See you later, Father.

Produced and Directed by Park Chul-soo

Don't hang around the coffee shop all day long.

You've got to fix the pedal.

Farewell My Darling

-Good, right? -Yes.

-Let's try once more. -Let's begin and move out the way.

I'll go after I test it one more time.

Do we need the slate?

-Pardon? -Do we need the slate?

No, let's just do a run-through.

All right!

Standby!

Ready...

-Can you put it more effort? -Cue, cue!

You can feel the rhythm. You can touch it.

-Call from home. -Okay.

-Rhythm is about... -Hello?

People are supposed to move to the rhythm.

When?

Is that true?

That's what I believe.

What time?

What's going on?

Is it time to die now?

If I die here, it'll be really bad for my kids.

You bastards!

I must go home.

Take me home!

Look over there.

A man's soul is getting out of his house!

What?

Oh my, it must be Mr. Park's soul!

-Really? -Let's go there.

How much?

Are you out of your mind?

Good morning.

You're not the only son.

They know you don't make enough money as a director.

Coffee, please.

Mr. Kim, one coffee.

Why would I take a plane that's going to crash?

Just worry about yourself, not me.

Bye.

What's the matter?

Dad died.

Where are you going?

Back to Korea.

Hello?

Why do you keep calling?

It'll just take a week.

I don't want you to have to make this long trip just to go to a funeral.

Don't say anything at the studio,

just rearrange the schedule, okay?

I've just driven past Chupungnyeong.

I'm okay. I'll relax and listen to some music.

Hang up.

Day One Yim-jong, Su-si, Ko-bok

Brother! Oh, no!

I won't believe it until I see it myself.

Alas, alas, my brother.

Brace yourself.

I'll have a board for the dead ready.

Call her in Busan.

Even if she's no good, she's still his daughter.

If there is anyone who has to know his death,

let him know it as soon as possible.

We have to accept his death.

All right.

We have to understand that he's never coming back.

Let's do welcome the people from the other world.

Stop crying

and put some water on for the rice.

Hurry up.

-How could this happen? -Hurry up.

I don't believe it.

How could you die so soon?

My brother.

I won't believe it until I see him myself.

Just wait a little.

You can't go like this.

Just wait a little bit.

My brother...

Please open your eyes.

Please open your eyes.

I'm here.

Alas, my brother.

Alas, alas, my brother.

Who the hell is this?

Me?

I'm the man she lives with.

That's enough, you bastard.

What?

Chan-suk's brother?

What's with you?

Brother?

What's up?

Did Dad change his mind?

What did you say?

Who passed away?

He passed away?

I can't go.

I won't go.

You silly girl, why can't you go?

Why won't you go?

Who knows, maybe your father left you some money.

I am the chief mourner.

Father's soul has left his body,

but I'm still alive.

Now I just have to make it through the funeral.

In my mind, the camera rolls.

I shoot the living and the dead.

And once more.

Ready, camera.

Scene 17-4-1, cue!

Deokchon-ri, Gahoe-myeon, Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, Republic of Korea.

Park Man-dol is returning to the other world.

Bring a folding screen.

-Tell them to bring the folding screen! -Here.

Testing.

Is it on?

Pull hard over there!

I have an announcement to make.

One of the most respected citizens of our village,

a Young-san man,

has just passed away..

Why is the food late?

-I'll repeat one more time. -I'm going now.

Please pull hard over there.

He was the most respected in our village.

This is a great loss.

We mourn his death.

With our beautiful customs,

we'll grieve for his death.

This brings us great sadness.

I ask for your help so the family can get through the funeral more easily.

This is a great loss...

Be careful

and don't mess up.

-I got it. -Okay.

To mourn the deceased...

Hey, look here.

There's no straw sandals or steamed rice.

-Get them over here! -Okay.

-What's wrong? -Hey!

You know there are three people from the other world here.

Yeah, sure.

Then why isn't there any rice and sandals?

I'm sure I put them out.

You mean they're gone?

Did the people from the other world take them?

-Get them out here now, you idiot! -I'm on it.

Quick!

What a shame to the family!

Day Two Bal-sang, Jeon, Bu-Go

Since I'm in charge of the funeral,

I'd like you to cooperate.

Prepare your hearts and get ready to work!

Modern ideas are all well and good,

but you'll make fools of yourselves

if you don't respect tradition.

You're right.

From now on, you have to obey.

-Yes, understood. -Okay.

First of all,

you're supposed to be the chief mourner.

But since you've lived in the city for so long,

you might not know how things go here.

I think your brother should do it.

He should be the chief mourner.

Right, absolutely right.

And there are a lot of things to take care of.

We really have a lot to do.

What's this all about?

How ridiculous!

Man-dol, Man-dol!

You're a bastard, Man-dol!

You were so young.

How could young man like yourself die before I do?

Get up! Now!

Calm down.

Bring water quickly!

Here it is.

-Over here! -Pour it over there...

Be careful of your hand.

-Slowly. -Slowly.

Take your time.

Give some meat and a glass of alcohol.

Give me a glass, too.

The fish is so fresh.

You're so vulgar.

Don't go overboard.

The vegetables are...

I'm sorry.

Oh, did you see it at Mr. Kim's yesterday?

Yes, I did.

Oh my, his shows are so fun...

Here's the portrait.

Here is the portrait of the deceased.

The portrait of the deceased is here.

You're early.

Enough.

Where should I put this?

-Put more fire over there. -Okay.

-Go that way. -Come this way.

Thank you for taking so much trouble.

Please help yourself.

Has the sister-in-law arrived?

Not yet.

What about the rice cakes?

-Pardon? -The rice cakes.

Nine liters of rice will be enough.

We need to make Kimchi.

Do it however you want.

Why are you always in the way?

Oh, you little trouble-maker!

He had such a great time when he was alive.

What else could he want?

I heard he went to the karaoke bar

with a girl who works at the coffee shop.

Stop that kind of talk.

Oh, how could this happen?

Hey!

We haven't gone into mourning yet.

It's not time to bow.

We have certain procedures to follow.

We need manners!

Okay, got it.

Goodness, young people...

Here comes the aunt from Daejeon.

My poor brother! No!

My brother! This can't be!

-No, No. -Hey, Malja...

Say something please.

You were widowed at an early age.

Life must have been hard on you.

Hey!

My poor brother!

-My brother... -Just look.

Pull yourself together.

Save your tears for later.

-Okay, Malja. -Hey...

Calm down.

Oh my...

What do we do...

Oh my goodness.

With her here from Daejeon, this really sounds like a house of mourning.

Now this looks like a house in mourning.

You should never stop crying in a house where someone has just died.

There are plenty of people here to cry.

Where is everybody?

Hey, bring the tree!

Bring a crisp and straight one.

You're finally here.

Have you been busy?

Come on in.

All right.

He has no shame.

He's living openly with this young woman.

But he does know how to make money.

What does he do?

He runs a fabric shop.

I should have married a man who runs a fabric shop, too.

-Yes. -You're right.

How did it happen?

-Brother! -You can't come in here with your hat on.

Look, it's me, your brother Pal-bong.

Everybody hates me since I'm just a half-brother.

But you took care of me...

But you took care of me like a real brother.

Let me bow to you.

Hey, we haven't even washed the body yet.

You don't know how it goes, do you?

It's not time to bow yet.

Why not?

Who's this?

I don't care about the proper etiquette.

Are you out of your mind?

