be nice to

kind of get a little bit out of my comfort zone I actually love this as you

can see it's kind of like a little bit of a crop top here a little bit a little

bit slinky a little bit provocative but I think it's really really fun I think

it's incredibly important no matter what your body type is to wear clothes that

you enjoy wearing whether those are more feminine or masculine or whatever

clothes because to me clothes don't have a gender you know I think it's really

really important to express yourself the way you want to there's lots of people

who would tell me that because I don't have a female body I shouldn't be

wearing this but I'm here and I'm wearing it anyway it feels masculine to

me and I'm enjoying it if you are somebody that's plus-size you can still

wear crop tops I personally believe that all clothes are for everybody

irregardless no matter what if you want to wear something wear it so I guess

that's one thing about sizes 'm in lgbtq+ community is clothing so in our

community you have a lot of people that will try to police what you can or

cannot wear if you are a person in the lgbtq+ community that is not even

plus-size but just like has a normal body you know but maybe is it like

overly jacked or overly muscular overly ripped people will say that you

shouldn't be wearing crop tops you know literally if you have a normal body

which is absolutely ridiculous no matter what your body is no matter whether

you're plus-size super skinny or average or muscular everybody has a right to

wear what they want to wear and so I think that's a huge issue in our

communities policing how people can express themselves if you are LGBTQ plus

if you have any kind of body if you are not out of bt+ you can wear what

ever damned clothes you want to wear and I just think it's important to let

people express themselves the way that they want to express themselves the way

that feels right for them the way that makes them feel beautiful or cool or

just fun so I personally think that crop tops are for everybody live your life

and yeah and I'm very astutely aware that I sort of fit more into kind of

like the stereotype of like who in the gay community can wear crop tops however

though kind of on that note talking about myself talking about my own body

here some people try to kind of like tell me that I'm not allowed to have

issues with my body or that I'm not allowed to kind of struggle with things

because I'm skinny now I just I have a huge huge huge enormous issue with this

in my in my experience in my personal opinion I do not think that skinny is

the ideal body type in the lgbtq+ community I'm not saying that people

that are skinny have it worse than people that are plus-size because I

don't think that's the case but I definitely think the ideal body type we

see it everywhere it's somebody that's extremely muscular it's somebody that

has a 6-pack of ABS that is what's presented to us as the beauty standard

of what it is to be beautiful in the gay community and often in the larger lgbtq+

community as well I don't fit into that I've been bullied my whole life for

being skinny so my weight has always been an insecurity for me I'm clinically

underweight I have been underweight my entire life I eat normally I eat tons of

food I have three meals a day every single day and yet I'm clinically

underweight but I'm here you know I'm literally I don't I'm lucky enough to

not have an eating disorder so it's like what what can I do literally nothing but

yeah going into the wider lgbtq+ community I absolutely do think that the

biggest kind of body size that is is just bullied against discriminated

against excluded seen as not beautiful is definitely people that are average

and above average in weight so people that are have average bodies literally

just a normal body that isn't overly muscular that's not seen as beautiful

and I would read to bus community for some reason I think it's beautiful

also I think that we as the side you have this image that having

wait is a negative thing whereas lots of people have above average weight and

above average size and are completely perfectly healthy some of them exercise

extremely regularly there's also this idea that like oh they should really go

for a jog well a lot of them do a lot of people exercise regularly and still have

above average weight the majority of gay men don't look like Athenian muscular

builds models that are like go-go boys in West Hollywood like that's not the

majority of our community it's absolutely ridiculous to put that image

on to everyone and expect everybody to have that body most gay men have very

normal very healthy bodies that are average and not and you know I think

people see that word average is a negative thing if you have an average

weight an average size that's beautiful and obviously preference comes into a

lot of this as well and I will kind of like acknowledge that some people have

different preferences some people are attracted to plus-sized people some

people are more attracted to skinny people some people are more attracted

average people lots of people are more attracted to muscular people because

that's idolized in the community and preference is fine

you're going to people have preference right generally speaking I think that

you do have to acknowledge that sometimes your preference comes from a

place of societal bias I think that it can be really healthy to acknowledge

that I think that I think that we think that attraction is just sort of this

like oh what's just - I'm attracted to and there's elements of that which are

absolutely true there are also elements that your attraction is influenced by

where you grew up you know what was presented to you as beautiful in film

and television and the media and advertisements you know and I think that

a lot of people don't realize that their attraction their preferences actually do

come from a place of basically societal brainwashing so yeah I think that the

ultimate solution to all of this is just to portray normal people in the media to

