Waching daily Nov 30 2018

Good morning and welcome to this month's episode of the Wake Up Date! If you're new

here, this is my monthly update series where I let you know what I've been up

to. In addition to making videos for you here on my youtube channel, I also am a

musician and I have an Etsy shop where I sell handmade things and I also have a

bunch of other ways that you can support me and so if you care about all of the

things that I'm creating, this is a really good way to keep up with me every

month. So since we are officially in holiday shopping season now, I wanted to

kind of go through and show you all of the things that you can buy from me in

various stores. I do have a lot of places where I sell things online, so if you're

confused at all about which one is which, hopefully this will help you with that.

So the first thing that I wanted to talk about is my Etsy shop. Now, I have not had

as much time as I used to to work on my Etsy shop, so stock is very very limited

there now. It takes me a long time to make all of my handmade items, so I have

a really limited amount of things to sell there this year. Which means that if

you want something, you should grab it right away if it's still available.

The main attraction over there is my line of handmade plush toys, this is the

most popular one, this is my snowy owl plushie. I love these. I do actually have

a good amount of these because I just recently made some more. I still have

some lion plushies out there for any Gryffindors or people who like lions. I

also have one left of each of these, the penguin, the otter, and the snake. I also

recently put up a few of my new barn owl design as well as this new Niffler /

echidna. Each one is a little pocket in the front and these ones are actually

larger than my standard plushie size, they're also more complicated to make

because of the three-dimensional nose as well as the pocket. So regarding my Etsy

shop, I have a one to two week turnaround time on my Etsy shop before I

ship the items. So if you live within the US and you would like for your order

to arrive by Christmas, place your order by December 16th. If you live outside of

the US, place your Etsy order as soon as possible because it'll take me a little

while to get it out to the post office and then it also will take a while to

get to your country, wherever you live. Sometimes it can take weeks, even months

for things to arrive so just, yeah. International shipping is a struggle

for me, it's expensive, and it takes a long time. But I didn't want to just not

offer it. Another place where you can order things from me is in my dftba merch

shop. This is a place where I have a bunch of designs printed and sent out from the

dftba warehouse, so they're a bit more efficient at getting things out quickly.

Mostly because they have a staff and a warehouse and I do not have either of

those things in my house here. What I do have is a toddler who makes things

very difficult to get done. The newest item in my dftba store is this Time

Turner constellation sticker! This is actually art from the back cover of my

album, I liked it so much that I wanted to have it printed on a sticker and

possibly more things in the future. This art was done by Marsupial Pudding, she's

amazing, she has a YouTube channel that you should check out. By the way, I'm

gonna put links to everything that I mention in the description below, there

also will be some cards up above if you want to check those out. It is a three

inch vinyl sticker, it's durable and super pretty. I put these on like

covers of my journals and also on my guitar case and so I hope that you enjoy

these. I also have three t-shirts currently available. If you pre-ordered

my new kindness is an act of rebellion sure which was a limited edition thing

that is no longer available to order, those will be getting in the mail soon, I

believe. But other than that, I've got them my muggle friends just don't

understand t-shirt which I designed as well as the Harry I'm coming home design

which was done by Evie Dzomba, she's super cool. I really like this one, I wore it in

one of my videos this month, and then there's also the it's real for us shirt

which is probably my favorite, it was designed by Kristine Thune. I couldn't

find my copy of this one, it's probably in the laundry, but here's a picture of

it. I have a wizard rock show coming up on New Year's Eve this year, December

31st, it's gonna be in Woonsocket Rhode Island. it's one of the house party shows

that I play four times a year. They are so much fun if you haven't been to one,

it's just a total blast, it's really intimate and lovely, you can stay as late

as you want, you can even sleep over, and you should come if you don't have any

plans on New Year's Eve and you live in the New England area. I keep an updated

list of my upcoming shows at laurenfairweather.com/shows if you

would like to come and see me perform some of my original music. Speaking of

music, the physical copies of my new album arrived, which means that I am in

the process of sending out all of the perks that folks ordered through my

IndieGoGo campaign which made this album possible in the first place. So if you

are one of those people who helped me to fund the creation of this album, keep an

eye out if you haven't gotten your perks already. So to tie up this episode of the

wake up date, I have a bunch of patreon shout-outs

to give out. This is one of the perks that you can get for supporting my

patreon campaign over at patreon.com/laurenfairweather and I super

appreciate everybody who contributes over there because it makes it possible

for me to keep making YouTube videos. So this month I wanted to say thank you to

Antonio G, Thank You Ashley Sousa, Thank You markslide,

thanks Bethany McQuiston, Thank You Roni, Thank You Saxony, Thank You Abby

Ritter, and this month I have one new patron in the shoutout category which

makes me super happy so I wanted to say a big thank you to Johanna! That's all

for me this month, also I wanted to say I'm wearing a shirt that I got from The

Lovegoods at leakycon this summer and they are super super great wizard rock

band, so if you would like to check them out, I'm going to put links to where you

can find their music in the video description below. I hope that you had a

lovely November, thank you so much for watching, and I'll see you soon!

X-keys Five Minute Friday | What's on Your Desk? - Duration: 9:52.

Hi everyone and welcome to this week's episode of Five Minute Friday. I'm

Miranda and I'm Dan and welcome back sorry we've gone for a couple weeks we

tried to get Phil and Liam to do the stream two weeks ago and we had

technical issues yeah so we'll give them another shot at it because they really

were pretty funny it was good all right well let's take a look at our streaming

gear today so obviously we're streaming to youtube we're using vMix pro version

21 our PTZ optics USB 20x camera phoenix social and we're of course our

X-keys XKE-124 T-bar with the video switcher key set. Those with the sharp eye

will notice that we've made some upgrades to the studio we put a

production monitor right behind our T-bar and yeah that's what we did yeah

that was a change yeah that's pretty sweet I like it so for today's topic

when Miranda and I first started the show we were kicking some ideas around

about what are we gonna do with doing an episode every week

you gotta continually come up well you need like 52 topics all right exactly

And Miranda had this great idea which

we are trying today and what was that Miranda? What is on your desk?

