Årets Sneaker 2018 I Top 10 - Rezet Sneaker Store - Duration: 32:54.

It's time 2018 is running out, and 2019 is coming up

We'll take a look back at all the shoes that have come out during the past year

We have assembled a competent panel, and we are going to discuss some of the releases we think have been really cool ...

here at Rezet. We have made a Top 10 that we speak from

We have also had a vote running on Reetz's social media channels

We have listened and looked at what you voted for. The list is not made from ...

Your choice, but some of the shoes are there

This is the Top 10 2018

The panel we are dealing with this year is...

nothing less than Philip Content Creator from Rezet

We have Joachim7inch with us Head of Digital for Soulland. Wine Connoisseur, Sneaker expert since 1970

Thank you thank you!

And here is one who's 23. On the other hand ...

on the other hand, we have what represents the new, the hype...

the realness. Ong! Youtube'eren. Youtube star 2018...

go and follow him. He's on the coming up. PlugFather

And to the far left of me...

a man who does not need any introduction, he'll get it anyways Peter Falktof

King of media just returned from crossing the Atlantic

And this guys best customer!

and a better tan than me, I don't know what's going on! We are at it.

In a 10th place we have Travis Scott's collaboration on a Nike Air Force 1 Low

Ong has it however, not in the colorway

Not that colorway no.

It's the 10th place!

What do we say to that?

I think it's cool alone because I've reached an age where...

Fashion, as you know, goes in circles and is beginning to come back to me...

When I went in school there was the Air Force 1 in both High and Low...

inevitable and it should just be as white as possible and i think it's a...

I'm not necessarily a pretty big fan of classic silhouettes, but just that...

It's a classic for all the right reasons. It is super nice and super clean sneaker

I also find it fun to have a bit of play with some accessories you can take on and off..

That's what I really like about it, it's that there are so many details on the sneaker..

First of all, they have made it in canvas...

and with gum-sole with grillz! And then three different kinds...

Swoosh that you can just put on like...Not grillz

What do you mean G!

That's it after all ... Isn't it grillz? Yes, but it is too much!

Of course I also like the Air Force 1's it goes without saying...

but canvas Air Force 1's is always super dope and he has actually made a ...

really really classic canvas Air Force 1 and I would of course take everything off...

but then it would be like that. Then maybe I wanted to make my own swoosh...

that was white and took the grillz off..

We take number 9 and it's here!

Oh shit! This is going to controversial, it's actually the shoe I wear today BOOM!

Nike or New Balance 990 special release and tribute...

to the year where the model originated in 1982, and therefore the 1982 branding on the side...

That's what makes it different from the General Release which is out...

a version 4 of the 990. Peter I have to throw it over to you ...

What does your opinion about such a shoe?

I wish you didn't wear it...

You can diss it! I just have to come with a disclaimer you know ...

I'm a huge fan of your style. I think you ...

are a fashion icon and the only one who works in fashion that does not look like an funeral employee...

in this country and i think it's really refreshing

I fuckin hate New Balance

I think it's...

A genderless brand that is so ..

the unemployed Art Director who wants to be able to withdraw his latte from his Financial Statements...

it's a sneaker he has read about in some sexless Nordic magazine that he must have ...

sneakers to his suit, but he doesn't dare to get an identity with sneakers so he takes a New Balance...

which insult no one. The funny thing is that I have ... I think my relationship with it is ...

that for me it's related to me going to New York in the early 00s..

It was around when you were born...and it was Made in US and you could...

actually only get it down on Broadway in some creepy sports-store...

And it was, for me, it was fun because it was ugly...

So I want to say that...

I'm also not the biggest fan of the 900 series...

because I also think it reminds me too much of...

about old people who are on a cruises but ...

with high waist cowboy pants ...

and fanny packs. I go straight out and change the kicks...

But I really like New Balance, but I always have ...

more to the 500 series and a little up to the 1000 series which are a bit more run-like to look at...

The reason I think New Balance is nice is the production line ...

The quality. Nike is way behind...

Air Jordans too. So I would say New Balance is a completely different standard

At the 8th place we find ...

Asics Gel-Burz 1 which is...

made in collaboration with a designer named Kiko Kostadinov

It came out in January 2018...

so it's been a while since it came out...

Three colorways which was later followed by a Gel-Burz 2...

also in 3 colorways and recently he has also made a new collaboration on another Asics model...

I like running shoes so I think it's nice my biggest problem with it is that the price point...

was outrageous. What did it cost?

2000 or something?

It is simply too much money and...

I don't think it's because of the production. I think it's because of the customer and I can't have that

We can't really get rid of this over here ...

I say nothing!

That's because they talk about something...

secondary sales have occurred. It's retail

Exactly! I'm talking about retail. We will also come to that...

I mean...

that one it costs only because they know there is...

someone who buys Balanciaga who bother to buy it

There's actually been a lot of cool stuff from Asics... Naked, another Danish

store also did an Asics collab.

Which were the best of those dobbelt-releaes. Definitely!