just have normal natural healthy gay men out there just living their best lives

being healthy being beautiful and to be like yeah they're they're hot they're

beautiful you know they're living their lives like ugly is such a relative and

and horrible concept and I hate it I hate that age is associated with it and

I hate that size is associated with it and I would love to see people just

portrayed as beautiful and just living their lives in lots of different ages

and sizes I just think that would be great and I think it's something this

community really really really need and I also think that it's important to

include other elements of the human experience in that as well

like disabled people who are also often erased from this whole world and and are

often kind of invisible or portrayed as ugly or portrayed as you know outside of

what it is to be beautiful I also think that you have be ime plus individuals

which is black asian minority ethnic individuals so just you know people that

aren't white basically which are also kind of X often excluded from what it is

to be beautiful in our community I think that you also have people that are

gender non-conforming they're often not seen as beautiful in our community or

what it is to you know kind of that beady standard people that are a little

bit more feminine or people that are even hyper masculine because sometimes

you don't see a lot of that either in our community so I think that there's

just diversity to me such a beautiful thing and that word has become

controversial which I think is unfortunate because diversity what it is

at its core is such a fundamentally marvelous magnificent beautiful thing

you know all the colors in the cran box just showing humans in their many

different diverse existences and so that as a concept is fantastic and so I would

really love to see more of that personally I would love to hear however

what you guys think about sizes Amman the lgbtq+ community have you

experienced it do you personally like struggle with self-worth and your body

image the in one of my previous videos someone was calling themselves ugly and

I was like no you're not ugly like you're beautiful like your age does not

define your beauty like it just made me so sad so yeah I would be really curious

to know what your guys thoughts are below and also like how do you think we

can change this how do you think that we can take what is very clearly an issue

in our community and how we're portrayed and how do you think we can start to

transform that into something that's more positive and beautiful so yeah let

me know your thoughts in the comments down below let me know what you think of

my super femme like avant-garde sweater crop top thing if you enjoyed this video

it would of course mean a lot to me if you gave it a thumbs up and it would

also funnily enough me a lot to me if you

scribe to this channel I know I blog on about that a lot and and but you know we

really do have to promote ourselves over here on the YouTube so I hope that you

don't mind too much and I hope that you like what you see and the world is a

super-duper noisy place so don't forget that make your words count and I will

see you in my next video bye bye you're beautiful you're beautiful you're

Ростовой ранункулюс из изолона и фоамирана. Часть 2 - Duration: 26:56.

Now we will shape our petals

For this we need here such a round plafond

I have a glass, you can take a plastic plafond

Its diameter is about 12-15 cm

The second plafond is large

Street

Its diameter is 28 cm

This one is for big petals, this one is for those that are smaller.

I will heat it above the stove, lately I like it more than a hair dryer

The smallest petals postpone

We will shape them immediately before gluing.

All the other petals, I took 1 piece

By this principle, you can give shape to all the other petals.

Petals 2nd row heated

The principle is the same, both for EVA foam and for craft foam

And stretch

We handle the top well so that it does not go wave

Here is a piece that will fit snugly to the base.

There is no need to make waves or curls on these rows.

These are internal rows.

Which should fit snugly together

This is the shape of the petal is obtained

The following we will warm already on the large plafond

Ccraft foam warm a little less, it warms up faster than EVA foam

So you do not need to warm for long

Consider that craft foam stretches more than EVA foam

Therefore, the petals get wider

But it is no worse

Right here on row 5

You can make one small wave

Gently pulling the petal

Here it should be

The next row of petals. I left 2 petals

I already shaped the rest of the petals

I will show what the difference will be, depending on where you warm the petal

If you want a more voluminous, light ranunculus

Warm up so that you get a wave at the top

If you want to make a flower more dense

Then this upper line should just be curved.

Without wave

The petals should fit snugly together.

There will be no waves here. Just bending

It will be a dense flower.

Now I will show another treatment option.

We warm it at the bottom

The previous petal was heated in the middle, and this one is heated below

See, what a wave turned out

So the flower will get more fluffy

This is the second option, and this is the first.

Just do not need to make 10 small bends.

Do it with or without such a bend.

Or you will have straighter petals.

Or make them more voluminous.

But definitely not part of the straight, and part of the curved in several places

So decide what kind of flower you are doing.

There are many variants of ranunculus, they differ not only in color, but also in the shape of a petal

Here we will have a wave

See, you don't even need to stretch

Just pull in the middle of the ceiling

A wave forms at the top.

Anything more, no need to pull

Maybe even this wave is too steep, it will need to stretch the opposite

In the comments, you asked why I had such a curly ranunculus.