More specifically what X-keys are you using? So we interviewed one person for

today's show so Maggie couldn't be here with us unfortunately she's got the day

off so we recorded her segment yesterday and we now have it to play for you yep

so take a watch. Hi Maggie. What X-keys do you have on your desk? Hey Miranda. I am Senior Sales Coordinator I guess you want to

call it so I do a lot of customer service I do a lot of sales stuff and

you shipping stuff I even do some accounting so my desk I have my XK-24

and it actually is one of the original ones so it has been at my desk for I

think nine years that makes me feel really old

basically I have our accounting system I log in one click of the button logs me in

and launches a program I have cut copy paste which actually is something I use

all the time every time I'm in a show and I tell people that they kind of look

at me funny but believe it or not I actually use this all the time so cut

copy paste I have restricted keys actually I mean

these are both really important passwords that I actually don't even

know I get those from the main accountant so those are for our log in

out in the main credit card world that needs to be saved

I have B&H login I have a CTW website that opens up I have print I also use

this button all the time this actually opens my PDF folder where I save

everything in the entire world so and I have me um if I don't have my signature

somewhere I can click that and it spits out everything one click of button which

believe it or not saves you a lot of time and I also have our bank info so all of

our information our international information contact info one click the

button there it goes so I use that all the time I'm sending quotes when I issue

invoices so that's my X-keys and I can't do my job very well without it's awesome

if you could recommend somebody to program one key on their X-keys what

would it be? I don't want to say Copy and Paste but I mean that's probably the ones I use the most I mean while you're

doing stuff I don't know I just copy and paste probably or important passwords I

mean you can actually lock it in hardware mode too where it's not even there's no

software it's just automatically on there so no one can change it awesome

thank you very much all right yeah it was nice of Maggie to take some time out

of her busy day to tell us about the X-Keys on her desk yes and it's it's

always fascinating to me to see what people do with these things because they

do all kinds of crazy stuff with them and I love finding fun examples to put

out to show people I took a close-up of that so we can look at that so that's

print in the upper left hand corner do you know that icon

the next one I should know that but I can't think of it and of course B&H

Amazon email US post Newegg CDW her passwords Firefox Sage is our accounting

system that does all the order processing and stuff and then of course

her favorites cut copy paste and undo which I do agree I use

those on my personal X-keys all the time same here

it's crazy you would think that yeah I can there twenty other ways to do cut

copy and paste but I know where those keys are and I pound on them all day

long hmm so there's our what's on your desk

show and thanks for watching and we will wrap this up and take your

questions comments in the post show thank you for watching and see you next

week bye

and we're back we're back so pat on the back Miranda that was a terrific idea

and we will do that again I just kind of challenged the rest of our staff because

Miranda and I have like amazing X-keys on our desks I'm pretty good but we talked about them

all the time so I kind of challenged rest of our staff to up their game so we

can bring you some more of these yeah we have questions Rudy says was that a

shortcut for the phone we don't have our phones tied in with our internet system

here so I'm not sure maybe could okay thank bring you bringing her image back

up you know say yeah I was talking about which one are you talking about Rudy I

don't see a phone icon on there who has the cleanest desk that's a loaded

question that's this guy Jon is he he probably

has the cleanest desk here yes I think it depends on the day he probably does

John keeps his desk pretty clean and the rest of us get crazy what else we got

you from Clint thank you for joining us nice to see some new faces or at

least new names in the chat but we love you Rudy so don't go away come back keep

coming back and there's only comments yeah love Camtasia yeah you were talking

about Camtasia yeah TechSmith is from Okemos which is literally the next

town down Grand River from here and I've been using their software Snagit is a

screen capture software andCamtasia and they're kind of they seem to be kind of

combining the two now with Snagit having some ability to do video capture

interesting company they they make some really cool stuff and

I have a good friend who works over there so that's there they're good peeps

like their stuff Rudy heard the phone ringing in Maggie's interview oh

yes yes well you know it was live and we thought we were catching kind of a dead

part of the afternoon which sometimes happens around here and you might have

also noticed Rudy this is the first time I was trying to record a segment with my

old Canon Powershot and realized after we'd done it that I had auto focus and

auto iris on and you could see the the exposure going in and out and the focus

going in and out I learned my lesson we do that again we'll fix it

make some adjustments there learning process right okay do we know what we're

doing next week right in December man it's coming up on Christmas that's

awesome the office is all decked out for Christmas oh oh I remember I do I'm

hoping I've been talking with TJ Thompson and he's been testing a new

software for us not our software another application but I'm really hoping we can

work it out to get TJ on next Friday and it'd be fun to get you guys here and

throw some questions at him he's a great guy and he's a lot of fun to work with

He's cool nobody else is saying anything I guess we did our job all

right well we will be back next Friday thanks for joining today

see you next time bye

Calendario en Windows 10 - Duration: 6:53.

Hello again Infonaut, welcome or welcome to a new installment of your YouTube channel Infoductiva

this time we will continue with Windows 10 and its native applications ... this time we will learn to use

the calendar application within our Windows 10 ... interesting right?

