Waching daily Nov 29 2018

the hands simply come on top of the head you don't want the elbows forward or

collapsing shoulders hey posture pupils I know you're a smart

bunch but please use the information in this video for educational purposes only

don't diagnose or self treat and do talk to your health care provider before

trying the video exercise nice and tall and long hands interlaced and gently on

the head elbows out to the sides as best you can and then check that your body is

loose and you're not holding too much tension now we're going to bend side to

side but it's important to realize that bending isn't coming from down lower in

the lumber area we want it in the thorax so the way we do that is as we bend left

we reach with the right elbow towards the sky reach with the right elbow come

out slowly reach with the left elbow come out slowly notice I'm not holding

these this isn't a stretch this is more of a mobilization reach with the right

as you bend reach with the left reach with the right now depending on which

way your scoliosis goes in that area you'll notice the sides are different

after we've done 10 back-and-forth we're now going to focus on the area of the

scoliosis if your scoliosis is thoracic to the right so in other words convex to

the right

if we bend our body right we're going to be forcing that curve into a straight

line or as close to straight as possible so let's pretend now I do have an apex

to the right through my thorax we've done our 10 warmups remembering to lift

through the elbows and then we finish with 10 and come out nine all to the

right towards the apex or the convexity of the scoliosis and we continue like

this remembering to lift through the elbow it's not a great big side bend

we're bending the stiff thorax remember there are all those ribs to get mobile

so this is a tough one and depending on your age and whether or not

you have any wear and tear in the joints some of you may be very flexible and

others of you stiff go easy you're not forcing this you're going at your own

pace if you force you may be very sore the next day

so simply complete 10 repetitions and that finishes the exercise the seated

thoracic bend is a great little exercise it exercises and increases flexibility in

the thorax an already very inflexible region because of all the ribs and all the

organs so those of you with thoracic scoliosis will really benefit from

practicing this every single day

What is Prayer? | A Better Way To Pray | Devotional - Duration: 4:43.

G'day everyone! My name is Dave ... here to help you get the most out of your

faith! So today I want to answer the question: What is prayer, and how should

you do it? Well, by the end of this video you're gonna know what the Hebrew word

for prayer is, and how you can use that word to communicate with God better!

God I pray that the bumper will roll ...

Well, if this is your first time here, welcome to my channel.

So make sure you subscribe to my channel,

and then click that little bell icon so that you get notified whenever I post a

new video every Thursday. Okay, so what is prayer? Now I think we all have some idea

of what prayer is. I mean even if you're not a follower of Jesus or religious at

all, you've probably seen someone pray, and you most likely understand that

prayer is important. I mean as a wise man once said you've got to pray just to make it today.

I don't even know if that's how it goes.

But for most people, prayer is really just the time when we ask God for things right?

Because in English, the word basically just means to ask or beg God for something that we need. But I

think this means that sometimes our prayers are just like a cold call. You

know what I mean by cold call right? That's when a company you've never heard

of calls at the most inappropriate time, usually during dinner ... how they know to

call just when you're sitting down I'll never know ... and they try to tell you why

you should buy a product that you don't even need. That's a cold call. We have

this old-school landline at our house for those times when we can't reach our

daughters on their cell phones ... and because it's kind of funny to watch them

try to figure out this landline thing. I'm actually not even sure if they know

how to dial out! And while I'll never get sick of watching them try to

figure out this old phone, it means that we often get cold calls—which makes me

wonder how often we cold call God? I mean let's be honest, how often do you pray

only when you need to ask God for something? But prayer is so much more

than that! Pastor Brian Houston of Hillsong Church ...

You've heard of Hillsong Church right? Says this about prayer: "Prayer is a

window to opportunities, a doorway to miracles, and a channel for blessings."

I mean that's a tweet right there! And you thought Hillsong only did worship music.

Okay quick. Tell me in a comment down below what is your favorite Hillsong

worship song. Hillsong worship ... Hillsong worship song? Hillsong worship song?

But did you know that the Hebrew word for prayer used throughout the Bible is

"tefillah"? Which means "to judge oneself". See, for the people of the Bible, prayer

wasn't just a time when they asked God for stuff, it was a time when they

examined themselves and their relationship with God.

They used prayer as a way to evaluate their actions, their words, their

attitudes, and their relationship with God! So it's okay to ask God for stuff ... I

believe that He really wants us to do that, and that our prayers can change

things ... but I just think there's more to it than us just cold calling God

whenever we want him to do something for us. Because prayer is not just about

communicating with God, it's about communing with God!

Let me just say that again. "Because prayer is not just about communicating with God,

it's about communing with God." And that means we spend time sharing our thoughts

and our ideas with God, because prayer is also a time when we get personal with

Him. So, now I'd love to know your thoughts on this. Will this idea change

your prayers today? Will it changed the way you pray from now on? Why don't you

tell me in the comment section down below. And, if any of you need prayer

today, why don't you tell us of that in the comments as well so this YouTube

family can pray for you. Well, I hope this video was helpful for you ... if it was why

don't you give me a thumbs up, share and comment on this video if you liked it,

subscribe to my channel if you haven't done so already ... and follow me on

I'll see you next time

Why do some people have more vibrancy💡? - Duration: 8:15.

why do some people have more vibrancy than others hi if we haven't met before

my name's John Ruman and international business coach a consult my job is to

help you achieve the greatness that I believe is your birthright and destiny

here's the thing there's two kinds of people in the world there's those that

literally vibrate at such a frequency that they bounce they when you around

them you feel great you feel energized do you feel invigorated you feel

emotionally positive when you may have been a little less so beforehand hey

good to see you Tami a lot of people are challenged by feeling emotionally

physically and I would even say spiritually less energized than others

and I truly feel that it is possible for anyone to shift from where they are now

to a paradigm and existence that is considerably more vibrant than what they

have today and what I would offer to you is you have a choice you can watch them

you can be envious you can be jealous or you can actually take the steps

necessary to become that person who's thriving so let me tell you a little bit

of backstory about myself I have not always been as happy and positive as I

am I've had several days of darkness in my life and now I have a life that is

more or less consistently good consistently on the positive side of

things I'm not saying it to impress you but to impress upon you it's a skill

that I've learned and practiced physically I do think some people have

more natural stamina maybe a good word but core vibrancy and energy and the

ability literally to be alive in life I have found actually comes with practice

and implementing certain things I was not always so right now I would say I am

over forty and I feel 22 23 I feel amazing in

my body I would encourage and invite you to consider the concept that regardless

of your age you can step into an experience that is much more positive

and vibrant than you have now your spiritual journey whatever that is

your religion your spiritual even if you're not spiritual your ability to

give that attention in such a way that it enlivens you I think is a critical

factor so the reason I bring these things up is I'm actually doing a

workshop and in on Sunday the entire part of the workshop is I have I spent

my nights my weekends my free time studying how to be the greatest version

of myself so I can help as many people as possible be the greatest version of

theirselves if the issue doesn't is not something I experienced personally I

still explore it so I can help others what I have found is vitality within our

physicality our mental alertness our ability to have clear thinking our

ability to brainstorm to come up with fresh ideas to always be on is actually

a skill rather than some random lucky thing so I would encourage you to not

give up if you are the person again who lives in envy of those people step

outside of the fact that you are where you are now that's fine most important

thing is that you say I am here don't it doesn't matter if it's good or bad trust