Before the haircut, I had curly hair, apparently I have curly hands,

who make curly ranunculus

Personally I do not like ranunkulyusy like saucers

They are flat

It's a matter of taste

I would not advise doing such a volume if ranunculus is needed for a photozone.

There you need to fill the volume with a diameter, not depth

Therefore, it is not necessary to use long petals.

Better to make them wider and bigger

Here is a light wave

Now we take a foam ball

10-12 cm

I put it on the cup

To make it more convenient

Cut a small circle of light green EVA foam

It must be the same color as the first row of petals.

If the first row of petals is yellow, then the circle should be yellow.

I have the first row of petals lime

We also need 10 cm piece of pipe 32

For the base

We stretch the shape so that it fits snugly to the ball

Find the center

Glue the circle

Even if the petals of the first row diverge

We will not see the white base

Take the first row of petals

The one we put off

We warm it up

And immediately form a foam ball

So, exactly on the ball

And glue them

We stick the first petal only half so that we can insert the last petal under it

Now the last petal is insert under the very first

The middle shines a little

But this is not white foam, but the lime circle that we glued

In the lower part we make a hole and glue the pipe

Now paste the petals

I always put the base in a jar, it's more convenient

We also need the simplest cover for the microwave.

This handle can be cut and 32 tubes are inserted there.

What is it for, I will say a little later

From this will depend on the form of ranunculus

The cheapest cover fits

I will cut this side with a hot knife

And trim this part

And I will cut the side to the petals of the top row

Do not bristling from the previous row, which will be inside

Until this design is needed, we postpone it.

We start to collect

Second row, it is also light green. We stick it on the same principle

Just lifting it up a bit

Glue half

So that then we can push the last petal under the first

Now we get the last petal under the first

Good glue down to EVA foam not bristling

The following petals are also lime

We glue on the same principle, slightly lifting up

Just 1 cm above the previous row, there should be no abrupt transition

Paste half

It will bristle like this at the bottom

Cut

And stick one half

to another

The last petal we get under the first

The following petals are yellow-green in color.

They are the same size.

We glue them in the same way, slightly lifting up

Strongly petals do not lift up, make sure that the difference between the rows was 1 cm

Yellow row of 8 petals - the last row, which we will raise up

All the other rows will not raise

The next row - 8 petals from craft foam, tinted in yellow

We do not raise them, but we glue along with the previous row.

All the petals, except for the last widest range, we will glue equally

Along with the previous row, in a staggered manner, 8 pieces per row

This is what ranunculus looks like.

With the first white row pasted

Glue the second

The second is glued at the same height in a checkerboard pattern, 8 pieces

Now paste the next size.

And after we stick 8 pieces

We put on the design that came out of the microwave cap.

I cut the handle and cut the side

It will look like this

But we glue another row of petals.

To the bottom of the ranunculus was wider

If we continue to glue like this, it will be wide here, but narrow here

Glue the petals

8 pieces in a checkerboard pattern

Glue the cover

Carefully glue

Now glue the next row of petals at the same height.

Stick it well in this place.

That there was no plastic visible

So we glue it in a staggered manner.

Petals of the same size

This is how it will look like.

Two rows of the penultimate size

We do everything the same way.

These petals are longer

If we glue them at the level of the previous row, they will close the plastic cover more

Last row of petals

There are only 6

We will glue them, moving to the base

They will be slightly shorter than the previous rows.

Sticking exactly the same in staggered order

If they become too brittle, we will glue them to the previous row.

If you want to stick to the very foundation

Then cutting the last row of petals, do not cut the bottom

And leave it a triangle

Here is a neat basis turned out

There will be a small sepal that will close the seams.

This is what ranunculus looks like.

If you see these petals go down

Glue them to the previous row in one point.

If you like such a voluminous ranunculus, do so.

If you like more dense, then do not make these waves

LGR Oddware - Action Replay Cheat System for Windows 95 - Duration: 11:46.

Greetings and welcome to LGR Oddware, where we're taking a look at hardware and software

there's odd, forgotten, and obsolete.

And this little thing right here, this is the Datel Action Replay for Windows 95.

Yeah, this is a PC compatible cheat device, and it's not just a device it comes with a

whole package of stuff we're gonna be taking a look at.

But yeah this is "the ultimate cheat system" for PCs, oddly enough.

Kind of similar in theory to the stuff that you would see especially for consoles back

in the 1990's, but this one plugs into your printer port of all things.

And yeah, let's just see what all this does.