We begin ...

good first of all the schedule to execute it is very simple we simply deploy

and we started writing calendar and as soon as let's put the first four letters

as you see it appears

the first option ... click on the

how you see it opens up ... I will maximize it ...

good no ... I'll leave it so it looks pretty good

I'm going to center it

let's see, in principle

What can I mention about the calendar? basically it allows me to see

or use different GMail accounts, different Microsoft accounts to save

my data ... I can add different calendars

logically we have to understand that

a calendar fundamentally allows us

Schedule notifications and events

it allows us to make annotations

and share the agendas or agenda that we want with

other people and even allows us to manage

different calendars for different purposes, right? for different purposes

then it basically tells us

what day are we, we can point here, today ... we can point out

per day ... we can point it out or show it per week ... in even per month

let's assume that the lúnes click on it and just press it how you see allows me to link it to my email account

to which I have linked, I already did in the previous video ... the event for example I have to go to the hairdresser

all right?

let's define a way to

to define an event in a simple way

it would be instead of all day telling him that I have to go

for example let's say at 5:30 p.m. in the afternoon

and that I'm going to finish at 18:00 and we could give a location ... okay?

if we give to

more detail

logically it will give us many more options to define it ... apart from those that we have already defined would be a description we could share

in agreement?

and up here we could

show a warning

when we want that notice and if we want the event to be repeated or well, I'm going to leave it like that and I'll give it to keep

and how do you see I have the hairdresser event for the day

November 19, if we click on it or if we place the mouse over it, how do you see it?

if we click on see event logically we also see it ... we can eliminate ...

Well, would this be a way to do it right?

let's eliminate the event

something important is to remember that here to the part right

the upper part we have the possibility to show

the options, in this case of year that I do not fit or maximizing it would appear all and synchronize

and in the three lines that we see on the left

when we click on it, we fold the options

from that column ... okay?

Every time we want to create an event we can also click on a new event and it will open the advanced screen

to put a name and what email we want to link

all right?

when you're here remember to give the X would close the entire application

so, here instead of

if we click on save for example

I'm going to eliminate it which is easier

I'll create a new event ... if I do not want it

we will have to give this delete and then delete the event ... not the X since we will close the whole program

all right?

let's say that these would be the two ways of adding an event ... by clicking directly on the, on the day

or by clicking directly

in the most (+) of nine event in the calendar

you may have noticed that the contact option

and here we have the option to switch to To-Do

in principle the contact option allows me ... add appointments, invite contacts to different events that we have in the calendar

and we can even share the calendar

all right?

the option of To-Do when pressing it

how you see takes us to the Store to download precisely that application

here it is

in agreement? that is a list of pending tasks I do not have it installed

in the case that you have many tasks to do and you want the calendar to help you remember them all and to deactivate them

as you go about doing the work ... something nevertheless highly recommended

Well, you could use it to add this type of functionality

within our calendar

I'm going to close the Store

and well basically this is

basically the basic mode of use

of the agenda

the agenda

You can handle it like I said with the contacts and in the next video we'll talk

how to manage

our contacts

Well that's it

thank you very much for sharing my videos on your social networks

thank you for subscribing and for giving the notification bell ... thank you very much for your

comments and for your Likes, see you in a new installment of your YouTube channel

Infoductive ... See you soon Infonaut ...

A Review of Red Dead Redemption 2 - Duration: 11:20.

I have a lot of weird, conflicting feelings about Red Dead 2 that, of all things, I think

can be summed up in the game's cinematic camera mode.

It's a mode we've seen in Rockstar's previous open worlds, meant to provide the

kind of thrilling cuts you'd expect in a Hollywood car chase, but funnily enough blasting

through the streets in a Lambo doesn't exactly lend itself well to a camera that could be

providing a shaky helicopter perspective one second then locking itself to the wheel arch

the next.

Horses, as it turns out, move slowly enough that the same mode here likely won't result

in the wreckages found in the developer's more contemporary cityscapes.

It's the same mechanical template, but it makes more sense when transposed to a different

setting.

It lets you take a break from the long rides between objectives as your horse automatically

follows the path, allowing you to bask in the splendour of its environmental design

and weather effects.

Snow is legitimately blinding, god rays shining through the mist paint the vast wilderness

as some mysterious, heavenly plane; all framed from the kinds of dynamic angles you'd see

in the highest budget blockbusters.

From animation to shot composition to environmental detail, this mode asserts in no uncertain

terms that this is one of the best-looking games ever made.

When taken on its own, however, you find that, mechanically, the mode is a means of further

automating what little control you had during traversal.

It presumes you'll get bored mindlessly turning corners while watching the backs of

your characters for minutes at a time, so gives you a way to break up the monotony inherent

to your interaction.

In short, it's a means by which you can play the game less.

It's the developers saying "gaze in awe upon what we made.

What we made is more important than what you do with it."

See, Red Dead Redemption 2, taken as a whole, feels like an almost complete shift when held

up against Rockstar's other games; less like the frantic, player-focused action romps

of yore than a slow, fairly rigid interactive story—a game that isn't so bothered about

being played as it is about guiding you along its "experience"; its saga of characters

dealing with the agonising decay of their way of life—each treating it with varying

degrees of inevitability.

Over the month it took me to complete the game (a remarkably and enjoyably prolonged

period of time given the disposable nature with which people tend to chew up and spit

out games nowadays) I saw characters convincingly grow and wither and die.

I saw each of the game's identically structured chapters culminate in the one big job meant

to save the gang going increasingly awry and I saw leader Dutch's mask slip away in the

process—gradually revealing him to be the same kind of self-interested egomaniac he

so often and vitriolically spoke against.

I noticed it in the little details; from his ongoing lack of subtlety to the fact that

he gives the same spiel to the Pinkertons as he does to John in the first game; gloriously

reframing his noble death speech as merely a failed attempt to buy time and save his

own skin.

On the other hand, we have Arthur; initially striking me as a meathead blank slate but

slowly becoming one of the most nuanced, likeable protagonists since BJ Blaskowics.

A man who, in his recognition that his gang's way of life is going to end, lines up with

our knowledge of exactly what goes down; whose gruff exterior belies a man with a surprising

penchant for words and an artistic eye.