Also some really nice Gel-Lyte III. The latest one being a

contender for this list, the 'Koi'

in orange, which was really nice.

I was in Tokyo in January..

where Asics has..

you know - Nike x OFF-White status at all times! I wore

the collab they did with Colette

just before they closed, the french store.

I was offered around $5.000 for them on the spot..

I had them on, with no box or anything because..

In Japan where the brand is from. Did you sell them? No!

Damn! But also because..

if you offered me that, I would say yes..

but when its on the spot like that, you kinda go like..

Fuck off! What are you talking about? I don't think a lot of people do, but my point is..

in Asia, where the sneaker-culture is crazy

and the availability is so much lower..

in Hong Kong, where Hypebeast and all those super blogs has their

head quarters, when they hear how many sneaker stores, and the availability of sneakers

there is in Denmark and in Copenhagen

They don't believe it. Yeah, completely.

They have 2 stores with the right rating for 7 mio. people

Copenhagen is the place that has the highest amount of high-rated stores to number of people ratio.

You gotta remember that.

How insanely privileged Copenhagen is in term of sneakers. It also shows

where we are now, and where we're headed, 'cause people start to get interested

more and more for sneakers, and we become..

I mean. It's deserved. Am I the only one

who has this Kiko shoe?

I have it in the Clay colorway. There's no doubt.

I think it's dope. But Im gonna be honest and say I got caught up in the way it was

launched, I thought it looked really interesting and exciting!

I still think its cool..

It's different from so many other things and actually

a quite fun model. I think the release before that was even better.

It really didn't look like.. I like when it doesn't look like a collab, when its kinda

like a hidden gem in some sort of way.

and this one is more

collab-ish as apposed to the previous release, where the sand-colored 'Birch'

and the all black

looks more like a general release. With that in mind, this one is a bit too much for me.

Let's jump to number 7.

Wow is that one the list! I know that one!

That's kinda funny that one!

Who made this list?

Keep calm, keep calm! Why..

is that so low! I'd rather say..

the 10! Hey - let me introduce it..

On a..

7th place is..

Nike X OFF-White Vapormax, the white one..

with clear Air-Unit

A dip-dye darling!

Let's start over here..

boys... what do we say to this one? Huge fan..

Enormous fan of the obvious reasons..

The madness.. the hype..

but also for another reason..

It's very rare that

collabs don't just do something new for

an already existing silhouette, but actually

makes it better, and not just a little better..

but a lot better. I totally agree, and if you take

the first 3 they made so far,

then there was the first, which had a black sole-unit from "The Ten".

Then they did the version that came out together with this one. Around the same time,

which is also black. Then I really think, that this is the best

colorway. If you haven't noticed already,

I really like white shoes, so for me, they hit it just right.

Something else i realle like is the fact that they used red hangtags on it..

What they do with the newer OFF-Whites is to use a blue hangtag,

so the more it looks those from th originals "The Ten"

the more points they get in my book.

I can't wear the Vapormax, they're horrible to walk in.

They just don't fit my feet. But, when talking about

the red or blue hangtag, it just gets marketing and weird

and I really couldn't care less.

You know, there's 2 schoold Joachim. This is Young Money who's..

Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then there's

me who's thinking I can't no longer do that.. But you do it anyways.

Hey, no! There's no..

You've cut them off! No - I don't cut them off, I carefully take them off

and give them to Young Money here.

You do? Lets. jump on to number 6!

Nr. 6 on the list is also one of them that you guys

actually voted quite high on our vote, which is..

a General Release from Nike.

A re-release of their Air Max 98 "Gundam" version

which for many years was a Holy Grail for a lot of sneaker fans,

because you couldn't get your hands on them. Especially in Japan right? Yeah it was almost

a Japan exclusice I believe in the 90's.

This year it came back and proved to be really popular.

It's the definition of doing the right PR-work..

First off, it sells, because this brand you all love - Supreme - made a collab on it

3 years before, taht just stood on the shelfs for I don't know how long..

Nike also had one, but no-one wanted 98's.

All of a sudden, Nike had massaged us long enough for some General Release to..

and its not because its more dope than the others..

At that point, I was like..

Right there I though listen up guys - they grab us around the balls,

and then they just hold us and suck out all of our money.

It's crazy! Listen.. its dope. But no-one

under fucking 25 years knows

the story about Gundam. They were just told that.. Probably none of you anything about it

I have zero knowledge

of Air Max 98. That's because it was the 97 that was dope!

And I think it comes out here when.. You know Mads-Emil, Im not a

sneakerhead to the extend where I have an interest for shoes, that aren't appealing to me,

unless they insult me with their very presence, like the ones you're wearing.

I've seen that one. I also noticed.. Actually, I think

its kinda crazy you're rocking

two brands.. But thats just my OCD. We out here baby!

We're sporting it clean over here!

But I think there's two..

there's a nice and a bad thing about having it on our list..

The fact that it's a general release is really nice. That there's one of them in a Top 10.