Who cares about etiquette?

I just want to bow to my brother.

Let me do it own my way.

-Brother! -Okay, do whatever you want.

Hey!

Hey!

When did you get here?

Hey, stop crying.

Brother.

Oh, hi.

Yes, I'm here...

Have a seat. You too.

Have a seat, too.

You must have had a long trip.

What was the title of your last movie?

Love... something.

The Love of the Decade?

Right. "The Love of the Decade."

Hey, Uncle!

Hey, Uncle... -Do you need anything else?

This insurance is fit for your age.

This is for preparing after your retirement.

It is really cool.

And...

Would you like to appeal?

Let me know if you need any money.

Bo-hwa, put your hand like this.

Okay.

Hey! -Smile.

I need to talk to you.

Can we talk later?

How about us?

Okay, come here.

Look at the camera.

One, two, three!

Look at the camera.

One, two, three!

Hey, how does your mom?

Like a model.

-Do I? -Sure.

Let's go.

Let's bow.

You don't have to.

A silent tribute is fine.

What that picture?

It looks awful.

There must have been other pictures taken the last time he went to Seoul.

Who's she?

The oldest daughter-in-law.

She is?

You can't mourn him or you won't?

Sincerity is more important than formality.

What's she saying?

Sincerity!

Sincerity?

Alcohol always tastes best at a funeral.

Alcohol always tastes best at a funeral!

Could I have a cup of soju?

Could I have a cup of soju?

Since you seem to be having a hard time,

I'll buy an insurance policy from you.

What kinds do you have?

Your daughter must be the apple of your eye.

Of course.

She's so cute.

There's education insurance for your daughter.

Life insurance for yourself or love insurance for a married couple.

-"Love insurance?" -Yes.

I can underwrite a large policy for you.

Okay, I'm fine with 10 million won or even 50 million won.

Anything will be all right with me.

-Thank you. -No problem.

-Have another drink. -Thank you.

Stop. You've had enough.

What's wrong?

I have to drink on a day like this.

That's right.

Have it your way.

Go ahead and drink.

Where are you going?

Hey!

Since I'm the first daughter-in-law,

I always feel bad when I can't help.

I'm still living with your son,

but you understand.

Otherwise, I might have left him.

You know what's going on more than anyone else.

You remember how it was when he went to Seoul the first time.

He had nothing...

I know.

Mom!

What's wrong?

I hate the toilets in the countryside!

You really don't have a choice.

What goes around comes around. You take something under the table...

Well, there's one guy who can't get out of the mess he's in.

What else could I want?

If I can rake in a billion won, what could I want?

Just a billion? You can go higher than that.

Don't say that.

You'll end up in jail.

A billion... A billion... A billion.

Bring another glass.

Hurry up and cut it.

All right.

Didn't his mother take him?

How can that brat show up here

when she ran off and abandoned her own son?

My sister-in-law was a very good woman

to look after that fatherless boy.

You're expecting a baby,

why don't you just take a rest?

I have to get supper for my father.

-You rest. -Why are you so late with his supper?

You know he gets angry when he's hungry.

It'll be ready in a minute.

And make sure the guests have enough to eat.

Put all of it out for them.

Don't worry. Everything is under control.

Be careful with the food.

It would be a shame if anyone were to get sick.

Don't worry about it.

There are three family members here,

so everything will be taken care of.

Let's go inside.

-I really appreciate this. -It's my pleasure.

Don't worry.

They didn't make the shower room yet.

But it wouldn't even be hard to put it in.

We don't have to shower every day like you do in the city.

We have clean air out here.

I know you have a hard time here.

You don't have to be so defensive.

Who is Mrs. Song from Seoul?

Who?

Mrs. Song.

Isn't that Mr. Park?

Mrs. Song. Isn't she here?

Hello, there's no one with that name here.

Wait.

Hello, Mr. Kim. It's me.

Don't you have a policy that finds a wife for an old bachelor?

What kind of woman would marry a man like you?

Sit down and have a glass.

That looks delicious.

What are you just looking at it for?

Don't you want to try it?

Where's my wife?

You mean you're looking for a wife?

No kidding!

Is she on the swing?

In a house of where someone has just died, he's looking for a wife.

-Hey! -What?

The soap opera is on now. Let's go.

We need to watch it!

Is it already time for the soap opera?

The kid is so discouraged because the mom is so cold-hearted...

There must be something wrong with that girl.

Who the hell wants to live with his mother today?

Please be quiet.

Please be quiet!

Can't you see that we are watching TV?

Let's watch the news. Switch the channel.

That's a good idea.

What's this?

Former Pres. Chun was indicted...

Put the responsibility on...

Funeral Announcement

Here, this is 70 thousand won in bank certificates. Count it.

This'll take more than a few days.

Let the people at the publishing house do that.

Who writes everything these days?

I don't care.

This is the way it has to be done.

-Do the best you can. -Yeah.

Nobody's going to come this late.

Have a drink and then get some sleep.

I'm all right.

We'll be busy tomorrow.

As soon as Chan-sae gets here in the morning,

We'll wash and dress the body and put it in the coffin.

I imagine a lot of people will come by.

A shroud should be cut big.

Yes.

When my father-in-law died,

I had so much trouble because the shroud was too small.

That will do.

Wasn't there a call for me?

I don't know.

When are we going home?

We just got here.

Well, what about the car?

Car?

I'll take care of the car.

Where have you been?

I went for a walk.

The incense gave me a headache.

I was looking for you.

Did you win some money?

I failed. I lost so badly.

You don't have any luck.

Don't drink too much coffee.

Day three Sup, Ban-ham, Yuen, Yip-Gwon, Sung-Sok-Je

We have a long way to go. Let's get started.

No.

Let's wait.

I got a call from my youngest son.

He just arrived from America. He's in town.

Let's wait a while.

Okay.

Here, have a cigarette.

He'll be here soon.

That might be bad luck for the funeral.

The water to clean the body is cold.

Heat it up.

Okay.

He's coming.

Give it to me.

He's here? Give it to me again.

The sooner the better.

May I wash the body?

-Is everyone here? -Yes.

Let's get started.

Why didn't your sister come from Busan?

Never mind.

But she is still your sister.

Mother.

Oh, Chan-sae.

-Mother! -Chan-sae!

Look who's here.

Where's your wife?

It must be a nice place to live over there.

You look good.

Hello there.

You must have had a long trip.

Not really.

Hey, stop all that crying.

Welcome home, Chan-sae.

You know who I am, right?

Why is there so much noise out here?

You can talk later.

First, we have to take care of the deceased.

Go inside and look at your father.

Yes.

Let's go inside.

Stop crying.

I was so surprised at all that shooting.

Nobody disagreed.

Stop crying.

Oh... my brother.

Stop!

You're bothering them.

Please wash him thoroughly.

He has a long way to go to get to the other world.

Don't you know that these days there's a bathroom in the other world?

That's right.

Don't talk nonsense.

He trimmed his nails too short.

He cut it too short.

Put the trimmings over there.

Be careful.

This is good.

Don't talk that way.

Be careful.

Be very careful.

Should I lift it higher?

Do you need help?

Yes, please.

-Please help. -Okay.

If you accept Jesus, your soul will...

-What are you doing? -Our Father, who art in Heaven...

I'll never understand how you could become a Christian.

What are you saying?

Nothing.

Put the clothes on properly.

Let's put on the socks.

Let's put them on.