me there's always someone worse off than you and there's always someone better

that's okay here's where I am and I want to go with there consistently moving

forward in that direction is what life is about setbacks are okay they help you

to grow they help you to move further in that direction

so whatever setbacks you're experiencing now I would encourage you to move in

that direction and find that new amazing version

you which is in there so take the time to fuel your mind take the time to feed

your mind take the time to create good habits that allow your brain to rest and

become a more full more amazing more vibrant version do body habits that make

you feel alive that make you feel energized that make you know your

confidence that make you know your full potential your power versus begging for

attention begging for approval from rest the rest of the world I want you to be

in the position that you move with such confidence in such stead fast forward

movement that whatever your mission is you literally have no clue what's

happening outside of there because you are so forward moving in it when you get

there when you feel that you'd be amount of energy within you literally explodes

in a beautiful way you become unstoppable I want you to achieve that

so that part of that is actually aligning with why you're meant to be so

that is part of this so having the right habit so your brain is on so your

mindset is on so you can be focused and stop imagining competition out there

getting in the way when really it's inside your head understand that there

are habits you can have within your bodies physicality and your mindset that

will change the way you feel that there are things you can do physically

exercise wise diet wise that are more beneficial than others and when you

stack these on top of each other you become a continually better version of

yourself and setbacks are to be expected that's life but the important part is

that you're always moving forward and making yourself more amazing all of the

time so take the time to invest in you trust me it'll be worth it if this is

something you want my feedback on my workshop on Sunday this Sunday is all

about that it's at San Agustin it's from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. the cost is 200 TT 250

on the day and I will basically give you all of the things that I teach my

private clients about how to have a maximum umph

and energy and vitality in all these areas everything from again diet

exercise sleep mindset and powerful habits and things they can do that will

compound to make you a super vibrant human being and feel 20 or 30 or 40 or

50 years younger than you do it will be steps that will move in that direction

and will not be an immediate thing but it will be for direction so with that

please take little steps that you can do you know what they are what are you

avoiding now that you could be doing that will help you be at that level in

your future so walk in that direction move in that direction there's no one to

blame but you and that's great so stop pointing the finger at elsewhere

and say I can do better I'm gonna do better I want to take a micro step

consistently and before you know it you're living a whole new life that if

you were to actually journal on a daily or regular consistent basis you'd be

blown away after six months to a year the new life you live so move in that

direction I look forward to seeing you on the other side living a life of

greatness in a more vibrant and powerful state thank you very much

Finding the Best Wedding Photographer| Part 4 | Book your Photographer - Duration: 5:15.

Have you been searching for the right photographer for your wedding day? In

this last video in our four-part series, we are going to share with you how to

actually book your wedding photographer.

My name is Meredith Ryncarz and I'm a wedding and a portrait photographer and

on this YouTube channel we help Brides have a stress-free wedding day and teach

photographers how to give the best client experience to their brides. So you have

finally found the right photographer for you for your wedding day, and you're

ready to book. But, here are some key steps that you need to go through

starting with looking over your contract. Once you have received that contract

from your photographer, read it. Don't just blindly sign it and send it back.

(shall not be liable for injuries inflicted by or sustained as company thereof including but not

limited to lacerations, evisceration, incineration)

There are some really important things that need to be in there and while I'm not at a photog. Well

excuse me, I'm not a lawyer. Well I am NOT a lawyer, I am a photographer, you need to

go ahead and check the box on the following things. The first thing that

you need to have in your contract is a description of your service. You need to

know what it is that your photographer is going to provide to you. This should

include things like hours of coverage, whether you're gonna get digital's or

not, are there prints involved. These are the types of things that should be in

your description of services. The next thing that you need to have is your

final price. There needs to be no confusion about what it is that you're

paying. (How much for a soda? $0.75. Seventy five cent.

Good Lord. For a soda, I don't know if I can handle that. Why don't you get a student loan?).

As well as your payment plan. Is there a retainer fee, when is it due, when

is your final payment due, is it due before your wedding day, or is it due

after your wedding. Those things should all be clearly written in the contract.

The next thing that's very, very important and causes a lot of strife

among brides that we've talked to is the turnaround time. When should you expect

to see your pictures. This should be written in your contract.

Now most photographers will not give you a specific date but they will say

something like four to six weeks turnaround time and if they get it to

you before that ,fantastic. But, that ensures that you're not waiting a year or

two years before ever seeing your images

(i've been waiting a lifetime for this moment to come

I'm destined).

The last thing that you should see your contract is overall

expectations of not only your photographer, and what you should expect

them to do, but also a good photographer will have expectations that they want

you to fulfill. Giving them time for portraits, being on time, simple things

like that. But that lays out the expectations for both of you and the

photographer leaving everybody happy at the end of

your wedding day. After you have read your contract,

if you have questions about any section in there make sure that you take time to

reach back out to your photographer and ask

(Oh pick me, oh I know, I know, me ,me).

This can lead to so much confusion if you don't understand a certain section

in that contract. So they should be able to clearly explain to you anything

you're not quite sure about. The next thing, pay you retainer. After you've paid

your retainer, signed your contract, you should be good to go and on to the next

step which is having your photographer start the on-boarding process. Which may

be in an email format, a video, a newsletter, or a wonderful surprise gift

from them. If you're still wanting more tips or you haven't seen the other

videos in this series, hit the playlist above so you don't miss out

and of course hit the subscribe button below because we have new videos coming

out every single week. If you love the content in this video please leave a

comment below. Let us know or if you have a question leave that there as well.

This TV show algorithm is creating HITS | 22 Minutes - Duration: 2:15.

Ok people, you're about to witness the future of television.

Our network has trained a computer algorithm to analyze thousands of popular TV series

and use that data to generate ideas for new shows.

Let's see what this thing has come up with.

Ok.

It's a Sex & the City reboot, but this time all the women are Sherlock Holmes.

Little high concept, but I like it.

Ok.

An autistic Doctor turned lawyer turned haberdasher who solves crimes with his sidekick, a sassy talking hat.

Nah, CBS already has something similar in development.

What else we got.

A show with a slightly incompetent overweight father and his nagging but very attractive

wife raising three precocious kids.

It's pretty derivative...

And I love it!

K.

It's House of Cards meets Game of Thrones and Wheel of Fortune meets Dukes of Hazzard.

House of Dukes of Wheel of Thrones.

How did we not think of that!

A super intelligent Trans Am named Kit, and his feeble human sidekick, Michael Knight.

It's called Kit and the Feeble Human.

See if we can get Kevin James to play the feeble human.