Exactly! That there is something for everyone to get out there, and not just those

who are quick on the phone and

on the web, but..

the bad thing about it being a 98, which I think in general is

that Nike is kinda running out..

you know, the wheel just spins around, and now we're entering the 2000 models..

and I can keep on. And they're not dope! No!

2003 is okay. But it's some not very good stuff where half of them looks like bowling shoes. But thats also

why I think that these Fear Of God's - I don't know if its on here - we'll see.

Then someone has to get fired!

But is it out yet?

Yeah it came out last Saturday. Alright.

This guy already has them so..

But what I find nice is.. there's a shift.

they're making something new, and as we talked about before, that hasn't really happened since

Kanye was there and did the 2.

On a 5ft place we find another shoe

from Mr. Virgil Abloh

What is there to say.

I think its super fresh. I think its

poppin'! That's one of those shoes you look after if someone is wearing them on the streets.

That could be this guy!

I have a very ambivalent relationship with this excact model.

'cause I agree, the colorway is

super dope, you know, North Carolina, but on the other hand

they've completely reduced the quality as apposed to the 2 previous ones, the Chicago

and the all white one. 'Cause this one is actually made in plastic where as the others are in fabric.

when you have it in your hand it's really clear that..

Yes the color is great..

Its just not as.. Don't you think its because they had so many complaints for turning the nylon around

so it broke here? Well, I don't think you should be listening so much to complaints.

I can agree on that one, a 100%.

I'll sign that! Wow! You can also turn it around and say..

that you make the shoe your own by breaking it or whatever,

I totally get that.

Would you rather have the white one on the list?

Much rather! Now I don't know if it comes..

but also, what I liked about the white one

But what I like better is

that the white one was a Europe Exclusice, so there's not so many damn Americans

running around in them.. So its also a bit more

limited.. What about you Philip?

Im generally not into Jordans. I really can't get in them.

not even 1's or 2's? And I've evev played basketball, but at that time

I rocked Dada's and And1's...

Oh no he didn't!

with the mahogany on the side.

That's a mixtape! Yeah completely.

that was more me than Jordans.

I can't even. I think the whole story around the Jordan brand is cool but

It's just not appealing to me, so its a huge no-go from me.

We're moving on to number 4..

On a 4th place we find

an adidas show, which

in itself is pretty crazy in 2018. We also have to talk a bit about that.

It's an adidas Futurecraft 4D made in collaboration with an artist

named Arsham, who does a bunch of

installation art and sculptures and so on..

It's super clean. It has a

tone-in-tone colorway. I think its dope.

What do you say boys? I have to say..

and normally im Mr. Clean right - But that.. that's just whack..

This dude Daniel Arsham, he has to fucking stop making shoes.

Just because someone at adidas loves his art, he gets to make some shoes for them..

Fuck that shit! Get rid of it..

It doesn't sell either and looks like hell.

I also think that.. I think that Futurecraft is already on its way out,

It's only Kenneth that rocks them. But..

adidas has just.. Also, I dont get why - sorry to say

adidas is on our Top 10. This one is old.

It gets to stay. But what they're doing over at adidas is really not good.

Deerupt is completely mindblown. The ugliest shoe ever!

Its a Fiat Multipla for shoes.

Its the worst! The worst..

And I love Oregons and all those things

with that sort of web. I loved it, and then they fucked it with this..

But I have to say, I was a 100 on the Futurecrafts.. I love it when they start to

say - what it..

running, as of now.

And they say, okay - Peter, you going to run

on a treadmill and then we'll find out if you're stepping more on this side, so we'll make it more stiff here

and then we'll go over and print it, so it fits you perfectly. Love it!

Is this the kind of shoe that is on Top Lists for the yeay because it

was hard to get? Basically? 'Cause I will say

that the New York one he made, the white one in canvas..

Or SneakersnStuff's version also.

That's way doper! Or Footpatrol's.

What does the Hype-King say?

In general for Futurecraft? I think it looked really

bright for it one year back..

so I'll agree with Mr. OG over here, that it has kinda been forgotten.

The black came out the first time..

where they made around 300 pairs..

Then a small re-release hit the market, but now its like a unicorn.

You don't see it anywhere, because they've made so many of it. About that one..

Now I don't know this Daniel Arsham..

But on the colorway I think its

super dope. I think its crazy how they match the upper with the 3D-printed sole.

I really like it.

And plus what they did about sealing the box

So you couldn't open it, take pictures of it and then resell it.

I think that was pretty nice. Nike has done that before!

Oh yeah. When they made.. you don't remember

when they did the Penny's with that

cartoon with those green.. He's before Penny.

We have to be careful we don't end up in a

split between generations here - he's 23.

Well well, but Penny - you know him.

Yeah.. they also made that one, that if you opened the box it wasn't worth anything.

If we should try to round it op by asking you Ong..

It its not a Yeezy..

What does it take for you to be stoked over an adidas shoe again?

ZX 4000?

Hey! I didn't get that one!

An enormous amount

our manager here on the page..