We're through with the clothes.

Bring us a comb.

Here.

They bathed you and combed your hair.

You are so handsome.

Your father looks so handsome.

He really is a handsome man.

His good looks must have caused you a lot of trouble.

Hey, stop that.

One hundred rice bags.

One thousand rice bags.

Ten thousand rice bags.

Now he's rich.

Now for the glass bead.

What should I do with the money?

The glass bead's enough.

He can't take the money with him. It's too heavy.

Okay.

Come in and say your final goodbyes.

You're so lucky...

Your beloved second daughter-in-law

made a cloth for you, brother.

You'll have to get rich in that world

and then buy back the land you sold here.

Hey, what are you doing?

He has a long way to go.

Give him some money.

Take care of yourself.

Bye. Take care.

There isn't a place where I can cash a check.

Give him cash.

Really?

Goodbye.

Take care.

Here's the cash.

What did I do wrong?

How did I hurt you?

You should have told me.

How can you leave us like this?

What is this?

You haven't even seen your grandchild yet.

You can't leave us.

How can you leave your loved ones like this?

How...

could you...

Stop crying.

Did everyone have a chance to see him?

I said stop crying.

Stop. Stop.

Calm everyone down.

Let's put him in the coffin.

Stop crying.

Rest in peace.

You, rest in peace.

Otherwise, he might not make it

all the way to the other world.

Get it good and tight.

Be careful. Don't hurt him.

Shut up, if you don't know anything.

What?

Easy, easy.

Be careful.

Now you can do your lamentations.

The coffin is too narrow.

That's better than too wide.

What's that?

It's better this way.

Better?

Oh, I smell something burning.

Over here.

One, two, three!

Write something at the bottom of the picture.

Right, right.

Memorial Service

Now everybody goes into mourning.

What did you say?

I said, "Now we go into mourning."

Is the table ready?

-Yes, it's all taken care of. -Okay.

Why aren't you dress for the mourning?

This is mourning.

What?

She said she is wearing mourning clothes.

Never mind.

She's not the only one.

Look at the third son.

More and more people want their own way.

Calm down.

Let's get started.

What's this?

Anything wrong?

Look, you shouldn't put imported fruit

on the table for the dead.

Bananas are good for you.

He'll like them.

No imported fruit!

Never!

Well, they've already bought them,

so let's put them on the table.

-It's okay. -No.

You know about the fuss caused by the Uruguay Round of the GATT talks.

-What? -The Uruguay Round.

Uruguay? Is that good?

Bad.

Bad? Get rid of them.

I'll get rid of them.

Open it, so that his soul gets in.

Yes.

I may get in the habit of crying.

It's normal at a house in mourning.

You're right.

Help yourself, brother.

We are all guilty.

We wouldn't have to weep

if we had been good enough to him when he was alive.

Stop crying. Get ready to meet the visitors.

We don't have time for this.

You boys, bow and that's it.

Hey, why aren't you bowing?

He's a Christian.

What?

Christian.

Chris tea?

Here comes a National Assemblyman.

A National Assembly man is coming.

Who? A National Assemblyman?

Yes, a National Assemblyman.

Welcome here.

-How are you? -Please come in.

-Hello, you're here. -Please come inside.

You've gone through a lot of trouble.

Yes, I got it.

He's campaigning.

He used to just send his secretary with a flower,

but these days he's busy visiting people.

Democratic Party National Assemblyman

I know he's very busy during the campaign,

but he'll have time to consider an insurance policy, won't he?

I'll talk to him.

-Thank you. -You're welcome.

And you know, there are many voters here.

Thank you very much.

New Korea Party National Assemblyman

Put it here.

What do you think you're doing?

What a coincidence!

Which of his campaign pledges did he keep?

None.

Who the hell do you think you are?

What the hell is going on?

You two leave now!

This is not a boxing ring.

People in this village don't give a damn about politicians.

Get out!

Ladies and gentleman, we want change. Now!

Ladies and gentlemen, don't support the opposition party.

They change from friends to enemies over night.

They can kill you.

What is this?

I'm sorry.

This is all crap!

-I'm sorry. -Get out of here!

-Get out! -I'm sorry.

Here comes Mr. Lee from Daegu.

Who is he?

Dad helped him out when he was in trouble.

He has a business in Daegu.

Is he rich?

That's what I heard. Alas, alas.

Hello. Hello?

I know you have suffered a great loss.

Thank you.

We're having a funeral.

What's up?

Sons of the deceased, come over here, please.

What kind of a chief mourner is that?

You don't have any idea how to behave.

What? "Thank you?"

This is my first funeral, sir.

Do you have another father?

You have to learn.

Here, I brought the note.

Repeat this.

"""With my faults, """

I have brought this on my father."

"""With my faults, """

"I have brought this on my father."

"You came a long way to offer your condolences and to console us."

"You came a long way to offer your condolences and to console us."

"Even in our deep sorrow, we appreciate the effort you've made."

"Even in our deep sorrow, we appreciate the effort you've made."

-It is a bit long, isn't it? -Yes, it is.

Well, just say,

I'm sorry to cause you so much trouble.

That's much better.

Now, let's do it again.

I know you have suffered a great loss.

Sorry to cause you so much trouble.

Good.

When you are doing the lamentations,

don't forget to pull in your stomachs.

And say, "Alas, alas."

Do that.

Alas, alas.

What's going on?

They've started the lamentations.

It's done now.

Here comes the president of the Farmer Cooperative.

This way, please.

Go ahead.

Good to see you, Mayor.

-Thank you. -Well done.

Good to see you, sir.

Please go inside.

Hello.

Good morning, Police Captain.

Good morning, sir.

There certainly was a good turn-out for the funeral.

Why are there so many people?

Alas, alas, alas.

Is it good?

Okay, okay.

Hey, hey!

Hey, what is this?

You bastard!

What the hell are you doing?

Let him go. You bastard.

You bastard!

Hae-ri, phone call from Seoul.

Okay.

I've lost count out of pots of soup I've cooked.

What appetites!

Now let's see you do whatever you want.

I can't just let a little boy like you disturb a house in mourning.

Are you not going to have a glass?

I'm tired.

Why don't you pour a drink for yourself?

Byung-seok, what happened to all the food?

Okay, on my way.

Hey, we need more soup over here.

Thank you, Mr. Kim.

How's my clothes?

Cut, cut!

This is the first scene...

Remember you're going to a funeral.

Don't you think it's time to start crying?

Damn... Let's do it again.

Oh, I see.

Let's get it right this time. Where is the car?

I sent it back.

The picture would have been better with the car.

Well, it's too late now. Start over there around the corner.

-From there? -Yes.

Don't forget to cry as you walk along.

All right.

-We'll start over there. -Okay.

-Start crying at the corner. -Let's cry.

Don't mess it up.

-Go for it! -You make us look good.

Start!

Oh my God!

How could this have happened?

Those are the waitresses from the coffee shop.

I can't believe it, sir.

What's this?

What the hell are those waitresses doing here?

No wonder he died with all the black coffee he drank at the coffee shop.

Oh, yes.

Did you know that he and the waitresses...

Don't be silly.

Uncle would never do such a thing.

Why?

Please stop that.

What?

What's wrong with letting them offer their condolences?

Here's a cup of black coffee for you.

Have a cup of tea, too.

This is your favorite herbal tea.

Okay, girls. Let's bow.

He looks much handsomer in the picture.