So this is the Datel PC Action Replay for Windows 95, which sold for £29 or about 40

US dollars when it hit store shelves in December of 1998.

"Action Replay: Play to win, never to lose!"

"Extra characters, extra vehicles, infinite lives and health!"

Yeah all these cheat devices promised the same things back in the day, whether it was

Action Replay, GameShark, Game Genie, Blaze Xploder, or whatever else.

I dunno about you though, but I always associate cheating hardware with consoles, not computers.

After all, game consoles are typically pretty closed down and don't have access to mods

or trainer programs.

But with PCs, I mean, modifying games to work how you want them to is practically a way of life.

So when I saw that Datel made Action Replay kits for personal computers I was instantly intrigued.

Turns out these devices go way back, with some of their first products being for the

Commodore 64 and Amiga systems during the mid-1980s.

Then in the first half of the '90s a couple of PC-compatible devices were released, including

the PC Comms Link Package: a half-size ISA card interface that allowed you to connect

your Sega Saturn or PlayStation Action Replay to a PC and directly address your console's memory.

Followed by the first PC Action Replay, consisting of another ISA card, software for MS-DOS,

and a little breakout box they called the freezer paddle, allowing you to activate cheats,

take screenshots, and enable slow motion.

That brings us to our 1998 version of the PC Action Replay, updated for Windows 95 and

98, and replacing the internal 8-bit ISA card with an external dongle that plugs into the parallel port.

It also comes with the PC Action Replay software itself on a single CD-ROM, and even a freakin' VHS tape.

Hehe, yeah this is pretty much the entire reason the box is as big as it is, because

otherwise all you get is the CD and that little parallel port device.

Speaking of which, what is that thing anyway?

Is it even necessary?

I mean, just going into this project I assumed that the software would do most of the work,

acting as a kind of paid-for trainer program that's updated online every so often.

And according to the old Datel website that's kinda what it looks like, with patches and

downloadable cheat code lists to update functionality for the latest games.

So yeah, I had to open it up and see what's inside.

Which, it turns out is not much.

You get the expected resistors and traces to pass-through a parallel device, usually

a printer or external storage.

But there's also a PIC 12C508 chip, interesting.

I've seen these used as mod chips for consoles like the original PlayStation, but they can

be programmed to do all sorts of things so as for what exactly it's doing to a Windows 9x PC?

Well, let's go ahead and see what we can find out.

But first, I had to try that VHS tape.

[tape insertion and chunky VCR sounds]

[tape plays fast and garbled]

Ahh I was afraid of that.

Being that this is the UK version the tape is in PAL format, so it's not only playing

too fast but my NTSC VCR and TV doesn't know what to do with the visuals either.

While there was also a North American version rebadged and sold under the GameShark brand,

I haven't been able to find one of those yet.

Thankfully though, the CD-ROM comes with digitized,

albeit highly compressed, video files of what's on the tape.

So let's take a moment to enjoy the late '90s radicalness!

-"Action Replay is the ultimate game enhancer for the PC."

-"Now you can rewrite the rules. Action Replay takes the"

"latest and greatest brain-busting games and blows them apart."

-"If you've experience the humiliation of crashing out at level 4"

"of your favorite action-adventure game, then Action Replay"

"is the only tool you'll ever need to even the odds."

Yeah we'll see about that.

Let's go ahead and get to cheatin' like a dirty cheater!

We'll just get the dongle plugged into the parallel port on the back of the Lazy Green

Giant running Windows 98, and get the software installed and ready to go.

And now it's time for yet more high-energy nonsense in compressed video form.

[INTRO MOVIE IS INTENSE]

[techno continues]

Yeah that just keeps going for a while, so let's move onto the main menu.

We'll get to the cheats in a moment, but real quick here I was kinda surprised to see

an options menu with such granular detail settings.

It uses animated 3D transitions between menus, customizable down to the individual number of frames.

Anyway onto the cheats menu itself, which uh. Is a lot smaller than I thought it'd be.

Compared to the number of games that often came with the console Action Replays, I figured

you'd get more than 20 on PC. Nope!

Though you could download more from the website twenty years ago, but even then they only

added about another dozen titles from what I could find on the Wayback Machine.

And considering how few codes are actually included for many of these titles?

Yeah the only way I can describe this is underwhelming.

Ah well, let's just try Quake 2 here, turning on all the infinite ammo cheats.

The starting pistol's ammo is unlimited already, so lemme play ahead here till we

get to the machine gun.

[machine gun sounds]

Hrm, well the ammo is still counting down.

Annnnd yep, I'm out of ammo.

So much for Action Replay being the only cheat tool I'll ever need.