Whose borderline-absurdist view on life leads him, perhaps unwittingly, to help those in

need – to protect them directly against Dutch's bluster - making him a far more

convincing paragon of his leader's ideals than the leader himself, made all the more

endearing for the fact that he never sees himself as any kind of hero.

He's a man who simply wants to experience the beauty of life's small details with

what little time he has left.

And it's a good thing too, because Red Dead 2 is all about selling you on its world through

its minutiae, even if it doesn't make things as easy for you as a player as it perhaps

could.

You're not going to get constant dialogue to make your solo horse rides more engaging,

because who the hell just talks to themselves?

You're not allowed to run through camp because, well, who the hell just sprints through their

own home?

Stuff like this may seem inconsequential, hell, even downright irritating, but it also

represents an impressively subtle and naturalistic approach to characterisation for a game in

which you can ride your horse of a cliff if you want to.

On a more personal level, I found aiming to be such an automatic process that I struggled

to notice anything other than aesthetic differences between a clean gun and a worn one but you

can bet I maintained them anyway, taking the time to hold square as Arthur lovingly rid

them of any muck.

I customised them, painting them a garish gold and engraving handles with the most intricate,

expensive designs I could, knowing full well Arthur's grubby mitts would be covering

them up the whole time.

I liked the idea that, moreso than in other shooters where you might pick up a weapon

and throw it away when something better came along, these were Arthur's guns.

I'd slowly pull them out of my horse's cargo whenever I jumped off, even though there

wasn't any mechanical benefit to leaving them there or any reason as to why they weren't

simply on my back the whole time.

Even if it didn't necessarily impact moment-to-moment gameplay in a particularly noticeable way,

the detail provided the world a tactility it would have otherwise lacked.

That said, this was just one system in a wealth of systems I just couldn't place the same

level of meaning on.

Take bounties, for example; whose limiting of fast travel ended up the far more perilous

punishment for going off the rails than the few hunters the game would occasionally send

my way to be summarily dead-eyed (and even then, money became such a non-issue after

a certain point that the entire system was rendered almost redundant).

And while the similar structuring of all of the game's chapters serves to contribute

to the growing sense of dread that Dutch's much-talked-about plan isn't all it seems,

it doesn't change the fact that almost every mission over the game's entire 70 hours

sees events devolve into an incredibly basic stop-and-pop cover shooter, feeling entirely

at odds with the game's storytelling strengths; making me feel like Rockstar are stuck in

a kind of limbo—refusing to commit to an entirely story-focused experience for fear

of alienating more action-oriented fans, with the action that does feature feeling stymied

by the developer's more… filmic ambitions.

Take the moment I came up against a bounty I had to collect for the local sheriff.

Interpreting Arthur's character as a no-frills, get-the-job-done kind of guy, my first instinct

was to creep up on him and use the lasso to get him on my horse as efficiently as possible.

But nope, by greying out my reticle I found that the game had other ideas in mind—instead

forcing me to "confront" him by pressing circle; or rather, the game wanted me to trigger

a cutscene that would lead to a high-larious caper in which I'd have to stop him falling

off the cliff then dramatically catch him on horseback.

Or take the moment my horse would inexplicably slow down as I hammered the controller to

escape multiple threats, because that was the trigger point for getting shot off said

horse.

Or when I spent ages running through a corn field, again lasoe in hand ready to catch

the straggler I'd been looking for, only to find that character model wasn't actually

present in the world—rather, after running over a certain point, the dude would magically

appear behind me, leading to a brawl whose intended surprise and tension was inevitably

lost in how scripted it all was.

In each example, the resulting cutscenes were all framed nicely, I suppose; in a vacuum

you could say they were each a suitably "cinematic" sequence of events, but none were my sequence.

I could have handled it; I wanted to handle these encounters in a totally different way

- more in line with who I thought the character was - and the game betrayed my ability to

do that in favour of its grander cinematic vision; something which I very recently praised

the first game for avoiding.

That game proved that you didn't need big, showy set pieces in order to resonate with

an audience, as long as what was there was consistent with how you played the game in

other areas.

In Red Dead 1 you had a barn and some dudes and you knew you were a goner.

Here, the same set-up is just another shoot out whose undoubtedly impressive focus on

the detail of its animations nonetheless has it playing like a Wild West Uncharted with

less explosive set pieces and more rickety firearms.

And for the missions to devolve into this predictable framework of ride to place, shoot

at dudes is confusing, given the sheer density of controls and systems the developers could

have weaved in.

Button modifiers on top of button modifiers potentially allow you to do everything from

pointing your gun up to fire warning shots to exploring a rudimentary dialogue system,

and yet the missions never give you any choice as to how you use them—trying to talk someone

down when you're meant to shoot them (or vice versa) will either have no effect or

result in a failed mission.

At least there was narrative justification when Red Dead punished you for going off script—you

were under strict orders from the Pinkertons who were holding your family hostage.

Here, the same restrictions seem more focused on Rockstar forcing the cool stuff they programmed

in front of your eyes.

Like the side missions that seem to appear organically in the world but will repeat if

ignored, the new controls give the illusion that this is some new type of mechanical framework

for Rockstar to explore, when in actuality we haven't moved that much further forward

than a game released five years ago.

In all, Red Dead Redemption 2 is the best TV show I've ever played; its daunting length

almost wholly justified in how it sells the glacial decline of an age and the relationships

of the utterly compelling characters within it, while the act of actually playing the

game mostly feels like operating the remote control to get to the next episode.

Taken holistically, I'll cherish the month I spent with Red Dead 2; it's rare you get

to lose yourself in such an excessive, high budget piece of work delivered with the kind

of swagger you can only get from a Rockstar game (again with the obvious caveat that said

excess is not worth the wellbeing of the people realising it), that expects you to sit through

its long story told so confidently that you perhaps gloss over its inconsistencies.