How could you just leave us like this?

Do you know how much we miss you at the coffee shop?

Cut! Let's do it again.

That was terrible.

Raise your back a bit.

-What are you guys doing? -That's better.

What the hell is going on now?

I appreciate your coming,

but you've gone too far.

But we're going to all this trouble,

so we can remember him better.

The video will help people remember him for a long time.

What did he say?

He said it was a good way to remember the deceased.

There it is. Hey, you!

-Where, where? -There!

Little boy, please bring me my shoe.

Hey, boy! Stop right there!

Hey, wait!

Oh, no! My car!

The last thing you told me

is that you love me.

I know you will never come back

but I want to know the truth.

It you are going to leave me, just do so,

but don't make me cry.

Go out and stop them. Are they crazy?

They can't sing when a house is in mourning?

What do they think, this is some cheap club?

A house in mourning should be busy.

This is good.

What did he say?

He said, "Leave them alone."

A house in mourning should not be too sad.

Ms. Lee, sing another one like that.

Ah, right!

Sing another one with a good beat.

Why don't you sing Mr. park's favorite song?

Okay!

Okay! One, two, three, four!

A slow south-bound train

makes its way through the rain

The rain is falling

and so are my tears

I've lost my first love

I don't know where she is

When I met her then...

I didn't see him.

She had no words...

He's good at having fun.

I've never seen a house in mourning like this one.

You could hurt someone with that.

Please mix in some cold water.

I like the person from then!

You know, you really look beautiful through the lens.

You really think so?

You stand out among all those people.

Really?

Have you ever thought about becoming a model?

Of course I have.

I love posing for the camera.

Really?

That is...

Perfect!

Bo-hwa!

Mr. Park...

Hey, what's with you?

It's my fault.

-What do you mean... -I killed you.

Wait, are you saying that you killed him?

Are you crazy? You must be drunk.

You did not kill him.

Hey!

Why are you suddenly being like this?

What's wrong with you?

You know, a while ago...

What did he say to you?

If only I'd done what he wanted...

Which is?

If I'd just slept with him once,

he would've lived another ten years.

She's out of it.

Come to your senses!

Uncle!

-Mr. Yoon, control yourself. -I killed him.

I'm a murderer.

What did he say?

It was important after all.

What was?

He would be alive and well

if I'd repaired the pedal.

What pedal?

Yes.

Hey, Mr. Yoon.

These pedals don't stop.

They need to be repaired.

You hear me?

Or You can't hear what I'm talking about.

Can't you see I'm busy?

Stop bugging me about those stupid pedals.

I'll get to them when I have time.

It's not your fault.

Don't blame yourself.

It was important, isn't it?

Yes, it was. The pedals of a bike are very important.

Let's go.

Let's go while

there's still some food and drink left.

Whoever wants to leave, let's go.

What?

Look as much as you want!

Don't cry.

When can I cry, if not at my father's funeral?

You think I haven't been a good enough son, don't you?

Not at all. I know how you feel.

Once when we were having a fight,

you said you gave in to me because you didn't want my parents to worry.

You looked like an angel.

If being an angel were that easy,

everyone would be one.

When you were a college student

and I was hanging around with no job after only graduating from high school...

I don't want to hear anymore.

It wasn't your fault.

Look. As the future head of the family,

your brother has to have a college degree.

Chan-gil,

you'll just have to wait until we're better off.

Dad, does that mean I don't have to go to school?

I'm much happier as your wife

than I would have been as a nurse.

I should've asked Dad to sell off the last rice paddy

and send me to college.

If you'd done that,

we might not have gotten married.

You think that would've worked?

There's land that is fairer than day

And by faith we can see afar

For the Father waits over the way...

What the hell is that?

Dad wasn't a Buddhist.

Why are you playing a sutra?

What?

You'll see.

My prayers will make him happy.

Ba-woo, what were you doing in there?

Come here. Did you have supper?

You can't see Grandpa anymore.

Let's go and fix you something to eat.

Chan-gil.

I'd like a word with you.

Okay.

Does my husband own land here?

What?

We've been getting billed for taxes for years.

I forgot to ask Father when he was alive.

Oh, this...

Yes, it's ours.

If it's a problem, I'll pay it.

As you know, your brother has no interest in this kind of thing.

But I'd like to know what's going on.

Actually, it's not much.

Since the family owns it and he's the oldest,

it's sent to him.

Then, why...

Stop it, Hae-ri.

That's enough.

You are so indecisive...

I said stop it.

What?

You shouldn't have come here.

That's it.

If that's what you think,

I'll pack up and leave right now.

All right.

Either take the kids and go back to Seoul in the morning,

or be quiet as if you weren't here.

Why should I act as if I weren't here?

Hey...

What's going on?

Now I don't want to listen.

I'm sorry, I should have told you about this before.

Chan-gil, if you have any land left here, let's sell it.

The price of land isn't going to go up.

What?

Did you come all this way to say that?

I'm such a lucky woman.

Sure I am.

I've lived long enough.

What else could I possibly want?

Mother, let's go inside.

It's cold out here. You shouldn't have come out.

She'll come or she'll be here tomorrow.

Dad!

Dad...

You won't humiliate me like this anymore.

You are no longer my daughter.

Dad, don't do this to me.

You know who that bastard is?

His father was a servant in this house,

and he betrayed us.

The times haven't changed that much.

A servant is a servant and nothing else.

Get out of my house!

Dad...

Are you out of your mind?

If you were just going to drive me crazy,

you shouldn't have tagged along.

If you don't take the car back, I'll kill myself right here.

Don't be ridiculous!

Why can't I be a son-in-law in this family?

What?

Who else would overlook your past

and accept you the way you are?

-Nonsense! -Chan-sook...

-If Dad's here, you're dead. -Chan-sook...

You're the one talking nonsense.

Your father is dead.

And that's why we're here.

Chan-sook!

Mom...

Mom!

Chan-sook!

It's all right.

I know, I know.

I know everything about you.

How much trouble did you go through?

How was Dad?

You'll never know how much he missed you and cried for you.

Day four Burial Service

It's chilly out here.

Did you stay up all night?

Yeah.

Go and get some sleep.

Yeah.

Your wife just left.

What's happening?

This must be a misunderstanding.

What a jerk!

This bastard ruined Chan-sook's life.

Is that the jerk?

Yeah.

Stop it!

What a fool!

You've got the wrong man.

You stupid!

You should have listened to me when I told you not to come.

Come on. Hurry up!

You stupid, come on. Let's go.

Chan-gil, you got the wrong man.

You just show up out of the blue

and stir up the whole family...

Come on. Get out of here.

Here it is.

It's time to prepare breakfast for the deceased.

Tomorrow will be a busy day.

A lot of people will be coming.

We have to get the bier ready.

Let's go inside.

Sir, I'd like to pour you a glass of Soju.

-What about yourself? -I'm okay.

I heard they're building an expressway in front of your house.

Yes.

-I wonder what they're doing it for. -Aunt, please set another table here.

The price of land will increase if an expressway is built.

Even if the expressway is built,

that is good for the rich, not the poor.

We have a lot of things to take care of

before the coffin can be carried to the burial site.

The grave hasn't been dug yet.

We'll have a lot more people coming.

We also need pallbearers.

Mother?

Yes?

How dare you...!

Where did you get that stupid suit?

You look so sexy in that mourning dress.

Sexy!

We need more hands here.

