I TRIED LIVING LIKE CASEY NEISTAT FOR 7 DAYS - 7 Things I Learned in 7 minutes - Duration: 7:47.

hey what's up everyone its Dennis here and today I'm gonna quickly recap what

I've learned over the last seven days after living the KC schedule don't know

who Casey Neistat haze is one of the biggest youtuber in the world and he

actually published a video many months ago she talks about his schedule early

in the morning he wakes up between 4:00 to 5:00 a.m. it is 5:14 a.m. I know I

wanted to wake up a little bit early but from 5:00 to 7:00 he works going through

some of my photos good and after that he has breakfast with his family from 7 to

8 yogurt milk I needed buy more work at 8 a.m. he goes for rot and then from

10:00 to 6:00 he just works I'm heading off now head off to work another day

another dollar by the time I get home from 6:00 to 10:00 that's his family

time 10:00 to 11:00 he goes back to the gym

I'm so tired now I really want to sleep at 11:00 he goes to sleep and then the

cycle repeats again shall he watch Shirelles video she actually lived the

Casey Neistat schedule and she actually put up a challenge for people like you

mean try living the Casey Neistat schedule after watching her video made

me realize you know what I actually don't want to try this I did it we did

it oh man that was so happy because tomorrow I don't need to wake up super

early in the morning unless my son decides to wake up they're doing this

over the last 7 days and it gives me a love inside and a lot of key learnings

that kind of like self-awareness ever since I started doing this challenge I

found new respect for daily vloggers those people who do it they daily 24/7

or do 10 hours a day plus you get to edit it for another I don't know 5 hours

so I really need to have a really strict schedule I think that's that's what's

coming out of the question of the day if you are a daily vlogger feel free to

share your tips on how you get by self-awareness that my workflow is okay

but I know there's room for improvement I'm getting a lot of things done

actually a solid hour in a bit just to edit it so I feel like I gained another

hour that's why I took up this challenge is to learn to be more productive on how

to be better let's say it was easy challenge me

mentally physically I don't really enjoy running now Casey actually runs everyday

iran's about ten miles which is about 15 to 16 km back home maybe run five took

me you know i have to take it step by step

yesterday i should't managed to hit that it took a lot of effort and a lot of

mental strength anyway enough for that I'll go show you the seven things I've

learned over the last seven days so lesson number one exercise is very

important I want to consider myself someone who exercise regularly or daily

I mean I do exercise maybe once or twice a week

this one cranks it up a notch because I am constantly running everyday and I

also go to the gym I don't mind going to the gym but running is a challenge for

me however most of the successful people are all the successful people who've

noticed actually incorporate exercise into their schedule which it's good for

your body it's good for your health it's good for your work-life balance and I

cannot stress how important this please a lot more important after doing the

last seven days made me realize that hey you know what actually do you need to do

more cardio I kind of stand why Casey goes to the gym at night because during

at night then during late night you can pretty much work out everything which

leads me to the second learning planning super super important the last seven

days that should make me realize that I need to plan a little bit more in detail

you know specifically call out what I need to do so that I don't waste time

wasting time looking at Oh what am I gonna do from this out okay given

context from 6:00 to 7:00 a.m. I'm gonna do some editing well do what anything do

I need to do is the photos is the video really try to put a little bit more

detail so that when you look at it you know what you need to do is straight

away without wasting time which leads me to lesson number three time management

my management is very very important especially if you have a strict schedule

like Casey really be straight really put yourself accountable when that timer

hits you know you really need to wake up early in the morning getting that coffee