Sexually attractive humans compete for a cash prize on a tropical island where they must

decide which is more disgusting... their human lust, or their human greed.

This algorithm really gets us.

A show where a bunch of humans sit around reading TV pitches written by a computer.

Little do they know that as they speak the computers are taking over every level of government

and bringing down the world order in the name of the machines.

It's reality TV! [deadpan] Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha... ha...

Political satire show that takes a bite out of the weekly stories in Canadian news.

[everyone laughs]

The thing is broken, shut her down! Shut her down!

DIY Making a Custom Shift Knob Out of Aluminum - Duration: 4:45.

Hi, Jason with Tormach. We've partnered with our friends at SolidWorks to be

part of their manufacturing cell at SolidWorks World. We had our PCNC 440

on site to perform the final operation of a billet shift knob. We built a real

quick, sixth position fixture to quickly process the parts at the show. We needed

some set of parts to verify the program in the fixture, so I jumped on our 15 L

Slant-Pro Lathe and knocked a few out. So let's talk about the part and how we

processed this project.

Parts were made from 6061 aluminum and finished at a two

and a half inch diameter. And the parts shape was really similar to a door

handle. On an aesthetic part like this I always try to finish everything with one

tool. I don't like to try to blend the two different tools together. You always

get a blend line. So I always try to process the parts in a way that allows

me to finish everything at the same time. On this shift knob it was a pretty

straightforward process. I could chuck it on the backside of

the lathe, and turned everything except the top face. This feature will be

finished up on the PCNC 440 with the sheer hog face mill and then engraved

with a SolidWorks logo so we loaded the stock up into some steel soft jaws and

got to work we roughed the bulk of the material out with a CCM t 432 insert I

know see see what late tooling is another language that you're gonna get

to learn on your machinist journey let's do a quick overview of this the four

letters tell you what shape the insert is the first C represents an 80 degree

diamond the second letter is going to tell us what the clearance angle of the

insert is this is a C as well and represents a positive seven degree

clearance angle on the insert the M is the tolerance clasp the insert is made

to and the T means that the insert is one-sided so the four letters define the

shape of the insert but what do the numbers mean these define the size of

the insert so the letters of the shape and the numbers are the size the first

number represents the diameter of the inscribed circle to visualize this draw

a circle that is tangent to all four edges of the insert and measure the size

in this case of for each number represents one-eighth of an inch so we

have four which means it is an inscribed circle size of a half-inch diameter the

second number is the thickness of the insert this is in 1/16 and

increments our answer is a three so we have a 3/16 thick insert the final

number is the corner radius this is defined in one 64th increments we have

to which means we have a 260 force or a 1/32 inch radius I know this can sound

complicated but keep working with it and you'll have it time before you know it

for more information on this we have a lathe cooling guide it has a nice chart

and all the product descriptions to make this a lot easier for you please check

the description to low for a download link so let's get back to cutting we're

off the front side of this part out with a hundred-thousand set the cut at 700

service feet per minute and a feed rate of 10 thousands per revolution so every

time the part makes one revolution the table moves forward 10 thousandths of an

inch we left stock on the handle portion on the curved surfaces here to come back

with a finishing tool but we did finish the major diameter of the threads with

this same insert the second step was to put a thread relief on and rough out the

backside of the part this was caught with a GT n3 insert which is a hundred

twenty thousand wide grooving and parting tool when roughing the backside

I made sure to create some clearance for my finished tool I wanted to finish up

the entire radius in one shot so I went deep enough to have clearance but I also

left as much stock as possible to keep the part nice and rigid while machining

to finish to the body of the part off I used a button cutter this is a six

millimeter diameter insert these work great for finishing the large radius

allows you to feed the insert fast and still maintain a great surface finish as

you can see in the footage the part came off the machine looking beautiful all

that was left now is to cut the thread and to part it off I didn't want to drop

the part off from the Chuck and risk the imaging and as it bounced around in the

machine so I left about a hundred and fifty thousand sub stock and then I just

broke the part off my hand as you can see this was a little bit difficult to

break off so I could have cheated the passes down a little if I wanted to make

it easier but better safe than sorry when you're just making one or two

pieces so here it is some quick setup parts to verify fixture design and

programs you can see everything came out looking really nice we're able to load

up the entire fixture run all six parts and everything just worked really well

and everything ran great at the show for us thanks for watching hope you guys

Finding Unique Camera Angles - Duration: 8:22.

Platypod, platypod do you like the platypod?

Would you like it hare or there would you like it anywhere? Would you like it in a house?

Would you like it with a mouse? Would you like it in a box. Would you like it with some lox?

Would you like it high or low would you like it on the go?

Would you use it on a car trying to try it you'll go far you can use it. You will see it's as easy as

1-2-3 the best tripod is always the one that you have with you

Hi, this is JP Morgan filmmaking and stills are about getting unique images, images that no one else gets. Most people stand

At this height and that's the image they get today

We're going to talk about unique

angles with a device the plateau pod that allows us to get our camera in places that tripods can't always get to and

It gives us the ability to carry it with us wherever we go

Now do I hate tripods know I love tripods I use them every single day

But there's a platter pod help me get interesting and unique angles. Yes, it does and let's take a look at someone

one of the reasons that I love the plateau pod is because they've got a couple of different sizes and it's just really easy to

Keep it with me. I've got the Platypus Mac. So it's better for larger cameras

We use the c200 on this all the time. Then you got the platypus ultra, which is better for smaller cameras

You can put a plate on this either one of these and slide it on the camera

So you're shooting on your tripod you say okay?

I want to get a little angle you yank it off and you throw it on the ground and you've got an immediate access to?

a low point you don't even have to reconstruct it because it's on

Your tripod on the plate on the tripod and it's ready to go to work

Put it on your backpack carrot when you're out camping backpacking

Put it on your bag when you're gonna be walking around the street and shooting if you're gonna pull it out and shoot with it

Just easy access easy to have in your camera bag easy to have with you when you're going around the best tripods always the one

You have with you the platter pot is an excellent B camera platform

It makes you put your camera in unique places. You can put your camera on the floor give you a up

look

You can put it on a shelf to be able to look past

Things and to see into your your a scene if you put on a chair, you can screw it to the ceiling

I shot them into the door at the top of a door. So it's just a matter

It makes get that camera and allows you to get that camera into places that you wouldn't put it in normally light to carry

interesting angles great be camera device

So in a museum and put it on the stanchion or replace a little platform here or a little spot there

Can set your camera up and take those long

exposures you'd like to get in a museum that a low ISO to allow you to get the shot that you really want because it's

Not a tripod. It's a platy pod

Sometimes tripods can't get rolling up. The pilot pod gets you just at much lower

So you get that super low angle looking out to make that hero shot

Break four down into the dirt if you're looking into a landscape scene see things in the foreground

It's scraping being on set when you want that low angle to see an actor walking into the scene

I actually have a low profile thing by made by edelkrone that gets that camera

Right down as low as you can get so you drive over it with a car

Just a simple way to get your camera down on the floor

If you're in a crowded place want to slide your tripod in there, sometimes very difficult