We don't get any comments on that one!

Moving on the Top 3.

I'll show you some adidas shoes.

Wai, wait, wait - actually I want to take you up on that offer.

I got lots! I hear you have a lot gold that none of the young ones knows about.

I got lots of great adidas shoes, and especially some runners that are fucking dope!

Yo "Inside The Box" with Joachim7inch is coming in 2019!

But listen up!

Yo!

This is not serious. It's straight up.

On a third place..

Also voted for highly..

by you guys. You have 5 minutes left of my time!

Another New Balance 990...

But this time its a verions 3 we're dealing with.

So its actually a classic.

It's Jjjjound. Justin Saunders who...

works for Kanye...

is a creative director..

Can I start? You don't have to say anymore. To all you guys that didn't get it?

Go to New Balance custome NB1, and you can make it yourself.

It's 189 dollars I think.

'Cause thats where he made it. He's just put in another inner sole.. Now, when we're interrupting the host..

Can I just say.. No-one..

Didn't get it!

It sold out immediately.

That's not hard when he made 5!

There's is no-one out there thinking

Damn, damn, damn!

I think its a rather brilliant release in some way. What's it got?

It's really just making a fool out of everyone, when it gets posted for 600 dollars on resell sites..

people didn't get that the man.. He wrote "collab coming up"

and whatever, and again - its a New Balance ID shoe that he made,

and then he wrote to Alibaba.com "hey can you print a logo on these soles"

and then its just gone nuts.

I think thats pretty hilarous but..

he also did that with those Vans..

I think the reason why its on here is because he fucking

tricked everyone because.. And he works for Kanye West!

That can't save him!

He's the one that makes all his jerseys.

He's shown how

you can market something so brilliant via Instagram and say,

this one is coming.. Its fucking dope because there is none of them already.

It sold out in 4 secunds.. He probably only made 3 pairs.

I think he made around a 100.

I think so too. Let's move on

to second place.

2nd place is a Jordan 1

collab with Union. It came out in two

colorways. It came out in a blue

which were a Union Exclusive..

Only sold in LA. You can't

hate on that one Peter!

Wide Release in a red/white..

and where he's flipped the materials.

Definitely inspired by Virgil I'll say..

Listen. I'll say..

if you're going there.. then I know a kid from Göteborg

who's half from Tanzania,

he's got this little clothing brand that I work for

and he made a shoe before that one, that also were deconstructed.

And he hadn't seen the other one.

Its not about talking about deconstruction..

I also have a shoe from UNDFTD from 2006 that is also

deconstructed. Listen up!

He's not the one who did the deconstruction. I agree

that what Virgil has done with deconstruction is cool,

but you can't say,

that what Chris has done with Union is because of what

Virgil did.

It isn't like the Jordan was back in the day? I would say ...

that I was lucky enough to buy a pair ...

Chicago's 1's from 1985...

And I had them in my hands... and then I had...

the Union LA's as well...

and you get the whole old vibe with the right materials...

It's the right leather it's just made in a decent way. Which...

I really appreciate as a Jordan fan...

We jump to the 1st place which...

certainly is going to be controversial...

It turns out....

that the Nike Fear of God which came out a week ago...

at the end of the year unfortunately isn't on the list ...

The guys who sits in the panel here have their free ...

right to have it on theirs. And actually have it in their first place...

It has not been included in the consideration because it ... I think it came so late ...

I don't really think you've got a relationship to the sneaker yet

Unlike the Union's that came out 2 weeks ago!

It's a new classic already!

But on the 1st place!

It made a splash!

Nike have done it again...

So they have introduced a model out of the blue that made ...

a really big impression in 2018 ...

I think it's telling how much Nike dominates this Top 10. If you agree ...

in it or not. Nike Element React yet another model ...

For me, this is also in the Top 3 of the coolest sneakers that came this year

Mathias what do you say on this one?

Well I think it's ...

It's a nice design. I think it's bold that they have made it see-through

Which is actually one of the only things that annoys me. You don't like it?

Well then I have to think about which socks to wear. Don't you do that?

Just a nice Partrick sock from...

Shouldn't it be completely white?

I'm getting a little tired of it now...

I've seen it in so many different colorways. I think it's a shame because it has great potential when we first saw it

Peter which sneaker do you miss on this list?

I think the React should be in a Top 10. I have both the black and the first one ...

I think it's a fantastic sneaker and like ...

the militant lace-system ...

You can tighten them real tight. It's an aggressive shoe ...

I really like it...

What Jerry Lorenzo has done with Nike and Fear of God is such a thing ...

I'm really a big fan of Jerry and Fear of God and all...

despite not being such a...

religious guy especially when...

we're closing in to Dec 24th...

We all talked about roll-out earlier and how big a part it is ...

of what a sneaker can become...

It has been a rumor...

for some years now. The Nike and Fear of God ...

It seemed a little too occult for Nike ...

There are extremely boring to take a brand...

of a religious ex-alcoholic in ...