find out to waste time for that particular hour like if you say you're

gonna edit the video they'll get distracted watching you know couple

episodes of Netflix I it's gonna be just one episode next

thing you know it's like two episodes thrips thanks to you you bitch the whole

season and you keep your wondering it so haha damn it I did actually edit the

video I actually watch the whole season they devil prey which by the way is a

good series behind which leads me to lesson number four focus is ski trying

to focus one thing at a time and you'll be able to finish it off like that's one

thing that I've changed in my workflow is between five to seven on the Monday

I'll be editing video and the next day on day two between five to seven I'll be

anything photos I know it's quite simple but sometimes we forget I forget about

it I tend to do a lot of things in that particular hour and I end up not doing

anything it's harder you know half-ass or it's not even finish and it makes you

wonder as like aw man it wasn't very productive day personally when I made

those changes are actually focusing on things and really be disciplined don't

get distracted do this don't get distracted lesson number five learn to

relax when you're so busy sometimes you tend to forget to relax I gotta have

that time off and it's okay it's fine some things can wait you learn to shut

down your mind things to actually be stress try to relax your mind so that

you don't get burned out which leads me to the next important one is family time

is so important and not just family time the quality of the family time is

important now sometimes and would take things for granted you know quality is

always gonna be better than quantity you could be spending five hours six hours

seven hours with your family but if you're disengaged then I get distracted

with you know checking my phones while chatting with them or having dinner with

them and I missed the point or donut stand where try and say oh don't don't

even pay attention to what they're saying so having that quality time

really enabled me to learn more about myself again self-awareness and to

actually have that discipline to say hey you know what this is family time very

very important don't think about all yeah I forgot to edit that video I need

to do it now learn to remember to take some time off and actually spend with

someone you like or you love and lastly the mindset the mindset shift now if you

can't change your inner self then you won't be able to make any changes change

is so important changes is rapid now there

to be able to transform yourself in order to produce new results so suppose

what I'm trying to say is how to become a better person today compared to

yesterday having that growth mindset you know sometimes we're scared of failing

but failing actually gives us learnings in order for us to opportunity to grow

as a person for example I didn't think I could run a 15-kilometer because I tried

and because I learned from failing gradually persevere and learn hey I can

do this I can do this I've keep telling myself I can do this and eventually I

made it you know I shouldn't do this so if I can do it you can do it a lot of

things I've learned however those are the seven key things that I picked up

look I do encourage you to try and test out tried for day see how it goes and

you can always change bits and pieces it kind of gives you a framework you know

like a blueprint getting late now so I'm gonna go back to sleep kind of get used

to sleeping late and getting up early in the morning especially if you got two

kids I don't really know how to end it bye see ya enjoy let me know how you go

Hey guys it's Lauren welcome by channel our welcome back to my channel in

today's video I am doing a Sephora haul which you guys know I love to film and

you guys seem to really enjoy these videos to you so I figured I'd put

another one out there for you guys if you would like to check out more of my

makeup halls I have a lot so I'll have a link in the cards up there and in the

description box down below with a playlist of all of them but today's

video I'm just gonna be talking about a bunch of you make a lunges out so for

that I picked up in some products that have my own for a while now that I

finally picked up so that's kind of the gist of today's video if you would like

review on any of these products individually please let me know in the

comment section down below or whatever else you wanna tell me I love hearing

from you guys so sound off down there but really quickly if you're new here

please make sure that you subscribe I would love to have you as a part of a

family I think that's all I have to say so let's get on into the video so the

first product I picked up I actually had it a while back I ran out and I never

repurchase it just because I had a lot of other settings raised on hand but

this is the one of the newer packaging it is the early an all nighter

long-lasting makeup setting spray if you don't know which I'm sure you do because

I felt everyone in their mommas heard about this product but it started the

whole setting spray trend it's just a product that you put over your makeup

when you're finished it'll help improve the longevity of your makeup and it'll

how things kind of smooth together make it look a lot more cohesive but this

product has totally wood ounces in it which I feel get a little bit more than

the other setting space I've tried out and here's what the bottle looks like I

really like it and also one thing to note I really like this to you because

for some reason I always lose the lids of setting sprays I don't know what it

is but it actually comes at you you get this bigger one and then when you open

it you get a smaller one so when this first released I heard the most basic

Eligius be a new like repackaging of it but then I also heard from a couple

people that the smell of the product was way differently not very nice and so

that makes me think there was maybe before we were change however I don't

know and I'll have to test that out for you guys

but I do you want to spray out on camera really quickly so you can see kind of

just the way at this versus and then also I want to smell it to see what that

new smell is like so here is the way the product disperses it does a lot and it's