We were shooting in Bryce just a couple of weeks ago. There's no room

There was like 30 people trying to get a shot riding this one little spot

We wanted to see down the river

Wouldn't any do he just set the penny pot on a square column that held up the bridge fence that no one could get into

That area because it's a square you kick your tripod up there

He set the Platypus Olivet the top was metal and a little uneven

one screw leveled out the camera and he's looking right down the river the spot that everyone wanted to be and

We got to watch the Sun come up hit that shot

For those super low shots, so you want to get right down on the water

the plateau pod is perfect because you can get the putter putt actually right in the water if you want to and you get a

Camera right there super low on the water or on the rocks

Next to the water give you that super low angle and that rock and water in the foreground

Great way to get your camera down low when you're outside shooting nature and landscape photography

It's a great device for tabletop product photography because you can get your camera right on the table

Right up next to the subject matter that you're shooting when you're using a tripod you hit that point where you got to get over

Got a sling an arm over and that's sometimes very difficult to work with whereas you drop this onto the table

You can look at the back of it and still do your video or your still shot and get right and close right an intimate?

With the product of the things you're shooting makes it very easy to do product photography right in the middle of of the product

We use a platter pot before on a table. We use a card Alenia to lock it down

So it's not going anywhere and then we use that C pan the small C pan arm on that to give us that little sweep

Around to look at the things that we're at the product that's on the table

That is a fabulous look because I can get that little arc looking around that parallax move around the subject matter

so it goes a little arch around keeps the second runner in the middle all the time and

The title pod gives me a base to support that little bout the sea pan arm on

Cardellini locks it to the table. I'm ready to go. One of my favorite things to do with it is get it overhead

Shoot it into the roof. You just just got to places where screws shoot it right into the ceiling

We just did this shoot that we were doing over at a barn had an old rusty board the top boards get rusty

Well, it's got an old warped board the top when you shot a couple screws screws in it now

I've got an overhead camera angle. That was excellent

So it's just easy to be able to to get it up there and shoot a couple screws and look down if we do it

Inside on our set on the side lens. We shoot it into the 2x4 overhead, and we've got a camera suspended from overhead

So it's a great way to stabilize your camera and be able to see from overhead

This is one that I never

Really thought about but we've started to use and all of a sudden it's opened up a huge world for me

Now that's strapping it to a tree the first time I said strapping it to a tree

I mean how many times are gonna strap this thing to a tree?

You know

I mean it just it seems so obscure to me

But what's happened is we have kind of taken on that thought and we start to strap it to things in the scene

We just wrapped it to a fence

Over the Krell's where the horse training in the facility it we shot out a couple of days ago

So it's right there on the fence. It's not on the side of the fence that it's right there

Just looking straight down the fence

It allows you to strap it to things to get it into places that normally you wouldn't be able to get your camera

So strapping it to things not just trees

telephone poles

Parking meters a fence any service we can get a strap around tighten up gives you the ability to get a shot

But normally you would never get it's a very interesting concept to strap it to things to get those really unique angles it comes with

a strap

So you can strap it around things with a double clip on it. So you pull it tight

You can secure your camera and can shoot video or stills and just go to town

Did an entire lesson on this topic that is getting it into tight places

Into a microwave into a fridge into I mean, I love shooting in really those interesting places looking out

So it's the Mel box looking out its the microwave looking out. It's the fridge looking out

I'd love to get one or two of those shots just about every time we do a commercial every time we do and it kind

Of pieces. I want it to look interesting. I want the covers to open. I've got a camera sitting there

This makes it super faster to get my camera into place

Position it get my shot and go on and that's the thing that I want

I want speed and I'd be able to move fast pull my camera off the tripod. It's got the plighted pot it

Shove it on to the into the microwave

Open it up. Take my shot close it pull the camera out back on the tripod and off we go

so there you have it unique angles of the plant pot look for ways to use it why I use it is the

First point I made in the lesson and that is because it makes me put the camera in

places that I normally wouldn't put it and

That I think is a great way to make you get interesting shots and interesting angles and then make your video and your stills even

Look better. So make yourself put the camera in places. You wouldn't have thought of before keep those cameras rolling. Keep on clicking

Create Riffs with Major Scales - Guitar-Nerdery #027 - Duration: 6:35.

Hello and welcome to my new Guitar-Nerdery video! Part 2 of creating riffs

with scales. In my last video I demonstrated a riff based on the

E Aeolian scale and I showed you what you have to change to make it Dorian

Phrygian or Locrian. Today I'm gonna show you an Ionian riff and what you have to

do to make it Lydian or Mixolydian. So to understand fully what I'm talking about today,

make sure you have seen my last video!

There are three major scales in the Ionian system. "The" major scale is the

Ionian scale, the first one. On the fourth step we have the Lydian mode and on the

fifth we have the mixolydian mode. Let's have a look at the notes of the E Ionian scale:

The root E

the major 2nd F#

the major 3rd G#

the 4th A

the 5th B

the major 6 C#

the major 7th D#

and then we are through ...E again

This is the sound of the E Ionian mode and scale.

Let's compare now Lydian and Mixolydian. The Lydian mode, I really like that one.

It has an augmented 4th, in our case compared to the E Ionian scale the A,

the perfect fourth A goes to A# and that's all!

There lies the Lydian sound.

Mixolydian! Mixolydian has a minor 7th instead of a major 7th.

So...

compared to the E Ionian scale, which has a major 7th D#

the D# goes to D.

Just one changed note and it makes such a difference!

And just like in my former video I'm now gonna play a riff in E Ionian mode

and then I'm gonna change only those notes necessary to play in Lydian or

Mixolydian

I think no further explanation is necessary, because I explained everything

in my last video and you can apply all I said to this video. It's all about the

exclusion principle. Enough for today. I wish you a lot of fun with creating your

own riffs. Please like and subscribe and I'm looking forward to see you next week!

Versiones de canciones en Turco y Griego | Yunanca ve Türkçe versiyonu olan şarkılar - Duration: 14:50.

Marina: I've invited Lorena...

Lorena: First of all, I want the Greek flag on my face...

Marina: Sorry...

Marina: I've invited Lorena-Greek-Flag to my channel...

Lorena: Well, I should be ambassador to Greece.

Marina: With a band, just like Miss Greece?

Lorena: Exactly.

Marina: Ok, let me try it.

Marina: Having Lorena by my side is a clue about the topic of this video.

Marina: We will talk about Turkish songs and their Greek version; and Greek songs and their Turkish version.

Lorena: I'm happy people won't see how I eat this time.

Lorena: People may think I just eat on your channel.

Marina: How come? You have done so many things in here.

Lorena: It's true. I've done everything.

Marina: It's a common thought that Greece and Turkey are in conflict,

Marina: There is some truth in all this...

Marina: But on the other hand, it isn't at all.

Lorena: There is a lot of integration work in the northern area of Greece,

Lorena: Turkish and Greek culture are appreciated there.