Exiting the game you can see a trainer program open that shows every cheat is activated,

but it seems it's entirely dependent on the version of the game you have.

Guess I'm using a different version of Quake 2 than it expected so yeah, that's a problem.

Again the downloadable cheat updates could address this, but it's still a notable limitation

compared to consoles at least in the 90s where games usually didn't change after release.

On the other hand, this is a PC game, so you can just open the command console and type

in your own dang cheats.

Aw yeah, all the weapons and infinite ammo, no Action Replay required.

Let's move on though and try Tomb Raider 2

which also has infinite ammo cheats that can be enabled. In theory.

Again the pistol ammo is unlimited by default, but the shotgun isn't so let's try that.

[takes two measly shots]

Welp. Okay maybe the infinite health cheat works, let's go up against the first tiger and see.

[tiger roars, Lara dies] Yeeeaaah.

Another case where it seems the version I'm playing is incompatible.

Which is too bad because the game doesn't have any cheats you can just type in that

I'm aware of, instead relying on the classic method of performing obscure sets of moves

to unlock stuff.

Like stepping back and forth, spinning around three times, and jumping backwards while holding

a flare, which unlocks every weapon in the game.

[menu sound effects]

[mows down tiger]

Yeah, suck it tiger, how do you like that? No thanks to the Action Replay.

All right, let's give the original Age of Empires a shot this time, which the Action

Replay only provides a single cheat for: unlimited resources.

Should be simple enough right?

And eh, you'd think.

I mean, it kind of works, but only for placing buildings and spawning units.

Anything else that requires resources, like upgrading technology or advancing ages, will

still eat into your resources as usual.

And once again, the built-in cheat codes typed into the chat window are all way better than

what the Action Replay provides anyway.

Can you win the game using nuclear sports cars with the Action Replay? I think not.

So even if it did work with this version of the game, who cares?

What it comes with is much better.

Okay, one more game here even though I don't have much hope for it: Forsaken.

Again it comes with cheats for unlimited things like ammo and time.

Again, it doesn't work whatsoever.

And again, the codes you can just type into the menus without the Action Replay are all

way better than what the Action Replay comes with.

So what's going on?

I mean I assume this thing worked at some point.

Well yeah, so I have a theory.

After looking through the archives of the old Datel website, it seems that the UK version

of the PC Action Replay is strictly meant for UK versions of these games.

Which is probably why there was that PC GameShark released here in the US with its own distinct

set of cheats.

So yeah, I guess it's not surprising that my North American releases aren't working

properly, but it's still quite the disappointment regardless.

There's just the lack of cheats in general.

It doesn't come with very many, even with all the updates applied, and since most PC

games had their own, better codes you could type in or access through simple modifications?

The PC Action Replay just seems silly.

Oh and in case you're wondering, the Action Replay application does actually look for

the parallel port dongle, and mine's working fine.

If it's unplugged or there's some problem with it, the cheat software will refuse to

work or even open up a game at all.

Now, I'm still not 100% certain that the dongle is necessary for enabling the cheats

themselves since it seems to be completely relying on trainer software to do that.

But it is required as a form of copy protection,

which just makes this entire kit all the more irksome to use.

Well that's about it for the Action Replay for PCs, at least this one.

I think that the other one, the older one, like the full ISA card version might have

been a little more useful than this.

Just because you know, it did things like screenshots and not fall over on my table.

And it had a memory manager and all sorts of extra things, you know, that little box

that came out of the back. But,

this, I mean. The more I thought about it the more I just don't know exactly who this was targeted towards.

Like at first I thought well, maybe this is for people that just want to play their PC

games and don't know that they can just type them in like cheat codes or use the dev console

or command line stuff or anything like that.

I don't know, maybe this is just me assuming here.

But if somebody is into PC games enough that they want to, you know, modify them to some

degree with software and you know cheat and add things to them.

And they're willing to spend 30 pounds on something, plug this into there and get it

working and get the software going.

And use a trainer and then go on the internet to download stuff to update it.

It just, it boggles my mind who this is for.

It doesn't make sense on a PC when you have a keyboard that can do all sorts of things

for built-in commands.

And then you also have all sorts of other software that's for free and doesn't rely

on a copy protected little dongle thing!

Anyway, if you had any experience with this back in the day do please let me know, I'd be curious.

Or even the older ones because I -- again, I think those might be a little more useful.

And if you enjoyed this episode of LGR Oddware then thanks!

I'm sure you'd find some other stuff enjoyable that I've made in the past on this series

and many others that I have going on LGR.