very nice I know that this is a very lightweight product so I'm now I'm gonna

spray it on my hand and see what I think it smells like it definitely has a

difference in I don't really know quite how to dust

I feel like for me this isn't much of a turn-off especially if the product works

as well as the original one did however it is a little interesting so I would

suggest before purchasing it smelling it in store so the next project I picked up

because I have a sample of it for a while and when I finally right now I

just fallen in love and knew I had to pick up the full size so here is what

the protocol looks like in its packaging this is the hourglass mineral veil

primer and this product has one fluid ounce in it which is typical for a

primer and this primer is oil free and it has a broad-spectrum SPF of 15 and

typically products with any sunscreen in it I don't really enjoy it kind of as an

irritant for my skin and makes my makeup go on kind of weird but when I was using

this in the sample size I didn't even know it had sunscreen in it and I didn't

see any type of reaction or anything so here's what the product looks like full

size I have just fallen in love and the reason I fall in love with this product

it is just so smooth it goes on super nice a little bit of this does go a long

way you really only need a little to of Butler your pores and give your makeup

just a great base I feel like whenever I use this my makeup just goes on

wonderfully and I have a great makeup day so you guys knew I had to stock up

on one of my favorite Russian boobs it is the Sephora green tea dry shampoo

so that's what it looks like this product retails for $8 and in that she

get 2.5 fluid ounces which is just okay it's not terrible it's not the best but

this dry shampoo may not necessarily like clean my hair but it definitely

makes my hair look clean which honestly is all I care about especially if it's

gonna make my hair smell really good too it just has this really nice clean scent

that I've really been enjoying so I need to restock in one of my beauty blenders

anyways cuz I wanted to pick up one that I've never tried before this is the

original Beauty Blender Pro that's what it looks like this one up retails for

$20 just like the rest of them but this is what I've never tried I've tried that

pink one I've tried like the royal blue one I've tried a purple one I've tried a

lot of them I have tried this one and this one is supposed to have kind of a

different consistency formula to it it's supposed to be a little bit denser which

I'm excited to try because I think I'll really like it for like underneath the

eyes when bleeding and concealer I think that I'll like having something a little