But when examined with any great detail, you find those inconsistencies, the ways in which

it lags behind more mechanically accomplished games, are difficult to miss and I can only

hope that whatever they do next can perhaps more effectively weave their need to keep

players engaged through action with their lofty storytelling ambitions.

So I hope you enjoyed my piece on Red Dead Redemption 2.

If you did and feel like supporting the show directly, feel free to check out my Patreon

Meagan Markel backlash begins duchesses new era media coverage has officially begun

With increasingly more bombshells emerging it seems that we've entered a new era that isn't so kind to Megan Markel opinion

Literally. Megan Markel and Prince Harry's honeymoon period is over but also the honeymoon period that the world and in particular

The British public have had with the Dutchess of Sussex has officially ended

Enter a new year of media coverage. Welcome to the megan Markel backlash. It was inevitable, wasn't it?

Megan is beautiful accomplished articulate and she snagged the most eligible bachelor in the whole of the UK

At some point people were going to want something to complain about and for the past week the British

Press have done. Just that buzzing with reports about Megan's difficult attitude

it started with the son who reported on November 9th that the Queen had to have stern words with her grandson in the lead-up to

The Royal Wedding after both he and Megan were upset that she could not wear the tiara. She initially picked out from the royal treasury

According to reports Megan wanted to wear a tiara studded with emeralds

But because the provenance was not known the royal family refused

There was a very heated exchange that prompted the Queen to speak to Harry the son reported

She said Megan cannot have whatever she wants

She gets what tiara she's given by me the message from the Queen

Was very much Megan needed to think about how she speaks to staff members and be careful to follow

Family protocols the tabloid rumor mill over here in Britain has been powered by the sheer centrifugal force of this explosive report

the Daily Mail quoted a royal insider that old chestnut

Who revealed that Megan's work ethic which includes five o'clock starts rain?

Hail or shine and the go to get her energy that led to her being nicknamed hurricane

Megan is causing ripples within the royal family according to this same insider

She sends her staff member 6 or 7 texts a day with ideas for initiatives more bombshells

then came the news that Megan's personal assistant resigned suddenly after just six months on the

Other resignations within la Kensington Palace team includes Samantha Cohen the Duke and Duchess of Sussex is private secretary

Edward Lane Fox Prince Harry's private secretary and Kensington Palace senior communications

Secretary Katrina McKeever who left the team in September the shake-up of staff prompted a column in last weekend's The Sunday Telegraph

about how to talk to staff

Inland God loved it a couple of months ago

I was told a story about the Duchess of Sussex and her tights columnist Sophie and money Kouts wrote a staff member at Kensington Palace

Apparently suggested they buy her tights from Marks and Spencer

But she allegedly insisted on getting them from the more upmarket Wolford instead

The phrase garbage patch was said to be used in reference to M and s but that undeceive phrase is probably an exaggeration

Hello, the knives are out for Megan and they're being sharpened right as we vary speak

I'm not surprised that this backlash has erupted so spectacularly. I've been reading Tina Brown's

2007 biography of Princess Diana the Diana

Chronicles for the first time recently and the way that megan is being talked about now mirrors the way that people talked about diana and

Later 4g in the immediate aftermath of both of their royal weddings both

diana

And Fergie had staff members in their households quit suddenly in the narrative around them in particular

Diana in those early days was one of difficult women who wanted the spotlight shown firmly on them sound familiar

Megan is having to endure similar backchat and gossip largely

Thanks to the fact that she wakes up early good for her likes to send text messages

She knows how to communicate and that she has ideas and the horror

Opinions about what she wants to do with the immense privilege and responsibility of her new career

There are some who say that there's no smoke without fire when it comes to celebrity rumours. Sure

There's probably a base level of fact in all this Megan Markel gossip

I've no doubt that she gets up at 5 in the morning that she texts her staff and that she has opinions about her job

She sounds like most of my driven ambitious friends in the throes of a brand new role

I wish I had her kind of work ethic quite frankly

But read between the lines a bit this kind of behavior in and of itself is not a problem

It's how this behavior is perceived by these so-called royal insiders and who these alleged sources ultimately

Represent within the royal family for these royal insiders maybe hurricane. Megan really is a terrifying prospect

Maybe for them this backlash couldn't come soon enough not live though

It's important to remember that Megan isn't some aristocratic socialite or moneyed champagne bubble about town

She's a 37 year old woman who has lived a full and independent life up until this point. She's already had a rewarding career

She's honed her sense of social justice

She's formed opinions about herself and her tastes she's loved and lost in short

she's a modern woman who up until very recently lived a pretty nice life all on her own a

Life that isn't that dissimilar in broad strokes anyway from the one that you or I have

She knows who she is and she isn't afraid to be vocal about that

And if that's what someone calls difficult then I think that says more about them than it is about Megan

Thank you for watching the video. What do you think about this? Please leave your thoughts in the comment section below and don't

Celebrity Edge Cruise Ship Tour - Celebrity Cruises - Duration: 22:31.

Celebrity Cruises this month is unveiling Celebrity Edge,

the first of a new series of vessels with an innovative design.

Built at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in Saint Nazaire, France,

Celebrity Edge is the first new Celebrity Cruises ship in six years.

At 129,500 gross tons,

it's also Celebrity's biggest ship ever.

Among Edge's most notable features:

A 90 ton platform the size of a tennis court that is cantilevered over its side.

Called the Magic Carpet, the platform moves up and down the side of the ship serving functions,

that range from a tender boarding platform to restaurant.

The focal point of the exterior decks of Celebrity Edge is its Pool Deck,

which features a non traditional, asymmetrical pool.

