ROCK Hydrogel Installation Tutorial - Duration: 4:48.
Open the package and take out the contents
Take the alcohol wipe out of the package
Use the alcohol wipe to remove any contaminants on your device's screen
Then, use the dry cleaning cloth to gently wipe off any excess alcohol
and sweep dust off the screen
Take your time, as dust tends to fall back onto the screen
The hydrogel protector has 3 labelled tabs
Identifying tab 1, peel off the white backing film
Align the small cut-out with the phone's speaker
Then press down
In this tutorial,
we are demonstrating this layer can be peeled off
and repositioned as necessary
Once aligned, gently press it down onto the screen
Smooth out any large bubbles formed
Peel off the tab labelled 2.
Slowly adhere the protector to the screen using light pressure
To adhere the rest of the protector, you will use a squeegee
Lift up tab 3 to where the squeegee is
Slide the squeegee across the surface, applying even pressure
Gently push down the edges of the hydrogel protector,
following the curvature of your device's screen
Push out any remaining bubbles if necessary
If there are some small bubbles remaining,
they will come out within 24 hours
Peel off the last layer to reveal the hydrogel protector
Finally, smooth out the edges
End result!

Episode 43: recording a CD with Seldom Sene, part 1 - Duration: 10:02.
This is María and this is Hester. Together we are the CONSORT COUNSELLORS!
Welcome to a very special episode of Consort Counsellors!
We are in the kitchen of Schuilkerk "De Hoop"
because we are building up in the church
for our fifth CD recording with Seldom Sene Recorder Quintet
for our label Brilliant Classics!
We are very excited about this recording because the repertoire has all been written especially for our ensemble
by international composers from Greece, the Netherlands and Germany.
We are looking forward to let the world hear this music for the first time!
We will tell you a little bit more about each of the pieces and each of the composers as the recording proceeds.
We just got the keys of the church and we are building up at the moment. We'll show you what's going on inside.
In these boxes are all the parts that we need to build up an installation for the first piece
that we are going to record tomorrow and the day after,
which is called "Ten Dipoles" by the Greek composer Aspasia Nasopoulou.
Ten Dipoles is a series of ten short pieces of music of two to three minutes each.
Each of the pieces is based on a different opposition and each of these oppositions is called a "dipole".
This is a concept that comes from ancient Greek philosophy. It refers to opposites which need each other to exist
and which lie at the basis of all existing things. For example: good and bad.
There is no "good" without "bad", good and bad need each other to exist.
And so, we have different opposition's like female|male, limited|unlimited, square|oblong, etc.
Another level of opposites is an ensemble of instruments
especially created for us by Ernst Dullemond and Horst Rickels.
They are called the "Ten Free Aerophones".
The main part of the installation is made out of wooden organ pipes.
They have been used by Horst Rickels before, in another installation, and now we transformed them
into a special instrument for the pieces of Aspasia.
The idea of the ten free aerophones is that they somehow oppose the "perfect flute".
So, the instrument we made is a little bit clumsy, it creates only a few tones
and actually the tones are not stable, they're just moving around a bit...
You may be wondering: how do these aerophones work? Do they work by themselves? No!
And that gives an extra layer of complexity to the performance of this piece,
because, besides playing the recorder, we need to use three different pedals to control the aerophones.
The multitasking starts right here, with this set of pedals. One pedal is connected to this organ pipe.
When I press it, this is the sound...
When I press this little box here, the pipe starts to "live", let's say, it starts moving.
The pitch will change with the movement.
The other pedal is attached to this beautiful tree up here, with real birds on it. The sound will be like this:
We all have a set of three such pedals, as Hester just showed.
Each of us has a special effect that is different.
Hester has the birds, there is someone who has this little box here this makes a sort of cow sound...
Then there is this special little pipe with four different sounds, that produces a cluster.
So we all have our special little effect!
Interaction with these free aerophones goes in different manners.
Sometimes they interrupt us, or we interrupt them...
...and sometimes we collaborate in a nice way...
It is a great challenge for our mind to control all this installation besides our own playing!

Andrea, what is your role in this process?
I make sure that they play the piece several times,
I make an overview of what they did and what they still need to do.
Then I collect the material at the end and we put together all the pieces...
and... they get their masterpiece!
Here we are, at the office upstairs! From here, Andrea listens to all we play downstairs,
he checks that we do the correct thing, he gives us some advice for the next take...
As you see, we are not in the church anymore.
Our schedule was so tight that we didn't have any time left to record material for our Consort Counsellors episode.
But, let's carry on!
"Quo quondam victa furore" by Paul Leenhouts is actually the oldest piece in the CD.
It was written back in 2015 - way back!
However, you could also say that this is the most virtuosic piece in this album,
because Paul Leenhouts is a recorder player, and a very good one!
Therefore, he writes things that work and are very effective on the recorder - but also very demanding!
The title of the piece has to do with madness, and madness is exactly what you hear all through the piece
in the form of crazy dialogues, interruptions, competition between voices,
strange collaborations between members of the ensemble, while others may be in their own little world...
It is all a sort of "dictionary of madness", you could say.
Working with Paul Leenhouts as a composer is very special to us because we all studied with him.
Therefore, he knows us very well. In this piece he has written solo sections for all of us,
where "our madness" excels in our own personal way. It's very interesting to see how the composer sees us
and how we are translating our own "madness" through the material he has written for us.
If I listen to Maria's solo I think that the madness is expressed in a very "cool" way.
The motives played on the Paetzold c-bass remind me of typing in a computer in a very fast and frantic way,
and this fits Maria very well: going on and on, never give up, never give up...
If I may describe Hester's solo then, I think it has something that may be slightly characteristic of Hester,
which is that she can play fast values very well and in a very fluent way, but also that she has...
...a slight tendency to speed up.
Indeed, you can hear in this solo that the underlying voices are slowly pushing her to play faster and faster
until the moment comes in which she naturally "explodes".

It's time to fight the Final boss from Dream Courts Quest
The Nightmare Beast
In order to be able to face the beast at all, we must fight and win 5 battles in the arena.