Where are the pallbearers?

Did you hear that? They need my hands.

Is everything going all right?

Who's up there digging the grave?

Don't worry. I'll take some men up there soon.

Good!

Let's just forgive him.

Here they come.

The civil defense drill!

What's going on?

The air raid siren.

Air raid? We need to take cover.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is the Civil Defense Headquarters!

We're issuing a training air raid warning all over the country.

I noticed the deceased isn't leaving.

Does he want to put the others through their paces?

We ought to hide somewhere.

Do I have to hide, too?

What are we supposed to do?

Should we take cover or not?

If you're in the Civil Defense Corps,

you take part no matter what.

Damn! The head of the CDC is here.

Nobody is going to write us up for not participating.

Time to wake up, sir.

Has the drill started yet?

Ladies and gentlemen, please sit down and listen.

This house of mourning is now proclaimed to be extraterritoriality.

Please continue with whatever you were doing.

If you were eating, go ahead and eat.

Those of you in the kitchen,

you can keep on cooking and serving the food.

He said this was territoriality.

Let's go!

If you were weeping, continue weeping.

Those of you who were mourning,

please continue.

You who were making the bier, please continue.

Go on.

What did he say?

Extraterritoriality.

Is it okay?

Come on, hurry up.

You can trust me completely.

The chief says you can trust him.

I, Captain Huh, take all the responsibility.

Have some drinks.

Come over here!

Come inside and have a glass.

Look.

Father's obituary is in the newspaper.

We may need to get some more meat.

Uncle, we may need another pig.

That's right.

We'll need it to put on the bier tomorrow and for lunch.

Catch the pig!

Catch it!

Hurry and catch it!

Nice shot!

How dare he shoot the gun during the funeral!

It was a nice shot!

He has skills.

Nice shot.

Remember, the gall bladder is mine.

-What did he say? -He said, "The gall bladder is mine."

-Is it his? -Yes.

He turns the funeral into a hunting ground.

You!

Little punk!

This way, please, sir.

Come this way.

Do you know the gentleman?

No, I've never seen him before.

That's strange...

You stay and wait here.

Yes, sir.

Hello.

Sir, do you remember me?

-Who is he? -I don't know.

I'm seeing him for the first time.

Mother, do you know a driver named Yoon?

What?

-A driver named Yoon? -Yes.

Dad!

Dad!

Something's happened.

What's all this about?

Dad, the car is gone.

-The car is gone? -Yes.

-Where is Mr. Yoon? -He's gone too.

Are you sure?

Chan-woo, go home.

He's got no place else to go.

He'll be back.

You bastard!

You destroyed this family.

How dare you come here!

Why haven't you been struck by lightning?

Yoon, the driver? That bastard!

What brings you here?

What did you say?

That's Yoon, the driver.

-Mr. Yoon? -Yes.

You bastard!

Please calm down.

How could you do that to my brother?

Please calm down.

So you are Yoon, our old driver?

You finally came back.

I'm so sorry.

I would have come back earlier,

but I couldn't face him.

I want to make amends for what I did to you.

Let's just forget it.

Forgive him and rest in peace.

We can't undo the past.

Let's just forget about it.

Forget about it.

-Mr. Kim! -Yes?

-Bring that here. -Yes.

I know I have no right to ask you to forgive me.

It's full of money!

It's money?

Haven't you ever seen money before?

How much is it?

It's sure to be well over a hundred million won.

Excuse me. I'd like to look over it, too.

As far as the amount of money is concerned,

it's far less valuable than the land this family once owned.

You need to do something with it.

Let's put it in the farmer's cooperative.

Everybody, back in your places.

Do you think we have all day?

Now my journey to the other world begins.

I won't be able to come back.

Let me see my sons for the last time.

Where is my oldest son?

They're looking for you, Chan-woo.

Hurry.

Uncle, is this really necessary?

-Chan-sae. -Don't be silly.

The funeral rites console the family of the deceased.

They allowed your father to take a last look at the house,

and they gave the neighbors a taste of the food.

All that ensures your father his place in heaven.

You know, our ancestors always had a reason for each of these procedures.

Don't be sorry for my death.

Take good care of your mom.

Where is my second son?

Where is my youngest son?

It'll be the last time.

Where is my daughter? My poor baby.

It's so sad that he didn't get to meet the son-in-law.

You, take this!

Let me see my son-in-law before I leave.

You fool!

They're here to send their deepest condolences

Feel free to stay as long as you want and then leave.

You behaved just as you should have as Chan-sook's older brother.

That's the way it should be.

You must be very tired.

Are you okay?

The baby has been very quiet.

You can't stay out here like this.

Let's go inside.

Fire! Fire!

Oh my! It's a fire! Fire, fire!

Maybe it's the ghost of the deceased.

No, it isn't. Is a ghost that big?

No way.

Uncle Pal-bong's car just seems to have caught on fire.

Stop it!

Don't do that.

Don't lay a hand on that child.

Stop it!

What are you doing now?

What are you doing now?

Please let him go.

He's also your father's son.

He's your half brother.

Don't hate your father.

Day five Bal-in

Brother...

Brother...

Now you can stand up.

With this, all the bad luck in this house will go away.

Stay well, I'm leaving.

Your mother went through lots of difficulties

The female members of the household should now stop following the coffin.

Please leave!

You must not follow any longer.

Mother, give those to me. I'll do it.

-Is the baby asleep? -Yes.

That's okay. I'll finish up.

No, it's okay.

Cut!

Very good.

Hello.

It's me.

The job's done.

I'm on my way home.

You know Ms. Oh, the writer?

Please call her.

Thank you.

Nat Reviews: 5 Seconds of Summer's Youngblood - Duration: 7:35.

Hello once again everyone and welcome back!

I am Nattie and this is Nat Reviews, the series where I take a look at some piece of media

(music/shows/etc) and give my thoughts on it!

This week around I hit a bit of a snag, I don't know what to review, so this week around

I am going to be pulling a song off the Hot 100 and taking a look at it.

Okay, let's see what we got here... hm, this looks like something we could take a look

at!

Alright, so I believe we'll be taking a look at 5SOS' Youngblood!

I haven't taken a look at the Hot 100 in a few months to be honest or really listened

to the radio itself much.

I just go on YouTube or Spotify and find random music to listen

to.

I have missed out on this song for much of the year it seems.

It's been out for most of this year and yet I didn't hear it too often except for tiny

bits at the beginning or end on the radio.

Now I shall listen to it fully for once.

Let's see how this goes...

Now, I have heard of 5 Seconds of Summer before, when they hit it big back in 2014 and all,

but I haven't really sat down and listened to their stuff entirely.

So I have begun to correct that mistake, I just now listened to Youngblood in full

a few times.

I will try to keep things short and not go to full detail on the song, but I shall give

my best.

Okay, so the song starts off low but quickly ramps up in the chorus and from the first

chorus on, the song maintains a mid tempo energy.

I actually quite enjoy how the song sounds, but I can't be the

only who notices how much the song sounds like I Don't Know Why by Imagine Dragons.

Like seriously, it's eerily similar.

If this wasn't a review, this would definitely be a Nat Compares of this song

with that one.

In fact, they are so similar, I am not the first to notice!

There is even a mashup on YouTube!

(Linked below)

I am sorry, even when I am not trying to review Imagine Dragons, they creep back into my videos.

But yes, the songs sound verrry similar.