The terraced pool deck is nearly 22 feet high and offers grand ocean views.

Celebrity Edge's Pool Deck is unusual in its openness to the sea.

Soaring, wall to wall glass lines its sides,

which also feature an asymmetrical jogging track.

Celebrity Cruises' signature X logo can be seen in the funnel at the back of Celebrity Edge.

Celebrity Edge's name is spelled out in big white letters on the sides of ship's funnel.

More lounge chairs line the side of the ship on Deck 16.

A lounge seating area near Celebrity Edge's funnel.

In a notable change for Celebrity,

deck chairs on Celebrity Edge's outer decks face the sea,

instead of pointing inwards.

It's part of an effort,

to connect passengers to the ocean in a greater way than on past vessels.

Some of the walls on the top decks of Celebrity Edge feature a "love" motif.

Shown here just off Deck 14,

the tangerine colored Magic Carpet moves up and down the side of Celebrity Edge,

to serve multiple functions.

Among them: A lounge with some of the best views at sea.

Passengers lounging on the Magic Carpet have stunning views back at the ship.

Six private cabana areas are located along the side of the pool deck.

They can be rented for $400 a day.

Like other Celebrity ships,

Celebrity Edge is home to a covered, adults only Solarium.

The Solariuum on Edge was designed in collaboration with renowned British architect Tom Wright.

The Solarium area on Celebrity Edge is 3,360 square feet,

and features a pool measuring roughly 40 feet by 30 feet.

In addition to a pool and hot tub,

the Solarium is home to a healthy cuisine focused eatery,

called The Spa Café and Juice Bar.

The Solarium on Celebrity Edge is covered with ultra durable E T F E roof.

Little used on cruise ships,

the material resembles glass but is around 100 times lighter.

Another unusual feature of Celebrity Edge is its Rooftop Garden.

It's a plant filled playscape,

that Celebrity says was inspired by childhood playgrounds,

and 'designed to awaken the inner child in everyone.'

The Rooftop Garden is tended to daily by a resident horticulturist.

The Rooftop Garden offers park like seating areas as well as interactive games and activities.

More lounge chairs line the side of Celebrity Edge just outside the Rooftop Garden.

A jogging track winds around the top decks of Celebrity Edge past the Rooftop Garden.

A sculpture of a horse stands guard just outside the Rooftop Garden.

Like other Celebrity ships,

Celebrity Edge features a Sunset Bar overlooking the back of the vessel.

Two black wicker chairs face aft from Celebrity Edge's Sunset Bar area.

The hub of Celebrity Edge's interior is The Grand Plaza.

It's a soaring, three deck high space created by Paris based designers,

Patrick Jouin and Sanjit Manku of Jouin Manku Studio.

The design of The Grand Plaza on Celebrity Edge,

was inspired by the era of trans Atlantic ship travel,

when dramatic staircases and ornate chandeliers were common on vessels.

The focal point of The Grand Plaza is The Chandelier,

a striking light feature and art piece that soars above the ship's signature Martini Bar.

The Martini Bar in The Grand Plaza is a nod to earlier Celebrity Cruises ships.

Spreading across more than 5,000 square feet,

The Grand Plaza is lined with eateries and cafes including Le Grand Bistro,

which serves French bistro cuisine.

Located on Deck 4,

Le Grand Bistro seats 90 people and comes with an extra charge

($10, breakfast; $20, lunch; $25, dinner).

Just across from Le Grand Bistro on Deck 4,

is a version of Celebrity's signature cafe, Cafe al Bacio.

Among central design elements is a cluster of plush red chairs,

underneath a dazzling glass art installation.

Designed in collaboration with BG Studios,

Cafe al Bacio serves up espresso drinks and an array of sweets,

from artisan cupcakes to a pistachio sable with lime white chocolate.

Adjacent to Le Grand Bistro on Deck 4 is Celebrity Edge's casino.

The casino on Celebrity Edge.

The Casino Bar, just off the main casino floor, is a sleek retreat.

The bar in the Casino Bar is embedded with electronic games.

Other venues surrounding The Grand Plaza include Raw on 5.

Located on Deck 5, it offeres a raw bar and other seafood items,

including Celebrity's signature Lobster Roll,

and sushi,

and sashimi,

prepared by on board sushi chefs.

Located on Deck 5, Raw on 5 seats 60 people and is priced a la carte.

Unlike earlier Celebrity Cruises ships,

Celebrity Edge doesn't have a single large main restaurant.

Instead, it has four smaller main restaurants.

each with a different name, decor and dishes.

Among them is Tuscan Restaurant.

About 80% of the dishes at the four main restaurants on Celebrity Edge are the same.

The rest vary from restaurant to restaurant,

tying into each restaurant's specialty.

Tuscan Restaurant's specialty is Italian cuisine.

Located on Deck 3, Tuscan Restaurant has a capacity for 344 people.

Celebrity Edge's four main included in the fare dining venues include Cypress Restaurant,

which serves Mediterranean fare and is a nod to Celebrity's Greek heritage.

Famed designer Patricia Urquiola worked on the interior decor of Cyprus Restaurant,

which is located on Deck 4.

Another one of Celebrity Edge's four main included in the fare restaurants,

is Cosmopolitan.

Serving New American cuisine with global influences,

it evokes the main restaurants on Celebrity's existing ships.

Located on Deck 4, Cosmopolitan can seat 346 people at once.

Cosmopolitan is open for breakfast, lunch (on sea days) and dinner.

An intricate art piece lines one of the walls of Cosmopolitan.

A pendulum occupies the center of a curving staircase,

that winds down between the main restaurants on Celebrity Edge.

Located on Deck 3,

Normandie Restaurant is one of the ship's four main dining venues.

Serving contemporary French cuisine,

Normandie Restaurant is named after the famed French ocean liner Normandie,

and features a historic wall panel from that vessel.