It's pretty much all focused on retro tech and computers and games and stuff, so if that's

your thing then you're in the right place.

Regardless though, thank you very much for watching LGR!

¡WooW¡!

Hi curious and curious, I'm JJ Priego, welcome to Easypromos TV, your channel Marketing and Networking

Social.

10 years ago even we had been able to raise the impact and scope

that today social networks like Facebook, Twitter or Instagram could ever have.

But, are you aware of the real Internet traffic with each of them?

Will you see it? Vamossss!

INTRO

Sandvine, California-based expert networks, has conducted an interesting

study as far as web traffic and social networking is concerned.

The study called The Global Internet Phenomena Report, and I'll leave the link in the description,

He states that Instagram is already a leader worldwide in terms of volume of data generated.

This study was carried out last October and confirms that Instagram, the visual

and powerful network that lately, all Millennials (and not so Millennials) invest

most of our time is that more data generated worldwide.

Of course, we keep in mind that the study authors have not included YouTube

Facebook and videos on it, for the obvious bias that could generate. Dice

the weight of the video content.

But ... if we look for continents how's it going?

Well ... while in Europe Instagram becomes undisputed leader of traffic,

in America, however, Facebook is still the leader, being the social network more traffic

It generated among all Americans. But ... What other social networks are composing

Top 10 social traffic?

Well, as we can see in the picture below, the Top 10 social networking more traffic

social generated in the world is burning ... With Instagram and Facebook to the head, and

a lot of distance, we can see how Snapchat is in third place, becoming

a leading platform for younger users. An application that always

It is ready to offer new features and attractive to Generation Z. On the other

side, and although Europe is not highly used, Tumblr is placed at number

4, with an application very attractive for Asian and American public .. Interestingly

Twitter is ranked 6. And although no one can deny that the tool is

most popular media worldwide, has left the TOP 5 ... Though I think it will

going up with the latest changes ... By the way, one of the networks to highlight in this

Top 10 is Pinterest. Located in eighth place.

In conclusion we can see that Mark Zuckerberg companies is going well, occupying

more than 80% of all social traffic ... Something is tremendous ... And that's not counting

WhatsApp that many consider it more a social network than a messaging app ...

And nothing until today's video here.

How you have fallen curious and inquisitive?

What do you have like these metrics? Would you have been surprised? You can put me in

comments...

And nothing, if you liked this video I give the like. And if it's your first time in Easypromos

TV give this button and subscribe to our channel, also the bell to keep up

of developments. Finally I recommend you follow my other 2 channels Stories

History and Science of Science. You will like them. And remember, knowledge is a requirement

essential for survival. Many thanks.

TYPICAL BEGINNERS DRAWING MISTAKES / DESTROYING MY OLDEST DOLL REPAINT / MONSTER HIGH REPAINT - Duration: 31:57.

Hello everyone and

welcome to my new doll repaint video

You know, I repaint dolls approximately all the time

I release a new finished doll every week Friday and that means I have to work on them

every single day to be able to reach the deadline and because of this I can not really see my own progress anymore

I don't see how I evolved as an artist and if I'm really growing

and do my techniques change and stuff like this and that's why today I've decided to make this kind of an experiment

I'm going to take this doll. It was made by me

exactly two years ago. It's not the doll number one, but this is the oldest doll that I have now in my collection

I think this is the doll approximately

number 6 so and if I tell you that right now I've made over

150 dolls in total this is of course the very beginning of my doll artist career so you can consider it the first or the

oldest doll so I'm going to take pictures of this doll then

I'm going to take an acetone and I will remove her face completely

Then I'm going to destroy my repaint and I'm going to recreate her face completely

from the beginning the way I do it now, but it's not just this

I'm also going to take my old video where I was showing how I worked on this doll

and I'm going to watch it together with you just to see

If my own work, if my own techniques have changed after all these years and after all these

hundreds of dolls, maybe I used to make terrible mistakes, maybe I did something that is absolutely unacceptable

for me now. I have no idea, honestly, it was too long ago

I don't even know what kind of materials I used on her. I don't know

The only thing that I can see that I used

human lashes on her and I never do it on my dolls anymore already for a very long time

So I think it's gonna be a very interesting

experiment and then we will be able to compare the picture of this doll before we destroyed it and the new

edition of the same Clawdeen doll, and we're gonna see if

Poppen Atelier has grown a little bit after all these years of doll repainting

So for me it's also very interesting challenge to see my own progress now after years

So let's take this doll, acetone and let's destroy her face

Let's go

So let's look at this doll from close. I can tell you immediately that I have used too much of black pastels and

honestly her makeup and lips look strange to me

What kind of pastels did I use two years ago, or was it just made with regular makeup?