I will move back to Youngblood now, I will get to the lyrical

content but first I wanna say a few things.

I think the vocal delivery is really good, I really do like this song, it'll definitely

be stuck in my head a good while.

It kinda reminds me of Shawn Mendes.

The chorus is really big and epic, I enjoy it.

Now, lyrically, what is the song about?

Well, it's about the up's and downs in a relationship.

Now, I know the other week I 'complained' about love songs being so frequent on Imagine

Dragons' Origins, but I don't hate love songs, they can be great!

This song here, it's one of those great ones.

It actually has more depth than a lot of those songs did, and I enjoy it!

Thats as far lyrically there is, you can find out yourself, I linked the song below.

But I am not done yet, I have one thing I wanna point out.

Anyone notice how often 'Youngblood' as a term is being

used in music lately?

I can't be the only one to notice.

Off the top of my head I can think of a few, Green Day's Youngblood, this song, and Fall

Out Boy's The Phoenix all mention Youngblood.

There are also quite a few others, here's a list of just a few of them.

Okay, so about the music video.

Well, there are two of them.

One 'Alt Video' and another which is the one I shall be focusing on.

The Alt Video is just stage performance footage really, the Official

Video has more for me to go into here, thus I shall be looking at it instead.

Okay, so the official video is about an elderly Japanese couple in their last moments remembering

when they were young during the Japanese Rockabilly movement.

I find it to be very cool to get a peek into that kind of culture.

I have a few thoughts of my own about it, but I won't go into it here.

However, the video is quite entertaining to me and I quite enjoy

it just on it's own.

The video plays the last moments of their lives through their memories and the video

ends with them 'running out of time' and thus they pass away, having enjoyed one last memory

of being together as their youthful selves.

It's a very touching video to me, and perhaps the best couple in a music video since Justin

Timberlake's Mirrors video a few years ago.

I hadn't been so involved in a video like this in a while as well, so all the positive

points for the official music video!

However, we have reached the end of the song and all the directions I could talk about

it, so let's find out what my overall thoughts are!

-CONCLUSION-

Well, I actually really love this song, perhaps one of the best of 2018!

Sure, I may not have listened to a lot of the new music of this year, but ones I have

listened to, usually weren't my taste.

I do notice a trend of rock acts either making it big for the first time in years, as in

acts making comebacks that are successful.

Or rock acts that were huge in previous years turning out a flop

song or album.

5SOS are the second act I notice that had a first single for their 2018 album perform

lowly but their second single be a smash hit.

The other being Panic! at the Disco (don't worry, I will

be taking a look at them real soon) I have no idea what may be the cause of this trend,

but eh, I found it interesting.

This song will certainly be making my awards show at the end of the year, it's definitely

a fave of mine, even if it's already late in the year as I find out about it.

It gets a A+ from me.

It's refreshing to hear a song with so much cool energy from

it, even if it sounds similar to another song I know.

I won't take away points there.

Seriously do listen to this song if you're interested!

As I review it, it is still charting decently well even after

it's peak, so you likely will or have heard it on the radio or by streaming by now, but

yeah!

Do give it a listen!

Certainly!

For my first full experience with their music, if it's this maturely written lyrically and

this well produced musically, then yes!

Do let me know if you're a fan of their work, and if so, also

tell me a few of their songs I should check out!

I think I may be a new fan in the making haha.

It would appear we have reached the end everyone.

I love the song, very glad I discovered it before the year went out.

Do give it a listen if curious!

Thank you very much for watching, you know the usual

end of video stuff about liking and subbing, etc. thus I won't mention it.

However, this has been Nattie and I wish you all have a wonderful day!

Also, go out, have fun, get into a dance battle in the

middle of a Japanese city, and byebye~

Youngblood Say you want me, say you want me out of your

life And I'm just a dead man walking tonight

But you need it, yeah, you need it all of the time

Yeah, ooh, ooh, ooh

Random Acts of Kindness: Storytime - Duration: 9:31.

AAAHHH...giving. This is probably one of my favorite things in life. We do it a lot and

regularly, so random acts of kindness is something that we're all kinds of

familiar with here. It's something I think everybody should do. It feeds your

soul and takes you out at that place where all you think about is me me

me me me and into other people's hearts.

I am Wendy Valencia. If you new to my channel we are a family of three, or five

if you count my mother and father. We're on a debt free journey to pay off more

than $300,000 worth of debt. PPPPFFFTTTT. That number disgusts me every single time I think

about it. But on the upside we're well over halfway! So yeah we paid off this

much to date. Which is pretty awesome. So I'd love it if y'all would just stick

around and walk through life with us. That would be amazing.

Budget Girl invited me to participate in this collab. Which I love and I know

every single one of you who are watching already know Budget Girl, but just in case

you don't I'm gonna link her channel and all the other collaborators down below.

There's a lot of them and there are some really awesome channels doing this. As I

mentioned we give regularly. We don't talk about it much on this channel

because I believe that giving is so deeply personal and when and how you

decide to give is up to you and no one should judge you if you're on a debt

free journey or if you're not. You shouldn't feel pressure from anyone but

you to give. And in truth, if you're familiar with my channel giving is

actually how we got into debt. We took out bank loans for over one hundred and

seventy thousand dollars helping other people out. We never really thought about

anything more than the payment, but then we didn't have trouble making the

payments. We we were good financially but then we moved to Washington DC and

things started to look a little tighter cuz this place is super expensive y'all!

We decided it was time for a change and here we are and we paid off this much

money. Did did I mention..... The thing is we we have a giving category and there's

stuff in it every month but now our giving is just planned and budgeted and

we don't over give usually Christmas time is a problem for us because we have a

tendency to over give at Christmas time in fact it's usually pretty

desasterous for us. You know cuz we do our budget and then we're like well shall we

give some to this person and this person and this person and I really want to

give this item to this person and it's all more than we plan and it turns into a

debacle. But in ten years we really haven't ever stuck to our Christmas

budget but we've come close a couple of times but we are no longer struggling in

January to recover from Christmas because we're doing awesome financially.

But since we keep our giving private today I want to talk about some of the

like most significant giving that I've personally done in the past and we're

not talking about like the most largest amount of money giving I'm talking about

the most like impactful giving that we've ever done and so let me go ahead

and set the scene for you I was single and free freedom I had just moved to

Managua Nicaragua and I was a single twenty-something girl

living in the rich part of town I had a 3-bedroom 4-bath house well four

bedrooms if he count the maid's quarters I had a maid a gardener and a driver not