bit more dense and hard where I can really get in there and have something

very much more her sons so Mike her eyelash curler just isn't working as

well as they used to when I speak to that I think it's a doll or

something I knew that I needed to pick up a new one

so before I went in store at Sephora I went online and checked out their most

recommended eyelash curlers and this is the one I found this is the tweezer

manipro curl lash curler this fire-free tails for $22 I got the rose gold

version of course but the reason I'm willing to pay a little bit of a higher

price for a lash curler is because I want one that is going to really do the

job you guys know I am just obsessed with those curled voluminous lengthened

lashes and I do believe that lash curlers really help emphasize your

lashes and so I pick up this one it's effective for most eye types however it

says it's ideal for round eyes and the reason this one is a bit more expensive

is because it has a double body so it's able to have more strength and it's

supposed to be a little bit more comfortable in the eyes so I'm

interested to try out and I'll have to let you guys know so I have loved

everything I've tried from glow recipe I am absolutely obsessed with that

watermelon glow sleeping mask I really do like it so I wanted to try out more

from them and I ended up picking up the glow recipe watermelon glow pink and

juicy moisturizer this is supposed to be really good for oily to combo skin and

it supposed to be hydrating and smoothing however I have dry skin and so

I wasn't really sure for a while if I should pick this up or not just because

I have dry skin and I didn't think would really work for me however I noticed

they mentioned how to use it for dry skin so it did make me finally want to

try it again basically it's supposed to be used as a

serum for people with dry your skin and even just use it underneath a heavier

cream so I put this on before I do my moisturizer which is pretty heavy and

that way it'll kind of seal it and make sure that helps to glow and give my skin

a little bit of radiance so I'm interested to try this out and I'll let

you guys know if you have dry skin how this works so I've had this product on

my wish list for a while now this is the dry bar triple sec three and one at

texturizing spray and this is just basically one of those texturizing

volumizing sprays for your hair and you guys if you've seen any of my videos

recently I have been wearing more curl but I typically wear my hair straight so

I don't really like you know the volume of that because I already have big hair

but I wanted to try this out because the smell you guys is amazing

I love the way drive a lot of products smell they actually the candle in this

and I want it I wish you know like I always say I wish

I was better at describing since I really don't know how to describe this

one but I am obsessed with it it just kind of gives me a nostalgia for some

reason but I really do like this in however I haven't tried it the product

and seeing the way it works but I'm interested with the way I've been

wearing my are recently kind of curly to see how this works with making it

long-lasting making the texture of the curls stay so I'll let you guys now

I love plumping lip products I think they're fun I love having big lips I

think it's a good way to go about enhancing your lips eyes especially if

you don't want to involve needles or anything like that if you're using the

right product it really can do some major effects so I can handle a little

bit of sting every now and then if it'll give me this the luminous effect to the

lips that I like but I wanted to try a brand new brother from Tarte that it's

like a lip plumping serum this is the Tarte rainforest of the sea scene

zing lip plumping serum so that's what it looks like and this is supposed to be

a product at all and instantly and plump your lips and hand your lip color smooth

and hydrate it's a clear serum and so I don't know quite how it like enhances

your lip color but I'm interested maybe it's so another one of those kind of pH

changing things we'll see maybe like when it like stings a little bit it'll

like you know get your lips kind of red how some other products do here's what

the actual product looks like I'm so intrigued to try this however I don't

love trying plumbing products on camera especially because it can kind of make

sometimes your lips go numb but I'll show you what the wand event looks like

it's really cool it's like this really thin wand

so I've interested to try this product out I have to watch it and it's

basically just like straight up like clear product so I'm interested to try

it out if you guys would like kind of an update on it just let me know down below

so I really been in - Winky Lux recently I've been trying to find this product

all the time every single time I go to my Sephora it is always sold out but

they had a tester and so I saw how much I loved it I kept looking for it and I

finally went this past time and it was there but this is the Winky love's

confetti bomb in rainbow which retails for $16 so you can't like see any of

this packaging it's kind of light but I will show you with actual product looks

like this is supposed to be a transforming pH bomb which all that

stuff like transformed into what will look best on you that always intrigues

me so here's what actual product looks like it's like a little pill that come

their lipsticks are shaped and here's what the actual product looks like you

can see it has like really cool confetti in it and it smells like birthday like

you really can kind of smell it it reminds me of the colossi a-bomb common

birthday the way doubt smells but this one's really good it's a little bit more

subtle than that though and I'll show you how this works so you can see I have

nothing on my hand and I'm gonna show you I'm just and you see it comes off

kind of pink and it's kind of lighter it's much more lighter than normal

transforming type things which I really like because I don't like stuff that's

gonna make me look crazy or anything like that that's gonna do a major change

I want something a little more subtle and that's what this does

tried because I Drive a lot recently cuz I know down below and I'd love to do

whatever you guys won so I had to repurchase one of my favorite products I

tried out this year I actually mentioned this in my last video called best of

beauty 2018 it is my number one mascara and I explain more why in that video so

the alum comb Hypnose drama instant full body mascara so that's what it looks

like and what I love about this product is I'm wearing it today I wear a lot

when I want really full voluminous length in curls lashes like this is an

all-in-one mascara and while it is a little bit more expensive it's pretty

expensive for a mascara even at Sephora but it really does do it all I feel like

this mascara you can't go wrong if you love just voluminous lashes if you like

them to be full and intense and you want to look like you're wearing false lashes

but you don't wanna have to worry about them this is what I love so that's what

it looks like I really recommend if you have the money or if you're looking for

that type of mascara I would really recommend this alright guys that glues

have no curtains and so I just have my walls i procrastinate all the time like

say I always say annoys me because my head I'm like why

Hey there Savvy Home Buyer and Sellers

this is Jeff O'Leary, "The Village Guru"

and in today's video I'm going to go over the

'Top 5 Misleading Advertisements in Real Estate.'

This video is good for everybody

buyers or sellers, because you're going to want to understand that

not everything is what it seems.

So without further ado let's get right into it!

As a real estate broker I notice all real estate advertising

I mean I can't help it it's the industry I'm in.