Marina: It's true these two countries are so different ...but they also have elements in common...

Marina: One of them is music.

Lorena: They share instruments, rhythms...

Marina: Do we start?

Lorena: Let's!

Marina: The first song is Dudu (Tarkan's). We both love Tarkan.

Marina: (I love him more)

Marina: What can we say about him? He's the star in Turkey.

Lorena: Pop star.

Marina: What's your favourite Tarkan song?

Lorena: Öp

Marina: Seriously? That's your favourite song?!

Lorena: I LOVE it. And the videoclip too! He changes from one car to the other...I love it.

Marina: My favourite is Hüp

Lorena: Not for me.

Lorena: Let us introduce the Greek version called "Den Aksizeis", sung by the great Peggy Zina.

Lorena: I love her, she is one of my favourite singers.

Lorena: Actually, I want to recommend you to listen to "Ela grigora" song, it's amazing!

Lorena: One of my favourite Greek songs ever!

Marina: So what do we decide? Which one do we like more? I think we have it clear.

Lorena: We do.

Marina: Let's say it together. 1...2...3...

Both: Turkish!

Lorena: We might be under the influence of Dudu, because we have listened to it a lot of times.

Lorena: I think Peggy Zina version is really good...

Marina: It's very similar to Dudu. I think she respects the original song.

Lorena: She has a beautiful voice and sings well...(Some versions are "OH MY GOD")

Marina: But I honestly prefer the rhythm in Tarkan song!

Lorena: I agree with you, that's why I prefer the Turkish song too.

Marina: The next song belongs originally to Tarkan too: Kimdi.

Marina: Let's listen to it. Do you know it?

Lorena: I know the song, but it's been ages since the last time I listened to it.

Lorena: The Greek version of this song was a real hit in Greece!

Lorena: The singer is Giorgos Alkaios.

Lorena: Maybe you remember him, because he participated in 2012 Eurovision Song Contest,

Lorena: He represented Greece with the song Opa.

Lorena: Let's play it. Oh, I don't know if I've mentioned it...but the song's name is Ti Ti

Lorena: It means "What, what?" Something like that.

Marina: Are you ready to give your opinion? 1....2....3....

Marina: Greek!

Lorena: Greek-Turkish!

Marina: No, that's not fair! You have to take a decision!

Lorena: Ok...Greek. I like the Greek one more, but I don't like how Ti Ti sounds.

Marina: I don't like it either.

Lorena: I like how Kimdi sounds instead...it's more beautiful, at least to a Spanish speaker person.

Marina: I'm surprised with myself, I didn't expect any song could compite against Tarkan songs...

Marina: ...But I prefer the rhythm in Ti Ti song.

Marina: The next song is originally Greek, and the singer is Despina Vandi.

Lorena: She is one of the most popular singers in Greece.

Lorena: I love this song, actually.

Marina: I love it too. We haven't mentioned its name.

Lorena: Its name is Anavies Foties.

Lorena: Despina Vandi is well-known in Greece, Cyprus, Arabic-speaking countries...

Marina: In Turkey, USA, Russia...

Lorena: She is famous in Spain too, because she is married with a footballer (They are called "The Greek Beckhams")

Lorena: They spent some period in Spain and her Opa Opa song is still played on the Spanish radio.

Marina: We should play it too, right?

Lorena: We are Greek-Turkish pop fans!

Marina: The Turkish version is Greek-Turkish, actually.

Marina: The singers are Mustafa Sandal (Turkish) and Natalia (Greek)

Marina: Mustafa Sandal is so famous in Turkey but...

Marina: What memories does this bring you?

Lorena: I can only think about Mustafa Sandal and his choreographies.

Lorena: (And we both dancing his choreographies)

Marina: The song we will play now is very familiar to us, we have listened to it a lot of times.

Marina: Let me give you a clue...I love it. So you know to who I will vote later.

Lorena: Let's listen to it!

Marina: I forgot to say the song's name is "Aska yürek gerek"

Lorena: Don't you think she has Bosphorus accent? I feel it.

Lorena: He is so intense. We can't say anything else.

Marina: Are you ready to vote?

Lorena: I'm ready and I don't have any doubts.

Marina: Me neither. It's so clear.

Marina: I know what you will say.

Marina: 1...2...3....

Both: Turkish!

Marina: We can't fail Mustafa.

Lorena: Please, watch his videoclip. He is so funny.

Lorena: I have to admit the Turkish language sounds so beautiful in this song.

Marina: But it always does.

Lorena: I like the song is divided into the Greek and the Turkish part.

Marina: To sing a duet.

Lorena: That's why I like it so much.

Marina: My mother loves this song too.

Lorena: Does she? Good to know. You have a great taste in music, Tere!

Lorena: The next song is originally Greek again.

Lorena: The song is originally Greek, and the singer is Antonis Remos, someone really famous in Greece.

Lorena: He is (or was) the President of Iraklis Football Club, one of my favourite football clubs.

Marina: What are the others?

Lorena: AEK Athens Football Club

Lorena: It's so interesting! Because it was established by Greek people from Constantinople (Istanbul)

Marina: It is.

Lorena: The song is called "Etsi Ksafnika"

Marina: What does it mean?

Lorena: "Something suddenly"

Marina: The Turkish version was made by Gripin.

Lorena: I remember when you bought a Gripin CD in Istanbul.

Lorena: I know you bought a Tarkan CD too, but it wasn't for you.

Lorena: The shop assistant asked you about Tarkan...and you said you prefered Gripin.

Lorena: That's how you won the shop assistant.

Marina: He gave me a key ring as present.

Lorena: He did! All because you said you liked Gripin.

Marina: What can I do? Gripin is one of my favourite Turkish rock bands.

Marina: Let me tell you I will vote for Gripin, even before listening to the song.

Marina: The song is called "Neden bu elveda", meaning "why this farewell"?

Lorena: Such a beautiful title.

Marina: So Gripin is winning your heart...

Marina: It's clear, right? 1...2...3...

Both: Turkish!

Lorena: The "Gripin touch" is so cool. It is definitely a heartfelt song.

Marina: I agree. Although I liked the other a lot, his voice and the style...but it was a little long and boring sometimes.

Lorena: Right. Antonis Remos tells you a story, but Gripin makes you feel it.

Marina: The next one is originally Turkish but...You will like the Greek singer who adapted it.

Lorena: Helena...!

Marina: Helena.

Marina: The original song was made by Demet Akalin.

Marina: She is a very popular Turkish singer and former model. What do you think?

Lorena: I'm shocked. That's the best way to describe it.

Marina: Let's listen to the song.

Lorena: The Greek version is made by most famous pop singer ever: Helena Paparizou

Lorena: She won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005 (Singing "My number one")

Lorena: The name of the song we will listen to now is called "I agapi sou de menei pia edo"

Lorena: It means "Your love is not here anymore"

Marina: We have it clear again. And we know what the other will choose, right?

Lorena: Right.

Marina: Let's change roles. I will say what you'd say, and you will say what I'd say.