because as a single person I actually needed these things but because in my

role with my job it was kind of expected that I would hire these people but for

example my maid she worked a 40-hour week because that was the normal

schedule and I'm a crazy neat person look I mean there's like nothing and so

I'm pretty sure all she did all day every day was hang out and watch TV and

play with my dog and for that service I paid her $80 a month $80 a month I'm not

even kidding and when I was living in Nicaragua at that time there was a

person standing in every single intersection begging for money and I'll

tell you I don't really support Bay in any form shape or way I don't agree

with it I think there are better ways that people can get help but in

Nicaragua it was common and I was just shocked by the sheer number of people

that begged the kids that hung out in the streets and they were dirty and

hadn't showered nuts my gut kind of told me that the kids were probably a scam

and they were probably paid to be out there and every morning they went out

and like rub dirt on themselves to look more authentic but I wasn't about to

support that kind of behavior but I way to work that very first day there was

this mom out there with her son and he was obviously had Down syndrome and I

had no clue how old he was but for some reason I was immediately drawn to them

as a couple I saw them on the way home and I saw them on the way to work and on

the way home the day the next day and the day after that and the day after

that I really wanted to get them some money but I didn't think pocket change

would actually help them so I never gave them any money but every day as I drove

by I smiled and waved at the boy kind of like a I see you I know you exist sort

of wave he clearly loved his mom and I'd often like see her sitting on a milk

crate with this ginormous kid sitting on her lap she looked tired and I knew she

had a rough life so over the years that I was in Nicaragua they grew to

recognize me I mean look at me I have blonde hair and blue eyes and they're

not really common in Nicaragua so I pretty much stood out like a sore thumb

but every day as I drove by I'd smile and wave I never gave him any money and

I actually felt really bad about it because I felt like I had developed a

connection with them but I had a bigger plan

so after more than three years there when it was time for me to leave the

country I moved to Colombia where I'd meet Maurizio eventually I moved into a

hotel for a few days the hotel was located on the other side of town so I

knew I probably wasn't going to see this mother and son

again and so the day before the movers came to pick me out I went to the bank

to get cash I had planned from very early on that rather than give them

money every day I was going to wait until one of my last day is there and

give them a hundred dollars so I took it out that money from the bank and I put

it in an envelope and I went to a local toy store and bought the boy a wooden

airplane he never really had anything to play with but while he was out there

he's just kind of hung out and didn't really do anything so I thought maybe a

toy would be cool for him and I really wanted to give him something too so as I

went home that day I came to light and I smiled at the woman and I kind of like

waved her over this is the Nicaraguan way of saying come here and I stuck out

the envelope and the plane of the window and and I handed it so the woman in the

light change and as I drove away I could see her open the envelope and she had

this stunned look on her face and basically I figure I had given her

what she earned in at least a month maybe even two or three and imagine how

you would feel if somebody handed you your monthly income as just a kind

gesture so I don't know whatever happened to her I left shortly after

that and I obviously never saw her again I don't know if she's still out there on

that street corner I don't know if my money helped her I honestly I don't even

know if you know it was a scam but I don't think so and and I have a pretty

good scam meter so I hope that my little gesture made some sort of impact on her

life and I hope it helped her in just a tiny way and truthfully I know this is

all selfish because it made me so happy to help her just like it makes me happy

to help everyone except a see in the next one

see yeah we're out

Tanki Online V-LOG: Episode 194 - Duration: 8:06.

In today's episode, we'll showing how overdrives work.

We'll also be telling you about how TO Mobile will be reaching new countries,

and congratulating the winners of the Clan Championship.

Hello tankers!

As we explained last week,

Viking is still preventing Overdrives from being released.

Our programmers are trying to resolve the issues as quickly as possible,

but in the meantime, here's what you can expect from Overdrives.

Let's start by looking at the overdrives one by one.

As you might already know, Wasp's Overdrive is a bomb.

The effect and damage from the explosion,

is similar to that from the meteorites we had in Astronauts day and UFO day.

The bomb explodes 5 seconds after being planted.

It's great for getting rid of enemies who are chasing you,

or clearing the way for a gold capture.

Unlike mines, if you plant a bomb, it will not disappear if you're destroyed.

Hornet's Overdrive ability marks remote enemies.

This makes it possible to predict the actions of your opponents,

making you even deadlier, especially when playing with a Railgun.

Indicators disappear as you approach the enemy.

At the same time, you can see the enemy health bar.

Hornet shares this effect with the whole team,

which makes the hull perfect for team-captain positions.

Additionally, when you activate Hornet's overdrive,

your turret ignores all resistances against it for the duration of the effect.

Now, you can have a laugh at your enemy's 50% protection.

Hunter.

Its power debuffs opponents within its area of effect,

stopping all active supplies and putting them in cooldown.

This is the perfect counter to a team of enemies

raiding your base with a full supply set.

The overdrive affects not only enemy supplies but also their overdrives.

So it can disable Wasp's bomb, Hornet's vision and so on.

Moreover, Hunter also de-energizes your enemy's engine,

stunning the tank and leaving it immobile for a brief time,

which is perfect for stopping an enemy from escaping with your flag.

Viking's overdrive increases the firing rate for the equipped turret,

which makes it great for clearing the enemy base

as your teammate moves in to steal the flag.

For turrets like Freeze, Firebird and Isida, where the firing rate cannot be increased,

the overdrive increases damage instead.

Magazine, area-of-effect, and overheating turrets

lose their disadvantage for the duration of the overdrive.

So, Freeze gets an infinite energy gauge,

Hammer gets a bottomless magazine, and so on.

Dictator's overdrive is simple.

It's the one we've had in the game up until now.

It provides a full set of supplies and health recovery,

and plants a mine from your tank, as well as from your teammates close by.

Only the visual effect will change.

Titan's overdrive plants a protective field generator when activated.

This field enhances the defence of all friendly tanks within its radius

AND REPAIRS everyone under the dome.

Of course, anyone who moves out of the area of effect, loses its protection.

And if you're sporting a 50% protection module AND sitting under a protective field,

your enemy's shots will do nothing more than tickle you.

And finally, Mammoth's Overdrive,

which makes you indestructible for the duration of the effect,

with the added benefit that anyone touching your tank, explodes.

Of course, with great power comes great… lack of speed.

Yes, you'll be tough and unbeatable, but also as slow as a tortoise.

The new overdrives will bring to the game

a level of variety that is difficult to compare with any other update.

This means that a mistake on our part could bring very painful consequences,

which is why everything needs to be tested a hundred times… and then some.

So some of you might be thinking,

Guys, we appreciate the enthusiasm, but no, Overdrives are still not ready for release.

As they say… the devil is in the detail.

As for challenges, we were planning to launch them in November

so that the first one would end in December.

But there's been a change of plans.

We've decided to push back the date,

so that the first challenge starts a little closer to the New Year.

That way, the holiday action will be included in the challenge.

TO mobile news.

The sale of Early access bundles has REALLY picked up speed,

and we've almost reached the finish line.

Once we reach 10 thousand sales,

the rewards will increase by 50 thousand crystals and 5 containers,

plus the special Photon paint,

which is currently only available by purchasing the bundle.

At the same time, Mobile Tanki is about to spread into new territories.

Next week, we're planning on releasing the mobile version

in the remaining European countries, with the exception of the CIS,

which includes the countries in this list.

This will be the penultimate step before TO Mobile gets a worldwide release.

eSports news.

The 11th Clan Championship will go down in history

as the tournament where the top places remained undecided till the very last minute.

Five clans fought tooth and turret for the coveted title:

WooDPeckers, Peppers, Penguins, Synergy and Eternity Advanced.

Eternity Advanced and current double champion clan Synergy

clashed violently in the Grand Final.

The confrontation lasted ten heated and intense rounds in five formats,

but in the end Eternity Advanced ripped the victory from Synergy

with a slim, one-point margin.

If you missed the livestream for the Grand Final,

you can find the link to the recording in the V-LOG's description,

as well as an article about the championship.

Alongside the Clan championship,

we also had the conclusion of the group stage for the SandStorm tournament.

The winners of each group will now meet in the Playoffs,

and the draw will be broadcast live this weekend.

Want a piece of the action?

Get your team together and start practicing.

Tournaments are always running!

Last week, you had to shoot a video on the theme "How Alterations help me".

Let's watch the best entry.