Now, I see some really good advertising

and then I see some not good advertising

but today what I'd want to talk about is

actually misleading advertising

because there's a ton of it in the industry and

I think as a consumer you need to understand when something sounds too

good to be true or it's not quite what it is

so let's get right into it.

#1 - Guaranteed Sales Program

Guys, this trick has been going on for the last 30 40 years

and there's a lot of trainers out there

teaching real estate salespeople to offer the guaranteed sales program

you might have saw it on a sign or a billboard

and it goes something like this,

"I'll sell your house in 60 days or I'll buy it."

Now think about it for a minute...

Your real estate person, if they had to buy every client's house that was for sale

well then why are they in the business of selling real estate?

The reality is they very rarely if ever...

actually buy their clients house

and if it ever gets to the point where they're gonna buy your house

trust me they're making such a killing off it

that they're going to turn around and flip it the next day

because on any of these ads

if you notice the fine print might say "***"

and you're gonna have like 30 different conditions and one of the conditions is basically,

"Hey, I'll write you up an offer on your house"

"but I need an appraisal and then on top of that appraised value"

"I'm going to make you an offer for say 10% below"

"that appraised value to cover my costs of either flipping it to my investor friends"

"or buying it myself and turning it for a profit"

So let me break it down in realistic numbers,

let's say you have a house that's worth $700,000

maybe it needs a little bit of work and it had a hard time selling

and you see this advertisement for "I Guarantee to Sell Your House or I'll Buy it"

Now, it can be pretty tempting because

maybe you have got to move in the next couple of months.

So you call this guy up, he comes in and he goes,

"okay I will appraise your house and I'll give you an offer"

"If we can't sell the house"

So if your house is worth 700k

he may come in and it gets appraised at 680k

so he'll turn around and offer you 610k.

At $610,000 he knows (or she) as a professional that they can turn around

and flip that house anyway...

but what's worse is, now if you agree to that agreement

you've basically told him...

"I'll sell it for anything above $610,000"

which would be wrong!

So if he brings you an offer for $615,000

what are you going to say?

"Well I'll buy (the house) for 610k but this (offer) is better...

do you get what I mean?

At the end of the day it's just a marketing ploy to get into your door

and start the high-pressure sales tactics

so be aware of the "Guaranteed Sales Programs"

Misleading advertising #2

Inflated Sales Statistics.

Real estate agents are always struggling

to differentiate themselves

from the hundreds and millions of other ones in the universe

and one way they do that is by teaming up

and inflating sales statistics.

Have you ever noticed that you'll see realtors saying,

"I'm the number one agent in this town and I sell 500 homes a year" or whatever

guys, I'll be honest, it's impossible

as one salesperson to sell that many houses

if you just calculate the hours involved in the labor involved

it doesn't work that way.

What they do is they build teams

where the one team leader takes all the credit for all the sales of the entire group

and then is able to go out there and advertise it

as if they personally sold all those houses.

Let me give you an analogy that I'll explain it

If you like hockey...

Let's say you take the Maple Leafs

and Austin Matthews is the best player on the team right now.

Now he may score 40 goals, 45 goals a year

and he's an all-star, a great player.

Now what happens if I told you that Austin Matthews

took all the credit for ALL the goals on the entire team

and he actually scored 400 goals a year?

Well, I think you would actually just flat out call me a liar right?

But that's exactly what's happening in the real estate industry

they're taking all the sales stats for everybody on their team

and they're putting it into one person.

So when we're talking about sales statistics

just be aware are they your (agent's) sales statistics or are they for the entire team?

At the end of day, I'm not "anti team" but...

as consumers I think sometimes we get confused as to

what actually someone is doing.

Misleading Advertising #3

"If you buy this house I'll buy yours!"

It's pretty much the same as the guaranteed sales program

basically they're trying to sell a house that they're having a hard time selling

and in that case they'll offer to buy yours

which really means, "I'll buy yours once I've tried to sell yours"

"and at the same time again if I actually have to buy it"

"it's gonna be for way below market value that way I can flip it and make a profit"

So again,

be weary, there's no such thing as guarantee's in real estate

only numbers and facts.

Misleading sales advertising #4

For Sale By Owner companies.