Because it all looks quite dirty

And also glossy and greasy in some way and kinds a little bit changed, I don't know

especially the lip color

But I'm not sure let's probably start watching the old video to see what kind of pastels or other

coloring powder would a used to get this kind of result

In the beginning, it's all kind of the same

like now these first steps haven't changed at all and the only difference is that I didn't speak in my videos and I really

used subtitles for a very long time

And by the way, does anyone still remember my old videos without the voice-over in just with subtitles?

Write it in a comment

Her outfit I'm gonna keep, I think it's really cute and then I'm removing the

eyelashes and warming up the head with the hairdryer to be able to take it off

And in the old repaint I still needed to cut her hair off, to clean the head from the

inside and the cut of the ears

And then I'm destroying my old artwork with pure acetone and it's always quite a painful moment

even when you're sure that the new version is going to be better than the one you're wiping off

And you can also see that it takes much longer to destroy the face made by me compared to the factory quality makeup

And here we go

Exactly like I suspected in the beginning of this video

This doll's face was made using the eyeshadows and now two years later

I can clearly see the difference

I immediately noticed that there was something very wrong going on

You asked me many times if you could use regular makeup for working on those and the answer is - better not

I remember when I finally bought high-quality pastels

I felt that my dolls kind of stepped to the next level and you will see it also in the end of this video

Another disturbing thing is that I was starting the makeover immediately with contouring

Now I always sketch eyes and eyebrows first and then I contour a face and the eyes as well and now I'm contouring the eye

area without having the eyes. Very interesting. What am I contouring? Something very abstract...

Let's scroll a little bit forward to check how I sketched the eyes before I will do it again on the same doll

Wow, okay. First of all, girl your pencil is not sharp. Hello

It's a pity I couldn't hear myself from the future)) Take a knife girl and make your pencil sharp

Actually, I see this mistake almost always when I look at works of many beginners

Your pencils must be extremely sharp, then the end result will look really precise and clean

And another problem is that I was using the complete eyes socket of the doll. This is not really correct

you should sketch the eyes smaller than the mold because above you will still need to draw the

creases and below should still come the bottom eyelids and I used here the whole space to draw just the eye itself

And now I'm drawing the creases already halfway to the eyebrows, of course

And I was also using a very light pink pencil to sketch, you can do it of course

There will come shadows on top but now I use light brown pencil

to do the same job and it shows up on the surface much better

Okay now I think it's time to do everything correct

First of all, I need to take a very sharp pencil in caput mortuum color and

now I will sketch the eyes and the eyebrows

You see, I'm not using the complete eye area of the face mold

I am using this space for the eyelids as well,

not just for the white of her eyes like in the old repaint

In the previous version I first fill the eyes in with white and now I'm going to wait with it because

first I still need to contour her face and the white will become very dirty anyway during this contouring process

I also draw the shape of her lips now using the same very natural color pencil

Now let's finally contour the face and first I need to prepare the pastels

I will use brownish colors for shadowing and contouring and pink pastel to add some blush to her skin tone

I will put now again the two videos together and you will see the difference between makeup and soft pastels

Before I was basically making some dirty gray brown mess on her face

Okay, the shading is done now, let's go back to the retro video and what

an amazing surprise again!

I was using the black pencil as a main color straight from the beginning

Can you believe it. Wow, it's really bold

Nowadays I use black just in the very end to draw the lashes, the pupils, maybe the eyeliner

And all the rest I do with the combo of brownish pencils. It looks much more natural and less

dirty than black

Now let's work on her creases and eyebrows in a more contemporary technique

But first I want to feel her eyes with a white pencil since we've skipped the step in the beginning

For the eyelids and the eye creases I use brown pencils, like I said, not the black one, of course

And there is another thing that has never happened in the old face up for some mystic reason

I didn't draw the shadows on the white of her eyes

This step is a must you have to show the round eye shape by applying shadows if you're going for

a realistic repaint, so this time I'm not going to skip this step

With the red pencil. I also work on the waterline.

I want to make her lips more pink, her outfit is pretty colorful, so I want to have these bold colors in her face as well

And then the same like in the old video I sketch the irises and the pupils

And what was the next step in the old video?

Oh! Even more black. Oh girl. Are you kiddin with me, even the eyebrows are in pure black?