For next week, let's see some gold captures.

It's been a while since we've had that topic.

We're looking for beautiful, spectacular, NON-STAGED gold box captures.

So the theme is "how I caught the gold box".

Make sure your video is shot in a matchmaking battle,

and that you're wearing the Red paint.

That's all, folks!

Next week, instead of the V-LOG, we'll be having a livestream.

We'll be discussing the latest updates, the upcoming New Year's promotions,

and handing out promo codes.

See ya!

Last week, we were opening containers

and you had to guess what would drop from the final container.

The correct answer is D, the Prodigy 2.0 paint.

Here are the winners.

And here's the new question.

Bule mencoba makanan NUSANTARA | Foreigner trying Indonesian food at streetfood festival - Duration: 10:41.

I am Marissa Iskandar and today I'm in Northern Jakarta to try new Indonesian

culinary and I have another foodie lover joining me today

this is Nick

hey guys

he has a food & travel channel called Nick & Helmi

and today we are at Mall Kelapa Gading at La

Piazza at the Jakarta Street Food Festival and we are gonna try really

good indonesian street foods and there's a lot of dishes he hasn't tried and me too

so we're pretty excited and actually this is a new friend and honestly when I

first met you I thought you were Filipino

no wow

I get that a lot but I'm

actually from here I was born in Jakarta so but I'm now based in Sydney but I'm

excited to be back and you know actually it's funny now

somebody who's not from

here is showing me around so this is gonna be exciting

because I haven't been

back here for a long time so I'm so excited to eat a lot of my I guess

traditional I grew up with you know

let's go check out that food

all right

what did he just call me cik (a chinese sister) :/

all right

already Nick so this is Nasi Goreng Gila

why they call it Nasi Goreng Gila is because Nasi Goreng (fried rice) and it's crazy spicy basically

yup I love chili if you guys you know seen my videos I love chili so I am excited to

see how spicy this is gonna be

and for me I'm like learning how to eat

spicy food so this might be a little bit too much

it's a bit of a trade-off

here yeah

hahaha alright I love how they gave you some Kerupuk

yeah that's so nice

some crackers here

I'm gonna eat it like that

okay

wow it's really hot

so lets toast to eating Nasi Goreng Gila

alright, lets do, cheers

selamat makan

cheers

mmm....

Wow that is intense

it feels really peppery

I feel the heat

yeah

it's really peppery

I can definitely feel the heat

yep

woaaa.... wooaa....

that's good thou but really really good

really tasty

yes its not to spicy so

it also has chicken sausage a little bit of carrots

and they were making it with tons of garlic so I can taste the garlic flavoring

and then I also put the sweet soy sauce which is kecap manis here

and give it a

sweet taste

and egg as well, yes

I just love the Nasi Goreng , the Indonesian Nasi Goreng

its one of the best foods in the world

yeah and you could never go wrong with eating Nasi Goreng

mmm... no

its rice Indonesian people we got to eat rice

okay so we've got our otak-otak right here, yea

this is made out of mackerel

fish as well but the way they cook it right is they put it on a charcoal grill

and then they just they put banana leaves on top of that so you can see how

how crispy the banana leaves have become

yeah it's pretty interesting the presentation

but the way to eat it is actually with this sauce here this peanut sauce with

some kecap manis(sweet soy sauce)

and a little chili, yea

hahaha....it's looks really spicy hopefully its not to spicy

if its Indonesian it's spicy basically

definitely everything is spicy here and if it's not spicy enough they don't like it

what about the your food back home is that spicy ??

um I think everything is very salty and sweet, okay

yes western food

look at that

otak-otak

now you really have to work for it opening it

hahaha...

woaaa... it smells nice

it does smell really good

but it is a really hard opening this, it is I made a mess

yeah

this is very sticky inside here see that very sticky

yea dip it in

have you ever had tamales?? mexican tamales??

no.....

okay so this actually looks like mexican tamales

add some more, no thank you, I asked if

you would like more tamales

yes

that's what I thought you said

that I eat back home in Texas

okay, the presentation wise

but it more the color is more white and tamales is more like a golden

brown color okay and it's also tamales are usually wrapped in a corn husk and

this is a banana leaf

WOW so its a little different

mmmm....

that is so soft

wow but the chili

hahaha... yeah the sauce is really nice

that peanut really just coats, yea its so nice

the peanut with the chili the kecap manis really coats it really really well

the sauce is really smooth I think so some peanuts sauces there a little bit more clumpy

that's right this is actually very smooth

very smooth the texture I like it, its really good

I know its so hard to describe it

its just so good , so good

I mean look at me I already finished basically all of it haha...

so

Nick what are we gonna try ??

we're going to try the RAWON right now

yes, right here

whats neat about Indonesia is every city and every province they specialize in their own

dish

right there are just endless of different options out here to be honest

its endless

so we ordered the nasi rawon

is that how to say it?? RAWON

rawon, rawon,okay I can't roll my r's

so its a little dificult for me to say

I've never tried this as well

and but this is apparently a Surabaya

traditional dish here

it's black beef soup

and I think they use black nuts to

make this soup

the soup is really dark as well

and the soup is supposed to have

this kind of nutty kind of taste

which I'm dying to find out

it's smells like soto right? it smells so good yes

almost like a soto, yes like soto

here we go

they've got a lot of fried shallots in it as well there

ooo... wow.... look at its beautiful

mmmmm.......

it just melts in your mouth

its so good right ??? so good, the beef is so tender right?

very tender

because they cooked it over night as well

so its so tender

so juicy as well

and that soup.... oooo... I love the broth.... the beef broth soup

ya... its so good.... so tasty

its so flavorful

you can feel that really nutty flavor as well

yes, yes I can taste it... you really really do...

really it's amazing

maybe I'm not gonna share this with you

hahahaha.... just joking....

lets go for the salted egg, ya

so in the whole rawon rice

dish here is a lot of toppings

alright you got the tempeh

you got salted egg

you got the beef here

the perkedel, perkedel that's right

the mash potato fritter

okay, lets try

damn that is SALTY

woa..hahaha...that is salty

you have to mix it with everything else

you have to mix it with rice... thats right... and potatoes but the tempeh is so crunchy thou I love how everything

complements each other

perkedel

its really really good

its kind of like mash potato right

mmmm...

thats good

its really good

cendol is a traditional Indonesian dessert made with green jellies mixed with

coconut milk and topped with various fruits

so much stuff underneath, I know

you got a big bite of the cendol... ya...

mmmmmm............

oh it's so nice

ooo the tapai is really sweet

alrighthy Nick so overall what did you think of this cendol Indonesian drink ???

ahhh... it brings me back home really it's like a very nostalgic feeling you know

good to be back home

I know it's a short trip but it's so good to have my

traditional dish again

nice so thanks for showing me around

oh thank you

I didn't even know about this event so it's great

yeah it happens at least every year and they

have so many good Indonesian food vendors that you can choose from and try

wonderful Indonesian dishes... thats right

that's right

hahahha....

for me overall this drink

was just a nice drink to cool down it was very good

very

creamy and then with the jellies and sweets and I love the texture of the

jelly actually

yep I love sweet stuff

ok guys this wraps up the food culinary adventure today here at the Jakarta

Street Food Festival

thank you to my good friend

Nick for joining me today

thank you...I love it it's amazing

yes and check out

Nicks channel I'll link it in the description below

its called Nick and Helmi