The panel once hung in another Celebrity Cruises ship, Celebrity Summit.

Lalique glass from the SS Normandie also can be found in the Normandie Restaurant.

The color palette of Normandie Restaurant is meant to be reminiscent of cherry blossoms in full bloom.

Normandie Restaurant also features wooden panels that were taken from the Celebrity Summit.

Also located on Deck 5 overlooking The Grand Plaza is Fine Cut Steakhouse,

a new for Celebrity venue.

Fine Cut Steakhouse is a dinner only, upscale steakhouse.

It comes with a flat fee of $55 per person.

There also are 32 outdoor seats.

A private dining room is available at Fine Cut Steakhouse.

A Bvlgari store is among the high end retail outlets on Celebrity Edge.

Two chairs designed by Patricia Urquiola are located just outside the Bvlgari store.

Celebrity Edge is home to the line's biggest spa ever.

Dubbed The Spa, it is located at the front of the ship on Deck 15.

A stairway leads up from the main spa area of The Spa to Celebrity Edge's Fitness Center.

A relaxation lounge at The Spa on Celebrity Edge.

Celebrity Edge's spa is home to a sprawling thermal suite with eight distinctive therapeutic experiences.

Stylish wicker chairs await passengers at the Celebrity Edge spa's thermal suite complex.

The most luxurious accommodations on Celebrity Edge,

are its two Iconic Suites,

which are located at the top of the ship

Things like that? Good. I....

My face gets puffy no matter what I eat.

- Even thought you don't eat? - Not sure.

I get so puffy whatever I eat.

- Fighting! - Not easy.

Sweet stuff doesn't make me too puffy. Better than the salty one.

- Salty food makes me so puffy. - Right.

I got so puffy because the chicken was salty.

Chixxxx chicken is so good.

- My style. - Right.

I have to tell you my TMI.

I took a vocal lesson today.

TMI.

- Real TMI. - Real TMI.

And I went to my school.

Right, he went to school with I.N.

Took the vocal lesson and turned on V Live with these bros.

School.

My TMI.

My TMI.

I ate something yummy from home.

- Had a home meal? - What was the menu?

Rice, eggs.

- Crab? - Crab?

- Crab? - Crab.

- There was a crab? - Yes.

- Soy crab? - Yes.

- Soy crab. - Really?

I ate it and it was so good.

When I had it for the first time,

"This is so fresh"

- Fresh? - Super fresh.

Very fresh. .

- Really. - Fresh soy crab.

Fresh soy crab.

Organic. It was so yummy.

I ate quite a bit.

About 10?

- 10? - I tend to eat a lot when I go there.

- It was so good. - Soy crab. - So good.

So, it was very good.

These days we tend to finish our sentences with '~ deorago'.

- Let's do that. - That is the Korean grammar we are working on.

You say "~ deoragoyo".

I opened up the chicken box,

- There were 4 legs. - 4 legs.

- Not 3. - But, they ordered a combo meal with 4 legs.

- Right. - I thought they made a mistake.

I said "4 legs?" and they said " Is it new?".

They said that's how they ordered.

4 legs. Well, we would be lucky to get that.

- Party. - Usually it has 2 legs. But this time, 4 legs, not even 3.

And I was thinking " It means this is for 2 people?"

I was shocked. So that was my TMI.

My TMI is, well we ordered a lot of food.

- Right. - We ate them.

I ate them and also,

As I was eating it, I was analyzing it.

- Woojin. - Not easy.

There was something very unique.

- What? - Per chicken? - Each chicken is different.

- They have emotions? - Right, they were there.

- I felt the effort of the chef who made it. - Right.

- Wow. - Hand-made chicken. - Hand-made.

It was so yummy.

And I took the lesson today.

Early in the morning.

And, I think today is going to very meaningful.

Quiet.

- No, nothing. - Gotta search for everything.

- It is nothing. - Find it.

My TMI,

I am thinking of what to eat.

- What a TMI. - Huge TMI.

"Thinking of what to eat" is a TMI.

Thinking of what to eat is my TMI.

What are you going to eat?

- Soy crab. - The time...

- It is over, that place is over. - Right. - That 'home meal' place is over.

- Right. - I want to eat there. - I hope they serve crab at night.

- I really love it. - Right.

It is so good.

We are here at the studio and we should sing.

Woojin, sing a song for us.

Make the mood first.

But we can't use the piano now.

Why The People Of NoFap Become Successful - Duration: 4:39.

When you go to your favorite restaurant after a hard long days of work and you take that first bite into your favorite meal

you feel great. When you get an amazing grade after studying for that exam that you pulled

two all nighters for you feel amazing. And when you get that promotion that you've been

eyeing at for a couple of years already, you feel phenomenal. But even when you open up

your laptop and you go on some raunchy website, and you masturbate to porn, you feel good

too. These are all rewards. But the thing about the act of PMO (watching porn, masturbating,

and eventually reaching orgasm) that separates itself from the rest of the crowd , is the

fact that you don't really have to work for it. It is virtually effortless to obtain.

Let's put things into perspective. In order to get that satisfying feeling that comes

with getting a good grade, you have to go to class. You have to take semi-decent notes.