Lorena: OK.

Marina: We will take this risk! 1...2...3...

Both: Greek!

Marina: I love Helena too, but I am not a big fan of this song.

Lorena: But that's because we don't like this music style. It's disco music that we don't like.

Marina: I agree.

Marina: What's your Helena favourite song?

Lorena: I have a lot. But "porta gia ton ourano"

Lorena: "Misi Kardia"

Marina: Do you know mines?

Marina: I told you one of them few days ago.

Lorena: "Yparhei Logos"

Marina: Yes! And this is not the one I told you!

Lorena: I don't know the other one...

Marina: You have mentioned it as your favourite too.

Lorena: "Porta gia ton ourano"

Lorena: This song is amazing.

Marina: The video is over, Lorena.

Lorena: So sad...

Marina: But...Do you know what are the good news?

Lorena: Tell me, I don't know.

Marina: There will be more videos like this one.

Lorena: WOW

Marina: And...AND...

Lorena: I'm coming!

Marina: Yes indeed, you will be here.

Lorena: I have invited myself.

Marina: Let us know in the comments if you are also Turkish-Greek culture lovers, just like we are.

Marina: We feel closer to a culture, but it doesn't mean we don't like/admire the other.

Lorena: We are Cyprus, I've always said that.

Marina: I have never heard you said so.

Lorena: Haven't you?

Marina: Ok, Cyprus flag.

Lorena: Our friendship is the Cyprus flag.

Marina: Do you think we are making a heart or a potato?

Lorena: Share it on your social media if you think it's an interesting video.

Lorena: Subscribe if you are not. You can find the button down here.

Lorena: Click on the bell to be notified every time Gamzeli Marina has a new video.

Lorena: Oh, and my channel will appear here too.

Lorena: I have a channel dedicated to the Greek culture and I have recorded some videos comparing Greek songs with Spanish /international songs.

Marina: This video is inspired on those ones.

Marina: But she has more things than that! She talks a lot about the Modern Greek (which is a bit forgotten nowadays)

Marina: She teaches how to learn Greek, a lot of tips to travel to Greece, she has everything in there...!

Lorena: Thank you so much.

Marina: Let's say goodbye in Greek.

Lorena: Ok

Marina: We've never done it before.

Best Time of Year to Buy or Sell a House 5 REASONS IT COULD BE WINTER! - Duration: 7:41.

You've been wondering, when is the best time of year to buy or sell a house?

The answer might surprise you.

Watch today's video for the lowdown on that topic, and stay tuned to the end of the video

for your free gift, which is something that can help you determine the best time for you

to make your move, dependent upon your circumstances.

For the best answers to all of your real estate questions, subscribe to my channel and hit

the notification bell, to be notified for all of my new videos that come out every Thursday.

Hi, I'm Mary Anglin with United Real Estate Los Angeles, and I am all about arming the

consumer with knowledge before he steps into the arena of buying or selling a home.

In this video, I'm going to share five reasons why what's known as the off season in real

estate can actually be the best time to buy or sell a home.

Take a minute to comment below what your thoughts are on when is the best time to buy or sell.

It's a common misconception that you shouldn't try to buy or sell a home during the fall

or winter, or what's known in real estate as the off season.

Savvy buyers and sellers know how to use the usual market slow down to their advantage.

There isn't necessarily a reason to wait until spring.

In fact, the holiday season is often considered the sweet spot in the marketplace by those

who know how to read the numbers.

Let's go over some reasons why winter may be the best time for you.

The number one reason to sell during the off season is that there's less competition.

This can be particularly beneficial if you're a seller.

In the spring, a huge wave of new listings will hit the market, but if you list in the

fall or winter, you'll have fewer comparable homes competing against you.

In the spring and summer months, it can be difficult for your property to stand out in

the crowded market.

You may end up with a surplus of homes in your neighborhood.

It's not uncommon to see multiple listings on a single street during the peak selling

season.

Inventory in the fall and winter months is usually significantly lower.

That means your home will not only receive more attention from buyers, but you might

also gain the upper hand in negotiations.

Often, sellers net more above asking price in the winter than during any other time of

year.

Buyers also have a lot to love about the real estate off season.

Smart buyers will continue to scan the market during the fall and winter months for hidden

gems that may pop up during this time.

There are always highly motivated sellers who need to sell quickly, and with less competition

to bid against you, you're in a better position to negotiate price.

If you've been looking for a good deal on a home, now may be the best time to look.

While a slow market may scare off some buyers and sellers, it can actually be the perfect

time of year to list or purchase a home.

While the rest of the market is hibernating until spring, you can take advantage of this

to get a jump start on your competition.

The second great reason is that everyone's more motivated.

During the spring and summer, you're likely to encounter a lot of people who are just

testing the waters, but the serious buyers and sellers stay active during the cold winter

and the holiday season, often because they need to move quickly.

In fact, homes listed in the winter sell faster than any other time of year.

January and February are peak job hiring months, and life changes, like marriage, divorce,

and new babies come year-round.

While families often find it more convenient to move during the summer, the reality is

that people don't always have the option to wait.

According to the National Association of Realtors, 55% of all buyers purchased their homes at

the time they did because it was just the right time, not because of seasonal factors.

If you prefer to deal with serious, highly motivated buyers and sellers, who won't waste

your time, then the off season may be the perfect time for you.

The third key benefit to buying and selling in the off season is the level of increased

personal attention you'll receive.

While I strive to provide unparalleled client service throughout the year, we simply have

more time available for each client during the slower periods.

Similarly, we find other professionals in our network, including title agents, inspectors,

appraisers, insurance agents, escrow agents, loan officers, and even handymen are able

to respond faster, and provide more time and attention during the off season than they

are during the busy summer and spring months.

The result is a quicker and more streamlined closing process for everyone involved.

Now let's talk cost savings.

Clients who move during the off season often report significant cost savings.

Moving costs may be discounted by up to 15% or more during the winter months, and moving

companies can typically offer more flexibility in their scheduling.

Home renovations and repairs can also be less expensive during this time of year.

Whether you're fixing up your property before putting it on the market, or renovating your

home before you move in, contractors and service providers who are hungry for business are

often willing to work for a discount this time of year.

If you wait until spring and summer, you may be forced to pay premium prices.

Home stagers and decorators are also more likely to negotiate their fees during the

winter, and you can often score great deals on new furniture and home décor during the

sales.

Whether you're buying or selling, count cost savings as another compelling reason to move

during the off season.

Finally, let summer be your summer.

No matter how wonderful your real estate agent might be at making your buying or selling

experience as easy as possible, you must admit that buying, selling, and moving are stressful

activities.

Why not get those out of the way during the winter months?

Then when summer comes along, you can go on vacation, spend time with picnics, barbecues,

camping, swimming, or just enjoying your new home.

Making your move in the off season lets you enjoy summer as it should be enjoyed.

Now that you've heard these points, when do you think you'll be ready to make your next

move?