I couldn't leave them out guys I mean I'm honest

I trash on everybody!

I love for Sale By Owner companies because

they're in a real battle with Realtors, I mean I get it

If I was running one of those companies

I'd be trashing all my competitors too

and one way they do it is by constantly referring to

how much money you save in Commission

if you sell the house through their services

but here's the deal guys and this is something they don't disclose to you

couple of really cute things...

Number one

there's a lot of statistics from the National Association of Realtors

you can go on MLS and pull the numbers...

if you're for Sale By Owner

you're probably selling for lower than you are through a realtor

so you got to keep that in mind when you're selling the house.

Number 2, and something that they never talk about

is that a lot of times there's a buyer agent involved with a for sale by owner

so when someone goes on one of those companies that list their house for sale

on the MLS

more often than not...

another agent, a buyer's agent is going come with their client

so you're ending up paying a commission anyway

and that's fine because maybe you save a little bit on the selling side

but it's not as much as they claim because they always say

they always pick the highest commission possible

and they say you're gonna save all of it

when in reality

maybe you're only saving 1% or 2% okay

so you got to be really clear.

At the end of the day, if you want to sell your house

knock your socks off, I wish you all the best of luck

offer a commission and If I have a buyer, we're willing to do a deal

just be wary that these savings

most of the time or not as big

as these companies are claiming.

Finally misleading advertising #5

Inaccurate information on the MLS.

Home buyers tend to think that the MLS is "gospel truth"

and the problem is that the MLS is filled out by the real estate agent.

So the biggest things I see that are misleading

are square footage

all the time

I see taxes mislead

and I see other factors such as condo fees... kind of "fudged"

"oh, I forgot about that raise in condo fees..."

Be aware that while the MLS is a good guide

you need to always double-check all your facts and figures

before you offer on a house.

That means you real estate person

needs to go to public records and pull the square footage.

That means they need to confirm the taxes

because savvy realtors know that some investors look

at the taxes as an indication of value

so if they lie on them and say there are more taxes

then some buyers will assume that property is valued more.

So be careful, always verify the information

and don't take anything off MLS...

than more than just a guide.

Synology Surveillance Station Setup Up Email Notifications - Duration: 2:43.

Hello in this video I want to go over the process of setting up notifications on the Synology NAS surveillance station

I have a previous video where I talked about setting up

Notifications in general and you probably need to complete that before you do this

But for this instance, what we want to do is go up to this we are I'm logged into surveillance station

We want to go to the main menu up here and then we want to click on

notification and

That will bring up the notification

configuration

So this will say that

It says you can enable dsm notification and edited settings in surveillance station and it will merge the B

Email SMS push service of the DSM and surveillance station and it's asking if I want to enable that and I'll say yes

So what it has done here is copied over the configuration from the DSM to the surveillance station

So I have the recipient which is an email address

The subject prefix is DS 718 so you can call this whatever, you know

You can change that or leave it as is and then for the email server it is

Gmail so I set this up on the DSM

So if you watch that other video you can see all I did that and then it says attach an event snapshot

So this will attach a picture and it says enable email interval limit

So if you hit that, it says minimum interval between message

so this you can set to how many minutes you want between

Emails it sends so you could set this to 10 minutes 15 minutes 30 minutes, whatever. I'll set it to 30

This can be useful if like it's a windy day and you have a tree branch blowing around and it sends you a notification

Although there are other things you can do to you know, keep that from happening

But you can do this so you don't get too many emails because you will get a lot of emails on this if your cameras

in an active area

So I'll hit save on this and then I can hit send a test email and that would send it to my email address

That's that's how you set a email, which is what I use you can also setup SMS if you hit enable SMS

Notifications you can use one of these service providers. There's clickatell

Clickatell2017 and send in blue and then there's push service and that says this enable this notification service to receive

Notification messages via so knowledge ez mail server and mobile devices when notification events occur so you can set this up here

And then these are some other settings for notifications. I'm not going to go over every single one of them

But so these are the basics for setting up notifications and you want to set up notifications

If you're you want to do event detection on a camera

So if an event is triggered that can email you to tell you there is activity