It doesn't seem to be a typical Nike thing

The sneaker they have made. Now I know there will be some clothes and some fun shoes...

We talk a lot about collabs and ...

Holy crap there are many who are allowed to make a shoe with Nike and adidas for the time being ...

It's been a very long time since someone was allowed to make a new silhouette for Nike. It's probably even farther since someone has got

to create a straight up performance sneaker...

it was straight to NBA...

such a sneaker as Fear of God and Nike have made together. For me...

a perfect shoe. Again it has ...

much like everything else he does military references ...

it is a functional shoe and it is a high-top, but it can be styled in many ways..

and something as aesthetic as everything else he does. I think it's amazing ...

The way it has been rolled out ...

As a rule, you have heard these stories of how unworthy Nike is, even with Travis Scott and those ...

they do not earn $ 1. They just get to have a Nike sneaker because they want to ...

He's like made...

a whole line and the way he rolls it out on ...

here all of December. The Niketown's and flagship stores that just ...

took an entire floor and decorated with some hay and running a rusty pick up truck in ...

to do all that...

with some who are so slow to dance with as Nike. Last time there were someone else who did it ...

who wasn't Lebron James who has X-number performance shoes, it was Kanye!

I am personally excited to see ...

what it brings to Jerry and Nike. I'm looking forward to it

to see if it means more. They have called the Nike FOG 1 ...

Which could mean there's also coming a 2 and 3 etc ..

You also mentioned you missed the Travis Scott Jordan 4's

I would really like to see the Travis Scott 4's...

My personal favorite if I should...

pick one. I love Jordan

Is it number 1 for this year?

At first place? Yes!

Clearly! So the colorway leans against the Eminem's...

they have done before. But if you have it in hands, you can easily see that it is slightly brighter...

Suede...

it's really really nice...

They have this...

splatter design on the heel-tap...

You could not get hold of Eminem...

Because it was limited. No, no but the reason why i mention it...

is because a lot of people said...

when the pictures of the Travis Scott's. So it was like it's just a knockoff of Eminem. But when you...

see it you can really see...

that it's two different sneakers. I was a big fan of the F&F. The purple...

one. But yet again you can't cop it...

It's just a...Well it exists somewhere... Can you get it or can I get it?

At least I can't ... You can't get hold of it ..

There's a big gap between the two definitions...

Philip, something you are missing?

I'm taking a wild one and saying the Shox R4's...

Wow! What!

I'm 39 and the Shox weren't cool the first time...It's only for people...

from Christiania who wears them...

It's being called a burglar pedal where I'm from...to kick in..

the windows at the crib...

Shox won't be back! Silver and red all play ... Well then you have to do it ...

You're sitting there in your Tokyo Loafer...

It's okay! So....

Nike starts ...

Your moccasins and talking Shox man!

It's a free round for all Philip! Walk the fuckin Walk man!

Comme Des Garcons Shox in black! It's coming back! Of course it's coming back!

What does the true OG say? Was there something you lacked here? If there is something missing then it is...

Not just one thing...

But that's because I think ...

Nike SB is totally forgotten...

they're on the way back...

It was actually a contender!

the yellow one...

On the whole, and maybe that's because ...

they pull a bit to much on the guys who can...

but there are really many exciting...

Dunks especially...

which is completely sold out btw...

It shows that Nike SB is on its way back ...

The things they did in 2003-4-5...

It's that vibe I see again and I think ...

that 2019 is bringing much more SB. 100% there was ..

the Purple Lobster yesterday. And Travis Scott is only wearing it...

Yeah and it was sold out like that...

Stüssy has also made a Blazer High

and Low which also sold out...

And Taylor and all those boys have been rocking them for a while. They all go to Shox!

We have to end it soon. We just gotta have ...

one last question. What are you looking forward to in 2019?

What Chunky look goes back to the hell...

It will not happen. Those ugly shoes ...

I look forward to....

the rumors go that adidas is making a ZX 8000 in the original colors again. I've been waiting for that ...

for 6-7 years now. Mathias has as well...

I lie awake every night. He always calls adidas. Yo when do they come!

Option Trading Strategies - Call Ratio BackSpread Strategy - Part 7 - Duration: 23:16.

- [Instructor] Welcome to the part seven of

Option Trading Strategies video series.

So training options for beginners remains my focus

and today's Option Trading Strategy video

is about bull call ratio back spread.

Over the last six parts, I have discussed

many option trading topics in detail.

In case you have landed directly on this particular video,

I would strongly recommend for you to start with

part one of Option Trading Strategy series.

The link to all these video is in the description box below.

So today we're gonna discuss about

bull call ratio back spread,

which is a very aggressive bullish

strategy in the stock market.

I'll take you through brief overview of

bull call ratio back spread along with the basics,

and once we're finished with this,

I will then explain bull call ratio back spread

with help of an example followed by

the risk profile for this particular strategy.

I will then touch upon conditions

when one should think about applying this strategy,

and in the end I will also explain some rules about

applying option strategies in general

that we have been discussing.