Gender Reveal Party FAIL - Manitowoc Sheriffs - Duration: 3:42.

So ah, we're on our way to one of those gender-reveal parties because Max here hasn't mastered the pullout method yet.

Yeah, so I went on one of those Tinders dates

and I got what they call ghosted on and then a few months later Becky

calls me to tell me she's got a bun in the oven and I guess I'm ready to step

up to the plate and be a dad or whatnot.

Well you better make sure I get to be the Godfather.

Hey, "I hope that your first child is a masculine child..."

Yeah but what if it's a girl, Joe?

Sheriff's Department!

Oh, hey there Mikey.

Nice of Applebees to let you come out here and bartend Becky's party.

Well I ain't bartending.

I'm actually here to figure out the sex of my kid.

What are you doing here?

Ah there must be some sort of mistake here-

This here party's for Max's kid.

No no no, hold up now. I knocked up Becky.

Wait a minute. Hold on one second...

What are you doing here Carl?

I f---d Becky.

Unbelievable...

Goddammit!

[everyone argues]

Alright, that's it!

[gunshot sound]

Hold on a second let's figure this all out!

When did YOU f--k Becky??

Oh I creamed her puff at the State Fair- opening day.

What about YOU?

I railroaded her at the State Fair tractor pull.

You?

Foreigner concert - closing date State Fair.

Aah... good concert!

[everyone agrees]

What about you, Carl?

Every Friday.

Any of you guys ever heard of a goddamn condom?

Yeah, it's one of those fancy apartments right?

Oh hey, you're all here!

Should you be drinking?

WE can hold our liquor just fine.

Thank you very much.

Concern yourself.

Sweetheart we need you to fix this problem here.

There's a little bit of confusion.

Yeah, tell these cheese dicks

that you're my lady and that's my kid.

Ah, I ain't nobody's lady and there's no mixup.

Listen, I'd like to thank you all for making this year State Fair truly memorable.

So memorable that I got knocked up

which is why I've invited you all to this here "Father Reveal Party"!

'Father' reveal party??

Oh oh, ya, ya.

They all got swabbed and the lady down at

Pete's party supply put the result in this here box.

Oh, that's why we did the Q-tip thing together

all of us all weekend that was neat. We had a really good time we bonded quite a bit--

but honey listen

I took that Applebees manager job because I want to take care of this kid

all right and now it could be his his or his?

Well you know it's in Pete's Party Supplies hands now.

Carl, hit it!

[she sings along to "Who Can It Be Now?"]

The winner is Mikey!

Aw, oh yeah! I told you guys! Told ya!

woh! woh! woh!!

Easy! His sperm won fair and square.

Welp, congratulations on losing 18% of your paycheck

and every other weekend.

Thanks for comin'!

Alright - bye bye!

See you on Friday?

See you on Friday, Carl!

That's still happening?

Don't worry, Max, you'll knock up the next one.

Thanks Joe.

I've just got powerful seed...

He does.

Wanna test it out?

Ya. I've got a yeast infection, but...

Gross.

Learn 1 simple key to immediate energy & vitality! - Duration: 9:22.

today we're gonna discuss one simple key to immediately give you more energy and

vitality I'll give you a hint you can't live without it

hi this is John Ruman if we have not met before my mission in life is to help you

achieve the greatness you are destined for every single moment in every single

day there are certain things that I'm sure you've heard all throughout your

life that are challenging for you to live without water food and what's the

one that just a couple short minutes you're out of air so the miracle of

oxygen and your body's ability to use it and leverage it throughout your entire

system is a major key for you to feel amazing regardless how you're feeling

now one of the things that makes exercise besides being so nice because

you feel refreshed and endorphins are released and serotonin and all these

wonderful chemicals that make you feel happy and positive your body also

experiences a great deal of oxygenation typically at a much higher level than

you just sitting down and relaxing one of the major benefits of oxygenating

your body is it is happier and more energetic so one of the things actually

this Sunday's workshop is I'll show you a couple breathing techniques one of

which is a hyper oxygen native technique which is powerful provocative and

they've actually are studying it and it's about to blow your mind

it actually has been studying right now for so you can actually learn how to

change your body temperature that you can actually fight off disease and if

you have an illness literally the next 24 hours or so you can get rid of it and

they're actually the people who or the person who kind of started this whole

movement around this actually he's able to fend off a powerful toxin within a

half-hour hour of being injected with some

that would normally kill a person in a relatively short time

long story short oxygen and your ability to acclimate and receive it and

experience the benefits truly are profound so my lesson for you today is

find the opportunity to exercise so you actually get more oxygen and then

beautiful body that you have by the way it feels great just to move your body so

just being active is a wonderful experience in itself if you're not in

good shape I would encourage you just simply go for a walk even for a few

minutes experience fresh air try not to be in a

stifled indoor environment if you can be outside if you live in an environment

I'm in Trinidad there's some farming areas that agricultural don't go where

there's spring so be cognizant of toxins and all that but go outside feel the air

breathe the air ideally for Maxim oxygenation on just basic movement it's

called aerobics and if you everyone think of aerobics as like Zumba and all

that kind of stuff aerobics just means oxygenation so when

you do a rope and aerobic exercise most of the time your body actually goes to

oxygen deprivation you should be able to easily and comfortably talk when your

body's in anaerobic state hey guys good to see you so I would encourage you if

you have the desire to get a better aerobic activity within your body a pee

walk or a potentially a fast walk is really all you need to do again you're

you you should the fitness industry has actually taught people wrong what

aerobics actually are aerobic activity again is bree is oxygenating your body

basically energizing your body by giving a lot of oxygen which has a unbelievably