And eventually you have to study. This requires a significant amount of time and effort. Watching

porn on the other hand is easy. You open up your laptop and you click your mouse a couple

of times until you find a video that you like. And instantaneously you can reward yourself

with pleasure. On top of that, porn and masturbation triggers one of the most powerful and pleasureful

rewards your body can naturally give itself, the orgasm. It's a reward that is normally

only achievable by meeting a potential mate, coming off as an attractive mate, and eventually

growing the balls to make a move and having sex. Nowadays it's available at the click

of a button. If you could get an A on any test by just clicking a button would you ever

put in the time to study? If you could lose weight or gain muscle with the click of a

button, would you ever go to the gym? Would you ever adjust your diet? If you could get

any girl or guy with the click of a button, would you go out and socialize? Would you

try to make yourself more attractive? Would you even approach members of the opposite

sex? See people who masturbate and watch porn a lot often report lower levels of motivation

and energy. This is because one of the most pleasurable things in nature is already in

arms reach, at the CLICK OF A BUTTON. There's been a movement in the past couple of years

that's gathered a lot of momentum going on called the NoFap movement. It's members try

to resist the temptations of porn and masturbation , that is literally plastered all over the

place in modern society. The majority of it's members who stop PMO for over 30 days have

reported some of the following benefits. Increased levels of motivation. Increased energy levels.

And increased confidence in social interactions. See when you tell your body that, "No, you're

only ever going to get this tasty, beautiful, pleasureful reward if you actually go out

there and earn it," your body will start to adjust so that it becomes possible. It's going

to give you the energy and the motivation that you need for that journey. So stop rewarding

yourself today for doing absolutely nothing and you will see a change. And it's not just

watching porn that can have this effect. There's other rewards out there that can have a similar

detrimental effect to your lifestyle. Things like sugary foods, video games, drugs, and

even alcohol. These things are all forms of instant gratification. They're to easy to

obtain and they provide short bursts of pleasure. And the reason people who do NoFap find themselves

on the path of success or on a path of upward growth, is not just because they don't watch

porn or masturbate. It's actually because they've retaught themselves how to put in

TIME and EFFORT before reaping REWARDS. To put in work in order to succeed. To exercise

in order to feel healthy. To study in order to feel smarter. To meditate in order to feel

happier and many other examples. What members of NoFap are actually doing, is they're forcing

themselves TO SUCCEED in order to FEEL PLEASURE. When you reward yourself for doing nothing

all of the time, you'll find that your mentality will be just like that of a dog who is given

too many treats. Lazy and Unmotivated.

Ask yourself this:

AM I REWARDING MYSELF ALL THE TIME FOR DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING?

Conan & Jordan Visit The Toto Toilet Showroom - Duration: 5:40.

I know what you're thinking.

You're thinking that right now I'm on the set of Westworld

or J.J. Abrams' latest sci-fi futuristic concoction,

but no.

I'm at the Toto Toilet showroom in Tokyo.

Joining me right now is a huge fan of Japanese toilets.

He's talked about them quite a bit over the years.

Jordan Schlansky.

Jordan, tell me, what is it about Toto Japanese toilets

that you love so much?

I love any toilet bowl that washes your anus.

People wash every other part of their body

that is never as dirty with soap and water,

but the anus, they say, don't worry about it,

just use this paper.

I just don't understand.

Even while the rest of the world washes the anus,

the United States sits back and says, no, we're okay,

because a little piece of paper does just as good a job.

Now I ask you, you're a proud American,

are you confident in the cleanliness of your anus?

That's the most patriotic speech,

I've heard any American give in a long time.

Meet Mr. Kuwahara.

You--hi. You work here.

Oh hi.

I already did.

Just do it again.

Oh, look at that.

My friend is only interested--

what happened?

Oh it sterilized--I thought...

I thought it was making a point of some kind.

You're welcome to speak anytime.

My friend only wishes a toilet with washing capabilities.

I don't believe washing one's anus should be a luxury.

I believe washing one's anus is a right, not a privilege.

Yeah. John F. Kennedy, I think said,

we have the right and privilege,

but you've probably taken that and probably elevated it.

How does the stream of water know how to hit its mark?

The average anus point.

But what if someone was outside the average?

Mine is more here.

We don't know what happened,

but it drifted and it's here now.

I'm sort of, like this.

I think it's barbaric that we have to go to the toilet.

I think the toilet should come to us.

It comes and finds me when it's time.

And it just nudges me like a dog

And I'm like, what the, hey, he's right and then I go.

This idea is my gift to Toto.

Thank you.

So it agrees that it's a good idea. Yes.

They're--I'm telling you, they're thinking!

They're thinking!

When you leave at night,

these toilets all have adventures.

You have no idea what they're doing.

Do you ever get a celebrity voice?

Because I could be a voice of a new toilet.

Hello, please have a seat on me.

I'm American TV comedian, Conan O'Brien.

Oh...you had a pretty big dinner.

Easy there, fella.

Well, thank god we're done.

See you next time.

And check me out on TBS, weeknights at 11.

Do you have toilets that play music?

Do you think it's necessary to--

I don't mean to be repetitive

but I just want a toilet bowl that is low to the ground

and washes the anus.

I strongly suspect you're being paid by the Anus Council.

You have said the word 600 times.

Anus. Anus. Anus.

Clean an anus.

Anus. Anus. Anus. Anus. Anus. Anus.

Washes the anus. Your anus.

Anus. The anus. Your anus. My anus. Your anus. Your anus.

Your anus. Anuses. Your anus. Your anus. Your anus.

The anus. The anus. One's anus. Anus. The anus. The anus.

The anus. Dry the anus. Dry the anus. The anus. The anus.

Other than the anus. Anus. Anus.

How many seconds does it take to clean your anus?

How long does this last?

Oh I have to stop it.

If that was me,

my anus would have been destroyed...

a long time ago.

What's the longest a human has endured?

What's the record?

Has anyone gone four hours straight,

and my second question is, did he survive?

And my third question is,

why are you letting me ask these questions?

Also, apparently, a power surge recently, in Osaka,

a man was blasted off the bowl.

Sorry, that's insanity, sorry.

He was shot into the air.

He went out in the sky.

Okay. Okay.

Let's call the police.

This is over.

This is ridiculous.

Would you like to maybe come get a drink with us?

Let's get out of here.

Let's go. Come on.