So let's get started.

So the first thing that we will start with

is by discussing bull call ratio back spread basics.

Now bull call ratio back spread is created

by buying two out-of-the-money call options

and then simultaneously writing,

that is selling one in-the-money call option.

It's important to note that the underlying stock

or index remains the same

and expiry date for both options should be the same.

So, for example, if Nifty is trading at 10,000 spot

and you buy two out-of-the-money call options

with strike price of 10,200 for Nifty,

that is December series,

then you will have to simultaneously sell

one in-the-money call option with strike price of 9800

or 9900 for Nifty, that is for December series only.

So the number of lots that you buy and write

should be in the ratio 2:1.

So bull call ratio back spread is a strategy

which is implemented when outlook of a particular stock

or index is extremely bullish.

This is when trader expects strong bullish bias to continue

and does not expect price to remain in a range.

Now bull call ratio back spread is a three-leg strategy

in which you buy two out-of-the-money call option

and you write one in-the-money call option.

You can experiment with different strike prices

to make this strategy more aggressive or more conservative,

but I would strongly advise against it.

That is in case you are a beginner

in this particular strategy.

So what I'll do is I'll ask you all

to take a snapshot of the screen

because this summarizes

the strategy that we're gonna discuss.

So in call ratio back spread what we are doing is

we're buying two out-of-the-money call option,

writing one in-the-money call option

and this is to be done when outlook of trade

is extremely bullish on the underlying stock or index.

A few key things that you have to note is that

it has to contain the same stock or index futures,

expiry series has to be the same

and ratio of 2:1 has to be maintained.

So now let us begin with example

and risk profile for this particular strategy.

Now let me take an example of Nifty to explain

bull call ratio back spread in detail.

It's important to select an instrument

where options are actually fairly liquid.

Check for the bid-ask spread on your screen

or the volume for that particular instrument

to see if options are liquid or not.

If options are not liquid,

that is you don't find good volumes

in the options for the particular stock or index,

then simply stay away and select another instrument.

In this particular example, Nifty is trading at 10,950,

and assuming that there are 28 days left to expiry,

and view for Nifty is extremely bullish,

let's go ahead and create

a bull call ratio back spread here,

and then calculate the various profit-loss

and breakeven points for this particular strategy.

So first I will start by explaining

the risk profile for this strategy

and then I will explain the various expiration scenarios.

So bull call ratio back spread for Nifty

is created by buying two out-of-the-money call option

at 11,100 strike price at a premium of Rs.35,

and then simultaneously we are writing one

in-the-money call option with strike price of

10,800 for a premium of 213.

So I will come to strike price selection later,

for now just remember that the net premium paid

to create this strategy is Rs.70

because it is Rs.35 per lot,

and since we're buying two lots,

we're paying Rs.70 as premium.

And the net premium received

for writing this particular call is Rs.213.

So for now just remember this thing.

So what you see in front of you

is the option trading chain for Nifty.

Remember, Nifty spot is at 10,950.

To create a bull call ratio back spread strategy,

we've selected out-of-the-money strike price of 11,100

and in-the-money strike price of 10,800.

Now we buy two lots of 11,100 call at Rs.35,

that is we pay a premium of Rs.70

since we're buying two lots,

and we also write one lot

of 10,800 call option at the rate 213.

That is we receive a premium of Rs.213.

Therefore, the net credit in our account is 70,

that is the debit happened when we bought two lots of

11,100 call, plus 213 credit that we've received

while we have written one lot of 10,800 call option.

Therefore, the net credit is Rs.143.

So there is a small mistake here, the net debit mentioned,

written here is 72 but it's actually Rs.70

because we have paid Rs.35 per lot.

So I hope this particular part is clear.

The kind of strategy that we've created here

is a strategy that has given a net credit in our account

because we've got 213 as credit when we've written the call

and we have paid 70 when we have bought the call.

So the net credit is Rs.143, just keep this in mind.

So this is the risk profile graph for

bull call ratio back spread strategy.

Now as you can see in this particular graph,

this is very different from what

risk profile charts we have seen earlier.

So in this particular strategy we have two breakeven point.

This is the lower breakeven point

and this is the higher breakeven point.

We also have a maximum risk

which is defined and it is capped.

Towards this side you have an opportunity

to make potentially unlimited profit, that is theoretically.

And in this particular side

you still have odds of making money,

but your profit would be limited.

So let us recollect that we bought two lots of

out-of-the-money call option 11,100

for which we paid a premium of 35

and we have written one in-the-money call option

of strike price of 10,800 at the rate 213,

and that is that we have received Rs.213 in our account

and the net credit for this particular strategy is Rs.143.

Now from this particular graph, it is clear that

odds of making money is more in this particular strategy

because we get to profit here,

we get a profit in this particular segment,

and the only portion where we don't make money

is when price stays in a range.

Maximum risk for this particular strategy

is also clearly defined, and it is capped,

which means that risk is limited in this strategy.

So in this section I will show you how to calculate

maximum profit and maximum loss

for this particular strategy.