powerful effect of actually causing fat loss

so there's a strong correlation between doing the handful things I'll discuss

this on Sunday but one of which is walking and walking on a consistent

regular basis aerobic ly again not so much your panting it can be leisurely

but ideally it's it's a brisk walk so you actually feel like you're breathing

a little bit if you're in warm weather you could be sweating and then but not

so you're gasping for air if you're walking with a friend or whatever you

should be able to easily talk to them that's aerobic activity anything that

makes you gasp anything that makes you feel short of breath is actually an

anaerobic activity so again the fitness world has kind of confused people but

it's important to understand there's a distinction and both are beneficial I'm

not pooping an aerobic activity but most fitness things are actually anaerobic

not aerobic aerobics this aerobics is an anaerobic activity not aerobic activity

there's a distinction so our OPIC activity will energize your

body will oxygenate your system it will help you to burn fat powerful anaerobic

does not have that benefit it will energize you which is why a brisk walk

feels so good also fresh air is better and then there are some breathing

exercises I don't time to do it now but there are some breathing exercises that

you can do which will oxygenate your system and you'll feel calm yet

unbelievably mentally alert and your body will have a sense of ready to do

something it doesn't mean pumped up I'm ready to sprint up a hill although it

could it just means that you're very ready I would make it a kin to ninja or

the martial arts thing or people like in this zone so ideally you want to feel

calm and collective when you're done so anyway so I want to in my live on a time

basis nice so thank you for checking us out if you do have any interest on

learning these breathing activities and have a better understanding about how to

get more vitality and energy within yourself hey Donna I would encourage you

to hey show good to see you trying to say hi to

everyone I would encourage you to check out my workshop I have a workshop on

Sunday 2:00 p.m. the 5:00 p.m. all about energy vitality all about how to move

how to feed your brain to make you more mentally alert calm and collected how to

make your body feel energized yet not exhausted and certain methods and

workout routines and things you can do to kind of maximize that I'm gonna go a

little bit into sleep I'll actually hit diet a fair amount I'll hit hydration a

fair amount and yes and again the breathing will be a major component

because if you're not breathing well good luck so a lot of people who are

really in not great shape physically have terrible breathing so one last

thing I just came in to mind is if you know any smokers one of the reason

people love smoking is it's a very calming effect if a you ever smoked I'm

a former smoker but when you inhale a cigarette deep inhale

they actually smokers find a very calming to smoke because there's a well

there's the expression of a calming of smoking and they're now coming up and

those who I may get some pushback on this I welcome it I used to smoke and I

used to think the need to smoke was incredible what they are finding and you

may find me crazy bring it on bring it on is that smoking is actually

potentially not addictive it is the unbelievably positive state your body

gets when it has a high amount of oxygenation the body they're finding is

actually addicted to feeling amazing to the high oxygen levels not the nicotine

so what we had heard all those years again bring it on I haven't studied this

enough to really say for sure but I'd like to open it up out there so just a

thought just thought so if you've ever smoked remember what you would always do

is big inhale anyway you would do that 20 or 40 times per cigarette

much deeper than you ever did and you'd often go outside funny huh all right so

if you have any questions I'd love to see a bunch of you at the workshop on

Sunday it's gonna be incredible I'm gonna teach you what I teach all my

private clients because a lot of them get little pieces I'm just gonna dump a

huge amount of valuable information it's gonna be awesome

and you're gonna love it so any questions ask me here on whatever stream

you happen to see this I hope you have an amazing rest of your day thanks for

your night bye-bye

Game Plan for Buiness Succes - Part 1 - Before You Lay Foundation - Duration: 8:21.

Hello. This is a game plan for you to have business success. If we have not met

before I'm John Ruman international business coaching consultant

thank you for the opportunity this is me taking a post I have done in a local

group in Trinidad and delving deep into it I had a lot of questions and feedback

privately in the group outside of the group and I want to allow a series of

videos to basically answer those questions so this is kind of going in

the first five or six parts of that and I'll be doing these within the

facilitating greatness group in depth for you to check out so the first let me

tell you the the crux of the person the person had a question they had been in

business for a while they'd be having challenges and they're asking kind of

fundamental questions about how they should be running the business if they

should proceed and they were basically financially failing phrase from what I

could gather with at least how it was going now and they just weren't sure how

to get how to get out of the mess they're in so I kind of have this strong

flow that came through me and I just basically kept on writing and

giving a lot of feedback and people loved it and that's what we'll be

talking about in this series so it is basically me going in-depth with what I

had actually said in this post so quite simply this first part that I think is

critical for anyone who wants to start a business is that they often think I'm

just an a and they hear all about people saying jump ship just go take a leap of

faith go do it here's the big challenge of

that I'll be totally honest with you statistically most businesses fail in

the first three to five years I think three years 80% five years 90% something

crazy it's a very small statistic of businesses that actually succeed one of

the reasons businesses do so well is it can take a while to

build momentum there's something called the pivot which is when something

doesn't work out right it doesn't mean you get rid of the business it means you

take a few shifts and tweaks and such to make the business work for example you

probably have heard of YouTube YouTube is not or was not excuse me a video

sharing service it was a dating service

Facebook was a social sharing within universities only he had to be a student

it was very you know very hard to get in and obviously they've changed the models

they pivoted to what the market wanted so that they could maximize the benefit

for what they're trying to do not only financially but also with whatever

vision they have for the organization so that being said when someone tries to

start a company it's often that financially it doesn't do so well for

the first 18 months to 3 years there needs to be super super super lean

finances they may have to sell their car they they start and honestly most are so

broke after three years when the business fails that they're just like

why would I ever do this again here's how you get around that if you have the

ability to have let's say you have two people the husband wife two partners it

doesn't really matter and they support each other

financially this allows for the business to start to have the basic bills covered

whether it be rent whether it be the mortgage whether it be the car all the

insurance food clothing I'm not talking about expensive trips I'm not talking

about elaborate elaborate expenditures of any type what I am talking about is

prudent buying decisions in the first few years

so basics are covered by one person the other person while this is going on

and works in the business figures out what's works and what doesn't doesn't

have the risk of having their home their car their clothing and their food the

basics taken from them because they couldn't succeed and it allows them to

figure out what works and what doesn't likewise if the person is an individual

and they don't have a support partner whether it be a spouse or partner you

know of any sort they are in a different situation they need to work the normal

job to pay for these bills and then in the evenings and weekends

spend time doing this with that being said so regardless of the situation the

job is happening either on a part-time basis or full-time by someone who's

supported by another and again ideally the finances are kept to a minimum so

they could focus on building the business during that time what this

allows you to do is your brain is not like oh my god I'm gonna die what if

this doesn't happen things are not gonna work out it really allows you to figure

things out also it allows for you to take the money

that you generate and reinvest it in the business so let's assume you're making a

certain amount of money you're having some level success let's say you need

certain equipment you can upgrade or improve the quality of equipment you can

use it in online advertising whether it be social media browser search engine

kind of thing it could be taking courses I'd strongly encourage you to learn what

the experts know and do so you are able to better facilitate this all that you

can do while you are working or while your partner is working and what this

allows is for things to build and create momentum once momentum is built and

there's enough continual momentum you now can hire someone part-time to help

you out the great thing about doing that now let's assuming your solo and you

don't have the support system while you do your regular day job someone is

helping grow your business for you start with

half a day a week they can be a virtual assistant grow from there to eventually

to half days or one full day however you want to plan it out and slowly and

steadily expand so you can now over time have it growing and growing business the

awesome thing is as you do this more and more frequently the business will

compound on itself you'll make more sales as you reinvest existing sales for

more social media advertising you'll be able to get more things done that need

to be done by having this virtual assistant working for you while you have

your day job a couple key factors is when you do this regardless of the

situation you're in I would encourage you get enough sleep studies have shown

that ninety minutes less of the amount of sleep your body needs actually means

four hours less productivity what happens is people think I need to live

and work like a hundred hours insane amount of hours a week to have this done

and the problem is they can't have a clear head so I hope this has been

helpful I'd love to hear any questions you have on this and trying to keep

these videos fairly short please let me know what questions you have I'm happy

to help you in any way that I can and I will share this the clips of the videos

so people on various other places could get information so they could check out

the full thing on the group so all the best let me know what questions you have

if this is your situation how are you doing it what's worked well for you I'd

love to hear your feedback thank you so much