Okay, the blue eyes we will repeat in a minute

And again, the pencils must be sharper and the lines must be more fine

So let's give color to her eyes now and if in the old video

I just painted the complete irises in blue, right now I'm going to draw the basic shadows and reflections

The top of the iris will be darker

there will come a shadow from the lashes and from the eyelid and the bottom part of the circle will be lighter

Let's time travel again and there I was busy with shadowing the eyelids and

like I thought already before the bottom eyelids will be just pulled down to her cheeks

And of course since I used the black pencil just for everything

I needed to make the eyelids all the time darker and darker to cover up the black pencil lines

I think in the end I was just using here pure black pastels and

that's why her face started to look really dirty

And meanwhile in the real life time repaint I started drawing the highlights to give the eyelids more dimension

Okay here it starts to look quite good and let's see, how is it going in the old timeline

Maybe it's time for the highlights there as well

No

No, I'm applying even more black pencil

no, of course, after applying black pastels

you have to make the lines a little bit visible again, and then you're using what? More of a black pencil

No, and it's not just a black pencil, but it's a not sharp black pencil

Aha, and then with the same dull white pencil, I was still trying to draw the highlights

And now it's finally a moment for the black pencil in my new repaint. You see how little I use it

and how fine the lines are

I'll also add some extra highlighted accents to her face and this step I've

completely skipped in the previous version of this doll.

Okay, the lashes it's another pain in my heart

I take the same dull pencil and I draw seven thick

separate lashes. Point. The end of story

Now I always go for very fine and very natural looking lashes

No - seven thick

separate lashes. That's it

So I can tell now that for the old makeover. I've probably used just three pencils the black, white,

blue

okay - 4, also the pink for the lips. And I also didn't care much about adding shadows to the white of

her eyes, nor about red pink waterline

It didn't disturb me at all

Then with white acrylic paint I add reflections to her eyes

I was going to give her false doll lashes, but I think now I will draw the top lashes as well

I started to like this kind of painted on lashes lately. I don't know why

And now let's apply gloss to her eyes and lips. For the gloss in my old makeover

I remember I used a transparent nail polish

And it's also some risky business I can tell you. You can do it of course

but you have to work very quickly and you also have no right for a mistake because the nail polish

of course contains acetone and it can easily destroy your fresh made eyes

In the beginning, I never blushed doll bodies

Then I got lots of negative comments that a face color didn't match a body tone

So I had just no other choice than to learn how to blush doll bodies as well

So now I'm sanding it with nail buffers. Then I clean the body with an acetone free nail polish remover

I spray it with three layers of Mister Super Clear sealant

and then I blush it with the same pastels like I did it to her face

Before putting the head and the body back together

I still need to decide if I want to make a new wig for her

This pink one is cute, of course, but I want to make her look more bold, colorful and more contrast

So I think I will make this very intense blue wig for her

First I'm making the wig using my regular technique

Then I cut her hair short and I style it with all kinds of devices and products. I use a hairdryer

and the mini hair iron

Hair spray helps also a lot because it's really difficult to make short doll hair lay flat and pretty

and you will have this mushroom hair most of the time

Her hair looks very good now I think and I still want to make some extra colorful accessories for her

Using airdry clay, I make a lollipop and I let it dry

After 24 hours of drying I spray the lollipop with mr. Super clear sealant

Then I color it with watercolor pencils and in the end. I apply a coat of glossy varnish on top of it

And then using the bottle ring, a couple of colorful buttons and a piece of silver fabric I make

headphones for her

And now, let's finally take a look at the end result

I've decided to keep both of her wigs as a part of the set

So a new owner will be able to decide himself what hair color to give to this doll.

And what color do you prefer honestly, the pink or the blue? Tell me in the comment

You know

I could say in as a conclusion how important it is to use right professional supplies and have a high

professional knowledge in what you're doing

But this is actually absolutely not true because the correct conclusion

is that we should do the things that interest us

Even if you don't have enough knowledge yet or if you don't have the right supplies at the moment

I could learn everything I can do now just by practicing every day,

by making these ridiculous mistakes and by learning how to correct them,

by learning what works better and what doesn't work at all

There is no big achievement without making those clumsy first steps that will look funny even to yourself years later

So, please create,

Express yourself and don't be scared

There is nothing bad or shameful in being a beginner and I will always be here to support you

Thank you for time travelling today together with me. Of course

please don't forget to subscribe to my channel if you're for the first time here

Welcome to the family

And also, please support my video with your likes if you enjoyed it. Of course, don't forget about the doll giveaway

that is going on my channel right now and the details you can find in my last week doll repaint video

And this doll will be for sale on eBay again, the link you will find in the description box and

my work for today is over

Have a nice weekend and I will see you again in my new video the next week Friday

Bye