Now maximum loss in this particular strategy is defined

as strike price of long call

minus strike price of short call

minus the net premium for this particular strategy.

So the maximum loss according to our particular example

would be 11,100, which is strike price of long call

minus 10,800, which is strike price of the short call

minus 143, that is the net premium credit for this strategy.

So maximum risk therefore in points is Rs.157 per lot.

So I hope maximum loss formula is now clear.

Profit aspect will be more clear once we discuss

the breakeven points for this particular strategy.

So in this risk profile chart we have seen that

there are two breakeven point.

The first is the lower breakeven point

and the second is the higher breakeven point.

At breach of first breakeven point,

trader is set to make limited profits

whereas at breach of second breakeven point,

trader can hypothetically make unlimited profit.

Now lower breakeven point is equal to

strike price of short call plus the net credit

that we received for this particular strategy

whereas higher breakeven point is equal to strike price

of long call plus the maximum loss

in points for this particular strategy.

So in this particular chart I have marked out

both lower and higher breakeven point

with respect to the example we are discussing.

So lower breakeven point if you remember

is equal to the strike price of short call

plus the net credit for this strategy.

In this particular case

it is the 10,800 call option strike price

because this is what we have written

plus the 143 that we receive as credit.

Therefore, the lower breakeven point is

10,800 plus 143,

that is 10,943.

Now the higher breakeven point is

equal to strike price of long call

plus the maximum loss for this particular strategy.

In this particular example that we have discussed,

this would translate into strike price of long call

was 11,100 plus maximum loss of this particular strategy

in points was 157 per lot

that we discussed a few slides back.

Therefore, the higher breakeven point would be

11,100 plus 157,

which is equal to 11,257.

So right at the outset we make limited profit

when price of Nifty moves below 10,943,

and we make potentially unlimited profit

when price of Nifty moves above strike price of 11,250.

So the only place where we make loss

is when Nifty stays between 10,950 and 10,250.

So with Nifty at 10,950,

in case you're right in the direction of market,

you stand to make unlimited profit.

In case you're wrong and market starts to slip below

the level that Nifty is trading at,

you still get to make some bit of profit.

So the odds of making money in this particular strategy

for both ways is about 66%,

rest 33 or 34% is when market remains in a range.

This is why the odds are actually much high

in this particular strategy

for you to make potential profits.

So as we've seen in this particular example,

profit is actually unlimited in one case

and loss is actually capped.

Now this is sort of a unique strategy that we have discussed

where odds of actually making money are much higher.

If market moves up with momentum, you stand to benefit,

that is theoretically you can make unlimited profit,

but that is just on paper,

usually profit is also well-defined

based on how much market moves.

If you're wrong in your overall analysis

and price starts to slip below the current price of 10,950,

you would still get to make limited profit.

The only place where you will make loss is

if market stays in a range.

So clearly the key in this strategy is to anticipate

movement in price and then execute this.

This is also a strategy that you can use in events

where you expect strong momentum in prices.

Now in this particular case I would tell you

that events should be major events

and not something like economic data release

or let's say even a RBI policy.

I would categorize this particular strategy

for events something like general elections

would be a very good event to execute this strategy

as market tends to be very volatile around such events.

If markets move up, you will benefit a lot in this strategy.

And if it moves down during general elections,

you would still end up in profits.

The only way you won't make profit is

when market stays in a range,

which is typically very unlikely in a event of

as big magnitude as a general election.

So I hope this particular point is clear.

There is a reason I have released this strategy in December

because there is still about four to five months

to go for general elections,

assuming it will be held in May.

So you can kind of get a grip on this strategy,

so that you can execute it somewhere in 2019

to benefit from it.

So now what we'll go through is various

expiration scenarios for this particular strategy.

Now this is the payoff chart for this strategy.

I usually put out the payoff chart

for each option trading video that I've done.

Take a screenshot of this particular payoff chart,

that is for your reference.

I will now explain some expiration scenarios

so that it is easy for you to understand how to calculate

payoff in this particular strategy.

In case you're not familiar

with the concept of intrinsic value,

time value, I would urge you to start watching from part one

because that is where I have explained

all these basics in detail.

So let us first discuss expiration at 10,900.

Now at 10,900, the 10,800 call

which we had written for a premium of 213

would have net value of Rs.100,

that is intrinsic value of Rs.100.

How do we calculate intrinsic value?

It is a price at which expiration has happened

minus the strike price of call option, right.

So therefore the net profit

in this particular strategy would be 113

because we received 213,

intrinsic value of this option now is 100.

So 213 minus 100 is 113.

The 11,100 call option which we bought

that is two lots for a total of 70

would have intrinsic value of zero.

Therefore, the net loss for

this particular leg would be minus 70.

Therefore, the net profit at 10,900 would be 113 minus 70,

that is Rs.43 per lot.

Again, if you don't understand the concept of

intrinsic value, time value

and how this calculation is done,

I would urge you to start with part one of

Option Trading Strategy's video series,

as I've explained all this in that particular part.

Link to those videos is again in the description box below.

So let us now discuss the expiration at 10,700.

So at 10,700,

the call option that we had written at 10,800 for 213,

that would have a net value of zero,

net profit would be 213.

So here there is one more error,

this 10,700 should be 10,800

because that was the call option that we had written.

So the 11,100 call option,

which we bought that is two lots for Rs.70

would have a net value again of zero.

So the net loss would be minus 70,

so the net profit at 10,700 would be

profit from 10,800 call option

minus the loss from 11,100 call option,

which would amount to Rs.143 per lot.

So I hope it is now clear how to calculate

the payoff in this particular strategy.

Now you need to practice this on your own

for other strike prices and check your results

with the given results in the payoff table

that we saw in the previous slide,

so that you do know how to get

these basics calculation in place,

which would essentially help you to strategize better

inform of executing this particular strategy.

So now I'll put out some rules for you

to follow in this particular strategy.

The number one thing is that

strike price selection is extremely important.

For call buying, I would select

one strike price of a call option

and for call writing I would actually select

one to two strike price of a option.

Now, for example, if Nifty is at 10,950,

I would select 10,800 call option for writing

and 11,100 for buying.

You can even select,

let's say something like 11,000 call option,

but stick to this particular detail that I've given you,

that is to get better at this strategy

and then you can start experimenting.

Now number of days till expiry should be 20 days or more.

At mid of the series if you feel price is

very bullish for the next 30 to 40 days,

execute this strategy for next series,

since only eight to 10 days would be left for expiry.

Let me repeat this again,

you should have at least 20 days or more left to expiry.

In case you're somewhere

in the last week of the current series

and you see that price is bullish for the next

30 to 40 days, what you can do is you can execute

this strategy for the next series.

I hope this particular point is clear.

Now when volatility is too high,

avoid implementing this strategy.

You don't need volatility to cool off,

that would actually hamper

the payoff for this particular strategy.

If volatility expands with your positions,

you would actually tend to profit more.

In the end I would only tell one thing

that avoid too deep in-the-money

or too far out-of-the-money options in the beginning.

Probability of losses will increase and it's possible

that you will abandon this strategy.

So if you're beginning or if you're a beginner

in this particular strategy,

stick with what I've given here,

that is one strike price of a call option

and one to two strike prices away

for the option that you're going to write.

So this strategy is for times when trader is

right on two components, that is uptrend and momentum.

So, therefore, this strategy should not be executed

when either of the two is missing.

That is either you cannot see a clear uptrend

or you see that momentum is missing.

So momentum on the upside should be clearly visible

in terms of wide range bars or candles.

That is something I have repeatedly discussed in my videos,

even the last option trading video,

and trend should be clearly identifiable as up, right.

Also do remember one thing that volatility

is actually more cyclical than price,

and therefore when you spot volatility expanding from

a kind of a low cycle, think of executing this strategy

because that is where you stand to benefit the most.

Your underlying aim is for price to move.

If it moves up you stand to profit the most

and if it moves down,

you would still get to make some returns.

It is just that you have to ensure

that you don't have to execute this strategy

when you visualize that price is going to remain in a range.

So now we're covering so many strategies

that it is practically impossible to execute

each strategy on a consistent basis.

Now this is where I'm going to

give you some professional guidance

because what happens is that there are

so many wonderful people on YouTube

who have shared so much information

for everyone to benefit from, but the key for you guys

is not to get overloaded with the information out here.

You have to assess your own psychological comfort

with the kind of strategies that you see

on this channel or some other channel,

and once you have assessed your own psychological comfort,

you then need to pick the strategy

which you will work on further.

I hope this particular point is clear.

Now see, a trading strategy successfully

actually involves two essential components.

First is understanding the strategy,

and second is making that particular strategy

your own strategy depending upon

your own risk and psychological profile.

Now too many traders try to learn so many things,

this is not the right approach.

Focus on what you think is right

and then work on that particular method.

The point that I'm trying to emphasize is

that you have to become a master of let's say

a pattern or a strategy or a setup.

This is the only way you should approach all the information

that you see in front of you.

What I'm sharing here will help you understand

a lot of things about market,

but in the end it is you

who have to put in all the hard work

and you have to consistently practice these strategies.

Now in the end I'll just you one thing

that be it trading or be it investing,

this is a very long-term game

and results won't come in the short-term.

Do focus on the long-term only

and try and focus on the method

rather than how much money you are making.

So the next part in the Options Trading series

will be about straddle and strangles.

And once I finish with straddle and strangle,

I will then move to put options segment.

What I intend to do here is that

once I finish off with these particular two videos

on strangle and straddle,

I'll then take up some put options video

and then we will move towards open interest analysis

and picking out trades from options charts.

So I hope this particular strategy is clear to you,

which we discussed this particular week.

In case you have any doubt about what I've shared,

just leave a comment below

and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

So thanks a lot for watching this video guys,

have a great week ahead and be safe.
